SUIDAKRA: 'March Of Conquest' Video Released"March Of Conquest", the new video from German melodic folk/death metallers SUIDAKRA, can be seen below. The track comes off the band's new album, "Eternal Defiance", which will be released on May 24 via AFM Records. The CD's cover artwork was created by Kris Verwimp and can be seen below.
"Eternal Defiance" track listing:
01. Storming The Walls
02. Inner Sanctum
03. Beneath The Red Eagle
04. March Of Conquest
05. Pair Dadeni
06. The Mindsong
07. Rage For Revenge
08. Dragon’s Head
09. Defiant Dreams
10. Damnatio Memoriae
11. Mrs Mcgrath (bonus track)
Commented SUIDAKRA singer Arkadius Antonik: "As on the previous two releases, it will be a concept album again, created by [famous Belgian graphic artist] Kris Verwimp in cooperation with us. Our new concept includes a lot of new elements and suprises which will be reflected in the music as well."
In a 2012 interview with Metal Kaoz, Antonik stated about SUIDAKRA's new material: "The songs … are bombastic and we also finished the first song with Tina's [Stabel] female vocals. This time, it's gonna be a faster song with a real epic and catchy chorus."
Bassist Marcus Riewaldt last year announced his departure from SUIDAKRA. He said in a statement, "After more than 250 shows and 10 years being in the band, I feel that now time has come to change my priorities a bit and see what else life has to offer for me. No hard feelings involved; it's just that I cannot motivate myself for another writing-rehearsing-recording-promoting-touring cycle and that I'm really annoyed by some of the music business mechanisms that one has to deal with in order to continue this beautiful and exciting, but at the same time very time- and energy-consuming hobby. I wish SUIDAKRA much luck and success for the future — it would all be well deserved!"
SUIDAKRA has already secured a replacement bassist in Tim Siebrecht, who was a stand-in guitar player for SUIDAKRA on several occasions in recent years.
SUIDAKRA's tenth album, "Book Of Dowth", was released on March 25, 2011 via AFM Records.

The CD was recorded at Hobby Shop Studios in Los Angeles, California with producer Chris "Zeuss" Harris (SHADOWS FALL, HATEBREED, AGNOSTIC FRONT). TODD LA TORRE-Fronted Version Of QUEENSRŸCHE: New Album Details RevealedThe Todd La Torre-fronted version of QUEENSRŸCHE will release its new album, simply titled "Queensrÿche", on June 25 via Century Media Records. The cover artwork was created by Craig Howell, who has previously worked on designs for "Star Wars", SLIPKNOT and "American Idol", to name a few.
"Queensrÿche" marks the debut release from the lineup comprised of La Torre (vocals; ex-CRIMSON GLORY), Michael Wilton (guitar), Parker Lundgren (guitar), Eddie Jackson (bass) and Scott Rockenfield (drums). The drums for the album were recorded at London Bridge Studios in Seattle, Washington with producer James "Jimbo" Barton — the man who engineered and mixed the band's classic 1988 LP, "Operation: Mindcrime", and its 1990 follow-up, "Empire", and co-produced 1994's "Promised Land". The rest of the music and vocals were laid down at several different facilities on the West Coast.
Fans were treated to a taste of the new album when the band released "Redemption" and it has been garnering praise ever since. The song has been listened to over 150,000 times on YouTube since it was unveiled last month.
"This gets said often by a lot of bands, but we believe we have recorded some of our finest music in years," says drummer Scott Rockenfield.
"The collaborative effort of everyone on this album is something we are extremely proud of.
"Working with Jimbo and the addition of Todd has revitalized the band in ways we never knew until we heard the final results.
"We know you have to wait a little longer but are excited for all of our fans to hear it. QUEENSRŸCHE wouldn't be in this position if not for your unwavering support."
"Queensrÿche" track listing:
01. X2 Lullaby
02. Where Dreams Go To Die
03. Spore
04. In This Light
05. Redemption
06. Vindication
07. Midnight
08. A World Without
09. Don't Look Back
10. Fallout
11. Open Road
Asked which album in QUEENSRŸCHE's catalog would most closely compare to what the band is doing now, Scott told "Noize In The Attic": "Our big goal was, once we kind of made our transition last year and moved on as a band, and Todd being in the band, and our focus of the live shows and everything, it's always kind of been about looking at what really made QUEENSRŸCHE special. And for the live show, it's the old stuff. And we've been focusing a lot, in the show, doing that, for the last year, and we're continue to focus on doing that. On the record, I think the vein of what the record is a combination of all that great old stuff that we're kind of known best for. I mean, for me, I kind of summarize it by saying, to me, it's everything from the [debut] EP up to 'Empire', or maybe even 'Promised Land' at that point, which is, to me, the most defining catalog that we've ever done. And I think for this record, it's visiting that and taking that into the future."
Added guitarist Michael Wilton: "I also think that when you hear this record, each song is gonna be unique in its own. For people that have heard the single that's on YouTube called 'Redemption'. Everybody's asking, 'Is the album gonna sound just like that?' And I can say, 'No.' What's great about this record is that every individual here was in the creative process and the writing — there was no outside writers, like [there were] on the last few albums. And it really shows, and it's a real great blend of everybody's strength and their creative elements, and the songs are definitely reflective of the personalities of this band right now."
Continued Scott: "I think that's important. Especially what Michael was saying. I think the focus of that earlier stuff, there was a massive chemistry between all of us that really worked, and we wanted to find that chemistry again, 'cause we've, unfortunately, had to struggle with that the last few years. But we always knew that that's what we wanted to do, so now that we're able to do that, finding that chemistry and that energy that got us to make those records is what that energy now is in this record. And Michael's right: the songs, there's a great variety of things in it, but they're all QUEENSRŸCHE, they're all us doing it, it's our chemistry of working together."
Said Michael: "If you listen to all the other albums, like from 'Promised Land' back to the EP, you're gonna hear all these dynamics, from song after another song — you're gonna hear those dynamics, and that's the same sort of approach we wanted to take on this new one."

THE SWORD: 'Cloak Of Feathers' Video Released"Cloak Of Feathers", the new video from Austin, Texas metal luminaries THE SWORD, can be seen below. The clip was directed by Rich Ragsdale.
"Cloak Of Feathers" comes off THE SWORD's fourth album, "Apocryphon", which sold nearly 17,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 17 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD was produced and engineered by J. Robbins (CLUTCH, JAWBOX) at Magpie Cage Studios and features cover art by famed comic book artist J.H. Williams III (Batwoman, Promethea).
Asked about the band's decision to work with J. Robbins on "Apocryphon" after self-producing two records and then working with Matt Bayles, THE SWORD guitarist Kyle Shutt told AltPress.com, "We're all huge CLUTCH fans, and we know those guys real well. [James] did two of their last three records, and those sound great, so we figured it was a no-brainer. We called him up and he was into it. He saw our live show at a club in Baltimore on the tour before we came here so he could get a feel of the kind of show we put on because we wanted to make an album that sounds like we do live in a club. And it was great. It was a real speedy process."
On the topic of the musical direction of the new album, Shutt said, "It is a reflection of everything that we [have gone] through and the lessons we learned. We then deal with these situations metaphorically in our lyrics. This record is just 10 banging hard rockers. There's no real 'stick-out' thrash song, or, like, this one is the ballad. I don't think there's going to be any instrumental songs on this record, either, so that'll be a first for us. It's just 10 kick-ass rock songs."
Regarding the subject matter covered in the new songs' lyrics, Shutt said, "There are lyrical themes that weave in and out of the songs, but there's no story or anything like that. With 'Warp Riders', J.D. [guitarist/vocalist John Cronise] had already written [the story] and now he [doesn't] have the time to sit down and write another book. We had the idea to make a comic book for 'Warp Riders', but we had some really poor management at the time, so nothing really came together with that and it was going to cost so much money that it never saw the light of day. It was just a nice thing we did. Now we're moving on to other things."

The drums and most of the bass guitar parts were recorded in Gorbals Sound in Glasgow. The guitars, additional bass parts and keyboards were recorded at The Farm, owned by Chic McSherry, while the vocals were recorded at Kinman Studio in London. Mixing was done again by Rolf Munkes at Empire Studios in Germany.
"The Dark And The Light" track listing:
01. Little Black Book Of Songs
02. Don't Drink With The Devil
03. Old Habits Die Hard
04. Burlesque
05. The Good Old Days
06. De La Luz
07. Devil In Disguise
08. Lonely Are The Brave
09. Shadow Of Romance
10. Sweet Little Mistreated
11. Men Of War
12. The Fallen
The song "Don't Drink With The Devil" is now available for streaming in the YouTube clip below.
The front-cover illustration was done by Polish graphic designer Oliwia Piotrowska-Wieczorek and can be seen below.
Commented guitarist Chic McSherry: "After 'Granite' was finished and released, I went on holiday in Mexico, near La Paz, actually. I was out on the Pacific Ocean for a few days and the constant thrum of the boat engine was just morphing into all sorts of noises and beats in my head. The beer probably contributed to that as well… When I got back from the trip, the earworms just wouldn't go away, so I eventually called Doogie and said, 'I got some ideas, man. I think I will make up a couple of demos.' To my surprise, he immediately said, 'Yeah. Why not? Send them down when you're ready and I'll take a listen.' I started to record the basic framework ideas and emailed them to Doogie as I finished them, and he kept coming back and saying, 'Yep. That's good, what else you got?' Over three weeks, I wrote 11 pieces of music, 10 of which have made it onto 'The Dark And The Light'. After Doogie and I had agreed which ones we would work on further, the demos then went to the other flying LA PAZ brothers and they immediately started adding their unique and distinctive styles and ideas to them to bring the final work together.
"This is the real heart of the thing for me. I have no ambition to be judged amongst the virtuoso guitar players out there, many of whom Doogie has worked with and is still working with on other projects. I have no illusions about where I stand next to those guys, many of whom are my heroes! I have just been lucky enough to write a lot of songs with Doogie, songs that we both really enjoy and are proud of, and then we get to play them with the great musicians in LA PAZ. I guess that if you believe that music is an art form, you could think of me as the guy who makes the canvas upon which others can create some magic!
"'Granite' was a great album for us to do, but in a lot of ways we were playing music that we already knew really well. This was much more of an exploration of new territories for everyone and we all have had SUCH a blast putting it together."
Added Doogie: "Chic is very driven, creatively and emotionally, and I get bored when I am not working. It therefore makes for the most wonderful combination for us to write songs together.
"I personally never thought that LA PAZ would never record another album. I knew we had at least another one in us. It's a natural thing we have. Chic knows, I know, and together we both know that between us we can write a song or two. Then when you add in the solid foundation of Big Al and Wee Paul, it's all there. Of course 'Posh Boy' Andy has his part to play on the keyboards to make it really become LA PAZ.
"Chic's songs for this album have 'traditional' LA PAZ influences, but we are older and more travelled and his ideas outwit the great traditions of what LA PAZ should sound like, shines a new light on the music we write. It was challenging for us both to write it, but we knew what we needed. For some people, a few of the songs may be challenging and unexpected, both musically and lyrically. But that's the joy of LA PAZ.
"We came from nothing and we may return to nothing, but the road we ventured on has been so satisfying and creative. We may even send each other Christmas cards this year!
"I think we have made ourselves proud with this record. 'Granite' was easier, as it was taking old ideas and revamping them. Then we added some twists on the new songs. 'The Dark And The Light' is different, but when all five of us are working together like that, it fair brings a smile to one's face."
LA PAZ was formed in Lanarkshire, Scotland in the summer of 1984 by Chic McSherry (guitar), Doogie White (vocals) and Alex Carmichael (bass). At the first rehearsal together, they hit it off immediately on a personal level. They also liked the same music and they had the same influences and heroes (DEEP PURPLE, RAINBOW, JOURNEY, Gary Moore) so they started to recruit other members to try to form a band and go do some gigs. Andy Mason (keyboards) joined the trio and he fitted in from the start, even though he was still at school when he joined. Drummers were always a problem, and, over the life of the band, LA PAZ went through almost as many as SPINAL TAP. Unquestionably the loudest and the most accomplished was/is their current drummer, Paul McManus. LA PAZ played live regularly, sometimes playing up to a hundred gigs in a year. They appeared at the world-famous Marquee Club in London as well as at some festivals in Milton Keynes and they were featured regularly in Kerrang! (Derek Oliver becoming a big fan of the band) and attracted interest from a number of U.K. and U.S. record companies, finally agreeing terms with one of them for a three-album deal. But it was not to be — for reasons which were never explained by the record label, the deal fell through at the very last minute. Sadly, the band didn't survive for very long after that. They did their last gig on October 15, 1988 and then Doogie moved to London to join MIDNITE BLUE, RITCHIE BLACKMORE'S RAINBOW, CORNERSTONE, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN and now the mighty TANK. And then legendary DJ Tom Russell of 96.3 Rock Radio called Doogie and asked him if he would do some acoustic numbers at The Garage in Glasgow for Rock Radio's birthday bash in January 2008. Doogie agreed and asked Chic to play guitar. Almost 1000 people attended, with Doogie singing alone and Chic with one flamenco guitar!
"We had such a blast though and it woke up so many great memories in both of us that we decided to give it a go with the full band for my 50th birthday," said Chic.
And so the full band started to rehearse and it was clear that they could still play a bit. The band just gelled: just like old times and the gigs were a terrific success. And so the idea of re-recording some of the favourites from the set that had never had a proper production job was conceived. The final result could be heard on the album "Granite", released on February 13, 2012 in Europe and March 6, 2012 in USA. It was an album with its roots in the past but its energy in the present.
DOOGIE WHITE & LA PAZ is:
Doogie White - Vocals
Chic McSherry - Guitar
Alex Carmichael - Bass
Andy Mason - Keyboards
Paul McManus - Drums

The band states: "We have begun tracking drums at Hearse Studio in Heule, Belgium with longtime friend Lander Cluyse. Mastering will be handled by Alan Douches at West West Side Music (SEPULTURA, SUFFOCATION, UNEARTH).
"The album will contain 14 tracks of unrelenting and ridiculously heavy grindcore with more groove than you can shake a stick at and enough twists and turns to make you smash your head into a wall in a fit of delirious rage. Expect a release around the end of this year.
"We also have some exciting tour news coming up so stay tuned! And I'm not just talking Europe..."
2012 marked the tenth anniversary of the release of LENG TCH'E's debut album, "Death By A Thousand Cuts".
"Hypomanic" was released in Europe in May 2010 and in North America in June 2010 via Season Of Mist. The CD was recorded at Parlour Studio in Kettering, United Kingdom with producer Russ Russell (NAPALM DEATH, DIMMU BORGIR, EVILE).

ROBERT PLANT Appears On New Video/Single From Partner PATTY GRIFFINLED ZEPPELIN singer ROBERT PLANT appears on the new single from folk singer and his romantic partner PATTY GRIFFIN. The haunting folk ballad 'Ohio' "is a story about the Underground Railroad, about slaves escaping," Griffin tells Rocksquare.com. "It's inspired by something I read in a Toni Morrison novel a few years back."
According to Griffin, he played a key role in arranging the song.
"I had the song in an odd shape and couldn't really figure out how to use it," she said. "He came in and arranged it so that it became what it is. He came up with the tempo and the mood on it."
Check out 'Ohio' below:
ROBERT PLANT PRESENTS THE SENSATIONAL SPACE SHIFTERS has just announced its first North American tour dates. This dynamic and powerful new incarnation of Plant’s musical vision has been touring the world, most recently in Australia and New Zealand. The dates begin June 20 at the Dallas, TX, Palladium and end July 27 in Brooklyn, NY’s Prospect Park. The band will be playing five festival dates, including Britt in Jacksonville, OR, High Sierra in Quincy, CA, Jambase in George, WA, Portland Blues in Portland, OR, and Forecastle in Louisville, KY.
View the tour trailer below:
One of a generation of British kids, drawn without rhyme or reason, to sounds from a far away world. A world of field holler, despair, Levee camp and chain- gang moans; of Saturday night fish-fry and Juke Joint foot stomp. A million miles lay between the brooding pulse of Mississippi Delta life and the sanitized shelter of the timid English boy, circa 1962.
Fifty years on — drawing from a lifetime of adventures, tracking the dark, beautiful resonator, Plant follows his heart and lifts his voice higher and joyous ever away. A voice of experience and learning from the sounds of Southside Chicago Electric Blues; of Griot mantras from West Africa; from Louisiana Dance Halls; Greenwich Village Folk hangover; Haight Ashbury indulgences; Moroccan medina breakbeat; the early English radical techno materials, Texas two-step and Bristol Dubstep.
Before his recent projects in Nashville with ALISON KRAUSS and BAND OF JOY, Plant worked alongside the very interesting force, Strange Sensation, recording the critically acclaimed, multi-Grammy nominated albums - Dreamland and Mighty Rearranger. From this platform, Sensational Space Shifters has developed. Now together these confederates and conspirators dig deeper and more intensely, always twisting and turning, bringing the past into a brilliant technicolour present.
The band is:
Justin Adams – guitar, bendir, vocals
John Baggott – keyboards
Juldeh Camara – ritti (one stringed African violin), kologo (African Banjo), talking drum, vocals
Billy Fuller – bass guitar, vocals
Dave Smith – drums and percussion
Liam “Skin” Tyson – guitar, vocals
Plant revels in the excitement generated by the collision of these remarkably powerful forces. Though his contribution to pop culture began with his work with Led Zeppelin, his path since has been uncompromising: keep it fresh, spin the bottle, dig deep, embrace the past – visit it – celebrate it – but don’t build a home in it.

Like on the two previous albums the cover is based on a painting, this time created by the tattooist Odin Roar Uldall. The cover artwork can be seen here:
"Come Forth Plague" is the first CROCELL album with Asbjørn Steffensen (MORDAX) behind the microphone, and it comprises 40 minutes of raw death metal in the form of the following tracks:
01. Perfidious Ceremony
02. The Dark I Will Inhale
03. Trembling Realms
04. Teachings of Terror, Doctrines of Death
05. My Path of Heresy
06. Seven Thrones
07. Servants of Light
08. Scars of Red
09. Come Forth Plague
The song "The Dark I Will Inhale" can be streamed using the ReverbNation widget below.
Regarding Steffensen's addition to CROCELL, the band's guitarist, Tommy Christensen, previously said: "A number of skilled vocalists auditioned, but when Asbjørn visited, we knew straight away that we had found our new guy. Asbjørn could already sing most of the songs perfectly and together CROCELL sound better than ever before."
CROCELL's second album, "The Wretched Eidola", was released in May 2011 via Ultimhate Records.

HELLYEAH Confirmed For This Year's GIGANTOURThe metal juggernaut known as HELLYEAH — featuring Vinnie Paul Abbott (PANTERA, DAMAGEPLAN), Chad Gray and Greg Tribbett (MUDVAYNE), Tom Maxwell (NOTHINGFACE) and Bob "Zilla" Kakaha (DAMAGEPLAN) — has been confirmed for this year's edition of Gigantour, the critically acclaimed package festival founded in 2005 by MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine. Also scheduled to appear on the bill are headliners MEGADETH, along with DEVICE, the new band fronted by DISTURBED singer David Draiman; and DEATH DIVISION, the heavy, technically aggressive and melodic band founded by bassist Jerry Montano (HELLYEAH, DANZIG, NOTHINGFACE), drummer Tim Yeung (MORBID ANGEL, DIVINE HERESY, HATE ETERNAL, NILE), vocalist/guitarist Sean De La Tour and lead guitarist Rick Di Marco. More acts will be announced soon.
HELLYEAH's third album, "Band Of Brothers", sold 19,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 19 on The Billboard 200 chart.
Released on July 17, 2012 via HELLYEAH's new label home, Eleven Seven Music, "Band Of Brothers" was recorded in Dallas, Texas at Vinnie Paul Abbott's home studio, VP's Upstairs Studio, and was produced by the band and Jeremy Parker (GODSMACK, EVANESCENCE), who also served as engineer. Gray told The Pulse Of Radio that the album represents the first time that the members of the band have fully embraced their musical roots. "It's definitely my favorite HELLYEAH record to date, for sure," he said. "I think the first couple were kind of experiments and stuff, and I think we kind of kept what we've done individually away from HELLYEAH, with our, you know, previous bands and stuff, and this time it was like we just kind of said, 'Screw it,' we just kind of quit being afraid to be ourselves. I'm really, really proud of it, I think we all are."
The band has stated that "Band Of Brothers" is a heavier, more metal-sounding effort that either its self-titled 2007 debut or 2010's "Stampede".
Speaking to "Saturday Night Scream" earlier this month, Dave Mustaine stated about the rest of the lineup for this year's Gigantour: "I think [fans] are gonna be pretty stoked, because each one of the other bands on there, they're new bands comprised of a person who was a major celebrity from a really large band that went on to do something new — [which is] another really good clue for you and your listeners."
In a January 2013 interview with VintageRock.com, Mustaine said about his plans for Gigantour: "We've got some stuff lined up at the end of the year with Gigantour — not only in here in the States, but also down in South America. We've got some really interesting lineups for that. Most people would look at the lineup and they would think, like, 'Dave's not gonna tolerate your crap at all.' Because there's a couple of people that we have that are on the lineup — and we're hoping for the best — but they're notorious bad boys. But when people grow up, they kind of grow up; they don't just grow old. And we're hoping that the music is gonna be the most important thing so that the fans will get what they want. Because it's undoubtedly… The people that we have, so far, as far as we know, for Gigantour, they've got great music. We're really looking forward to that."
Gigantour made its return last year for the first time since 2008. The multi-artist bill — with metal heavyweights MOTÖRHEAD, VOLBEAT and LACUNA COIL all personally picked by Mustaine — kicked off on January 26, 2012 in Camden, New Jersey and wrapped on March 3, 2012 in Austin.

GOTHMINISTER: 'Horrorshow' Video Released"Horrorshow", the new video from Norwegian industrial/electronic metallers GOTHMINISTER, can be seen below. The song comes off the band's upcoming concert film and concept album entitled "Utopia". Due on May 16 via AFM Records, the set will include both newly recorded songs and a horror concert film with a running time of one hour and 20 minutes plus bonus material.
According to a press release, "The concept of 'Utopia' is inspired by Bjørn Alexander Brem's life and nightmares. The combination of being a lawyer in daytime and GOTHMINISTER at night drives him eventually insane; it becomes impossible for him to separate reality from imagination. The other GOTHMINISTER members Chris Dead (drummer), Icarus (guitars) and Turbo Natas (guitars) also take part in this nightmarish world filled with undead walkers, witches, werewolves and monsters."
Since the release of his debut, "Gothic Electronic Anthems", in 2003, Brem has captured the listeners with his hymns of pitch-black magic. Dark shudders, deepest leadvocals and thrilling craft of composing within the marrow of gothic, industrial metal and electro have become his trademarks ever since. Driving sequences lead into compelling verses which are soon countered by harsh metal riffs. Finally the listener gets subdued by an overwhelming combination of catchiness, denseness and heavenly choirs.
GOTHMINISTER is:
Bjørn "Gothminister" Brem - Vocals
Christian "Chris Dead" Svendsen - Drums
Glenn "Icarus" Nilsen - Guitar
Ketil "Turbo Natas" Eggum - Guitar

Comments THERION mastermind Christofer Johnsson: "When announcing that we will be working on a rock opera for some years, we were met with many deep sighs as the original plan was to stay off touring completely and only do a few festivals once in a while (to not completely lose contact with the fans meanwhile). I've learnt over the years that it's better to focus on one thing and not interrupt it with a lot of other types of activities. I am, however, not unable to change my mind if there is a good reason for it.
"We are not supposed to start working properly on the rock opera until the autumn, but we have cheated a bit and already started a bit. We have discovered that the possible musical directions are many and after a while the idea to test them on an audience was born.
"Unlike a regular THERION album where we do what we wanna do and record buyers simply can like or not like it, this is a much larger project and we are dependent on making something that really appeal to people in a broader sense.
"The idea of spending several years on something that may not launch fully due to being too inaccessible vs. production expenses is not appealing at all. Also, after 25 years of doing whatever we wanted, it's a real challenge and a new experience to try to work in a certain direction intentionally. So we need guinea pigs to test the stuff on to see how we are doing. That's where you guys come in.
"So we will be doing a couple of shows where we will perform a few pieces of what we have so far and see the reactions, if we are going in the right direction or if we need to get back to the drawing desk again. We will also reveal the concept of the rock opera then.
"While being on the road with all the gear hooked up on stage, we will, of course, take the opportunity to blow off a set list with old classics at the same time."
THERION "rock opera" tour dates:
Dec. 06 - Studio - Krakow, Poland
Dec. 07 - Stodola - Warsaw, Poland
Dec. 08 - Eter - Wroclaw, Poland
Dec. 10 - Club 22 - Budapest, Hungary
Dec. 11 - Szene - Vienna, Austria
Dec. 12 - Fleda - Brno, Czech republic
Dec. 13 - F Haus - Jena, Germany
Dec. 14 - Effenaar - Eindhoven, Holland
Dec. 15 - Le Docks - Lausanne, Switzerland
Dec. 17 - RnR Arena - Romangnano, Italy
Dec. 18 - Z7 - Pratteln, Switzerland
Dec. 19 - Trabendo - Paris, France
Dec. 20 - Islington - London, UK
Dec. 21 - Harmonie - Leeuwarden, Holland
Dec. 22 - Batschkapp - Frankfurt, Germany
THERION last year celebrated its 25th anniversary with the release of a new album, "Les Fleurs Du Mal". The band signed a licensing deal with End Of The Light Records to make the CD available in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
The "Les Fleurs Du Mal" title refers to Charles Baudelaire's (French author and poet 1821 - 1867) famous poem collection "Flowers Of Evil" ("Les Fleurs Du Mal" in French) that caused such an upset of emotions in France that the author was brought to court and got fined for "insulting the public" with six of the poems, that remained forbidden in France until 1949 when the ban was finally lifted. The spirit of the project is a tribute to Baudelaire, and is imbued into both music and artwork.

IWRESTLEDABEARONCE Putting Finishing Touches On Third Full-Length AlbumExperimental heavy rockers IWRESTLEDABEARONCE are putting the finishing touches on third studio album, due out later this year.
Currently holed in their band compound/recording studio in Los Angeles, the IWRESTLEDABEARONCE members are pushing themselves musically like never before. While known for their schizophrenic sound and unconventional song structure, IWRESTLEDABEARONCE is approaching their next record with a new focus and a determination to deliver an album that will surprise fans and entirely redefine who they are as a band.
"Well damn! After another two years of non-stop touring, some unexpected twists, and getting to visit some new and amazing places, we're finally back in the studio working on full length number three!," says guitarist/programmer Steven Bradley.
"I've 100% NEVER been this excited about an IWRESTLEDABEARONCE album, because it feels like we've finally reigned in 'our sound' even further and really hit a stride in terms of songwriting.
"We've always admired bands like DEFTONES, CYNIC, THRICE, GLASSJAW, MR. BUNGLE, DREDG, CEPHALIC CARNAGE, THE MARS VOLTA, etc., because they've never made the same album twice, and aren't scared to keep evolving while still maintaining their signature styles. Obviously I'd never compare us to the greatness of those bands, but, in keeping with that mentality, we've progressed a bit more and put together our best collection of songs so far."
Bradley, who is producing, engineering, mixing and mastering the album himself adds: "The heavy parts are heavier and more interesting, the choruses are stronger, and the 'weird twists' that people have come to expect in our music are way more thought-out than in the past and definitely hit harder than ever.
"Long story short — we're very excited about getting this album finished and released, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Thanks for listening, and keep in touch with us on our Facebook/Twitter/etc. where we will be posting frequent updates!"
IWRESTLEDABEARONCE's upcoming album will also be the debut of the band's electrifying new scream/sing queen Courtney LaPlante, who joined the band with only a 24-hour notice in between shows on the Vans Warped Tour in 2012. Her contributions to the new music have not only re-energized the band but have also allowed them to explore new growth as a cohesive unit.
"Since the day I joined this band, I've been anticipating this album!" says LaPlante. "I was pushed to the limit creatively and technically, and I've never been more proud of myself or my bandmates. We've been through alot this year, and this is the pay-off; the result of our experiences. Most importantly, I think IWRESTLEDABEARONCE fans both old and new will really enjoy these songs, and we can't wait to play them live for you this summer!"

ETHS Guitarist QuitsGuitarist Grégory "Greg" Rouvière has left the Marseille, France-based metalcore band ETHS. He says in a statement: "Due to my injury and a couple of personal issues, I decided to put my musical career on a hiatus.
"I will stay close to the band, because we are friends above all, but I had to make that decision even if it breaks my heart.
"I count on all of you to keep on supporting ETHS, especially since the recent induction of Rachel brings the highest hopes for the future.
"Thank you all for those wonderful memories I'll cherish forever."
Added the remaining members of ETHS: "We wish Greg all the best in his future endeavors. We will never forget the great times we had together and hope for that hiatus to be short-lived.
"Greg will not be replaced and ETHS is now a four-piece band."
Singer Rachel Aspe made her live debut with ETHS on April 10 at Le Ninkasi Kao in Lyon, France. Fan-filmed video footage of the concert can be seen below.
"I am very proud to be a part of ETHS," Rachel said in a statement upcoming joining the band. "I have been a fan of the group for years and it is a real honor for me to find myself singing the songs that have I listened to for so long."
ETHS last year recruited Virginie Goncalves (KELLS) and Nelly Wood-Hasselhoff to handle lead vocals at the group's shows following the departure of Candice Clot.
"We are delighted to welcome Rachel to the group," said ETHS. "She is a great girl with an amazing voice!
"Thank you, Virginie and Nelly, for helping us out on stage in recent months.
"A new chapter in the career of ETHS is about to be written."
Aspe made headlines in France last November when she performed the SYBREED song "Emma-0" on an episode of "La France À Un Incroyable Talent", the French reality television series which is part of the global British "Got Talent" franchise. Her death metal vocal styling stunned the judges and crowd before going viral and being seen by millions of people. A member of the melodic death metal band DIVIDEAD, she also made a guest appearance on the latest KERÍON CD entitled "Cloudriders" on the track "Fireblast".
Clot played her final show as a member of ETHS on October 13, 2012 at L'Arcade in Notre-Dame-de-Gravenchon, France.

BLOTTED SCIENCE - The Machinations Of Dementia, The Animation Of Entomology Vinyl Releases AnnouncedAntithetic Records have announced a May 21 street date for the first ever vinyl release of The Machinations of Dementia and The Animation of Entomology, the two highly acclaimed albums by experimental progressive metal all-star triumvirate BLOTTED SCIENCE, featuring guitarist/mastermind Ron Jarzombek (WATCHTOWER, SPASTIC INK), bassist Alex Webster (CANNINAL CORPSE), and drummer Hannes Grossmann (OBSCURA).
The Machinations of Dementia will be issued as a limited edition gatefold double LP, with 100 copies on clear with yellow and green splatter vinyl, 150 copies on bone and blood swirl vinyl, and the remaining 250 copies in black. The Animation of Entomology will come as a single LP, including a full color two-sided insert, with 100 copies on blood red vinyl, 150 copies on yellow with black splatter vinyl, and 250 copies in black. Exclusive pre-orders for both titles can now be placed via the Antithetic Records website.
Blotted Science was conceived in 2005 when Ron Jarzombek teamed up with Alex Webster and original drummer Chris Adler (LAMB OF GOD) who later had to bow out due to time constraints and was replaced by Charlie Zeleny (BEHOLD.... THE ARCTOPUS, JORDAN RUDESS) on the band's 2007 debut release, The Machinations of Dementia. Zeleny's seat was taken over by Hannes Grossmann on the 2011 mini-album follow-up, The Animation of Entomology, a 25-minute metal soundtrack scored to creepy crawly excerpts of the movies Slither, Creepshow, Swarmed and Peter Jackson's King Kong. Grossmann and Jarzombek had earlier collaborated on the one-off project TERRESTRIAL EXILED whose digital-only single "Duodecimal Levorotation" was issued in the spring of 2011.

Three FRANK ZAPPA Albums To Be Released On VinylWith the rights to all of groundbreaking composer FRANK ZAPPA’s music back home with the Zappa Family Trust, fans can look forward to more freshly remastered music being released on vinyl. On April 16h, they released a vinyl version of Frank Zappa’s Finer Moments, which was recorded in the early 1970s, but not released until 2012.
In June, look for new vinyl versions of Frank Zappa’s 1966 debut album Freak Out! and Over-Nite Sensation on Zappa Records/Barking Pumpkin Records. Joe Travers, vault master for the Frank Zappa archives is working with Chris Bellman of Bernie Grundman mastering on the new vinyl projects. Freak Out! will be a 180-gram reissue of the original 1966 stereo mix of the album whose title still says it all. The album marked Frank Zappa's legendary debut album with the MOTHERS OF INVENTION and proved to be rock 'n roll’s first concept/double album. Back on vinyl 40 years after its original release, Over-Nite Sensation will also be 180-gram vinyl; the album includes the tracks ‘Camarillo Brillo’, ‘I'm The Slime’ and ‘Dinah-Moe Humm’ among others.
Last year when the rights to the iconic composer’s music reverted back to Zappa Records and the Zappa Family Trust--headed by Zappa’s widow Gail Zappa--the family made all his music available on iTunes for the first time. The releases honor the iconic legacy of the Composer, Guitarist, Bandleader, Filmmaker and Wit. Zappa was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995 and received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1997.

DELIVERANCE To Release Final Album In SeptemberChristian thrash metal veterans DELIVERANCE will release their tenth and final studio album, "Hear What I Say!", on September 3 via 3 Frogz Records/Roxx Records.
According to a press release, "Hear What I Say!" is "a surprising fresh blend of the entire 'D' musical repertoire rolled into one record. With nine originals and two surprise cover songs, this release will once again show the world that founder and main songwriter Jimmy P. Brown II has not missed one step with his four-man army! Always ready to deliver, he assembled a true cast of players for this final venture that were up to the task!"
DELIVERANCE 2013 features Jimmy P. Brown II out front on vocals and lead guitar as well as the return of Michael Phillips (DELIVERANCE, THE SACRIFICED, JOIN THE DEAD) shredding once again on lead guitar. On bass making his long overdue return to the DELIVERANCE fold, none other than Manny Morales! And this time around pounding the drums is Jayson Sherlock (MORTIFICATION, HORDE, PARAMECIUM).
Jimmy P. Brown II says: 'I wanted to put the final chapter to this book called DELIVERANCE in its proper prospective! Tand downs, but in the end it was a magnificent journey with all the band members over the years, and, more importantly, our fans! This album is for them, to say goodbye in true 'D' fashion! I am ever grateful to all the supporters throughout the years, but 'D' has run its course. I want her to rest and go out with a nice beautiful and loud bang! To all our fans, supporters, and ALL of my former bandmates, it was a wonderful roller coaster ride, scary, exciting, nauseating, thrilling, terrifying, but in the end it was fun! Lives were touched, people found what they needed at the time, and now, the next journey will begin…"
Helping shape the early thrash and speed metal scene of the late '80s and early '90s, DELIVERANCE was one of the premiere bands to stand out and break away from the pack. Signed to Intense Records in the early stages of its career and with its video "Weapons Of Our Warfare" a staple on MTV's "Headbangers Ball", DELIVERANCE was at the forefront of all things speed metal.

NIGHTRAGE To Begin Work On New MaterialAccording to Rockoverdose.gr, Marios Iliopoulos, guitarist and founder of the Greek-Swedish melodic death metallers NIGHTRAGE, is preparing to begin the songwriting process for the band's new album, which is expected in 2014. The band is also seeking a suitable label home for the upcoming CD following NIGHTRAGE's split with Lifeforce Records.
Fans will have a chance to see NIGHTRAGE live on their upcoming headlining tours, first in Europe in October and then in Japan in November 2013.
Iliopoulos was interviewed for a recent episode of the "Backstage-TV" program on the Swedish TV channel Öppna Kanalen Göteborg. You can now watch the in-depth chat below.
Due to scheduling conflicts, singer Antony Hämäläinen was unable to perform with NIGHTRAGE at the Gothenburg Sound Festival on January 5 at Trädgårn in Gothenburg, Sweden. His replacement for this show only was NIGHTRAGE's former frontman Tomas Lindberg from AT THE GATES.
Lindberg — who is also known for his work with THE CROWN and LOCK UP — appeared on NIGHTRAGE's first two albums (2003's "Sweet Vengeance" and 2005's "Descent Into Chaos") before being replaced by Jimmie Strimell, who sang on 2007's "A New Disease Is Born".
NIGHTRAGE's fifth album, "Insidious", was released in September 2011 via Lifeforce Records. The CD featured guest appearances by Gus G. (OZZY OSBOURNE, FIREWIND), Tomas S. Englund (EVERGREY), Apollo Papathanasio (FIREWIND, SPIRITUAL BEGGARS), John K (BIOMECHANICAL) and Lindberg.

BUSH: Quality Performance Footage Of Two New Songs AvailableQuality fan-filmed video footage of BUSH performing two brand-new songs, "This House Is On Fire" and "Loneliness Is A Killer", on April 26 at Sutton State Parking Lot #2 at Siesta Fest in San Antonio, Texas can be seen below (with a special guest appearance by Sybil Buck). Both tracks were written during sessions for their upcoming album, due out later this year. The band's current U.S. tour will be followed by dates overseas, including shows in Russia, London and Vienna, among others.
BUSH (vocalist Gavin Rossdale, guitarist Chris Traynor, bassist Corey Britz, drummer Robin Goodridge) recently released "Live From Austin, Texas", an electrifying concert DVD featuring footage from an August 2011 sold-out show at Stubbs. The disc, also available on Blu-ray, features fan favorites "Machinehead", "Glycerine" and "Comedown" — along with new hits "All My Life", "The Afterlife" and "The Sound Of Winter".
BUSH made rock radio history with "The Sound of Winter", becoming the first band ever to hit No. 1 at Alternative Radio with a self-released single. The song appears on the group's most recent release, "The Sea Of Memories", which was the first BUSH disc to be released via the band's own imprint, Zuma Rock Records. "The Sound Of Winter" also holds the distinction of being the reunited group's first No. 1 single since 1999's chart-topping hit "The Chemicals Between Us".
Over the course of their career, BUSH has sold more than 16 million albums in the U.S. and Canada alone. They've also compiled an amazing string of 15 consecutive Top 40 hit singles on the Modern Rock and Mainstream Rock charts, including 11 that hit the Top 5. Five of these became No. 1 hits: "Comedown", "Glycerine", "Swallowed", "The Chemicals Between Us" and "The Sound Of Winter". In 2008, Rossdale returned to the top of the charts with his solo single, "Love Remains The Same", which hit No. 1 on iTunes and generated more than 1.6 million downloads.

SEPTEMBER MURDER: New Song Available For Streaming"Among Vultures", brand new song from German extreme metal newcomers SEPTEMBER MURDER, can be streamed using the SoundCloud widget below. The track comes off the band's second full-length album, "He Who Invokes Decadence", which will be independently released on June 17 in Europe and June 18 in the rest of the world. The follow-up to 2009's "Agony In Flesh" (Maintain Records, Twilight Distribution) was produced by Jens Martinek at his Schmiedeberg 7 Studios in Rübeland, Germany and was mastered in early 2013 by Peter Neuber (NASUM, VOMITORY, PRIMORDIAL, WAR FROM A HARLOTS MOUTH) at Mega Wimp Sound Studios, Berlin.
Comments SEPTEMBER MURDER vocalist Oliver: "'He Who Invokes Decadence' is more than just a classical death metal parole. The title of the album allegorizes the cry for the most aggressive form of human affection — charity. Man's abasement of morality and violation of borders between the societal credo and the implicitness of its forcible participation are essential topics of the lyrics on this long player."

After the departure of SEPTEMBER MURDER bassist Guntar Elsaßer in 2011, the band found an adequate replacement in Marcus Kühne (also a member of German death/grinders METZGORE) and completed the songwriting process for the new CD. According to a press releae, "the band concentrated on a more open conceptual work and a refined sound to overcome boundaries drawn by genre conventions."
