It’s been four long years since Los Angeles hardcore collective Trash Talk dropped new music. Satiating fans with the recent announcement their latest EP, Squalor, the band connected with prolific hip hip producer Kenny Beats to craft a complete release, a first for the band. Among Kenny’s more notable credits include production with the likes of Denzel Curry, Vince Staples, Gucci Mane, 03 Greedo, and Schoolboy Q to name a few. The band’s guitarist Garrett Stevenson said, “Working with Kenny was the first time we’ve had real input in the studio. We stepped outside our typical routine.”
Tapping revered graphic artist and visionary behind streetwear brands Wasted Youth and Girls Don’t Cry, Verdy handled the detailed cover art for the latest Trash Talk release.
Set to launch June 5th, “Something Wicked” offers a minute and twenty-something second sample of Trash Talk’s signature brand of Molotov cocktail music.
