Colorado-based atmospheric black metal band, Wayfarer, have premiered a live video for the title track of their new album's title track, “Children Of The Iron Age”. The clip was filmed during their recent appearance at Fire On The Mountain, a secret, exclusive event that takes place annually in an undisclosed location atop the Grand Teton Mountains in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

Wayfarer – who have built a steady underground following after sharing stages with the likes of Municipal Waste, Cephalic Carnage, Nails, Ghoul, Arkona, Primitive Man and more – will soon return to Flatline Audio Studios (Cattle Decapitation, Cobalt) in Westminister, Colorado to record a new album with Dave Otero. The new release is expected to be released in the summer.

British AOR band Blood Red Saints will release their debut album, Speedway, on December 4th in Europe and North America. The album track, “Feels A Lot Like Love”, is streaming below.

Blood Red Saints is a new band formed in late 2014 by singer Pete Godfrey and bassist Rob Naylor. Pete made his recording debut on the October 2014 In Faith album, but hungry to be in a 'band' rather than a project, Pete formed Blood Red Saints with Rob from the band Angels Or Kings and quickly got to work writing their debut album.

“I went in to the In Faith knowing it was a project,” says Pete Godfrey. “We were offered shows but we couldn't find any common ground to move forward. That was the moment where I decided I wanted to be in a 'real band', one that goes out and plays live and has that 'us against the world' mentality. Without doubt, we are going to play live. We have a launch show December the 4th in Bolton, UK then we are playing the JSY/ARFM charity show in Derby at the end of January and also HRH AOR in March - working on more shows right now!”

Blood Red Saints lineup was completed by another former In Faith member, Pete Newdeck (also from Eden’s Curse and currently the vocalist for Tainted Nation) on drums and Lee Revill on guitar (ex-Gary Hughes). “Pete and I quickly became good friends,” says Pete. “It was a simple choice on my part to want him involved. Rob Naylor I knew from the 1990's, but we became friends last year, we just gelled as far as wanting the same things musically, again. Lee Revill was talked about by everyone on the local scene, his reputation was that of a phenomenal guitar player who hadn't made the jump from local bands. He is our secret weapon, unbelievably talented and not precious or egotistical at all, a genuine nice guy also!”

The search for a name ended with the chance discovery of a semi legendary Speedway team, “The Blood Red Saints”. BRS were formed in the late 1920s in Brooklyn, New York. Their leader and icon, 'Freddie Rendetti' became synonymous with the team. Freddie was a fiery colorful character who ultimately lived the fast life a little too fast.

No history of the Blood Red Saints can be complete without the inclusion of James Martin of Vega. James was instrumental in getting the band signed and – together with his twin brother Tom, he also co-wrote two songs on the album. Harry Hess from Harem Scarem took care of the mastering of the album.  

The band’s debut album is an impressive slice of classic British AOR, following in the traditions of early Dare, FM and Newman, though according to Pete, “if you were to take elements of Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Winger, FM, mix them all together, I think that is pretty much where we are. Our intention was to have great songs and next we want to take them out live and put on a great show!”

Vancouver, BC-based heavy metal / stoner rock band, Black Wizard, will release their new album, New Waste, on January 29th via Listenable Records.

Black Wizard formed in 2009 between four high school friends. Founding members Adam Grant and Eugene Parkomenko, still in the original lineup, were both working a shitty construction job at the time, cranking the likes of Thin Lizzy, Deep Purple, Witch, Electric Wizard as loud as possible to get through the day on site.

Black Wizard is now releasing their brand new record, New Waste, and will be touring the US and Europe again in the next six months.

North Carolina stoner rockers, ASG, have shared a new music video for their track "Mourning Of The Earth”, taken from the 2013 release, Blood Drive. Directed by Jason Lynn, the video is taken from one of ASG's recent live performances in their their hometown of Wilmington, NC earlier this year, and features the band tearing through the ripping, riff-laden stoner metal anthem.

French psyche rock mongers, Mars Red Sky, have become a genuine touring machine of doom, having flattened down almost every European club in support of their latest album, Stranded In Arcadia.

The band are now currently working on the final mixes for their forthcoming and third album, scheduled for a March release. Before that, the band will bless their fans with a limited edition 10” EP, entitled Providence, at the end of January. More news about that limited gem shortly.

The Temperance Movement have revealed their soulful cover of the classic Blur song, “Tender”. The video was recorded at the iconic Abbey Road Studios and perfectly captures the open-minded spirit of the band that was inspired by the musical history steeped in the venue that surrounded them.

Guitarist Paul Sayer comments, "The main reason for particularly wanting to cover Blur was that they're a band that was really of our childhood. As great as it is when you're growing up to discover all the amazing, timeless bands in your parents record collection, there's nothing like hearing fresh, new music when you're 14 and knowing that you're a part of the generation that's hearing it for the first time. That's what Blur was for us. “Tender” was the perfect Blur song for us to cover because although they're as indie as it gets that song has a huge amount of soul in it, which is something we feel we have in our music as well."

Damon Wilson adds, "Britpop was possibly England's last great music revolution. We wanted to celebrate those heady days when guitar music ruled the waves and people were excited around the world by British music. With a nod to The Beatles we decided Abbey Road Studios would be the perfect destination. Tender is something of a rarity for Damon Albarn and Blur with its echoes of American gospel. It resonated with our love of soul and roots music."

With a mantra for recording songs in three takes or less, their version of “Tender” exemplifies the quality of musicianship that sets The Temperance Movement in a class above many bands, and why their eagerly anticipated new album White Bear was tracked in only a few weeks.

Due to be released on January 15th, 2016, the follow-up to their 2013 self-titled debut was recorded with producer Sam Miller in London, Northamptonshire and Monmouth and features 10 stomping new blues-rock anthems. The band will support White Bear with a UK tour which kicks off the day after the album's release.

The Temperance Movement guitarist, Paul Sayer confides, "White Bear is a real step on for us sonically and artistically. Playing so many shows together over the last 3 years allowed us to develop a really clear idea of where we wanted to go with our next record. When it came to making this album we had a bit more time and space to let our creativity go, and I'm incredibly proud of what we achieved."

Whilst on the album title, White Bear, singer Phil Campbell notes, "Nick called me with the title which inspired the lyric to the song. It refers to a study by Daniel Wenger on mindfulness and the controlling of unwanted thoughts, testing a quote from Dostoevsky's 'Winter Notes on Summer Impressions': 'Try to pose for yourself this task: not to think of a polar bear, and you will see that the cursed thing will come to mind every minute.”

Art Gates Records announce Silent Images as the new artist to join their family of artists. This extreme progressive metal act was formed in 2011 in Malmo, southern Sweden, encompassing members from Argentina, Bolivia and Singapore. The members' distinctively broad experiences in rock, metal, jazz and latin proved invaluable in adding a unique taste to the band's sound.

New York City-based hard rock act, Tournament, has officially signed to The End Records to release their next studio album, set for release in spring 2016.

Tournament is a band comprised of four unsatisfied and hard to please jerks - a once-New York-centric band that has developed itself into a cult sensation. Since 2008, they have released three well-­received recordings and toured the US in the jankiest vans, playing any bar, basement, or DIY venue they could find. At-home beer drinkers, hell raisers, feebs, and felons are sure to attend a Tournament show. Wherever they are, the band remains eager to please themselves and the aging youth of America with their unapologetic approach to rock n’ roll.

In the years since their last release, the band holed up in their home studio and bolted the door shut. With electrodes affixed to guitars, vacuum tube amps burning up the subterranean atmosphere, the magnetic tape shedding itself all over piles of scrapped songs and meandering experiments, the band emerges, sounding leaner and meaner yet at the same time more fun than ever before.

Recorded in their own studio and co­-engineered by drummer Jordan Lovelace and Kyle Keayes­Hagerman (Destruction Unit, The Men), the resulting sound is that of a band of brothers backed into a corner, and with supernatural strength (or maybe a case of beer muscles), these four are battling through the crowd with bass throbbing, serpentine guitars slithering, and Motörhead­meets­motorik rhythms pounding. With little air left to breathe and no more beer to drink, the door buckled and burst open, and through the splintery haze of debris, a slab of wax flew forth onto the turntable.

EAGLES OF DEATH METAL drummer Julian Dorio has commented on the events of November 13 in Paris, France, when more than 129 people were killed in seven coordinated terrorist attacks.

The greatest number of deaths took place at the Bataclan, a French music venue where EAGLES OF DEATH METAL were performing when terrorists began a siege that ended with 89 people in the club either shot to death or killed in explosions.

In a post on his Instagram account, Dorio wrote: "November 13, 2015. I, along with my bandmates @eodmofficial, had the privilege to play to one of the most energetic crowds of our tour when, nearly half way through the show, the unimaginable occurred. Absolute and unnecessary evil turned our world on its head.

"I am beyond grateful that I was able to find a way out of the venue, but I am mourning those who did not, including our mate, Nick Alexander. My thoughts are with their families. I'm home safe. And now I have a new family abroad.

"To Arthur, who ran for his life right beside me and selflessly put us in a taxi before himself, thank you. To Fabrice, a fan who lent me his phone later that night so I could call @emilydorio and attempt to put her at ease, thank you. To everyone who, in the face of unrelenting evil, went toe to toe using courage, compassion, and love as their weapons. You all are my heroes. Last but certainly not least, the outreach and support back home is appreciated more than you'll ever know. I will never forget it.

The attacks in Paris led to a military response by France against the radical Islamic organization ISIS, as French jets bombed a series of targets in Syria.

The attacks have stepped up worldwide concern over ISIS, as well as a debate in the U.S. over whether to accept Syrian refugees.

EAGLES OF DEATH METAL was founded in 1998 by QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE mainman Josh Homme and his longtime friend Jesse Hughes. Homme appears on all the band's albums but only plays live with them occasionally. He was not in Paris at the time of the attacks.

EAGLES OF DEATH METAL's most recent album, "Zipper Down", was released in October and entered at No. 59 on the Billboard 200 album chart. The first single is called "Complexity".

PAPA ROACH has dropped off the remaining European tour dates with FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH due to "logistical challenges and uncertainties" in the wake of the November 13 terrorist attacks in Paris and continued terrorist threats against France and Europe.

Says PAPA ROACH in a statement: "It is again with a heavy heart that we are announcing the postponement of the remainder of our European tour.

"We pride ourselves for rarely canceling shows, but our crew is an essential part of our organization and because they, unfortunately, could not continue the tour due to their logistical challenges and uncertainties, we could not either. We respect them and have had to accept their difficult choice to return home. We shall return next year. We will announce more details on rescheduling as soon as we are able to. "

Adds FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH in a separate statement: "Despite some significant challenges in Europe since the horrible events in Paris recently, we have continued on our tour and remained dedicated to our mission of providing you, the fans, the highest quality show in the safest possible show environment. As a result of new and increased travel/transportation restrictions and challenges, in some cities we are scheduled to play, we are unable to fulfill this promise, so we were forced to postpone those shows. We continue to face additional challenges but remain committed to finishing out the tour as best as we can.

"We are not a band that is used to postponing or canceling shows. In fact, we have always prided ourselves on showing up onstage no matter what, so these extenuating circumstances have been particularly challenging for us, as artists, given the high standard we place on ourselves to deliver for the fans.

"FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH will finish out the remaining European tour dates without PAPA ROACH and DEVIL YOU KNOW in Düsseldorf, Germany and at Wembley Arena in the U.K. The lineup for Düsseldorf will include FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, ESKIMO CALLBOY, SKINDRED and NOTHING MORE. For Wembley it will be FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, SKINDRED, AS LIONS and THE ONE HUNDRED. The show in Brussels will be postponed, but we will be back soon to play for our Belgian fans.

"We appreciate everyone's support as we continue to navigate these largely uncharted waters. Nothing gives us greater satisfaction than delivering the best show possible in the safest conditions."

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH canceled a show in Milan, Italy on Sunday (November 22) amidst rumors that the Islamic State (ISIS) was planning to attack the show as part of a series of multiple attacks spread across several countries.

The hacktivist group Anonymous claimed to have uncovered plots by ISIS for several terrorist attacks to occur on Sunday, including at a pro wrestling event in Atlanta and other locations in Paris, Rome, Lebanon and Indonesia, in addition to the concert in Milan.

The rumors of the attacks came a week after a deadly terrorist attack at seven locations in Paris, including an EAGLES OF DEATH METAL concert where 89 people were killed.

The hacktivists said the information about the fresh attacks was received from "several pro-(ISIS) accounts."

A number of artists halted their European treks in the wake of the Paris attacks, including FOO FIGHTERS, DEFTONES and others.

WHITESNAKE has released a video for "The Gypsy", a song from the band's twelfth studio album, "The Purple Album", released in May via Frontiers Music Srl. The clip contains footage from WHITESNAKE's "The Purple Tour", which kicked off in the U.S. several days after the CD's release.

"The Purple Album" is billed as "a re-imagination of classic songs from David Coverdale's time as the lead singer for DEEP PURPLE's Mark III and Mark IV studio albums." PURPLE classics revamped for the new set include "Stormbringer", "Lady Double Dealer", "Soldier Of Fortune" and "Sail Away". Coverdale was DEEP PURPLE's frontman from late 1973 to early 1976 and sang on the albums "Burn", "Stormbringer" and "Come Taste The Band". Coverdale explained that shortly before DEEP PURPLE co-founder Jon Lord's 2012 death, he was eyeing a DEEP PURPLE gig featuring all the band members throughout the lineups. The Pulse Of Radio asked Coverdale what if any relationship he has with the frontman he replaced — the great Ian Gillan. "Ian was one of the nicest blokes I met," he said. "I'd flown over to [England to] do a charity show for Roger Glover at the [Royal] Albert Hall — a thing called 'Butterfly Ball' [in 1975] — and Ian was there and we ended up carousing for, like, four days and nights. I ended up sleeping from the moment the plane took off from Heathrow back to Los Angeles. Woke up as we landed. The perfect journey! [Laughs] But, yeah, I have absolutely no problem sharing a microphone with Ian. None. Y'know? To me, it would be the ultimate expression of gratitude to breathtaking loyalty from PURPLE fans. It's amazing. It truly is."

WHITESNAKE's new touring lineup — David Coverdale (vocals), Joel Hoekstra (guitar), Reb Beach (guitar), Michael Devin (bass), Tommy Aldridge (drums) and Michele Luppi (keyboards) — made its live debut on May 28 at Northern Quest Casino in Airway Heights, Washington.

FEAR FACTORY was involved in a bus crash early Wednesday morning (November 25) while en route to the band's next concert in Munich, Germany during their European headling tour. FEAR FACTORY guitarist Dino Cazares said: "Everyone is okay, just a little shaken up. It doesn't help when it's 4:30 a.m. and snowing outside!"

FEAR FACTORY's current European trek sees the band playing the "Demanufacture" album in its entirety. They are also showcasing songs from their new CD, "Genexus", which came out on August 7 via Nuclear Blast.

HINDER and THE GHOST INSIDE were both involved in separate tour bus crashes last week. All bandmembers survived, but THE GHOST INSIDE's driver was killed when their vehicle collided with a car in El Paso, Texas. Meanwhile, HINDER bassist Mike Rodden and a crewman suffered broken ribs in Cookeville, Tennessee, and their driver has since undergone emergency surgery.

In a 2012 interview with Lithium Magazine, FEAR FACTORY singer Burton C. Bell stated about the hardships of touring: "Some people are just not cut out for that kind of lifestyle, and some are. It really comes down to the individual and the real drive that they have to pursue their dream of music. If you're going to pursue music, you've got to go all the way, you can't do it half-assed. You have to give it your all, and touring is a big part of that — live shows in front of people all over the world. That's what we do and if it's not in you, you're not going to last."

In a brand new interview with Noisey, Glenn Danzig was asked what it is that keeps him coming back to the creative well. He responded: "It's so many different things. There's always stuff to write about, but I think that the whole punk thing helped a lot. If it gets boring, change it, fix it, make it exciting, make it relevant again, and that's what I did without sacrificing the music. That's what I try to do. I try to do stuff where first thing is I'm excited about the record, and then I hope that the people who listen to my music are gonna dig it too. That's pretty much how I go into doing a record, and I don't do a new record until I have stuff to write about it. I don't force myself to do a record. Someone doesn't come to me and say, 'Hey, it's been a year or two since your last record. You've gotta write a record and put one out in a couple of months.' No one comes to me and says that to me. The covers record ['Skeletons'] I've been working on for a while, but the last new DANZIG material came out in 2010. The new record is about three-quarters done, and by the time that comes out it'll have been probably about six years since the last time you heard any new original DANZIG material. Not a covers record or not this 'Danzig Sings Elvis' record, so it'll be six years."

Asked if that attitude of not forcing the creative process is something that's always been there for him, Danzig said: "Yeah. I mean, I used to do it on a more frequent basis. [Laughs] But I think even back in the MISFITS and SAMHAIN days, I put out a record every two years, I think. The same thing with DANZIG, too, where I put out a record every two years. Later on it became further and further apart, but that's just the way it worked out. I think in between 'Danzig IV' and 'V' was probably a two-year period, and then between 'V' and 'VI' was probably a three-year period. It seems to be now it's gone to four or five. I think one of the things also was for 'Deth Red' we toured a lot over those years. Not two or three months at a time, but we just kept getting offers to go to Europe and then back to America. The record did pretty well for me, especially the way it was received, so hopefully the next one will be the same."

Glenn will release his long-awaited covers record, "Skeletons", on November 27 in North America via Nuclear Blast Entertainment/Evilive Music. A labor of love that dates back to 1979, "Skeletons" sees Danzig pulling back the curtain behind his influences with a collection of ten covers spanning artists as diverse as Elvis Presley, ZZ TOP, and AEROSMITH to BLACK SABBATH, THE TROGGS, THE EVERLY BROTHERS, and more.

Former "Baywatch" star Pamela Anderson has revealed to "Entertainment Tonight" that her ex-husband, MÖTLEY CRÜE drummer Tommy Lee, has been "cured" of Hepatitis C thanks to an anti-viral drug.

Anderson and Lee were both diagnosed with the virus at the same time; Anderson claimed that she contracted it after sharing a tattoo needle with Tommy in 2002. The MÖTLEY CRÜE drummer, whom she married in 1995, denied her allegations.

According to Anderson, it was Lee who encouraged her to seek out the three-month treatment.

"You know, Tommy did it first, so he got cured first," Anderson explained. "He had a different kind of treatment because he did it a year earlier than me. And he was always pushing me, 'You got to do this.'"

She continued: "Twenty years ago, when they told me I had Hep. C, they told me I'd only live ten years. About ten years in, they said that you could live your whole life with this disease and you may not die from it. You could more likely die from something else, but you could get liver cancer. You could get all these horrible other things."

"Now I'm going to go crazy," she joked. "I'm going to do every single thing I can. Every minute counts, so…."

Hepatitis C is a viral infection that affects the liver and can, if left untreated, cause cirrhosis, cancer, liver failure and death.

In mid-December, Polish extreme metallers BEHEMOTH will release "Live At The BBC/ Maida Vale Studios", recorded for the BBC Radio 1 "Rock Show" with Daniel P. Carter on December 8, 2014 and first broadcast on December 12, 2014.

According to The Pulse Of Radio, Jimmy Page says he plans to start his first solo album in 27 years in 2016. Page, who curated the revamped LED ZEPPELIN catalogue over the last several years, was on hand at London's Classic Rock magazine's Roll Of Honour awards, and shed some light on the still-untitled project, telling Bang Showbiz: "Next year I'm just going to working on the guitar. It's time for me to go out there and do a solo album. My last solo album was 1988. I haven't really milked the situation; it's time to do another one. I'm known for playing many styles of guitar, and I need to re-visit all the different styles I can play."

Page went on to say: "I'm not thinking about singers, I'm thinking of an instrumental thing. I want to work with my strengths rather than my weaknesses. I want to work with myself, I want to get myself up and running and once I'm ready, I'll think about whether I need someone to sing on the music… I want to be playing live again, but that won't be until next year, I've planned all this a while ago. I want to start in the U.K. I've got ideas, but I want to wait to see what happens. I'd like to do Glastonbury. I could do a sort of karaoke night with LED ZEPPELIN songs."

There's been no release date announced for the upcoming Page album, which will be his first true solo set since "Outrider". That album came out on June 19, 1988 and peaked at No. 26 on The Billboard 200 album chart.

"Outrider" featured Robert Plant co-writing and contributing vocals on the track "The Only One", and Jason Bonham drumming on both the majority of the album and Page's subsequent tour.

Members of SOUNDGARDEN, ALICE IN CHAINS and NIRVANA paid musical tribute to Page last Thursday night, November 19, during a benefit at Seattle's Experience Music Project. Backed by a house band that included ex-GUNS N' ROSES bassist Duff McKagan and MAD SEASON drummer Barrett Martin, the lineup on hand included ALICE IN CHAINS guitarists/singers Jerry Cantrell and William DuVall, SOUNDGARDEN guitarist Kim Thayil, NIRVANA bassist Krist Novoselic, BLACK CROWES guitarist Rich Robinson, CHEAP TRICK guitarist Rick Nielsen and BAD COMPANY frontman Paul Rodgers.

SLIPKNOT and STONE SOUR singer Corey Taylor joined the Japanese alternative metal band SILENCE IZ MINE (a.k.a SIM) on stage on Saturday, November 21 at the Ozzfest Japan at Makuhari Messe Arena (just outside of Tokyo) to perform a cover version of RADIOHEAD's "Creep". Fan-filmed video footage of his appearance can be seen below.

After the performance, SILENCE IZ MINE singer Mah stated in an online posting that the collaboration with Taylor "was the happiest moment of my life."

In a 2012 interview, Taylor said about his appreciation for other styles of music: "I had a kid ask me the other night, 'What kind of music is your guilty pleasure?' I said I don’t have any. I don't feel guilty about the music I love. If you feel guilty about something you dig, then you should stop feeling guilty about it. One of my favorite albums to this day is the tenth anniversary ensemble cast of 'Les Miserables', the ultimate cast recording, and it is still something I love listening to top to bottom."

Taylor published his third book, "You're Making Me Hate You: A Cantankerous Look At The Common Misconception That Humans Have Any Common Sense Left", on July 7.

The book acts as a commentary on society and pop culture said to be in the style of the late George Carlin.

Taylor's second book, "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Heaven", was published in the summer of 2013 and landed at No. 23 on the New York Times "Hardcover Non-Fiction" best sellers list.

ALICE IN CHAINS guitarist Jerry Cantrell joined THE CULT on stage on November 20 at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles to perform the song "The Phoenix". Fan-filmed video footage of his appearance can be seen below.

THE CULT's new album, "Hidden City", will be released on February 5, 2016 via Cooking Vinyl. The follow-up to 2012's "Choice Of Weapon" was written by singer Ian Astbury and guitarist Billy Duffy and was produced by Bob Rock, who has previously worked with METALLICA and MÖTLEY CRÜE.

The final installment in a trilogy of recordings, completing 2007's "Born Into This" ("The Fall") and 2012's "Choice Of Weapon" ("Dark Night of the Soul"), "Hidden City" is a tightly woven series of experience and visions with underlying themes of redemption and rebirth threaded through THE CULT's visceral music. Astbury's signature baritone and blood-soaked lyrics paired with Duffy's smouldering, textured guitar tones, create a musical environment that is fearless and peerless.

From the sonic assault of the opening track "Dark Energy", "Hidden City" launches quickly into the dark underbelly of its subject matter. Stemming from the Spanish phrase "La Ciudad Oculta" or "hidden city," the album reflects an awakening of consciousness through its tone and complexity.

"Hidden City is a metaphor for our spiritual lives, our intimate interior lives," explains Astbury. "I find today's gurus are trying to peddle some cure, product or insight as if it's a new phenomenon. My place is to respond, not react, to observe, participate and share through words and music. There is no higher authority than the heart."

THE CULT played its first show with new bass player Grant Fitzpatrick on October 28 at Stubb's Bar-B-Q in Austin, Texas.

During their November 21 concert in Paris, France, Los Angeles industrial metallers FEAR FACTORY asked for a moment of silence honoring the victims of the November 13 terror attacks in the city. A 13-minute video recap of the show can be seen below.

89 people were killed at the EAGLES OF DEATH METAL show at Paris venue Bataclan, where when gunmen fired inside the venue and took concertgoers hostage. All of the bandmembers were confirmed safe after the attacks, but members of their crew were not so lucky. Merchandising manager Nick Alexander lost his life, as did Bataclan stage and lighting manager Nathalie Jardin.

On November 14, the French Government declared a state of emergency, closing the nation's borders and shutting down Paris' concert halls, movie theatres, museums and public spaces until further notice.

FEAR FACTORY's current European trek sees the band playing the "Demanufacture" album in its entirety. They are also showcasing songs from their new CD, "Genexus", which came out on August 7 via Nuclear Blast.

JOURNEY and THE DOOBIE BROTHERS will launch the San Francisco Fest 2016 tour on Thursday, May 12, again bringing together two of the iconic groups that helped define the San Francisco sound. The tour launches at the Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre in Irvine, California — with concerts scheduled through August 30, and includes special guest Dave Mason. Neal Schon (founding member and lead guitarist), original member Ross Valory (bass), and longtime members Jonathan Cain (keyboardist) and Arnel Pineda (lead singer), are welcoming virtuoso drummer Steve Smith back into JOURNEY, marking the first time he will perform with the band since 1998. Schon and Smith have always remained close friends and musical collaborators. Smith has lent his incredible talent to several of Schon's solo albums, including critically acclaimed "The Calling", and, most recently, "Vortex".

Schon was thrilled when Smith accepted his invitation to rejoin JOURNEY, exclaiming: "I'm so looking forward to the very exciting 2016 we have planned, starting with my 'Neal Vortex Schon' Japan tour in February and then our major summer tour with THE DOOBIE BROTHERS and Dave Mason. "Letters From The Labyrinth", the new album from TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA, the collaboration between longtime SAVATAGE singer/songwriter Jon Oliva and producer Paul O'Neill, entered The Billboard 200 chart at position No. 7 with first-week sales of just over 45,000 units.

EDGUY frontman Tobias Sammet's AVANTASIA project will release a new digital single, "Mystery Of A Blood Red Rose", on December 11. The song is taken from AVANTASIA's seventh studio album, "Ghostlights", which will be released on January 29, 2016 via Nuclear Blast. The twelve-song CD was produced by Tobias and Sascha Paeth at Gatestudio in Wolfsburg, Germany. Paeth engineered and mixed "Ghostlights", while the mastering was done by Michael Rodenberg.

Comments Tobias: "'Mystery Of A Blood Red Rose' is a song I originally wrote with Meat Loaf in the back of my mind — but for some reason the collaboration didn't happen, so I did the song myself. The choirs alone took more than 40 hours to arrange and record — for a four-minute song! That pretty much says it all. Anything worth doing is worth overdoing and 'more is more'!"

AVANTASIA's last album, "The Mystery Of Time", was released in March 2013.

AVANTASIA made its North American debut on July 7, 2013 at the Quebec City Summer Festival (Festival D'été De Québec) in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada.

Next month, the bringers of stoner / doom metal in Yidhra will undrape a brand new EP via Black Voodoo Records. Titled Cult Of Bathory, the follow-up to 2013's Hexed full-length was captured live with master engineer and producer Bill Metoyer (Slayer, Corrosion Of Conformity, Trouble) at Skull Seven Productions and boasts four murky, lead-footed anthems centered on the occult, witchcraft, inhumanity, life, death and imminent destruction.   

As a precursor to its release, the band offers up the record's title track for public intoxication.

"Cult Of Bathory, at its root, is about the inhumanity of humanity. I've always found it fascinating how the words, which are typically considered opposites, felt so synonymous," issues Yidhra vocalist and rhythm guitarist Ted Venemann of the lumbering track. "The most vile and inhumane acts are always perpetrated by humans. In nature, most seemingly atrocious acts can be explained by the base instinct to survive. That is definitely not the case with mankind. With our industrial capabilities and 'advances' in science and technology, we've grown quite efficient at destroying and profiting off of nature. Not even the most docile and innocent are immune to our perverse behaviors. The legend says the Countess Bathory bathed in the blood of virgins to maintain her youth. Millions of people are inadvertently doing the exact same thing every day. The truth is, no matter how hard we try to be 'cruelty free,' we're not. At some point along the way there's a product that you use, or there's a component used in the manufacturing of that product that is covered in the blood of innocence. In that instance we are all guilty. We are all members in the Cult Of Bathory."

Black Voodoo Records will release Yidhra's Cult Of Bathory on December 11th, on 10-inch vinyl in three limited edition color variants: 100 blood red splattered, 100 purple sold exclusively through Black Voodoo Records, and 100 standard black. Cult Of Bathory will be available on CD and digitally in early 2016.
