The tour was supposed to see YES performing the group's classic 1971 album "Fragile" in its entirety, as well as a selection of songs from across YES's illustrious catalogue from their legendary 1970s releases right up to their current album, "Mirror To the Sky".
Earlier today (Thursday, April 2),YES released the following statement via social media: "The upcoming YES 'Fragile' UK and EU tour, due to commence on 22nd April, has had to be postponed as guitarist Steve Howe requires an essential operation that requires recovery time. This decision has been made to ensure that Steve can return to the stage in full health and deliver the performances that fans deserve.
"We are working hard to reschedule the UK and EU shows to a later date, with full details to be announced after Easter. Please retain your tickets as they will be valid for the rescheduled dates. Tour dates currently being arranged for later in 2026 will proceed as planned.
"Steve Howe and YES would like to thank their UK fans and hope for their continued support at this time."
Steve Howe is a highly influential guitarist born in London in 1947. He is best known for his groundbreaking work with progressive rock legends YES, recording the classic albums "Close To The Edge", "Fragile", "Tales From Topographic Oceans" and "Relayer", with the most recent being 2023's "Mirror To The Sky".
Howe's early recording career began in the 1960s with THE SYNDICATS and TOMORROW before joining YES in 1970, making his debut appearance on "The Yes Album" in 1971 where he has, over several periods with the band, recorded 19 studio albums.
His unique style embodies an innovative blend of classical, jazz, folk and rock influences which has seen him play an array of guitars and stringed instruments which brought a unique sound to his complex compositions.
On a hiatus from YES, Howe formed supergroup ASIA with Carl Palmer (ELP),John Wetton (KING CRIMSON) and Geoff Downes (YES) achieving a Number One album on the American Billboard Top 100 in 1982, where it stayed for an astonishing nine weeks yielding three top 10 hit singles, including "Heat Of The Moment". Howe went on to record seven studio albums with ASIA across several periods in the band.
Howe also collaborated with GENESIS guitarist Steve Hackett in the short-lived GTR, achieving a Top 20 album in America and several albums with keyboardist Paul Sutin.
Howe has also had a varied career as a session guitarist playing on albums by a diverse range of artists including FRANKIE GOES TO HOLLYWOOD, PROPAGANDA, the BEE GEES, William Shatner and QUEEN.
Howe has released 15 solo albums and a further two studio albums with THE STEVE HOWE TRIO, formed with his son Dylan, which has seen him explore a wide range of styles and techniques.
Howe, who was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2017 as a member of YES, has been an enduring presence in the music scene for over half a century, continually exploring and pushing back the boundaries of musical possibilities influencing musicians as diverse as Alex Lifeson (RUSH),Steven Wilson (PORCUPINE TREE) and Brian May (QUEEN).
The upcoming YES ‘Fragile’ UK and EU Tour, due to commence on 22nd April, has had to be postponed as guitarist Steve...

18. Born
19. Dead Heart In A Dead World
Forged in the aftermath of SANCTUARY, NEVERMORE carved out a sound defined by precision musicianship, fearless songwriting, and emotional intensity. From their self-titled debut in 1995 through landmark releases such as "Dead Heart In A Dead World" and "This Godless Endeavor", NEVERMORE built a global following and a reputation as one of modern metal's most distinctive voices.
Following the band's disbandment, Jeff released the acclaimed solo albums "Zero Order Phase" and "Plains Of Oblivion", co-founded CONQUERING DYSTOPIA and spent nearly a decade as a member of ARCH ENEMY, contributing to releases, including "Will To Power" and "Deceivers". Van remained active through projects such as ASHES OF ARES and GHOST SHIP OCTAVIUS. Warrel Dane continued creating until his passing in 2017, leaving behind a body of work that continues to inspire musicians and fans worldwide.
Regarding NEVERMORE's comeback, Van said: "It's been brewing for quite a while and has just started to manifest itself into the now. So what better time is there to kick things off than now?"
He continued: "If the new music had to be described by one word, that would have to be delicious. Because it's so good it's gonna leave you hungry for more."
Jeff stated about Berzan's addition to NEVERMORE: "He really stood out strong in so many ways upon a first listen. I could really feel the emotion and passion when I heard him sing for the first time. He wasn't just going through the motions. I could tell right away that he was a fan of Warrel's singing just by the way he delivered and said certain words. I was really blown away at first watch."
The history of NEVERMORE includes an extraordinary lineage of musicians who shaped its evolution. Guitarists Pat O'Brien, Tim Calvert, Steve Smyth and Chris Broderick each left a distinct imprint on the band's catalog and live presence. Bassist Jim Sheppard played a central role in shaping the band's identity during its defining years.
NEVERMORE effectively split up in 2011 when Loomis and Williams announced their departure from the band due to personal differences with Dane and Sheppard. Warrel later described NEVERMORE in an interview as "the greatest band that alcohol ever ruined."
Dane died in in December 2017 in São Paulo, Brazil while recording his posthumously released solo studio album, "Shadow Work". The musician reportedly had a heart attack during the night and could not be revived.
According to guitarist Johnny Moraes, who played in Warrel's solo band, Dane had a history of addiction and other health issues. "His health was already very weak because of his diabetes and his problems with alcoholism," he said.
The instrumental parts for Dane's follow-up to 2008's "Praises To The War Machine" solo album were almost completed and he had begun laying down his vocals shortly before his death.
When Loomis and Williams revealed their plan to launch a "world search" for a vocalist and bassist for the reformed version of the band, Van addressed Jim's absence from the reunion, saying: "Some people think it's disrespectful not to involve Jim or inform him of our plans. But those who feel that way don't know the history of the band or the behind-the-scenes dynamics that led to this decision. While it may not have been the most ideal approach, the reality is that there hasn't been communication with Jim in years.
"We felt that sometimes, for the sake of a fresh start, it's necessary to move on from relationships that may no longer be conducive to growth or new beginnings. We made this decision with the intention of honoring the legacy of the band while moving forward in a way that felt right for us at the time. That said, we wish him good health and he is free to pursue whatever path he chooses. Without going into too much detail, I'll just say respect goes both ways, and certain things became irreconcilable over time for us… I wish the situation with Jim were different, but the past has brought us here."
Williams also denied that he and Loomis were reforming NEVERMORE as a "money grab", explaining: "Most musicians don't do this for the money. We've spent countless hours thru the years sweating, rehearsing, performing, and recording simply because we love it. This is what we chose to do in life because we've always loved it. That's what drives us, the passion for music, the connection with fans, and the creative process. If money comes from that, great but it has never been the focus, but we also have bills to pay like you."
For his part, Jeff defended the decision to reactivate NEVERMORE with new musicians, writing: "No one can replace Warrel Dane. Bottom line. With his interesting melodies and charisma onstage, he was a force that was a huge part of the band both lyrically and spiritually. With that being said, we aren't looking for a Warrel Dane clone. We are looking for someone that can carry the older NEVERMORE tunes in his vocal style, and someone who can add something new and refreshing to the next chapter of the band. Obviously, this won't be the easiest thing to do."
Loomis "amicably" left ARCH ENEMY in December 2023 and was replaced by Joey Concepcion.
Jeff, who was the main songwriter in NEVERMORE, joined ARCH ENEMY in late 2014, but was not involved in the writing for the latter act's two albums that he appeared on, 2017's "Will To Power" and 2022's "Deceivers".
In December 2019, Sheppard launched a project called THE DEAD HEART COLLECTIVE, featuring music and lyrics inspired by Dane. At the time, Sheppard sent his synopsis of THE DEAD HEART COLLECTIVE to BLABBERMOUTH.NET in which he explained his decision to start a new project as a vehicle for Warrel to "channel songs and paintings" through him.
Sheppard addressed NEVERMORE's return in a statement he released to BLABBERMOUTH.NET on January 4, 2025. He wrote at the time: "In my heart, NEVERMORE will always be Warrel, Jeff and I living in a one-room apartment, slaves to an eight-track recording machine, non-stop songwriting insanity. We were driven, we were hungry... To quote Dave Mustaine, we were ready to 'smile, eat shit and ask for more!'
"True, I've been retired. I enjoy my new life in Alaska following bears with my wife Priscila, a wildlife photographer.
"My opinion of [Loomis's and Williams's] press release [announcing the NEVERMORE comeback is] Van came across self-promoting and Jeff felt very sincere; he truly wants to capture a little piece of the magic we held.
"I'm disappointed no one reached out to me concerning the name NEVERMORE, a name that means blood, sweat and tears. With that said, I wish them the best."
Wednesday is going to be incredible. We are officially SOLD OUT! Let us know in the comments if we'll see you there. Anyone traveling from another country?

GARY HOLT: 'METALLICA Were The Best Of All Of Us' But 'I Think EXODUS Crushes Them' NowIn a new interview with Metal Hammer Spain, EXODUS guitarist Gary Holt spoke about the band's musical evolution, particularly in the wake of fellow metal legends METALLICA's massive commercial success in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "I think the thrash bands that came after [us] — 'cause, obviously, the first two in the [San Francisco] Bay Area were us and METALLICA — were really chasing what METALLICA did. That's why most of 'em started doing ballads and they started following the blueprint a little, whereas EXODUS kind of did our own thing. And for better or for worse, we made our own decisions. We tried our hardest not to be like METALLICA."
Gary continued: "Everybody makes their own musical decisions. METALLICA were the best of all of us. I mean, I don't think so anymore — I think EXODUS crushes them, but that's my own humble opinion. But [METALLICA's third LP, 1986's] 'Master Of Puppets', to me, is the best metal album ever made. I fucking love it. I'm jealous, that album is so good. It makes me jealous. Some people like [METALLICA's second album, 1984's] 'Ride The Lightning' better. I think 'Master Of Puppets' is a masterpiece. That album and 'Stained Class' [by] JUDAS PRIEST are, to me, the two best metal albums of all time. [EXODUS guitarist] Lee Altus likes 'Ride The Lightning' better [than 'Master Of Puppets']. To me, it's no choice. It's, like, no — it's fucking 'Master Of Puppets'."
Back in 2021, Holt told U.K.'s Metal Hammer magazine that EXODUS "stomped [METALLICA] into the dirt" when the two bands shared the stage at a New Year's Eve gig in San Francisco as they rang in the year 1986 along with MEGADETH and METAL CHURCH. "We were getting wasted after the show, and James [Hetfield, METALLICA frontman] was laughing and saying, 'Haha, that's the last time you guys'll ever support us.' And it was the last time we ever supported METALLICA," Gary said.
When Metal Hammer writer Dave Everley asked "The $64,000 question: no EXODUS, no thrash scene. True?" Holt replied, "Absolutely. I'll own that. We created the violent scene."
"The scene was rad," Holt added. "You could go to a different club five nights a week and never see the same band twice. There wasn't thrash metal competition, 'cause in the beginning there was only us and METALLICA. The first time I ever heard with them was when we played with them, and it felt like looking in a mirror. Later on, there was some competition. The bands were all friends, and we hung out together, but EXODUS owned [legendary San Francisco Bay Area club] Ruthie's. Everybody was gunning for us, but nobody could take us."
Holt's comments echoed those he made back in February 2021 when he told the "Alive & Streaming" YouTube series about EXODUS's 1985 concert with METALLICA: "We crushed METALLICA. And look, I'm not gloating — we crushed 'em, and they knew it. It was their big homecoming. They just finished recording 'Master Of Puppets', and we came out, and we had more amps, we had a bigger riser. We came out looking like the headliners. And we were partying hard after, and James comes up, and we were just getting wasted. [And he said,] 'That'll be the last time you guys open for us.' And it was. [Laughs] We never played with METALLICA again until in the recent decade, and that was, like, festivals somewhere."
Holt went on to say that he still gets along great with all the members of METALLICA. "I love 'em to death, and I'll always support 'em and always give them all credit where credit's due," he said. "I consider 'Master Of Puppets' the greatest metal album ever made. Nobody's ever come up with anything close to it. Maybe close would be JUDAS PRIEST 'Stained Class'. But I give 'em all respect. Even with 'St. Anger', I always said, yeah, if they made it sound right, it wouldn't be so bad. [I saw a thing] on YouTube, some guy re-recorded the whole album, but did it with a proper drum sound and guitar sound, and the songs are killer… I never listened to 'Lulu', because I don't want it to sully my opinion of the band I admire so much. [Laughs]"
"Lulu", METALLICA's controversial collaborative disc with Lou Reed, polarized fans around the world and earned the band some of the most scathing reviews of its career. The effort featured the late THE VELVET UNDERGROUND frontman's spoken-word poetry and lyrics combined with METALLICA's musical assault for a jarring experience that didn't sound like anything METALLICA had ever attempted before.
METALLICA guitarist Kirk Hammett was part of the original lineup of EXODUS alongside guitarist Tim Agnello, drummer Tom Hunting and vocalist Keith Stewart. Holt joined the band in 1981, while Kirk left to join METALLICA two years before EXODUS's debut album, 1985's "Bonded By Blood", saw the light of day.
Although EXODUS rarely gets mentioned alongside the so-called "Big Four" of 1980s thrash metal — METALLICA, MEGADETH, SLAYER and ANTHRAX — "Bonded By Blood" inspired the likes of TESTAMENT, DEATH ANGEL, VIO-LENCE and many others to launch their careers and is considered one of the most influential thrash metal albums of all time.
EXODUS's twelfth studio album, "Goliath", came out on March 20 via Napalm Records. 17

JUDAS PRIEST's RICHIE FAULKNER Opens Up About Fatherhood: 'Coming Home To' My Daughter 'After A Tour Is A Big Relief'In a new interview with Tim Caple of the Rock 'N' Blues Experience, JUDAS PRIEST guitarist Richie Faulkner touched upon the health issues and physical challenges he has faced in the four and a half years since experiencing an aortic aneurysm and complete aortic dissection while performing at the 2021 Louder Than Life festival in Louisville, Kentucky. Asked about the importance of his family support in overcoming his medical issues, particularly now that he is a father to a young daughter, Daisy Mae, Richie said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "I think it's incredibly helpful. If your base is secure, you can build on that. At the end of the day, that's your base and you can kind of retreat to that and everything's fine. If your base is shaken or it's not secure, then that can go against you. But [my daughter] doesn't know half of what went on [with my health]. We'll tell her one day. She knows surface-level stuff. But she's happy. She's smart, she's learning lots of new things. Her life isn't affected by it as much as it could have been. So we are grateful for that."
Faulkner went on to say that Daisy, whom she shares with Mariah Lynch, daughter of former DOKKEN guitarist George Lynch, has already expressed an interest in performing. "She's a drummer, she's a singer. She loves it all," he said. "She loves the drums, she loves the guitar. She likes to sing. She just started doing acting classes, so, yeah, we've got our hands full. But she's great, man. She's a colorful character. She's almost six, so she's got a big life. She's got a big heart, and she's a good girl. So, yeah, she's beautiful. So, coming home to that after a tour is a big relief."
Immediately after PRIEST's performance at the 2021 Louder Than Life, it took the Rudd Heart and Lung Center at UofL Health - Jewish Hospital's cardiothoracic surgery team approximately 10 hours to complete the now-46-year-old British-born musician's first surgery, an aortic valve and ascending aorta replacement with hemiarch replacement, enabling Richie to eventually return to the road. Faulkner later revealed that he suffered a stroke that left him with permanent damage to his brain, which has affected how he plays his instrument. He explained that in 2022, he noticed that "something was different" about how he used his right hand to play guitar and brush his teeth. He decided to see a doctor and quickly learned he had damage to his brain after experiencing a stroke, not a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA) as he had previously believed.
After the 2021 Louder Than Life festival, JUDAS PRIEST postponed the remainder of the U.S. dates on its 50th-anniversary tour, dubbed "50 Heavy Metal Years". The shows were rescheduled for March and April 2022.
Faulkner joined PRIEST in 2011 as the replacement for original guitarist K.K. Downing.
Richie was once the guitarist in the backing group for Lauren Harris, daughter of IRON MAIDEN bassist Steve Harris.
Faulkner's ELEGANT WEAPONS project will release its sophomore album "Evolution", on April 24, 2026 via Exciter Records.
ELEGANT WEAPONS features a formidable lineup: Faulkner, vocalist Ronnie Romero (RAINBOW, MSG),bassist Dave Rimmer (URIAH HEEP) and drummer Christopher Williams (ACCEPT).
"Evolution" was co-produced by Faulkner alongside Andy Sneap (JUDAS PRIEST's touring guitarist, who also produced PRIEST's "Invincible Shield" and "Firepower" albums),with the recording spanning Nashville, Europe, and France — a truly global effort reflecting the band's international pedigree.
ELEGANT WEAPONS' debut album, "Horns For A Halo", was released in May 2023 via Nuclear Blast. The LP was recorded with bassist Rex Brown (PANTERA, DOWN) and drummer Scott Travis (JUDAS PRIEST) and was helmed by Sneap, who has previously worked with JUDAS PRIEST, ACCEPT, EXODUS and MEGADETH, among many others.
ELEGANT WEAPONS made its first two festival appearances in June 2023 at Hellfest in Clisson, France and at Graspop Metal Meeting in Dessel, Belgium.
ELEGANT WEAPONS played additional shows in Europe through July 2023. The trek included performances with PANTERA, festival appearances and headlining shows.

CONVERGE Announces Second New Album Of 2026, 'Hum Of Hurt'CONVERGE will release a new album, "Hum Of Hurt", on June 5, 2026 via Deathwish/Epitaph. "Hum Of Hurt" follows "Love Is Not Enough" as CONVERGE's second full-length release of 2026. Like its predecessor, the album offers a bleak-yet-empathetic assessment of the human condition and its ongoing deterioration. With this album, the songs are more raw and exposed.
"When we came together to write, we ended up with a wealth of material," vocalist and lyricist Jacob Bannon says. "As work progressed, we realized we had created two separate albums, and treated them as such."
"Hum Of Hurt" is distinct from "Love Is Not Enough", but just as volatile and potent. "It's not a sequel," Bannon explains. "The unifying musical idea early on was, 'Let's make a noise rock album.' But we never really did. The first one wasn't. This one touches on that spirit, but it's much more dynamic than that descriptor. To me, it leans more into being an emotional hardcore album, while 'Love Is Not Enough' feels more metal leaning album. In the end, we simply gave creative birth to another CONVERGE record with its own unique identity and character."
The title track— which premieres today— stands as one of the most propulsive and emotional songs in CONVERGE's career. Thematically, Bannon examines the price of the lives we pursue. "I've given 35 years of my life to creating art and music," he says. "I appreciate the creative home and support this community has given, yet rarely is space left for anything else. These lyrics are me looking in a mirror, recognizing that I am not the man I want to be. I need change, and still have work to do."
You feel it before you hear it. And once you hear it, you can't unhear it. A low, persistent noise throbbing in the background. Scientists say it registers between 30 and 40 hertz. It's been heard in Ipswich, Massachusetts; Auckland, New Zealand; and Windsor, Ontario. It has haunted the population of Taos, New Mexico, for decades. It's been linked to suicides in the U.K. Not everyone can hear it. No one knows where it's coming from. They call it The Hum.
CONVERGE has taken this mysterious real-world phenomenon and reimagined it as a physical manifestation of human suffering. Then an idea struck. "What if 'The Hum' is the culmination of all the pain in the world, creating an audible signal across the universe?" Bannon posits. "Something noticeable to others operating on a similar emotional plane."
"Hum Of Hurt" was recorded and mixed by Kurt Ballou at God City in Salem, Massachusetts, with engineering assistance from Zach Weeks. Bannon and renowned U.K. artist Thomas Hooper collaborated on the album artwork.
"For the cover, I had a vision of an EKG signal fusing with some kind of volatile seismography. This amalgamation represents the conditions that would theoretically create a 'Hum.' Specifically the heart skips beats before dissolving into static. The signal is then interrupted by a seismic event at the center point of the cover. In conversation, I shared some of these ideas with artist Thomas Hooper, who offered to illustrate them using scientific diagrams as a source of inspiration. I then spent months creating a mixed media piece for the interior," Bannon says. "The figures represent the five elements of our planet, or 'Pancha Bhuta': Prithvi (Earth),Ap (Water),Agni (Fire),Vayu (Air),and Akasha (Aether). I present them in the throws of chaos, as if the elements themselves are entangled in the Hum Of Hurt."
"Hum Of Hurt" track listing:
01. Slip The Noose
02. Doom In Bloom
03. It Only Gets Worse
04. Detonator
05. I Won't Let You Go
06. It's Not Up To Us
07. Dream Debris
08. It Used To Matter
09. Hum Of Hurt

Original TESLA Members BRIAN WHEAT And TOMMY SKEOCH Join Forces With CHRIS HOLMES And JOSEY SCOTT In New Band T3RMINALT3RMINAL, the new band featuring TESLA bassist and founding member Brian Wheat, original TESLA guitarist Tommy Skeoch, former W.A.S.P. guitarist Chris Holmes and original SALIVA singer Josey Scott, is currently in the studio working on its debut full-length album, expected to be released later this year. Bringing even more firepower to the project, Sal Giancarelli (STAIND) is performing drums on the upcoming studio recording.
With decades of rock legacy between them, T3RMINAL is shaping up to deliver pure modern hard rock attitude — loud, heavy, in some cases bluesy and built to shake stages.
Tour dates will be announced following the album's release.
A video of the band in the studio can be seen below.
T3RMINAL is:
Josey Scott (ex-SALIVA) - Vocals
Brian Wheat (TESLA) - Bass
Tommy Skeoch (BAD MARRIAGE, ex-TESLA) - Guitar
Chris Holmes (ex-W.A.S.P.) - Guitar
Sal Giancarelli (STAIND) - Drums (studio)
Regarding how T3RMINAL came together, Holmes told Jimmy Kay of Canada's The Metal Voice in a recent interview: "In 2022 I played on the Monsters [Of Rock] cruise, and before we played, I ran into the Brian, and I talked to him. And we were on the boat, and we became pretty close friends. You can tell if you're gonna like somebody in about 10 minutes, 20 minutes of meeting somebody. When you're around 'em, you usually can tell if they're compatible with your personality. So he's got a house in Italy by where I live in France. I live in the south of France and right by Monaco, by Nice, and he has a place down by Florence. And he said, 'Hey, come down here.' And then when I went and visited him, he was, like, 'I've been wanting to put a band together.' He has a few other projects going. He's got one called VIOLET BREED. He's got that, but he talking to me about putting a project together. I go, 'Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.' And I gave him a few ideas of songs and whatever, and we're taking the steps and putting this project together. We've got the people together; it's just we've gotta finish the songs."
Brian added: "So what happened was this: we were on the [Monsters Of Rock] boat in 2022, but I had seen Chris's documentary, the 'Mean Man' documentary, and a friend of mine said, 'You gotta watch this, this dude in W.A.S.P.,' which was Chris. I said, 'Yeah, I met that cat a long time ago.' So I watched it and I really connected to him and his story. So when he was on the boat, when we were on the boat, I said, 'I wanna meet the guy.' So I went up to him and I introduced myself to him. I said, 'Hey, man, I'm Brian from TESLA. Nice to meet you. I saw your documentary.' And we just kind of hit it off. He said, 'Hey, let's have coffee or lunch' or whatever. We were eating at the buffet, and we were talking, and I said to Chris, 'Chris, all those years you were in W.A.S.P. Why didn't you join some other band after you were out of W.A.S.P.?' And he said, 'Well, no one wanted to play you in a band with me.' So I said, 'Well, fuck, I'll play in a band with you, man.' And that's kind of what happened. And then what happened from there was we just started hanging out. And they live in France, and I have a house in Italy, and they came and visited me. And we were talking on the phone and stuff. And on paper, I went, 'Oh, this would be cool.' So I knew me and Chris could get along. So that's that. So me and Chris said [to each other], 'Well, I'll be in a band with you.' And we're just talking. Me and Tommy, before that, had reconnected after all our years in TESLA and all the shit we went through and all the shit that people who interview us say and all kinds of shit, 'cause they like to pit us against each other, and we reconnected. So I thought to myself, I said, 'Man, Chris Holmes…'"
Wheat continued: "Now, when I first heard of Chris Holmes and W.A.S.P., it was from Tom. I was into Paul McCartney and WINGS. I am a pop guy, if you wanna say pop or melodic, whatever. I'm that guy. I'm THE BEATLES guy. So I said to myself, 'Fuck, Tommy and Chris would be great together. That would be a great combination.' So I said to Chris, 'Chris, what do you think about Tommy Skeoch, the original guitar player in TESLA? He would be perfect as a second guitar player, and we'll all work together.' And he said, 'Yeah, that's cool. Would he be into it?' I said, 'Well, I don't know. I'll call him and I'll ask him.' So then I called Tommy and said, 'Hey, would you be into fucking playing with me and Chris Holmes [in the band] we [are] putting together?' He said, 'Oh, I'd love that.' So I said, 'Yeah, Chris, he'd be into that.' So that's kind of how this came together. And then it's, like, 'Well, we've gotta have a singer.' And we talked about a few different singers and stuff. And Josey was the guy that came to my mind. [He is] easy to get along with, [and from] a different generation. 'Cause Chris was before me and Tommy. His generation was pre-TESLA. TESLA and the generation after TESLA was SALIVA. So you've got Josey. So I asked, same thing, [I] called Josey. 'What do you think?' 'Yeah, cool.' I sent him a couple of early little sketch demos that me and Chris did. He went, 'Yeah, I can sing to that.' And that's what's brought us to where we are now."
Asked about T3RMINAL's musical direction, Tommy said: "[We] just kind of come in and see what we all kind of bring to it. And that's kind of what we're doing and what's happening. And it's pretty rocking, but it's got even [more melodic] elements in it and different things."
Brian chimed in: "When you asked Tommy, 'What are you looking for [when it comes to T3RMINAL's sound]?', he's right. We don't know what we're looking for, because whatever the sound is of me, my poppy BEATLES thing, Tom's heavy edge, [Chris's] heavy metal stuff, you put it all together and then what Josey sings, that's gonna be the sound. I can't define what the sound's gonna be."
When Wheat announced T3RMINAL's formation in September 2025, he wrote: "We look forward to presenting you with our new brand of music." He then clarified: "No, I am not leaving TESLA. I'm just starting another new band with my old friend."
In July 2025, Wheat joined BAD MARRIAGE on stage in Webster, New York, marking the first time in nearly 20 years that Wheat and Skeoch — who is also BAD MARRIAGE lead guitarist — had performed live together. Wheat, Skeoch and the rest of BAD MARRIAGE ripped through the TESLA classics "Rock Me To The Top" and "Little Suzi".
Skeoch was a founding member of TESLA and played on the Sacramento five-piece defining albums, including 1986 debut "Mechanical Resonance" and 1990's "Five Man Acoustical Jam".
Tommy, who was fired due to substance abuse issues in 1994, rejoined when TESLA reformed more than two and a half decades ago following a brief hiatus. His latest exit from TESLA came in 2006.

TESLA's R&B Covers Album 'Homage' To Arrive In July: 'It's A Very Interesting Record'California hard rock veterans TESLA will release a new album called "Homage" in July via Frontiers Music Srl. The effort, which will showcase TESLA frontman Jeff Keith singing covers of soul and R&B classics, will include a new TESLA song, "Never Alone".
TESLA guitarist Frank Hannon discussed the upcoming LP in a new interview with Evan Toth. He said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "TESLA is releasing an album of R&B classics that showcase our lead singer's voice, singing Sam Cooke and Etta James and James Brown. It's called 'Homage'. And that album is gonna come out in July. It's a very interesting record, and it's got some really cool songs on it, as well as a new TESLA song called 'Never Alone'."
During a November 2025 appearance on SiriusXM's "Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk", Hannon confirmed that he and his TESLA bandmates were slowly working on a new covers project. Regarding their inspiration for making a covers album, Hannon told host Eddie Trunk: "Well, you were talking about [TESLA frontman] Jeff Keith being a singer who can still sing compared to a lot of our other comrades from our era. And so we're doing a collection of songs that showcase Jeff Keith's singing ability. And it's coming out really great, man. Some really obscure classic songs that you would not expect to hear from TESLA. And it's centered around his ability to sing and his soulfulness in his voice. [TESLA bassist] Brian Wheat has been working really hard at producing it. These guys were just in the studio for a week. I did some recording in [Las] Vegas in my hotel room with Jeff, and we're working on it. It's a work in progress."
Hannon went on to say that the upcoming covers project will include TESLA's version of SUPERTRAMP's "Give a Little Bit", which he and his bandmates have been performing live at some of their recent concerts. "That's one of the new ones we're doing," he said. "And we're doing another version of [CLIMAX BLUES BAND's] 'I Love You', which got millions of views on TESLA's Spotify, I think, or YouTube or something. So that's almost like one of our own hits, is the song 'I Love You'. But there's some really obscure tracks on this new batch of recordings — songs by THE TEMPTATIONS… Jeff picked most of 'em. And Brian, like I said, Brian's been spearheading this project."
TESLA will support MÖTLEY CRÜE as part of this summer's "The Return Of Carnival Of Sins" tour. Additional support will come from EXTREME.
Last October, TESLA completed a five-song Las Vegas residency at the House Of Blues Las Vegas inside Mandalay Bay Resort And Casino. During this exclusive run of shows, TESLA touched all sides of its unique discography, including the heavier edge of electric songs like "Modern Day Cowboy", "Hang Tough" and "Edison's Medicine", as well as the band's acoustic-driven songs such as "Signs" and "Love Song" (two Top 10 Billboard-charting hits).
TESLA previously held a residency at the House Of Blues in April 2024.
TESLA's latest six-song EP, "All About Love", was released in November 2024. The EP included four versions of "All About Love" (acoustic, electric, hybrid, live); a live version of "Walk Away", a concert favorite from "Reel To Real, Vol. 1"; and another new song, "From The Heart", an instrumental track by Hannon.
Some fans criticized TESLA for adopting a 1980s-style polished production for its latest album, 2019's "Shock". The follow-up to June 2014's "Simplicity" was helmed by DEF LEPPARD guitarist Phil Collen, whose own group is no stranger to slicked-up, glossy-sounding recordings.
In September 2023, TESLA released the official music video for its cover of AEROSMITH's "S.O.S. (Too Bad)". The song was a bonus track on TESLA's live album, "Full Throttle Live!", which arrived in May 2023. The LP included the band's "Time To Rock!" single, plus other songs, all recorded in August 2022 at Full Throttle Saloon in Sturgis, South Dakota.
In September 2021, original TESLA drummer Troy Luccketta announced that he would "take a little time from the road" to spend with family and friends. He has since been replaced at TESLA's gigs and in the recording studio by Steve Brown, the younger brother of former DOKKEN drummer Mick Brown.
TESLA's debut album, 1986's "Mechanical Resonance", went platinum on the strength of the hits "Modern Day Cowboy" and "Little Suzi". The 1989 follow-up album, "The Great Radio Controversy", produced five hits, including "Heaven's Trail (No Way Out)" and "Love Song", which hit the pop Top Ten.

RUSH's GEDDY LEE On ANIKA NILLES: 'She's Just Been Perfect For Us'Ontario, Canada radio station 92.9 The Grand has shared video of the entire press conference RUSH's Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson held after the band's comeback performance at Sunday's (March 29) Juno Awards in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. You can watch the question-and-answer session below.
The Canadian progressive rock legends opened the ceremony with a performance of the song "Finding My Way" from their debut album. The event also served as an official introduction to the new RUSH drummer Anika Nilles, stepping in for Neil Peart, who died in 2020.
Speaking about what it has been like to play with Anika, Lee said: "We've been rehearsing with her, on and off, for about a year now. And now it's very comfortable, and she's expressing her personality, which is nice to see, because she's a fantastic person, lovely, easy to work with and really deeply talented. So we consider ourselves so fortunate, because she was really the only drummer we tried to work with, and she's just been perfect for us. And she fires us up too. She's a bonus."
Lee added he thinks Peart would approve of RUSH's choice of a new drummer in Nilles, a German drummer who toured with legendary guitarist Jeff Beck in 2022 and has been rehearsing with Lee and Lifeson in preparation for RUSH's upcoming tour, dubbed "Fifty Something".
"Neil is irreplaceable," Geddy said. "And if he had something to say to us right now, he'd probably say, 'You guys are idiots.' But music lives beyond tragedy, beyond anything that can happen in your life. One thing we've learned over the last 10 years is that music is still a part of us, and so to play it now with someone as young and exciting as Anika, it's just another tribute to him. I think he'd be very pleased with our choice of drummer, and I think he would have a bit of a smirk on his face. A thumbs up, I hope."
Nilles reflected her first rehearsal sessions with Lee and Lifeson in the new issue of Classic Rock magazine. She said: "I had a few songs prepared before I flew over, and we played those. But during the session, we also talked a lot about Neil — about his view on music and drumming. We spoke a great deal about the feel of the songs. The most important point is simply to capture the feeling — that it feels right for the two of them to play their music again. And ultimately, it will feel right for the fans as well. We talked about that a lot. The first session was really about getting to know each other and seeing how we function together."
Keyboardist Loren Gold, who will also join RUSH on its upcoming tour, rounded out the group's lineup for the Juno Awards appearance, which can be seen below.
Lee and Lifeson's first official shows under the RUSH banner in 11 years will begin in June at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, site of the last RUSH concert on the legendary Canadian band's "R40" anniversary tour.
The 2026 leg of the "Fifty Something" tour, which will cover Canada, USA and Mexico, initially consisted of 22 dates, which sold out immediately, prompting the addition of more shows. The tour now totals 58 shows across 24 cities, with over half a million tickets sold for 2026.
In February, RUSH announced the addition of South America and Europe tour dates to the "Fifty Something" tour, in early 2027. The dates will be the first time the band has played in Europe since 2013 and 17 years since visiting South America.
Performing 24 shows across 13 European countries, these special "evening with" shows will find the band playing two sets each night. Each show will feature a distinct selection of songs and RUSH will build each night's setlist from a catalog of more than 40 songs, including their greatest hits and fan favorites.
Last month, Geddy told Darren Redick of U.K.'s Planet Rock about RUSH's decision to tour again: "What started this whole thing is [Alex and I] started jamming, and the jams were kind of interesting, but in the middle of it, after we sort of got tired of jamming, we said, 'Well, let's play a RUSH song.' And then it changed the subject. So we got to the point with that where it was either we're going to follow through on this or we're never gonna talk about it again, because you can caught in this thing, 'Shall we? Shall we not? Shall we? Shall we not?' And for me, it was, we're not getting any younger. If we're gonna do it, let's do it now, or let's just not do it."
Regarding how Nilles ended up joining RUSH's touring lineup, Geddy said: "My bass tech Skully [John McIntosh] — he hates when I tell this story, but he had been on tour with Jeff Beck; he worked for Jeff Beck for the last three, four tours before [Jeff] sadly passed away. And on the last tour, there was a drummer, Anika Nilles. And he came back from that tour just raving about how great she was and how nice she was. And he said, 'Well, if you ever decide to do a solo project or something with Al, think about it.' So here it was. I had done some investigation about her — I'd watched her videos and listened to her play — and she's deeply talented. And so I brought her up to Al, and he went out and did his own research on her and came back and said, 'Wow, she's great.' So we just arranged a Zoom call with her, and it went really well. And we said, 'Would you come to Canada very quietly and jam with us for a few days and play a few RUSH songs and see how that goes?' She said, 'Sure, I'd love to.' And that's how it all began. And by the end of five days, we sort of had a drummer."
Asked what the "challenges" are of putting the "Fifty Something" tour together, Alex said: "We always rehearsed a lot, and in the past we would rehearse on our own individually for maybe a month, and then we would get together and rehearse for a month, and then we'd do a couple of weeks, full-production rehearsals in a venue. So by the time you hit the stage on the first show, you're seasoned; it's like the 20th show. The difference this time around is that we're rehearsing for about a year — seriously — before the [first] show. We just really wanna be at our absolute peak by the time we start the tour in earnest."
Geddy added: "And it's a lot for Anika to take on. Even though we're rusty on some songs, they're lying in the grooves in the brain somewhere, and it comes back. But she's starting from scratch. And she's starting from scratch trying to fill the shoes of a guy whose shoes are impossible to fill. So she has her work cut out for her. But she's incredibly, deeply talented, both technically and from a musical knowledge standpoint. She's got a fantastic work ethic. She's easy to be around. She's a great person, and she's ready to take on the inevitable scrutiny of RUSH fans. And so far they've been very welcoming, they've been very warm, and she's really appreciative of that."
Peart died in January 2020 after a three-year battle with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. He was 67 years old.RUSH waited three days to announce Peart's passing, setting off shockwaves and an outpouring of grief from fans and musicians all over the world.

BLAZE BAYLEY Added To IRON MAIDEN's EDDFEST; Will Play MAIDEN Set From His EraIRON MAIDEN's highly anticipated Eddfest weekend this summer has just got even bigger with the announcement that Blaze Bayley, who fronted the band from 1994 to 1999, will be headlining the Friday night Maidenville stage. He is the latest name to be revealed, as part of the all-encompassing celebration of IRON MAIDEN's 50th anniversary that will be taking place on the iconic Knebworth site.
"I'm so excited to be invited to headline Friday night at Eddfest, celebrating 50 years of IRON MAIDEN," says Blaze. "I am so proud of my two albums with the band and I'm really looking forward to playing some of the songs that we recorded together. Can't wait to see you all at the hallowed grounds of Knebworth!"
Fans can expect to hear Blaze Bayley and his band deliver a powerful set of songs from "The X Factor" and "Virtual XI", the albums he released during his time as IRON MAIDEN's lead singer. Blaze co-wrote some of the songs on those albums with band founder Steve Harris, and Friday night's Maidenville stage has been personally curated by Steve Harris to showcase many elements of his musical career.
Steve has also invited GYPSY'S KISS, the band he formed in 1974 with singer and guitarist David Smith, to perform on the Maidenville stage on Friday night too. As the very first band Steve Harris ever played with they were an instrumental part of Steve's journey to form IRON MAIDEN a year later and create one of the most iconic rock bands of all time.
Steve Harris says: "Having the opportunity to put together our very own festival at Knebworth, and celebrate 50 years of IRON MAIDEN, has given me a chance to bring together friends past and present and create a really special weekend for the fans.
"I'm very pleased that Blaze is able to join us and perform some of the songs we wrote and recorded in the '90s. He has been a big part of IRON MAIDEN's career and I know the fans will be really excited to see him on stage at Eddfest. It's also great to have GYPSY'S KISS playing with us at Knebworth too. They were a big part of my musical heritage and it's really exciting to have them play at the Maidenville stage."

Eddfest is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience what constitutes IRON MAIDEN's idea of a fun-filled 48 hours of entertainment, themed areas and bars, experiences, live music and more. Inside Eddfest fans will be able to explore the Infinite Dreams Museum Experience, a walk-through display of stage props and relics, inspired by Sunday Times bestseller book "Infinite Dreams". This is an unprecedented and completely unique opportunity to view MAIDEN relics up close and personal.
The Eddfest festival starts from 2 p.m. on Friday with camping included for both nights. Various parts of the Maidenville site will be open to weekend campers throughout Friday afternoon and into the early hours of Saturday morning, including the Infinite Dreams Museum Experience.
Friday Night at Eddfest is all about fun before the big day. Campers will be able to gain early access to the site and experiences, including first access to the Infinite Dreams Museum Experience. They will also enjoy a whole evening of entertainment on the Maidenville stage featuring the unique mix of special acts with a connection to MAIDEN.
Saturday sees the opening of the Main Arena, which includes Eddie's Extended Emporium, the Trooper VIP area and a range of interactive experiences. Saturday-only tickets also allow access to Maidenville, where fans can join in the fun at the greatest Eddie's Dive Bar yet, enjoy the Infinite Dreams Museum Experience, take part in the Unfair Funfair, featuring rides and demented Eddie-themed Funfair Games, plus explore Eddie's Emporium, with even more surprises to explore throughout the site.
It all culminates with the main stage performances on the Saturday, featuring an exceptional supporting line-up, ahead of IRON MAIDEN's show-stopping "Run For Your Lives" performance.
Eddfest is going to be a truly exceptional weekend for each and every MAIDEN fan in attendance — an unforgettable chance to be part of a fully themed festival experience, celebrating IRON MAIDEN's spectacular 50-year career… and the last chance to see them in the U.K. until at least 2028.
Camping tickets are separate to the event tickets and available to purchase in parallel.
MAIDEN manager Rod Smallwood explains: "After the monumental shows in the U.K. last year, we knew that if we were going to play the U.K. in 2026, it had to be very different. So we chose Knebworth Park as it gives us the space required — which is just not available in stadiums — to put together something groundbreaking for our fans by creating a 'MAIDEN world' for them. We are excited to now reveal the details of this one-off event to celebrate the band's 50-year career, which we are now calling Eddfest, because, as everyone knows, Eddie is the true star of the show! We also know MAIDEN fans are basically a huge gang and we want to give them a weekend to remember at Knebworth.
"For the last couple of tours we have been arranging the Eddie Dive Bars for our fans, both pre- and post-show. Some of these took over the entire centres of towns with thousands of fans gathered there enjoying the fun, the music and each other's company. So Eddfest is going to expand on that concept in a huge variety of ways, to create a truly unmissable 'MAIDEN world' over the whole weekend!
"There will be a whole host of great music, great beer (of course!),lots of exciting and varied fun things to do, great souvenirs and merch, some unique and fantastic photo opportunities to create unbeatable MAIDEN memories, and of course, the true camaraderie that comes from being a MAIDEN fan."
Kilimanjaro promoters Stuart Galbraith and Alan Day, the creators of Sonisphere, add: "MAIDEN have a different view on how they want to do things for their fans than most bands. We previously worked with them at Sonisphere and when they explained what they wanted to do for this show we were hooked. It will be a unique event. A celebration of the Eddie-verse, if you will: a curated Friday afternoon, night and all day Saturday, finishing with the last U.K. show MAIDEN will play until at least 2028!
"Creating something like that, which will include a once-in-a-lifetime Infinite Dreams museum experience, featuring a wide range of rarely-seen memorabilia from throughout their history, a MAIDEN-themed fun fair, the biggest Eddie's Dive Bar ever with some extra special additions and surprises, plus the ability to camp, glamp or park a motorhome on site for the Friday and Saturday night show in a specially created 'village' space with MAIDEN alumni, friends and our perfect partners Planet Rock — well, it was a chance not to be missed!"
We’re excited to announce that Blaze Bayley will headline the Maidenville stage on Friday night at EddFest this...

DISTURBED Guitarist DAN DONEGAN Puts Illinois Home On Market For $1.575 MillionDISTURBED guitarist Dan Donegan has put his home in Orland Park, Illinois on the market for $1.575 million. According to public records, the 57-year-old musician bought the 7,000-square-foot house in March 2023 for $1.3 million.
On March 28, Dan shared a few photos of the house and he included the following message: "I'm selling my home!!!!!! 3 yrs was enough for me & it's time to move on. Lots of great memories & parties here but I'm going back to the OG & those backyard parties. 10 minutes away, lol! I'm gonna be splitting my time between the Glen and Sarasota, Florida."
He added: "I had to re-edit this, so let me be clear, Illinois is still home, I'm going back to Homer Glen & I'll still be here 80%. I just got a place to escape too from time to time & experience the salt life & the sun. I already got my place and headed down next week to pick out furniture, discover new places & meet new people. #florida #theglen #newchapter".
Earlier today (Monday, March 30),Dan shared a video of his property, and he wrote: "My home in Illinois is for sale! Just 40 minutes south of Chicago. Many showings already that happened over the weekend. This will go fast".
Donegan's divorce inspired the song "Don't Tell Me" on the latest DISTURBED album, 2022's "Divisive". The track, which is a duet with HEART's Ann Wilson, broke ground as the first-ever guest collaboration on a DISTURBED record.
"It was very personal to me," Dan previously said. "I was going through my divorce, and I wanted to touch on the fact I was in a very long marriage to a wonderful woman. She's a great mother to my kids. We were together for 18 years. Even though the marriage was in a tough spot, it was hard to leg go, because we'd invested so much into each other. I felt like listeners could relate to it."
More than four years ago, DISTURBED singer David Draiman and his then-wife and son moved to Miami, Florida after living in Honolulu, Hawaii for a few years.
DISTURBED released a new single, "I Will Not Break", in February 2025 via the band's own label, Mother Culture Records.
In October 2025, Donegan said that he and his DISTURBED bandmates would "take quite a bit of time off [in 2026]". The 57-year-old musician made his comments just two days after Draiman wrote on X (formerly Twitter) that he wasn't sure when the group would tour again, explaining, "We all need a nice long break."

ADRIAN SMITH: 'Even People Who Don't Really Know About IRON MAIDEN Might Be Interested' In Upcoming Official DocumentaryIn a new interview with Igor Miranda of Rolling Stone Brasil, IRON MAIDEN guitarist Adrian Smith spoke about the band's upcoming feature documentary, titled "Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition", which will hit theaters for a limited time only beginning May 7, 2026. Asked how the idea came about to give the voice to the MAIDEN fans a voice as part of the film's narrative, Adrian said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "Well, right off the bat, it was nothing to do with IRON MAIDEN. The film company approached the management and talked about it. We are not actually in the film being interviewed like this. It's just our kind of voices on top of the narration, which I think is kind of cool. We haven't done it before. There's a few things in there that haven't been covered."
Adrian continued: "It's lovely to have a document, personally, to look back and have it laid out in the film, I thought it'd be uncomfortable for me to watch, because actors and people like that, when they see themselves on a big screen, it's, like, 'Oh, my god.' But I actually quite enjoyed it, and I think the fans are gonna gonna love it. And maybe even people who don't really know about MAIDEN might be interested in it, because it is a phenomenon, what's happened to us over the years. And it's been great to be a part of it, a part of the ride, really."
Earlier this month, Smith told Gastão Moreira of Brazil's Kazagastão about "Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition": :I really enjoyed it, which might sound funny, but when there's something on a big screen about you, it can be a bit — you wanna hide behind the chairs. But I think it's a good document of the band, and I think fans will enjoy it. There's a few things in there that have never come to light before, and it goes into depth on a few things. So I think people are really gonna enjoy it."
Smith also talked about the "Iron Maiden: Infinite Dreams - The Official Visual History", book which was published globally in hardback in autumn 2025. A magnificent visual celebration of the first 50 years of IRON MAIDEN, the book chronicles the evolution of one of heavy metal's most prestigious groups, with unparalleled input from bandmembers and management.
"I love some of the old photos," Adrian said. "It's almost like a different life back in the '80s when I was in the band, a different person. But I love the stuff in it, like [MAIDEN founder] Steve Harris's diary, talking about getting just a couple of bucks to do a show and having to buy guitar strings and petrol and counting all the pennies. Stuff like that is priceless. It's great that he's kept that stuff."
Asked if he thinks that he and singer Bruce Dickinson took IRON MAIDEN to another level when they joined the band, Adrian told Kazagastão: "I can't really talk about myself, but Bruce definitely did, because as much as we love [former IRON MAIDEN singer] Paul [Di'Anno], I don't think he had the same mindset as Bruce, the same determination to succeed, commitment. Bruce was all about commitment and professionalism, and he could sing night after night after night. And that's what the band needed to do. They needed to go on the road — they needed to go on the road for six, eight months at a stretch. And that's what rock bands have to do. No one's gonna hand them success with, 'Okay, we'll play you on the radio. You'll be stars.' There's none of that."
He continued: "As far as myself, yeah, I've, I've been a part of it. I think we all worked hard to get to another level. Maybe, hopefully my contributions, writing-wise, helped. A lot of the singles that we used, 'Flight Of Icarus' and 'Wasted Years' and stuff like that, were my ideas, my songs — '2 Minutes To Midnight' — co-writes, really. So, I feel like I hopefully contributed in that way, or do contribute."
Directed by Malcolm Venville ("Churchill At War") and produced by Dominic Freeman ("Spirits In The Forest - A Depeche Mode Film"), "Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition" charts IRON MAIDEN's remarkable five‑decade journey.
Alongside the band, the documentary features on‑camera reflections from prominent admirers, including Javier Bardem, Lars Ulrich and Chuck D, each speaking to IRON MAIDEN's influence on music, culture and generations of fans worldwide.
Formed in East London in 1975, IRON MAIDEN has grown into one of the world's most influential and enduring rock bands. Across 50 years they have released 17 studio albums, sold over 100 million records, and performed almost 2,500 concerts across 64 countries.
The documentary arrives as the band continues its two-year "Run For Your Lives" world tour, which included a triumphant homecoming performance at London Stadium a short distance from where it all began five decades ago.
A recently announced, one-of-a-kind, celebration named EddFest in historic Knebworth Park, England, on July 11 forms part of over 50 shows worldwide in 2026.
IRON MAIDEN was founded in 1975 by bassist Steve Harris and has grown to become one of the world's most celebrated bands. With a steady recording output beginning with their self-titled 1980 debut, they have released 17 studio albums, 13 live albums and 47 singles which have sold in excess of 100 million copies worldwide. They have played almost 2,500 live shows across 64 countries and were carried to some of these aboard Ed Force One, a Boeing 757 and then later a 747 piloted by singer Bruce Dickinson. They have been the recipients of a Grammy Award and a Brit Award, among many other accolades, most recently joining THE ROLLING STONES and PINK FLOYD with their very own Royal Mail stamp set. Their beer, Trooper Beer, is now in its twelfth year and has sold in excess of 40 million pints and is distributed in 68 countries, including six local variants in USA, Germany, Brazil, Spain, Sweden and Australia. 2025 marked the band's official 50th year and is being celebrated by a two-year world tour titled "Run For Your Lives" and a range of events and products including their first-ever official hardcover visual history book, the aforementioned "Infinite Dreams". 15

SEPULTURA Shares New Song 'Beyond The Dream' From Upcoming 'The Cloud Of Unknowing' Farewell EPBrazilian/American metallers SEPULTURA will release a new EP, "The Cloud Of Unknowing", on April 24 via Nuclear Blast Records. Described in a press release as "one of SEPULTURA's most diverse and emotionally resonant releases", the four-song "The Cloud Of Unknowing" EP "serves as a bittersweet farewell, showcasing the full spectrum of the band's creativity, reflecting both the ferocity and depth that have defined SEPULTURA's legacy."
The EP's second single, the deeply resonant "Beyond The Dream", can be streamed below.
"Beyond The Dream" emerges as one of the most emblematic moments of SEPULTURA's final chapter, serving as a poetic reflection of a journey shaped by decades of albums, tours, and life on the road. This previously unreleased composition fulfills a long-standing desire of the band to explore the ballad format, blending SEPULTURA's identity with the melodic sensitivity of renowned collaborators. To bring this project to life, SEPULTURA enlisted the essential collaboration of Sérgio Britto and Tony Bellotto of TITÃS — musicians who share a long history with the band and are widely recognized as specialists in the genre, as well as composers of classics such as "Polícia".
The result of a direct partnership between members of SEPULTURA and TITÃS, the song celebrates the connection between artists who share the stage and a deep passion for creation. The outcome is a piece that brings great satisfaction to everyone involved, establishing itself as both an emotional and historical milestone featured on the band's final EP, released in this very year that marks SEPULTURA's official farewell.
When the EP's first single, "The Place", was released in late February, SEPULTURA vocalist Derrick Green commented: "This song deals with immigrants who have come to a place seeking refuge and start a new life. Once assimilated into a false sense of security and relentless propaganda, they began to act out against what they hate about themselves. The transition begins to escape from the self-hatred and the lashing out against people who believed in the same ideas. I feel the lyrics truly follow the transitions of the song. Starting with disappointment and arriving at anger."
"The Cloud Of Unknowing" EP will be available in the following formats:
* Oxblood
* Transparent Petrol (Nuclear Blast exclusive)

Last year, SEPULTURA guitarist Andreas Kisser spoke about plans to release new music with the SEPULTURA's current touring drummer, 23-year-old Greyson Nekrutman, who officially replaced the group's longtime drummer Eloy Casagrande in February 2024. He said at the time: "We recorded four new songs with Greyson on drums. I don't think nobody knows that, but there we go. We have four new songs, and we have the intention, next year, to release an EP, just to celebrate this momentum. It's original songs that we worked [out]. It's already recorded and everything, and we're taking our time, really, to see where it's gonna be the good time to do it."
Regarding how the new SEPULTURA material came about, Andreas said: "It was very spontaneous. We had a situation that we played the 70000 Tons Of Metal [cruise in January 2025] and we stayed in Miami. 'We have this studio. We have a few ideas. Okay, let's do it.' [Laughs] And it was great. No pressure from labels, no due date… But it's great… We did it in our time with no rush… And it's great. Because of the farewell [tour] idea, we can do that as well, to plan something like that, or not plan something like that, plan as less that we can to really to challenge ourselves artistically to work something like that."
Asked if SEPULTURA's decision to embark on a two-and-a-half-year farewell tour was motivated in any way by his desire to explore other styles of music away from extreme metal, Andreas said: "I never felt kind of locked in the SEPULTURA world to write [in a specific style]. We were always very fearless to do whatever we want. I mean, 'Nation' is a very different album, 'A-Lex', all those albums that were inspired by books and stuff. It is, I think, more of the routine of being in a band like SEPULTURA. 40 years — 40 years, man. Have you ever done something for 40 years, like your job? Think about it. [Laughs] It's an amazing achievement inside the entertainment business to have such a band for so long, and ups and downs, to have a following. Every time we were doing albums, we were playing, we had a deal with the record label, regardless of the formation, regardless of the time we were. We played for 10 people, then we were back to play big places and stuff. It's a beautiful history. It's a beautiful history of art and life. And I was kind of feeling to get in that mode of doing another album, doing another tour, it's kind of too predictable. I mean, an artist has to be not in the comfort zone. If you're there, you're fucked, because you're going to lose touch with reality. You're gonna start living in this bubble of what SEPULTURA should be. There's no 'should'. There's a new SEPULTURA every day. We can do anything we want, musically wise, because we conquered that. SEPULTURA is this. It is not thrash metal. It's not heavy metal. It's not dark metal. It's not Brazilian metal. It's SEPULTURA metal. That's why we have a name, right? [Laughs] Otherwise, why have a name? This is SEPULTURA. That's what we are — very free. We're not scared or to take risks. Art is risks. If you do something new, you're gonna take risks. There's no other way. And that's where you learn, with your mistakes or with your errors and your everything. But it's great to stop in a great momentum without fighting, without an external factor breaking up this band. It's our own terms. We chose that very peacefully, a conscious decision. We took two years talking about working out, preparing this, and now we enjoying ourselves. It's amazing. And why not? I mean, it's a privilege to have that, to have that possibility, to stop while we can or to stop in this momentum. And then the future is the future. Let's see. [Laughs]"
Kisser also once again spoke about what SEPULTURA's final concert might look like. He said: "The idea is to do it around October 2026 in São Paulo, Brazil. A big SEPUL-fest type of show, a party with bands that are important. And as a part of SEPULTURA's history, we like to invite every member that was a part of SEPULTURA, including the Cavalera brothers [Max and Igor], to be a part of the concert, to play, to jam. I mean, it's totally irrelevant to discuss the past, who is right, who is wrong. We're never gonna get to a point — we're gonna have two different views of it, and that's fine. This is irrelevant. Let's jam for the fans, to ourselves, to our families [who had] never seen us together. But not only them — Jairo [Guedz], Eloy Casagrande, Jean Patton and Roy Mayorga, musicians that were a part of SEPULTURA in very specific and important moments that kept SEPULTURA flowing and going regardless of our problems and our challenges that we had. So hopefully that will happen. They are gonna be invited. If you wanna be a part of this party, you are welcome. If not, that's fine."
SEPULTURA kicked off its farewell tour on March 1, 2024 at Arena Hall in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. The sold-out show marked the band's debut performance with Nekrutman, who previously played with SUICIDAL TENDENCIES.
SEPULTURA announced Casagrande's departure on February 27, 2024, explaining in a statement that he was leaving to join "another project", with Eloy later confirming that he was the new drummer of SLIPKNOT.
The news of Eloy's exit from SEPULTURA came just two months after the band announced it would celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2024 by embarking on a "farewell tour" which will cover the entire globe.
In SEPULTURA's statement, the remaining bandmembers expressed their shock over Casagrande's departure, saying they were "taken by surprise" that their now-former drummer would "abandon everything related to SEPULTURA" less than a month prior to the start of the tour.
SEPULTURA is putting together a live album commemorating its last run of shows. The band is recording 40 songs in 40 different cities for what will be a "massive compilation of our best, most energetic moments on stage," according to a statement released by SEPULTURA in December 2023.
The final North American leg of SEPULTURA's "Celebrating Life Through Death" tour will feature support from thrash legends EXODUS, hardcore heavyweights BIOHAZARD, and newcomers TRIBAL GAZE. The trek will kick off on April 29 in Montclair, New Jersey and will visit major cities across the U.S. and Canada, including Montreal, Detroit, Chicago, Denver, and Los Angeles, before concluding on May 29 at The Wiltern in Los Angeles. Along the way, SEPULTURA will also perform at major festivals, including Welcome To Rockville and Sonic Temple. 10
