THE JELLY JAM Featuring Members Of DREAM THEATER, WINGER And KING'S X - Official Profit Docuteaser Video StreamingThe Jelly Jam released their new album, Profit, on May 27th via Music Theories Recordings / Mascot Label Group. A behind-the-scenes look at the recording of Profit can be seen below:
Dream Theater’s John Myung, Winger’s Rod Morgenstein, and King’s X’s Ty Tabor will tour globally for the first time to support the recordings. Profit is a cinematic experience, full of suspense, as the individual songs sequentially follow the heroic yet daunting journey of The Prophet, who inspired by a deep sense of responsibility embarks on a mission to try and save the world, aiming to open the eyes of those who will not see .
When asked about collaborative efforts of The Jelly Jam guitarist Ty Tabor describes John as, “The forefather of the band,” and enthuses that “Playing with Rod has been a lifelong dream. I was a huge fan of his right out of high school and The Dixie Dregs transformed my idea of what a band could do. Rod was a huge part of the insanity on all of those early Dixie Dregs albums. It’s just a joy to get to play with him.”
The band’s first album The Jelly Jam was released in 2002, followed by 2004’s The Jelly Jam 2. The members’ work with Dream Theater, Winger and King’s X kept the band away from the studio until the critically acclaimed Shall We Descend in 2011 marked a triumphant return for the trio.
Guitarist Ty Tabor’s musical pedigree is vast. Not only has he produced The Jelly Jam’s four albums, he wrote all three of King’s X top ten songs that include “It’s Love”, “Black Flag”, “Dogman” and toured the world with AC/DC, Pearl Jam, Cheap Trick, Scorpions, Iron Maiden amongst others. Honoured by VH1 as one of Hard Rock’s Top 100 bands, they were also included in the 1991 movie soundtrack to Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey and their 1994 appearance at the Woodstock Festival was hailed by USA Today, The Daily Show’s Jon Stewart and Howard Stern as the festival’s highlight.
Bassist John Myung is a founding member of Dream Theater who have sold over twelve million albums worldwide. Dream Theater have won many awards including the Spirit of Prog Award from Classic Rock Magazine, and were inducted into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame in 2010. The band have two Grammy nominations, while Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes From A Memory was voted the #1 Progressive Rock Album of All Time by Rolling Stone, whose readers also voted Dream Theater as one of The Best Prog Rock Bands of All Time.
Drummer Rod Morgenstein began his illustrious career with The Dixie Dregs, who received six Grammy nominations, before becoming a darling of the ‘80s rock scene with Winger who achieved multiple chart topping singles including “Seventeen”, “Headed For A Heartbreak” and “Miles Away”. Rod has played with Platypus, The Steve Morse Band, Dream Theater’s Jordan Rudess and is an Associate Professor at the prestigious Berklee College Of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. He has also been awarded Modern Drummer Magazine’s Best Progressive Rock Drummer five years in a row, as well as the Best All-Around Drummer Award, and was inducted into the magazine's Honor Roll.
The Jelly Jam will support their latest album Profit with a full tour (dates to be announced). As guitarist Ty Tabor explains, “This album is without a doubt the most special moment the band has ever had together and we must make touring real this year to support this album.”
Ty Tabor describes the album’s concept as “a fight between progress and jobs at all cost and not thinking about any future payment that are going to have to be made.” Adding further that, “Each Jelly Jam album is very different and we are most definitely discovering new ground. The first album was pretty straight ahead in its nature and vibe. The second album was more about the songwriting and had a very different feel. By the time we got to Shall We Descend, we were all at different musical places. It had more of a darker edge to it, but we finally realized that we had tapped in to something that was unique to us. There really is no Jelly Jam ‘sound’. In order to make Profit the strongest album, we recorded a lot of excess music and chose songs that work together towards the general story idea. Musically and sonically we started experimenting a lot further than we had before. It stands on its own as an album beginning to end with a purpose. It’s not just a bunch of songs thrown together. It’s an entire journey through a story.”
The album is available in LP + Mp3, CD, Digital and MFiT formats.

MACHINE HEAD To Release 'Is There Anybody Out There?' Single This FridaySan Francisco Bay Area metallers MACHINE HEAD will release a brand new single, titled "Is There Anybody Out There?", on June 3. "The song is about love, loneliness, racism, and not getting what is going on in the world/America," comments MACHINE HEAD guitarist/vocalist Robb Flynn. "It's very much about current events, but applies to a bigger picture."
"Is There Anybody Out There?" will be made available digitally for purchase on iTunes, Amazon and Google Play, and will also be available on Spotify, Apple Music, and all streaming services.
The track, which was recorded last October at Trident Studios in Martinez, California, received an exclusive premiere earlier today via SiriusXM radio's Octane channel 37 and can be streamed at this location. It was produced by Flynn and co-produced and mixed by Joel Wanasek.
"Is There Anybody Out There?" marks MACHINE HEAD's first new release since the arrival of the band's latest album, "Bloodstone & Diamonds", which sold around 18,200 copies in the United States in its first week to debut at position No. 21 on The Billboard 200 chart. Issued on November 10, 2014 via Nuclear Blast Entertainment, the CD was produced by Robb Flynn and Juan Urteaga, and like the last seven of eight MACHINE HEAD albums, was mixed by Colin Richardson. Additional tracking, editing, and mixing was done with Andy Sneap (MEGADETH, EXODUS, TESTAMENT, ARCH ENEMY) and Steve Lagudi.

Video Premiere: IZEGRIM's 'Time To Run'"Time To Run", the new video from Dutch metallers IZEGRIM, can be seen below. The clip was filmed in Belgium in cooperation with Panda Productions under the supervision of Jens de Vos, who has previously helmed videos for ABORTED and EPICA. The song's lyrical theme deals with a deranged murderer brutally killing people at random for no reason.
IZEGRIM vocalist/lyricist Marloes comments: "It represents a stunning and powerful hell-ride into the gruesome depths of my freaky mind. The victims' faces are just pictures on the wall to me."
"Time To Run" is taken from IZEGRIM's latest album, "The Ferryman's End", which was released on April 15 via Listenable.
Recorded at the prestigious Soundlodge studio in Germany, the ferocious new CD is the follow-up to the band's previous full-length releases, "Code Of Consequences" and "Congress Of The Insane".
Many bands are said not being able to top their earlier albums. "The Ferryman's End" proves that wrong in a very brutal manner, taking the catchy components of what made the band so successfully murderous on record as well as in the live environment and developing them further into extremely punishing barbarity.
IZEGRIM guitarist Jeroen comments: "With this new album, we aimed for more catchy songs, to-thepoint songwriting, agression, viciousness and on top of that a better production. We went 'back to basics,' essentially to incorporate better structure and more power than ever before. This album sounds massive and most certainly a punch right in your face."
Lyrically, Marloes steps into the shoes of a twisted and insane main character sitting on death row waiting to be executed. Every individual song is a journey further into the sick and disturbed brain of the murderer. During the very last act of terror, the Ferryman gets killed, leaving all souls of his victims to dwell forever.
Artwork duties were handled by Eliran Kantor (TESTAMENT, SATAN, HATEBREED, SOULFLY).
"The Ferryman's End" track listing:
01. White Walls02. Time To Run03. Endless Desire04. The Evil Within05. Absolute Necessity06. Reclaim My Identity07. Insanity Is Freedom08. Reflection Of Redemption09. Through A Glass Darkly10. Lost In Tranquillity11. The Ferrymans End

PROPHETS OF RAGE Feat. RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE Members: Video Footage Of Live DebutPROPHETS OF RAGE, the new supergroup featuring the instrumental members of RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE alongside rappers Chuck D from PUBLIC ENEMY and B-Real from CYPRESS HILL, made its live debut last night (Tuesday, May 31) at the Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood, California. Tickets went on sale Tuesday morning at the Whisky box office for $20, with proceeds from the show going to P.A.T.H. (People Assisting The Homeless).
PROPHETS played songs from all three bands, including RAGE classics like "Testify", "Guerilla Radio" and "Bulls On Parade", and PUBLIC ENEMY tracks "Miuzi Weighs A Ton" and "Prophets Of Rage", from which the band gets its name. One of the band's original songs is called "The Party Is Over" and was reportedly dedicated to controversial Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
RAGE and PROPHETS guitarist Tom Morello told Radio.com: "Dangerous times do demand dangerous songs. This historical moment is really unprecedented. Both the country and the world are on the brink of the abyss. And we thought it was wholly irresponsible of us to be sitting on the sidelines . . . This is not just music, this is a movement."
Regarding the absence of RAGE frontman Zack de la Rocha, Chuck D said. "It takes me and B-Real to do RAGE-ified Zack de la Rocha songs, so a marching salute out to him."
Morello himself told The Pulse Of Radio a while back that RAGE's style of political rap-rock could not be simply duplicated. "It's a product of the very unique personalities and chemistry of the four guys in the band," he said. "None of us could have made songs that sound like this without the other three. It was an absolutely unheard-of combination, both musically, ethnically and, in Zack's lyrics, the point of view expressed in his lyrics was one that had never been heard on the radio before."
Morello told Rolling Stone that the new outfit was "not a supergroup," adding, "We're an elite task force of revolutionary musicians determined to confront this mountain of election-year bullshit, and confront it head-on with Marshall stacks blazing."
PROPHETS OF RAGE's second show is set to take place this Friday, June 3 at the Hollywood Palladium. 2

EPICA To Release 'The Holographic Principle' Album In OctoberDutch symphonic metallers EPICA have set "The Holographic Principle" as the title of their seventh studio album, due on October 1 via Nuclear Blast.
Speaking to Spark TV, which is part of the Czech monthly magazine Spark, EPICA singer Simone Simons stated about the follow-up to 2014's "The Quantum Enigma" (see video below): "We are still in the process of realizing the songs. It's a huge amount of songs, it's a lot of information, it's a lot to take in, but we put everything in this record and we hope that it will pay off and that the people will feel what we feel when we listen to it."
She added: "Since 'The Quantum Enigma' was received so well, we set the bar so high, but we accepted the challenge to make an even better record. And we've done everything bigger than before — we had more orchestra, a bigger choir. We had so many different instruments — real, live instruments. Vocally, I put everything in the record that I can possibly do, and I'm very pleased with it."
According to Simone, she has once again experimented a bit with her vocal approach on the new album. "With each record, I try to get the best out," she said. "And Joost [van den Broek], our producer, he's also very good at getting everything out of me. And the songs themselves, they just ask for a lot of variation in the vocal style. And I do opera, rock, pop, and in the ballads you hear the really soft voice. And, yeah, I can belt out some high notes as well."
Even though "The Holographic Principle" is one of EPICA's most ambitious offerings to date, the album doesn't sacrifice any of its instant appeal, something which Simone says was intentional. "I think it needs to be all in balance," she said. "We are, in heart, a metal band going in the symphonic direction. The orchestration, the choir is a little bit like the seventh and eighth bandmember of EPICA, and that's something we'll always keep in there. And the choir parts are often very catchy, the choruses are very catchy. But on this record, besides having catchy melodies, we also wanted to have really groovy vocal lines. And that's something that we worked on as well; we changed up some things to make it less predictable."
One of the aspects of EPICA's sound which has been enhanced on "The Holographic Principle" is the growling vocal style of EPICA guitarist and main songwriter Mark Jansen. "Well, it's Mark and it's actually our drummer as well," Simone said. "Mark is the main grunter, and our drummer, Ariën [van Weesenbeek], has a really nice, thick sound. So I don't know if he sang all the grunt parts as well, if he doubled them with Mark, but them together makes a totally new grunt sound, and I like it. Also, it changes it up a bit. Mark can do also really low grunts, he can do screams, and Ariën really has that deep sound to it."
Simone also praised the contributions of EPICA guitarist Isaac Delahaye, who came into the band in 2009. "The guitars are definitely more brutal," she said. "Also in the mix, the melodies, the grooves, and I think that ever since Isaac joined the band, not only as a songwriter but also the guitars have been lifted to a different level, and have become more interesting to listen to, I find myself. So I'm a big fan of his guitar work and also his songwriting." 13

Vocalist MARY ZIMMER Quits WHITE EMPRESS, Issues Video Statement, Launches New Band SANTA MARTA"So, it's not easy for me to post this but the attached video is me announcing my resignation as the singer for White Empress," says Mary Zimmer. "It was not an easy decision to leave the band, but it was necessary. I decided to make a video for you guys so that you could actually hear the tone of my voice as I'm speaking about my reasons. My most poignant statements are toward the end of the video. This time, I'm not giving up or taking a break from music like I did for the years between Luna Mortis and White Empress. I'm launching a new band right away with Erik EazyTattoos Lockaby called Santa Marta: The Band and the first video teaser is at the end of my video below. Also you can click on the link and check out the band page and more.
Please watch this video to see what I have to say... I do mention this in the video but though I have left, I did still complete the upcoming EP for White Empress with photos and videos. I've already told them that I'd be fine if they wanted to release the EP with me on it, though, I have officially resigned. Basically I wasn't planning on quitting, so I'd love to see the hard work and time we put into the EP come to fruition, regardless. Largely, I'm cool with everyone in the band still and I'd like it if you'd still show them your support and avoid the online shit-talking. Please especially show your support to Adam Sagan as he continues his battle with cancer. Thank you all so much for everything and here's what I have to say:"

DRAGONFORCE Preparing To Record New Album; Career-Spanning Best-Of Collection Due In JulyDRAGONFORCE, the Grammy-nominated power metallers, are poised to release a comprehensive career-spanning "best-of" — the first time the UK band has presented this kind of historical "chapter & verse" collection.
"Killer Elite - The Hits, The Highs, The Vids" is scheduled for a July 23 release through Spinefarm Records. The 22-track set — two hours and 30 minutes of music, featuring both studio and live material, with promo clips added to the deluxe set — fully showcases the ambition, variety and skill of the group's musical output, now taking in six studio albums; elements of thrash, speed and power metal are spread across accelerated rockers and more measured, melodic offerings.
It encompasses everything, from their biggest hit, "Through The Fire And Flames", a staple inclusion on several best-selling video games (i.e. Guitar Hero) and recently used as the basis of a U.S. mockumentary featuring the band and Oculus Rift founder Palmer Luckey through "Dawn Over A New World", a ballad harking back to the early years.
With latest recruit, singer Marc Hudson, now having two studio albums under his belt (2012's "The Power Within" and 2014's "Maximum Overload"), "Killer Elite..." is the chance for new fans to familiarize themselves with glories past and for long-standing supporters to revel in the attention to detail of a multi-format package balancing audience faves with compositions close to the collective DRAGONFORCE heart...
Guitarist Herman Li, who started the group in 1999 with fellow shredder Sam Totman, says: "The aim of this release is to give a strong flavor of everything we've recorded so far, and I like to think it shows a lot of diversity. Certainly, we tried to make it as broad-based as possible. Since Marc joined the band (replacing original frontman ZP Theart), we've actually released some of our speediest songs and some our most melodic compositions, too. DRAGONFORCE isn't just about the relentless tempos and the flashy solos; ultimately, it'd the feel of the music that counts..."
The release will be available in the following formats:
* 2 CD package (The Hits, The Highs)
*Deluxe special digippack edition, including a DVD featuring all of the band's promo clips (The Hits, The Highs, The Vids)
*Digital download (The Hits, The Highs)
The band has also set to work on the follow-up to "Maximum Overload" at Fascination Street studios in Sweden with producer Jens Bogren; this new record is provisionally scheduled for a mid-March 2017 release with a world tour to follow.
DRAGONFORCE will headline the ProgPower USA festival in Atlanta on Wednesday September 7 and a special "up close and personal" show at St. Vitus in Brooklyn on Saturday, September 10. At both shows, the band will play a "best-of" set to reflect the track listing of the "Killer Elite" album.

Film Adaptation Of MÖTLEY CRÜE’s The Dirt To Be Made “Shortly”, Says TOMMY LEEIn a new interview with Mötley Crüe’s Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee, Sixx says, “There's a long list of things that are important for us to keep our legacy alive.” Included in that is the long-awaited film adaptation of the 2001 band memoir The Dirt: Confessions Of The World’s Most Notorious Rock Band.
There's no timeline on it yet, but Sixx and Lee are confident it will eventually see the light of day. "The movie is definitely going to be made here, shortly," Lee says, while Sixx adds that, "I've heard different rumblings of stuff -- somewhere like fall, maybe. The music business is complicated. The film business is slow and complicated."
While not everyone was able to see their Final Show live, Crüe fans can now catch all the action when Fathom Events, Live Alliance, Eagle Rock Entertainment and Tenth Street Entertainment present Mötley Crüe: The End in select US cinemas on Tuesday, June 14th at 7 PM, local time for only one night. In addition to the epic concert footage, cinema audiences will be treated to behind-the-scenes footage of the band’s last global tour.
Tickets for Mötley Crüe: The End can be purchased online by visiting FathomEvents.com or at participating theater box offices. Fans throughout the US will be able to enjoy the event in nearly 250 movie theaters through Fathom’s Digital Broadcast Network. For a complete list of theater locations visit the Fathom Events website (theaters and participants are subject to change).
In January, 2014, Mötley Crüe held a press conference announcing their Final Tour, complete with a “cessation of touring” agreement signed by all members prohibiting any and all future live engagements under the Mötley Crüe name. Mötley Crüe’s two-year concert trek, saw the band — Vince Neil (vocals), Mick Mars (guitars), Nikki Sixx (bass) and Tommy Lee (drums) — perform across five continents (North America, South America, Europe, Australia and Asia) for a total of more than 164 shows in 72 markets grossing over $100 million.
Known for their over-the-top production, Mötley Crüe did not disappoint for their last show ever on New Year’s Eve: from massive, cutting-edge pyro, including Nikki Sixx’s bass guitar spitting fire over 30 ft. into the air, and Tommy Lee’s “Crüecifly” drum roller coaster, amongst many other spectacular elements. Lead singer, Vince Neil, delivered an emotional, “thank you” speech to the audience, while the band supplied next-level, high-octane fueled energy, ringing in the New Year on stage with thousands of balloons raining down on the crowd. The grand finale of the show included a blow-out performance of their hit single, “Kickstart My Heart” with Nikki Sixx and Vince Neil floating above the audience in far-reaching “cherry-pickers.” Leaving fans in tears, the show concluded with an emotional encore rendition of “Home Sweet Home” from the second stage riser in the center of the audience.
Fathom Events CEO John Rubey said, “We’re excited to bring the opportunity for Mötley Crüe’s legion of supporters to experience their Final Show and relive the magic one more time. Filled with their hard-rock anthems and unforgettable stage presentation, this show is not to be missed.”
“Mötley Crüe: The End” was produced and distributed by Live Alliance and Eagle Rock Enetertainment. Christian Lamb directed the concert portion. Jeff Tremaine, creator of the Jackass series, directed the documentary segment.

RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS Frontman ANTHONY KIEDIS Denies Relapsing Into Drug UseAccording to The Pulse Of Radio, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS frontman Anthony Kiedis said in an interview with Australian TV program "Sunday Night" that drugs did not play a role in the illness that put him in the hospital and forced the band to cancel two shows earlier this month. Asked about rumors that he had relapsed into abusing drugs, Kiedis replied: "I felt more care than anything else. I got a lot of messages in the mail; it just seemed like people did care. My friends called, people I hadn't spoken to for years called, but what people assume or think about using, I could care less. It didn't faze me at all."
He added: "I happen to love being sober, I also loved being wasted at times. Being sober for me is a pleasure, I get a lot of joy out of it; it works for me. I get to surf, I get to hang out with my son, I get to play music, I get to be okay."
Kiedis, who got sober many years ago, told The Pulse Of Radio a while back that it's a mistake to associate drug addiction only with artists. "My experience with drug addiction and alcoholism and stuff like that is, it really, you know, it isn't specific to musicians or bankers or lawyers or doctors or housewives or kids or adults or whatever," he said. "It's kind of a condition that affects everybody equally. It's kind of an equal opportunity disease, if you will."
Kiedis also described to "Sunday Night" what happened the night he got sick saying: "This was knocking me off my feet, and I was white as a ghost, and my whole gut section just seized up, and I was kind of falling to my knees in pain, so I got taken by a friend to the hospital from the gig."
The singer blamed an intestinal virus plus complications from old scar tissue for his condition, musing: "Maybe there was a reason for me to get sick, so I can get stronger than I was before."
The CHILI PEPPERS' eleventh studio effort, titled "The Getaway", will be released on June 17. The band has already issued the title track and the first official single, "Dark Necessities". 2

HELLYEAH's TOM MAXWELL On Why New Rock Bands Aren't Selling A Lot Of Records: 'People Don't Wanna Buy Dogs**t'Finland's Kaaos TV recently conducted an interview with HELLYEAH guitarist Tom Maxwell. You can now listen to the chat in the YouTube clip below. A few excerpts follow (transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET).
On why so many new rock bands are having a difficult time selling records in the digital age:
Tom: "Well, people don't wanna buy dogshit. You know what I mean? I think that's why. That's really basically what it comes down to. There's just so much oversaturation and just so many bands, and none of them sound original; everybody sounds like the band you just listened to before. I put on a heavy metal radio station here in the States, [and] nine times out of ten, I can't tell who's who. So why would people go out and spend good money on music that fucking sucks? So, yeah, I get it [why] people will buy one or two songs at a time, because usually that's the only… most records only have one or two good songs nowadays, so why would they wanna go spend all their money on a whole record that sucks ass.
"If you really dig deep and put together a record — from song one until the end — that is just great, and you don't have any songs that you fast-forward to the next song for, then, you know, they might need that record, they might need to have all of it, the whole package, not just one song.
"I think with technology nowadays, with, obviously, all the downloading an streaming, it gives people an opportunity to listen to your record and judge whether they wanna go out and buy it or not. So, yeah, I think if more bands put more time and quality into the writing, they might actually sell more records."
On whether it still makes sense for bands like HELLYEAH to release full-length albums:
Tom: "You know, I don't know. I kind of battle with that decision too sometimes, whether it's worth doing whole records. Sometimes I wonder if it'd be better off just writing an entire record but releasing it in increments, you know what I mean? Like, three songs a quarter or something — just have something special for them to listen to every time. But most record labels won't do that, because retail buys all the records upfront, so, yeah, they want their money; they make money off a CD still, because retail pays upfront. You can't really make sales when you're releasing things virally, I would say, so they still wanna get paid for those hard copies."
On whether he thinks YouTube and other streaming services are good for newer bands:
Tom: "Sure. I mean, any kind of promotion, anything you can use to promote your band is good. Nowadays I wonder if making videos is worth it anymore, but our 'Moth' video has been shown over ten million times, so people are watching. I think there's good and bad in all the technology. You can't just look at it as all bad. It's a double-edged sword; there's good and there's bad. You just have to use the good to your advantage and try to work around the bad and strategically do things that will benefit you in a world where streaming, for example, could be a problem for most people. [You have to look at it] as a tool to get the music out there to more people."
On whether he uses Spotify himself:
Tom: "Yeah, I mean, sometimes; sometimes I'll put it on. I don't really see the big deal. Some people get pissed off that their music is up there, but unless you're selling five million records a week and it's affecting your sales to that extent, then, yeah, it might be an issue for somebody who can't afford to put a brand new Jacuzzi in their palace or whatever. But for upcoming bands and bands that aren't really selling or making the kind of music [that results in those kinds of] record sales or whatnot, yeah, you need it. Why not? What's the big deal? It's just another tool for people to hear your music."
HELLYEAH's fifth album, "Unden!able", will be released on June 3. The disc marks the first time that HELLYEAH's current lineup — which includes Vinnie, Maxwell, Gray, guitarist Christian Brady and bassist Kyle Sanders — has recorded together as a unit.
HELLYEAH recorded "Unden!able" at The Hideout Recording Studio in Las Vegas, where it was produced by Kevin Churko, who co-wrote all the songs. 7

ANTHRAX: Rock Is Not DeadArtisan News conducted an interview with ANTHRAX singer Joey Belladonna and drummer Charlie Benante at the inaugural Rock'N Derby festival, which was held May 20-22 at the Schaghticoke Fairgrounds in Schaghticoke, New York. You can now watch the chat below.
Asked about some people's claim that "rock is dead," Joey said: "I never thought it was dead. It was just lingering for a while."
Added Charlie: "It just doesn't get the media attention that it once got. But we've been playing all these festivals, and forty thousand people here, sixty thousand people there… I don't think rock is dead at all."
Continued Joey: "You just do your thing and just do it well, and people will pay attention. And if they don't like it, that's all right; we still do a good job. That's all you can do, really."
ANTHRAX's latest album, "For All Kings", sold 34,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 9 on The Billboard 200 chart. According to Billboard, ANTHRAX was last in the top 10 back in 1993 with "Sound Of White Noise", which debuted and peaked at No. 7. "For All Kings" also gave ANTHRAX its largest sales week for an album since "Sound Of White Noise"'s second week on sale (40,000; it debuted with 62,000).

ANNIHILATOR Launch Crowdfunding Campaign To Support Forthcoming DVDs And TouringCanadian metal legends Annihilator have issued the following update:
"Well, it’s been 15 studio CDs, more than 1000 shows around the world and we’re planning some awesome things for our fans. Despite the sad state of the music business, Annihilator have never given up and hope we’ve given you some good music and good times along the way!
Now, we urgently need your help to raise money for touring, shows, the live acoustic DVD, the mini documentary DVD and the live concert DVD we are planning. Although we have a very supportive label and touring agency, these ambitious plans cost a lot more money than any of us have. See the expense list below and we're sure you'll understand.
In return for your contributions, we’ve come up with some amazing things to offer you: From Jeff’s custom Chevy Camaro muscle car, to watching an Annihilator live-streamed rehearsal, hanging out at Jeff’s home and studio, getting some of his guitars, free concert tix for life, and more… See the gallery section for pics of the perks. We hope you love these killer packages as much as we loved making them!
Obviously, not everyone will be able to afford or will want the car package but hopefully it has pointed you to the Live Rehearsal Stream Package and the others.
Thanks for your time and hopefully your contributions!"

SEBASTIAN BACH Gets Into Twitter War Of Words With WILLIAM SHATNERSebastian Bach has engaged in a Twitter war with "Star Trek" legend William Shatner, at one point threatening to visit the 85-year-old actor at his home so that he can "say it to my face."
The war of words apparently started after Shatner sent the former SKID ROW singer an emoji of a purple devil face in response to a tweet that Bach liked that Shatner took offense to. From there, things quickly went downhill, with Bach calling Shatner a "dickhead" and reportedly posting the actor's Studio City address, promising him: "I will see you at your home."
"I will run past your fucking house every day until the day I die. Deal with me with your phaser cell phone bullshit," Bach wrote in a series of tweets, some of which have since been deleted. He also referred to Shatner as "emoji man" and added: "Maybe better for you to stick behind your computer screen."
"I will run over to your house on the 13th. Perfect day for it." Sebastian wrote.
Shatner seemed confused by Bach's reaction and eventually stopped responding directly to Sebastian's tweets.
"I don't know what to think of it but hopefully he's just having a bad day and tomorrow he'll be fine," William wrote of the singer.
According to Fansided, Bach at one point asked Shatner if he was the guy from "Star Trek", to which the actor, who played Captain Kirk on the classic 1960s sci-fi TV series, joked that he must be thinking of Mark Hamill ("Star Wars").
Bach interviewed Shatner at the 2011 installment of the Revolver Golden Gods Awards, where he told the actor he had looked up to him since he was a kid. Shatner was presented with the "Honorary Headbanger Award" at the event. 2

BRAD WHITFORD And DEREK ST. HOLMES: 'Hot For You' Song Available For Streaming"Hot For You", a brand new song from WHITFORD/ST. HOLMES, featuring the dynamic duo of AEROSMITH guitarist Brad Whitford and TED NUGENT vocalist/guitarist Derek St. Holmes, can be streamed using the SoundCloud widget below. The track is taken form WHITFORD/ST. HOLMES's new studio album, "Reunion", which will be released on June 3.
Joining Whitford and St. Holmes on the road will be bassist Chopper Anderson and keyboardist Buck Johnson, who both played on the "Reunion" album. Filling in on drums for all dates will be Brent Fitz (SLASH FEATURING MYLES KENNEDY AND THE CONSPIRATORS) replacing Troy Luccketta, who will be touring with TESLA at the same time.
"We are very excited to have Brent join us on this run," says Whitford. "Troy is so good, he is just not an easy guy to replace!" "We really needed a guy with the right feel," adds St. Holmes, "Brent brings that with him along with the power that kicks these songs out like they were meant to be. We can’t wait to get out there with him."
Asked how he feels about his new gig, Brent was quick to answer. "I was already excited for the new WHITFORD/ST. HOLMES 'Reunion' record. So, it goes without saying how thrilled I was to get a call from Derek and Brad asking me to step in on drums for the upcoming tour. Playing brand new music with these two legends, and in such a great new band, couldn't be more exciting! I consider them both architects of my own musical makeup, so, of course, I'm looking forward to playing a few of their own classics as well!"
WHITFORD/ST. HOLMES's tour with WHITESNAKE launches on June 3 in Dallas and continues on through Texas, Indianapolis, Ohio, Detroit, Boston and more with headlining dates peppered in between. This leg of the tour will conclude on July 2 with a headline show. The band will also play with LYNYRD SKYNYRD on July 31 at Festival Park in Elgin, Illinois.
It was 1981 when Whitford, who had left AEROSMITH, first teamed up with St. Holmes to release their self-titled debut. Tracks like "Sharpshooter" and "Whisky Woman" carried on the stadium rock and roll style that made them famous. The album received critical acclaim and they did a successful round of tour dates before returning to their respective bands and shelving the duo. Until now!
Recently, the two friends found themselves living in the same town on the outskirts of Nashville. While working on some catch up time, they decided to revamp their collaboration. After writing a number of songs, the duo recruited Anderson, Johnson and Luccketta to record the album. Produced by Whitford and St. Holmes, the album was recorded at The Castle Studios in Franklin, Tennessee.
Whitford and St. Holmes, who have collectively been part of tens of millions of record sales as part of AEROSMITH and TED NUGENT, know the true purpose of their art. "It's hard to believe we first jammed over thirty years ago," states Whitford. St. Holmes adds: "We are excited for this record to get out there, we want to share it with our friends, all those hardcore rock 'n' roll fans… Like our fans and good whiskey, we all seem to get better with age."

Video: Ex-KISS Guitarist BRUCE KULICK Performs National Anthem During LA KISS GameFormer KISS guitarist Bruce Kulick performed America's national anthem Saturday night (May 28) when Arena Football League team LA KISS played host to the Portland Steel at Honda Center in Anaheim, California. LA KISS co-owners and Kulick's former bandmates Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley were both in attendance at the event.
Video footage of Kulick's rendition can be seen below. Check out photos at California Rock News.
In 1984, Bruce joined KISS, where he remained as their lead guitarist for twelve years, accompanying the band on the "Animalize" tour and continuing with the band until the 1996 reunion tour. Bruce is heavily featured on "Kissology – Vol. 2" and "Vol. 3", the band's DVDs spanning their historic 40-year career.
Speaking about his time in KISS, Kulick told California Rock News: "KISS is one of those bands that the whole world knows, and usually, people that aren't really a fan will only think of makeup as KISS, because that's what, of course, made them famous and they've been back in that for so many years. But a real fan knows there's a whole wealth of material — over a decade of years that are non-makeup, which is… I kind of wave the flag for all of that."
He continued: "If you, for example, didn't know there was a makeup KISS, and there wouldn't have been a version for me to join if it wasn't for the makeup KISS, but the truth is… When I was in the band, we kept it going, we had hits, we had gold, platinum records, toured the world — arenas, the whole thing… But I find, even with them continuing, and they turn on new generations of fans. So they… For instance, they were in Japan not that long ago, and now they're going to South America, and now I'm seeing a lot of people following me on Twitter and Facebook [from] South America. In Japan, I picked up all these fans that started following me, 'cause [KISS recently] went to Japan. And they did something very smart in Japan, where they kind of were doing gigs with a very popular pop group of little Japanese women. And that was really interesting, even though it looks odd. But it exposed KISS, and what KISS represents, and everything about KISS' music and the vibe of KISS to a whole another generation."
Kulick added: "I noticed I'm getting all these tweets from fans over there… It's written in Japanese letters; I don't know what it is. I go, 'Why would a 15-year-old know about me?' But, again, it's because [KISS is] out there. KISS is one of those bands that you just keep sharing, the same way, I'm sure… Now AC/DC is coming out with a new record and everything, and they're gonna be touring, so there'll be new 15-year-olds that will [go], 'Oh my God! AC/DC. This is amazing.' And that's what's great about the kind of music that I grew up with."

CRASH MIDNIGHT’s Controversial “Roxy” Music Video Pulled From YouTubeAfter gaining over 20,000 plays in less than 72 hours, Crash Midnight’s controversial new video for the single, “Roxy” (produced by Steve Thompson -Guns N’ Roses, Rolling Stones, Prince, David Bowie, etcs) has been taken down from YouTube amidst a storm of debate regarding artistic censorship.
“Roxy” is the band’s first single off the upcoming worldwide re-release of their Lost In The City album, which is being remixed with new high-octane production by Bobby Ferrari at Vegas View Recording and is slated for a September release. In response to the take down, the label has created a censored version of the video that is now available below:
Dating back to the group’s formative years where they were routinely banned from Boston-area venues for their wild shows and outspoken views on certain local city officials, Crash Midnight has become notorious for putting their music first and not backing down from clashes with authority.
In light of this latest battle, the band has decided to make the controversial video available exclusively on their new Crash Midnight App (Available now on the App Store and Google Play) and encourage fans to post it and share it to support the power of artistic freedom.
"We've always been against censorship of the arts" says vocalist, Shaun Soho, "and we're not going to let sites like YouTube, that pays artists next to nothing for their content, dictate what our fans get to see. We need your help to spread the word and show that if they're going to censor us, artists will always find new and even more powerful ways to reach our fans."
To check out the uncensored “Roxy” music video, created by director Ron Sperling, head to this location. 1

Sweden’s CRUZH To Release Self-Titled Debut In August; EPK Video PostedThe self-titled debut album from Swedish AOR band, Cruzh, will be released on August 26th.
Cruzh was put together after the demise of Swedish glam rockers TrashQueen, in which both Anton Joensson and Dennis Butabi Borg played. They shared a love for melodic rock and AOR and joined forces with Tony Andersson, who previously worked as a studio musician on the never released TrashQueen record.
It all started in March 2013 when Cruzh was announced online. The only things shown to the public were an image of the silhouette of the three band members, the debut song "In A Blink Of An Eye”, information that the band was Swedish, and the text "Get ready for the Cruzh". The song quickly spread on the internet and both Swedish and international websites and radio stations played it and speculated about the identities of the band members. In May came the sequel "Stay", which continued in the same melodic rock spirit. Meanwhile, the band spread various clues on social media regarding their whereabouts. In the fall of 2013 Cruzh had reached a point where they chose to “unmask” and take it all to the next level and reach out to the masses together with the release of the Hard To Get EP, the first of two very successful self-produced demos. Hard To Get and its successor, the darker Aim For The Head got great reviews worldwide.
By late spring of 2015, just when Cruzh was about to release a new EP, they were approached by Frontiers Music Srl who wanted to sign the band, so Cruzh started the recording process by the end of summer 2015. The result is truly an awesome debut, in the spirit of Def Leppard, Danger Danger, H.E.A.T, Winger, Firehouse and Bryan Adams.
“We all share the love for Melodic Rock,” says bassist Dennis Butabi Borg, “but in the meantime we all have very different musical background and inspirations. This shows in our songs”. “When we started out, almost immediately I felt this synergy in the band,” adds Tony Andersson, “and despite our musical backgrounds and differences, we all head in the same direction.” “When a piece of music is coming to me and I am developing someone else’s work, I am filled with some sort of emotion that I want to convey,” concludes guitarist Anton Joensson, “it’s easy to do this in a natural way with Cruzh because I could not feel more at home with our band and the music we create. This is also true with Tony and Dennis. This is who we are!”

“First Cruzh”
“Aim For The Head”

HORISONT Sign Worldwide Deal With Century Media RecordsOn the eve of their 10 year anniversary, and after headlining a special show at the Göteborg Rockfest, Swedish hard rock band Horisont announce the next chapter within their illustrious career by putting pen to paper and confirming a worldwide deal with Century Media Records.
Formed in 2006, Horisont have spent the last decade establishing themselves within the Scandinavian retro-rock revival scene, along with peers such as Witchcraft, Graveyard, etc., thus creating a sound that takes the foundations of the movement while injecting hearty doses of boogie blues, infusing prog complexities and finishing it all off with that good ole NWOBHM swagger!
After releasing their fourth full length album entitled Odyssey in late 2015, Horisont completed a 6-week tour across Europe with Kadavar along with their new label mates The Shrine, which helped gain further attention from Century Media, and now before the ink has dried on their brand new deal, Horisont are bust writing the follow up to Odyssey and plan to enter the studio this summer with the plan to unleash another album guaranteed to get heads banging in 2017.
The band comments: "We are super excited to be signing with the mighty and highly acclaimed Century Media and look very much forward to be working together. Right now we are in the most creative era of this bands existence and this will spill right over into the new album we are currently working on. The first taster off the new stuff will hit the streets by the fall and we're pretty sure it will electrocute your soul. In the meantime - see you on the road!"
Jens Prueter, head Of A&R Century Media Europe, comments: "I first saw Horisont at the Rock Hard Festival in 2013 where they turned the amphitheater into a sea of head banging and beer raising. Seeing them again last year, I was impressed how they took their retro influences and progressed into a league of their own. These guys are as tight as their trousers. Looking forward to join their journey! Thanks to all of the guys and the equally amazing Peter from Crusher Records who discovered them first and is still the captain of the ship!"
Stay tuned for more news about the recording of the new album, further live appearances as well as the release of a brand new single before the sun sets on 2016.
Tour dates:
June
2 - Beta - Copenhagen, Denmark
3 - 1000 Fryd - Aalborg, Denmark
Horisont is:
Axel - Vocals
Charles - Guitar
Magnus - Bass

GUTTER INSTINCT Talk Influences, Early Beginnings, New Album; Video StreamingSwedish death metal outfit Gutter Instinct released their caustic, flesh-ripping debut full-length album, Age Of The Fanatics, to unsuspecting audiences worldwide on May 27th via Prosthetic Records. In the new video below, the band talk about their influences, early beginnings and their new album:
The album develops a further blackened edge to their already haunting death metal - as heard on their debut EP The Insurrection - by forging their way through the influential mire of death metal innovators including Teitanblood, Bölzer, Grave Miasma, Black Witchery and Portal whilst still reeking of their classic buzzsaw Swedish sound.
Age Of The Fanatics is a study in cynical nihilism that lashes out against organized religion, corporate greed and political corruption leading to a hopeless state of depression and alienation, while closing the circle with a desire for isolation and total death worship, welcoming the apocalypse. In perfect correlation with Gutter Instinct's depraved musical theme, renowned artist Dávid Glomba, aka Teitan Arts (Cult Of Fire, Svartidauði, Inferno) aligned his harrowing aesthetic creating the artistic concept for the entire layout utilizing several large-scale illustrations.
Age Of The Fanatics is available in a limited edition format with a total first pressing of 1,000 copies on CD and 300 copies on vinyl, including a four-page foldout featuring the detailed artwork. Order directly via the Prosthetic Records web shop at this location.

YÜTH FOREVER - Skeleton Youth Forever Streaming In FullIllinois-based downtempo/groove metallers, Yüth Forever, will release their sophomore effort, Skeleton Youth Forever, on June 3rd via Prosthetic Records. The album is streaming in full below.
Featuring 13 songs of groove-laden, dark electronic, angst-filled mood metal, Skeleton Youth Forever is a collection of jarring contrasts between sullen, somber honesty and energetic, emotional aggression. The album is an experience that embodies what it is to live and grow - introspective, intense and honest from start to finish, Skeleton Youth Forever is an album for the Youth, by the Yüth.
Skeleton Youth Forever will mark the bands sophomore effort, following 2015's debut Freudian Slip, and was produced by longtime friend, Sam Bottner (Barrier).
Vocalist Devin MacGillivary commented, "We chose him [Bottner] because he produced 10 Code and Extortion and he absolutely KILLED it on both of those. Also, because he's one of our best friends, and it only felt right (for nostalgic purposes) to go with someone we were so close with and who had already spent so much of his time helping us further our band.”
MacGillivary also gave insight on what listeners can expect from the new material, “I think this is a good combination of our previous releases sprinkled with a lot of new innovation in terms of what we did with the songs. There are a lot of weird or funky parts that I wrote because I was really into disco music at the time. To me, a lot of the record just makes me want to dance.”
Get a taste of Skeleton Youth Forever and take a listen to the stream of the albums debut single "People Pleaser" in the below lyric video.
