>First and foremost, tell us something from the history of your band founding. Were there any special events in your live that prompted to create the band?
I already played in several bands before witch different music styles. After I made lots of electronic music I wanted to concentrate guitar sounds again, but still introduces electronic elements. An image was found quickly - we wanted to be conspicuous at any price with sex, drugs, rock ‘n’ roll. We provoke that our massage would be heard.
And why such a title - Bionic Angel was chosen?
Bionic Angel should stay for the extremes of the world. A symbol for the polarity of the world light/dark, black/white, good/evil etc. The Bionic Angel should represent this. A character between good and evil, light and shadow, heaven and hell.
Maybe, this question is not new for you, but can you describe your album “Digital Violence” (2008) in a few words?
The digital violence album is about the increasing digitalization of the world. This is a blessing as well as a curse. Fact is that digitalization goes on. It depends on the people what they are doing with it. Are they going to take the technology as a gift or do they abuse the power of it. The new technologies hold many new options but there is still the danger that greedy for power obsessed people will t

ake over these technologies to inflict and damage others.
And what is the main conception of the album?
The concept includes the human race with all its problems. Problems that come but also the problems they made by themselves. Like the climate, religion, war etc. Many problems are home made and the human being has also learn that himself is the reason for this and he has the responsibility for it. He has to learn so solve these problems. The other thing is that the readiness of violence and the outrage increased a lot during the last years. All these things we treat in our songs.
How much time did it take you to do the recordings on the whole?
The recording took nearly 1,5 month time.
There is the only song in German in your debut album. The others are in English. Why have you chosen this language as dominating?
There was a special reason. It’s a little bit easier for me to express and write texts in German. And that’s the reason, why we decided to make two songs in German. Further on each language has its own sound and the song gets a different impression. And that’s how we thought it.
Will you skip to German more in new recordings or leave the English language as the main one?
Yes, on the album you will find more songs in German. The re

quest of our fans for more songs in this direction was very big.
And who was the author of the album cover? Does it fully render the concept if the album?
The Hammer an I created the cover artwork like that - a biological and mechanical angel that represents the Bionic Angel. He stands for the concept of the album and for the world with its increasing techniqualaziation
Your debut album was warmly received by the public and it is really worth attention, to my mind. But what’s your general attitude towards those who can boldly criticize any music piece of art?
There will always be people with the taste for different music. The thing is to reach people and get a connection to them with our music. It’s OK if it doesn’t work always. We are all inimitable human beings on this planet and everyone is special. We are happy if people like our music - but if not, OK! No one hast to listen to our music!
Are you satisfied with the cooperation with Schwarzdorn Production? Will you continue working together in future?
Up to now we were really happy. Schwarzdorn is a very little Label but they did so much for us. How the co-operation goes on and if it goes on I can’t say this time. The band will go through some changing and we have to see what the label says about that. Schwarzdorn has given u

s completely free hand for all music and art side, what we really appreciate.
It’s not a secret that the sound during live shows of any band differ from the recorded songs. They can seem more heavy, more dynamic, etc. Do you add any special instruments to your live shows that you don’t use in recorded songs?
No, the songs are live a little bit stronger. The keyboard sound is not the same because we use in the studio up to 10 different “synths” what live is not possible. There is only one but the sounds were nearly fit that they sound similar.
As far as I know, you behave very provocatively during the shows. Is it the way to attract the attention or just the part of your stage image, natural behavior?
On stage it is running very wild. We show our dark side. Because of specific requirements we are not always aloud to present the whole show. But we give our best to entertain our public as good as possible.
To my mind, The Angry Princess is an inalienable member of Bionic Angel. How did you came up to the idea of working together?
I saw her dancing at my favorite club and was completely fascinated of her dancing style. I thought it will be an good idea if she could make this live on stage and that’s how the teamwork started. She is our bright spot on the stage and mainly the male pu

blic loves her. We always wanted to be noticed visual. It shall sounds good but also be pleasing for the eye.
Many fans have already seen your clip for the song “End of All Days”. And I’ve heard that you are in the process of shooting one more video “Killing Myself”. How soon it can be available for watching?
The clip should be ready at all but we still work hard on it and hope we can present it soon.
What song will be chosen as the third one for a video clip shooting?
We haven’t become conclusive until now. The fans have proposed some titles but we don’t have a definitely favorite. It depends on what still is happening
And what should we expect from new recordings?
There will becoming some changing but it still will be recognized definitely as Bionic Angel. We work on the following album and it’s really different to the debut album. In the next time we will present some new songs and see how our fans will react on them. We are lucky to test the songs live and see the reactions of our fans.
In one f the interviews you told that “there will always be similarities and people will compare us”. What kind of reaction will you have if, for example, you hear that someone compares your songs with that of any other band?
I’m very amused about it. In

some case I recognize what people mean but on the other things I can’t imagine the comparisons and it make me speechless what similarities people hear. That’s no problem for us because you were always compared with other bands and I don’t want to say we invented the type new. If someone likes the band, it’s complementary now and then.
Of course, tastes differ, but what is better for you: the mixture of different music styles or trying to create something new?
You can call it like you want. It stays the same. Our music sounds like it does and of course you are always affected by things which inspires you. In my case these are different bands and sometimes elements creep in unconsciously in your music. It was there before but maybe not this form and especially that makes it to something unique.
What are the influences of your creativity? What helps you to create songs?
I like to listening to many different music styles and watching horror movies is very inspiration for me. I love the atmosphere and get immediately ideas for songs. But also pictures and stories help me to become creative and bring some new ideas.
Are all you band members share the same ideas concerning Bionic Angel’s creative work?
No, not ever. There are many splitted meanings and conceptions in the band but in the end we get it that we all can live with it.
You’ve taken your nicknames from the film “13 Ghosts”. It can create an impression that horror films influence you greatly. Am I right?
Of course completely immense yet. I love these kind of movies and can’t get enough of them. At home I have a acceptable collection of different movies including the one or other real gem.
Are you fond of cinema in general?
Yes, I really enjoy watching movies. I’ve been always fascinated by movies. The whole action is very exciting and interesting for me. There is mostly lots of creativity behind it.
What are the other activities that you practice except for music? Do you have any special hobbies?
I like watching movies, reading, play Xbox 360 or PS3 games as time permits.
Can you define a few things that you can’t live without in your daily life?
My family and friends, my PC, mobile and for sure everything you need to make music like guitars, synths, etc.
When will we have a possibility to see your live show in our country?
I hope very soon. We are still working on it but there wasn’t any possibility. We look for it and hope that it is possible in a while. We are very hot in it.
And finally, a few words to our readers and your fans in our country!
