"I Need It Now", a brand new song from TYKETTO, can be streamed below. The track is taken from the band's new album, "Reach", which will be released on October 14 via Frontiers Music Srl.

After five years of relentless touring that included playing on some of the most prestigious stages on the planet, TYKETTO took their revitalized energy in to the studio in the spring of 2016. The sessions took place at the legendary Rockfield Studios (QUEEN, RUSH, OASIS) in Wales. Musically, the band is truly at the top of their game, with their muscular brand of melodic rock delivered with the finest arrangements and awesome performances.

Lead vocalist Danny Vaughn comments: "Although we only had planned on recording ten songs for 'Reach', we were so pleased with everything, we decided to keep all twelve songs on the record.

British heavy metal band SKYCLAD has signed a record deal with French label Listenable Records.

SKYCLAD guitar player/songwriter Steve Ramsey commented: "We're really looking forward to working with the whole Listenable team. They did a fantastic job for SATAN in the past four years, becoming good friends and reliable partners. We're excited to extend this partnership to the SKYCLAD family."

SKYCLAD formed in 1990 in its hometown of Newcastle Upon Tyne. Combining heavy metal/thrash metal with British indie/post-punk and folk influences, they created a highly original and influential sound; today SKYCLAD are widely regarded as one of the originators of folk metal. The band's lyrics are generally in the vein of a classic protest band, discussing politics, society, social issues and environmental destruction.

In the past 25 years, SKYCLAD played hundreds of shows all across Europe and released 12 critically acclaimed LPs plus several EPs and compilation albums.

SKYCLAD's yet-unnamed first album on Listenable is scheduled for a release in spring 2017. It will be the band's 13th studio album and marks the return of guitarist Dave Pugh to SKYCLAD's lineup as a permanent member.

Steve added: "The new album will contain loads of brand new songs as well as tunes based on demos we recorded around 2011/2012. Some ideas from the mid 1990ies that we recently re-discovered might make it to the LP, too!

"Even though we played a couple of 'old-school shows' recently, the new LP definitely won't be a thrash album; but it will be no typical folk metal album either. We'll use all the options we now have — with three guitarists, additional vocals, fiddle, keyboards, bass and drums — to create an album that will be the same but different. 100 percent SKYCLAD!"

It's an entity dubbed simply ALISSA and her brand new solo project has now been signed to a worldwide deal by Napalm Records.

First things first — White-Gluz remains firmly installed in her role as the frontwoman of ARCH ENEMY. That status has not and will not change. ALISSA is more of a musical collective, led by White-Gluz and featuring contributions from her wide network of also-talented friends, like an own creative commune with little in the way of rules, regulations, or limits.

Most people know Alissa from being in ARCH ENEMY, where she focuses mostly on her growling vocals. While the project is taking shape, some of the confirmed guests so far include past and present members of ARCH ENEMY and KAMELOT, as well as Doyle from the MISFITS. More creative partnerships will be revealed as this exciting and delightfully nebulous project develops and grows. In the meantime, White-Gluz continues to flesh out the material while recruiting players.

ALISSA is essentially another vehicle for White-Gluz to display her talents and an entity that has no boundaries and therein lies the musical thrill — for Alissa White-Gluz and her listeners. An album is already scheduled for 2017 and tour dates will follow around the album release as well.

After numerous tours as part of Avantasia, Rock Meets Classic and as mastermind of the successful Pink Floyd Tribute Echoes, singer and guitarist Oliver Hartmann now presents his fifth studio album, Shadows & Silhouettes, with Hartmann after nearly four years break since the latest release, Balance. The new album will be released on September 30th on the artist owned label Sonic11 in cooperation with Pride & Joy Music.

In other news, The Dead Daisies played Woodstock Festival Poland, the biggest Open Air Festival in Europe, this July. With an average attendance of over 625,000 people over the last four years, the festival is truly massive and the Daisies were welcomed by the giant crowd with open arms and left to thunderous applause.

“Join Together” connected with the crowd in an explosive fashion and this video showcases some of the energy that was created that day. Vocalist John Corabi stated, “We wanted to do ‘Join Together’ cause it's obviously a classic Who song. I just love the power of the guitar and bass when it kicks in with the heavy riff on the second verse... always have. The vocals are pretty easy to get the audience involved, and it's been a crowd favorite when we play it live. We knew the minute we started jamming, it was going to sound great! Dutch necromantic death metallers AntropomorphiA have entered the studio to record the successor to 2014s Rites Ov Perversion.

Comments the band: "We've been writing and shaping new material for the bigger part of this year and now slowly move into the recording era of our upcoming album. VENOM is not to be confused with VENOM INC., the new band featuring original VENOM members Jeff "Mantas" Dunn (guitar) and Anthony "Abaddon" Bray (drums) alongside ex-VENOM bassist/vocalist Tony "Demolition Man" Dolan.

Without directly mentioning VENOM INC., VENOM guitarist Rage (a.k.a. Stuart Dixon) told Metal-Rules.com in a November 2015 interview: "Don't be fooled by pale imitations." VENOM bassist/vocalist Conrad "Cronos" Lant added: "Yes, indeed. Check out the real VENOM. We know that there's been some sites who've been putting our photographs and our VENOM logo up for a whole load of dates that don't have anything to do with us. VENOM play one-off shows, and that's the way we've always done it. And we like to have it as big and as best as we can. We don't do little club tours; that's never been the VENOM way. And we're trying to contact some of these sites to say, 'Look, you're misrepresenting the band. We don't know who this band is that you're talking about, but we're not coming to America to play thirty shows. Please get your shit together and sort it out.' But these web sites must just wanna put any shit on their site."

Cronos also talked about VENOM's musical evolution over the last three and a half decades. He said: "The thing is, the way I've always seen VENOM is… VENOM needs to be a band that evolves. You know, I don't wanna play the same songs fucking year after year after year. I wanna evolve this band. I wanna stay with a slightly commercial… Rock and roll has to be something that you remember, and a lot of the death metal stuff that's all based on the same sort of [fast rhythm], to me, it doesn't have a hook. And I've always found that with songs like 'Welcome To Hell', it's something that stays with you. I know people think 'commercial' is a dirty word with metal, and [they] can fuck off, because commercial just means something that stays with you, that you like, that you enjoy. And that's something that we do well. We come up with songs where you're still thinking about them weeks later, months later after you've heard them. They stick with you. They're not throwaway songs. We don't want any throwaway songs. If the song doesn't move you, and if you don't remember it, you don't wanna keep playing it in the car or wherever, then we throw it away; it's goodbye. We want the stuff that stays hardcore and evolving. You know, still being a bit controversial as well. You know, the song 'Smoke', I'm sure people didn't expect that one out of VENOM; it's a little bit different. But we've always done that. We got shit for '7 Gates Of Hell' back in the day. 'What the fuck? That's not like 'Angel Dust'.' But that's what I love about this band. We have the ability to just keep trying out new ideas and retaining that 'Black Metal' stamp. So fucking long may it continue."

Original KISS guitarist Ace Frehley played a free show at the MotorCity Harley-Davidson Music + Food Festival on Sunday, August 28 as part of the weekend celebration of the grand opening of the new location of MotorCity Harley-Davidson in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Fan-filmed video footage of his performance can be seen below.

According to The Pulse Of Radio, Frehley recently said that Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley's mistreatment of him at KISS's 2014 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction actually inspired him musically. Frehley, who released the covers collection "Origins, Vol. 1" back in April, received great reviews and scored a Top 25 hit with the set. To the surprises of many, Paul Stanley has joined forces with Frehley on the album, taking the lead on a cover of FREE's classic 1970 track "Fire And Water". The recording marked the first time the KISS co-founders appeared on an original album together since the band's 1998 set, "Psycho Circus".

Frehley revealed to The Pulse Of Radio that the impetus for "Origins, Vol. 1" reaching its potential actually came from his treatment by his former bandmates at the Rock Hall induction. "As you probably know, we were asked to perform at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame ceremony, by the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, and me and Peter [Criss] were up for doing that and Paul and Gene shot it down, y'know?" he said. "They made some innuendos that maybe me and Peter weren't up for the task, and that just made me do a better record. [Laughs]"

The Pulse Of Radio asked Frehley how his sobriety improved the recording process this time around. "I'm a lot more focused and I think when people listen to this album, they're probably going to say that — in fact, a lot of reviewers have already said that," he said. "I'm a lot healthier than I was ten years ago. Not everybody can say that in their 60s, y'know, that they're healthier than they were in their 50s. So, I mean, it's a big plus. Y'know, I got a beautiful lady that I'm engaged to, who co-wrote two songs on the record with me and, y'know, life's good today."

MÖTLEY CRÜE has been sued by photographers Neil Zlozower and Barry Levine over photographs the duo took of the band three decades ago, claiming CRÜE never got their permission to use the photos on merchandise in connection with the group's "The Final Tour".

The lawsuit, which was filed on Tuesday (September 6) in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, states: "In the 1980s, Zlozower and Levine photographed the members of the MÖTLEY CRÜE band at Zlozower and Levine's respective studios in Los Angeles. Zlozower and Levine used their own cameras, lighting equipment, film, batteries, backdrops, and accessories. Zlozower and Levine directed the band members as to where to stand, how to pose, and where to position.

"In January 2014, MÖTLEY announced that they will be touring for the very last time before their retirement during their Final Tour. The Final Tour started on July 2, 2014 and ended on December 31, 2015.

"On the information and belief, The Final Tour consisted of one-hundred and thirty concerts around the United States, sixteen shows in Europe, five shows in Asia, six shows in Australia region, and one in South America.

"The Final Tour grossed approximately eight-six million dollars.

"Upon information and belief, in 2014, Motley, Motley Touring, Global Inc., Global Ltd., Live Worldwide, Live Concerts, Live Entertainment, and Live Merchandise copied the Zlozower Photographs and Levine Photographs and placed them on merchandise to sell to the public.

"Upon information and belief, the merchandise was sold on their websites, atconcert venues, and third-party merchandise websites.

Zlozower and Levine are seeking profits from the sale of the merchandise featuring their photographs, as well as damages and attorney's fees.

The classic-era lineup of the horror punk outfit MISFITS — Glenn Danzig, Jerry Only and Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein — reunited for first time since 1983 Sunday night (September 4) to headline this year's Riot Fest.

The reunion, billed as "The Original Misfits," took place at at Denver's Riot Fest And Rodeo. Joining Glenn, Jerry and Doyle at the show was drummer Dave Lombardo (SLAYER, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES).

Asked after the show if this feels like something that can continue, Only told Rolling Stone: "I want it to continue. I know Doyle wants it to continue. I know Glenn wants it to continue. We just have to be big enough people to make it continue. And that's where we're at. Whatever it takes. We're going into our 40th anniversary so the timing couldn't be more perfect. Eventually, Doyle's got to write a new album; I've got to write a new album; Glenn's got to write a new album. Why don't we work together and make the greatest album ever? Now we've got different elements. We've got Doyle playing more of a metal kind of thing. We've got Dave, who we're trying to figure out what the fuck he's doing. And Glenn's got his own thing. And Acey [Slade, second guitar] fills in good too. And I've got the band where it is today. So it's a matter of remolding and using all the different elements that I've got."

Regarding whether they have had a conversation with Glenn about making a new album, Only said: "I think it's got to evolve naturally. The thing is we've tried to plan things and then we stand there and wait and as it comes we'll just do it. When we go back — I don't know about Glenn — but I canceled our touring and everything for this so I'm going to go home and write and lift."

On the topic of what it was like working with Lombardo at the first reunion concert, Only said: "Obviously there's a little transitional period for Dave coming from a thrash-metal background with SLAYER or even SUICIDAL TENDENCIES. Dave is molding into this Fifties atomic-punk band. He needs to learn the fine elements of our songs. When he gets that, we'll be good. Doyle was happy with him today… Because Doyle was, like, 'Dave really doesn't know our material but he wasn't a fanboy.' That was one of the things I liked about him. So if we move forward as a unit and start writing new albums with somebody like Dave, we've got a drummer who's from a different place; we might add a different element into our mixture. You feel him build the energy level. I like playing with him. And he's a nice guy."

The original MISFITS band broke up in 1983, and bassist Jerry Only brought forth a new version of the MISFITS in 1995. Various members have come and gone, but Only, along with BLACK FLAG's Dez Cadena, has kept some form of the MISFITS in the recording studio and on the road for most of the last two decades.

After the original MISFITS disbanded, vocalist Glenn Danzig went on to form SAMHAIN and then the eponymous DANZIG. Several albums of reissued and previously unreleased material were issued after the group's dissolution, and their music became influential to punk rock, heavy metal, and alternative rock music of the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Swedish paleontology professor and heavy metal aficionado Mats E. Eriksson named a fossil worm, Kalloprion Kilmisteri, in honor of Lemmy Kilmister in 2006. Now — ten years later — the fossil has come to brutal sonic life with the aid of prolific Swedish metal musicians, notably members of WOLF, DENATA and SEANCE, interpreting the "paleo metal" song "Silurian Overkill".

The "Kalloprion Kilmisteri - Silurian Overkill" record features three, thrash/death metal tracks with lyrics by Eriksson. The lyrics hail the fossil and honor Lemmy, who tragically passed away in December 2015, while simultaneously flirting with the MOTÖRHEAD legacy.

The first song, a death'n'roll-oozing beast, is composed and arranged by Swedish death metal pioneers SEANCE, this being their first release since 2009! SEANCE today features Tomas Andersson (FREEVIL, DENATA, SEANCE), Johan Larsson (SEANCE), Mique Flesh (FREEVIL, SEANCE, ex-WITCHERY, ex-SATANIC SLAUGHTER), and Tony Toxine Vargfrost (FREEVIL, SEANCE, ex-WITCHERY, ex-SATANIC SLAUGHTER).

The second song, a fast thrash/death metal composition by DENATA, with Tomas Andersson on vocals, features a MOTÖRHEAD-esque guitar solo by film music composer and longtime, die-hard MOTÖRHEAD fan Mattias Bärjed (FREE FALL, REFUSED, ex-THE SOUNDTRACK OF OUR LIVES, ex-NYMPHET NOODLERS).

The third song was also composed by thrash/death metal band DENATA and proudly features howling, metal singer extraordinaire Niklas "Viper" Stålvind (WOLF) on vocals and lead guitar.

The first two tracks were mixed by Mique Flesh in HellSmell Studio, whereas the third track was mixed by Simon Johansson (WOLF) and Mike Wead (KING DIAMOND) in SolnaSound Recording.

Following the digital release, the songs will also be available on a limited, collector's edition 12" picture vinyl, limited to 300 copies worldwide.

The record is released by Mats E. Eriksson together with fellow paleontologist Achim G. Reisdorf as the fourth album in the Sonic Science Slam Explorer series.

The official release party for the vinyl will take place November 11 at the grand opening ceremony of the "Rock Fossils" exhibition in Chemnitz, Germany.

Over the past two years, Metal Blade Records has reissued a whole bunch of Riot albums on digi-CD and vinyl.

On September 23rd the next two titles will be added to the rich catalogue of this fabulous band. Fire Down Under and Restless Breed are two milestones in the history of Riot and these titles will be available again in the best versions yet.

Last night (Monday, September 5th) on the Italian TV channel Premium Sport, the new Overtures’ song, “Through The Storm”, was introduced with a videoclip containing the best actions of the 2015-2016 NFL Championship.

Overtures’ new composition has been commissioned by the Italian TV show to be used as soundtrack for the entire NFL Season, from September to February with the Superbowl event. The main theme of “Through The Storm” will be used as soundtrack for all the matches, recap and TV shows on Premium Sport.

British progressive metal forefather SikTh has announced the re-release of its acclaimed 2006 sophomore album, Death Of A Dead Day, on the 10th anniversary of its original release, September 30th, via Peaceville.

Death Of A Dead Day, arguably the band's most popular record, was recorded over a 6 week period in Miami, FL in 2005, self-produced with mixing and engineering duties handled by Mike LaPlant (Skindred, Nonpoint, Soil, Dashboard Confessional). The album's opening track "Bland Street Bloom" was a brutal progressive thrash song with vocalist Mikee W. Goodman penning lyrics inspired by the gentrification of the UK High Street. The song also spawned an animated video (directed by Tim Fox) which was featured regularly on MTV's Headbangers Ball and was heavily played in the UK - stream the video below.

SikTh played its largest headline tour to date in support of Death Of A Dead Day with "Bland Street Bloom" becoming the band's opening live track for years to come. SikTh's appearance at 2006's Download Festival became legendary - the second stage tent was closed due to overcapacity and the band put on a show that to this day defines its live reputation. In late 2007, the band decided to close the book on SikTh, playing its final show to an emotional crowd in London.

In the years that followed, SikTh's name and influence was kept alive by bands like Protest The Hero, Periphery, TesseracT and Animals As Leaders. The genre known as 'djent' flourished with many stalwarts of the scene, including Meshuggah, claiming SikTh gave birth to the movement.

The 10th Anniversary edition of Death Of A Dead Day will be released on CD with three exclusive bonus tracks - demo versions of "Flogging The Horses," "Part Of The Friction," and "Where Do We Fall"; plus heavyweight double LP with MP3 download code and digitally. Melodic hard rock classics meet big band jazz on Robert Haglund's new album, "I Wanna Be Somebody".

In addition to Robert's reliable vocals and the exquisite band arrangements, the album features prominent guests from bands like KISS, WHITESNAKE, EUROPE and TNT. Swedish singers Svante Thuresson and Jan Johansen also contribute duet vocals.

Robert Haglund has been a professional musician for 20 years now.

"At the age of 15, I already knew that I wanted to become a musician," he said. However, as a teenager a lot revolved around the rock star myth.

Robert was realistic and talented enough to actually become a trained musical artist, going on the become hired for both shows and musicals.

When he saw the DRIFTERS live, got the idea to form av vocal group. Thus, the FANTASTIC FOUR were born, combining Motown soul with crooner aesthetics.

All along, Robert kept enjoying his old favorite rock bands, like KISS and VAN HALEN. Rockers with a strong image and great songs with a groove.

Soon, the idea was born to revisit the world of rock, but from a jazz angle.It wasn't as far-fetched as it may seem. VAN HALEN always had influences from swing jazz — the father of the Van Halen brothers was a jazz clarinetist, and even played on some of the band's albums. "It was also through their lead singer, David Lee Roth, that I discovered Frank Sinatra," said Robert, who once was a contestant in the Swedish version of "Stars In Their Eyes", sucessfully taking on the role of Roth.

The idea of an album took shape. Having guest artist seemed obvious, but Robert wanted to whip the material into shape first, in order to be able to present the concept clearly.

He took his ideas to multi-instrumentalist Erik Mjörnell, together with whom he created most of the arrangements.

A lot of songs were tried out, since not all had the natural swing it took for them to work in this setting.

"Arrangements of this type aren't put together in 15 minutes, Robert explained. It had to sound alive, natural and not like the new instrumentations were forced upon the songs.

When the track listing was decided on, and arrangements finalized, he started contacting a number of musicians and vocalists. To make sure their hearts were in it, he let them decide which songs to contribute to.The first one to show interest was Bruce Kulick, solo guitarist of KISS between 1984 and 1996. "He got back to me the very day after I had contacted him," he said. "Bruce only works with projects that he genuinely likes, and he found this projct to be cool, and well put together."

The fact that Kulick ended up appearing on three different tracks was the seal of approval needed to get others on board. Rudy Sarzo (QUIET RIOT, OZZY OSBOURNE, WHITESNAKE) joins Kulick on the KISS classic "Love Gun".

"Sarzo turned out to be another humble star, with a big heart," Robert said. "He spends a lot of his time taking care of homeless dogs.

The album also features a few Scandinavian musicians and vocalists of note.Guitarist Kee Marcello of the bands EASY ACTION and EUROPE gets to showcase his jazz rock and fusion chops in "The Price" by TWISTED SISTER.

"Kee is a super musician whose versitality not eveyone is aware of," Robert enthused. "He really made the song shine. If you listen carefully, you can even find a litte tribute to THE BEATLES' 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps' in there."

Robert was also very pleased with THIN LIZZY's "Don't Believe A Word", a duet with Tony Harnell of TNT.

"Tony loves LIZZY, and his voice has a bluesy tone that suits the song perfectly," Robert said.

The Swedish stars singing duets with Robert on the album aren't half bad, either. Jan Johansen has his roots in melodic rock, while Svante Thuresson is the only one guesting the album who originally comes from the jazz and swing world.

"Svante turns 80 next year, but is still curious about new things," said Robert.

The legendary singer chose to lend his smooth voice to "Ain't No Love In the Heart Of The City", a Bobby Bland classic that WHITESNAKE took to another level.

The title track, "I Wanna be Somebody", was originally written and recorded by W.A.S.P. Another visual, highly image-driven band that Robert grew up listening to.

"Some may think that the title refers to me, but it's mainly about the fact that a lot of people today want to become celebrities at any cost," Robert said. "Our whole society seems to be consumed by this dream of becoming famous."

All in all, there are ten brilliantly re-arranged rock classics on the album.

Needless to say, Robert is pleased that it finally sees the light of day.

"It's easy to lose heart at times, when the jigsaw is spread out, you have kids and everything seems to take more time than it should," he said. "But, just like my childhood heroes, I refused to let others decide on my destiny. If one door closes, another one usually opens, and now the album is finished!"

It is Robert's hope, and belief, that listeners will find these versions worthwhile.

"A lot of rockers probably feels that they have heard a song like 'Enter Sandman' enough times. Here they may find new sides to the song, and others on the album."

"I Wanna Be Somebody" was released August 19 on MMS Records, and distributed by Universal Music. The release will be followed by live gigs in a slightly smaller format.

Cult Swedish death metallers Deranged will release a new full-length album, Struck By A Murderous Siege, on October 28th via Agonia Records. It is the band's first studio album in five years, and their ninth altogether, that was recently completed at Berno Studio (Amon Amarth, The Crown, Witchery) in their hometown Malmö. The album's cover artwork is a visiual depiction of its title, and it was created by Mike Hrubovcak (Grave, Six Feet Under, Sinister).

Despite of Deranged's roots, their sound is more associated with American death metal rather than the early 90's Swedish death metal scene they originated from, and can be described as technical and brutal death/grind with several groove influences.

Guitarist/main songwriter Thomas Ahlgren commented on the album: "The new Deranged album, titled Struck By A Murderous Siege is a blend of classical Deranged brutality with a bit of new elements that will fit perfectly both old and new Deranged fans. You can be sure about that! The album, consisting of five fast, grinding and shredding songs and three heavy mid-tempo tunes, will give the listener the most interesting and varied Deranged album so far. Finnish melodic deathsters, Insomnium, have released a fourth video trailer for their forthcoming new album, Winter’s Gate, which will be released on September 23rd via Century Media Records. See all four trailers below.

The album is built around a short story, Winter’s Gate (Talven portti in Finnish) by vocalist and bassist Niilo Sevänen, which won awards and nominations in Finland back in 2007 and 2008. It’s a story about a group of Vikings who set out to find a fabled island west from Ireland, even though the winter is drawing near.

The full story is released together with the album as a book that has the tale in English, Finnish and German - illustrated by the artist Teemu Tähkänen.

Insomnium have announced a European tour for early 2017 to support their forthcoming release, Winter’s Gate, a concept album that is made of one epic 40-minute song, which they are going to play in its entirety on this tour.

Frontman Niilo Sevänen comments: ”We are very excited to get back on the road again! Last autumn a serious illness in my family forced us to make some drastic decisions and for example cancel one tour altogether. Since then things have progressed very well and steadily so everything looks a lot better at the moment. We’ve only made festivals and short trips this year but in 2017 we’ll be back on making longer tours all over the world.

“The forthcoming Winter’s Gate album has been mixed by Dan Swanö and it sounds amazing. Playing this 40-minute monster song will be an interesting challenge in a live situation but we can’t wait to do this! An "all-angle" lookback at METALLICA's headlining concert on August 20 at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota — featuring the song "Sad But True" — can be seen below.

METALLICA's tenth studio album, "Hardwired...To Self-Destruct", will be released on November 18 via Blackened Recordings. The long-awaited follow-up to 2008's "Death Magnetic" consists of two discs, containing a dozen songs and nearly 80 minutes of music.

"Hardwired...To Self-Destruct" was produced by Greg Fidelman with frontman James Hetfield and drummer Lars Ulrich. The band recorded the disc at its own studio.

Ulrich told Rolling Stone that he is looking forward to performing many of the new songs live. "Some of the stuff on 'Death Magnetic' was pretty cerebral," he said. "You had to really think about what the next crazy part is that was coming up. Some of the songs from the new record are a little more physical. It's gonna be a lot of fun to play this. Also, some of these songs are a little shorter than the ones on 'Death Magnetic'. I think it's gonna be a lot of fun to throw many of these songs in, but we'll change the setlist every night like we always do."

The drummer added that METALLICA will embark on its first proper American arena tour since 2009 next year. "It's time to come back, and do some proper penetration of America," he said.

"We did 180 shows on the 'Death Magnetic' tour in two-week periods over three years. That's what works for us. We're going to start pretty much full-on touring in January and are looking to figure out what we're doing in North America, but there will definitely be some pretty extensive touring in America."

"Hardwired...To Self-Destruct" will be issued on double CD, vinyl and digital download. A deluxe version will feature a bonus disc containing the riffs that formed the origins of the album along with "The Lords Of Summer", which the band debuted on tour a couple of years ago.

Brazil-based animator Val Andrade, who made a splash several years ago with his unique cartoons based on Iron Maiden's catalogue of songs, has returned with a new clip. This time he pays tribute to Robin Williams with "Tears Of A Clown". Check it out below.

“Tears Of A Clown”, a track on Iron Maiden’s album The Book Of Souls, is dedicated to late comedian Robin Williams.

Speaking with Italy’s Corriere Della Sera frontman Bruce Dickinson explained, “My favourite song is one I didn’t write. It’s 'Tears Of A Clown', which talks about Robin Williams. I ask myself how could he be so depressed when he always seemed to be so happy.”

Robin Williams committed suicide in August 2014 after struggles with depression and addiction.

"Nobody's Fool", a brand new song from HARDLINE, can be streamed below. The track is taken from the band's new album, "Human Nature", which will be released on October 14 via Frontiers Music Srl.

Following the rebirth of the band that happened with the release of "Danger Zone" in 2012, HARDLINE has regrouped around fabulous singer Johnny Gioeli (AXEL RUDI PELL) with the excellent production and keyboard skills of Alessandro Del Vecchio (RATED X, RESURRECTION KINGS, REVOLUTION SAINTS), the shredding talents of guitarist Josh Ramos (THE STORM), and the powerful rhythm section made up of bassist Anna Portalupi (TARJA) and drummer Francesco Jovino (PRIMAL FEAR, JORN). All these musicians have an impressive pedigree, but what makes HARDLINE special is how well their unique and different talents blend together.

The goal for their new album was to have a heavier and updated version of the original HARDLINE sound. Think debut album, 1992's "Double Eclipse", updated for the 21st Century, with a grittier and more straight-ahead sound. Anthemic, hard rocking songs are what you can expect from this record and hook after hook, riff after riff, you'll find yourself wowed by this absolute monster of an album!

When Gioeli and Del Vechhio got together to begin writing songs for the album, "The plan was to create an album that emulates the feeling of 'Double Eclipse' combined with the dynamics of modern-day rock. Very heavy and in your face, but still with hitting melodies," says Johnny.

"I have a tremendous amount of Axel Rudi Pell fans that know me for the way I deliver a metal song too. So, yes, it's definitely the heaviest we have done since the debut. I see this album as the perfect mix of styles."

"As a producer, I pushed everyone to squeeze these songs and put as much attitude as we could on tape," adds Alessandro Del Vecchio. "We wanted more of an in-your-face attitude than our softer albums. I think we understood we had something special in our hands when we finished 'Take You Home'. Even if it's the ballad of the album, I guess it's the focal point of the musical bond that Johnny and myself share with the whole band."

"The guys put their heart and soul into their performances," concludes Johnny. "You can hear the essence of every drum strike and the sweat hitting the drums shortly after. Do it again, Cesco! Legendary bassist/vocalist Glenn Hughes (DEEP PURPLE, BLACK SABBATH) and blues-rock guitarist/vocalist Joe Bonamassa began writing material today (Monday, September 5) for the forthcoming fourth album from BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION. The sessions took place at Hughes's Los Angeles-area home.

In addition to Hughes and Bonamassa, BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION features drummer Jason Bonham (LED ZEPPELIN, FOREIGNER) and keyboardist Derek Sherinian (DREAM THEATER, ALICE COOPER, BILLY IDOL). The band split in late 2012 due to tensions between Bonamassa and Hughes but announced a reunion earlier this year.

Regarding how the reunion came about, Hughes told the Danish metal magazine Metalized: "In February I was doing an interview with Gary Graff, the editor of Billboard magazine in America. Gary asked me some questions about [DEEP PURPLE's Rock And Roll] Hall Of Fame [induction]. I said to him that I don't think I will ever be in a band again after BLACK COUNTRY because the legacy of those three albums was so mighty and the band was so good with each member being very, very good. I said to him that BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION will be the last band I play in. Three weeks later, Joe Bonamassa calls me for dinner. I had no idea why."

He continued: "We're friends. We've always been friends. People thought we weren't friends. He said, 'Hey, don't you think it's time we make another great album?' I said, 'I do. And do you know that this is the last band I am gonna play in?' We joked about it.

"Joe and I are very friendly. We never ever fell out. Joe is a solo artist as I am now.

"The fans on the Internet thought we were fighting. We never fought.

"When Joe and I had dinner in March in L.A., we hugged each other and said, 'Hey, we're friends, we're family.' I am a big fan of Joe as a person and a musician, and I like his fans."

"We are going to do this one step at a time. Let's do the album and think about doing some shows. Let's see what happens. Let's embrace it."

Asked about his expectations for the fourth BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION album, Hughes answered: "I think the world needs another big rock album.

"I love BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION so much, and I am so happy that we're getting back together again.

"BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION really gave me so much energy to write.

"When I joined the band, Joe and I were working for a year before Jason and Derek and Kevin [Shirley, producer] joined. Joe and I were working together writing in 2009. He was doing great, coming up as a solo artist. He said to me very kindly that he was a solo artist and that he was going to be a solo artist for the rest of his life. And I said to him, 'That's fantastic.' I never asked him to change and be in a band with me. I had other things going on, I had other people to play with.

"Joe and I knew that he was going to continue and BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION would be a band that would play shows from time to time. That was it. We did 33 shows in all in three years which isn't very much. Again, there was no expectations to play anymore. But when we broke up, there was the factor: if you can't play any shows, there's no point making new music. You know, I was writing all the time.

"I said to Joe, 'I think I should go back and make a solo album,' and he said, 'Great!' And that what's happened. My first thing is my solo career now."

BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION's third album, "Afterglow", sold 8,500 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 48 on The Billboard 200 chart.

2012's "2" CD from BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION opened with 8,000 units to land at No. 71.

BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION's self-titled debut album registered a first-week tally of 7,100 copies to enter the chart at No. 54.
