MOTÖRHEAD To Fans: Don't Buy 'Outrageously Overpriced' Box SetMOTÖRHEAD, the hardest-working, hardest-touring band in the world, loves when fans buy their records, but not this time. A new box set, called "Complete Early Years Box Set", has just come out by the company who has the rights to the band's early recordings, and they are charging over $600 for it!
Earlier this year, the band was able to temporarily halt the product from coming out, but now MOTÖRHEAD has learned that the label is moving ahead with the project, which is scheduled for release in December. MOTÖRHEAD have no control over what's done with these early songs, and they want to make sure fans are completely aware that they have no involvement whatsoever in releasing such an expensive box set.
Before the initial release was blocked, MOTÖRHEAD's iconic frontman Lemmy said: "Unfortunately, greed once again rears its yapping head. I would advise against it even for the most rabid completists!"
He now adds: "It really bothers me that these people would put this out at these prices especially in this day and age, when money is tight. There you go again labels, trying to squeeze out every last dime you can from our fans.
"But they reap what they sow, don't they? Look what's going on with the music business. These are fine examples of corporate greed: reissuing the same stuff over and over again, overcharging the customers with outrageous pricing, basically trying to rape our fanbase.
"Although we still make money from record sales, this is not the way I ever intended it. I don't like to see fans getting ripped off or taken advantage of. And that's what's happening here."
If fans do want to gift a loved one with some new MOTÖRHEAD product this holiday, by all means, please pick up the band's most recent "The Wörld Is Ours - Vol 2 - Anyplace Crazy As Anywhere Else", the follow-up to 2011's "The Wörld Is Ours - Vol 1 - Everywhere Further Than Everyplace Else".
Like its sibling, "Anyplace Crazy…" is packed with more magnificent Motörmaterial from "The Wörld Is Yours" tour, including the triumphant 2011 Wacken headline appearance as well as highlights from the Sonisphere and Rio shows. More than anything, these are new recordings, new releases and compiled with care and attention from the band themselves.
If you want to support MOTÖRHEAD, then this is the way to do it. And if you do have a hankering for the old material, remember, it is still available piecemeal, and not simply via the outrageously overpriced box set.
For more information on "Complete Early Years Box Set", go to this location. 26

BLACK SABBATH: First New Zealand Show In Almost 40 Years Sells Out In 'Minutes'According to TVNZ, BLACK SABBATH's first New Zealand show in almost 40 years sold out within minutes Friday morning (November 30).
Despite attempting to purchase their tickets as soon as they went on sale, a number of fans have reported being unable to secure seats for the April 20 concert.
David Andrew wrote on ticket sales vendor Ticketmaster's Facebook page: "Useless — BLACK SABBATH sold out within 30 seconds, yet there are tickets on TradeMe being sold for twice the price. I do hope that you guys will sort your shit out and report/cancel these tickets like you say you will, but have failed to do so many times in the past."
Ticketmaster responded by saying, "We forward all TradeMe issues on to the promoter to look into" and "we dislike these people as much as you guys and we're doing all we can to stop it."
Tickets are already for sale on TradeMe for as much as NZD 325 each (approximately $267), despite their original value being between NZD 119.90 (approximately $99) and NZD 159.90 (approximately $131).

INCITE: 'Hopeless' Video Released"Hopeless", the new video from INCITE, the Phoenix, Arizona-based metal band fronted by Richie Cavalera — the stepson of SOULFLY/CAVALERA CONSPIRACY mainman Max Cavalera — can be seen below. The clip, recorded during INCITE's recent European tour, features live and rehearsal footage as well as footage taken on the streets of Berlin, Germany.
"Hopeless" comes off INCITE's sophomore album, "All Out War", which was released on November 20 via Minus Head Records. The CD was recorded at Darth Mader Music in Hollywood, California with producer Logan Mader (GOJIRA, SOULFLY). Revolver described the effort as "full of mean riffing and serious aggression" while Metal Hammer said the band "harnesses the kind of groove-driven power that LAMB OF GOD and, in more recent years, DEVILDRIVER have always nailed so perfectly."
INCITE will head out on its first North American tour in support of "All Out War", sharing the stage with headliners SOULFLY on a trek that kicks off February 15 at LVCS in Las Vegas, Nevada.
INCITE released its debut album, "The Slaughter", in October 2009 via I Scream Records.
INCITE's current lineup is as follows:
Richie Cavalera - Vocals
Zak Sofaly - Drums
Gene Macazan - Guitar
Luis Marrufo - Bass
Richie Cavalera has made a number of guest appearances in the studio and on stage with both SOULFLY and CAVALERA CONSPIRACY.

EMERSON earMUSIC, the Hamburg based international rock label part of Edel Group, is proud to announce “Three Fates”, the most important record from Keith Emerson since his Emerson, Lake & Palmer days. “Three Fates” is the unique meeting of a British progressive rock legend, a guitar hero from Los Angeles and a Norwegian classical music conductor in the studio with the prestigious Münchner Rundfunkorchester (Munich Radio Orchestra). It features the best of ELP (“Tarkus” and “Fanfare For The Common Man Pt. 1&2”), solo songs and brand new compositions – all in new orchestral ar rangements. “Three Fates” will be released on 19h November 2012.
“Three Fates” is the symphonic truth about the composer Keith Emerson, and a realization of the potential in his music. Finally, he is realizing the project of his dreams in a close collaboration with the Norwegian conductor Terje Mikkelsen and American guitarist Marc Bonilla. Great works can be heard with a four-piece band and a full symphony orchestra for the very first time. Guitar phenomenon Marc Bonilla leads the brilliant band and maestro Terje Mikkelsen really fires up the Münchner Rundfunkorchester in these luscious orchestrations. What an impressive collaboration!
“Tarkus – Concertante” is no doubt the main work on this release, a 20 minutes epic. “The Endless Enigma Suite” in symphonic colours is of course also included, plus a new moving piece called “After All Of This”. Marc Bonilla also contributes three attractive pieces on this recording, in addition to two works with the unmistakable Emerson twist from his biggest source of inspiration: Aaron Copland and Alberto Ginastera.
“Three Fates” is about much more than simply music. It’s about making Emerson’s music resound in a symphonic scale. Conductor Terje Mikkelsen has the rock-and-roll approach needed, as well as total control over the symphony orchestra in break-neck ensemble with the Keith Emerson Band. In many ways, “Three Fates” completes the circle: Emerson brought classics into rock – now it’s Emerson’s own music being performed by a classical orchestra.
Keith Emerson says: “Although I have been involved with orchestras and also jazz, blues and rock since the sixties, without doubt I consider this to be the most important album since the ELP days.”
Track list:
01. The Endless Enigma Suite Pt. 1
02. The Endless Enigma Suite Pt. 2
03. American Matador
04. After All Of This
05. Walking Distance
06. Tarkus – Concertante
07. Malambo
08. The Mourning Sun
09. Abaddon’s Bolero
10. Fanfare For The Common Man Pt. 1
11. Fanfare For The Common Man Pt. 2

WALKING PAPERS Featuring DUFF MCKAGAN: West Hollywood Concert To Be WebcastWALKING PAPERS, the new Seattle band featuring former SCREAMING TREES drummer Barrett Martin, longtime Seattle musician Jeff Angell and ex-GUNS N' ROSES and VELVET REVOLVER bass player Duff McKagan, will have its December 6 concert at The Viper Room in West Hollywood, California broadcast live at Livestream beginning at 10 p.m. PST.
McKagan plays bass on WALKING PAPERS' entire debut disc, while PEARL JAM guitarist Mike McCready contributes lead guitar solos. Mixed by Jack Endino, the record was released on October 16 via Boredom Killing Business/Sunyata Records and the first single, "Your Secret's Safe With Me", is streaming at the band's Facebook page.
Commented Martin: "Jeff Angell, our singer and guitarist, is a natural storyteller, and Ben Anderson plays keyboards like a classic soul man session player. With Duff and I as the rhythm section, let's just say we are the seasoned veterans. We play old-school, gritty, bluesy American rock and roll, and as a quartet, that's as real as it gets."
Martin and McCready previously played together in MAD SEASON, alongside late ALICE IN CHAINS singer Layne Staley. The band is currently being reactivated with new vocals being recorded over tracks originally laid down for an abandoned second MAD SEASON album.
McKagan was born and raised in Seattle and played in a punk band there called 10 MINUTE WARNING before migrating to Los Angeles and joining GUNS.

Owens was unable to join Malmsteen at the Getaway Rock in July due to scheduling conflicts with Tim's official Ronnie James Dio tribute band DIO DISCIPLES. Handling most of the lead vocals during Yngwie's set at the Getaway Rock Festival was bassist Ralph Ciavolino.
Swedish bassist Bjorn Englen, who was a member of Yngwie's touring band for five years, left the group earlier this year and is currently on the road with DIO DISCIPLES, which is fully supported by Dio's widow/manager, Wendy.
Yngwie's last album, "Relentless", came out on November 22, 2010 via Malmsteen's own Rising Force Records.
Yngwie is working on his autobiography. Described as "the only real and true story written by Malmsteen himself," "Relentless", will be released in early 2013. Yngwie has also launched an instructional web site, RelentlessShred.com. 7

Ex-MEGADETH Guitarist CHRIS POLAND Guests On LION_DROME SingleGuitarist extrordinaire Chris Poland (MEGADETH, DAMN THE MACHINE, OHM:) contributes a nearly 90-second outro solo to the extended version of alt-rockers LION_DROME's first single, "Curve Of The Earth". The track proceeds an expected full release by LION_DROME in 2013.
LION_DROME is a new project from lead guitarist Mike Lopez, a former member of GASHEAD, one of Colorado's premier thrash and instrumental bands which existed between 2003 and 2012. In 2010, GASHEAD released a single called "Skeletal", which also featured Poland's considerable talents.
LION_DROME sees Lopez continuing his lead duties but also stepping in on lead vocals for the first time. The project's musical direction is closer to the modern/alt rock of U2, JEFF BUCKLEY, PORCUPINE TREE, RADIOHEAD and THE CARS. Hard rock and metal sensibilities remain in the guitar solos, with nods to Joe Satriani, George Lynch, Jeff Beck and James Mankey (CONCRETE BLONDE).

RUSH Leads Fan Voting For 2013 Rock And Roll Hall Of FameWith about one week left to let fans' voices be heard for the first time on who deserves to get into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame next year, RUSH has pulled in nearly a quarter of the votes at 24.3%, followed by DEEP PURPLE at 17.1%. HEART is third with 12.4% of the votes cast.
Although the public vote could influence the outcome of who is inducted and who isn't, it will most likely be used only as a tie-breaker. The top five acts will comprise a "fan's ballot" that will count as one of the more than 600 ballots that determine the Class Of 2013. The results will be announced in mid-December.
RUSH has been eligible for the honor since 1999, 25 years after the release of the band's self-titled debut album.
"I'm really happy for the RUSH fans who feel that it is really important, and I hope we're inducted for their sake," RUSH guitarist Alex Lifeson told NorthJersey.com. "Personally it never really mattered to me, but at the same time it's nice to be nominated."
According to Lifeson, the Rock Hall induction would pale in comparison to the band's having received one of the prestigious Governor General's Performing Arts Awards for Lifetime Artistic Achievement in March, the highest honor bestowed on artists by the Canadian government.
"The acknowledgement we got from the Canadian government, and by extension Canadians, is very dear to us," Lifeson said. "The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame is more a popularity contest."
The April 18, 2013 event is set for Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, marking the first time the ceremony will be held in the city since 1993. HBO will tape the show for broadcast at a later date. 3

TESTAMENT Guitarist: 'When You're A Thrash Band, It's Not A Good Idea To Add Rap'Matthew Parker of MusicRadar.com recently conducted an interview with guitarist Eric Peterson of San Francisco Bay Area metallers TESTAMENT. A couple of excerpts from the chat follow below.
MusicRadar.com: 2012 marks the 25th anniversary of TESTAMENT's debut album, "The Legacy". What were your initial expectations of the band?
Eric: "[Initially], none. I just wanted to put a record out. Then when [second album, 1988's] 'The New Order', came out, we had a seven record deal with Atlantic Records and we just thought, 'If we can live out that term, that would be awesome. We were watching a lot bands around us fold on their second or third album. We realized how hard it was. The playing is the easy part, it's just everything in between — that's what breaks bands up. I don't think it's the music at all, it's the chemistry. It's dealing with all of the downtime in between the two hours you're onstage."
MusicRadar.com: What's the most important lesson you've learned in your years as a musician?
Eric: "Just being consistent and sticking to your blueprint. It's easy when other bands come into the scene that are like a whole new different style to go, 'I wanna be like that now!' But we have a following and we've got to be like, 'This is how we are!' It's very important that you stick to your guns. When you're a thrash band, it's not a good idea to add rap, or start wearing trippy clothes — the fans can see right through that crap."
MusicRadar.com: Alex Skolnick has been back with the band since 2005. Has the way you divide guitar duties changed over the years?
Eric: "The duties have changed a little bit. Alex is still the lead guitarist, but I'm starting to do a little more soloing now. As players, we've all grown a lot. Alex has got a lot of influences and it really, really shows in his playing. When you hear his leads, you know it's him. But when Alex left the band I started taking on more. The other guitar players that I jammed with, first Glenn Alvelais and then James Murphy, were all like, 'Dude! How come you don't play leads? You're killer!'"
MusicRadar.com: So that gave you the impetus to start developing your leads...
Eric: "It wasn't like that before. No one said to me, 'Play leads!' It was just 'Alex is the lead guitar player, you're the rhythm. This is how we're doing it.' When Alex came back I said, 'I'm not going to step on your toes — we're not going to fight for solos here — but it's just going to add more to it.' And he was like, 'Totally, dude! You should totally do that.' That was a real breathe of fresh air, because the old way would have been, 'Well, I'm the lead guitar player.' We've all grown up now and it's such a better band [for it]."

Video: Former WHITE LION Frontman Performs Solo Acoustic Concert In Sutton-In-AshfieldFan-filmed video footage of former WHITE LION singer Mike Tramp 's November 22 solo acoustic performance at The Diamond in Sutton-in-Ashfield, United Kingdom can be seen below.
During an appearance at last month's Swedish metal convention Rockmässan in Malmö, Tramp stated about the possibility of a WHITE LION reunion, "WHITE LION is a combination of [original WHITE LION guitarist] Vito [Bratta] and I writing the songs together, and that's sort of how it comes out. But there's no chance in hell that that will ever happen, and it's all because of the feedback I get from Vito. And also, I'm not fighting to put WHITE LION back together. These days, when I go out and play the songs from WHITE LION, it's to give it to the fans who just wanna hear the songs that night. I try not, again, to call myself WHITE LION, but more like, 'Mike Tramp celebrating the songs of WHITE LION,' so you come to the club tonight and we'll just play the songs and enjoy the songs. But if I go out there with four new guys, I don't feel good calling it WHITE LION. I did it for a short time, and when I look back, I kind of almost regret it. I could have called it something else, because it's not WHITE LION."
Regarding WHITE LION's split, Tramp said: "We never got a chance to say goodbye to the fans. We never got a chance to make a statement to the press. … WHITE LION was playing the last show and Vito and I just went to the airport — I went to California and he went to New York — and we just said… We didn't even look at each other. And it wasn't that we were fighting. And the interesting thing… [People say] 'Well, why shouldn't you carry on?' [But we got] no call from the record company, no call from the managers, no call from the merchandising company… All these people were making millions of dollars off us. It's like we just disappeared. There was never any closing. So it's taken me many years to really understand what the fuck happened here."
Tramp recently completed work on a new solo album, to be released before the end of the year.

DEMONICA Taps Former SLAYER/TESTAMENT Drummer PAUL BOSTAPH For Sophomore AlbumDEMONICA — the project featuring MERCYFUL FATE guitarist Hank Shermann alongside FORBIDDEN/SPIRALARMS axeman Craig Locicero — has tapped drummer Paul Bostaph (SLAYER, EXODUS, TESTAMENT, FORBIDDEN) for the band's sophomore album, which is expected to be recorded sometime in 2013.
"Hank is busy until March and he wants me to write the majority of the record with [bassist Marc] Grabowski and Paul," Locicero tells BLABBERMOUTH.NET. "I've started riffing. That's where it's at. I want Hank to contribute, so I'm taking it slow."
He adds, "For the next few months I'm really concentrating on SPIRALARMS. That's where my heart is."
DEMONICA made its "official" live debut on August 6, 2010 at Lakei in Helmond, The Netherlands. The band also played a "secret" show the night before in Copenhegen, Denmark.
DEMONICA in 2010 inked a North American deal with Giddy Up! Records. The band's debut album, "Demonstrous", was released domestically in June of that year. The CD, which was made available in Europe via Massacre Records, was recorded in the Bay Area, the Rocky Mountains and Copenhagen (Denmark), and was mixed at Flatline Audio in Denver, Colorado with Dave Otero (CEPHALIC CARNAGE, MARTRIDEN, COBALT).

JASON MCMASTER's BROKEN TEETH Releases 'Devil On The Road' SingleBROKEN TEETH is the Austin-based hard rock quintet featuring DANGEROUS TOYS/WATCHTOWER vocalist Jason McMaster, has released a new single, "Devil On The Road", via all digital platforms, including CDBaby, iTunes and Amazon.
BROKEN TEETH is all about keeping real rock 'n' roll alive. The band, which is influenced by classic hard rock acts like AC/DC, ROSE TATTOO and THIN LIZZY, is comprised of McMaster, drummer Bruce Rivers, guitarists Jared Tuten and David Beeson, and, presently, bassist Robb Lampman (SKREW).
Travis Weiss, a founding member of Austin band DUKE — which recorded a new album last year with producer Paul Soroski (PODUNK) that is expected to be released on RockArmy Records sometime in 2013 — served as touring bassist for BROKEN TEETH over the past couple of years, and performed on the band's new single. Tragically, Weiss unexpectedly passed away in September, forcing both bands into temporary hiatus.
The release of "Devil On The Road" is both a tribute to Weiss — since it represents the final recording he made before his death — and a call to arms for BROKEN TEETH to continue carrying the flag for classic rock 'n' roll in Austin.
"Devil On The Road" is “the only song we have a recording of with Travis on bass, making it special to the band and to his family and fans," says McMaster, "and his loss was so sudden… we had just gotten off the road, and all of us — the band, his friends, his family — are still in shock."
BROKEN TEETH will donate a portion of the proceeds from all sales of "Devil On The Road" to Weiss' family.

A PALE HORSE NAMED DEATH To Release Sophomore Album In The SpringA PALE HORSE NAMED DEATH, the band featuring Brooklyn, New York native Sal Abruscato — who played drums on three TYPE O NEGATIVE albums ("Slow, Deep & Hard", "Origin Of The Feces", "Bloody Kisses"), as well as four LIFE OF AGONY releases ("River Runs Red", "Ugly", "River Runs Again", "Broken Valley") — on guitar and vocals, is putting the finishing touches on its sophomore album for a late spring release via Steamhammer/SPV. The group has once again commissioned famed artist Sam Shearon (a.k.a. Mister-Sam; ROB ZOMBIE, FEAR FACTORY, RAMMSTEIN) to create the artwork for the as-yet-untitled CD.
Regarding the musical direction of A PALE HORSE NAMED DEATH's forthcoming album, Abruscato states: "The sound has evolved and become a bit more orchestrated. More harmony work has been done on this album, including new elements such as a Hammond B3 organ and piano. To me, the album has an even darker sound and feel than the first one."
He continues: "The new album is a natural progression in songwriting and vocals yet keeping continuity with the first album musically and artistically. Fans of our first album will find all the traits they love melded with even bigger production and mastering.
"Ted Jensen of Sterling Sound will be mastering the album."
A PALE HORSE NAMED DEATH's debut album, "And Hell Will Follow Me", came out last year.
The band made its live debut on February 20, 2011 at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey as the support act for MONSTER MAGNET and SEVENTH VOID.
A PALE HORSE NAMED DEATH is:
Sal Abruscato - Lead Vocals, Guitar
Matt Brown – Guitar, Backing Vocals
Johnny Kelly - Drums
Eric Morgan - Bass
Eddie Heedles - Guitar

EARTHEN GRAVE Announces New DrummerChicago's EARTHEN GRAVE has announced the addition of drummer Chris Wozniak (LAIR OF THE MINOTAUR) to the group's ranks.
Born and raised on the south side of Chicago, Wozniak has performed on drums in a variety of rock, folk, and metal bands for over 20 years. He has played with local acts TRIFOG and BLOOD OF MARTYRS, and is currently the drummer for national acts I KLATUS and LAIR OF THE MINOTAUR.
In reference to LAIR OF THE MINOTAUR's 2008 release "War Metal Battle Master", Decibel magazine described Wozniak as being "skilled at treating his drum kit like trash cans that must be killed." It's this very intensity which made him the perfect fit for Chicago's epic doom collective.
EARTHEN GRAVE's previous drummer, Scott Davidson, played on the group's 2009 "Dismal Times" debut EP and recently released full-length album, "Earthen Grave".
EARTHEN GRAVE will perform a Full on Metal show at the Double Door in Chicago this Friday, November 30, and in June comes Days of The Doomed 3 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with additional live actions to be confirmed in 2013.
EARTHEN GRAVE was founded in 2008 by guitarist Jason Muxlow (THE LIVING FIELDS, WINTERING) bassist Ron Holzner (formerly of TROUBLE, DEBRIS INC., PLACE OF SKULLS), and drummer Scott Davidson (ex-STONEHENGE, Rebel Radio). The trio recruited vocalist Mark Weiner (TRIFOG), guitarist Tony Spillman (SPILLAGE), and renowned classical violinist Rachel Barton Pine who performs on extended range electric flying V violin. In late April of this year, EARTHEN GRAVE released its mammoth first album titled "Earthen Grave". Produced by Ron Holzner, and released via his own Claude & Elmo Music, this layered opus showcases the range and diversity of the band's epic and commanding material.

Rumor: CARCASS Putting Finishing Touches On First Studio Album In 17 YearsReactivated British extreme metal legends CARCASS are rumored to be putting the finishing touches on their first studio album in 17 years with acclaimed producer Colin Richardson (FEAR FACTORY, MACHINE HEAD, NAPALM DEATH, SLIPKNOT, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE). The band has yet to secure a label home for the effort, which is expected in early 2013.
Guitarist Michael Amott and drummer Daniel Erlandsson, who have been touring with CARCASS since the band's reunion was announced in 2007, are no longer involved with the group due to scheduling conflicts with their main band, ARCH ENEMY. Joining guitarist Bill Steer and bassist/vocalist Jeff Walker in the studio for the new CD recording sessions was drummer Matthias Voigt of German death metal and hardcore fusionists HEAVEN SHALL BURN.
CARCASS is in the process of booking a number of live shows for 2013, including appearances at next year's Maryland Deathfest and Chile's Metal Fest.
In a May 2012 interview with Metal Forces, Amott said about CARCASS' future plans, "I'm not working with CARCASS at the moment. From what I hear they're working on something new, but it's not with me. I'm not included in it. I don't know. I don't comment. [laughs] I don't really know what they're working on, so it's not really for me to say, but whatever it is I wish them well, of course. I had a great time doing the reunion shows; we played a lot of shows in 2008, 2009, 2010, and I had a fantastic time at those shows. I'm a very busy guy as well, so I could see why I wouldn't be included. I've pretty much got a full-time thing going on with ARCH ENEMY, and I'm with SPIRITUAL BEGGARS on top of that. It's very difficult for me to fit in a third band with touring and everything."
CARCASS' last album, 1996's "Swansong", was re-released in July 2008 via Earache Records. The reissue came fully remastered on a DualDisc (combined CD and DVD) in a deluxe digipak with extra artwork and a free sticker sheet featuring exclusive CARCASS designs, and included part 5 of a mini-documentary series entitled "The Pathologist's Report" as bonus video material, plus an exclusive bonus track, "Deathrider Da". The documentary consisted of interviews, filmed in London and Liverpool at the end of 2007, featuring the members of CARCASS — drummer Ken Owen (who is not involved in the band's current reunion because he suffered a near-fatal brain hemorrhage in February 1999 and has had some rather serious health problems since then), Steer, Walker and Amott — who met up for the first time in ten years and were filmed discussing in-depth the story behind the band's development from their gore-soaked grind beginnings to the more refined, melodic moments of their later output. 21

AC/DC Sells 48,000 Digital Albums And 696,000 Songs In iTunes DebutAccording to Billboard.com, AC/DC's 25 albums — which became available digitally for the first time on Monday, November 19 — sold a combined 48,000 downloads and its songs shifted 696,000 in the U.S. in the week ending November 25.
AC/DC's top-selling album for the week was 1980's "Back In Black" with 15,000 — more than 10,000 ahead of its second-biggest title, 1979's "Highway to Hell" (a little under 5,000). Coming in third for the week was the brand new "Live At River Plate" (4,000), followed by 1976's "High Voltage" (just under 3,000) and "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" (2,000). The most downloaded song was "Thunderstruck" (85,000), followed by "Back in Black" (68,000), "You Shook Me All Night Long" (64,000), "Highway To Hell" (50,000) and "TNT" (40,000). 14 AC/DC songs sold at least 10,000 last week.
All tracks were mastered for iTunes, and fans have the ability to download full albums or simply purchase their favorite individual songs. Fans can also choose from two specially packaged digital compilations: "The Complete Collection", the complete iTunes-exclusive AC/DC catalog; and "The Collection", which includes all 16 studio albums.
The full catalog which has all been mastered for iTunes includes:
Collections:

* The Complete Collection (all studio albums, live albums and box sets for $149.99)

AC/DC had previously rejected iTunes distribution in an attempt to preserve the concept of the album.
"Since iTunes came into existence, we've actually increased our back-catalog sales without being on the site. We were sternly warned by our management team and our record label that the complete opposite would be the case," guitarist Angus Young said in an interview.
"I know THE BEATLES have changed but we're going to carry on like that," Angus told Sky News. "For us, it's the best way. We are a band who started off with albums and that's how we've always been. We always were a band that if you heard something [by AC/DC] on the radio, well, that's only three minutes. Usually the best tracks were on the albums."
Speaking to The Telegraph in a 2008, Young said, "If we were on iTunes, we know a certain percentage of people would only download two or three songs from the album — and we don't think that represents us musically."
"Maybe I'm just being old-fashioned, but this iTunes, God bless 'em, it's going to kill music if they're not careful," singer Brian Johnson told Reuters. "It's a...monster, this thing. It just worries me. And I'm sure they're just doing it all in the interest of making as much... cash as possible. Let's put it this way, it's certainly not for the... love, let's get that out of the way right away."

JOE LYNN TURNER Has 'No Idea' If He Will Be Included In Possible PURPLE 'Rock Hall' InductionRobert Cavuoto of Guitar International recently conducted an interview with legendary singer Joe Lynn Turner's (RAINBOW, DEEP PURPLE, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN). An excerpt from the chat follows below.
Guitar International: What was it like to be in the RAINBOW legacy and perform the Ronnie James Dio songs?
Joe Lynn Turner: I loved doing the Dio songs. I grew up listening to him, David Coverdale and Ian Gillan. I performed a lot of those songs in cover bands, but to be standing on the stage next to Ritchie Blackmore was a whole other level, of course.
Guitar International: Your legacy in RAINBOW spawned the most video and commercial radio hits for the band. Was that the intent?
Joe Lynn Turner: That's was the actual design of it. We were supposed to be more commercial. When Ritchie got me in the band, he point-blank told me that we were going after a commercial market. Other bands on the label were going that way like DEF LEPPARD who were getting played on the radio. Ritchie wanted to get played on the radio too. I said then let's go after their throats; we are going to write songs that are hook, line, and sinker hits. That was mission and we accomplished it.
Guitar International: Do you still keep in touch with Ritchie?
Joe Lynn Turner: Not much. It's pretty difficult with the whole personality thing. It could be one line in an e-mail. I could send an email saying congratulations on this or that and he would write back, "Thanks." [laughs]
Guitar International: Do you have any insight into the DEEP PURPLE Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction?
Joe Lynn Turner: I have read that he was not going to attend. He was never one of those guys that believe he needed an award. In a way, I respect that. There are a lot of people that think it is a scam, money and politically oriented. So I understand what he means.
Guitar International: I ask because you were in DEEP PURPLE and was wondering if you were going to be included in the induction?
Joe Lynn Turner: That would be interesting. I really have no idea. I have no idea which of the other members of DEEP PURPLE will be included. I don't know if it's just the Mach 5 lineup. DEEP PURPLE is a band that had a lot of members run through it. I haven't really pursued it or tried to find out, because I'm personally half and half about it. I have a little bit of Blackmore's attitude in the sense that DEEP PURPLE should have been in 20 years ago. What's that all about?
