Former SISTER SIN Singer LIV SIN Covers FIGHT's 'Immortal Sin' (Audio)Former SISTER SIN vocalist Liv "Sin" Jagrell will release her debut solo album, "Follow Me", on April 28 via the Swedish label Despotz Records. The effort was produced by longtime U.D.O. bassist Fitty Wienhold and former ACCEPT and U.D.O. member Stefan Kaufmann.
"Follow Me" includes a cover version of the FIGHT classic "Immortal Sin", which was originally featured on the Rob Halford-fronted band's 1993 debut album, "War Of Words". The Liv rendition of the track, which features a guest appearance by THE 69 EYES' Jyrki 69, can be streamed below.
From the gutters of south Sweden, Jagrell emerged as a major force as the vocalist for hard rockers SISTER SIN. Throughout their 13-year career, SISTER SIN sold thousands of albums and toured the world with high-profile tours supporting the likes of SLAYER and KING DIAMOND on the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, as well as being a part of the Revolver magazine "Hottest Chicks In Metal" tour. SISTER SIN toured relentlessly for over a decade across Europe and North America garnering an intensely loyal following of rockers that craved the band's aggressive and melodic brand of hard rock.
When SISTER SIN called it quits at the end of 2015, Liv knew that she had much more to give to her fans. From this, LIV SIN was born. Liv's new music shows the power, sexiness, and attitude that she is known for.
Liv said: "For me, it has never been an option to stop singing. I live for the stage and for my fans. I still miss SISTER SIN, but I am very excited to work on my own project, and I can promise it will not be some soft pop rock. This is going to be metal deluxe, because that's who I am!"
LIV SIN offers a modernized hard rock sound to take Liv into her next phase, a sound that is destined to please both new fans and her longtime fans of SISTER SIN.
"Follow Me" track listing:
01. The Fall02. Hypocrite03. Let Me Out04. Black Souls05. Godless Utopia06. Endless Roads07. Killing Ourself To Live08. I'm Your Sin09. Emperor Of Chaos10. Immortal Sin (FIGHT cover)11. The Beast Inside
Liv recently told East Texas Music Scene about the end of SISTER SIN: "There are no hard feelings, but the parting wasn't exactly mutual. Neither me nor Dave [Sundberg, drums] wanted to end the band. We totally understand that not everyone felt that way and you can't force people to play with you. So it was probably for the best before something got infected 'cause of people touring even if they were too burnt out from it." 1

New Song Premiere: WARRANT's 'Only Broken Heart'"Only Broken Heart", the new single from WARRANT, can be streamed below. The song is taken from the band's new studio album, "Louder Harder Faster", which will be relased on May 12 via Frontiers Music Srl. The disc was recorded with producer Jeff Pilson, a veteran bassist who has played with DIO, FOREIGNER, DOKKEN and T&N, among others, and was mixed by Pat Regan except for the song "I Think I'll Just Stay Here And Drink", which was mixed by Chris "The Wizard" Collier (FLOTSAM AND JETSAM, PRONG, LAST IN LINE).
With a lineup featuring original members Erik Turner (guitar), Jerry Dixon (bass), Joey Allen (guitar) and Steven Sweet (drums) along with singer Robert Mason (LYNCH MOB, CRY OF LOVE), WARRANT is now stronger than ever. Mason's vocals remain a breath of fresh air and his swagger on the songs gives new life and a bright future to the band. "Louder Harder Faster", true to the band's roots, is full of rockers with some classic ballads thrown in and will surely send their faithful fans into a frenzy.
Turner says: "You can hear and feel the emotions of the last twenty-five-plus years of being in this band poured into 'Louder Harder Faster'. The fun and the frustrations, the pleasure and the pain... a whole lot of blood, sweat, tears and beers went into the making of this album. Love it or hate it, it's the real-fuckin'-deal, hundred-percent pure melodic hard rock handcrafted by five musicians who dedicated their lives to music when they were just little kids with big dreams."
Dixon adds: "'Louder Harder Faster' is truly one of our best records to date. It has all the classic WARRANT ingredients that people have come to know, plus a lot of extras that keep it in the modern realm of todays music. It's a perfect mix between balls and ballads.
"When we started this project over two years ago, we wanted to bring the listener back to the days of sitting in the living room and cranking up a record from start to finish.
"Making full records seems to be a lost art, [and] we hope in some small way that this album helps people find that art again."
Regarding how the "Louder Harder Faster" album title came about, Mason told "The Rock Brigade" podcast: "On stage, since probably '09, '10, '11… I don't remember when; maybe it was after our record [was released]. But as a thing to say between… It kind of just came out of my mouth one day — 'louder, harder, faster' — and I screamed it into the microphone and we started the next song. It was kind of one of those dumb things lead singers say to break up the dead air between songs in live shows. And it kind of stuck in my head and I started doing it. It was a thing I kind of started saying. And one day I had a riff in my hands and a guitar in my house, or in a hotel room, and then it turned into, 'Oh, guys, by the way, I wrote this song. It's called 'Louder, Harder, Faster'.' And I think I half-drunkenly said in a hotel bar one night, maybe three or four years ago, 'Oh, by the way, the record should be called 'Louder, Harder, Faster', 'cause I have this fucking song.' And, you know, that's what cocky lead singers say to their guitar players. And I think Joey Allen was, like, 'Yeah, yeah. Blah blah blah. I'll believe it when I hear it.' So there you go. When we came up with the songs for this record, it just kind of became obvious that that was the… If you're gonna name it after one of the songs, there you go."
"Louder Harder Faster" track listing:

San Francisco Art Exchange LLC (SFAE) has been selected to exclusively represent the most valuable collection of rock and roll artwork ever to be offered for sale: eleven original paintings created and hand-selected by famed English artist Gerald Scarfe, from Pink Floyd’s 1982 masterpiece The Wall. A major exhibition will be held in July with Scarfe in attendance at the invitation-only premiere to be held at SFAE’s gallery (458 Geary St, San Francisco, CA). Details to be announced.
The paintings being offered have been carefully selected by Scarfe as his most important works, and include several of the most famous images in rock history due to their association with The Wall. Among the paintings are the true definitive originals for iconic artworks such as The Scream (pictured above), Wife With Flaming Hair, Giant Judge and Hammers, The Mother, Education For What? No Jobs!, The Wife's Shadow, One Of The Frightened Ones, The Gross Inflatable Pig, Comfortably Numb, and The Teacher, as well as the massive original storyboard created for the film which incorporates 50 original renderings.
To view available artworks, including in-depth descriptions and histories, click here.
Epic in scale and steeped in rock history, these original works of art are marquis collectibles for major individual, corporate, and institutional collectors. Due to the extensive distribution of the imagery via album, live-performances, music-videos, and the film (along with the accompanying publicity), the artwork offered is among the most instantly recognizable and significant in pop culture.
One of the paintings available for purchase, Giant Judge and Hammers, will be prominently on display in London beginning May 13th as part of the Victoria & Albert Museum’s eagerly anticipated The Pink Floyd Exhibition: Their Mortal Remains, the first international retrospective of one of the worlds’ most ground-breaking and influential bands. This exhibition is expected to become one of the most successful on record.
The Wall album topped Billboard charts for 15 weeks, and in 1999 was certified 23 x Platinum. It remains one of the best-selling albums of all time, selling over 19 million copies between 1979 and 1990 in the US alone. The film was critically acclaimed when it was released in 1982 and won BAFTAs for Best Original Song and Best Sound. Scarfe developed the film's entire visual environment before the project began and his characters became a mixture of live-action and animated imagery, all of which played an integral role in the surreal narrative.

SOULROT Premiere Two Songs From Nameless Hideous ManifestationsIn their endless quest to push and support current underground acts that perpetuate the odor of vintage death metal, on April 24th, Memento Mori presents the debut full-length of Chile's Soulrot, Nameless Hideous Manifestations. And today, two new tracks "Infertile Anti-Womb" and "From My Grave" can be heard via the Soundcloud audio players below.
Hailing from the city of Valparaíso, Soulrot was formed by guitar player JL Olmos (Betrayed, ex-Micosis, ex-Gangrenous) circa 1993-1994 but was put to rest due to JL being involved in several other projects at the time. It wasn't until 2013 that JL joined bass player/vocalist JH Wilschrey (Sadistic Murder, Acero Letal) and they both resuscitated Soulrot, manifesting their unquestionable inclination towards the death metal of yore.
This glorious, gangrenous resurrection resulted in the Horrors From Beyond demo in 2014 and the Revelations EP two years later. Between the two, Soulrot exhibited a lyrical inclination toward H.P. Lovecraft's cosmogony and the preternatural, and musically inspired by old acts such as Nihilist/Entombed, Carnage, Autopsy, Grave, Necrony, Demigod, Traumatic, Carcass, Nirvana 2002, and Asphyx among others. Gutsfucked as those two recordings are, the gestating rot of Nameless Hideous Manifestations soundly obliterates all the came before. Bolstered by the recent addition of Daniel Fredes (Sadistic Murder) on drums, here Soulrot burl forward with a bulldozing sense of purpose, a crush-at-all-costs momentum that literally sounds teleported from 1992.
Granted, this aesthetic is one that's been well utilized (and abused) for the past decade, but as with anything worth experiencing, authenticity trumps all, and Soulrot bleed the ancient ways deeper than most. Simply witness the dynamic yet dread-draped songcraft across their debut album: these Nameless Hideous Manifestations demand obeisance! Cover and tracklisting are as follows:
"Desde el Arrecife del Diablo..."
"Those Who Dwell In The Abyss"
"From My Grave"
"Ectoplasmic Revelations"
"Infertile Anti-Womb"
"This Putrid Canvas"
"Majestic Rot"
"Incorporeal Autopsy"
"Blackstone"
"Transfigured Through The Void"

NERVOCHAOS Issue New 360° "Ritualistic" VideoBrazilian death metal lords Nervochaos are set to release their seventh studio album Nyctophilia on April 7th via Cogumelo (in Brazil), Greyhaze (in The US) and distributed by Plastic Head (in Europe). Today the band has unleashed their 360° video for the song "Ritualistic", watch it below:
Nyctophilia is an eclectic mix of all that characterizes the band, 13 new tracks of 80s-fueled blackened extreme music, executed in Nervochaos' trademark raw, aggressive and organic style of Metal. Nyctophilia has a new intensity and is a step forward compared to their older releases.
For the first time, the band recorded the album outside Brazil, spending a month in Como/Italy at Alpha Omega Studio along with producer Alex Azzali, who also did mixing and mastering of the new album. It's also the first album composed and recorded with the new line-up which features Lauro 'Nightrealm' on vocal/guitar, Cherry on guitar, Thiago 'Anduscias' on bass and the only remaining original member Edu Lane on drums.
The album artwork was created by Alcides Burn, a talented Brazilian artist that worked with acts such as Blood Red Throne, Acheron, Iconoclasm, Headhunter DC and many more. Nyctophilia also features special guest vocals appearance by Sebastian L. of Into Darkness and Leandro P. of R.N.S. plus one track, "Vampiric Cannibal Goddess”, that features the riffs of Bolverk (Ragnarok).
Nyctophilia surely is the best album up-to-date from Nervochaos, which managed to evolve musically without losing its trademark sound.

HIDEOUS DIVINITY Streaming “Angel Of Revolution” From Upcoming Adveniens AlbumItalian death metal collective Hideous Divinity, featuring within its ranks current and former members of Hour Of Penance and Aborted, are preparing to unleash their third full-length, Adveniens, via Unique Leader next month. The album track, “Angel Of Revolution” , is available for streaming below. Pre-order bundles for Adveniens are currently available here.
Adveniens, out on April 28th, is the follow-up to the band's Cobra Verde long player was recorded, mixed and mastered at Stefano Morabito's 16th Cellar Studio (Hour Of Penance, Fleshgod Apocalypse etc.) during the fall of 2016, includes a rendition of Sinister's "Embodiment Of Chaos”, and finds Hideous Divinity offering up their darkest material yet.
"It may be pretentious to talk about evolution inside our musical genre, this is what Adveniens truly means for us," elaborates guitarist Enrico Schettino. "Just when we believed that with Cobra Verde we reached a point of no return, our songwriting turned even more dark and monumental. Although we'll never consider ourselves close to Lucyfyre, Adversarial, Deathspell Omega, and Akhlys, the influence of this new wave of obscure metal on us these last years has been massive. The result is our most epic death metal effort ever conceived. "
"Stefano Morabito and his 16th Cellar Studios set up a new standard with the production of Adveniens," he continues. "Never before has our sound reached such a level of uncompromising intensity without sounding forced or overproduced. The maniacal efforts made to perfect every single drum beat, vocal line and guitar chord almost caused a nervous breakdown but it truly paid off."
"The entire album is a reflection on history and time, on the succession of futile ages, on the role of the poet as soothsayer and witness of the winds of time erasing each one of these ages from the face of the earth. A reflection on Walter Benjamin predicting the 'adveniens' of David Cronenberg, on Professor O'Blivion predicting an era when 'all of us will have special names.' Adveniens is a violent reflection on art."
Adveniens tracklisting:
“Ages Die”
“Sub Specie Aeternitatis”

“Feeding Off The Blind”

METHANE Enlist Drummer OLLE EKMANSwedish based southern metal band, Methane, have announced Olle Ekman as their new drummer.
In late 2016, Andreas Strom gave notice that he would not be able continue as Methane's full-time drummer and the band set out to find someone to fill his drum seat. In February, Methane found him, non-other than a veteran in the Swedish metal scene, Olle Ekman.
Ekman is probably most known as lead singer from Sweden's Deals Death and touring with Amaranthe. Tim Scott (bass and vocals for Methane) and Ekman have both played in death metal band Volturyon, only not at the same time. Ekman sang on the first two albums from 2008-2011 and Scott played bass a short time in 2014 on the Human Demolition EP. Olle has not always been a singer. He originally was a drummer and has been aching to get back behind a drum set.
Methane recently released it's debut album, The Devil's Own, via Sony/Dark Star Records, and is now booking tour dates for 2017, with dates already confirmed in Finland at the beginning of June.

Australia's IN DEATH Unleash "Bow To Your Master" VideoAustralian death metal quintet In Death have brokered a deal with Plastic Head for the official release of their full-length debut, The Devil Speaks. The album will be released on April 21st. Pre-orders are available at this location.
In related news, the band has issued an official video for album track "Bow To Your Master".
Vigorously honing their craft as a live act since August 2008, two crucial elements have developed within the band that now form part of the unofficial band ethos: Tight performances packaged with energetic delivery. The result can only be described as a whirlwind of energy punctuated by an intensely accurate technical punch.
In Death combine overwhelming power and groove with subtle technicality and some unexpected twists to deliver a package that can not only cause frenzy among seasoned metal-heads, but also bring new fans to the metal genre with horns held high and banging heads.

ARTIFICIAL BRAIN Premieres Title Track Of New Album Infrared HorizonLong Island-based sci-fi death metal quintet Artificial Brain has debuted the title track to their impending Infrared Horizon album, which is nearing release through Profound Lore Records in late April. "Infrared Horizon" featuring Trevor Strnad of The Black Dahlia Murder, Paulo Paguntalan of Copremesis and Gath Smane, can be heard now via the Soundcloud audio player below.
"'Infrared Horizon' is written from the perspective of something non-human, trying to define human existence," says Artificial Brain. "This is a track that we debuted live on our tour with The Black Dahlia Murder in late 2015, so it felt appropriate to have this be the track that features guest vocals by Black Dahlia singer Trevor Strnad. This song also features Paulo Paguntalan of Copremesis and Gath Smane, who contributes some vocals to the outro, a piece of the record that reflects our interest in incorporating more electronic experimentation into our sound."
Infrared Horizon will see release on CD, LP, and digital formats through Profound Lore Records on April 21st; pre-orders are available now at this location.
Produced by Colin Marson (Gorguts, Dysrhythmia, Krallice) at The Thousand Caves, Infrared Horizon sees Artificial Brain traveling towards a sonic realm where the music has become more brutal and dissonant, technical, atmospheric, and just overall more otherworldly. Lyrical themes delve into concepts within a dystopian future in which robots and cyborgs have outlived human beings and who believe themselves to be not of creation of the long extinct humans but a more perfect evolution of them. These themes are portrayed in the appropriate cover art crafted by Adam Burke. With Infrared Horizon, Artificial Brain has created an album far more advanced than their lauded debut album, Labyrinth Constellation. By taking their brand of singular brutal guttural yet technical and ambient sci-fi death metal to a new galaxial plateau, Infrared Horizon sees the sonic architecture laid down by the band go further into the beyond and infinite.
Tracklisting:
“Floating In Delirium”
“Synthesized Instinct”
“Static Shattering”
“Estranged From Orbit”
“Infrared Horizon”
“Anchored To The Inlayed Arc”
“Mist Like Mercury”

SÓLSTAFIR Streaming New Track “Bláfjall”Sólstafir will release their new album, Berdreyminn, on May 26th via Season Of Mist. The album track, “Bláfjall”, is available for streaming below.
Sólstafir are not like any other band. Their sixth album, Berdreyminn, underscores this statement. As its title "a dreamer of forthcoming events" aptly describes, the four Icelanders have taken their already impressive evolution one step further. The band has continued to amalgamate haunting melodies, psychedelic phases, as well as strong undercurrents of classic rock and hard rock with echoes of their metal past. Yet Sólstafir’s focus is not on style but pure emotion.
Berdreyminn is eclectic by a conscious choice to make feelings audible and transform taste as well as texture to sound. Genre borders are not broken but simply ignored. Musical influences are gathered from a wide range of sources, re-arranged, and woven into new patterns. Melancholy, longing, anger, joy, pleasure, pain, and other emotions are fuelling and fulling this album.

SKELETHAL Set Release Date For Of The Depths... Reveal Teaser VideoHells Headbangers has set June 23rd as the international release date for Skelethal's debut album, Of The Depths.... Take the plunge with a teaser video for the new track "Chaotic Deviance".
Hailing from the now-fertile French death metal scene, Skelethal comprise two diehard death metal addicts, Gui Haunting and Jon Whiplash, who decided in early 2012 to form a band mainly influenced by the genre's classics: Entombed, Carnage, Morbid Angel, Pestilence, Autopsy, and Death among others. With that foundation firmly in place, Skelethal unleashed the Morbid Ovation demo in 2012 and then two EPs in 2014, Deathmanicvs Revelation and Interstellar Knowledge Of The Purple Entity, which were later compiled onto CD in 2015 as Morbid Revelations.
Indeed, the immediately tangible heft and utterly crushing weight of Skelethal is felt upon the first few seconds into Of The Depths.... It is familiar, for sure, for the duo proudly wear the aforementioned influences, but just like their opening clutch of EPs, Skelethal manage to authentically extract the essence of said influences rather than ripping them off wholesale (or worse). In that sense, Of The Depths... verily becomes a proud 'n' potent entry into the classic death metal canon, being no more but certainly no less than actual death fucking metal done by two diehards who live (and die) for this form of filth. And yet, with nine tracks spanning a total of 40 minutes, Skelethal here display some subtle twists to their timeless sound, branching out but barely, never betraying themselves or their chosen metal; it simply becomes a longer, stronger display of all that made the band tick and kick before, a deeper and darker plunge into cosmic horrors and boundless morbidity.

NORTHLANE Drops Surprise Fourth Album, 'Mesmer'Australia's NORTHLANE has released its fourth album, "Mesmer".
"Mesmer" appeared with no forewarning on digital services at 8 a.m. AEDT and is also available on CD, LP, and tape from all good music stores. "Mesmer", NORTHLANE's fourth full-length release, is a triumph — the band's most organic-yet-precise album yet. it covers familiar topics but renders them in a new way, at once paying heed to the band's heaviest roots and looking forward to an unwritten future.
Recorded throughout September 2016 in New Jersey with acclaimed producer David Bendeth (BRING ME THE HORIZON, PARAMORE, A DAY TO REMEMBER), this is NORTHLANE's defining statement. And presented directly to their fans in such an unorthodox and exciting manner, "Mesmer" will echo worldwide through 2017 and long beyond.
NORTHLANE has released the following statement explaining why they released "Mesmer" unannounced: "Through determination, hard work, sacrifice, and a bit of luck, we are able to travel the world taking our music to fans both old and new. We're able to spend time crafting the music we want to hear with the benefit of not having to leave the studio early to go and work a job. To an artist, these are real luxuries. We appreciate them more than anything and we're in the position of being able to do this because of you — our incredible fans who continue to support us. You free us to be the artists we want to be. "This is our way of rewarding our fans for everything they've given us. What our music means to you is what it means to us. Art is an experience, and to us it reserves no room for competition, and the only accolade that matters to us is the place this holds in your heart. "Releasing 'Mesmer' in this way has been right for us at this moment in time. We have grown immeasurably as people and as a band through the toughest recording process we've ever endured. We've been tested every step of the way and have come out the other side with something we are truly proud of. We didn't want to keep it from you a moment longer than we had to. We felt we owed it to this album to try and think creatively about every aspect of the way people would experience 'Mesmer', like a gift from us to you that is being unboxed. We wanted to make everyon's discovery of this moment special."
The rest of 2017 will see NORTHLANE take "Mesmer" to all corners of the globe, starting with a tour of South East Asia and an appearance on Hammersonic (Indonesia). After that, NORTHLANE will return to Australia for a headline tour that wraps up with the band playing The Big Pineapple Festival as one of the main acts alongside BIRDS OF TOKYO, THE VERONICAS and PEKING DUCK. NORTHLANE will hit international festival stages throughout the rest of 2017 with appearances on the main stage at Download (U.K.) and Hellfest (France). The band will also appear at Vainstream Rockfest (Germany), Jera On Air (Netherlands), Graspop Metal Meeting (Belgium), Dissonance (Italy), Rock For People (Czech Republic), Resurrection (Spain), and many more. "Mesmer" is available now via 24Hundred, iTunes, and all streaming services. Fans can also purchase "Mesmer" as well as exclusive merch at NORTHLANE pop-up shops + signing events in Melbourne (24Hundred) and Sydney (Utopia Records) this weekend. The stores will stocked extremely limited edition vinyl and merchandise exclusive to each city.
NORTHLANE's last full-length studio release was 2015's "Node". A split three-track "Equinox" EP with IN HEARTS WAKE — featuring all ten members of both bands — came out last year.
"Node" was the first NORTHLANE to feature vocalist Marcus Bridge, who joined the band after the departure of longtime frontman Adrian Fitipaldes. Adrian left the band unexpectedly in 2014, citing health issues.

VOLBEAT: Official Lyric Video For 'Black Rose' Song Feat. DANKO JONESThe official lyric video for the song "Black Rose" from Danish/American rock 'n' rollers VOLBEAT can be seen below. The clip was directed by Shan Dan Horan. The track is taken from the band's sixth full-length album, "Seal The Deal & Let's Boogie", which was released last June via Republic Records.
VOLBEAT guitarist Rob Caggiano told TeamRock about "Black Rose": "This song features Danko Jones and he's a good friend of the band; we love what he does and he loves what VOLBEAT do. We took him on tour on the last album cycle and it was great. He's such a cool dude, and he's a huge music nerd like we are. He's awesome. So we were working on this song 'Black Rose', and Michael [Poulsen, VOLBEAT frontman] was singing the verse part, and he was, like, 'Maybe Danko Jones could sing on this one. It sounds like something that he would do.' And it totally does! We could almost hear it before it even happened. When we approached him about doing it, he was totally psyched, and he completely nailed it."
Poulsen explained the story behind the "Seal The Deal & Let's Boogie" album title. He said: "When I write, I'm pretty much locked into this bubble. And sometimes when I come out, I have no idea where I've been or where I got the idea from. And going back to where I came up with the title, I really don't remember. I think it popped up when I was writing the song called 'Seal The Deal' and things just popped up improvising, and I said, 'Well…that sounds pretty good.' And I pretty much used that title on every song somehow, because you can analyze the title in many different directions. So I think I came up with the title when I was writing the song 'Seal The Deal'."
Asked how VOLBEAT deals with the fact that fans sometimes worry that each new album from the band is going to be softer than the previous one, Michael told Studio Brussel: "We don't. [Laughs] We do what we do, and we love what we're doing. And we're just progressing as a band. Sometimes people think the next record is too heavy or too soft. It depends on which ears are listening to it. We don't care too much about it. We are VOLBEAT and we found our signature sound and style on the first record. And there's a lot of new songs that could be on the first record, but then again, we're also progressing as a band, so maybe some of the songs are a little bit more soft, but there will always be metal influences and… We don't care too much about it. We just like to write songs and be on the road. We would never like to be on the road if we didn't care about what we were doing. So who knows? Maybe the next record will be an extreme metal album. It really depends on where you are when you sit down and write. So we don't think too much about it."

The disc will include ten songs on the standard release and thirteen on the deluxe version (which also comes with sixteen live tracks).
PAPA ROACH frontman Jacoby Shaddix revealed in an interview with Albany, New York radio station Q103 that "Crooked Teeth" will feature guest appearances by rapper Machine Gun Kelly and American singer and songwriter Skylar Grey. The follow-up to 2015's "F.E.A.R." was recorded with Nicholas "Ras" Furlong and Colin "Doc" Brittain at Steakhouse studio in North Hollywood, California.
PAPA ROACH has already released two songs from the upcoming disc, "Crooked Teeth" and "Help".
Shaddix described the new disc as "very dynamic," adding, "It ranges from heavy and in your face with songs like 'Crooked Teeth' and then it also is kind of a bit more of a pop sensibility in it… It's all over the place."
Shaddix also revealed that the band has done some early work on its next album, saying: "We went back in the studio and started creating some music again for a new, new record. We have such a good creative flow that we're, like, 'You know what, man?' Let's just jump in the studio.'"

Asked how the collaborations with Machine Gun Kelly and Skylar Grey came about, Shaddix told the Q103 radio station in Albany, New York: "When we drop this record, we knew that PAPA ROACH, we are a staple in rock music. I feel that we've earned that over the course of our career. And when we first came into the game… I've always been a big fan of hip-hop. I fell out of love with it for a few years, but then there's some new artists that I really am a big fan of, Machine Gun Kelly in particular. We collaborated at the [Alternative Press Music Awards], and that was awesome. And then I had this track called 'Sunrise Trailer Park', and I needed a guest spot, and I played him 'Crooked Teeth', and he was just, like, 'Dude, P-ROACH is back! This is so sick!' So I was, like, 'Hey, I've got this track I would love for you to be on.' And so it was very organic. And then we've got this other track called 'Periscope'. We wanted to have a guest female vocal on it, and on the last album, we had Maria Brink from IN THIS MOMENT on 'Gravity'. I didn't wanna just go in and grab another rock chick. I wanted to work with somebody that was outside the box and different but that I was a fan of. So I've been listening to this girl Skylar Grey for [a few] years now. And she's been on some great tracks — she's been on some Dre stuff, some Eminem stuff, she's been on a FORT MINOR track. But she's kind of this indie, alternative, pop type of girl, and she's just got a lot of credibility in that scene, and she's got a great voice, and I'm a big fan. And so I thought, why not try some collaborations and some guest spots that were outside the box, not the norm? 'Cause I feel… I'm a big fan of bands like QUEEN, LED ZEPPELIN, FAITH NO MORE — bands that always evolved and tried new things and took their fans on a journey. Because when you go and listen back to LED ZEPPELIN records through their career, they did all kinds of differnet stuff — they were folk, heavy metal, rhythm and blues, straight-up rock and roll, and they melded all those things together. QUEEN, they always took their fans on a ride, and so that's what we wanna do. We feel, as creators and artists, that's our responsibility — to challenge our fans and to also challenge ourselves, without going too far and being too self-indulgent."
PAPA ROACH is set to play at several major rock festivals in late April and May, including Fort Rock and Welcome To Rockville in Florida, Carolina Rebellion in North Carolina and Northern Invasion in Wisconsin. 1

Over the span of 68-minutes of melodic and powerful music ripe with recurring themes, the band takes the listener on a whirlwind journey through the scope of human emotion in hopes they will be able to project their own experiences into these intensely personal lyrics inspired by an amalgam of real-life events.
Resolve reprises the band's ever-present influences from bands like Queensrÿche, Dream Theater, Iron Maiden, Savatage, and a mixture of contemporary power metal and melodic rock hooks and songwriting while moving the band further into progressive and theatrical territory with more atypical song structures used to best serve the concept of the album.

RAMMSTEIN To Release Concert Film 'RAMMSTEIN Paris' In MayOn Friday, March 24, the official presale for the concert film "Rammstein: Paris" begins ahead of its worldwide release on May 19. The film, which will be released in many configurations, sets new standards. In March 2012, during the "Made In Germany" tour, Swedish director Jonas Åkerlund shot two acclaimed RAMMSTEIN concerts at the Palais Omnisports arena in Paris in front of 17,000 spectators. Featuring 22 songs from the band's entire repertoire, the resulting film is not only the most spectacular collection of imagery about the most successful German rock band of our time, but also a masterpiece of music cinema, capturing RAMMSTEIN's energy as a unique visual and sonic experience. Åkerlund is notorious for his radical, pioneering video clips for bands such as THE PRODIGY, METALLICA, THE ROLLING STONES, and also RAMMSTEIN. Absurd details, upended perspectives, shocks of contrast, and sensory confusion flicker through his music productions, and in "Rammstein: Paris", he celebrates this from the very first minute. RAMMSTEIN play 22 songs (128 minutes), ranging from "Wollt Ihr Das Bett In Flammen Sehen?", the first song from the very first album, to "Frühling In Paris", from the last studio album, "Liebe Ist Für Alle Da". "Rammstein: Paris" was picked up for worldwide rights (excluding Germany, Austria and Switzerland) by Picturehouse Entertainment, the distribution arm of the U.K.'s Picturehouse Cinemas chain.
"Concert films are always a big challenge," said Åkerlund. "I compare it to shooting fireworks. The way I approach it is to try to translate the energy that you get in the room onto film, using every trick in the book to make as much of an impression as I can on the audience."
"Rammstein: Paris" was shot over two nights, using 30 cameras.
"That gives you a massive amount of footage," Åkerlund added."This is a two-hour-twenty-minute show, and I take the footage and cut it with the same precision that I would a three- or four-minute music video. Even with a big crew of editors, it took us over a year to nail down the edit."
RAMMSTEIN last year played a number of concerts where the band opened each show with a brand new song, presently only known as "Ramm 4". The track contains lyrics that seem to be a combination of various titles of previous RAMMSTEIN songs.
RAMMSTEIN in 2015 released a 21st-anniversary box set, a numbered, career-wide collection titled "XXI". The set included the band's six studio albums, produced by Jacob Hellner and remastered onto 180-gram heavyweight double vinyl by Svante Forsbäck, as well as a separate rarities double LP, "Raritäten", including a previously unreleased version of the track "Los".
RAMMSTEIN hasn't made a new CD since 2009's "Liebe Ist Für Alle Da".
The band's frontman Till Lindemann in 2015 released a debut album with his side project LINDEMANN.
RAMMSTEIN guitarist Richard Z. Kruspe's EMIGRATE project issued its sophomore album, "Silent So Long", in November 2014 via Spinefarm. 8

GENESIS Legend STEVE HACKETT Uploads Live Rehearsal Video For “El Niňo”Guitar virtuoso and rock legend, Steve Hackett (formerly of Genesis), has released a live rehearsal video for the song “El Niňo”, featured on his new album, The Night Siren, to be released on Friday, March 24th via InsideOut Music (Sony). The video is available for streaming below.
The Night Siren showcases Steve’s incredible guitar as strongly as ever, along with musicians from several different countries, who Steve invited to join him in celebrating multicultural diversity and unity. This includes singers from Israel and Palestine, who both actively campaign to bring Jewish and Arabic people together. There are also instrumentals from the USA and Iraq, and a multiplicity of sounds, including the exotic strains of Indian sitar and Middle Eastern tar and oud, the ethnic beauty of the Peruvian charango, and the haunting Celtic Uilleann pipes.
Steve is widely travelled, making friends everywhere he goes, and has always embraced multicultural diversity. In these times of unrest, he has been inspired to express his belief that the world needs more empathy and unity. His wish to involve a range of musical sounds, instruments, musicians and singers from different parts of the world is both a development of his eclectic approach to music and shows how people can be brought together, even from war-torn regions.
Talking about his latest work, Steve says, “This latest waxing represents a bird’s eye view of the world of a musical migrant ignoring borders and celebrating our common ancestry with a unity of spirit, featuring musicians, singers and instruments from all over the world. From territorial frontiers to walled-up gateways, boundaries often hold back the tide. But while the night siren wails, music breaches all defences. To quote Plato, ‘When the music changes, the walls of the city shake’.”
The musical journey takes us from “Behind the Smoke”, focusing on the plight of refugees throughout the ages, to the penultimate track “West To East” which reflects on the damage of war and the hope for a better world. From personal to universal, the themes celebrate the life force, breaking free from chains of repression.

“El Niño”
“Other Side Of The Wall”

TREAT - “Papertiger” Live Video StreamingSwedish melodic rockers, Treat, will release their first ever live CD and first live DVD/Blu-Ray in over 10 years, entitled The Road More Or Less Traveled - Live In Milano on April 21st. A video for “Papertiger” from the upcoming release is available for streaming below.
On April 23rd, 2016, Treat played a hotly anticipated set at Frontiers Rock Festival III. Held close to Milano, Italy, this was the third annual edition of the festival and saw Treat playing hot on the heels of the release of their latest studio album, Ghost Of Graceland. The release date of this live album happens to be about one year after the initial performance took place and almost coincides with the 2017 edition of the Frontiers Rock Festival as well.
The band took the stage by storm, opening the show with the title track from their last studio album and showcasing a very special lineup, which features H.E.A.T. keyboardist Jona Tee taking the place of Patrik Appelgren for this exclusive performance. Treat offered a show with a great mixture of new and recent songs taken from their latest album, the highly regarded 2010 release Coup De Grace, and classic songs from the good ol’ days including “World Of Promises”, “Get You On The Run”, and “Ready For The Taking”.
Says guitarist Anders Wikström, “As we haven’t released a live home video in 10 years, let alone a live album ever, and then Serafino asked us, we were more than delighted, and frankly, long overdue, to show our fans what we been up to for the last couple of years. With so many albums to choose from and our audience constantly asking for different songs in the setlist, this was a great opportunity to close one chapter, only to start writing the next. "The Road more or Less Traveled” is a great reminder for anyone to see that Treat is very much a living and breathing live entity!”
Treat’s performance was truly a unique and special one and this live video documents a great moment in the band’s history as well as serving as a celebration of one of Sweden’s finest hard rock bands ever!
"This year will take us right back we belong, on stage! We have some really cool surprises and will of course play the best of the new, but also older songs we haven’t performed in ages! See you all on tour through 2017,” concludes Anders.
The Road More or Less Traveled will be released on CD/DVD, Blu-Ray standalone, and digital editions.

RIKKI ROCKETT Says SLASH Was 'Really Pissed Off' He Didn't Land Guitarist Gig In POISONIn a brand new interview with the "Decibel Geek" podcast, POISON drummer Rikki Rockett was asked how Slash came to audition for the guitarist slot in the band prior to joining GUNS N' ROSES in 1985. "Slash we had known," Rikki said (hear audio below). "'Cause he was in HOLLYWOOD ROSE… So Bret [Michaels, POISON singer] and I liked him; we all liked him. And he came and worked on some songs with us, but we continued to audition people even though he was a frontrunner… We didn't want, like, a hotshot Yngwie [Malmsteen-type] guy. We didn't want that. We wanted a rock, East Coast guy. And then C.C. [DeVille, current POISON guitarist] auditioned, and he just made more sense than Slash did. So it was a tough decision, because we all liked Slash. Slash was really pissed off about it. He was pissed. He was, like, 'What the fuck, you guys?'… So there was that rivalry between GUNS N' ROSES and POISON because of that, I think, for a long time, you know? And that's long gone. I see Slash and we're totally cool, you know what I mean? I haven't seen Axl [Rose, GUNS N' ROSES singer] in fucking fifteen years, but I've seen the other guys, and [there's] no problem."
Slash spoke about his POISON audition during a 2010 interview with Classic Rock Revisited. He said: "I was living in L.A. and I had just gotten done working in a band with Axl, actually, called HOLLYWOOD ROSE. Steven Adler was in that band as well. I just quit. I told Axl I couldn’t handle it anymore and I walked. That was right after the first time Axl and I ever worked together. Matt, the original guitar player for POISON, who was actually a pretty cool guy, had gotten his wife pregnant or they were getting married or something like that. He was moving back to Pennsylvania. He goes, 'You should try out for POISON.' I hated POISON but in those days you did whatever you had to do to keep moving. Being very ambitious, as I was, I went and auditioned for POISON. I ended up being one of two guitar players left that they were going to pick from. I remember kicking the shit out of the songs they had. There was no denying that I could play them but there was an issue about makeup and stuff. Bobby Dall [POISON bassist] asked me what kind of shoes I was going to wear. I was, like, 'What?' It was kind of obvious that this was going to go nowhere. As I was walking out of the audition, C.C. DeVille was walking in. He had on pancake makeup and a ton of hairspray. I actually remember thinking right then, 'That should be the guy.' The next day I got a call from Bobby and he said, 'You know, you are great and all but I think we are going to pass on you and go with this other guy.' It was C.C. and it really did make all the sense in the world. I was in a couple of bands after that and then we started GUNS N' ROSES." 1

METALLICA's New Stage Setup 'Feels A Little Smaller And Tighter,' Says ROBERT TRUJILLOMETALLICA bassist Robert Trujillo spoke to Live Nation about the stage setup for the band's "WorldWired" tour, which will officially kick off on May 10 in Baltimore, Maryland. "The new stage is… We're in the round," he said (see video below). "It feels a little smaller and tighter. One of the things, when we played the clubs, we felt that we should have hopefully more interaction with each other. 'Cause sometimes on the bigger stages, you don't hang out that much with each other. It's, like, 'Hey, James.' 'Hey, Rob. What's going on?' It's always in passing. So we're trying to… as much as we can — it's still difficult — to interact a bit more. And that's one of the things that we missed that we did get out of the club shows with each other." The North American leg of METALLICA's "WorldWired" 2017 tour kicks off in Baltimore and will hit stadiums in 25 cities before winding down in mid-August. Support on the quartet's first North American trek since 2009 will come mainly from AVENGED SEVENFOLD and VOLBEAT, with GOJIRA taking over for the latter group for the last six shows.
The first European leg of "WorldWired" kicks off on September 4 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and stretches through November. After a break, the trek will pick up again on February 10 in Bologna, Italy, and continue through May, finishing up in Helsinki, Finland.
METALLICA will next play South America's Lollapalooza events in Brazil, Argentina and Chile on March 25, March 31 and April 1 respectively.

AVENGED SEVENFOLD Guitarist Says METALLICA Are 'Incredible Human Beings And People'AVENGED SEVENFOLD guitarist Synyster Gates says that he is really looking forward to the band's summer tour with METALLICA, calling the San Francisco heavy metal giants "incredible human beings and people."
AVENGED SEVENFOLD's North American tour with METALLICA kicks off on May 10 in Baltimore, Maryland and will hit stadiums in 25 cities before winding down in mid-August. Additional support on METALLICA's first North American trek since 2009 will come from VOLBEAT, with GOJIRA taking over for the latter group for the last six shows.
Speaking to Finland's Radio Rock earlier this month, Gates said that he was "really excited" about playing with METALLICA again. "I think it's an absolute honor and a privilege and we're the luckiest band in the world to be taken in by such a legendary act," he said. "During our formative years, it was all about, 'What did METALLICA do?' and 'How do we do that?' and then you try and find an identity of your own, but they're still… They were the pioneers and the trailblazers. And they still do that stuff. We go and do a surprise release and then they do twelve videos for their record and have unbelievable success, and you're, like, 'Damn! That's pretty cool what they did, huh?' So we're always having those moments and it's really cool to see them continue to trailblaze and pioneer, and they're helping us and taking us along for the ride, and we couldn't appreciate it any more."
Asked if he still gets starstruck when hanging out with members of METALLICA, Gates said: "Yeah, definitely. I remember in Berlin when we played with METALLICA for the first time, and Lars [Ulrich, METALLICA drummer] came in. And you see how… He's as crazy and amped as you see on YouTube or whatever, but just the nicest guy. He comes in just full of fucking energy. That's Lars. Lars Ulrich is Lars Ulrich, on camera, off camera, and I had no clue how fucking sweet that guy is. He invited us to sing on stage, sing a RAMONES song that night, and it was just incredible. And that's just the type of guys that they all are — incredible human beings and people. And they inspire you to be better people. You wanna be better to your tour family, your home family… I mean, just because you're fucking rich and really successful doesn't mean that you need to be a dick. You can actually be nicer than everybody, which METALLICA has proven to do."
AVENGED SEVENFOLD played at Hartwall Areena in Helsinki, Finland on March 7 as part of its European headlining tour with support from DISTURBED and CHEVELLE.
AVENGED SEVENFOLD is touring in support of its seventh album, "The Stage", which was given a surprise release at the end of October with almost no promotion beforehand. 7

OVERKILL Frontman Says Drummer RON LIPNICKI Can't Tour Because Of 'A Personal Issue'Even though Ron Lipnicki has been part of OVERKILL's lineup for more than a decade now, the drummer has been absent from the band's last few tours, with OVERKILL's longtime drum tech, Eddy Garcia, stepping in to take his place.
In a brand new interview with HardrockHaven.net, OVERKILL singer Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth explained how the drummer switch came about. He said (see video below): "Eddy's been part of our team since Ron's been part of our team, since 2005. He came on very soon thereafter. He was our sound guy. He played for a band called PISSING RAZORS. We had an issue with Ron. He'd broken his wrist, I think it was back in '12. And we were scheduled to do 70000 Tons Of Metal, two shows. We really like Andy [Piller], who puts it together — he's a friend of ours — so we said, 'Hey, here's our situation. We're gonna slide Eddy in.' So Eddy has played with us in the past, filled in for Ron. So when Ron just didn't wanna tour anymore, or just couldn't tour anymore — it seems to be a personal issue that he has — Eddy just was the slide-in. Just, you know, move over… It's kind of cool that he's already part of the team and you know him personally… We know him personally and we know what to expect from what he brings to each day. So he's a good choice for us to have, and we're lucky to have him as part of this team."
OVERKILL's latest album, "The Grinding Wheel", was released on February 10 via Nuclear Blast. The disc was produced by OVERKILL and mixed by Andy Sneap (MEGADETH, EXODUS, ACCEPT). The artwork was created again by Travis Smith (NEVERMORE, OPETH, SOILWORK, DEATH). 4

DRAGONFORCE Guitarist Explains Decision To Cover DEATH's 'Evil Dead'During a brand new interview with That Drummer Guy (a.k.a. Josh Rundquist), DRAGONFORCE guitarist Herman Li spoke about the band's decision to cover the DEATH classic "Evil Dead" as the bonus track on DRAGONFORCE's new album, "Reaching Into Infinity". Herman said: "Well, I guess we just wanted to do something different and unexpected. No one expected us to do a cover like that. Just like when we did the Johnny Cash cover ['Ring Of Fire'] on 'Maximum Overload', people were going, 'What the hell is that?' And, of course, we love DEATH — it's such an awesome, legendary band — so we thought we'd try and see if we can do it justice and give our own style to it. And at the same time, this opens… When you do something different that you haven't done before, you put new challenges and you kind of get better when you finish it. No one ever heard Marc [Hudson, vocals] sing that way before on previous albums, and it helps us grow and finetune our other techniques."
Li added that be expected to get plenty of negative feedback for the "Evil Dead" cover, but insisted that he won't let it bother him. "There'll be plenty of people that's gonna say how much it sucks," he said. "I mean, so far I haven't heard anyone complain about it, but once people start talking about it, they can complain all day long. Because whatever you do, there's always gonna be some haters complaining. So it'll be interesting to see what they have to say. I mean, I always find it kind of entertaining how people slag bands; it's always kind of fun, actually. But I have a twisted sense of humor."
"Reaching Into Infinity" will be released on May 19 via earMUSIC on CD, LP and a special-edition CD and DVD. The follow-up to 2014's "Maximum Overload" marks the band's third full-length studio release with Marc Hudson, who joined the group in 2011 following the departure of original frontman ZP Theart (now in SKID ROW).
The bulk of the recording sessions for "Reaching Into Infinity" took place at Fascination Street studios in Örebro, Sweden with producer Jens Bogren, who has previously worked with OPETH, THE DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT, AMON AMARTH, KATATONIA, SOILWORK and SYMPHONY X, to name a few. The band also laid down tracks while touring their "Killer Elite" best-of album, utilizing Lamerluser Studios in London, U.K.; Dark Lane Studios in Witney, U.K.; as well as the band's own Evil1 Studios in Charleville-Mézières, France and Shredforce One Studios in California. 1
