Finnish epic folk metallers FROSTTIDE have inked a record deal with NoiseArt Records, as well as a booking deal with Rock The Nation/RTN Touring.

Algy Ward, founder and frontman of British metal legands TANK, has signed a deal with 4Worlds Media for the release of "the definitive" new TANK album entitled "Breath Of The Pit", Due in May, the CD will feature 10 brand new recordings that "will blow your face off in true filth hounds tradition," according to a press release. Algy himself produced the effort, which is being described as "a real TANK album for genuine TANK fans."

Algy's TANK is not to be confused with the other version of the band — featuring Mick Tucker and Cliff Evans on guitar alongside ex-RAINBOW/YNGWIE MALMSTEEN frontman Doogie White and ex-BRUCE DICKINSON bassist Chris Dale and former HELLOWEEN drummer Mark Cross — which released a new DVD, "War Machine Live", last December in the USA through MVD. The set, which came out in Europe in November via Metal Mind Productions, features live performances filmed on March 9, 2012 at Stodola in Warsaw, Poland and August 10, 2011 at Metal Hammer Festival in Katowice, Poland, plus band interviews, on-the-road footage and the promotional video for "War Nation", the title track of the band's most recent studio album.

In a 2009 statement to Classic Rock magazine, Ward slammed his former bandmates for taking a version of the band out on the road in Europe without him. He said: "I wish the loyal TANK fans around the world to know that the band playing various European festivals under the name of 'TANK' do so without my consent.

"The band name TANK, associated logos and images are my sole intellectual property and copyright.

"I am currently unable to perform live due to poor health but continue to write and record."

DOYLE, the project led by former MISFITS guitarist Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein, has just released its new album, "Abominator", digitally via iTunes, Google Play and CDBaby. The effort, which also features Alex Story (CANCERSLUG) on vocals and Dr. Chud (MISFITS) on drums, will be made available as a full official physical CD digipak (jam-packed with "extras") in a few months. Special advanced copies are available now during the DANZIG 25th-anniversary tour and 50 copies will be in stock per show.

The band wanted a dark and disturbing cover, and Kantor instantly knew what they asked for after being presented with the music and lyrics.

"What he came up with turned out to be more than what we had dared to hope for," says TRISTANIA guitarist Anders Høyvik Hidle. "His painting for the front cover made us speechless, Eliran totally understood our vision with this album, and the artwork fits perfectly to the music and lyrics."

With "Darkest White", TRISTANIA venture into a considerably darker soundscape than on their previous album, both musically and lyrically. The emotional span of the album is bigger, ranging from the most brutal primal aggression to the most fragile and poignant moments. The album features an array of grand arrangements, doomy moods, and elaborate harmonies blended with intense growling; a flamboyant display of outstanding vocal performances. Norwegian progressive metallers LEPROUS will release their new album, "Coal", on May 28 in North America (May 20 in Europe) via InsideOut Music. The cover artwork for the CD was created by acclaimed American artist Jeff Jordan, who produced the artwork for the band's last album, "Bilateral", in addition to working with THE MARS VOLTA.

Comments LEPROUS: "The artwork for this album was a hard nut to crack. We wanted something dark, melancholic but with a distinct character. We tried several solutions without finding the perfect supplement for the music, before we decided to contact Jeff Jordan once again. Jeff immediately had wonderful ideas that we decided to pursue. The artwork of 'Coal' is, in [our] opinion, the most iconic we've had so far."

LEPROUS has just finished filmed a video for the track "The Cloak" and, most suitably for the album's theme, the clip was shot in a mine.

Says the band: "We spent one very long day inside the Konnerud Hill Mines here in Norway, getting some very interesting footage. The video, just like the clip for 'Restless' on our previous album, was made by Twichty Films, but we promise you no fish or cake was harmed this time around. LEPROUS will perform at various prominent summer festivals (Wacken Open Air, Hellfest, Tuska, etc.) and headlining a European tour from September to November 2013 to promote "Coal".

SEPULTURA members Andreas Kisser (guitar), Paulo Xisto Pinto Jr. (bass) and Eloy Casagrande (drums), along with Andreas' 15-year-old son, Yohan Kisser, joined DOWN on stage on April 10 at Carioca Club in São Paulo, Brazil to perform the DOWN song "Bury Me In Smoke". DOWN's latest EP, "Down IV Part I - The Purple EP", was released on purple vinyl on February 26.

SEPULTURA will reunite with producer Ross Robinson (KORN, LIMP BIZKIT, SLIPKNOT) to record their next album, tentatively due before the end of the year via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD will be tracked in June at Robinson's studio in Venice, California and will be co-produced by Steve Evetts, who previously worked with SEPULTURA on the "Nation" (2001), "Revolusongs" (2002) and "Roorback" (2003) albums, in addition to having collaborated with Ross on a number of other projects in the past.

Argentinian gothic death metal band LUMIE CRIPTICA has released their new single, ‘Falling To Nowhere’, inaugurating a new era for the group and can be heard and downloaded via Facebook.

The concept of ‘Falling To Nowhere’ revolves around an internal struggle of a person against his feelings. The singer explains that, "it talks about the clash between the violent and the rational side... to try to master aggressive impulses that arise from the depths of each one of us and we did not know we had inside.”

The band has also released a video of the song and was directed by Cristian Trefny and Ariel Rey and was shot in three different sessions: one at IMPA facilities, a reclaimed factory that turns into a cultural center and the other two sessions were held in studio.

Buenos Aires, Argentina-based rockers 42 DECIBEL are Steamhammer/SPV’s latest signing. Their debut album Hard Rock 'N' Roll has been scheduled for release on June 21st in Germany, 24th throughout the rest of Europe and July 2nd in North America.

42 Decibel were founded in January 2010 by drummer Nicko Cambiasso and vocalist/guitarist Junior Figueroa. The band is completed by bassist Chris Towers and rhythm/slide guitarist Billy Bob Riley. 42 Decibel’s first seven-track demo saw the light of day in spring 2010 and defined the basis of their sound. Now the band are ready to present their first album Hard Rock´n`Roll, recorded with the support of sound engineer Patricio Claypole at the El Attic Studios and mastered by Justin Weis (PAPA ROACH, THE TUBES) at San Francisco’s Trakworx Studios.

On June 3rd, THE SCORPIONS will have their classic Crazy World reissued as a twoCD deluxe version on Universal Music.

Crazy World the band's 11th studio album was originally released in 1990 and contains the worldwide hit 'Wind of Change'. The package includes 12 live tracks from their Live Crazy world tour along with Crazy World’s four promotional videos. It was the Scorpions' first album in a decade and a half to not be produced by Dieter Dierks and is widely considered to be the last "classic" Scorpions album.
Formed in 1965 The Scorpions are a band who have enjoyed a rich and varied history and in the process selling in excess of 150 million records worldwide. From the psychedelic leanings of debut album Lonesome Crow in 1972 through the almost progressive era with guitarist Ulrich Roth for much of the 1970s and onto their most successful period as a more streamlined melodic hard rock band, beginning with the 1979 album Lovedrive. They strode through the 1980s as one of the biggest and most alluring of all the bands in this genre.

These Germanic gladiators had three Top 10 albums in US, beginning with Blackout in 1982, continuing on through Love At First Sting two years later and followed by Savage Amusement in 1988. The only other album from that period was 1980’s Animal Magnetism, which continued a commercial climb for the band that had begun with the breakthrough Lovedrive.

The final album in this remarkable run of success was 1990’s Crazy World, again one of the great hard rock records of the era and Crazy World was the last album to feature bassist Francis Buchholz, and by that extent, the last to to feature the band's classic lineup.

Attica’s Ashes create a unique blend of rock, metal and punk - with a horror twist. Spanish thrash metallers ANGELUS APATRIDA continue to promote their newest studio album, The Call. After performing a successful European tour together with label mates 3 INCHES OF BLOOD and HAVOK and playing a ton of shows in Spain and Portugal, the band are now heading towards Finland to support the Swedish metal innovators MESHUGGAH.

Furthermore, Angelus Apatrida are currently working on a re-release edition of their first two albums, Evil Unleashed (2006) and Give 'Em War (2007), both of which have become rare and requested items after years of being tough to find on the market. The re-release version via Century Media Records will gather both albums onto a two-CD package to be entitled Evil Unleashed / Give 'Em War and will also see the songs become available digitally for the very first time worldwide.

To celebrate 25 years of total DESASTER, the German thrashers have announced an anniversary show in Bamberg, Germany in November. The entire show will be filmed for a DVD release in 2014.
Desaster will perform an exclusive history set featuring live appearances of formers band members. Special merchandise will be available and an aftershow party will be held. Also performing are PENTACLE and DELIRIUM TREMENS. Tickets are 18 Euro and limited to 400.

Saskatoon-based thrash/death metal band UNTIMELY DEMISE supported 3 INCHES OF BLOOD and GOATWHORE in Regina on April 14th. Footage of the band performing a cover of DEATH's 'Suicide Machine' has been posted online and is available below:

Chilean metal band INFERIS have announced that vocalist Oliver Garcia has left the band, they are looking for a replacement.

The group commented: "After six years (together), we are announcing that Oliver Garcia has left the band. The whole process has been friendly, and we wish him nothing but the best on his future endeavors and his band VELLATORE. We take the chance to thank him for all the good years and the great work that he did for Inferis."
Inferis is currently working on 10 new tracks for its upcoming album, while they are seeking a replacement for Oliver.

Sweden's FATAL SMILE wants to use video footage filmed by the real fans of DIO in the video for their next single titled 'For The Last In Line', a ballad about Ronnie James Dio and the legacy he left behind.

Fatal Smile did a brief tour with Dio in Europe 2009. "We all fell in love with Ronnie, he was the sweetest and most gentle man you could ever imagine,"says singer Blade. "Mr Y (guitarist) left the room in silence, and later revealed the first piano piece we've ever heard him play. It was a sad little tune and the lyrics came to me right away. I recorded it with tears in my eyes the same night and sent it to Diana Deville of Dios management. She thought it should be released, so it was released the very next day digitally. The recording belongs to Ronnie James Dio Stand Up And Shout Cancer Fund, and the revenues from it goes uncut the the foundations fight against cancer."

The song was later rerecorded as a full on power ballad and is included on Fatal Smile's latest Gold album, 21st Century Freaks, that was released last May.

The video 'For The Last In Line' will be released on the day of Dio's passing due to cancer three years ago: May 16.

Finnish melodic heavy rockers SOULHEALER have released their first-ever official video for the song 'The Deception', taken from their new album, Chasing The Dream, due out on May 10th via Pure Legend Records. . Soulhealer will hold a pre-release party in their hometown Kajaani on May 4th at Bio Rex. The event takes place at the Bio Rex movie theatre.
