MOB RULES Release "Ghost Of A Chance" Single; Music Video StreamingGermany's Mob Rules have released a new digital single and video for the song "Ghost Of A Chance", taken from their forthcoming studio album Beast Reborn.
Singer Klaus Dirks explains: "The song arose spontaneously more from a gut-feeling, than from the head. Playing straight ahead, very rhythmic with gripping arrangement, it gets to the point quickly and efficiently. The motifs of the song are presented very strongly without losing themselves. Content-wise the song tells about leaving the past behind to dare a new beginning after everything old has broken apart. It is not certain what will happen. There is the "ghost of a chance" that everything will get worse or better. It's just the exciting thing that you don't know what lies ahead."
Beast Reborn will be released on August 24th via SPV/Steamhammer on CD digipak, 2LP gatefold (incl. 1 bonus track), limited boxset (incl. CD, 2LP, towel, hand-signed photo card, 2 track bonus CD, patch, sticker etc.), download and stream. Pre-order here.
"Beast Reborn is a great album filled with catchy tunes that will stick with you. Fans of melodic metal should definitely check this one out!" - Jens Bogren (Fascination Street Studios)
Energetic, massive, focussed - that’s how Mob Rules appear on their new album. The success of their previous album Tales From Beyond was the impetus being used by the six rockers to bundle their energies and produce this new and very straightforward album. With dense sound, straightforward songs and the familiar big melodies, Mob Rules go directly to the listener’s ears. Rough and fast-paced they move across the roots of metal, to haunting, modern compositions, which makes their sound more fresh and up-to-date than ever.
New band member Sönke Janssen also has a hand in this: Being the new second guitarist he expands and completes Mob Rules’ sound spectrum. Not only within the band things are moving, they also get input from outside: Jens Bogren took over mastering. He works with great artists like Kreator and Amorphis at his Fascination Street Studios in Sweden. Bogren is a real guarantor for a punchy sound. Sebastian “Seeb” Levermann (Orden Ogan) is responsible for most of the choirs and yet again accountable for the mix of the album is Markus Teske.
Mob Rules take full advantage of their potential and show their strength precise and focussed. With Beast Reborn, Mob Rules draw the logical consequence of their progress
and at the same time dare to experiment with new things.

SARCÓFAGO – The Worst To Be Reissued On Vinyl, CassetteGreyhaze Records has announced the August 24th reissue of Sarcófago's The Worst on vinyl and cassette formats. The reintroduction of this classic album for the first time on vinyl and tape, complementing the already-existing CD version, comes with massive audio and visual improvements. The album's audio went through a high-quality remastering process, including audio sourced from original master tapes. The Worst's reissue also comes with an expanded visual package including previously unavailable photos from the album's photo session.
Originally released in 1996, Sarcófago's The Worst was to be the band's last full-length album. Despite criticism on its use of a drum machine, the album serves as a manifest of metal's elemental counter-culture stance. It was a spit in the face of the then emergent rise of canned, subpar versions of heavy music such as grunge and nu metal.
Sarcófago's The Worst is so much more than the cheap criticism it has received over the years. It is one of the most cherished offerings by the band and a clear symbol that despite attacks on its very essence, true Metal cannot be tamed or boxed into a palatable package. True metal should be wild, non-conforming, bizarre satanic noise.
Tracklisting:
“The End (Intro)”
“The Worst”
“Army Of The Damned (The Prozac’s Generation)”
“God Bless The Whores”
“Plunged In Blood”
“Satanic Lust”

MOTOROWL Launch “To Take” Single, VideoPsychedelic doom rockers, Motorowl, have launched a video for their new single “To Take” off their upcoming album Atlas, which will be released on July 27th through Century Media Records.
The band comments, "‘To Take’ is an ode to our own freedom. This is a story of letting people be the way they feel right, even if you have to take something from you. Again we put riffs and feelings together to a song that sounds like us. Be nice to each other. Don’t kill each other.”
The single “To Take” will be offered as an Instant Grat Track with all digital album preorders.
The band comments on the songwriting and recording process:
“We started writing Atlas right after the release of Om Generator to stay in the flow. Also we played a lot of concerts during the process of writing, so we were constantly playing the old songs live while we were writing the new material at the same time. We realized that the live feeling is an essential part of our music, so we decided to record the whole album live altogether as a full band in the studio.
“And when you do such live recordings, you need the perfect partner, engineer and a place where you feel comfy. We found all that at Off The Road Studios in Leipzig. It’s a marvelous place with a big library in the main studio, a fireplace and a lot of room. We met there with our friend Charlie Paschen (who works with bands like Coogans Bluff or Rotor) to record the album within ten days. The decision to let Mr. Dan Swanö do the mix and mastering again was easy. He simply knows how we have to sound like.
“Atlas combines the pain in our chests with the indestructible force that we have as a band to make this music together. We wanted to mash the power of synth driven ‘80s rock hymns with the deep crushing slowness of a doom riff. Atlas was written by the whole band and that’s the deep essence of our music: Five very different guys who work together like a clockwork.”
The artwork was created by Pol Abram (Branca Studio).

“Infinite Logbook”
“The Man Who Rules The World”
“Atlas”
“To Give”
“To Take”
“Cargo”
“Norma Jean”

SOULFLY To Release 'Ritual' Album In The Fall; Listen To New Song 'The Summoning'SOULFLY has set "Ritual" as the title of its new album, tentatively due in October via Nuclear Blast. The follow-up to 2015's "Archangel" was recorded with producer Josh Wilbur, who has previously worked with LAMB OF GOD, GOJIRA and ALL THAT REMAINS, among others.
Fan-filmed video footage of SOULFLY performing a new song called "The Summoning", which will appear on "Ritual", on June 28 in Zwolle, Netherlands can be seen below.
Max recently told PureGrainAudio about "Ritual": "I know musicians [always] say their new record is their favorite, but [this new] SOULFLY [album] really hits home, man, because it's got a little of everything that I really love about SOULFLY. It's got some of the tribal elements back in the groove, and it's got a lot of fast stuff. It's almost like a 'tribal thrash' record, which is kind of… it's never been done before. So it's a real political and spiritual [album mixed] with tribal [and] thrash [sounds]. The tribal grooves go right in hand with fast thrash, death metal stuff. So it's pretty cool, man. I think people are gonna be turned up when they hear the new SOULFLY."
Max told Jack Antonio that the new SOULFLY album would include "a song about a Navajo murder that happened on a Navajo reservation — the police killed this young girl and I was really intrigued with the whole story and we made a song out of it," he said.
As for the disc's musical direction, Max said that it has "a little bit of a 'Chaos A.D.' [SEPULTURA] kind of feeling to it — that kind of groove, but also [with elements of] thrash. It's a contemporary record — it feels like it's done right now. I'm really stoked on it. I think it does kind of have that classic 'Chaos A.D.' feeling to it, which is great; I think it's really cool to have that kind of feeling on the record."
Max also praised his SOULFLY bandmates' contributions to the new album, saying: "Marc Rizzo [SOULFLY guitarist] is doing some amazing guitar stuff. All the players — Zyon [Cavalera, Max's son and SOULFLY drummer] did a great job on the drums. I tried really hard to have different topics and different lyrics, so my vocals are a bit different and I'm touching different subjects on the album. So all that together makes it into something special." 9

Watch PHILIP ANSELMO Dedicate PANTERA's 'Slaughtered' To VINNIE PAUL At Denmark's ROSKILDE FestivalPhilip Anselmo dedicated a cover of the PANTERA classic "Slaughtered" to Vinnie Paul Abbott during Saturday night's (July 7) SCOUR concert at the Roskilde festival in Roskilde, Denmark. Anselmo simply stated, "Listen to me very closely: This is for Vince," before launching into the song from PANTERA's 1994 album "Far Beyond Driven", widely considered the heaviest metal record to ever reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Video footage of the performance can be seen below.
SCOUR previously performed "Slaughtered" as a tribute to Vinnie Paul two nights earlier (Thursday, July 5) at the Baltimore Soundstage in Baltimore, Maryland,
SCOUR is the extreme metal supergroup featuring Anselmo alongside John Jarvis (PIG DESTROYER, AGORAPHOBIC NOSEBLEED), Derek Engemann (ex-CATTLE DECAPITATION), Mark Kloeppel (MISERY INDEX), and Adam Jarvis (PIG DESTROYER, MISERY INDEX).
A video message from the Anselmo was played at the public memorial for Vinnie Paul. It marked the first time the ex-PANTERA singer publicly commented on his former bandmate's death.
The event, which was held on July 1 at Bomb Factory in Dallas, Texas, included emotional tributes from a number of Abbott's fellow musicians, some of whom appeared in person while others sent short video speeches expressing their affection for the fallen PANTERA and HELLYEAH drummer.
Anselmo's tribute was a few seconds long and saw him speaking in his trademark deep voice. "Vince, always have love in my heart for you, man," he said. "Rest in peace."
Vinnie Paul and his brother "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott co-founded PANTERA. When PANTERA broke up in 2003, they formed DAMAGEPLAN. On December 8, 2004, while performing with DAMAGEPLAN at the Alrosa Villa in Columbus, Ohio, Dimebag was shot and killed onstage by a troubled schizophrenic who believed that the members of PANTERA were stealing his thoughts.
Up until his death, Vinnie remained on non-speaking terms with Anselmo.
Vinnie and Anselmo's relationship got more acrimonious when Vinnie indirectly blamed Philip for Dimebag's death, suggesting that some remarks the vocalist had made about Dimebag in print just weeks earlier might have incited Dimebag's killer.
Back in October 2016, Vinnie Paul said in an interview that it was "sad" to see Anselmo doing "a lot of things" that have tarnished PANTERA's image in the decade and a half since the band's split.
Vinnie passed away on June 22 at his home in Las Vegas at the age of 54.
The PANTERA and HELLYEAH drummer was buried on June 30 next to his brother and their mother, Carolyn, at Moore Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Arlington, Texas.
In October, SCOUR will make an appearance at Tecate Mexico Metal Fest in Monterrey, Mexico. Additionally, the band was recently confirmed to play the 2019 edition of the Maryland Deathfest, scheduled for May 23-26. 5

DEE SNIDER Performs New Song 'For The Love Of Metal' At Spain's ROCK FEST (Video)Fan-filmed video footage of TWISTED SISTER frontman Dee Snider performing the title track of his upcoming solo album, "For The Love Of Metal" on July 5 at the Rock Fest in Barcelona, Spain can be seen below.
"For The Love Of Metal" will be released on July 27 via Napalm Records. The disc, which was produced by HATEBREED vocalist Jamey Jasta, will feature contributions from Howard Jones (ex-KILLSWITCH ENGAGE), Mark Morton (LAMB OF GOD), Alissa White-Gluz (ARCH ENEMY), Joel Grind and Nick Bellmore (TOXIC HOLOCAUST), and Charlie Bellmore (KINGDOM OF SORROW).
Speaking to Chris Annunziata of the New Jersey radio station 90.3 WMSC-FM, Snider stated about "For The Love Of Metal": "This is a really exciting album I did not expect to make, especially at this point in my life. I was doing Jamey Jasta's podcast, and he challenged me to make a contemporary rock record. And I was, like, 'Who's producing?' He said, 'I am.' And so we went in the studio [with] no record deal, and people started flocking [to appear on the LP]. It just amazed me, the enthusiasm and excitement that these younger musicians — younger than me, at least — had for working with Dee Snider and being a part of this project."
Dee went on to say that "the album turned out phenomenal," so much so that "we had a bidding war from all the major metal labels," he said. "As Jamey would say, it is hard. It harkens back to my earliest work with TWISTED SISTER, but it's very contemporary sounding with my voice. And people are astounded, actually, that I still have a very strong, very powerful, and as Jamey says, an important, iconic rock voice. So I'm very excited about this album."
Jasta previously described the LP as a "full-on metal album," adding that "people are gonna lose their minds when they hear this." He also called Dee "one of the best vocalists of our time" whose "voice is up there with Ozzy [Osbourne], [Ronnie James] Dio, [Bruce] Dickinson and [Rob] Halford to me. "And it's as powerful as ever!" he said.
"Although this album will be very heavy, the songs are anthemic and will fit well in his solo set with 'We're Not Gonna Take It', 'I Wanna Rock', 'Burn In Hell', 'We Are The Ones', 'So What' and others," Jamey promised.
Snider's last solo album, "We Are The Ones", was released in October 2016 via Red River Records. Produced by Damon Ranger, the disc was described by Dee as "an album that is think part FOO FIGHTERS, part IMAGINE DRAGONS, part THIRTY SECONDS TO MARS."
TWISTED SISTER called it quits in 2016 after completing a farewell 40th-anniversary tour.

Former MALEVOLENT CREATION Singer BRET HOFFMANN Dead At 51Former MALEVOLENT CREATION frontman Bret Hoffmann has died after a battle with stage 4 colon cancer. He was only 51 years old.
The news of Bret's passing was revealed by his wife, Kimberly Karan Hoffmann. She wrote on Facebook: "Today is the saddest day of my life. I just lost my soulmate, the love of my [life]. My best friend has passed away. I will always love [you], RIP, my love."
MALEVOLENT CREATION guitarist Philip Fasciana paid tribute to his former bandmate, writing on Facebook: "Can't believe my best friend/brother has passed away! 40 years of friendship and 30 years of playing music together. There will never be ever anyone I loved more than Bret Hoffmann and writing music and traveling the world with. He was truly the best friend I ever had and will miss him deeply. R.I.P. my brother!!!!!"
In a post on the GoFundMe page launched to help him raise funds for his medical expenses and treatments, Bret explained that he discovered that he had cancer after he went to a hospital emergency room because he was having "bad pains" in his legs and feet. "I work construction, and after a few weeks of this pain every day, my wife, Kim, took me to emergency room, and she was not taking no as an option. Well, come to find out the cancer was causing my T-cell count up and thickening my blood. I had an eight-inch clot in my right calf and some broke off and went into my lungs. The doctor told us if I hadn't come in that I would've certainly been dead by that next Friday from an embolism."
Bret also urged other men to get themselves checked for cancer. "Save yourself a waking nightmare of pain, uncertainty and mental twistedness," he said.
Bret performed on the first three MALEVOLENT CREATION releases until he left the band after 1993's "Stillborn" album. Five years later, he returned and performed on "The Fine Art Of Murder" and "Envenomed" before leaving again and being replaced by Kyle Symons. He rejoined MALEVOLENT again in 2006 and appeared on the group's last three albums, 2007's "Doomsday X", 2010's "Invidious Dominion" and 2015's "Dead Man's Path". He exited the group once again two years ago and was replaced by Lee Wollenschlaeger.
More recently, Bret has been involved with the FIRE FOR EFFECT project in which he was joined by guitarist and songwriter Gio Geraca (MALEVOLENT CREATION, ASHES OF ARES), bassist Tony Choy (PESTILENCE) and drummer Mike Smith (SUFFOCATION). Smith was later replaced by Derek Roddy (HATE ETERNAL, NILE, MALEVOLENT CREATION).
In a 2015 interview with Metal Rules, Bret was asked how he developed his unique vocal style. "When I grew up, I knew I wanted to sing," he said. "I was playing bass at first and I kind of sucked at it. I tried singing and sucked at it. So I went into my room for like two years and practiced singing old JUDAS PRIEST and IRON MAIDEN with [Bruce] Dickinson. I practiced those screams and could do them pretty good. Then when I transitioned over to death metal, it worked, because I learned the right way how to do those screams. It worked."
Today is the saddest day of my life I just lost my soul mate the love of my my best friend has passed away I will always love u Bret Malev Hoffmann RIP my love ❤️❤️❤️Posted by Kimberly Karan Hoffmann on Saturday, July 7, 201810

PRONG's TOMMY VICTOR Has Already Written Eight Songs For Follow-Up To 'Zero Days'PRONG mainman Tommy Victor has confirmed to the "Thunder Underground" podcast that he has already begun working on material for the follow-up to last year's "Zero Days" album. "During the last time off [from the road], I wrote about eight songs," he said (hear audio below). "I've gotta see what they're like. I played a couple for [PRONG producer] Chris [Collier], and I didn't get a really great response from him. So probably out of that batch, maybe one song will be used.
"That's the thing about PRONG too," he continued. "On the last record — and I get a lot of compliments about this — every song is strong; we don't fool around; there's no filler in it. I just got into that mode where if we don't all like it, it just goes in the garbage can. So that's why I started the process earlier and just started writing. Now I've gotta put it in the shelf, listen to it, see what's going on, and then write new stuff. And hopefully put out a couple of songs, and a full record maybe in March next year — if the material is there. So it's all depending on that."
PRONG recently announced a short 2018 European "Zero Days" summer tour, featuring a return to Reload Festival as well as a run of headline shows. DEW-SCENTED has been confirmed as special guest on most of the shows.
"Zero Days" was released last year through Steamhammer/SPV as a CD digipak, two-LP gatefold, download and stream. 1

JOE SATRIANI Joins Forces With STINGRAY QELLO To Release 'Beyond The Supernova" DocumentaryWorld-renowned guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani has joined forces with Stingray Qello to release his tour documentary, "Beyond The Supernova", filmed, edited, directed and produced by ZZ Satriani while on tour in 2016 and 2017. The film received high praise from fans and critics, alike, when it made its debut last October at the Mill Valley Film Festival, which also included a special intimate live performance by the star guitarist.
Satriani said of the collaboration: "Stingray Qello is the place to go for music lovers and fans who thrive on live performances from their favorite artists. I'm always finding new concerts on the site, sounding and looking great, streaming at the stroke of a key! I'm so happy our film 'Beyond The Supernova' has found a home at Stingray Qello."
The documentary highlights the 30 years since the release of his multi-platinum-selling album "Surfing With The Alien" as Satriani searches for the next step in his career. "Beyond The Supernova" is a tour documentary that offers a glimpse into the mind of the guitarist. Join Satriani while he performs music from "Shockwave Supernova" through Asia and Europe and as he looks back on his career. We learn of the autobiographical concept behind the record and how it plays into determining Joe Satriani's next creative step. We'll also go behind the scenes of the "Surfing To Shockwave World Tour" featuring performances from Joe, Mike Keneally, Bryan Beller and Marco Minnemann, as well as cameo appearances by guitarists Steve Vai and Guthrie Govan.
"It is an exciting and incredibly rewarding moment for us to announce that a legend like Joe Satriani has selected Stingray Qello as the only online streaming platform to share his critically acclaimed documentary 'Beyond The Supernova' with his fans," said Frédérick Ranger, vice-president, product marketing of Stingray. "It is our mission to create opportunities for artists to connect and engage with audiences around the world through a multitude of music and video services. Having the opportunity to work with Joe Satriani is a dream come true for all of us."
For two decades, the guitar icon has traveled the world, playing to sold-out crowds as both a headliner and as founder of the all-star "G3" guitar extravaganza. Satriani's studio and live recordings have sold more than 10 million copies worldwide to date and of his many solo albums, two have gone platinum and four others went gold, with 15 Grammy nominations between them. His side project, CHICKENFOOT, featuring former VAN HALEN frontman Sammy Hagar, former VAN HALEN bassist Michael Anthony and RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS drummer Chad Smith, saw its debut album certified gold.

Video Premiere: KORPIKLAANI's 'Harmaja'The official video for the song "Harmaja" from Finnish folk metallers KORPIKLAANI can be seen below. The track is taken from the band's upcoming album, "Kulkija" ("Wanderer"), which will be released on September 7 via Nuclear Blast.
The "Harmaja" clip was directed by Ville Lipiäinen, who has previously worked with NIGHTWISH, BEAST IN BLACK and POWERWOLF.
Founding member Jonne Järvelä commented: "'Harmaja' is an unusual KORPIKLAANI song with its slow tempo and emotional strength. The song is about longing and I managed to charge it with a great emotional atmosphere.
"When making the album, we mostly used the first takes; we didn't get stuck in details when there was no particular need to.
"I was surprised — although in a positive sense — that Nuclear Blast wanted to release 'Harmaja' as a single and a video. Usually they prefer more uptempo, fun, drinking songs. The new album, 'Kulkija', of course, has that material too, since being over an hour long, it contains the entire scope of different emotions.
"I bought a new classical guitar and started to re-acquaint myself with the 5-finger picking technique. I created a finger exercise that then formed the basis of the song. I sent a very basic version of the song to our lyricist Tuomas Keskimäki, who, in the same evening, sent back the lyrics for 'Harmaja'. The text refers to 'Sylvian Joululaulu', a well-known poem about longing by Zachris Topelius. I sang the demo in my home studio immediately and that was it — the song felt good and strong right away and I knew that it was going to end up on the album.
"The video was shot in the pool of the Maritime Safety Training Centre in Lohja. The water was so cold that even constant visits to the sauna couldn't stop the coldness from creeping into my bones. It was very difficult to remember the lyrics, keep my head above the surface of the water and sing — while at the same time trying to look like I wasn‘t freezing to death. All for art!
"Lipiäinen knew exactly what was needed for the video and managed to create just the right atmosphere. Lipiäinen knew exactly what was needed for the video and managed to create just the right atmosphere. The shots change slowly, there is no rush with anything and the story stays just right above the surface until the more stormy ending."
With 14 tracks and a total running time of over 71 minutes, "Kulkija" is the group's longest album to date. Working with producer Janne Saksa for the first time, the album was recorded at Petrax Studio (Hollola, Finland) and mixed at Sound Supreme Studios (Hämeenlinna, Finland). Mastering duties were handled by renowned engineer Svante Forsbäck (RAMMSTEIN). The cover was designed by Jan Yrlund (BATTLE BEAST, MANOWAR), who has already created several artworks for previous albums and singles for the band.
Järvelä commented: "We've never been as satisfied with a final result as we are with 'Kulkija'. We tried to keep it very natural. Like the wanderer, this album is a journey, one that makes you feel good."
Accordionist Sami Perttula added: "'Kulkija' isn't just a collection of songs, it's a 'real' album with a unique atmosphere guiding the listeners through a long journey. All songs were well prepared in advance and nothing needed to be arranged in the studio. Tuomas [fiddle] and I had lots of space to develop and play the folk arrangements."

Listen To New PROPHETS OF RAGE Song 'Heart Afire'A new PROPHETS OF RAGE song titled "Heart Afire" has just been released via Spotify and can be streamed below. The track comes just a few days after PROPHETS OF RAGE bassist Tim Commerford and drummer Brad Wilk revealed in an interview with Finland's Kaaos TV that the band has already finished its second album. Commerford explained: "We're on to another record now; we've already finished a 13-song record that we are just in the process of just putting together at this moment in time. So there's a lot going on. We have a new song that comes out on July 7th. And it's on to new territory, new sounds and new music."
As for the musical direction of the new LP, Commerford remarked: "It's a different direction, it's not the same, and I love that. I grew up, and Brad grew up, listening to bands that made records and you were waiting at the record store to hear what it might sound like — the new record by some band. And so that's the way I feel like we're doing it right now. We're growing and we're creating and we're going in a new territory and I feel really good about it."
Although PROPHETS OF RAGE was originally formed as a response to the events of the 2016 election, Wilk said: "I don't think anybody was putting expiration dates on it when we got together... it started sounding really good and we all were into what we were doing. So that made sense to continue."
Guitarist Tom Morello told The Pulse Of Radio a while back that PROPHETS OF RAGE was never just about Donald Trump. "It heightens the stakes, in that the threat of environmental or nuclear disaster is closer now, but there was injustice before Donald Trump and there will be injustice after Donald Trump," he said. "However, there was also resistance to injustice before Donald Trump and that resistance will continue past him. We just have to look at our moment in time and weave our convictions into our vocation."
PROPHETS OF RAGE's debut album came out last September. In addition to Commerford, Wilk and Morello, who all played together in RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE and AUDIOSLAVE, the band features PUBLIC ENEMY's Chuck D and DJ Lord along with CYPRESS HILL's B-Real.

DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT: 'By Your Command' Performance Video From 'Ocean Machine - Live at the Ancient Roman Theatre Plovdiv'On September 22, 2017, DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT played a special show at the Ancient Roman Theatre in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, celebrating the 20th anniversary of Devin's landmark "Ocean Machine" album in full, as well as a set of fan-requested tracks alongside the Orchestra of Plovdiv State Opera. This concert was filmed, and on July 6, 2018, it will see the light of day as "Ocean Machine - Live at the Ancient Roman Theatre Plovdiv".
The third video to be taken from the live release, a performance of the track "By Your Command", can be seen below.
Devin comments: "Plovdiv and this live package represents a lot to me, it signifies the end of one era, and the celebration of another. Amidst a gruelling touring year, this show came together with much blood, sweat, and tears, and the result is the culmination of many aspects of my work on one stage.
"'Ocean Machine' was released 20 years ago, and though Marty (drums) is no longer with us, I was able to finally perform the album in its entirety with the original bassist John 'Squid' Harder on this night. On a cold evening in an old city in the ancient theatre, many lifelong milestones came to a conclusion on this night and I'm exceptionally proud of it.
"I am currently writing, writing, and writing some more for the next stage of my life and work, and the team of individuals who contributed to this project, from the musicians in the band and orchestra, to the crews locally and with this, management, artists, filmographers and most importantly, the audience... made this night a powerful and strangely bittersweet moment I am proud to have documented with this work.
"This is a very special live recording of a very special night, and I hope you enjoy it as a monument to the things that inspired it all in the first place."
"Ocean Machine - Live at the Ancient Roman Theatre Plovdiv" will be available as a limited deluxe 3CD/2DVD/Blu-ray artbook (with liner notes from Devin and a special documentary dubbed "Reflecting The Chaos" on the second DVD & Blu-Ray), special edition 3CD/DVD digipak, standalone Blu-ray and as digital audio download.

Hear ANN WILSON's Cover Of AUDIOSLAVE's 'I Am The Highway' In Tribute To CHRIS CORNELLLate SOUNDGARDEN and AUDIOSLAVE vocalist Chris Cornell is one of the many artists whom HEART singer Ann Wilson pays tribute to with her new collection, "Immortal", due out September 14.
The album will feature Wilson's versions of classic songs by such icons as Cornell, David Bowie, Tom Petty, Glenn Frey, George Michael, Amy Winehouse, Leslie Gore and many others. The song she chose to honor Cornell was AUDIOSLAVE's "I Am The Highway". You can now listen to the track below.
"The AUDIOSLAVE number is my favorite Chris Cornell song," she previously said. "It's just all about, I'm not the thing, I'm the bigger thing, I'm not your magic carpet ride in the sky. It's a really great song. It has a lot of particular meaning to me because Chris was my friend. The words in 'I Am The Highway' talk about dissatisfaction, and alienation, and someone who is just on their way. They're not going to hang out with the friends and liars."
She added that Cornell never completed embraced his "rock star" status.
"Whenever I hear that song, I think about Chris a lot, because he was always at odds with his success," she said. "The expectations that were put on him being the voice of a generation, and a superstar of the '90s and 2000s and stuff was too much for him. It was really uncomfortable, and he wasn't just bragging about being uncomfortable, he was. It was too much. He basically was a real pure being, and complicated, but really pure, childlike. He had one foot in wanting to be famous, and one foot in just being so uncomfortable there, that he was caught somewhere in the middle. He was so beautiful and handsome, but tender. He was a really, really good person. But this world was just… he went as far as he could go."
Sadly, Wilson recalled to Rolling Stone how she commiserated with LINKIN PARK frontman Chester Bennington upon finding out about Cornell's suicide. On May 18, 2017 — the day Cornell killed himself in the early morning hours — they were both booked as musical guests on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" Wilson, who didn't know Bennington that well, explained: "Someone came into my dressing room and said, 'Chester would like to talk to you.' He was really upset."
Wilson continued: "So I went in. He was really a mess. So anxious and sad and had to go onstage in a minute. I think that Chris's departure hit (him) hard because he recognized the impulse. He had been hit by this news. There was a lot of fear there. I said to him, 'Let's just breathe here and look in each other's eyes and go, 'We're still here right now, let's just do this.' A couple of weeks later, he was gone."
Chester Bennington also took his own life, on July 20, 2017 — just two months after Cornell on what would have been the latter's 53rd birthday.

The press release continues: "'Steelfactory' has become a timeless metal album and thus the impressive statement of a master of his craft. With its earthy, punchy and handmade sound — with the participation of the Danish producer Jacob Hansen (among others, VOLBEAT) — 'Steelfactory' meets the nerve of the time, which may be triggered again since the successful DIRKSCHNEIDER tour worldwide."

Dirkschneider has spent the last two years touring under the DIRKSCHNEIDER banner, performing classic ACCEPT songs for the last time. The trek, which was originally supposed to conclude with the band's North American run in January/February 2017, has now been extended through the fall of 2018.
Guitarist Stefan Kaufmann recently rejoined U.D.O. for the group's summer festival appearances.
Kaufmann left U.D.O. in September 2012 for health reasons.
He was the drummer for ACCEPT on nine albums but was forced to give up drumming towards the end of the band's initial run after sustaining a serious injury to his back.
Stefan joined U.D.O. as a guitar player in 1996, following ACCEPT's second breakup, and recorded nine albums with them, including his most recent release with the group, 2011's "Rev-Raptor".
In addition to Udo and his son Sven (drums), the DIRKSCHNEIDER and U.D.O. bands include bassist Fitty Wienhold and guitarist Andrey Smirnov. 18

THE MAGPIE SALUTE Feat. Ex-THE BLACK CROWES Members: Listen To 'For The Wind' SongTHE MAGPIE SALUTE, which brings together the reunited guitar team of Rich Robinson and Marc Ford from THE BLACK CROWES, bassist Sven Pipien (also from the CROWES) along with lead singer John Hogg (HOOKAH BROWN, MOKE), drummer Joe Magistro and guitarist Nico Bereciartua, will release its debut album, "High Water I", on August 10. It is the follow-up to last year's "The Magpie Salute (Live)", which was largely recorded in front of a studio audience in Woodstock, New York.
The second single from "High Water I", a song called "For The Wind", can be streamed below.
Robinson stated about the track: "'For The Wind' is a song that took a long way around to come to fruition. I wrote it years ago and it took the right band to do it justice. Now it has a great home with MAGPIE."
Hogg said about the lyrics: "It's like this person can see that every terrible thing in his world has been reversed, defeated and left behind. It's not hopeful or expectant, it's more than that... a full-on realization described by one of the victors."
Pulled together by Robinson, THE MAGPIE SALUTE continued a storyline he began in the BLACK CROWES with Ford and Pipien. Meanwhile, Hogg shared HOOKAH BROWN with Robinson as keyboardist Matt Slocum and Magistro both joined him for solo records and tours over the years.
Now, these six individuals conjure magic on their full-length debut of original material, "High Water I" (Mascot/Eagle Rock), for 2018, with "High Water II" to come in 2019.
"It's the recontextualization of playing with one another," Robinson states. "When I was putting this thing together, I was thinking about how even though we may not have played for almost a decade, it just comes back immediately. The chemistry is unexplainable. Of course, I'm the same guy who played with the BLACK CROWES and wrote all of those songs, but this is a different context for myself, Marc, and Sven. It's the convergence of three different worlds and eras for me. We're all here together in this one place. Simultaneously, it's amazing for Marc and Sven to play with Joe and Matt and John to be in the middle of it all. For me, that was really cool to witness. This is what I wanted to do."
"The more time we spend together, the more I realize how much of my life is involved with Rich," Ford reveals. "This is probably the best band I've ever been in. As a player, it challenges me. There's something beyond us that we're agreeing with. This music wants us to be a part of it. Rich and I just agreed that whatever it took for us to drop our bullshit — so be it. That way, we could let this happen in our lives. It's better when we're together than when we're not. We're better friends than we've ever been. I've learned more about him in the last year than I had in the past thirty. Rich and I have been able to pick up this fragmented broken piece of a very bizarre life together and unite as grown men and say, 'Wow, that was something. Let's see what we can do with it.'"
"We're all very aware of this position we're in," adds Hogg. "Rich and Marc have this intense and long history together in quite a public way. At the same time, you've got Sven who's been in the band forever, and Joe has been with Rich for 15 years. I have this history with Rich. I won't lie; it's all quite unusual," he laughs, "I'm working with the greatest musicians I've ever worked with. The dynamic is powerful and positive. There's been a number of long journeys that suddenly all coalesce."
As those roads converged, THE MAGPIE SALUTE first took flight in 2016 when Robinson assembled the original ten-piece incarnation for a now seminal Woodstock gig. The group went on to sell out four consecutive nights at The Gramercy in January 2017 chronicled with a historic Guitar Player cover featuring the two six-stringers. By the top of 2018, the band delivered a total of 77 seismic sets worldwide comprised of a 170-song repertoire of covers, CROWES tunes, and solo material. Acclaim came from Guitar World, Relix, and more, while Rolling Stone summed it up succinctly as "explosive." They unveiled their debut, "The Magpie Salute (Live)", topped off by one original, "Omission". By the time they retreated to Dark Horse Studios in Nashville with Robinson in the producer's chair, the vision crystallized with the six-person lineup.
"Touring as a ten-piece is cool, but it's more like a revue," admits Robinson. "Everything on stage was great. When you're ready to record, there's a lot of space that needs to be considered though. We didn't want it to get too chaotic or too hard to sift through. The core was really important and needed to shine as a strong six-piece. It was great to build something new last year. We were born in a sense. Now, we're working towards something as a tight unit."
"We bashed out all of the framework on tour," continues Ford. "When we got off the road, we focused and let it really shine."
THE MAGPIE SALUTE is launching "High Water I" with "Send Me An Omen". The twang of a hummable riff roars under Hogg's towering delivery before spiraling into an entrancing melody punctuated by gang harmonies and butter smooth solos.
"It's a rock 'n' roll song," asserts Robinson. "It's about a relationship that's not working. By the time it gets to the chorus, there's a happier singalong juxtaposed to John's lyrics. I enjoy messing around with songs that tow the line between dark and light."
"Mary The Gypsy" charges ahead on bombastic drums and thick guitars that give way to an anti-establishment chant. "It's a charge to get rid of this false positive corporate mentality of cynically looking at creators," sighs Robinson. "It's the same thing it's always been. Bankers are running this industry and trying to tell artists how to make money. Why not just create what comes naturally to you?"
A rustle of acoustic strumming opens the floodgates on "High Water" as the vocal vulnerability underscores unrest teeming just beneath the surface. "It touches on the whole overarching theme of the record," Robinson goes on. "It's discussing humanity and everything we're going through."
The group spreads its wings on the sweeping "Sister Moon". "That came from John and I staying in a house together," recalls Ford. "We lived together 24 hours a day for ten days. We would just sit, poke at the fire, and tell stories. Many ideas came from that. That's how 'Sister Moon' started. It's so vibe-y and beautiful. John and I had never met before. The track is like us meeting."
Elsewhere, the plaintive and poignant "Colorblind" details Hogg's perspective on growing up of mixed African and Swedish descent. "It was quite complicated being somebody of mixed race when I was young in London," remarks the singer. "I was looking at some of the feelings I experienced. In a time where race and gender issues are getting inflamed, it's current to think on what this means."
The slow burn of drums and string plucks swings towards a dramatic close on the sparse-yet-soulful "Open Up".
"That one looks inward," Robinson explains. "Think of someone who has been closed off for an entire lifetime. This person inhabits one place. Finally, the world opens up. It's a cool ending."
In many ways, the name reflects the spirit of THE MAGPIE SALUTE.
"I've always loved the element of crows, but they have a dark connotation," Robinson elaborates. "Magpies are revered by ancient and indigenous cultures around the world, because they walk that bridge between dark and light. A magpie is also a cousin to a crow. This band was a cousin to the CROWES last year. Now, there's a superstition where you salute a magpie if you see him. It supposedly wards off bad spirits. A salute means, 'We come in peace.' That's our goal. We just want to play together. It made sense."
In the end, THE MAGPIE SALUTE's story is just beginning to get good.
Baptized by High Water, these friends start anew.
"I want people to realize it's something different and also a little familiar," Robinson leaves off. "I hope they can connect it to the records that defined their lives. Music is there to give us joy, perspective, and show angles we haven't seen before. I appreciate it more than ever. It's a gift."
"I hope listeners can be relieved of some of their burdens by hearing us have fun and share our stories," smiles Hogg. "That's all I could ask for."
Ford concludes, "Ultimately, there's a spirit of reconciliation over the whole thing — because we all dropped a lot of bullshit to get together and make this music happen. There's freedom and power in that. It's a pretty righteous record as a result. It's a lot of grown men who have lived and are still standing to bravely and truthfully tell about it."

Surviving HELLYEAH Members Pay Tribute To VINNIE PAUL In New VideoThe surviving members of HELLYEAH have released a two-minute video tribute to the band's fallen drummer, Vinnie Paul Abbott. The clip, which can be seen below, opens with a message of gratitude from the man himself.
"I just wanna personally thank everybody out there that's always supported me in every band I've ever been in [and] everything I've ever done," Vinnie Paul said. "It's amazing to be able to have a career that's lasted this long. To me, it's amazing to be able to have another career after what happened to my brother and him being taken away from us. So I just wanna give you guys the big love right back at you. Thank you for all your support."
Last month, HELLYEAH frontman Chad Gray released a statement on the death of Vinnie Paul, saying that dealing with his passing "has been one of the toughest things I've ever had to face in my life. I'm so confused, sad and as helpless as I've ever been," he said. "I'm at a loss and completely devastated. But I'm trying. It's the equivalent of an emotional riot in my head and in my heart as I write this. But I'm trying to focus on anything good. I know Vinnie would want that. And the good things are my memories of him. His smile, his infectious laugh and his personality that beamed light."
Gray added: "I just want to say, thank you, Vinnie Paul! For saving my life, for your music, for your endless generosity, for accepting me into your life, for creating our music that touched people, for being proud to be in HELLYEAH and for always treating me like a brother and more importantly for treating me like a friend... I will always love you and go to the end of the earth to carry the torch for you and Dime's legacy."
Abbott's brother, guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott, was shot to death in December 2004 while performing onstage. The Abbotts founded the bands PANTERA and DAMAGEPLAN together. After Dimebag's death, Abbott joined Gray and other members of MUDVAYNE and NOTHINGFACE in HELLYEAH, which has released five albums.
HELLYEAH's fifth album, "Unden!able", came out in 2016.
Not long before his death, Vinnie laid down the drum tracks for HELLYEAH's sixth album. It is not presently clear when those recordings will see the light of day.

SIX FEET UNDER Releases 'Unburied' Collection Of Previously Unreleased MaterialDeath metal veterans SIX FEET UNDER have released a new album of previously unreleased material, titled "Unburied", via Metal Blade Records. Produced by frontman Chris Barnes and mixed/mastered by Chaz Najjar at Badlands Recording in Denver, Colorado, the collection features nine tracks from the "Undead" (2012), "Unborn" (2013) and "Torment" (2017) sessions. "Unburied" is only available digitally now at this location.
For a preview of "Unburied", a lyric video featuring hand-painted art (created by by Septian Devenom) for the track "Gore Hungry Maniac" can be viewed below.
Barnes comments: "I feel 'Unburied' is something special and interesting to release that is different, being that this is our first digital-only release and the songs are all in their rawest and earliest form. It was also a shame for the songs to just sit there and go to waste; I knew the fans would dig them, and also everyone involved worked so hard writing and putting them together. I always felt like the tracks were excellent SIX FEET UNDER material, and wanted to finish and release them at the time of each release — but there was just so much material that was put together for the 'Undead' and 'Unborn' sessions that eight songs were basically left over in the demo stages. Also, one song from the 'Torment' session that Jeff Hughell wrote — 'As The Dying Scream' — was left over in its demo stage as well. Hopefully you enjoy these tracks and it holds you over 'til the next full-length album!"
"Unburied" track listing:
01. Violent Blood Eruption (Savage/Barnes)
02. Midnight In Hell (Laine/Barnes)
03. Gore Hungry Maniac (Englund/Barnes)
04. Re-Animated (Englund/Barnes)

06. The Perverse (Arnold/Barnes)
07. Possessed (Arnold/Barnes)
08. As The Dying Scream (Hughell/Barnes)
09. Skin (Savage/Barnes)

SKID ROW: Pro-Shot Footage Of Savigny-Le-Temple, France ConcertDuke TV has uploaded professionally filmed video footage of SKID ROW's May 23 performance at Empreinte in Savigny-le-Temple, France.
Featured songs:
0:41 - "Sweet Little Sister"
4:03 - "Piece Of Me"
SKID ROW has collaborated with several other artists, including members of SLIPKNOT and HALESTORM, on the songwriting process for the final installment of the band's "United World Rebellion" trilogy. The follow-up to 2014's "Rise Of The Damnation Army - United World Rebellion: Chapter Two" and 2013's "United World Rebellion: Chapter One" will mark the band's first release with the South African-born, British-based vocalist ZP Theart (DRAGONFORCE, TANK, I AM I), who officially joined SKID ROW last year.
In a recent interview with Australia's Heavy music magazine, SKID ROW bassist Rachel Bolan confirmed that the group's next release will be "a full-length record" which will tentatively arrive in 2019.
According to Bolan, SKID ROW also collaborated with songwriter-for-hire Marti Frederiksen, who has previously worked with AEROSMITH, DEF LEPPARD, Jonny Lang and Sheryl Crow.
SKID ROW's upcoming release will see the band reunited with famed rock/metal producer Michael Wagener, who worked on SKID ROW's first two albums, 1989's "Skid Row" and 1991's "Slave To The Grind", as well as 2006's "Revolutions Per Minute".
Rachel said that he is especially thrilled to once again be making an album with Wagener, whom he called "one of my best friends." The bassist said: "We worked together on other stuff [since 'Revolutions Per Minute'], and if he has an artist come in [for a recording session at his studio], he's, like, 'Hey, you wanna play bass on this,' and I'm, like, 'Yeah.' I mean, we're literally 25 or 30 minutes apart in Tennessee, and he's got a badass studio out there. And he actually helped me build my studio at my house."
Despite having played sporadic shows with SKID ROW for a year, Theart wasn't officially announced as the band's new frontman until January 2017.
Theart stepped into the group following the departure of Tony Harnell, the former TNT frontman who joined SKID ROW in April 2015 as the replacement for Johnny Solinger, the band's singer of 15 years.

The track is taken from the band's upcoming album, "The Burning Cold", which will be released on August 31 via Cenury Media. The cover artwork was once again created by Olli-Pekka Lappalainen, who has been responsible for every single artwork for the band since the very first demo.
The band comments: "'Gods Go First' is about the will and the power of it, like good ol' Yoda sayz 'do, or do not, there is no try' — Gods go first to the absolute, and to nothingness! Catchy wild ride with a lot of nasty shameless musicianship included. Sure this one's gonna be a killer live tune which will get a lot of moshpits rolling! We wanted to make an intensive old-school video with just the band and nothing else, and team captured well this moment of playing in a tiny old barn in the middle of nowhere."
"The Burning Cold" track listing:
01. The Burning
02. Gods Go First
03. Refining Fire
04. Rest In Your Heart
05. Over The Battlefield

11. Cold
Main songwriter and guitarist Markus Vanhala comments: "Sometimes you can be extra proud of something you've achieved, and I could claim that 'The Burning Cold' has a sense of special chapter for me. I haven't been this excited for a new album of mine for ages!
"I've been extra busy with all the touring in the past year(s) and I truly don't know when and where I got these songs made. They somehow wrote themselves indeed. We got some really good kick-ass songs and fresh tunes made up and 'The Burning Cold' has a really honest feeling in it. Fresh rebirth of OMNIUM GATHERUM!"
Singer and frontman Jukka Pelkonen comments on the lyrical themes and concepts: "There are two major lyrical concepts on the new album. Firstly, it touches the great human tragedies and fortunes which are around us — tragedies such as war and the engulfing darkness that follows, and fortunes which are tangled in experiences we all share despite of the seemingly burning world. Secondly, the lyrics speak loudly of the human emotional condition. How do we love? Why do we hate? Why some things are easier to leave behind than others. Why does death terrify us, and if it does why do people act like it does not exist?
"This album is a pinnacle of all the hard work we as a group have done in OMNIUM GATHERUM for a long time. The music comes alive and reaches new perspectives. Still. This is truly melodic death metal. Sharpened polished, brutal."
"The Burning Cold" was once again mixed and mastered by Dan Swanö and produced and engineered by Teemu Aalto.
OMNIUM GATHERUM is:
Jukka Pelkonen - Vocals
Markus Vanhala - Guitar
Tuomo Latvala - Drums
Aapo Koivisto - Keyboards
Joonas Koto - Guitar
Erkki Silvennoinen - Bass 4

AS I LAY DYING: Official Video Recap Of First Concert In Five YearsThe classic lineup of California metallers AS I LAY DYING — Tim Lambesis on lead vocals, Jordan Mancino on drums, Phil Sgrosso on rhythm guitar and backing vocals, Nick Hipa on lead guitar and backing vocals, and Josh Gilbert on bass and clean vocals — played its first first comeback show on June 16 at Soma Sidestage in San Diego, California. An official video recap of the concert can be seen below.
The band said in a statement: "We are thankful for an environment of love and positivity within and around our renewed relationships. To the family, friends, crew, and fans in attendance at our recent San Diego show, we would like to express our deepest sense of gratitude for making the evening such a meaningful experience."
The $10 tickets to AS I LAY DYING's first live appearance since 2013 at the 300-capacity Soma Sidestage reportedly sold out in four minutes. It was said to be the band's decision to play on a smaller stage rather than the 2,000-capacity mainstage.
Last month, AS I LAY DYING released a new song called "My Own Grave", which marked the first fresh music from the band since it issued its sixth album, "Awakened", back in September 2012.
In May 2014, Lambesis was sentenced to six years in jail after pleading guilty to paying a San Diego police officer posing as a hitman $1,000 to kill his wife. Approximately two and a half years later — on December 17, 2016 — he was discharged from a California detention facility and was transferred to the Division of Adult Parole Operations.
Last December, Lambesis released a statement in which he apologized to his former wife and children for his "appalling actions." He also accepted responsibility for being "the sole offender and the only one to blame for everything that happened."
The return of AS I LAY DYING raised some questions, particularly since Hipa categorically denounced the band's disgraced frontman as a "sociopathic narcissist in definite need of rehabilitation" in a social-media post back in 2014.
Lambesis was arrested in May 2013 after handing a "hitman" — really an undercover police officer — $1,000 in cash, along with his wife's address and gate security codes.
Prior to the murder plot, his wife had asked a San Diego Superior Court to dissolve their marriage.
The day of the Soma Sidestage concert, the five members of AS I LAY DYING released a half-hour video in which they discussed the return of their classic lineup, including how they reconnected and repaired their personal relationships following Lambesis's release from prison. 2

IN FLAMES Recruits Drummer TANNER WAYNESwedish metallers IN FLAMES have recruited American drummer Tanner Wayne, best known for his work with UNDERMINDED, SCARY KIDS SCARING KIDS and CHIODOS, to sit behind the kit for the band for their summer 2018 live appearances.
Wayne has stepped into IN FLAMES following the apparent recent departure of Joe Rickard, who played on the band's latest album, 2016's "Battles".
Tanner made his live debut with IN FLAMES last night (Wednesday, July 4) in Brno, Czech Republic. Fan-filmed video footage of the concert can be seen below.
Rickard told Grasser Production in a 2017 interview that he landed the IN FLAMES gig because he was "probably [in the] right place at the right time. I had taken a little break from touring for a while and I was doing a lot of session work and studio work and things like that. And so it was just a normal thing for me to come in and do a drum session for a band. And so [producer] Howard Benson hired me to work on the album, play drums on the album, things like that. So, for me, it was just another project. Obviously, I was excited about it, but it was just another thing. So I had no idea that they were wanting to hire an American to be in the band and that they would be interested in me. I just did my best and had fun making the abum, and we had a great time while they were there. There was tons of barbecue and VAN HALEN; that's basically what they did the whole time. And so it was very unexpected when they asked me if I would wanna do it. And, of course, you say 'yes' when IN FLAMES ask you to be their drummer. You don't really say 'no' to that."
Longtime IN FLAMES drummer Daniel Svensson announced in 2015 that he was leaving the band to focus on his family life.
IN FLAMES' current lineup features American bassist Bryce Paul, who has been playing most of the shows with the group since the November 2016 departure of longtime bassist Peter Iwers.
IN FLAMES spent the last few months working on the follow-up to "Battles" for a tentative late 2018 release.

OWL Featuring ACE FREHLEY / HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES Bassist CHRIS WYSE Tease Forthcoming Album With "Believe" Single; Audio StreamingLos Angeles hard rock trio Owl takes a moment to explore the manifestation of dreams and desires on their potent and powerful new single “Believe”, released on June 22nd and available to stream below.
Owl is the highly personal creative vehicle of vocalist/bassist Chris Wyse, longtime bassist for The Cult and member of Ace Frehley's band, along with drummer Dan Dinsmore (The Clay People) and recently returned guitarist/vocalist Eric Bradley. Wyse and Dinsmore formed their first band together as teenagers in upstate New York, and have maintained a working version of Owl over the years, even as Wyse's star ascended as a bassist following his move to Los Angeles.
The band's new song "Believe" explores the real act of materializing one's beliefs and taking control of destiny. Recorded between Wyse's tours with Ace Frehley and The Hollywood Vampires, the track is the first new recording in over ten years to include original guitarist Eric Bradley, who first met Wyse when they played together in the Jerry Cantrell band.
Camping out at Albany's Overit Studios, the trio utilized a live recording approach, and Wyse pushed the boundaries of integrating an upright bass and bow into the band's music in innovative ways.
Currently touring the world with the Vampires, Wyse is excited about the future of Owl and the prospect of further uninhibited creation.
"Believe" is available now on all digital platforms via Overit Records.
