LYNCH MOB is currently rocking the West Coast, delivering classic favorites and tracks from the latest record while introducing a new vocalist for the George Lynch-led band.

The current iteration of LYNCH MOB is an unusual combination of rock backgrounds. Bassist Kevin Baldes is an original member of the Orange County alternative rock band LIT. LIT's platinum album "A Place In The Sun" spawned three Top Ten hits, including "My Own Worst Enemy". He’s also played with SUGARCULT, MEST and GOOD MAN DOWN. Jimmy D'Anda is on drums. With L.A.-based rock band BULLETBOYS and its hit "Smooth Up In Ya", he earned a gold album and toured the world with rock's biggest acts. Being introduced on this tour is new vocalist Thadeus "Tad" Gonzalez. With Oakland-based ELECTRIC SISTER, Tad enjoyed critical acclaim from not only the release of "The Lost Art Of Rock & Roll", but also supporting gigs with KISS/MÖTLEY CRÜE, SLASH, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY and DANKO JONES. For twelve years with DOKKEN, George Lynch was able to develop a groundbreaking brand of guitar virtuoso that would also earn a Grammy nomination. In the early 1990s, Lynch launched his own project, LYNCH MOB, which harnessed the talent of rock's best players and released several well-received records, from 1990's "Wicked Sensation" to the most recent "Unplugged". Tracks like "Wicked Sensation", "River Of Love" and "Tangled In The Web" have solidified George Lynch's position on Guitar World's list of Greatest Guitarists Of All Time. Live, LYNCH MOB is described as desert-infused blues-based rock with a penchant for extended improvising, harkening back to the glorious jam days of the late '60s and early '70s.

Lynch's current work also includes the film "Shadow Nation", which explores a hybrid way of life, merging modern society with the ancient practices of people who have lived in harmony with the land for thousands of years; native American Indians. The film reveals its message through the journey of a group of renowned musical artists as they share their rock music on a road trip through Indian reservations of the Southwest.

The track is taken from the band's new album, "Die Without Hope", the which will be released on March 7 (Europe) and March 4 (North America) via Nuclear Blast. The CD was recorded at Audiohammer Studios in Sanford, Florida and produced by Mark Lewis (ARSIS, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, WHITECHAPEL, DEVILDRIVER, DEICIDE, SIX FEET UNDER). Cover art for the album was created by renowned artist and longtime collaborator Godmachine.

Swedish metallers SABATON will release their new album, "Heroes", on May 16 via Nuclear Blast Records. The cover artwork for the CD was created by Péter Sallai. There will also be "alternate artwork for some editions," according to the band.

"We had the title in mind since before we even recorded 'Carolus Rex' and we already had ideas for artwork years ago," says SABATON bassist Pär Sundström. "We had a few different ones to choose from, but when we saw this one, we knew it was the right one for this album."

"Heroes" was recorded at The Abyss, the recording studio in Pärlby outside Ludvika, Sweden owned and operated by record producer and musician Peter Tägtgren (HYPOCRISY, PAIN).

"[Peter] still has some aces in his sleeves that we are sure will lift the new album," says Sundström.

SABATON played its first show with new drummer Hannes Van Dahl on November 16, 2013 at the Metal Hammer Paradise festival in Germany.

Regarding their decision to enlist Hannes Van Dahl, SABATON said in a statement: "For some time, there has been rumors about Robban [Bäck] coming back soon, or that Snowy [Shaw] would fill in for a while longer, or even take Robban's place permanently behind the drums.

"To put an end to these rumors we now present our new full-time member in SABATON: Hannes Van Dahl.

"Hannes has previously played in EVERGREY, which we have toured with in the past, and he has also worked side by side with us as drum technician for Snowy during his time in SABATON."

SABATON will return to the U.S. and Canada in April as direct support to American metallers ICED EARTH on their "Worldwide Plagues" North American tour. Opening each show on the six-week trek will be Dutch metallers REVAMP (featuring NIGHTWISH singer Floor Jansen).

SABATON's last album, "Carolus Rex", was released on May 22, 2012 via Nuclear Blast Records. The lyrics for the CD, which was made available in both English and Swedish, deal with the Swedish Empire (referring to the Kingdom of Sweden between 1561 and 1721).

SABATON in 2012 parted ways with guitarists Oskar Montelius and Rikard Sundén, drummer Daniel Mulback and keyboardist Daniel Mÿhr.

"Austin City Limits" ("ACL") has announced a special broadcast featuring NINE INCH NAILS making a rare television appearance in an epic, full-hour performance. The new episode premieres on Saturday, April 5 as a preview of "ACL"'s 40th Anniversary Season.

NIN's arena-worthy "ACL" debut showcases ten songs, and will encore during the PBS music series Season 40, launching in the fall of 2014.

"ACL" airs weekly on PBS stations nationwide (check local listings for times) and full episodes are made available online at immediately following the initial broadcast.

"ACL" just wrapped up its current season of new episodes and the Peabody Award-winning series continues to broadcast fan-favorite encore episodes weekly until the new season premieres this fall. NINE INCH NAILS joins the list of legendary artists that have performed on "ACL". In his remarks from the "ACL" stage, Reznor said: "We didn't want to make 'ACL' a NIN show. We wanted to be out of our element." Reznor added in a recent Reddit AMA: "I have a lot of respect for 'ACL' and I wanted us to be a guest on their show, not to convert their show into our concert. It was unusual to perform in that environment, and ended up being one of the best shows I think we played."

NIN delivers one of the best live shows on the planet, is considered a pioneer in the industrial music movement and has been highly influential in the evolution of electronic music. The band recently released its first album in five years, the critically acclaimed "Hesitation Marks", which Spin magazine called "the most important artistic statement from Reznor since the late 90s" and Rolling Stone hailed "one of his best" in a four-star lead review.

A trailer for "Tasting The Tears", the ninth studio album from Italian progressive metallers ELDRITCH, can be seen below. This time the whole band worked together as a team, arranging 11 brand new tracks melting each member's influences into one direction. DEF LEPPARD released a Deluxe Edition of its 1996 classic album "Slang" across multiple formats through its own Bludgeon Riffola label on February 10.

The "Slang" reissue is available in three formats: a CD Deluxe Edition and Digital Edition containing the original 11 album tracks remastered and original rare bonus tracks made up of demos, alternate versions and mixes with a series of new songs recorded during the time the band was creating "Slang". Most of these additional bonus tracks have never been released. A special iTunes Digital Edition has everything from the Digital Edition, plus a further set of additional bonus tracks. A Double Vinyl Deluxe Edition is also available and features the original album, and its own set of exclusive songs.

The band released a special "Slang Video Collection" the same day exclusively on iTunes that features videos from singles "Slang", "Work It Out" and "All I've Ever Wanted".

"Slang" was first released in May 1996 and is considered the band's most underrated album. At the time of its release, the music industry was at the height of the '90s grunge scene and DEF LEPPARD with bands like NIRVANA, STONE TEMPLE PILOTS and PEARL JAM were dominating the airwaves. Despite this musical shift, "Slang" charted on the Top Five U.K. official chart and the Top 15 in the U.S. on The Billboard 200 chart. The album was also voted in the Top Ten Albums Of 1996 by the U.K.'s prestigious Q magazine.

As a testament to DEF LEPPARD's music transcending through time, "Slang" was recognized for its musical departure from the band's signature sound. The collection incorporated new sonic elements that gave the album a slightly darker introspective mood than their previous releases.

Guitarist Phil Collen tells Billboard.com: "It was an essential album for DEF LEPPARD. It was a drastic move, left-field for us. It was experimental. It went against the grain from what we normally were doing at the time. We felt like with 'Adrenalize' it started turning a little bit similar, so it was important to do something different at that point."

"Slang" debuted at No. 5 on The Billboard 200 and went gold, but was DEF LEPPARD's slowest-selling album in more than a decade.

"Y'know, I think we could've put out 'Sgt. Pepper's' or 'Dark Side Of The Moon' and I think it would have been the same because it was DEF LEPPARD and we had gotten lumped in with all the crap metal bands of the '80s that were kind of pale versions of us," Collen explained to Billboard.com. "NIRVANA had come along and everything had changed. What was very interesting was people said they didn't like it so much because it didn't sound like us, but we set up in a villa in southern Spain and pretty much recorded live, so it was actually closer to the mark than the other albums where we didn't play live and did the usual studio thing of putting one thing on at a time and building it from there."

Video footage of '80s hard rock queen Lita Ford and guitarist/producer Gary Hoey performing at the Monster booth at this year's NAMM (National Association Of Music Merchants) show, which took place January 23-26 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California, can be seen below.

Hoey produced and co-wrote much of the material on Ford's latest studio album, "Living Like A Runaway", which was released in June 2012 in North America. The effort was made available in four configurations: a double LP, limited-edition CD, standard CD and digital download. The artwork for the album was created by famed rock photographer Mark Weiss.

Regarding how he came to work with Lita, Gary told Guitar World magazine: "Lita and I had met a few times over the years in different situations. We had known each other, but had never really worked together. The last time I saw her, she was telling me about what she was going through. She said she was in the middle of a divorce and she was working on some new material and wanted to do another album. I just said, 'Well, then it's a great time to make a record!' We got together and felt things out. She had already met with a bunch of writers and producers, but when we got together, it really clicked. We had so many of the same music influences and we would finish each other's sentences. It was just meant to be."

Asked what it's like to sit in a room, jam and write a song with Lita Ford, Gary said: "It was awesome! Lita is such a laid-back person and super-cool to work with. She's up for trying anything. We would just build a song from anything, from just a song title or even just a riff. I remember the first thing she came to me with was just a title, 'Love 2 Hate U'. It was whoever was holding the guitar. If she played a riff that was cool, we'd work off that. If she wanted to take a break, then I would play. We would just trade off until we found what was right.

"The nice thing about making this record in the studio at my house was not having the pressures of the record company and deadlines. We took our time and finished it when it was done. That's why the record sounds so good. I really mean that."

KAYSER, the Swedish band featuring former SPIRITUAL BEGGARS frontman Spice and ex-THE MUSHROOM RIVER BAND drummer Bob Ruben, will release its new album, "Read Your Enemy"Listenable Records.

KAYSER saw the first ray of light in early June 2004 when Spice, Mattias Svensson (also of THE DEFACED), Bob Ruben and Fredrik Finnander decided to join forces to create a pure metal band. The band's sound is fully immersed in true original heavy/thrash metal genre with emphasis on the muscular songwriting: hammering blistering and catchy riffs one after another, delivering the goods through scorching witty arrangements with fluid virtuosity. Glenn Danzig was in the studio last week with DANZIG guitarist/bandmate Tommy Victor (also of PRONG) recording three new tracks for the next DANZIG album. So far, there are five new songs that are in various stages of completion.

The first new DANZIG studio album in six years, "Deth Red Sabaoth", sold 11,700 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 35 on The Billboard 200 chart.

"Deth Red Sabaoth" was released on June 22, 2010 via Evilive/The End Records. Produced by Glenn, the CD was recorded in Los Angeles over the course of 2009.

DANZIG's cover version of the the classic Lee Hazelwood/Nancy Sinatra song "Some Velvet Morning", featuring a guest appearance by Cherie Currie (THE RUNAWAYS), was made available for streaming last year. The track will appear on Danzig's upcoming covers album, which will also include Glenn's renditions of classic songs from BLACK SABBATH, ELVIS PRESLEY and ZZ TOP, among others.

As part of this year's Record Store Day on April 19, San Francisco Bay Area metallers MACHINE HEAD will release a 10-inch vinyl single, with the A-side containing the "demo" version of a new song, "Killers & Kings". The B-side will be a cover version of the track "Our Darkest Days" from one of MACHINE HEAD's favorite bands, IGNITE.

Says MACHINE HEAD guitarist/vocalist Robb Flynn: "I remember growing up in the thrash scene and always wanting to hear the demo version of songs. You searched them out. Thankfully, my buddy Jim was a big 'tape trader,' and through trading, we had both METALLICA demos, EXODUS demos, bootlegs of songs sometimes 'years' before they came out.

"I knew how to play every note of 'Pleasure Of The Flesh' by EXODUS easily two years before the record was out. I had SLAYER's 'Reign In Blood' three months before it came out. I remember it still had the hi-hat counts starting the songs!!

"My friends and I would debate the merits of each (the demo was always better, LOL!).

"It's so much cooler to hear it BEFORE the album is out!

"So we're gonna do that for you.

"I can't wait for you guys to hear this stuff. Then you can debate it, haha!"

MACHINE HEAD has just entered GREEN DAY's Oakland, California's JingleTown Recording to begin recording its new album for a late summer release via the band's new label, Nuclear Blast Entertainment. Other tentative songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Beneath The Silt", "Ojos De La Muerte", "Sail Into The Black" and "Night Of The Long Knives".

Speaking to U.K.'s Metal Hammer magazine, Flynn stated about the band's new material: "It sounds like MACHINE HEAD! It's definitely moving forward, which I feel like we're probably always gonna do.

"We're not a band that ever looks back. We do our thing and try to take the life experiences that we have and the musicianship that we've evolved and try to use it. Obviously, we have our sound and we have the MACHINE HEAD patented harmonics, the downtuned riffs and I sing the way I sing.

"I think Bob Dylan said it best: 'You just find new ways to say the same thing.'"

Speaking about some of the specific tracks and the lyrical themes covered on the new album, Flynn said: "I've got some pretty cool lyrics ready. There's a song called 'Night Of The Long Knives', and it's pretty fucked! It's about the Manson murders, and the lyrics are really dark and vicious.

"We've found some new twists to give to the MACHINE HEAD sound and some new fire and excitement."

Asked what the band's main aims were when they started composing music for the new CD, Flynn said: "Well, it's nice to try and have a plan, but music has a way of unravelling over time! [Laughs] You've just got to roll with it.

"With [2007's] 'The Blackening', I'd love to say I had this grand vision of nine- and 10-minute songs, but the first four songs we wrote were the four shorter songs on the record. For months, there was no indication whatsoever that we'd have 10-minute songs. That stuff came later.

"Human nature wants to control and dictate where things will go, but you can't. It won't let you! The more you try, the more it goes, 'Fuck you.' It's going some other way!" Regarding whether the songwriting process comes more easily after more than two decades as a band, Flynn said: "I just try and do my thing. With this record in particular, I've tried to discipline myself more with routine, writing a little bit every day, but for months I was in a riff rut. Every riff I wrote fuckin' sucked! Then we took a two-week break and I was writing my Facebook journals about the 'Through The Ashes Of Empires' [MACHINE HEAD's 2003 album] story, and that cleared my head. At the end of those two weeks, the floodgates opened and all hell of riffs poured out. I was so stoked! This torrent of riffs, this molten hot lava, was at my fingertips. It's such a good feeling." Flynn also revealed that MACHINE HEAD has "definitely got some ideas" for the artwork and imagery for the band's new album, but added: "It's weird, though, because who the fuck even buys albums anymore?

"An album cover is a necessary thing but for so many people it's justa little one-and-a-half-inch square on an iPhone.

"We're going to have a lot of worldwide special editions, so for the people who are still into that stuff, we'll have some next-level shit. Especially with our new label, Nuclear Blast, they can do all of that stuff. They're not afraid to do all these crazy, over-the-top special-edition things and big two-foot metal cases and all that.

"I'm a super-nerd collector and that shit rules to me!"

MACHINE HEAD's most recent studio release, 2011's "Unto The Locust", entered The Billboard 200 chart at position No. 22 — putting them in the Top 25 for the first time in the band's history.

Founded in 2007 and officially kicked off in 2008 by METALLICA, Record Store Day normally takes place on the third Saturday of every April and brings together artists and independently owned record stores around the world to celebrate the art of music. Special vinyl and CD releases and various promotional products are made exclusively for the day and sold in independent stores.

The official trailer for "Super Duper Alice Cooper", the upcoming documentary about the shock rocker's evolution from preacher's son to superstardom, can be seen below. The 97-minute retrospective on Alice Cooper is the latest release from Canadian documentarians Sam Dunn and Scot McFadyen of production company Banger Films ("Metal: A Headbangers Journey", "Rush: Beyond The Lighted Stage") and writer/director Reginald Harkema.

"Super Duper Alice Cooper" is the twisted tale of a teenage Dr. Jekyll whose rock and roll Mr. Hyde almost kills him. It is the story of Vincent Furnier, preacher's son, who struck fear into the hearts of parents as Alice Cooper, the ultimate rock star of the bizarre. From the advent of Alice as frontman for a group of Phoenix freaks in the '60s to the hazy decadence of celebrity in the '70s to his triumphant comeback as '80s glam metal godfather, we will watch as Alice and Vincent battle for each other's souls. The film is the first-ever "doc opera" — a dizzying blend of documentary archive footage, animation and rock opera that will cement forever the legend of Alice Cooper.

In a 2012 interview with Spinner.com, Dunn stated about the Cooper documentary: "We know Alice through various projects that we've done. We interviewed Alice for 'Headbanger's Journey'. He's also featured pretty prominently in two episodes of [the new groundbreaking documentary series] 'Metal Evolution', both in [the] Shock Rock and Early Metal U.S. [episodes]. He's a pretty fascinating character, who has been through a lot in his life. He's one of those musicians that maybe he hasn't had a hit in a long time, but everyone knows who Alice Cooper is because of his influence on pop culture and the big songs he had in the '70s.

"We're exploring a different stylist approach with this film. It won't be talking heads; it's going to be more of an archival and animated journey through his career.

"He's such a rich visual artist, it makes so much sense to try and do it in a different way.

"I think we're just a little bit sick of doing talking head interviews, to be honest [laughs], after doing 300 of them for 'Metal Evolution'. So it's really the story of Alice's career from the '60s right up to the '80s and everything he went through — the ups and the downs, battles with alcoholism, being raised in a Christian family, rebelling against that but then coming back to faith later in his career, and moving from town to town, and trying to find his place."

Alice Cooper's latest album, "Welcome 2 My Nightmare", sold 18,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 22 on The Billboard 200 chart. Cooper's previous CD, 2008's "Along Came A Spider", opened with just under 10,000 copies to land at No. 53.

Recorded with longtime collaborator Bob Ezrin, who produced the original multi-platinum "Welcome To My Nightmare" album in 1975, "Welcome 2 My Nightmare" picks up right where they left off, with Alice trapped in his own warped mind.

CHEVELLE will release its seventh studio album, titled "La Gargola", on April 1. The disc was recorded in Pasadena, California instead of the band's usual spot in their hometown of Chicago, and follows up 2011's "Hats Off To The Bull". The first single, "Take Out The Gunman", addresses the issues of guns and mass shootings, but drummer Sam Loeffler says it's also about more than that. "It is hitting a little close to home," he tells The Pulse Of Radio. "However, certainly it's about that but the real point is about how the media sensationalizes it and how it perpetuates it, because we talk about it so much and concentrate on it so much, which is — when you put something on television, it just becomes bigger than life and then, you know, the age-old question is, if you don't put it on TV and nobody knows about it, will it happen less? I don't know."

The trio will head out on the road for a headlining tour with MIDDLE CLASS RUT and OH BROTHER, beginning on April 4.

The group is also scheduled to make appearances at the Rock On The Range and Welcome To Rockville festivals in April and May.

Danish progressive metallers ANUBIS GATE will release their sixth album, "Horizons", on April 15 via Nightmare Records.

ANUBIS GATE hit the studio in the summer of 2013 to record "Horizons", which sees the band's unmistakable sound going again to new places... places perhaps one would call daring. ANUBIS GATE blends '80s melodic heavy rock, epic ambience and a contemporary dark layered progressive metal. New guitarist Michael Bodin's heavy riffing works exceptionally well in a duel with longtime axeman Kim Olesen. The forward-driving drums, courtesy of new drummer Morten Gade Sørensen, are a treat in themselves. Henrik Fevre's melodic vocals are even more amazing and heartfelt than ever before.

Ron Marks, veteran singer and songwriter, and frontman for the rock group SUBSONIC, has announced the global release of his new album "Honeycomb" early this spring on DSN Music.

Marks, who is well known in the industry as a hard-rockin' guitarist, created the new project as an all-acoustic album, displaying a diverse range of his talent. Tracks include a cover of the popular 1960s hit "Pleasant Valley Sunday" from THE MONKEES, to a stripped down version of the SUBSONIC single "I Could Be Anybody".

"'Honeycomb' has been my most personal and challenging artistic effort to date," said Marks. "This was quite different from writing and recording a hard rock album. No big drums or Marshall stacks to wrap around me. On an acoustic release like this one, you're naked in a room for all to hear. And these tracks are most personal."

SUBSONIC released "Trifecta" on DSN in 2012, which featured 30 tracks from three previously released albums which were digitally remastered. The songs ranged from hard rock metal leads to pop, progressive, alternative and even some swamp blues.

Before SUBSONIC, Marks played guitar for the popular European heavy metal group CELTIC FROST, touring from 1986 to 1988, and performing on their 1990 release "Vanity/Nemesis", replacing Oliver Amberg.

Fans may notice a more personal touch to the new release with several tracks, as Marks explains: "'Missing You' is dedicated to my father who passed away in 1993. 'Jane' is about a former girlfriend who later became suicidal and called to tell me so. 'Venus Hates The Moon' pokes fun at two roommates that used to mix it up like they were married, but were not. 'If I Could Only Find Love' is yet another satirical 'stab' at the American Dream.

"I'm grateful to DSN for the opportunity to reflect a musical side of me that some may not be aware of."

Danko Jones recently released their controversial new video, for the track 'Legs', featured on the Rock And Roll Is Black And Blue album, available via Bad Taste Records.

The video, directed by Bruce LaBruce, can be seen below. LaBruce, who is best known for his sexually charged and culturally challenging productions have been looking forward to working with the band for a long time, says LaBruce:

“I've known Danko and John for many years, and I went to many Danko Jones shows when they were first starting out in Toronto and in New York.After reconnecting with Danko last year at his book launch, we decided it was finally time for me to do a video for them.”

The video itself is in line with the direct vision LaBruce had to create a spectacular and unexpected video for the song. “Danko suggested their song Legs, and for some reason I immediately thought of some of my sexy and leggy acquaintances in the M-F transsexual community. I really love the work of the famous photographer Pierre Molinier, whose gender bending photographs have influenced a variety of artists, so I decided to pay tribute to his work in the video.”

Armoury Classics will be bringing together three original Armoury Records CDs into a single set for the first time. This particular set contains three original Atlantic studio albums by TWISTED SISTER: You Can’t Stop Rock ‘N’ Roll from 1983, Come Out And Play from 1985 and Love Is For Suckers from 1987. Not only will audiences be presented with music from their Prosthetic debut Empyrean, but they will also be privy to hearing new material from the band's as-yet-untitled follow-up, scheduled to be recorded next month.

Drummer Justin Ennis announced, "After a full year of working on material for our follow-up to Empyrean, we are prepared to etch it in stone. Once again our friend Kevin Bernstein (TRIAC) will be at the helm. This will be our fourth release documented with him at Developing Nations in Baltimore. After two years with us, these will also be the first recordings to feature Ryan Jones (ex-TODAY IS THE DAY) on bass and vocals. He is a beast amongst men."

The new Mutilation Rites album is scheduled to be released this summer via Prosthetic Records. The band has also released a self-produced video showcasing the band performing two tracks live from the Union Pool in Brooklyn:

RIVERS OF NIHIL's Brody Uttley and Adam Biggs have released a brand new ‘Airless’ performance demo video featuring guitar and bass parts recorded with Toontrack. All guitar and bass sounds were recorded DI and run through either the Metal Amps EZmix pack or the Andy Sneap EZmix pack for EZmix 2. All drums are EZ Drummer plus the Metal! EZX pack. ‘Airless’ was shot and edited by Paul Chrismer.
Guitarist Brody Uttley explains in depth:

"Toontrack makes it easy for me to take a song that I spent two weeks writing and have it recorded and sounding professional within a few hours. The Metal Amps and Andy Sneap mix pack for EZ Mix 2 make finding guitar and bass tones easier than it has ever been; simply record a DI track and throw the plugin on and WHAMMY, instant great sound. The Metal! EZX pack has some of the most mix friendly drum sounds available on the market. Normally I like to do quite a bit of eq'ing and other tweaking on digital drums by routing each piece of the kit out to an individual bus to make it sound more organic. With the new Metal! EZX I only moved a few things and it was sounding perfect!

"Toontrack is doing something truly unique. They are allowing young aspiring musicians (and producers) to get great sounds without having to spend thousands of dollars on outboard gear, amplifiers, drum kits, and microphones. Even though everything from Toontrack can be done ‘in the box’, one can still make an incredibly organic and believable sounding recording for very little money.

"In the case of ‘Airless’ I recorded four DI guitar tracks. I panned two of them hard left and hard right and the other two about 75% L and R. Then I selected two different amp samples and applied them to each of the tracks; blending them together so that they sounded even better. All of the leads were just a single track with various delay, reverb, chorus, and other presets applied. The bass was just a single bass DI in the center with the Andy Sneap ‘90's rock bass’ patch applied. I chose to use the default Big Crack Kit for this track just because it seemed the most appropriate and sounded the best! Plus Mark Lewis is one of my favorite producers, so I had to fan boy a little."

III: Beneath Trident’s Tomb is the title for the final album from experimental black metal band TWILIGHT, featuring six new tracks and set to be released in North America on March 18th and Europe on March 17th via Century Media. The track 'Swarming Funeral Mass' is now streaming below.

Released as a digipack, LP (1,000 pressed worldwide, 700 on purple vinyl, 300 on black) and digital download, III is much more an experimental album than its predecessors. It’s a dark, uncomfortable listen.

Iron Bonehead Productions has set March 31st as the international release date for CEMETERY FOG's Shadows From The Cemetery tape.
Forming in 2012 and studiously recording three demos the following year, 2014 sees the release of the band's third demo tape, Shadows From the Cemetery. Respectful of the ancient ways, this Finnish trio conjure dark, diseased, doomed-out metal of death. Across five filthy slogs of rumbling, crumbling doom-death, Cemetery Fog create an atmosphere of unease and tension, beckoning the listener to submit to its swampy, abyssal excess. Returning from that journey is another story...

Danish old-school thrash act IMPALERS will be recording their next album, the follow-up to Power Behind The Throne, at Death Island Studios with producer Marco Angioni. The recording process will take place in March.
Singer and rhythm guitarist Søren Crawack had this to say about the choice of studio and producer: ”We really wanted a studio where it would be possible to live during the entire process, so we could just emerse ourselves completely in the music. Marco’s studio is absolutely perfect, since it, not only allows us to do just that, but also gives us the opportunity to work with someone who really knows his stuff. The combination of deep, deep focus and an excellent producer will hopefully give the album that little extra something.”

Here’s a few of words from producer Marco Angioni: ”I’m looking forward to working with the band as the songs, already in the pre-production process, sound in-you-face and mean, but also different to each other; a fact that will give the album that twist that will make it stand out.”

ORANGE GOBLIN report that, "things are going very well in the rehearsal studio and the new album is starting to take shape. We have four songs that are pretty much done, just need fine tuning with lyrics etc. And we have the skeletons of another five or six that we are still working on and fleshing out. It's heavy, it's groovy, it's trippy and it's very interesting so far!"

Iron Bonehead Productions in co-operation with Invictus Productions has set April 12th as the international release date for POSSESSION's Anneliese.
Following on from last year's critically acclaimed His Best Deceit demo, the Belgian black/death cult return with a highly anticipated 7" EP, cryptically titled Anneliese. Fans and critics worldwide thrilled to the feral, bloodlusting violence across His Best Deceit, but here on the two-song Anneliese 7", Possession boldly prove that their diabolic force extends into more haunting realms.

No less hysteric, the reined-in thrust on these two tracks pounds 'n' plods into the most fucked-up dungeon mortal ears will hear. Less a statement of "heavy metal" and more a ritual of unspeakable horror, Anneliese shows that Possession are just beginning to stoke the hellfires of immortality.

After three successful albums and a whole lot of live shows with ENTRAILS, guitar player Mathias has decided to leave the band for personal reasons.

The band comments further: "It has been growing a while within the band so we decided to do what's better for the band and recruit a new member that can handle the axe of death in the future. Mathias is still our best friend and we wish him the best of luck in his other projects in life."
No rest for the wicked... Entrails didn't hesitate at all and recruited Pontus "Penki" Samuelsson, a talented headbanging youngblood of 19 years that can be heard in other Swedish bands like VOID and GRAVESTONE, but has now decided to give this a serious try and become a part of Entrails.

Pontus has already been on stage with Entrails last year at Extremefest as a stand-in for Mathias so he knows what it's all about. "I've been a huge fan of Entrails for many years, so it's a great honor for me to be a part of the band. Having played live with the guys once before, I knew this was something I wanted to continue doing. When they asked me to join, I was more than ready to be a part of the beast that is Entrails! I can't wait to see you all on the road. Skål!"

Entrails recently finished recording two songs to be released on a limited 7" vinyl single on February 28th. Side A will feature the title track 'Berzerk', side B a cover of HEAVY LOAD's classic 'Dreaming'.

The single will be available in black (300 copies), green (100 copies) and white (100 copies, excl. only available here).
Comments Entrails: "With a small sidestep from our work in the massive rehearsals for the new album we decided to do a halfway release. The new song 'Berzerk' is a straight forward fist of fury and death metal terror, with some eeire elements. It's a natural step from our latest album Raging Death. One of the most talked about up and coming prog groups of 2014, AN ENDLESS SPORADIC, is releasing a new single, 'Spaceship Factory', in support of their upcoming appearance on the Progressive Nation At Sea 2014 cruise hosted by TRANSATLANTIC's Mike Portnoy.

Says Zach, “I composed the main theme for 'Spaceship Factory' a couple of years ago with the intention of it being part of an orchestral piece that would eventually morph into a progressive rock piece. I've always loved film scores in movies about big space adventures. So, I wrote a piece while imagining landing on an alien planet and coming across a factory building spaceships. When I originally came up with the theme, I wasn't sure how I wanted to develop the rest of the piece. Now that An Endless Sporadic has reunited, it seemed like the perfect vehicle for this piece.”
The band's new single will be part of a forthcoming EP that will also include a studio recording of the song 'Derpulous' (the band released a demo version of the track a few months ago) as well as brand new material. It is also the 6 year anniversary of An Endless Sporadic's first EP Ameliorate, so plans to re-record a couple songs from that EP as bonus tracks are in the works. The group is planning on running a Pledge Music campaign to help fund the recordings.

Says Zach, “We have enough music demoed for a full length album and depending on how the EP does, we might want to repackage the EP as a full length later on. The idea is that because our music has a sporadic nature but also explores theme development, we want to try and find ways to expand on older material while introducing plenty of fresh material.”

An Endless Sporadic is excited about their upcoming performance on the Progressive Nation at Sea 2014 cruise, which runs from February 18th - 22nd. Others performing are legendary JON ANDERSON of YES, Transatlantic, PORTNOY SHEEHAN MACALPINE SHERINIAN, ADRIAN BELEW, DEVIN TOWNSEND, SPOCK'S BEARD, THE FLOWER KINGS, ANIMALS AS LEADERS, PERIPHERY and many others.

Says Zach, “Sixthman ran a competition called Sixthman Soundcheck, where they were selecting three up and coming progressive rock bands to add to the bill. We actually weren't selected, but we later received an e-mail that Mike Portnoy had a hard time choosing the three bands and decided to add a 5th stage to the cruise. We were selected to play on that stage.”
