Croatian female fronted doom/gothic metallers ASHES YOU LEAVE have signed a worldwide management deal with Rock N Growl.

Says the band: "We are proud to announce that from now on we will be represented by Rock N Growl promotion and management agency. We are really happy to have this renowned German agency as a partner. The band is currently working on their sixth album, The Cure For Happiness. Now it’s time to rewrite the history as AYL is ready to record the successor to Songs of the Lost. The band’s sixth album, The Cure for Happiness, is scheduled for a tentative release in the first quarter of 2012. The record will see the enchanting Ms. Giada “Jade” Etro behind the microphone. This mesmerizing and amazingly talented singer comes from Italy and this will be her first release as a lead singer.

According to TMZ.com, former QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE/KYUSS and current KYUSS LIVES! bassist Nick Oliveri has been charged with four felonies and faces up to 15 years in prison stemming from his arrest last month in Hollywood after a five-hour standoff with police.

Nick Oliveri was booked on July 12 on felony domestic violence. The police was called to the scene by Oliveri's neighbor who reported a "disturbance" between the 39-year-old rocker and his girlfriend. A standoff between a SWAT team and Nick ensued before Oliveri finally agreed to let his girlfriend exit the duplex.

Oliveri was taken into custody about 10:30 p.m. after Los Angeles police officers knocked down his front door.

Nick's girlfriend reportedly told police Oliveri hit her during an argument the day before and she had returned to collect her stuff so she could move out.

During a search of Nick's home on Hobart Boulevard, cops reportedly found a fully loaded high-powered rifle, cocaine and methamphetamines..

Oliveri is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with a firearm, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and one misdemeanor count of resisting, obstructing or delaying a peace officer.

If convicted on all counts, he faces a maximum of 15 years in prison.

Oliveri was forced to miss several KYUSS LIVES! shows in Europe earlier this month due to his legal troubles. His temporary replacement was Scott Reeder (GOATSNAKE, THE OBSESSED, KYUSS).

Canadian grind/metal band FUCK THE FACTS has added a handful of dates to their upcoming Canadian tour. The band will team up with MISERY INDEX starting next week in Quebec before heading into the Maritimes. Fuck The Facts will also headline dates in Ontario and Quebec on their way home. A listing of confirmed tour dates and cities can be found below.

Fuck The Facts has recently completed work on their brand new full-length, Die Miserable. Die Miserable was recorded in-between touring at the band’s home studio and has been set for an October 11th North American release date. The complete tracklisting for Die Miserable is below. Brazilian symphonic black metallers FROST DESPAIR have revealed the artwork for their debut EP, The God Delusion, a title inspired by Richard Dawkins books. The EP was recorded from March to July in Hurricane Studios, with producer Sebastian Carsin (ENTHRONED).

Frost Despair frontman, Odommok, shares the following about the new effort: "We started work with The God Delusion using elements of different kinds of classic music and metal. Our atheistic metal will be great! Hails!”

The artwork was made by Marcelo Vasco, who previously worked with several extreme metal acts like DIMMU BORGIR, DARK FUNERAL, SATYRICON, BELPHEGOR and GORGOROTH. Check it out below:

About the artwork Marcelo comments: “My intention creating the Frost Despair's cover art was to illustrate the perfect symbiosis between the living beauty and lightness that surrounds a symphony, and at the same time its possibility of being dark, heavy, painful, death and sad. PANTERA/DAMAGEPLAN guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott was shot to death along with three others during a DAMAGEPLAN performance at the Alrosa Villa nightclub in Columbus, Ohio in December 2004.

Cape Fear doom kings SOURVEIN have announced the return of original bassist, Joshua ''JC Fari" Crapo, who played with the band from 1993 - 2001 and again from 2003 - 2006.

Fari held down the low-end duties on both Sourvein's self-titled full-length and the He's No Good To Me Dead compilation (featuring Sourvein alongside GRIEF, BONGZILLA, NEGATIVE REACTION and SUBSANITY) as well as other comps. and the Will To Mangle demos. Fari also played guitar on the band's split with BUZZOV*EN in 1995.

Fari relocated to Austin after Hurricane Katrina flooded his New Orleans apartment and studio in 2005 and left the band in 2006, following a successful tour of the UK with REMESSES, to focus on his family. Since then, he's been raising his son and working as a recording engineer. As of this summer, Fari is finally able to commit to touring and recording with Sourvein full time.

Fari will join vocalist T-Roy and co. for the band's West Coast leg of the Black Fangs world tour in October.

The Sourvein collective wishes to extend its gratitude to Ahmasi O'Daniel (THE MISANTHRONE PROJECT) and Dave Sherman (EARTHRIDE) filling in on bast the past few tours.

Black Fangs was released via Candlelight Records on June 21st.

Former NIGHTWISH frontman Tarja Turunen's official web site has been updated with the following message:

"There is an old Finnish tradition when it comes to newborns — the baby is not to be named until the baptism ceremony, when he or she is presented to the family with the chosen name.

"A few years ago, in 2006, a new project from Tarja was born and, following the same tradition, the time has come to baptize it, to make the presentations to the family and to give it a name — HARUS.

"'Harus' is a rather peculiar, uncommon Finnish word that describes the four tensors that keep a tent together or the tensor that keeps the mast from falling in a sailing boat. Both of the meanings apply to this musicians' lineup: four members, four equals, four different backgrounds to tie together exquisite classical music developed strongly and in a very stable way, with a taste of experimental, modern feel.

"The ever-changing waters HARUS sails on promise a unique feeling and combination for each program."

Former FOREIGNER singer Lou Gramm has accused the current version of the band of "misleading" the fans and "false advertising" by recruiting a singer, Kelly Hansen, whose delivery so closely mimics Gramm's performance on such classic songs as "Cold As Ice", "Waiting For A Girl Like You" and "Feels Like The First Time".

When asked by Spinner.com if it's strange to know that he is being "replicated," in a sense, at FOREIGNER's current concerts, Gramm replied, "It is. It totally is. But what's stranger to me is that, as I've learned talking to people who see those shows, is that in many cases the audience, especially if they're younger, don't even know it's not the original lead singer. In FOREIGNER's case, as I understand it, the singer was actually trained to deliver pretty much exactly everything as I did it, note for note. If I were in the audience and learned that while I was there, I'd get up and leave. I think when the band name remains the exact same, but something as important as the lead vocal is different, it's misleading. It's like false advertising."

According to AllMusic Guide, Gramm was sidelined with several health issues in the late 1990s. He was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor on the eve of the band's planned Japanese tour in 1997, and the surgery that followed damaged his pituitary gland. After a year of rehabilitation and radiation treatment, the singer made a full recovery and resumed touring in 1999. He split with FOREIGNER once again in 2003, however, preferring to tour in support of his solo material instead.

Former NEVERMORE guitarist Jeff Loomis will enter the studio on August 23 to begin tracking his new solo album. Dirk Verbeuren of SOILWORK will play drums on the follow-up to 2008's "Zero Order Phase", which will feature three or four tracks with vocals. Christine Rhoades, who previously collaborated with NEVERMORE on the "Dreaming Neon Black" CD, will sing on selected tracks and Shane Lentz will handle the bass. Aaron Smith (7 HORNS 7 EYES) will produce the effort.

"[Smith] has been a friend for a while now and has helped me out with various recording projects over the years," says Loomis. "We've been working on demos and pre-production for the past few weeks and are very happy with the way things are turning out."

He adds, "Doing drums, as most of you know, is Dirk Verbeuren. I don't think there's really anything else I can add to that. His name just sort of speaks for itself.

"Up until about two weeks ago, I was planning on doing the bass parts myself but then saw this amazing bass player on YouTube and said to myself, 'I need to have him on the record.' I got in touch and was thrilled to find out he was into it. I'm really looking forward to hearing what he's going to be bringing to these songs."
