Watch CAVALERA CONSPIRACY's Video For 'Spectral War'

Watch CAVALERA CONSPIRACY's Video For 'Spectral War'

"Spectral War", the new video from CAVALERA CONSPIRACY, the band led by brothers and founding SEPULTURA members Max (also of SOULFLY) and Igor Cavalera, can be seen below. The track is taken from CAVALERA CONSPIRACY's fourth album, "Psychosis", which is being released today (Friday, November 17) via Napalm Records. The disc, which was produced by longtime friend Arthur Rizk, was recorded primarily at a studio in Phoenix, Arizona.

Max Cavalera said: "Our new video, 'Spectral War', was directed by the great tattoo artist Paul Booth. It focuses on the idea of manipulating war through the ages!

"I'm very excited for the release of 'Psychosis'! Death/thrash metal is back to set the world on fire!!!"

The cover artwork for "Psychosis" can be seen below.

The track listing for the CD is as follows:

01. Insane02. Terror Tactics03. Impalement Execution04. Spectral War05. Crom06. Hellfire07. Judas Pariah08. Psychosis09. Excruciating

Speaking to Metal Wani's Jake Patton, Max stated about the follow-up to 2014's "Pandemonium": "The album was produced by Arthur Rizk, our friend and a great producer — an upcoming, underground producer. And he did a great job. I love the record. There are nine songs. We've got one song with Justin [Broadrick] from GODFLESH — just a great NAILBOMB, GODFLESH, CAVALERA kind of song. The rest is all pure thrash madness. And we had it mastered a couple of days ago by Joel Grind from TOXIC HOLOCAUST; he mastered the album. And it's great, man. It's a beast of an album. I think a lot of people are are gonna be surprised when they hear it. It's, for me, the best of all the CAVALERA albums, my favorite one. And it's got the same intensity and energy of the old stuff like [SEPULTURA's] 'Beneath The Remains' and 'Arise'. So a lot of people are gonna be happy to hear that."

Max also talked in more detail about the lyrical themes covered on the new CAVALERA CONSPIRACY disc. He said: "It's a bit… kind of like a mix. There's some stuff about what's going on right now, so there's some terrorist stuff in songs like 'Impalement Execution' and 'Terror Tactics' and 'Excruciating'. And there's some kind of fantasy stuff, like 'Crom', which is the father of Conan. That was a really fun song to make. We have a song called 'Insane' — it's about the state of the world, with Donald Trump and the bombings in England and France. And then, of course, there's an instrumental called 'Psychosis', which is the name of the album, which I think is cool, because I think it also reflects the state of mankind right now, the state of the world right now. It's pretty much psycho — we're living in a psycho age, with madness everywhere we go. The GODFLESH song is called 'Hellfire' — it's about drones. It was inspired by a movie called 'Eye In The Sky' and a movie called 'Good Kill', which is about drones and how people just sit in an air-conditioned office in Nevada and bomb people in Afghanistan and Pakistan with those crazy drones. It was a really cool song built around that, and I really love Justin from GODFLESH's vocals. He sings more in the line of the 'Streetcleaner' vocals from the early GODFLESH, so that came out really nice."

Asked if Max and Igor's recent tour on which they celebrated the twentieth anniversary of SEPULTURA's classic album "Roots" by performing the LP in its entirety influenced the musical content of the new CAVALERA CONSPIRACY material, Max said: "The 'Psychosis' song is very tribal. Some of the recordings were done with Igor in Uganda, in Africa. Igor went there for a thing he did with his wife, like helping people from Uganda, a humanitarian kind of thing. And he recorded a bunch of cool sounds when he was in Africa. So we created this kind of… almost like a voodoo, ambient kind of real tribal… It could have been on [SEPULTURA's] 'Roots'; this song could be on the 'Roots' album. It's got a really great buildup with the drums, and then it has real cool melodic guitars on it — almost like prog rock a little bit. It's kind of like the one 'off' song of the album that really is not like the rest of the record. But it's very cool, it's very tribal and definitely influenced by 'Roots'."

Igor told HeavyMetal.dk that it was "good" for him and Max to have Rizk involved with the new CAVALERA CONSPIRACY album because Arthur "is super passionate about music, the same way we are. So to have someone like him coming in and helping us with ideas and things like that, I think it's gonna surprise a lot of people, 'cause he understands a lot about what's going on today in music, and that's pretty cool — that exchange with us, with the old-school ideas with also someone that understands music right now. I'm far more excited than I've been in many years to put out a record like this. So I have to say I'm quite into it, what we're doing right now."

Max concurred, telling HeavyMetal.dk: "[Arthur] captured the classic Max and Igor in a way that's never really quite been captured before. It was always his objective from the beginning — he wanted to capture the soul of the brothers, and I think he did. I think it's quite amazing, looking back, that somebody can get that out of you after twenty-five years, man. That's awesome. But, like Igor said, there's a lot of noise also — between songs we're gonna hear all this kind of crazy just pure noise and heaviness, which is unheard of. So I'm very excited."

W.A.S.P. To Release 'Reidolized (The Soundtrack To The Crimson Idol)' In February

W.A.S.P. To Release 'Reidolized (The Soundtrack To The Crimson Idol)' In February

This year marks the 25th anniversary of "The Crimson Idol" — the legendary story of Jonathan Aaron Steele, which was originally intended to be accompanied by a movie, with several hundred hours of film that were shot to create approximately 60 minutes of movie footage. The album is still considered to be the best of W.A.S.P.'s career, and one of the greatest concept albums of all time. It undoubtedly belongs in every metalhead's record collection.

Napalm Records now proudly presents "ReIdolized (The Soundtrack To The Crimson Idol)" , the 25th anniversary of the iconic hit album plus the original "The Crimson Idol" movie on DVD and Blu-ray. For the first time ever as originally intended — film and soundtrack united and released as one special product. The product will also feature four missing songs that were originally intended to be part of the original "The Crimson Idol".

"ReIdolized (The Soundtrack To The Crimson Idol)" will be released worldwide on February 2, 2018 via Napalm Records.

CD1 track listing:

01. The Titanic Overture02. The Invisible Boy03. Arena Of Pleasure04. Chainsaw Charlie (Murders In The New Morgue)05. The Gypsy Meets The Boy06. Michael's Song07. Miss You08. Doctor Rockter

CD2 track listing:

01. I Am One02. The Idol03. Hold On To My Heart04. Hey Mama05. The Lost Boy06. The Peace07. Show Time08. The Great Misconceptions Of Me

"The Crimson Idol" tells the twisted tale of a suicidal rock and roll icon and the perils that come with fame. With guitarist Chris Holmes no longer a member of W.A.S.P., Blackie Lawless recorded "The Crimson Idol" with guitarist Bob Kulick and drummers Stet Howland and Frankie Banali. Voted one of the Top 20 conceptual albums of all-time by Metal Hammer magazine, "The Crimson Idol" is obviously more of a soundtrack than, say, a straight rock 'n' roll album.

Issued internationally in 1992, "The Crimson Idol" was not made available in the United States until 1993 and it gave W.A.S.P. the band's first U.S. radio hit single with "Hold On To My Heart". Ironcally enough, it was the way Capitol Records handled the push (or lack thereof) on "Hold On To My Heart" that made Blackie decide to leave the label.

"The main theme of 'The Crimson Idol' which is a haunting acoustic guitar riff was in a [pre-W.A.S.P. band] SISTER song called 'What I Am'," Blackie said. "I've always been very economical with my songwriting. If something wasn't working out I'd scrap it. But if something was a good idea but not ready, or didn't quite fit what we were doing at the time, I'd go back to it later and re-work it."

During an interview with RIP magazine, Lawless had this to say about the album: "'The Crimson Idol' is an enormously complicated story. There are ten songs on it and each one is a euphemism for something else. Nothing on this album is really what it appears to be at first glance. Everything is a symbol for something else. The story was written from a satirical point of view. That means that wherever a person is at their life and whoever's viewpoint they're listening to in the story are going to determine the story they're going to get. If you're 18 and you listen to it, you're going to see one thing. If you go back and listen to it five or ten years later, you're going to get a completely different story. I didn't want to create fast food for the ears. I wanted something that I thought was going to have longevity."

Blackie also spoke about "The Crimson Idol" in a 2010 chat with Metal Asylum. He stated at the time: "'The Crimson Idol' was about a kid who was a musician and gets famous and all this stuff, and he finds out fame really isn't what he is looking for, but, really, 'Crimson Idol' is about love. It's a real simple story, and at the time when I did it, I thought it was more complex than it was. But looking back on it, you can see what it really boils down to, and I'm not diminishing the value of the album because it is real powerful. Part of the reason it worked is because its something everyone can relate to. Especially that whole idea of not getting what you want from your parents, or being loved in general; that's what struck a nerve in people. And at the time, I was almost writing it as a footnote, but when I look back, it was much bigger in the story than I gave it credit for."

Brazilian drummer Aquiles Priester made his live debut with W.A.S.P. at the opening show of the band's "Re-Idolized - The Crimson Idol 25th Anniversary World Tour" on September 25 at Trädgår'n in Gothenburg, Sweden.

QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE: 'The Way You Used To Do' Video Now Available Worldwide

QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE: 'The Way You Used To Do' Video Now Available Worldwide

After previously being available exclusively through Apple Music, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE have unleashed the wickedly entertaining video for "The Way You Used To Do" for all to see.

Written by Joshua Homme, directed by Jonas Åkerlund and produced by Serial Pictures, "The Way You Used To Do" features a dance-fueled Satanic fever dream that only QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE could possibly deliver, set to the equally devilish yet nonetheless contagious first single off the band's new album, "Villains" — out now.

Homme on the unique collaboration with Åkerlund: "Dancing and headbanging are truly individualistic expressions of losing oneself fully in appreciation of music — who better to combine these things into a singular vision than someone who's directed Madonna and Lady Gaga videos, and also happens to have been a member of BATHORY?"

Not enough "Villains" for you? Catch QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE as they make a special appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on December 14. Check your local listings for specific air times.

Capping off the expansive and world-dominating "Villains" 2017 tour with a performance at the sold-out KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas next month, the band will be ready to obliterate 2018 with the latest slew of confirmed dates which are all currently on sale.

Produced by Mark Ronson and QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, "Villains" was released August 25 on Matador Records. The album debuted at No. 1 in the U.K., Australia, Canada, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Switzerland and Portugal, No. 2 in Germany, Austria, Belgium, Finland, Norway and Ireland, No. 3 on the Billboard 200, No. 4 on Japan's international chart and No. 5 in Italy — easily the single biggest global sales week of the QUEENS' seven-album stretch. "Villains"' first seven days in existence also saw nearly a hundred thousand vinyl albums moved worldwide, as the record became the No. 1-selling vinyl LP in the U.K., U.S. and Germany. "Villains" also took the U.S. No. 1 spots on the Alternative, Hard, Rock, Internet and Independent Label album charts and No. 2 on the Digital Album sales chart.

QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE are Joshua Homme, Troy Van Leeuwen, Dean Fertita, Michael Shuman and Jon Theodore.

Swiss All-Female Heavy Metal Band BURNING WITCHES Releases 'Black Widow' Video

Swiss All-Female Heavy Metal Band BURNING WITCHES Releases 'Black Widow' Video

"Black Widow", the first video from the Swiss all-girl heavy metal outfit BURNING WITCHES, can be seen below. The clip produced by Michael Studer for 303.ch Productions.

"Black Widow" is taken from BURNING WITCHES' self-titled debut album, which was released earlier in the year. The disc was recorded at the Little Creek Studios in Switzerland with producers V.O. Pulver and Schmier (DESTRUCTION).

Schmier previously stated about BURNING WITCHES: "Those ladies sound original, fresh and heavy! I love the classical heavy metal influence and the [Rob] Halford-inspired vocals!

He continued: "The BURNING WITCHES will sure get their fans. Their sound, in between classical [JUDAS] PRIEST and U.S. power metal like ICED EARTH, caught my attention right away."

BURNING WITCHES was founded during spring 2015 in Brugg, Switzerland, by guitar player Romana Kalkuhl. It has always been her big dream to perform with a women's heavy metal band on stage. During the music university studies, she already started her first group together with Kevin Schaffer, with whom she has recorded two albums and played several concerts.

In 2015, Romana started to look for talented ladies for the new combo. Jeanine Grob (bass), a longtime friend, became the first official member. At a party at a festival, Romana met Seraina Telli (singer) for the first time. It clicked right away betweens the two girls, on a musical and on a personal level. Seraina brought in many ideas and a lot of experience because of her studies at the Music Academy and her band SURRILIUM. The guitarist and the singer became a great songwriting team right away.

Romana wrote Schmier from DESTRUCTION about her new project, and the ladies brought him onboard as a producer/consultant.

After an intensive search and different auditions, BURNING WITCHES found Lala Frischknecht the perfect drummer for the all-girl metal band.

BURNING WITCHES' latest addition is guitarist Alea Wyss, who joined the band in December 2016.

"Director and producer Robert Piel approached us and wanted to make a collaboration, which was something that we gladly accepted after seeing his previous work and after seeing how well we got along and how our cinematic references really overlapped.

"It's rare that you find people who have that creative spark that lacks in most of us and the discipline to fully get the job done. Robert and his entire crew had that! PHIL CAMPBELL AND THE BASTARD SONS: Lyric Video For New Song 'Ringleader'

PHIL CAMPBELL AND THE BASTARD SONS: Lyric Video For New Song 'Ringleader'

The lyric video for the song "Ringleader" from PHIL CAMPBELL AND THE BASTARD SONS, the band featuring MOTÖRHEAD guitarist Phil Campbell alongside his sons Todd, Dane and Tyla, plus vocalist Neil Starr, can be seen below. The track is taken from PHIL CAMPBELL AND THE BASTARD SONS' debut album, "The Age Of Absurdity", which will be released on January 26, 2018 via Nuclear Blast. The disc was recorded at Rockfield Studios and Longwave Studios in Wales and produced, engineered, and mixed by Romesh Dodangoda. The record was then passed over to the acclaimed Abbey Road Studios in London for mastering.

Commented Phil Campbell: "I am really excited for the fans to hear our debut record. Every part of the process was done in Wales, from the writing, to the recording and even the artwork!

"The album title, 'The Age Of Absurdity', was inspired by the crazy world we live in today. The world to me seems to be a bit of a theater show, so the album artwork idea just seemed to fit so well with the whole concept and album title."

Added Starr: "Writing and recording this album was a lot of fun. We got to record at Rockfield Studios where so many great artists had been over the years — it really was inspirational. Hearing the blistering riffs that the Campbell family seem to churn out effortlessly made me ensure I pushed myself to the limits when writing the melodies and lyrics. It's an album that I, and the rest of the band, are very proud of and can't wait to share it with the world!"

"The Age Of Absurdity" track listing:

01. Ringleader02. Freak Show03. Skin And Bones04. Gypsy Kiss05. Welcome To Hell06. Dark Days07. Dropping The Needle08. Step Into The Fire09. Get On Your Knees10. High Rule11. Into The Dark12. Silver Machine (HAWKWIND cover feat. Dave Brock of HAWKWIND)*

Listen To New MACHINE HEAD Song 'Beyond The Pale'

Listen To New MACHINE HEAD Song 'Beyond The Pale'

San Francisco Bay Area metallers MACHINE HEAD will release their ninth full-length album, "Catharsis", on January 26, 2018 via Nuclear Blast. The follow-up to 2014's "Bloodstone & Diamonds" was recorded with Zack Ohren (FALLUJAH, ALL SHALL PERISH) at Sharkbite Studios in Oakland, California.

"Catharsis" track listing:

01. Volatile02. Catharsis03. Beyond The Pale04. California Bleeding05. Triple Beam06. Kaleidoscope07. Bastards08. Hope Begets Hope09. Screaming At The Sun10. Behind A Mask11. Heavy Lies The Crown12. Psychotic13. Grind You Down14. Razorblade Smile15. Eulogy

The album is available for pre-order at this location.

The song "Beyond The Pale" can be streamed below.

MACHINE HEAD frontman Robb Flynn told Poland's Interia.pl that "Beyond The Pale" was "the second song that we wrote for the record. It was just a simple four-minute song that we were, like, 'Fuck, cool!' It came together really fast," he said. "Lyrically, it took me a while to get how I wanted to shape it. That was the one song on the record where I couldn't get a theme for the song, like a lyrical theme. I went through seven different choruses, seven different subjects, seven completely different sets of lyrics. When it finally came to this last one, that's when I knew it was it. 'Kaleidoscope' was the opposite. We literally wrote that in the studio. Me and Dave [McClain, drums] were messing around. It just came super-fast. I ended up going in there and I freestyled a bunch of the lyrics and that whole intro section was the second time I ever sang the song. It just poured out of me. I was really excited."

He continued: "I think when you go to capture a record, you go into the studio and sometimes it can be a little bit of a sterile environment. You want to capture lightning in a bottle, but it's hard, it's the hardest thing to do. Many bands don't do it. With ['Kaleidoscope'], we just fucking captured it and it was crazy. You're literally hearing the first day we ever played that song as a band. We captured it. I think you feel that energy. I think there's an urgency there, there's an excitement there. I don't know if it would have been there if we worked on it for eight or nine months and then recorded it later."

The North American tour in support of "Catharsis" will kick off on January 25 in Mesa, Arizona.

IN FLAMES Covers DEPECHE MODE, ALICE IN CHAINS, NINE INCH NAILS On 'Down, Wicked & No Good' EP

IN FLAMES Covers DEPECHE MODE, ALICE IN CHAINS, NINE INCH NAILS On 'Down, Wicked & No Good' EP

Gothenburg, Sweden-based metal heavyweights IN FLAMES have surprised fans by releasing a four-track covers EP, "Down, Wicked & No Good". To debut their cover of DEPECHE MODE's 1997 hit single "It's No Good", the members of IN FLAMES are taking over DEPECHE MODE's Facebook page today starting at 13:00 CET, releasing exclusive content and a new video for the song.

The panoptic covers collection also includes IN FLAMES' versions of ALICE IN CHAINS' "Down In A Hole", Chris Isaak's "Wicked Game", and a live bonus version of NINE INCH NAILS' "Hurt". It sees the Swedish quintet expanding beyond metal to incorporate the group's varied musical taste and expansive sonic range. "We've been fans of DEPECHE MODE since we were as young as 10," says IN FLAMES. "Getting to do our rendition of 'It's No Good' showed us a different side of the song — it brought new meanings to us. We relate to the lyrics and power of the song so heavily that it almost feels as if we could have written it ourselves. They're a band that we've always looked up to. Growing up, you either listened to pop, synths or rock and even though we are a metal band, DEPECHE MODE inspired a lot of the electronic elements we use in our music today." Earlier this week, IN FLAMES kicked off a 25-date co-headline arena tour with American heavyweights FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH and special guests OF MICE & MEN in Helsinki.

IN FLAMES' twelfth studio album, "Battles", was released in November 2016 via Nuclear Blast in all territories excluding North America and Scandinavia and Eleven Seven Music Group in the U.S.

IN FLAMES recruited Bryce Paul — a member of the Southern California pop-rock outfit IVES — to play bass for the band on most of the "Battles" tour.

Longtime IN FLAMES bassist Peter Iwers quit the band in November 2016, saying that he was leaving IN FLAMES "to pursue other endeavors." His replacement for some of the European shows was Håkan Skoger, who had previously played with PASSENGER and GARDENIAN.

AT THE GATES Begins Recording 'Darker, Richer And More Raging' New Album

AT THE GATES Begins Recording 'Darker, Richer And More Raging' New Album

Swedish melodic death metal pioneers AT THE GATES have entered Parlour Studios in the U.K. with producer Russ Russell (NAPALM DEATH, THE HAUNTED, DIMMU BORGIR) to begin recording their new album. The follow-up to 2014's acclaimed comeback effort, "At War With Reality", will arrive in early 2018 via Century Media.

"We are finally hitting the studio and are super excited about this!" says AT THE GATES frontman Tomas Lindberg. "The songs have been worked on in such detail for the last seven months and we can't wait to put them down to tape.

"Russ Russell was actually the runner-up for mixing 'At War With Reality', and we really wanted to work with him on this one. He has what we are looking for when it comes to sheer loud, blunt heaviness.

"This is going to be a darker, richer and more raging album than the last one. It has so much more real AT THE GATES emotions on display, and I would say it has the same approach lyrically as the feeling of 'The Red In The Sky Is Ours'. More of a red album than a blue one. Can't wait for people to hear it!"

A first video report from the studio, featuring AT THE GATES drummer Adrian Erlandsson doing a drum set-up run-down for the recordings, can be seen below.

AT THE GATES recently announced the addition of guitarist Jonas Stålhammar to the group's ranks. He joined the band as the replacement for co-founding guitarist Anders Björler, who left AT THE GATES in March.

The band said in a statement: "We were looking for someone who had the same reference points as we do, someone from the same path, so to say, who understand the greatness of both AUTOPSY and KING CRIMSON. Of course, it was essential that our new member could fill the shoes of Anders performance-wise as well, but that was never an issue with Jonas. We were looking for someone with a deep understanding of what AT THE GATES are about, someone who could contribute creatively to the band."

Stålhammar is currently a member of THE LURKING FEAR, CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX, BOMBS OF HADES and GOD MACABRE. He previously played in ABHOTH, UTUMNO and MACABRE END.

ANVIL: Lyric Video For New Song 'Ego'

ANVIL: Lyric Video For New Song 'Ego'

Canadian metal legends ANVIL will release their new album, "Pounding The Pavement", on January 19, 2018 via SPV/Steamhammer as a digipak version (including one bonus track and poster), two-LP gatefold colored version, digital download and stream. The disc was produced at the Soundlodge studios in Rhauderfehn in the northwest of Germany, where ANVIL found not only the necessary peace and seclusion to concentrate on their recordings, but also met in studio owner Jörg Uken the ideal producer for their ambitioned work.

The official lyric video for the song "Ego" can be seen below.

Why has "Pounding The Pavement" turned into such an awesome offering? Guitarist/vocalist Steve "Lips" Kudlow explains: "The songwriting process started immediately after the work on our previous album, 'Anvil Is Anvil', had been completed. So our thoughts instantly turned to the future again. After 'Anvil Is Anvil' had been cut, everybody knew what we had just delivered and what ANVIL's future should sound like."

Despite the diverse range of their ideas, Kudlow, drummer Robb Reiner and their bassist Chris Robertson have succeeded in filling the typical trademarks of this unusual band with life once again — which is an important aspect for every ANVIL release. After all, tradition and reliability play an essential role in this group. Kudlow says: "Of course we always allow inspirations from earlier recordings to seep in, but always with an emphasis on evolving the characteristic ANVIL sound.

"Lots of fans keep asking us to play the way we did in the so-called good old days. That's why I try from time to time to pick up on that exciting feel of our older material. Mind you, it's always exclusively about the basic atmosphere of that time, never about copying an older song."

The programmatic album title "Pounding The Pavement" is a synonym for the consistently serious challenge of ensuring ANVIL's financial survival. Kudlow says: "I feel nothing could describe the way we've been working for the past forty years better than 'Pounding The Pavement'. ANVIL have tried for four decades to earn enough money to survive and continue to make music."

"Pounding The Pavement" track listing:

01. Bitch In The Box (4:29)02. Ego (2:57)03. Doing What I Want (3:17)04. Smash Your Face (4:20)05. Pounding The Pavement (3:05)06. Rock That Shit (3:21)07. Let It Go (3:00)08. Nanook Of The North (5:57)09. Black Smoke (3:26)10. World Of Tomorrow (4:37)11. Warming Up (3:03)12. Don´t Tell Me (3:51) (bonus track)

LINKIN PARK: Trailer For 'One More Light Live' Album

LINKIN PARK will release a concert album titled "One More Light Live" on December 15. Recorded on the band's "One More Light" world tour, it features 16 songs, including "Crawling", "Numb", "What I've Done", "Heavy" and the title track from the group's latest studio album, "One More Light". The live set will arrive five months after the passing of singer Chester Bennington, who died on July 20 at his Los Angeles area home after committing suicide at the age of 41.

A trailer for "One More Light Live" is available below.

The band said in a statement: "We dedicate this live album to our brother Chester who poured his heart and soul into 'One More Light'. After we finished recording the album, we joked with Chester that — since he had delivered so many stunning performances in the studio — he had set the bar extra high to produce that alchemy on stage each night. Not surprisingly, he welcomed the challenge."

The statement added: "The shows we played together during the early summer of 2017 were extraordinary. Chester shared with us that he felt this was the best tour we had ever done. The camaraderie and joy we experienced on stage reflected our deep connection with each other, with our fans, and with the music."

The band concluded: "For those of you who attended this tour in person, we thank you. For those who could not, we hope this live album gives you a glimpse into how magical these shows were for the six of us."

Bennington himself told The Pulse Of Radio a while back that he always wanted to give fans a different experience when they came to see the group. "There's one of two ways that bands get perceived when they're seen live," he said. "I think that one way is 'Wow, that is something like they do on the record.' And it can be disappointing. And the other is the music is actually a little better or different than I thought it was. And I like it more. And I think that's the way people view what we do live."

LINKIN PARK paid tribute to Bennington on October 27 with an emotional three-hour show that featured numerous guests joining the band onstage at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.

Among the artists who performed with the band were BUSH's Gavin Rossdale, Jonathan Davis of KORN, Alanis Morissette, the instrumental members of NO DOUBT, Oli Sykes of BRING ME THE HORIZON, BLINK-182, M. Shadows and Synyster Gates of AVENGED SEVENFOLD and many more.

LINKIN PARK has yet to announce whether the band intends to continue without Bennington.

"One More Light Live" track listing:

EISLEY/GOLDY Feat. DAVID GLEN EISLEY And CRAIG GOLDY: Listen To 'Soul Of Madness' Song

EISLEY/GOLDY Feat. DAVID GLEN EISLEY And CRAIG GOLDY: Listen To 'Soul Of Madness' Song

Singer David Glen Eisley and guitarist Craig Goldy (RESURRECTION KINGS, ex-DIO), both formerly of GIUFFRIA, have joined forces again in EISLEY/GOLDY, a partnership which sees the two artists bring back the signature sound that launched their careers in the early '80s.

EISLEY/GOLDY's debut album, "Blood, Guts And Games", will be released on December 1 via Frontiers Music Srl.

The song "Soul Of Madness", taken from "Blood, Guts And Games", can be streamed below.

As David Glen Eisley stated around October 2014, after several years on hiatus after his 2001 solo effort: "My dear friend of many years, guitar virtuoso Craig Goldy, made a surprise visit up to my house, knocked on the door and simply stated, 'Enough of this, my friend… Time for you to get up off your ass and come back to work!' He was so adamant, I relented and agreed to join him on a small stage in the San Diego area. It all seemed to go well and the next thing I knew a year later, we were in Nottingham, England playing together again in front of a crowd. We had been discussing writing some material for a potential album during this past year. But where to take it, assuming we were to actually do one? That left a big question, but a simple answer. The BEST rock and roll label left on the planet that understood who we were and who we are today. That was Frontiers and our friends Serafino and Mario!! A deal was struck and we both are happy to say EISLEY/GOLDY will be bringing you a new record in 2017. Funny how things happen in this crazy world of rock and roll!"

Of the first single to be released from the album, Goldy says: "The song 'The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter' is a song that I know is very close to Dave's own heart... because of a very special loved one, who is still in search mode for that 'one and only,' yet still gets kicked around during that quest! For me... this song can indeed be about anyone who is searching for a special someone.... or it can also be about the internal search we all feel at times while trying to uncover what special purpose or calling in life we are on this planet for... and that search, though originally generated from the heart, can often become as treacherous as a hunter in the wild!" EISLEY/GOLDY's recording lineup also includes drummer Ron Wikso, whose resume includes THE STORM, FOREIGNER, Cher, David Lee Roth, and more. Original GIUFFRIA bassist Chuck Wright also plays on a few tracks on the album and original GIUFFRIA drummer Alan Krigger is featured in "The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter" music video.

"Blood, Guts And Games" track listing:

01. The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter02. I Don't Belong Here Anymore03. Lies I Can Live With04. No More Prayers In The Night05. Love Of The Game06. Wings Of A Hurricane07. Life, 'If Only A Memory'08. Soul Of Madness09. Track Thirteen10. Believe In One Another

WALKING PAPERS Featuring DUFF MCKAGAN: 'WP2' Album Due In January

WALKING PAPERS Featuring DUFF MCKAGAN: 'WP2' Album Due In January

Seattle's WALKING PAPERS, featuring Jefferson Angell (THE MISSIONARY POSITION), Benjamin Anderson (THE MISSIONARY POSITION), Duff McKagan (GUNS N' ROSES, VELVET REVOLVER) and Barrett Martin (SCREAMING TREES, MAD SEASON), will release its second album, "WP2", on January 19, 2018 via Loud & Proud Records.

Fans can get a taste of "WP2" by watching a snippet below. "This record has exceeded my expectations of what I thought that might be," says Angell. "It perfectly captures the raw, explosive energy of a band primed from extensive touring while at the same time achieving the polish and elevation that comes from experimenting in the studio." "WP2" is the follow-up to WALKING PAPERS' 2013 critically acclaimed debut album that Rolling Stone called "dark, alternately sensual and sinister." USA Today said, "Sometimes an album sounds nothing like you expect yet still blows you away… It's powerful yet nuanced, a kind of rock confident enough in itself that it rarely needs force to make its point." Consequence Of Sound said, "It's a record that largely eschews typical hard rock fare, opting instead for a blues rock that slinks and wafts as much as it crunches and blusters. This unlikely dynamic makes WALKING PAPERS a pink slip you'll actually be happy to get." VH1 described the band's sound as "weathered, bluesy and broken in by years of experience. This is hard rock as made by grown-ass men with stories to tell and no one to please but themselves." "WALKING PAPERS is happier than a tornado in a trailer park to have our second record see the light of day via Loud & Proud Records," says Angell. "It's been a white-knuckled nail-biter since its conception, and we are pleased to have Tom and Madelyn behind the wheel as we make our way to the delivery room!" WALKING PAPERS have launched a PledgeMusic campaign for pre-orders. There fans will find exclusive offers for merchandise, unique items and experiences with the band, and the only place to purchase the song "This Is How It Ends" along with its companion comic book by Angell, graphic novelist Matt Hayward and artist Csaba Master. "WP2" track listing: 01. My Luck Pushed Back02. Death On The Lips03. Red & White04. Somebody Else05. Yours Completely06. Hard To Look Away07. Before You Arrived08. Don't Owe Me Nothin'09. This Is How It Ends10. I Know You're Lying11. Into The Truth

LIV SIN Releases Music Video For 'King Of The Damned'

LIV SIN Releases Music Video For 'King Of The Damned'

LIV SIN, the new band led by former SISTER SIN vocalist Liv "Sin" Jagrell, has released the official music video for a new song called "King Of The Damned". The track is a call to action for the public to do something about the extinction of the world's wildlife. The band has chosen to work with the Swedish animal rights organization Djurens Rätt during the single campaign.

Jagrell got the inspiration for the lyrics to "King Of The Damned" from Nick Brandt's "Inherit The Dust", a photo exhibition where Brandt revisited places where he used to take pictures of the wildlife that shows how these landscapes now has turned into wastelands filled with piles of garbage.

"This is extremely depressing and not flattering for mankind," says Jagrell. "Unfortunately, this is the way we are heading if we do nothing. Remember 'Lion King'? Well, soon there is not going to be any 'King Of The Jungle' left. The few lions left will become the 'King Of The Damned' instead."

LIV SIN's debut album, "Follow Me", was released in April via the Swedish label Despotz Records. The effort was co-produced by longtime ACCEPT and U.D.O. member Stefan Kaufmann.

Watch Teaser For PANTERA's Long-Awaited Fourth Home Video

Watch Teaser For PANTERA's Long-Awaited Fourth Home Video

Former PANTERA singer Philip Anselmo has uploaded a teaser for the band's long-awaited fourth home video. He wrote in the accompanying caption on Facebook: "Here's a sneak peak of Pantera Home Video 4 #24yearsold #teaser #pantera #panterahomevideo4 #comingsoon"

PANTERA's last home video, titled "3: Watch It Go", was released in 1997 on VHS format through Elektra Records. The set featured over two hours of music videos, concert footage and various backstage clips.

"Dimebag" Darrell Abbott's longtime girlfriend Rita Haney told the "Talk Toomey" podcast in a recent interview that the release of PANTERA's fourth home video will depend on the success of the upcoming "Dimevision Vol. 2: Roll With It Or Get Rolled Over" set, which contains video footage of the late PANTERA and DAMAGEPLAN guitarist captured between the mid-'80s and his later years.

She said: "There's not a market for DVDs anymore, and that's what the industry told us. They passed on [releasing 'Dimevision Vol. 2'], and I had to go to our really good friend Brian Slagel, just to get this going with Metal Blade. So this video is kind of, 'We're gonna prove you wrong. There's still this strong cult following for PANTERA home videos and 'Dimevision'.' So if the people get out and really support this package and go old school and not the digital format… 'cause it's so hard to get clearances for every little thing. That's exactly why the previous PANTERA videos are not out there on iTunes that you can get them, because trying to go back and get all those clearances, it would be so expensive today, there's no way. So we have to go with the old-school format. And if people will support it and show the love and it does well, then that gives us the green light for the next project. So it's really gonna depend on that."

Haney added that she has "so much footage" for a possible new PANTERA home video. "'Cause you have to think, after [1994's] 'Far Beyond Driven', there was still, like, four huge two-year tours for the live [album, 1997's 'Official Live: 101 Proof'], [1996's] 'The Great Southern Trendkill', [2000's] 'Reinventing The Steel'… So there is more than enough for more than one volume than four, for sure."

"Dimevision Vol. 2: Roll With It Or Get Rolled Over" will be released on November 24 via Metal Blade Records. Pre-orders are available at this location. The DVD/CD set — which will include more raw footage, true gems and classic Dimebag moments — will also contain five previously unreleased demos, picked from a vast catalog Dimebag accrued since Haney gave him his first four-track in 1984.

Dimebag was shot and killed by a crazed gunman while performing with DAMAGEPLAN at a Columbus, Ohio rock club in December 2004.

BLACK SABBATH's GEEZER BUTLER Has 'About 120 Riffs Written Down' For His Next Project

BLACK SABBATH's GEEZER BUTLER Has 'About 120 Riffs Written Down' For His Next Project

BLACK SABBATH bassist Geezer Butler has told Rolling Stone that he "about 120 riffs written down" for his next musical project, adding that he has "just got to pick a guitarist and sort through them."

Butler's last solo album, "Ohmwork", which was released under the band name GZR, sold less than 900 copies during its first week of release back in May 2005, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Geezer's first project under the GZR banner was 1995's "Plastic Planet". 1997's "Black Science", which was credited to GEEZER, featured vocalist Clark Brown, who also performed on "Ohmwork".

In February, BLACK SABBATH finished "The End" tour on in the band's hometown of Birmingham, England, closing out the quartet's groundbreaking 49-year career.

"If it were up to me, we'd still be touring now," Butler told Rolling Stone. "It was because [SABBATH guitarist] Tony's [Iommi] illness that we limited it to 81 dates. I would have gone on forever, if I was allowed to. If a one-off [concert] worked out [at some point in the future], I'd be on board. Otherwise I'm happy to let things lie."

A founding member of BLACK SABBATH, Butler is also the lyricist of such SABBATH classics as "War Pigs", "Iron Man", "Paranoid" and others.

On November 17, a documentary focusing on SABBATH's last-ever concert, "The End", will be made available in home video and audio packages, featuring footage of the entire historic show.

"The End" will be released as DVD/CD and Blu-ray/CDs set, a double-CD collection, a three-LP 180-gram vinyl package and a limited collector's edition.

The band decided to make this tour its last because Iommi, who was diagnosed with cancer in 2012 and is currently in remission, can no longer travel for extended amounts of time.

URIAH HEEP To Enter Studio With Producer JAY RUSTON

URIAH HEEP To Enter Studio With Producer JAY RUSTON

Legendary progressive rock band URIAH HEEP is set to commence the recording of its brand new studio album (the 25th in the group's storied career), which will be titled, appropriately enough, "Living The Dream".

"We have been together for 47 years and we have seen many bands come and go, so in effect we are 'Still Living The Dream,' so it was the perfect title for the new album," says URIAH HEEP guitarist and founding member Mick Box.

Jay Ruston has been called in to produce the album. Mick says: "We chose Jay because we admire his work with THE WINERY DOGS, STONE SOUR, BLACK STAR RIDERS, Paul Gilbert and EUROPE. Jay has either produced, mixed or both for these bands, and he will bring a fresh approach to HEEP, which we are very much looking forward to."

The plan is release the album through Frontiers in fall 2018 (release window subject to change). The band is beyond excited with the material written for the new album, which will include some epic additions to the band's huge catalog of rock staples and looks forward to sharing it with their fans around the world.

In the meantime, the band has announced four Canadian tour dates, with more shows in the works.

"The mighty HEEP are proudly able to tour in over 61 countries and we look forward to a packed touring schedule in 2018. Touring is in our blood and what we have a passion to do, and so 2018 is no exception," concludes Box.

A full tour in support of the new release will be announced in the coming months.

Asked in a recent interview with Gulf News how URIAH HEEP has been able to weather the lineup changes and handle the different personalities of the members over the decades, Box said: "I guess when anyone joins HEEP, there is already a firm template musically in place, so they just respect that and take that on board and fit in. Personality is very important and we all need to get on as we tour in over 60 countries, so we see a lot of each other. Right now we have a great blend of personalities and a very strong creative force, so we are all happy."

Mick also looked back on URIAH HEEP's five-decade career, saying: "It has been an amazing journey and there is no sign of it letting up. I have been blessed to be still doing what I love and the other boys all agree. We have fans all over the world who have been extremely loyal, and as each decade passes, we gain more and more young fans, which is wonderful. When a young fan shouts out please play 'Gypsy' and the song is older than him or her, then you know you have done something right. There is no better place than to be on that stage."

URIAH HEEP is:

Video Premiere: A PERFECT CIRCLE's 'The Doomed'

Video Premiere: A PERFECT CIRCLE's 'The Doomed'

A PERFECT CIRCLE has released the official music video for "The Doomed", the first new music to be heard from the band's expected 2018 album.

The clip, which was directed by Jeremy Danger and Travis Shinn, arrives as the band is in the final two weeks of its North American tour. A PERFECT CIRCLE also recently announced its first European tour in 14 years.

Upon arrival of "The Doomed", singer Maynard James Keenan said: "Fourteen years have passed since we released 'eMOTIVe'. A new release is long overdue. In light of this current difficult and polarized social, spiritual and political climate, we artist types need to open our big mouths and share the light a little louder."

"Years of life experience has brought our music to this moment," offered guitarist Billy Howerdel. "We know where we came from. Deeply connected to the path we're on."

A PERFECT CIRCLE recently announced it had signed a worldwide recording deal with BMG and is in the studio working with producer Dave Sardy on the follow-up to "eMOTIVe".

Back in April, A PERFECT CIRCLE debuted a different new song, "Hourglass", at a concert in St. Louis.

The band's lineup remains unchanged from 2013. Joining Keenan and Howerdel once again are James Iha on rhythm guitar, Matt McJunkins on bass and Jeff Friedl on drums.

During the time that A PERFECT CIRCLE has been mostly on hiatus, Howerdel launched an act called ASHES DIVIDE, while Keenan toured and recorded with TOOL and PUSCIFER while also running a winery.

A PERFECT CIRCLE's three previous albums are 2000's "Mer De Noms", 2003's "Thirteenth Step" and the aforementioned 2004 covers collection, "eMOTIVe".

Watch MARILYN MANSON's 'KILL4ME' Video Featuring JOHNNY DEPP

Marilyn Manson's music video for the song "KILL4ME" can be seen below. The clip once again features an appearance by the shock rocker's close friend, actor and fellow musician Johnny Depp.

"KILL4ME" is taken from Manson's latest album, "Heaven Upside Down", which was released on October 6. On the disc, he reunites with producer and film composer Tyler Bates following an epic collaboration on Manson's critically acclaimed 2015 release, "The Pale Emperor".

As previously reported, MARILYN MANSON has recruited Juan Alderete (THE MARS VOLTA) as the band's new bassist following the recent departure of Jeordie White (a.k.a. Twiggy Ramirez).

Alderete, who gained recognition in the '80s as a member of RACER X, made his live debut with Manson on November 5 at Ozzfest Meets Knotfest in Devore, California.

Manson fired White late last month after the musician was publicly accused of rape by his former girlfriend, Jessicka Addams of the riot grrrl band JACK OFF JILL.

White later responded to the accusations, saying that he did "not condone non-consensual sex of any kind." He added that he would be "taking some time" to spend with his family and focus on maintaining his several years of sobriety.

Manson suffered an "excruciating" injury at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom on September 30, resulting in a broken fibula that forced him to cancel two weeks of tour dates.

Listen To New PRETTY BOY FLOYD Song 'We Got The Power'

Listen To New PRETTY BOY FLOYD Song 'We Got The Power'

Frontiers Music Srl will release the new album from PRETTY BOY FLOYD, titled "Public Enemies", on December 1.

The second track from the upcoming release, "We Got The Power", can be streamed below. "Public Enemies" is exactly what'd you expect from these seasoned Sunset Strip veterans — a fun record meant to be played at maximum volume to help you forget about your worries, of which we all have plenty these days. PRETTY BOY FLOYD's Kristy Majors says: "Staying loyal to our 1980s roots, 'Public Enemies' is a true follow-up to the classic 'Leather Boyz With Electric Toyz'." Not too long ago, when rock was about having a good time, letting your hair down and creating chaos and anarchy, four guys got together in Hollywood and formed a band. New York City guitarist Kristy Majors hooked up with West Coast frontman Steve Summers and laid the foundation for their dream band. They worked, wrote songs and played and played and played. The band chose the name PRETTY BOY FLOYD because it seemed to describe them — four tough teens armed with guitar licks and teenage angst who set out to conquer the world.

As the new millennium rolled in, new music fans began to wonder what they had missed back in the heyday of '80s and early '90s sleaze rock. A whole new breed of young fans who weren't born when the band first emerged began to discover their music. The original fans from back in the day and the new fans found common ground — a love of PRETTY BOY FLOYD's music, sleazy shows, and fun times. Never mind what the critics think, or what trends may have come and gone. Having outlasted many of the critics who cried "they'll never make it," PRETTY BOY FLOYD continues to record and tour the world winning over news fans both young and old. "Public Enemies" track listing:

It's Official: STONE TEMPLE PILOTS Recruit One-Time 'The X Factor' Singer JEFF GUTT As New Frontman

It's Official: STONE TEMPLE PILOTS Recruit One-Time 'The X Factor' Singer JEFF GUTT As New Frontman

STONE TEMPLE PILOTS have selected one-time "The X Factor" contestant Jeff Gutt as their new vocalist. Gutt, who was a runner-up in season three of the reality television music competition show created by Simon Cowell, was announced as the band's latest singer during a SiriusXM special earlier tonight (Tuesday, November 14) hosted by Eddie Trunk.

Gutt originally auditioned for STONE TEMPLE PILOTS in September 2016 and was officially named the band's new singer in May 2017. He has spent the last year secretly writing and recording new material in Redondo Beach, California with bandmembers Dean DeLeo, Robert DeLeo and Eric Kretz.

Robert DeLeo said that he first found out about Gutt while he was on the road with the HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES. "We were playing Pine Knob — I don't know what it's called now; I know it as Pine Knob — up in Detroit, which is where [Jeff is] from," the bassist said. "And after the show, there was a musician who said, 'Hey, man, you should check this guy out.' And that's where I kind of heard of him first — it was through that guy. And it just happened that it came together like that."

Regarding how he came to try out for STP, Jeff said: "I had heard about [the audition process], but I was on tour in the Middle East with my band at the time, so I was, like, doing my own thing, and that was everything that I had going on. And then when I got back, I was driving and I heard… I can't remember what song it was, but a STONE TEMPLE PILOTS song came on the radio. So I called my buddy in New York who knows everybody in the music industry, and I was, like, 'Hey, did they ever find a singer?' And he was, like, 'You know what? I'll send 'em your stuff right now.' And three days later, I got a call."

Gutt said that he felt like he had the STP gig "before I even got in the room [with the other guys], to tell you the truth, just because if you don't feel that way, you're probably not gonna get it. You have to be confident," he explained. "I mean, not cocky confidence, but I know my shit, I know what I'm doing. I've studied my craft. I've studied [original STONE TEMPLE PILOTS singer] Scott [Weiland] and the people Scott studied, and other singers of the era. I've really put in a lot of time into that, and if you're not willing to do all of that, you're not gonna be on the level to even be around these guys."

Jeff went on to say that becoming STONE TEMPLE PILOTS' new frontman feels like "joining LED ZEPPELIN, because, to me, they're my LED ZEPPELIN."

A November 2016 article from Entertainment Tonight claimed Gutt was chosen to front STONE TEMPLE PILOTS before the end of last year, but a band representative shot down the report, claiming at the time that "no final decision" had yet been made.

Gutt appeared on "The X Factor" in 2013, where he was mentored by Kelly Rowland and impressed the other judges with his covers of songs like "Creep", "Dream On" and "Hallelujah".

Gutt will make his live debut with STONE TEMPLE PILOTS tonight at a special invitation-only concert for SiriusXM listeners at The Troubadour in West Hollywood, California.

The full concert will premiere at 3 p.m. on Friday, November 17, exclusively on SiriusXM and can be heard on Howard Stern's Howard 101 channel as well as on Lithium, channel 34. It will also be available via SiriusXM.com.

A recording of Gutt singing with STONE TEMPLE PILOTS during soundcheck for The Troubadour concert can be heard below.

A new STONE TEMPLE PILOTS single, titled "Meadow", has already been serviced to radio and will make its online debut on Wednesday.

STP had been without a vocalist since November 2015, when Chester Bennington — who joined the group in early 2013 — departed to spend more time with his main band LINKIN PARK.

Weiland, who reunited with the group in 2010 after an eight-year hiatus but was dismissed in 2013, died in December 2015 of a drug overdose while on a solo tour.

STONE TEMPLE PILOTS revealed last month that they found "somebody that fits the bill" as the band's new lead singer, but did not announce who he was.

STP last performed live, with Bennington on vocals, for a one-off reunion concert in California in March 2016.

IRON MAIDEN: Entire 'The Book Of Souls: Live Chapter' Performance Video Available Online

IRON MAIDEN: Entire 'The Book Of Souls: Live Chapter' Performance Video Available Online

Warner Music will release IRON MAIDEN's "The Book Of Souls: Live Chapter" on November 17 worldwide (through BMG in the USA). This live recording comprises fifteen songs captured during "The Book Of Souls World Tour", which covered thirty-nine countries across six continents during 2016 and 2017, and was seen by over two million fans. "The Book Of Souls: Live Chapter" will be released physically in CD, deluxe CD and vinyl audio formats, with the concert film available to stream free online or as a digital download.

You can now watch "The Book Of Souls: Live Chapter" using the YouTube playlist below.

Produced by Tony Newton and IRON MAIDEN founder member and bass player Steve Harris, the album is based on this year's setlist and is a faithful record of the epic show, including six songs from "The Book Of Souls", the band's most recent studio album, along with many other classics and fan favorites.

Steve comments: "We spent a huge amount of time working on this as I wanted to get it as close to the MAIDEN live experience as I possibly could and to represent our fans from different parts of the world. This meant listening to literally hours upon hours of tapes from every show, to select material and construct a sound that would run consistently across the whole album and capture the excitement of a new country like El Salvador alongside such regular favourites as Donington or Wacken."

MAIDEN manager Rod Smallwood adds: "'The Book Of Souls' world tour was a huge undertaking, not least for Bruce [Dickinson, vocals] who started the tour singing in public for the very first time since recovering from throat cancer. He also piloted Ed Force One, upgraded last year from a Boeing 757 to a 747 so we could go further and faster to visit some fantastic cities and fans all round the world. This year continued that excitement bringing us our most successful North American and U.K. tours ever. It was a very special tour in a great many ways so we felt we wanted to document it for both ourselves and for our fans. Steve has done an incredible job putting together this set from cities around the world and we've made sure the deluxe CD will be available in a matching book format to 'The Book of Souls' release." CORROSION OF CONFORMITY Members Discuss Their Return In 'No Cross No Crown' Album Trailer

CORROSION OF CONFORMITY Members Discuss Their Return In 'No Cross No Crown' Album Trailer

CORROSION OF CONFORMITY will release its new album, "No Cross No Crown", on January 12 via Nuclear Blast Entertainment. It will be made available on CD, digital, vinyl, and cassette formats.

In advance of the disc's release, CORROSION OF CONFORMITY has unveiled part one of a multi-part blog series. In the clip below, the band discusses how it feels "to be back."

In 2014, after nearly a straight decade traversing the globe as a guitarist with New Orleans supergroup DOWN, Pepper Keenan reconnected with the core CORROSION OF CONFORMITY trio of Woody Weatherman, Mike Dean and Reed Mullin to hit the road hard. "Reed called me and mentioned maybe playing a couple shows," Keenan recalls. "I said, 'Let's just go to Europe and see if it works.' So we went to Europe and then ended up going back four times in one year... We toured for a year and then started tracking about ten or eleven months ago." Recording in North Carolina with longtime producer John Custer, CORROSION OF CONFORMITY cut "No Cross No Crown" in about forty days over the course of a year. "We took our time and didn't put any pressure on ourselves," Keenan says. "I'd go up from New Orleans and we'd do four or five days at a time, just hacking away at it. It was fun because we did it like a demo, but in a studio. We were writing and putting it on tape at the same time. We took what parts we thought were great from the old days and weren't scared to go backwards. It kinda wrote itself that way." Some of these new jams sound like could've easily been on "Wiseblood" or "Deliverance", two of CORROSION OF CONFORMITY's most revered records. On "No Cross No Crown", beefy Southern stompers like "The Luddite", "Little Man" and "Forgive Me" are interspersed with melancholy guitar interludes like "No Cross", "Matre's Diem" and "Sacred Isolation" — just like SABBATH used to do in the '70s. "We started doing that on 'Deliverance'," Keenan points out. "My theory on that is that if you're trying to make a record flow, you need to break it up a little. When you need a breather, write an interlude. I like writing those mellow pieces just to space things out and make the next thing come in heavier." The album's iconic title comes from a recent tour stop in England. "We were playing this old church from like the 1500s that had been turned into a performing arts center," Keenan recalls. "The dressing room had stained glass windows and one of them showed this poor fella being persecuted. Underneath it said, 'no cross no crown.' So I just took that idea. We're not trying to be on a soapbox, but we used it as a catalyst to write songs around." Which is to say that "No Cross No Crown" has a lot less to do with politics or religion than its title implies. "I think everyone needs to get away from that mindset in general," Keenan offers. "It just seems to be a mess out there nowadays. We need to get back to being humans and taking care of each other and simple things like that. For us, the terminology 'no cross no crown' is a theme. It's mentioned in like three songs throughout the album. We just weaved it through as we went." "No Cross No Crown" stands as irrefutable proof of CORROSION OF CONFORMITY's ability to overcome. "CORROSION OF CONFORMITY and the prior records I've done with them didn't just go away," Keenan observes. "It's an honor to be back out there and have an opportunity to do it again in a real way and not some washed-up reunion thing. Even before we wrote the record, we were out there for a year seeing there was a demand for it and that there was a void that we could fill. That's been CORROSION OF CONFORMITY's deal from day one. We're not chasing anybody around. We're not gonna worry about what the new trends are. CORROSION OF CONFORMITY is CORROSION OF CONFORMITY." "No Cross No Crown" track listing:

01. Novus Deus02. The Luddite03. Cast The First Stone04. No Cross05. Wolf Named Crow06. Little Man07. Matre's Diem08. Forgive Me09. Nothing Left To Say10. Sacred Isolation11. Old Disaster12. E.L.M.13. No Cross No Crown14. A Quest To Believe (A Call To The Void)15. Son And Daughter

The song "Cast The First Stone" can be streamed below. In advance of the release of "No Cross No Crown", CORROSION OF CONFORMITY will join BLACK LABEL SOCIETY for a mammoth North American live takeover. The tour begins December 27 in Denver, Colorado and will wind its way through nearly four dozen cities, the journey coming to a close February 27, 2018. Additional support will be provided by EYEHATEGOD and RED FANG on select shows.

EXHORDER Is Back! New Lineup, Shows Announced

EXHORDER Is Back! New Lineup, Shows Announced

Legendary American thrash metal band EXHORDER is back and has signed a worldwide management deal with All Independent Service Alliance (AISA) .

The new EXHORDER lineup features founding members Vinnie LaBella (guitar) and Kyle Thomas (vocals) along with Jason Viebrooks (HEATHEN) on bass, Marzi Montazeri (ex-SUPERJOINT RITUAL, PHILIP H. ANSELMO & THE ILLEGALS) on guitar and Sasha Horn (FORBIDDEN) on drums.

LaBella commented: "Over our 30-year history, we have obviously had more than our fair share of struggles. Struggles that have broken us apart on several occasions. Whether those struggles were internal, external or both, no matter the situation, we always find are way back to one another. How? Why? It took me 30 years to realize it's because the relationships run too deep, the songs are timeless, and the fans are ageless. It's meant so much to us and so many others. And it's for these reasons EXHORDER can't be broken, even by the hands that created it. Like it or not, love it or hate it, EXHORDER is forever and it's my duty, my honor and privilege to do it again!"

Thomas added: "It would probably be best to never say never for the rest of my life, because I thought that this could not happen again. However, here we are one more time!

"I am extremely pumped to take the stage yet again with EXHORDER to bring to life some of the most classic songs in thrash metal and hardcore history. We will put everything into it as always, doing our best to see to it that no one will ever walk away from an EXHORDER show dissatisfied. We're back!"

2018 will be extremely exciting for the band, as EXHORDER will play its first shows in the U.S. in February and is planning on taking summer festivals by storm! The band will perform its legendary first album, "Slaughter In The Vatican", and sophomore album, "The Law", in their entirety on Friday, February 9 and Saturday, February 10, respectively, at the St. Vitus Bar in Brooklyn, New York. EXHORDER will also play a homecoming show in New Orleans at Southport Hall on February 12.

EXHORDER relased two albums in the early 1990s through the Roadrunner label — 1990's "Slaughter in the Vatican" and 1992's "The Law" — before breaking up, with Kyle going on to form FLOODGATE (and also briefly appearing live as the vocalist for TROUBLE). Thomas subsequently spent time fronting PITTS VS PREPS, which he described as "center[ing] around the truest sound of heavy metal in the realm of old JUDAS PRIEST and IRON MAIDEN."

EXHORDER is cited by many as the originators of the riff-heavy power-groove approach popularized by PANTERA.

Poland's Metal Mind Productions re-released the two albums from EXHORDER in May 2008. Each limited-edition digipack title (limited to 2,000 copies) was made available on golden disc, digitally remastered using 24-bit technology.
