HORRIFIED Sign With Shadow Kingdom RecordsShadow Kingdom Records has announced the signing of the UK's Horrified. The first fruit of this union shall be the band's forthcoming third album, Allure Of The Fallen, which will be released this Fall.
A work of towering, melodic death metal majesty, Allure Of The Fallen is the record by which Horrified continue their ascent and truly stake their claim as the genre's elite - and render a new modern classic to the canon. Hailing from Newcastle upon Tyne, Horrified was born in 2012 with humble beginnings. An acolyte worshiping the altar of old-school death metal, founder and creator Dan Alderson would later transform the project into a full band.
Like so many of their predecessors, Horrified took a sidestep and evolved into melodic and grandiose territory, adding twin-guitar harmonies and increasing its scope into epic territory without sacrificing their original vision of savage OSDM. After releasing two full-length albums on various labels, assaulting UK underground audiences with tight, energetic live performances and taking their aural onslaught to European audiences, Horrified took steps up from the underground with wide, positive acclaim for the second full-length album Of Despair.
But now, with the impending release of third album Allure Of The Fallen, Horrified has been reborn into something far more vast than ever originally imagined. Comprising six expansive tracks in an epic 46 minutes, Allure Of The Fallen finds the band in an enviable state of maturity, exuding class and power in equal measure, their ever-winding but never-extraneous compositions truly taking the listener on a journey into what real - and really melodic - death metal can encompass. Thus, Horrified's signing to Shadow Kingdom for the album's release is a logical alliance to bolster the band's ever-growing evolution and constant broadening of vision, scope, and horizons. Patient but never slumbering, Horrified arises from the ashes of a barren landscape, shrouded in majesty, resurrected in ancient art. This is the Allure Of The Fallen: pay witness to the dawn of majesty.
Album release date, cover art, tracklisting, and first track premiere to be announced shortly. Until then, visit Horrified on Facebook.

DEAD ASYLUM Stream New Song "Defiance"Dead Asylum will release sophomore album Death Always Wins on June 2nd. On the follow-up to 2013 debut General Carnage, the Vancouver, Canada band has sharpened the songwriting to a fine point and bolstered its established muscular attack with a harder rhythmic punch and an even deadlier arsenal of riffs.
Enjoy a stream of album opener "Defiance" via the Soundcloud audio player below:
With an unexpected combination of thrash and melodeath elements reminiscent of the Gothenburg Sound (At The Gates, Arch Enemy), Dead Asylum's Death Always Wins is one killer listen. The songs on Death Always Wins range from thrashy headbangers, to technical compositions, and chantable, heavy metal anthems. While it might seem like their sound covers the spectrum of metal, everything is tied together by brutal dual vocals and melodic leads. Lyrical themes include revolution and political uprising, the apocalypse, and-as the band name alludes-twisted facets of the human psyche. The band's famously intense live shows are about to get fiercer when the new material is left beaten and bloodied on the stage.
Death Always Wins was tracked at Jam Factory Studios in Port Coquitlam, BC; recorded and edited by Roger Mowat; and mix/mastered by Chris Holmes. Pierre-Alain (3mmi Design) was responsible for the album art.
Tracklisting:
“Defiance”
“Death Always Wins”
“Between Me And The Grave”
“Bury The Living”
“Forgotten Sacrifice”
“Bred To Die”
“Welcome”
“Inmate 666”
Drummer Samantha Landa in many ways defines Dead Asylum's unbridled energy and inability to ever just stand still. Landa performed with Brazilian thrashers and Napalm Records artist Nervosa for three months throughout North America and Europe in 2016, including on a tour package that also featured Destruction, Flotsam & Jetsam, and Enforcer. And all the while ran her online business from the road.
Previously, Landa even served as a Pool Girl on the annual 70000 Tons of Metal cruise.
Dead Asylum will hit the road for the American SaniTOURium Tour, beginning in August. Confirmed dates thus far can be found below.

ORDEN OGAN: "Gunman“ video clip releasedGerman Power metal band ORDEN OGAN premieres the first video clip taken from the upcoming album „Gunmen”. The group’s new music video, filmed for the song “Gunman”, was once again directed by Rainer “Zipp” Fränzen, who works with the band since 2012’s “To The End” album and its video releases “The Things We Believe In” and “Land Of The Dead”.
“The creation of the “Gunman” clip was once again real team work”, band leader Seeb Levermann states. "The new ORDEN OGAN album "Gunmen" is set in a dark fantasy Wild West environment, so obviously we had to go to Monument Valley (Utah) to shoot there. There is no other place in the world that is more "Wild West”. We shot at the classic Monument Valley scenery as well as at the famous John Ford’s Point and also did horseback rides.”
The second extensive part of filming took place in Germany, but also here the band tried something new. “A Western city in an adventure park proved to be the perfect location”, Seeb smiles. “Things came full circle here, because we’ve also recorded the drums for “Gunman” there - to be more specific - in the “Western Saloon” of the “Fort Fun” adventure park. We wanted to have this huge 80ies snare ambience that you can only get from big rooms. When the Wild West concept took form, we learned about the Saloon (in Fort Fun), did some test recordings there and were totally blown away. The hall sounds amazing and "Gunmen" may be my best sounding mix so far."
The “Gunmen” album consists of 10 songs, incl. a guest appearance by former Leaves’ Eyes/Theatre Of Tragedy vocalist Liv Kristine on the track “Come With Me To The Other Side”.
“Gunmen” was once again produced by the band’s guitarist/vocalist Seeb Levermann, who just recently has also completed mix & mastering of the upcoming Rhapsody Of Fire release “Legendary Years”.
“Gunmen” will be released on July 7th, available as CD, ltd. Digipak (incl. “Live At Wacken 2016” bonus DVD), ltd. colored Vinyl (red and silver), ltd. Picture Vinyl and ltd. “coffin” box set (incl. ltd. Digipak, a figure of the band mascot "Alister Vale" (ca. 15 cm tall) and more). 1

BLOODCLOT Feat. CRO-MAGS, Ex-DANZIG Members: Listen To New Song 'Kali'BLOODCLOT, the project featuring John Joseph of the CRO-MAGS, plus former members of QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE (Joey Castillo, drums; Nick Oliveri, bass), and DANZIG (Todd Youth, guitar), will release its new album, "Up In Arms", on July 14 via Metal Blade Records. The cover artwork for the disc can be seen below.
The song "Kali", taken from "Up In Arms", can be streamed below.
BLOODCLOT has confirmed a near-three-week U.S. tour with NEGATIVE APPROACH. ] In addition to being the leader of one of the most influential hardcore bands of all time — the CRO-MAGS — Joseph is an author, an outspoken advocate of plant-based nutrition, and a competitive Ironman tri-athlete. Youth — who played in AGNOSTIC FRONT at the age of 12 — has played guitar with a myriad of artists, including DANZIG, Glen Campbell, MOTÖRHEAD, Ace Frehley, and many more. Additionally, Nick Oliveri has played bass in QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, alongside one of the most sought-after drummers in the scene, Joey Castillo — who has also sat behind the kit for DANZIG and EAGLES OF DEATH METAL.
These four renowned musicians came together when CRO-MAGS guitarist AJ Novello was unable to play a show, and John Joseph called Todd Youth to fill in for him. The two rekindled their friendship and enjoyed playing together so much that a decision was made to reform BLOODCLOT (whose origins date back to a 1981 BAD BRAINS tour). Todd began the songwriting process, and soon after, Joey Castillo and Nick Oliveri were recruited to join the band. With the new lineup in place, and songs to record, Metal Blade Records CEO Brian Slagel offered BLOODCLOT a worldwide deal.

Regarding how "Incorruptible" compares to previous ICED EARTH albums, guitarist and main songwriter Jon Schaffer told Metal Wani: "They're all kind of their own thing, but I have a very strong gut feeling about this, and so does everybody in the band, that this is one of the really special ones. So I put it up there with 'The Dark Saga' [1996], 'Something Wicked This Way Comes' [1998], 'Dystopia' [2011] — it's in that league of records — so it's really gonna be something special, man. I know musicians always say that, but there is something going on here, so it's cool. We're all very excited about it."
On the topic of the concept for the lyrics on "Incorruptible", Schaffer said: "There is no concept on this record; it's just ten individual tracks not related to each other. Actually, on 'Plagues Of Babylon' [2014], it was only the first six that were related to the 'Something Wicked' story; it was like a zombie apocalypse within the 'Something Wicked' framework. But this album, it's just ten individual songs. We have one called 'Clear The Way', which is about the Irish Brigade at the Battle Of Fredericksburg — very tragic, actually — but that's a big epic, like ten minutes; and then we have one called 'Black Flag', which is a pirate song. It's quite a… I think I pulled it off pretty well with the lyrics, to be able to tell such a big story in a very short amount of time. I think it's gonna be a highlight of the record. And then on [the last European] tour, [we opened] the show with a new song that will be the opener on the album — it's called 'Great Heathen Army' — that's got a Viking kind of a vibe to it. So there's a lot of different things, and none of it's really related. There's one called 'Raven Wing'… I can't really think of all of them righ now… 'Seven Headed Whore' — that's one that's actually pretty brutal; it's like a total kick in the balls. But, you know, there's a lot of varied emotions on this, and it's cool stuff, man."
Asked about singer Stu Block's contribution to "Incorruptible", Schaffer said: "Well, he came at the end of… for about the last month or so of pre-production… maybe a little bit more… five weeks… and we worked on his vocal parts. We do it like Stu and I normally do it. Some of the stuff we write together. I mean, I write the musical arrangements and do all that — he doesn't play any instruments — but he comes in… At the end of the writing process is when we focus on his parts. And the lyrics that we worked on together, on a song called 'Brother', which is about our brotherhood, [between] Stu and I and within the band… We've gone through a lot of shit together and we've had a lot of great times together, but the bond is very strong, and that's clear. So it's just a song, really, for us. And then he wrote the lyrics for 'The Great Heathen Army'. I'm trying to think… I can't think of 'em, man; I have to look at the list [of songs]. But usually, he goes to an area and works, and I go in my area and work. And, like I said, on some songs we collaborate sometimes. On this one, the only we did was 'Brother'… We work in the way we always work. And it's a very cool chemistry."
ICED EARTH took a break from touring in 2015, primarily due to Schaffer's second cervical fusion surgery.
Longtime ICED EARTH drummer Brent Smedley returned to the band for the current recording and touring cycle. Smedley had to step down due to personal family reasons in 2013 shortly before the recording of "Plagues Of Babylon". 1

TANKARD Releases Video For 'One Foot In The Grave' Title TrackGerman alcohol-soaked thrash metal act TANKARD will release its seventeenth studio album, "One Foot In The Grave", on June 2 via Nuclear Blast. The follow-up to 2014's "R.I.B. (Rest In Beer)" was recorded at Gernhart Studios in Troisdorf with producer Martin Buchwalter (DESTRUCTION, ACCUSER, PERZONAL WAR, SUIDAKRA).
The official video for the "One Foot In The Grave" title track can be seen below.
"One Foot In The Grave" track listing:
01. Pay To Pray02. Arena Of The True Lies03. Don`t Bullshit Us!04. One Foot In The Grave05. Syrian Nightmare06. Northern Crown (Lament Of The Undead King)07. Lock`Em Up!08. The Evil That Men Display09. Secret Order 151610. Sole Grinder
This time, the album is going to have a serious streak, not only filled with humor but criticizing today's society. Even the traditional beer song "Secret Order 1516" displays some critical elements. But don't worry: fans of the typical TANKARD humor won't be disappointed! With songs like "Sole Grinder", the band hasn't forgotten their raison d'être. This song pays tribute to the band's manager Buffo (Gerre: "The funniest choleric person in Germany") in an ironic way.
The cover artwork for "One Foot In The Grave" was created by Patrick Strogulski, who is a student of Sebastian Krüger, the recent artwork designer of TANKARD. He also created the cover artwork for the "A Girl Called Cerveza" and "R.I.B." albums. With this, the iconic band mascot, the TANKARD Alien, celebrates his return after about 13 years of absence. The alien was born in 1989 with the "Alien" EP and has already graced five album covers. The TANKARD fan club "Maniac Aliens" is also named after it.
States TANKARD vocalist Andreas "Gerre" Geremia: "Mister Strogulski has once again created a real masterpiece and surpassed himself. Our first plan was that I would be on the cover instead of the alien... but, lucky me, it ended up being the alien..." 3

THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA Feat. SOILWORK, ARCH ENEMY Members: 'Something Mysterious' VideoThe official video for the song "Something Mysterious" from the Swedish classic/progressive rock supergroup THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA — featuring members of metal frontrunners SOILWORK and ARCH ENEMY — can be seen below. The track is taken from THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA's third studio album, "Amber Galactic", which is being released today (Friday, May 19) via Nuclear Blast. The disc was recorded at Handsome Hard Studio in Lund, Sweden. The album follows THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA's two previous releases, 2012's "Internal Affairs" and 2015's "Skyline Whispers".
THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA guitarist David Andersson says: "Almost everyone, no matter who they are, has experienced one, or perhaps even a few, epic nights in their lives. That night when you met the love of your life, and you couldn't go to sleep because your heart was beating too fast out of pure excitement and joy. That night when you lost the love of your life. The night when you thought that no matter what happens next, I'll remember this night for the rest of my life. 'Something Mysterious' is a song about standing at that crossroads, gathering the courage to take that plunge into the unknown, knowing your life will never be the same again."
"Amber Galactic" is being made available as a limited edition digipak CD featuring an alternate cover art (see below), 2LP vinyl (black and violet sparkle) and as digital download and stream via all known platforms.
THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA singer Björn Strid states: "'Amber Galactic' is a relationship drama set in space, the first classic rock space opera on double vinyl.
"As seasoned musicians, we're taking this project seriously, although we might come across as slightly retrofuturistic at times, there's no irony involved. It's just us trying to shape our future into a place where our race is led by female space commanders with pearl necklaces and a quasar sense of gravity.
"'Amber Galactic' is about setting free from genre boundaries and expectations that are put on people like us. We just want to create music that we would like to hear ourselves, but that isn't only for us.
"THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA is here to set you free, to invite you to enjoy music in whatever form it is presented.
"For this particular journey, we'd like you to follow us into space, but who knows where we'll go next! After entering the NFO universe, you won't ever be the same!"
"Amber Galactic" track listing:
01. Midnight Flyer02. Star Of Rio03. Gemini04. Sad State Of Affairs05. Jennie06. Domino07. Josephine08. Space Whisperer09. Something Mysterious10. Saturn In Velvet11. Just Another Night (bonus track, limited-edition digipak, vinyl)12. Fly Tonight (Never Rewind) (bonus track, Japan only)
Strid previousy stated about the album: "'Amber Galactic' was made during late nights and way too early mornings, when sometimes, in the corner of your eye, you can catch a glimpse of another dimension, where all the women are heartbroken space commanders in evening gowns, the champagne is always free and the drugs won't hurt you.
"We wanted to create more than just a listening experience; instead we want it to be an alternative reality.
"We hope that after listening to 'Amber Galactic', you'll be wide-eyed, horny and slightly drunk."
Guitarist David Andersson added: "Musicianship in itself is not interesting, neither are the technical aspects of creating music. The ideas and visions behind the music are the only things really worthy of in-depth discussions.
"We've all reached a point where we can all pretty much play and sing whatever we want.
"We didn't talk much about chord changes or amplifiers during the recording sessions. But we spent a lot of time discussing Kierkegaard's concept of anxiety, different vintages of sparkling wine, the psychoacoustic aspects of modulation, the innate superiority of women and why a pearl necklace always look better when whoever wears it has a bored expression on her face."
When asked about the direction of THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA within the realm of classic rock, Strid explained with a chuckle: "Most other classic rock bands sound like weed or LSD — we sound like cocaine."
THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA is:
Björn Strid - VocalsSharlee D'Angelo - BassDavid Andersson - GuitarRichard Larsson - KeyboardsJonas Källsbäck - DrumsSebastian Forslund - Guitar, Percussion

DGM’s last album (their eighth), The Passage, was released in August 2016 and marked the culmination of almost 20 years of hard work that started back in 1997 and has pushed the Italian band into the elite rankings of the international progressive metal scene. Over the years, DGM has managed to tour the world, taking part in some of the biggest and most celebrated metal festivals around the globe and sharing the stage with the likes of Heaven and Hell, Dream Theater, Symphony X, Avantasia, Scorpions, and many others.

“Passing Stages is the best possible illustration of what DGM are capable of on a stage these days,” says Simone Mularoni. “We put our hearts and souls into the making this one and managed to capture magical nights that we'll remember forever. In our career, Passing Stages will be a milestone in our discography and a great conclusion of the first decade of this line-up. Here’s to the future.”
Herein are captured two separate performances for fans to enjoy via audio on CD and MP3 and visually via DVD or Blu-Ray. The first show is the entire performance held in front of the inaugural Frontiers Metal Festival, in Trezzo Sull’Adda (Milano) on October 30th, 2016 and has a set-list centered around the latest album, The Passage.
“We wanted to show to the whole world how great the Italian fans are and how much we love to play in our home country, and we had the best occasion with the first edition of Frontiers Metal Festival,” continues Simone. “With our last album, The Passage, I think we managed to reach an even bigger crowd and that particular day was really one of a kind... the best Italian live club, packed with fans, together with a lot of friends and a gig focused on the last album.”
The second show captured sees the band in action at the ProgPower Festival in Atlanta, GA on September 11th, 2014. The setlist shows an emphasis on the albums Frame and Momentum.
“Our second time at ProgPower USA was an important step of the Momentum tour and filming that evening was mandatory,” explains Simone. “We felt the warmth of the crowd, we worked with fabulous technicians and with one of the best crews ever. The atmosphere pervading the Center Stage in Atlanta is unique and we did our best to honor this awesome festival with a performance at the top of our abilities. STEVEN WILSON Launches Official Music Video For “Pariah”Steven Wilson has released a video for the track “Pariah”, featured on his upcoming fifth album, To The Bone. The clip, featuring Ninet Tayeb, is available for streaming below.
To The Bone is a gloriously dynamic modernist pop record as imagined by the UK's biggest underground artist. The album releases on August 18th. Pre-orders are live at this location.
Fusing driving futurist rock and spectral electronics to elegiac hyper-space ambience and dizzying, squalling guitars, To The Bone is Steven Wilson's hat-tip to the hugely ambitious progressive pop records of his youth (think Peter Gabriel's So, Talk Talk's Colour Of Spring, Tears For Fears' Seeds Of Love).
Lyrically, the album's 11 tracks veer from the paranoid chaos of the post-truth era and the creeping self-loathing of the technology age to steely fly-on-the-wall observations of the everyday lives of religious fundamentalists with a welcome shot or two of wide-eyed escapism. Sonically and melodically stunning, To The Bone is a high definition snapshot of the disconcerting times we live in.
The follow up to 2015’s Hand. Cannot. Erase., To The Bone is Steven Wilson’s first album since signing with Caroline International (Iggy Pop, Underworld, Thurston Moore, Glass Animals).
Formerly the founder and mainstay of outsider rock band Porcupine Tree, Steven released his first record under his own name, Insurgentes, in 2008. He has been resolutely independent throughout a three-decade career that’s made him the most successful British artist you've never heard of.
Tracklisting:

“The Same Asylum As Before”
“Refuge”
“Permanating”

VÖLUR Streaming “Breaker Of Oaths” From Upcoming Ancestors AlbumToronto-based experimental doom trio Völur will release its sophomore album, Ancestors, on June 2nd via Prophecy Productions. Produced by the band and mixed by Charles Spearin (Broken Social Scene), Ancestors is the follow-up to Völur’s debut, Disir. The new song, "Breaker Of Oaths”, is available for streaming below.
Moving between high-tension heaviness and beautiful pastoral moods, Völur aims to reflect the world of primordial nature inspired by ancient myths and chilling poems of death and heroism. Ancestors shares the stories and sagas of great men from the past that have been shrouded by the obscurity of time while simultaneously spotlighting one of North America’s most ambitious and striving young acts.
Just as the band's 2016 debut, Disir, dealt with themes surrounding female figures from mythology, Ancestors focuses on the heroine’s male counterparts and is the second part of a planned four album series spotlighting various elements of the old Germanic spiritual world. Völur’s songs are long, quasi-narrative pieces that feature Laura C. Bates' violin assuming the role traditionally executed by a guitar, allowing the bass playing of Lucas Gadke (also of Blood Ceremony) to take on unique responsibilities in both lead and melodic roles while drummer Jimmy Payment (Do Make Say Think) feeds the band’s bombastic, crushing oomph. Doom music (not necessarily metal) is about slow contemplation and the transfixing power of heaviness and Völur’s weighty riffs, layers of feedback, dynamic, angular melodies and moments of beauty give heed to the band’s promise to always seek newer modes of musical expression and discovery.

“Breaker Of Silence”
“Breaker Of Skulls”

FORTIS AMOR - Full Album Audio Teaser StreamingFortis Amor - the melodic progressive metal project entirely conceived and executed by guitarist/vocalist/composer/producer Ryan Duke - will release a self-titled full-length album tomorrow, May 19th. While Fortis Amor's 10 tracks nearly convince the listener that they're hearing a full band, the project is entirely Ryan Duke's making, aside from select guest solos by Jack Daniels (War Of Ages, Hope For The Dying) and Zack Uidl (ex-7 Horns 7 Eyes).
The album is now available for pre-order via Bandcamp. A full album audio preview is available for streaming below.
Fortis Amor is comprised of Ryan Duke's earlier musical musings, stretching back nearly two decades. More recently, Duke has released two EP's (also available via Bandcamp) of more modern takes on the genre (2009's Passage and 2012's Seismic). With one listen, it's clear that the different styles and influences on Fortis Amor quite literally transcend any recent metal trend defined by a period of time. After spending so much time honing a signature sound, incorporating years of inspiration becomes inevitable.
Fortis Amor delivers a progressive blend that will appeal to any listener. The album opens gracefully with an orchestral arrangement accompanied by intricate acoustic guitar, but wastes no time revealing its true nature - a blend of hooky, rhythmic metal accented by passionate vocals and mixed atmospheric undertones. The overall tone of Fortis Amor is positive emotion, which is reflected by the project name, meaning "strong love" in Latin.
Stay tuned for more exclusive material coming from Fortis Amor leading up to the May 19th release of the self-titled album.
Fortis Amor tracklisting:
“Particles”
“Holding On To Nothing”
“Renewal” (feat. Jack Daniels - War of Ages, Hope For The Dying)

“Upon Yourself”
“Bring This Petition To The Castle”
“The Maiden's Vineyard”
“Outpouring”

DISPLEASED DISFIGUREMENT To Release Origin Of Abhorrence Album In June; “Malignant Misery” Single StreamingSouth African slam lords, Displeased Disfigurement, are about to change the landscape of brutal death metal forever. Mark your calendars for June 9th - that date will go down in history as the day the earth crumbled beneath the crushing surge of slam known as Origin Of Abhorrence.
Formed way back in 2001 with original members Darius Wilken and Nick Louverdis, the guys played numerous shows around South Africa, spewing a more primitive, traditional death metal sound. After several successful years in the underground, in 2013 the band released their critically-acclaimed masterpiece of slam, entitled Extermination Process. Riding a tsunami of slam for the next couple of years, where they garnered many favourable reviews, the band then parted ways with founding member Nick in 2015.
With the search for a suitable replacement as priority one, the guys came across Riian Els (ex-Bile Of Man, ex-Funeral God). With the lineup complete, the band commenced writing for what would become their much more brutal and slammerific sophomore effort, Origin Of Abhorrence.
Tracklisting:

“Analgestic Subjection”
“Infernal Machine”
“Malignant Misery”
“Illluminated Race”

THY ART IS MURDER To Release 'Dear Desolation' AlbumAustralia's premiere extreme metal export THY ART IS MURDER will release its fourth full-length album, "Dear Desolation", later this year via Nuclear Blast.
Guitarist Andy Marsh explains the album title: "'Dear Desolation' was the easiest way to sum up the new record, and some of the issues we talked about. With lyrics ranging from extinction level events, to mortality's interaction with morality, 'Dear Desolation' seemed like an appropriate address toward nothingness, a call into the abyss from which we might not hear an answer."
THY ART IS MURDER has also announced a fall 2017 European headlining tour, kicking off on September 29 in Munich, Germany.
Commented the band: "We are super stoked to return to Europe, and this time with more U.K. dates than we have played in a very long time. For too long we have neglected the U.K. and we are going to make up for it in style. Joining us on our album headlining tour will be our great friends and ridiculously heavy bands, AFTER THE BURIAL, OCEANO and Australian blackened hardcore juggernauts JUSTICE FOR THE DAMNED. We can't wait to bring our new record to the road, and this will mark the very first leg of the 'Dear Desolation' world tour."
"Dear Desolation" will mark THY ART IS MURDER's first full-length release since vocalist C.J. McMahon rejoined the band this past January.
McMahon blamed his drug addiction for his departure from the group and has vowed to move forward as "a new man." He wrote on his Instagram account: "You made me a rock star, you made me a God, you made me immortal. I owe my fans everything. I made myself a drug addict, I made myself a liar, I made myself lose and destroy friendships, I made my family and friends hurt. I come back to the world a new man who, with my closest friends (THY ART IS MURDER), will prove that we are the greatest, strongest, and most powerful force in metal, I will take no prisoners, we will crush all charts and expectations. We will take over the game and raise the bar so no one will touch it or us. I am C.J. McMahon and I will stand as a king with my brothers for the rest of time."
To cement McMahon's return to his rightful throne, the band released a brand new song titled "No Absolution".
THY ART IS MURDER's third album, "Holy War", entered the official Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) chart at position No. 7 — the highest-ever position for an Australian extreme metal act. The Sydney-based band has generated controversy for the strong anti-religious stance of the title track's video, as well as the album cover which features references to a suicide bomber. 1

DECAPITATED - Anticult Album Teaser #1 Streaming; VideoPolish metal extremists Decapitated have released a first teaser video for their upcoming seventh album Anticult, out July 7th via Nuclear Blast. Watch below:
The band recently dropped the new song "Never" (video below) which is available as an Instant Grat track for all fans who pre-order the album digitally via iTunes and Amazon. Anticult is available for pre-order here and here.
Anticult highlights just how vital Decapitated have remained two decades deep into their career. Decapitated have long been undeniable masters of their craft and they are expanding their parameters with Anticult, which should elevate the band's profile beyond the death metal realm in which it has dominated for years.
"Anticult represents the legacy and future of Decapitated," said guitarist Vogg. "We're extremely proud of the record, in both the song compositions and the production. This is the best representation of our music and we're really excited for the world to hear it!"
The album's massive musical leap forward is evidenced by "Never”. It's a song with an incredible bite and retains Decapitated's signature fury. But it's also undeniably catchy and takes up residence in your brain and stays there.
“”Never”, the first track we are showcasing from the record, is fast, it's technical, and most importantly, it's heavy," Vogg commented. "For us, it's what Decapitated is all about… and it will be really fun to play live. Enjoy it!"
Vocalist Rasta weighed in about the subject matter of "Never”, offering this insight into the lyrical content: "There is no mystical, doomish fate waiting for us. The only judgment pending is our own. The simple relationship between cause and effect is what determines our future. We are now witnessing something that should never have happened — our homes have become our civilization's grave."
Anticult tracklisting:
“Impulse”
“Deathvaluation”
“Kill The Cult”
“One-Eyed Nation”
“Anger Line”

SCOTT STAPP Pays Tribute To CHRIS CORNELL With 'Black Hole Sun' Performance (Video)CREED and ART OF ANARCHY frontman Scott Stapp paid tribute to Chris Cornell by singing the chorus to the SOUNDGARDEN classic "Black Hole Sun" at a concert in Pennsylvania.
Stapp, who is in the middle of his "Live And Unplugged" spring tour, took a moment during his May 18 show at The Pullo Center in York to honor Cornell, the SOUNDGARDEN singer who was found dead in his hotel room after performing a show in Detroit on Wednesday evening. Officials later confirmed he had hanged himself.
Fan-filmed video footage of Stapp's "Black Hole Sun" rendition can be seen below.
A few weeks ago, Stapp was asked by Loudwire to name "the greatest pure rock singer." Scott responded (hear audio below): "You could go back to [LED] ZEPPELIN and talk about Robert Plant. [But] I think I'll throw something in that's more current rock history as opposed to rock and roll history from inception. And I would say someone who's still around today, who's still making records, who's in multiple bands and always delivers… I'd say currently Chris Cornell. Not only his vocal range and his style, but just his songwriting and his delivery. He brings it, man. I'm really a huge fan of him and everything that he's done. I just think all around, he's an extremely talented artist, songwriter, singer and guitar player. He can do so many different things to evoke emotion, man, from the soulfulness to the top end of his range when he gets metal and aggressive to his choice of melodies and how the melody in itself, despite what he's saying, can incite emotion. So I think he'll go down in history as one of the greats."
In addition to releasing four solo albums, Cornell fronted AUDIOSLAVE which he formed with RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE members Tim Commerford, Tom Morello and Brad Wilk. The supergroup released three studio albums before disbanding in 2007.
SOUNDGARDEN was set to headline Rock On The Range on Friday, May 19 in Columbus, Ohio. 1

BRAD WILK On CHRIS CORNELL: 'At Your Core, You Were A Smart, Sweet And Gentle Soul'RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE drummer Brad Wilk has paid tribute to Chris Cornell, saying that his former AUDIOSLAVE bandmate was "a smart, sweet and gentle soul."
AUDIOSLAVE featured Cornell alongside Wilk and fellow RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE members Tim Commerford (bass) and Tom Morello (guitar).
AUDIOSLAVE came together in 2001 following the then-dissolution of both SOUNDGARDEN and RAGE, releasing three studio albums and a historic concert set recorded in Cuba before Cornell exited in 2007, ending the band.
In an Instagram post, Wilk wrote about Cornell: "The sadness of you leaving I can not begin to describe here. So close to home. I was in awe of your talent. The time I was able to spend with you, which was not enough, I will forever cherish. At your core, you were a smart, sweet and gentle soul. This is how I will always remember you. Love you Chris. Hard to believe this picture marks the last time I will ever see you here on earth."
AUDIOSLAVE performed together for the first time in over a decade on January 20, reuniting at the Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles as part of the Anti-Inaugural Ball, a star-studded concert protesting the swearing-in of Donald Trump as the nation's 45th president. The band played three of its best-known songs: "Cochise", "Like A Stone" and "Show Me How To Live".
Cornell was found dead in his hotel room after performing a show with SOUNDGARDEN in Detroit on Wednesday evening. Officials later confirmed he had hanged himself.

FILTER's RICHARD PATRICK Says CHRIS CORNELL Saved His LifeRichard Patrick has credited Chris Cornell for saving his life when they met a decade and a half ago while they were both trying to get sober.
The FILTER frontman was one of many musicians who paid tribute on social media to Cornell, the SOUNDGARDEN singer who was found dead in his hotel room after performing a show in Detroit on Wednesday evening. Officials later confirmed he had hanged himself.
Patrick wrote on Instagram: "On September 28, 2002, I was ready to stop drinking so I went to a facility in Malibu to get sober. I was extremely skeptical and as an atheist I did not want to really try. Newcomers like me always want to shit-can everything. I woke up to some old guy saying, 'I hear you're a singer.' I said 'yes' and he said, 'There's some other guy here from a band called GARDENS OF SOUND or some shit. You guys might get along.' He was talking about Chris Cornell.
"I took my first baby steps into a program of recovery that lasted all this time with Chris's help. Chris said, 'I know this shit feels goofy, but it's the only deal in town that seems to work.' I wouldn't have gotten it if Chris didn't legitimize the whole thing for me. For 28 days, Chris helped lead the way.
"You saved my life, buddy. I'll never forget you. #chriscornell #gonetoosoon"
Cornell admitted to becoming a "daily drug user" at the age of just 13 and returning to drug use after SOUNDGARDEN disbanded in 1997. He said he used "everything," describing himself as a "pioneer" in the use of OxyContin. In the mid-2000s, he went to rehab. "I'm not sure if it was the best place for me, but it worked," he later said.

That happens when we’re all having fun at a show, so thanks to all that come to rock with us. We hope all you new and old fans alike will get a kick out of this - now crank it!"
Live & Louder, will be available in multiple deluxe formats and perfectly captures the awesome vibe of their supreme, sweat drenched, roof-raising live sets, recorded on a heady high at the end of an unbelievable 2016. The result, once again mixed by Anthony Focx (Aerosmith, Bad Company), is an absolute stunner!
Lead guitarist Doug Aldrich has some choice words about the upcoming live album - "Live & Louder really helps define The Dead Daisies’ sound. Like bands I've been involved with co-producing (Whitesnake and Dio), we have a great team that makes sure our sound is consistent and we are always looking to pump it up. Onstage I just play guitar but our crew and production team are very instrumental in capturing what happens on stage. Now get out there and go Live & Louder with us this summer!”

Live & Louder Trailer:
The Dead Daisies’ awesome live juggernaut is set to storm into North America in August for a dozen prime live dates as part of their Live & Louder World Tour. Heralded as The Dirty Dozen Tour, the trek is set to kick off in Chicago, IL on August 10th and will wrap in Las Vegas, NV on August 27th.
The Dirty Dozen Tour is inspired by the classic 1960s movie of the same name. “Rehearse them, Excite them, Arm them - then turn them loose on the Fans!”
It will be the band’s first North American Headline Tour where demand has been steadily building after 2016’s smash success of their third album Make Some Noise.
Lead singer John Corabi - “We're all very excited for our very first North American headline run. We're kicking it all off on August 10th in Chicago and ending it in 'Sin City' Las Vegas! You guys have been amazing with all of your support and requests for shows here, so we're giving it to you 'Live And Louder', and 'down and dirty' on The Dirty Dozen Tour 2017! See ya on the road kids!”
Before being turned loose on North American audiences, the troops will be fresh from playing some of the most prestigious and high profile UK and European rock festivals coupled with a series of headline club shows, dates in Japan to then make their long-awaited debut in South America. From South America it’s back to one of Europe’s largest festivals Woodstock Poland, to be part of a “Concert Inspired by Freedom” which will see the band perform with a 60-piece Orchestra.
Special guests on this North American run will be The Dives, which the band made instant friends with on the previous years’ KISS Kruise and who will add their own blend of signature rock and roll to the fiery package.
