FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH: Video Recap Of Singapore ConcertLas Vegas metallers FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH have uploaded behind-the-scenes and performance footage from their March 5 concert at Fort Canning Park in Singapore. Check out the two-minute clip below.
FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH recently selected its surprising cover of the classic folk song "The House Of The Rising Sun" as the next single from the band's recently released album, "The Wrong Side Of Heaven And The Righteous Side Of Hell Volume 2". The disc came out on November 19, 2013 and is the second half of a two-record set, with "Volume 1" coming out in July 2013.
FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH filmed a "gasoline and rocket-fuel-soaked video" for "The House Of The Rising Sun" in the desert.
According to The Pulse Of Radio, the original author of "The House Of The Rising Sun" is unknown and the song's roots may date back to the 16th century.
The oldest known existing recording is by Appalachian artists Clarence "Tom" Ashley and Gwen Foster, who recorded it for Vocalion Records in 1934.
The most successful commercial version was recorded by the English rock group THE ANIMALS in 1964, which was a No. 1 hit in the U.K., the U.S., Sweden, Finland and Canada.
The members of FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH discussed in a recently released video clip how they changed up the classic song to give it a hard-rock vibe, most notably, by switching the song's time signature from 6/8 to 4/4.
"We had the idea to do this for a while," explained guitarist Zoltan Bathory. "The interesting thing about this song is that [it's] actually in a time signature of 6/8 which is a waltz… and rock music and waltz doesn't necessarily mix right."
He continued: "So basically the challenge was: 'How do we make this song work? How do we take away that goofy vibe and how do we make it into a rock structure?'"
"The Wrong Side Of Heaven And The Righteous Side Of Hell Volume 2" sold 77,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 2 on The Billboard 200 chart.
The first half of "The Wrong Side Of Heaven And The Righteous Side Of Hell" debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard album chart, selling 113,000 copies in its first week of release. 1

SEPULTURA: Enschede Concert FootageFan-filmed video footage of SEPULTURA's March 7 performance at Atak in Enschede, The Netherlands can be seen below.
SEPULTURA's new album, "The Mediator Between Head And Hands Must Be The Heart", sold around 1,800 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD came out on October 29, 2013 via Nuclear Blast Records.
Although it was inspired by Fritz Lang's classic 1927 movie "Metropolis", "The Mediator Between Head And Hands Must Be The Heart" is not a concept album or a soundtrack like its precedessors "Dante XXI" (based on "The Divine Comedy") and "A-Lex" (based on "A Clockwork Orange").
"The Mediator Between The Head And Hands Must Be The Heart" was tracked over a 40-day period at producer Ross Robinson's (KORN, LIMP BIZKIT, SLIPKNOT) studio in Venice, California and was mixed and mastered by co-producer Steve Evetts, who previously worked with SEPULTURA on the "Nation" (2001), "Revolusongs" (2002) and "Roorback" (2003) albums, in addition to having collaborated with Ross on a number of other projects in the past.
In a 2013 interview with Live-Metal.net, SEPULTURA singer Derrick Green stated about the new album title: "We always have the simple one-word titles or very basic. And with this we knew what we wanted to do. We wanted to maybe make people think a little bit.
"I think we have become lobotomized, including myself, because I'm not putting myself outside of anything. I think a lot of times we live in a time where people are thinking actions or creating ideas — doing something in their head but going right to their hands. And they're missing the essential part, the heart and the compassion, that's behind what you are doing. And (the title) came from a movie called 'Metropolis' (1927) by a director called Fritz Lang, and it's a silent movie. And it's actually the first thing you see in the movie. And the meaning behind it is just that: It's impossible to be human without having the heart dictate what you're doing and why you're doing certain things.
"So I believe this album has that passion and drive and love for music.
"So many things I've been hearing are just about trying to be perfect, with the digital age and trying to make everything sound perfect. Like on albums and things like that, it doesn't even sound real. It doesn't sound human anymore. So this is something going back to really trying not to be perfect. We're trying to pull out that love and desire and just grabbing that moment, placing it on an album and recording it, and not being worried about those other things." 1

CRADLE OF FILTH: 'Beneath The Howling Stars' Performance Clip From European TourVideo footage of British extreme metallers CRADLE OF FILTH performing the song "Beneath The Howling Stars" live during their recently completed European co-headlining tour with BEHEMOTH can be seen below.
Guitarists Paul Allender and James McIllroy both sat out CRADLE OF FILTH's European tour with BEHEMOTH due to "hugely important family matters" and "serious neck surgery," respectively. Filling in for them were Ashok of Czech groups ROOT and INNER FEAR and Richard Shaw of English acts EMPEROR CHUNG and NG26.
2014 marks the 20th anniversary of "The Principle Of Evil Made Flesh", the historic debut album from CRADLE OF FILTH on Cacophonous Records. To honor this momentous occasion, CRADLE OF FILTH is planning a whole smorgasbord of exciting stuff, including the first-ever CRADLE OF FILTH comic, the release of a career-spanning double disc best-of, and, of course, the subsequent touring.
CRADLE OF FILTH's tenth studio album, "The Manticore And Other Horrors", sold 4,500 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 96 on The Billboard 200 chart. The band's previous full-length effort, "Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa", opened with 5,800 units in November 2010 to land at No. 99. 23

SATYRICON To Be Joined By Special Guests At Oslo ConcertNorwegian black metallers SATYRICON will play a special concert on March 21 at Rockefeller in Oslo, Norway.
Says the band: "We will be joined by a brass ensemble consisting of members from the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra and the Norwegian Radio Orchestra. Some of these guys performed both on 'Now, Diabolical' and 'The Age Of Nero', and live with SATYRICON in the past.
"With Nocturno Culto from DARKTHRONE already confirmed as special guest on 'Nemesis Divina' songs, THORNS mastermind Snorre Ruch will be there performing classic THORNS songs that Satyr recorded with him, and Sivert Høyem is joining for the new single 'Phoenix', the list of special guest is complete and one we are proud of.
"The cult act THORNS is one of black metal's first and most inspirational band, influencing bands like MAYHEM, DARKTHRONE, EMPEROR, BURZUM and so on. Satyr has worked closely with THORNS' music, and Mr. Ruch worked closely with SATYRICON on 'Now, Diabolical' and 'The Age Of Nero'. Together, we will perform classic songs from the album THORNS that Satyr co-produced and did vocals on. THORNS do not play live, so this is the first time these song will be performed live with one of Norwegian black metal's most influential artists on stage for this exclusive."
SATYRICON's self-titled album sold around 1,600 copies in the United States in its first week of release. This is roughly in line with the opening-week performance of the band's previous CD, "The Age of Nero", which premiered with 1,700 units back in November 2008.
"Satyricon" debuted at position No. 1 on the official chart in the band's home country — the first time one of the group's releases topped the chart in Norway. "Satyricon" also saw success internationally, debuting at No. 6 in Finland, No. 23 in Germany and No. 26 in Austria. By comparison, SATYRICON's previous studio album, "2008'a "The Age Of Nero", entered the chart at No. 5 in Norway and No. 73 in Germany.
"Satyricon" was recorded in Norway between January and May 2013 and was produced by SATYRICON frontman Sigurd "Satyr" Wongraven. Mixing took place in Seattle by Adam Kasper and Satyr. 4

SLIPKNOT's COREY TAYLOR Featured In 'Fear Clinic' Teaser Trailer (Video)SLIPKNOT and STONE SOUR frontman Corey Taylor last year joined the cast of an upcoming horror film called "Fear Clinic". The movie began life in 2009 as a five-episode series for the web site FearNet.com. The series starred Robert Englund, famous for playing Freddy Krueger in "A Nightmare On Elm Street", Lucas Till from "X-Men: First Class", Danielle Harris of "Halloween 4" fame and Kane Hodder, best known for playing Jason in several of the "Friday The 13th" movies.
The first teaser trailer for "Fear Clinic" can be seen below.
Englund returns in the film to his lead role as Dr. Andover, a fear doctor who treats patients afflicted with crippling phobias by inducing hallucinations inside his exposure therapy invention; The Fear Chamber.
The series, which focused on a different phobia every episode, reached over five million hits on FearNet.com. It has since been added to On Demand, YouTube and Hulu.
In the film, Taylor plays a clinic employee named Bauer who struggles to keep things under control when all hell breaks loose. The movie centers around one traumatic event that induces phobias in a group of different people.
"Fear Clinic" is scheduled for a Halloween 2014 release. Taylor told The Pulse Of Radio a while back that he was more interested in screenwriting than acting. "I have no aspirations to really get into acting, you know," he said. "I mean, it's something that -- I've always wanted to write for movies, you know, I've always wanted to write a screenplay and I've written a couple in the past and what not. But yeah, if it happens, it happens, you know. It's not something that I pursue."
Taylor and fellow SLIPKNOT member Shawn "Clown" Crahan have their own film production company called Living, Breathing Films, although to date the company has yet to announce or produce a movie.
Crahan is reportedly set to make his directing debut with "Officer Downe", based on a graphic novel.

FLOTSAM AND JETSAM: Fan-Filmed Footage Of Enschede ConcertFan-Filmed video footage of FLOTSAM AND JETSAM's March 7 performance at Atak in Enschede, The Netherlands can be seen below.
FLOTSAM AND JETSAM released "No Place For Disgrace - 2014", a re-recording of the band's second album, "No Place For Disgrace", on February 14 in Europe and digitally on February 18 in North America via Metal Blade Records. The physical CD was made available in North America on March 4.
Comments FLOTSAM AND JETSAM: "We have re-recorded 'No Place For Disgrace' because we have had a lot of requests to remix this record.
"The master tapes have been very difficult to obtain so we decided to re-record the album and use some of today's technologies to recreate it. The aim was not really to change but to enhance it with the opportunity with the use of new tools. We have the time available as well, and it just seemed like a no-brainer.
"A lot of the die-hards are really nervous about it, but we think after the final result, they will embrace it. The sound quality is 100% better and more refined!"
FLOTSAM AND JETSAM will play a special concert at the Keep It True XVII festival, set to take place April 25-26, 2014 at Tauberfrankenhalle in Lauda-Königshofen, Germany. The band's set will consists of songs only from their first two classics — "Doomsday For The Deceiver" (1986) and "No Place For Disgrace" (1988).
FLOTSAM AND JETSAM's lineup for Keep It True XVII will consist of four of five original members — Eric "A.K." Knutson (vocals), Kelly Smith (drums), Ed Carlson (guitar) and Michael Gilbert (guitar). Playing bass at the show will be Michael Spencer, who replaced Jason Newsted in 1987 and did the first European tours with the band.
FLOTSAM AND JETSAM recently returned to Metal Blade Records to release their new album, "Ugly Noise".
"Ugly Noise" is FLOTSAM AND JETSAM's eleventh full-length album, their first release on Metal Blade since 2001, and the follow-up to their 2010 album "The Cold". The record also heralds the return of original members Michael Gilbert on guitar and Kelly David Smith, who hadn't recorded with FLOTSAM AND JETSAM since "High" in 1997.
Funding for the new FLOTSAM AND JETSAM album was aided by the PledgeMusic.com project, which encourages fans to contribute funds to the recording of albums and the artists themselves to donate to charity as a part of their fundraising.

STREAM OF PASSION: 'The Curse' Lyric Video ReleasedThe official lyric video for the song "The Curse" from Dutch/Mexican symphonic/progressive metallers STREAM OF PASSION can be seen below. The track is taken from the band's new album, "A War Of Our Own", which will be released on April 18 via PIAS/Rough Trade. The CD is described in a press release as "the result of the struggle the band had to endure after they decided to part ways with their record label and continue on their own path."
Comments STREAM OF PASSION singer Marcela Bovio: "A corporate impasse such as this affects your peace of mind.
"The idea of crowd funding changed everything. It was heart-warming to see how many people were prepared to support us and what they were willing to do to secure our future. Through this, we've grown closer to our fans; they played a major part in creating this album."
The red thread of the album is conflict in all its forms: personal battles, like disease and depression, corporate battles the band was confronted with themselves, but also the turmoil that destroys a land, mainly the drug wars of Mexico, the native country of Bovio. Musically the band has perfected their sound by ambitiously pushing their boundaries; "A War Of Our Own" is more progressive and melodic than ever, with symphonic elements and an emotional undertone, heavy with Latin-American influences.
"A War Of Our Own" track listing:
01. Monster02. A War Of Our Own03. The Curse04. Autophobia05. Burning Star06. For You07. Exile08. Delirio09. Earthquake10. Secrets11. Don't Let Go12. Out Of The Darkness13. The Distance Between Us (digipack bonus track)
STREAM OF PASSION's last CD, "Darker Days", was released in North America in July 2011 via Napalm Records. The effort was recorded at Sandlane Recording Facilities in Rijen, Holland. 5

The track is taken from the band's second album, "Steelcrusher", which was released on CD and colored vinyl on January 27 in Europe and February 4 in North America via Sonic Attack/SPV. The effort was produced by Tal Vaisman and mixed and mastered by Chris "Zeuss" Harris.
"Steelcrusher" track listing:
01. Hymn To The Steel (intro)02. Steelcrusher03. Metal Rules Tonight04. Into Hell05. We Are The People06. Burning The Road07. Ironbound08. Unholy Art09. Satanic Lust10. Liar11. Damnation Arise12. Heading For War13. In The Name Of The Fallen
The song "We Are The People" includes a guest guitar solo by SEPULTURA's Andreas Kisser.
The video for the "Steelcrusher" title track can be seen below.
Comments HAMMERCULT singer Yakir Shochat: "This is a live video of the band performing the song 'Steelcrusher' live for the first time, which is truly capturing the raw power and unstoppable energy of HAMMERCULT live stage show. It clearly can be seen that the mania raged well within the crowd and the band to one big extreme metal party!
"We have chosen to kickstart 'Steelcrusher' with the self-titled video and a live video because it old the real essence of us as a live band, without any filtering, editing and over-hyped budget or scripted stuff — just pure metal onslaught, and making the fans roar, which is what we do best."
The "Steelcrusher" cover artwork was created by Andreas Marshall, the Berlin-based artist who has previously worked with BLIND GUARDIAN, IN FLAMES, RUNNING WILD and HAMMERFALL, among others.
"We definitely have European influences and have grown up with bands like KREATOR, DESTRUCTION and SODOM," says HAMMERCULT frontman Yakir Shochat. "Lots of important groups signed with Noise Records in their early days. That's why we're particularly happy that 'Steelcrusher' will be out on Sonic Attack, Noise founder Karl Walterbach's current label. So as fans of that great Noise era, we've come full circle in that respect." 1

DREGEN Exits MICHAEL MONROE's Band To Focus On Solo Career, BACKYARD BABIESSwedish guitarist/vocalist Dregen (real name: Andreas Tyrone Svensson) has announced his departure from former HANOI ROCKS singer Michael Monroe's solo band to focus on a solo career.
Dregen has played guitar in Michael Monroe's live band since the summer of 2011, and he also played on the band's latest album, "Horns and Halos". Replacing him is British guitarist Rich Jones (THE GINGER WILDHEART BAND, THE BLACK HALOS), who first appeared with Monroe on tour last autumn.
"Luckily, Rich, who has done an excellent job as Dregen's substitute, has gelled into the band's chemistry so well that the rest of the band welcomes him with open arms as a permanent member. And so the saga continues," says Michael Monroe.
Dregen's solo band will appear as Michael Monroe's opening act on their gigs in Finland at Pakkahuone (Tampere), Tavastia (Helsinki), Kaivohuone (Naantali) and M/S Viking Grace in April and May.
"It's been three amazing years in the Michael Monroe band and I've been enjoying every second of it!" says Dregen. "I'm gonna miss this band so much, but it's time for me to focus on my solo career and future BACKYARD BABIES albums. I hope that I contributed positive energy, great live shows, riffs, dirt, and songs on [Monroe's latest album] 'Horns And Halos' that gave Michael Monroe an extra dimension after 'Sensory Overdrive'. This band is so good so they'll be fine without me.
"I'll be supporting Michael Monroe with my solo band in April and May. What a great package! What a great show! What a great ending!"
"Dregen and his band opening up for Michael Monroe is a nice send-off and a special treat for the fans," adds Michael Monroe.
Dregen released his self-titled debut solo album on September 25, 2013 via Universal Music in Sweden. The CD was issued via Spinefarm Records in the U.K. on September 30, 2013.
"Horns And Halos" was certified gold in Finland for sales in excess of 10,000 copies within the first week of the CD's release. Released on August 27, 2013 via Spinefarm Records, the CD is the follow-up to the 2011 critically acclaimed "Sensory Overdrive", winner of Classic Rock magazine's "Album Of The Year" and a No. 1 record in Monroe's Finnish homeland.

CRUCIFIED BARBARA Signs With DESPOTZ RECORDSSwedish all-girl hard rock quartet CRUCIFIED BARBARA has signed a recording and publishing deal with Despotz Records. The band is putting the finishing touches on its fourth album for an August release.
Said CRUCIFIED BARBARA in a statement: "We have more energy and take a much clearer position than ever before, and the result has been so far our absolute best, hardest and most important album.
"We are super excited to have signed with Despotz. The album of the year deserves a fantastic record label."
Added Despotz co-founder and partner Ömer Akay: "The signing of CRUCIFIED BARBARA fits perfectly in line with our strategy and goal to be a choice for Sweden's biggest rock bands, where they can work closely with a local Stockholm-based music company on a global basis with an international PR and distribution network. We are incredibly proud that these wonderfully gifted musicians chose to sign with Despotz."
CRUCIFIED BARBARA's latest album, "The Midnight Chase", was released in May 2012 in Europe and in July 2012 in North America via Nuclear Blast. The CD was recorded at Music-A-Matic Vintage Recording Studio in Gothenberg, Sweden with sound engineer Henryk Lipp and producer Chips Kiesby.
Formed in Stockholm in 1998 by bassist Ida Evileye (now-wife of MESHUGGAH drummer Tomas Haake) and Force, CRUCIFIED BARBARA plays a fiery brand of rock 'n' roll tinged with metal and lashings of punk, pop, thrash, and whatever else dares to cross their path. Ida Evileye dominates her trusty Sandberg bass, Force rocks steady on her '76 Gibson Explorer, Coldheart belts out her unapologetic vocals while riffing all over her Gibson Gothic Flying V, and Nicki Wicked pounds on her hot pink sparkle Yamaha Maple drum kit until you're splayed across the floor with a bull's-eye knock-out punch that'll make you spit your teeth out. Now you know what happens when MOTÖRHEAD mates with THE RUNAWAYS. 2

CAGE - New Album, Tour Plan UpdatesLong-running San Diego power metallers CAGE are in the process of recording Ancient Evil, a story-based release that singer Sean Peck teases will include a special (well known) guest vocalist, in the role of lead character Elliot Worthington. To date, Peck has finished seven songs and pre-orders will be available shortly. Previously, the confident frontman offered this synopsis of the forthcoming project, a horror-concept CD set in London in 1869. "It is very much influenced by HP Lovecraft and will ship with a 90 page mini novel telling the story in detail."
Cage recently added a trio of new members (NIHILIST drummer Sean Elg, DETONATED bassist Dwight Magic and MONUMENT guitarist Casey "The Sentinel" Trask), but that hasn't slowed them down. In addition to time in the studio, the band are committed to Europe, this July, including a stop at the Headbanger Open Air (northern Germany, 24th-26th) and are currently investigating an eastern North America trek, around October. 2

Nashville’s FOREST OF TYGERS Readying Debut EP Bruises; Streaming Track ‘Wet Death’FOREST OF TYGERS are a genre-bending, blackened and manic metal duo from Nashville, TN poised to unleash their debut EP, Bruises, on April 29th. The release will be available on cassette via Primitive Violence and on CD/digital via Bandcamp, iTunes and the band's own imprint Acteon.
Longtime scene veterans and married couple Jim and Rachel Valosik forge a crushing wall of sonic oppression that combines black metal, hardcore, death and grind into a brutally primitive yet technical frenzy, all the while artfully co-existing with fractured soundscapes, loops, haunting vocals and dark lyrics.
Relentless and obsessively cohesive, Forest Of Tygers are as complex as they are urgent in the world of extreme metal. They’ve already shared the stage with the likes of INTER ARMA, WOE, NOISEM and SHROUD EATER, and with a slew of live appearances in the works, 2014 looks set to be the year of the Tyger.

ADAMANTRA - Act II: Silent Narratives Album Due In May; Track Samples AvailablePower Prog recently announced the signing of Finnish symphonic progressive power metallers ADAMANTRA. The band's sophomore album, Act II: Silent Narratives, will be released worldwide on CD and as a digital download on May 23rd.
The idea of forming Adamantra saw the daylight about a decade ago in Helsinki (Finland), when bass player Jukka Hoffrén started to record some of his tunes and ideas on a friends computer. As the songs were given their final shape during the process of pre-production, it was time to form a band to have the opportunity for live performances. Despite of placing numerous of ads in several music magazines and on different websites, a really fitting lineup was somewhat difficult to create. However the real solution was closer than expected. Tuomas Nieminen, Mikko Sepponen and Panu Kiskola were already known from earlier bands and lineups. The band made records and played gigs for many years with several session keyboardists until 2010 Christian Pulkkinen finally stepped into the picture. The Adamantra lineup is not unknown in the Finnish music scene and includes musicians from such bands as COVENTHRALL, EPICRENEL, THE RAGGED SAINTS and SIMULACRUM.
After their first EP of 2006 and their debut album Revival of 2009, Adamantra started the composing, rehearsing and recording of new tracks in August 2010. It takes a few years, a bit of blood and sweat and the one or the other larger effort to realize a result, in which everyone is really happy and satisfied. Act II: Silent Narratives has become an album with a lot of different aspects and full of emotions. A mix of progressive, symphonic and harder metal influences, independently in its execution and with a high recognition value. With each track the band manages to find the crucial melody in an impressive way and which settles in the ear canal. And also longer instrumental passages fit seamlessly to the total work of art. Act II: Silent Narratives is the smoking gun that it pays to take time for all the things that are personally, but also in terms of professionalism, important and not always to be satisfied with a quick result. Now the current scenario is that you can expect a real symphonic
progressive power metal blast of a band with a promising future that is more than worthy of your undivided attention.
Act II: Silent Narratives tracklisting:
'Lionheart'
'In The Shadow Of The Cross'

SPELL To Release Debut 12” On Record Store DaySPELL (formerly known as STRYKER) are a hypnotizing heavy metal band from Vancouver, BC crafting classic NWOBHM into an original, haunting vision.
With two releases in their arsenal of magick, 2010's self-released EP Possessed By Heavy Metal and the 2012 split 7” Possessed By the Heavy Metal Embrace with Australia’s JOHNNY TOUCH on Hellrocker Records, Spell are preparing to cast their debut 12” The Full Moon Sessions on Record Store Day (April 19th) via Toronto’s Hard And Heavy Records.
The Full Moon Sessions tracklisting:
'Electric Witchery'
'Possessed by Heavy Metal'
'Shocker'
'Too Wild To Live (Too Young To Die)'
'Zott Lee'
Comprised of Cam Mesmer (bass, lead vocals), Graham McGee (guitars, vocals) and Lester Skelter (drums, vocals), all three have sacrificed their souls to rock ‘n roll in a quest to subvert the values of a dogmatic society. In their live performances, Spell struggles to create value in a meaningless existence. They've headlined sold-out shows across Western Canada as well as performing alongside underground champions CAULDRON, SKULL FIST, and GEORGE LYNCH (DOKKEN). They also ravaged the stage at last year's Noctis Festival alongside genre luminaries GIRLSCHOOL, PAGAN ALTAR, and CANDLEMASS.
Recorded, mixed and mastered under a series of full moons (hence the title), The Full Moon Sessions is an epic journey through melodic riffs and the doctrine-flouting mysticism of heavy metal in all its classic glory
In late April, Spell will hit the road for a west coast mini-tour in support of The Full Moon Sessions.

KENZINER - Comeback Album Details Revealed; Song Snippets StreamingGermany's Power Prog label has announced the signing of Finnish neoclassical/progressive power metal legends KENZINER. The band's comeback album, The Last Horizon, will be released worldwide on CD and as a digital download on May 23rd.
After more than a decade break and many years of a complete withdrawal from the music business, Jarno Keskinen decided to revive Kenziner in 2012 and begun gathering a band around himself. He started by hiring Markku Kuikka (STATUS MINOR, THE RAGGED SAINTS, etc.) as the singer, and through Markku, found also the rest of the members: the new lineup features Jukka Karinen (THUNDERSTONE, Status Minor, etc.) on the keyboards, Make Lievonen (EMBASSY OF SILENCE) on the drums and Jupi Hjelt on the bass.
While the new lineup was being built, Jarno and Markku arranged Jarno’s new compositions for the upcoming album. As the songs took shape, it became clear that a new album will play a major part in Kenziner’s comeback. Neo-classical guitar work and strong melodies have always laid the foundation for Kenziner’s music. The new lineup gave Jarno much better musical freedom because the music could be arranged in Finland, with the group working on the songs together.
During the winter 2012/2013, Kenziner recorded their upcoming album. Having finished the recordings in September 2013, the band took the album to Sonic Pump Studios (Helsinki), and mixed their new masterpiece with Nino Laurenne (Thunderstone).
In early January 2014 Kenziner signed a deal with German based media company/label Power Prog and has found a new home... the beginning of a new era for the band. They aims to transform from the studio band that it has been up to now into a real live and touring act, creating music that is challenging and interesting for their fans.
The Last Horizon tracklisting:
'Run For Your Life'
'Our Times'
'Heroes Ride'
'Devour The World'
'End Of An Era'
'Keep The Flame Alive'
'I Am Eternal'
'No Turning Back'
'The Last Horizon'
'Perfect Moment' (CD Bonus Track)

The record will be mixed by Eyal Levi of Audiohammer Studios.
As the winners of the 2013 International Battle for Wacken Open Air Festival in Germany, Crimson Shadows is fresh off a triumphant year and started 2014 strong with a recent first run in the United States with thrash band BATTLECROSS. Known for a Canadian twist on epic power European metal, the band is also set to make an announcement that they are signing to an international record label who will release the new record this summer.
"Our new songs show a progression of the band as we have been through a lot over the past few years. TESLA: New Album Title RevealedCalifornia rockers TESLA last month entered the studio to record eight or nine new songs, to be included on the band's forthcoming album.
Says TESLA guitarist Frank Hannon: "I must say that this new TESLA album is really gonna be awesome.
"We went in more prepared with the songs and ideas way more than 'Forevermore', and the style is pure TESLA back to our roots.
"The band is working and producing it as we did 'Into The Now'... with help from the legendary Tom Zutaut, who helped us make our best albums.
"The title of the new album is gonna be 'Simplicity' and I truly believe you guys are gonna love it!"
He added: "The opening track is called 'MP3' and starts off with an opus intro that orchestrates into a heavy slow groove with lyrics about technology and how we miss simplicity, vinyl albums, family values... and has a heavy-ass riff! Then we segue into a rock and roll song called 'Ricochet' that talks about Uncle Ted...
"Can't wait to play this stuff live!"
A new TESLA song, "Taste My Pain", was released last summer via iTunes and Amazon. The track was recorded during a two-day (June 5-6, 2013) session at J Street Recorders in Sacramento, with plans to include it on the upcoming CD. According to the group, "It's a heavier song with a hard-driving beat and TESLA trademark blazing guitars."
TESLA's latest album, "Twisted Wires And The Acoustic Sessions", was released in July 2011 via Scarlet Records. The CD featured six songs that were recorded back in 2005 at bassist Brian Wheat's J Street Recorders studio — which also served as the last recordings with original member Tommy Skeoch — and six newly recorded tracks, including acoustic remakes of songs from TESLA's entire catalog and two brand new songs, "Second Street" and "Better Off Without You".
TESLA released a live album, "Alive In Europe!", in Europe on April 23, 2010 via Frontiers Records.
TESLA's latest studio album, "Forever More", sold more than 16,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 33 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD was released on October 7, 2008 on Tesla Electric Company Recordings. The European version of the album, which was made available on November 7, 2008 via Frontiers Records, contains two bonus tracks not found on the American version.

ROB ZOMBIE: Photo Book By ROB FENN To Be Released With 'The Zombie Horror Picture Show' DVD, Blu-RayRob Zombie will release a new concert DVD and Blu-ray, titled "The Zombie Horror Picture Show", in May. To go along with the DVD and Blu-ray, there will be a "killer book" by photographer Rob Fenn, according to Zombie.
"The Zombie Horror Picture Show" will feature footage filmed during stops on last year's Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Mayhem Festival tour in Houston on August 3, 2013 and Dallas on August 4.
DVD and Blu-ray track listing is as follows:
01. Teenage Nosferatu Pussy02. Superbeast03. Super-Charger Heaven (originally by WHITE ZOMBIE)04. Living Dead Girl 05. We're An American Band (GRAND FUNK RAILROAD cover)06. More Human Than Human (originally by WHITE ZOMBIE)07. Sick Bubblegum 08. Never Gonna Stop 09. Ging Gang Gong De Do Gong De Laga Raga10. Meet The Creeper 11. Mars Needs Women 12. House Of 1000 Corpses 13. The Lords Of Salem 14. Dead City Radio And The New Gods Of Supertown 15. Thunder Kiss '65 (originally by WHITE ZOMBIE)16. Dragula
Zombie has never released a concert DVD before and told an Albany radio station that he always thought of doing one as a "huge nuisance," adding, "After the show is done, I don't care. I don't want to relive it… I never wanna hear about it again, I never wanna see it again. Like, I never watch anything — a TV show I've been on; I don't care. Once it's done, it's done. But I figured at least once we should film it."
Zombie did roll cameras during his 2008 "Educated Horses" tour, but had very different plans for that still-unseen footage. "I didn't want to really just make a live DVD 'cause I thought, like, who cares," he told The Pulse Of Radio. What I really did was I made, like, a tour documentary, where like it starts with the first rehearsal through building the stage through, you know, traveling and flying and playing every show and after show and this and that. And, you know, it's so many hundreds of hours of footage."
Zombie's fifth solo album, "Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor", came out last April and entered the Billboard album chart at No. 7 with first-week sales of 34,000 copies.
Zombie will kick off a 12-date run of shows on April 26 in Fort Myers, Florida at the Fort Rock festival, mixing other major rock festival stops with headlining shows before wrapping it up on May 10 in Camden, New Jersey.

Video: Ex-SEPULTURA Drummer IGOR CAVALERA Performs With SOULFLY In LondonFormer SEPULTURA drummer Igor Cavalera joined SOULFLY, the band led by his brother, and fellow CAVALERA CONSPIRACY and ex-SEPULTURA member, Max Cavalera, on stage on March 1 at O2 Academy Islington in London, England to perform the CAVALERA CONSPIRACY song "Sanctuary" and the SEPULTURA classic "Troops Of Doom". Fan-filmed video footage of Igor's appearance can be seen below.
In 1996, Max exited SEPULTURA after the rest of the band fired Max's wife Gloria as their manager.
Igor left SEPULTURA in June 2006 due to "artistic differences." His departure from the band came five months after he announced that he was taking a break from SEPULTURA's touring activities to spend time with his second wife and their new son (who was born in January 2006).
After Max exited SEPULTURA, there was a rift between him and Igor, one that was eventually repaired through the redemptive power of music. Some time had passed and Max and Igor were unable to resist the musical pull in their magnetic fields and their musical collaboration was renewed. The duo are back for round two with CAVALERA CONSPIRACY, which released its debut album, "Inflikted", in March 2008 and follow-up effort, Blunt Force Trauma", in March 2011.
CAVALERA CONSPIRACY's third album will be released this fall via Napalm Records. The CD was produced by John Gray, who has previously worked with SOULFLY.
CAVALERA CONSPIRACY recently recruited Nate Newton of CONVERGE as its new bassist.
Max and Igor played together for the first time in 10 years at the 10th annual D-Low Memorial Festival on August 17, 2006 at the Marquee Theatre in Tempe, Arizona. 7

DEW-SCENTED Begin Writing New Material; More Live Dates ConfirmedAfter spending most of 2013 on the road with acts including TESTAMENT and DEATH ANGEL in addition to appearing at several high-profile festivals (Wacken, Full Metal Cruise) to celebrate their 20-year anniversary release Insurgent, German thrash stalwarts DEW-SCENTED have started writing material for a new full-length, tentatively due in early 2015.
Vocalist Leif Jensen released the following statement: "2014 is scheduled to be a 'quieter' year since we are focusing on writing the follow-up album to 2012’s Icarus. We have gathered about eight really strong songs so far and are currently working on a couple more. The material is as relentless as you would expect from Dew-Scented, but also shows different and new elements in the mix, since everyone (Marvin, Rory, Joost and Koen) is bringing in ideas and writing contributions this time. As things look right now, we should be ready to start recording around summer and are aiming at an early 2015 release date for the album."
In addition to focusing on their new release, Dew-Scented have also announced that they will return to Japan for the first time in nearly a decade to support headliners THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER alongside FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE.
They commented: "This is the third time for us to visit Japan and the first since 2005’s Extreme The Dojo dates with HIGH ON FIRE and MISERY SIGNALS. We truly look forward to meeting our faithful thrash brothers and sisters over there soon. It’s been too long!"
Soon after, the band will return to Europe to join up with SACRED REICH for a handful of dates before taking part in the prestigious With Full Force Festival, which this year is top-lined by VOLBEAT, ROB ZOMBIE, MOTÖRHEAD and AMON AMARTH.

WARCKON To Release High Treason Album In MarchBelgium-based thrash metal act WARCKON will release their sophomore album, High Treason, on March 1st via Emanes Metal Records.
Tracklisting:
'Mare Tranquilitatis'
'The Weak'
'(My Very Own) Moriarty'
'High Treason'
'Choir Of Shadows'
'Dawn Of The Era Gargoylaes'
'Sleeper'
'The Samurai'
'Mutant Messiah'
'Grief Is In The Eye Of The Beholder' (Bonus Track)
Warckon originates from the region of Grammont in the province of East-Flanders, Belgium. The band, as they perform on stage to this day, started their mission during the summer of 2009. Warckon’s fanbase grew quick and steady, so they decided to record some material during the summer of 2010. What was supposed to become a simple demo, went on to become an EP and eventually turned out as a full length album. The Madman’s Lullaby was officially self-released for the first time on the first of April 2011.
Since then the band worked very hard to reinforce their reputation and live attitude. As the number of shows grew, so did the number of clubs and festivals Warckon played at, even across the borders. In February of 2012, Warckon was the only Flemish metal band that was selected for the last 100 contenders of Humo’s Rock Rally, Belgium’s biggest mainstream rock rally.
The growing reputation and the increasing fanbase kept reinforcing itself, landing the band a record deal with the French label Emanes Metal Records. Under the wings of this label, they scheduled the re-release of The Madman’s Lullaby for December 2012 with completely renewed artwork.
After a busy season of playing shows, the band intended to withdraw back to the studio and not play any shows during the second half of 2012, so they could record the follow up for their first record. What they didn’t foresee was the great amount of gig requests. The idea of not doing any shows was cancelled and they found massive joy combining the process of recording with the mayhem of touring. This led them to play festivals alongside metal icons like ARTILLERY, HYADES and ENFORCER.
March 1st, dates the official release of the second full-length album, High Treason: a more fierceful, technical, brutal and varied album on which the band further unleash their viciousness and mindblowing riffage on the underground thrash scene of today.
Warckon plays thrash metal which definitely derives its influences from the 80’s Bay Area scene. Fans of the technicality of top notch bands like MEGADETH, TESTAMENT and ANNIHILATOR or the attitude that defines bands like SLAYER and EXODUS, will surely get their kicks at a Warckon gig! The band keeps working hard to maintain the reputation they have built for themselves: skull-crushing shows that are played tight as hell while maintaining interaction with the audience.
