The official trailer for "Ex-Wives Of Rock", the new reality series which "chronicles the highs and lows of the glamorous L.A. lives of four women who have led the sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll life... and have survived to reinvent themselves," can be seen below.

The show, which will premiere on August 31 on the Canadian network Slice, is co-produced by the former FEMME FATALE frontwoman Lorraine Lewis, and is brought by the Toronto, Ontario, Canada-based distribution company Tricon Films & Television.

"Ex-Wives Of Rock" follows video vixen Susan Dixon (ex-wife of WARRANT bassist Jerry Dixon); Bobbie Brown (ex-wife of WARRANT frontman Jani Lane); drummer and Tommy Lee's sister, Athena Lee (ex-wife of SCORPIONS drummer James Kottak); and Sharise Neil (ex-wife of MÖTLEY CRÜE frontman Vince Neil). Throughout each episode, you will see all sides of the four ex-wives: the good, the bad and the ugly. We'll witness family drama, messed up love lives and friendships crash and burn. We'll see the glamorous red carpet events, the seedy rock clubs, the fabulous hotel lunches and the quiet dinners at home.

Being "hair-band groupies" is far in the past for these now late-thirties, early-forties ladies; but that doesn't mean their rock 'n' roll days are over. Their journey begins where one life has ended and another one has just begun. They are mothers. Business owners. Partiers. And ladies of the L.A. lifestyle.

Singer Geoff Tate (QUEENSRŸCHE) has posted the following message on his Facebook page:

"Welcome 'Tate 1!' I have a new tour bus for my upcoming solo tour and QUEENSRŸCHE tours [see photo below]. She is about to go through her revamp to be ready to start touring this fall. She will be all custom and I plan on sharing this exciting experience with my fans who make my tours tours happen by having a launch party for her in October of this year. I will keep you posted on her progress. She has a long pedigree of famous tours but started her career as the tour bus for THE EAGLES on the 'Hotel California' tour."

Tate revealed last week that he will support ALICE COOPER on a Canadian tour in November, and will embark on a QUEENSRŸCHE "anniversary tour" in 2013 backed by an "all-star lineup" of musicians.

Tate's personal web site, GeoffTate.com, was recently upgraded with a new banner that reads "Geoff Tate: The Voice Of QUEENSRŸCHE." He is also billed on the web site for booking agency Monterey International as "QUEENSRŸCHE Starring Geoff Tate: The Original Voice." The band's lineup isn't listed.

Guitarist Michael Wilton, drummer Scott Rockenfield, bassist Eddie Jackson and Parker Lundgren (guitar) announced on June 20 that they were parting ways with Geoff Tate and recruiting La Torre of CRIMSON GLORY as his replacement.

Wilton, Jackson and Rockenfield defeated Tate's motion for a preliminary injunction on July 13 that would have kept them from touring and operating under the band name,

Tate and his wife, Susan, QUEENSRŸCHE's former manager, filed a lawsuit against Geoff's ex-bandmates on June 22 in King County Superior Court over whether he should be awarded the QUEENSRŸCHE name after being dismissed from the group in June. Their complaint states Rockenfield, Wilton and Jackson wrongfully fired the singer and are tarnishing the group's brand by attempting to move forward without him.

If the case goes to trial, the date is set for November 18, 2013.

Eagle Records has announced the release of "Re-Machined - A Tribute To Deep Purple's Machine Head" album on September 25.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the release of this landmark album and in recognition of the influence of the band, and of "Machine Head" in particular. Some of rock music's biggest names have each contributed a version of their favorite track on the album to create "Re-Machined - A Tribute To Deep Purple's Machine Head".

There are two wildly differing versions of the album's most famous track "Smoke On The Water", one from guitar hero Carlos Santana with vocals by Jacoby Shaddix and one from alternative rockers FLAMING LIPS, and METALLICA have contributed their own special take on "When A Blind Man Cries", a track recorded at the "Machine Head" sessions but originally released as the B-side to "Never Before".

IRON MAIDEN's "Space Truckin'" cover was actually recorded back in 2006. Lead singer Bruce Dickinson explains, "Initially we didn't think we'd be able to contribute anything due to our touring commitments. Then we remembered 'Space Truckin'' which we'd recorded as a single B-side during our 'A Matter Of Life And Death' album session, but never used. However now, thanks to Kevin Shirley's remixing skills, we're able to include it on 'Re-Machined'."

Drummer Lars Ulrich of METALLICA, who are also recording a song for the upcoming Ronnie James Dio tribute album, previously said, "We were asked if we'd contribute to the anniversary of 'Machine Head' — we can't turn that down. We're circling the Dio and PURPLE catalogs and hopefully we'll come up with something that is worthy of these wonderful men."

Initially released as a limited edition Classic Rock "fanpack" on September 3, this is a truly unique release that will appeal to rock fans everywhere.

"Burning Leaves", a brand new song from Finnish folk metallers ENSIFERUM, can be streamed using the SoundCloud player below. The track comes off the band's fifth album, "Unsung Heroes", which will be released on August 27 via Spinefarm Records. The CD was produced by Hiili Hiilesmaa (HIM, SENTENCED) at Petrax studio (CHILDREN OF BODOM, NIGHTWISH) in Hollola, Finland and other locations in the Hämeenlinna area. According to a press release, the hour-plus follow-up to 2009’s "From Afar" "sees the Finnish five-piece — founded in 1995 — pushing their signature sound to bold new heights of drama and excess. ENSIFERUM's fourth album, "From Afar", sold around 900 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at position No. 44 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

"From Afar" was released on September 9, 2009 via Spinefarm Records. The CD was produced by Tero Kinnunen (NIGHTWISH, AMORPHIS) and Janne Joutsenniemi ('Victory Songs' producer) and was mixed by Hiili Hiilesmaa (HIM, SENTENCED, AMORPHIS).

GRAVE DIGGER last fall extended its contract with Napalm Records.

"The Clans Are Still Marching", the latest DVD from GRAVE DIGGER, entered the German Media Control chart at position No. 56 (German chart rules allow music DVDs to enter album charts).

The band's latest album, "The Clans Will Rise Again", was released in Europe on October 1, 2010 via Napalm Records.

A new one-minute teaser for "RIITIIR", the twelfth studio album from Norwegian progressive extreme metallers ENSLAVED, is available below. The CD will be released in Europe on September 28 and in North America on October 9 via Nuclear Blast Records.

"It has been only two years since we last released an album [2010's award-winning 'Axioma Ethica Odini'], and we've been touring Europe and North America several times since then," reflects ENSLAVED guitarist, songwriter, and founding member Ivar Bjørnson. "Some might think that this schedule, and the fact that we celebrated our 20th anniversary last year, should result in some time off in the end. Nah. The cover artwork for "RIITIIR" was once again created by Truls Espedal and can be seen below. He stated about his latest collaboration with the band, "ENSLAVED's music is constantly evolving and expanding, and we early on decided that the artwork should reflect this. From my first collaboration with the band on [2001's] 'Monumension' and forward, we have slowly merged different aspects into the work; what we wanted to do now was to further expand and change things up a bit, without losing the connection to earlier work. It still has a strong sense of symbolism, symmetrical compositions and references to Norse art. But there is an even bigger emphasis on realism on 'RIITIIR', which hopefully adds atmosphere to the finished work."

ENSLAVED's last two CDs — "Vertebrae" (2008) and "Axioma Ethica Odini" (2010) — were released via Indie Recordings in Europe and Nuclear Blast in North America.

Finnish melodic death metallers MORS PRINCIPIUM EST will release their fourth album, …And Death Said Live", in December via AFM Records.

MORS PRINIPIUM EST previously issued three full-length albums through the French label Listenable Records. After the release of the band's most recent LP, "Liberation = Termination", in 2007, the band underwent significant lineup changes, and following a worldwide search for the right band members, began writing material for the new album in 2011.

Regarding the decision to sign with AFM, MORS PRINCIPIUM EST singer Ville Viljanen previously said, "We talked to some other labels, too, but AFM seemed the right choice for us. We can't wait to get to the studio in the summer and release the new album at the end of 2012. And then we will see what happens, when the people of AFM starts to work their magic."

MORS PRINCIPIUM EST last year parted ways with guitarists Tomy Laisto and Kalle Aaltonen. A new axeman, Andy Gillion from the United Kingdom, has since been recruited.

Swedish blues rockers GRAVEYARD have set "Lights Out" as the title of their next album, due on October 26 via Nuclear Blast Records. A single, "Goliath", will precede the full-length CD on September 21 as a digital download and on seven-inch vinyl. The single will include a special non-album track, "Leaving You".

The "Goliath" seven-inch vinyl will be issued in four different colors (see below), featuring four different cover artworks.

Regarding the "Lights Out" cover artwork, GRAVEYARD states, "The cover is something completely different than the last cover. It has a lot to do with the title, 'Lights Out'. Our goal was that both the title and the cover would sum up the feeling of the album. And just to make things clear, 'Lights Out' is not a reference to either UFO or ENTOMBED. Even though both are excellent bands."

Comments the band: "The ['Goliath'] lyrics deal with the feeling that everyday life is a constant David vs. Goliath scene. You all know the story and the scene. But while built from the same rudiments, each DANKO JONES record possesses a distinct sonic identity. "Born A Lion" (2002) brought the boogie and sledgehammer soul; "We Sweat Blood" (2003) was, by contrast, more anxious and aggro. "Sleep Is The Enemy" (2006) wielded the sharpest hooks. "Never Too Loud" (2008) was as slick as "Below The Belt" (2010) was stripped-down. Tour dates in Canada, U.S. and Australia will be announced soon, with more European touring and a busy festival summer in 2013 also on the horizon.

Georgia's THE CHARIOT recently inked a European deal with Season Of Mist. The band's fifth album, "One Wing", will be released in Europe on September 21 and in the U.S. on August 28 via eOne Music / Good Fight Music.

Regarding the album title, Jyrki69 said, "We've never really celebrated anything, not that we've been playing 20 years or so (vampires don't count decades). Thus this time we thought to celebrate a bit: the new album is entitled as tenth in Roman numbers, it'll be called 'X'."

On the topic of the "X" cover artwork, Jyrki69 said, "The cover is pure goth 'n' roll: a psychedelic mirror image of old wild animal bones with our X-tagram projected over all. It's good, evil, magic and voodoo all together! Something to stare at when tripping on the album."

To coincide with the new album release, THE 69 EYES will also launch its own vampire-style red wine, simply called as "Red," which will mainly be distributed in Sweden and Finland.

LAMB OF GOD frontman Randy Blythe joined PRONG on stage this past Saturday (August 18) at Knotfest in Somerset, Wisconsin to perform a cover version of the MISFITS classic "London Dungeon". Fan-filmed video footage of his appearance can be seen below.

Blythe was released from a prison in Prague on August 2, more than a month after he was arrested and incarcerated. Blythe was facing the possibility of conviction and a long-term jail sentence after a 2010 incident in which a fan attending a LAMB OF GOD show died almost a month later, allegedly from injuries sustained when he was thrown off the stage. Blythe's predicament galvanized the heavy rock community, with artists across the hard rock genre pledging their support.

The case is expected to be heard in court in December.

Blythe and his bandmates are already rescheduling a canceled U.S. tour for October.

PRONG's new album, "Carved Into Stone", sold around 1,700 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at position No. 13 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

"Carved Into Stone" was released on April 24 in North America via Long Branch Records/SPV. The CD was recorded with producer Steve Evetts, who has previously worked with THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, SYMPHONY X, SEPULTURA and HATEBREED, among others. The cover artwork was created by Vance Kelly (DOWN, THE SWORD).

The band has finished writing 11 tracks for its third album, "Fatalis", which it plans to begin recording in February/March for a 2013 release.

COMMANDER's last album, "The Enemies We Create", was released in March 2008 via Bad Land Records/Twilight Vertrieb. The CD was produced by Seref A. Badir at Helion Studios (EQUILIBRIUM, DARKSEED, ATARGATIS) in Munich, Germany during December 2007/January 2008.

Swedish metallers ONE INCH GIANT has signed with Soulseller Records.

According to a press release: “If you look closely, you will find spots of black metal, grunge and bits of rock on its back, altering its skin progressively throughout its entire body. Up close you might find it ugly, but if you take a step back you will witness The Greatest View.”

Underground metallers A BAND OF ORCS have announced they have been confirmed for the last date of the Summer Slaughter Tour on August 25th at the Grove of Anaheim, CA.

Other acts confirmed for the tour are: CANNIBAL CORPSE, BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME, THE FACELESS, PERIPHERY, VEIL OF MAYA, JOB FOR A COWBOY, GOATWHORE, EXHUMED, and CEREBRAL BORE.

The band will be performing at 1:30PM (PST).

A Band Of Orcs' Summer Slaughter set will include several tracks from the forthcoming album entitled Adding Heads To The Pile, including their latest single released through Itchy Metal Entertainment entitled ‘In the Keeper's Chamber’.

The release date for Adding Heads To The Pile has been pushed back to the end of September.

Bassist Gronk! Commented that the album release date was pushed back because of touring duties. The band has since recorded vocals for the new album. The material is now heading for the mixing process.

Ft. Lauderdale, Florida-based metallers PREDATOR have begun pre-production of their third album under the title Thunder After Dark. The album will be produced by Damien Lee Thorr and engineered by Dave Linsk of OVERKILL.

Thunder After Dark will be released on God Of Thunder Records and distributed in Europe by Hellion records and in North America by MVD. No release date has been set, but expect the album to hit shelves in 2013.

I LEGION will release its debut album, "Beyond Darkness", in October. The CD will feature 13 tracks, produced and mixed by former MUTINY WITHIN singer Chris Clancy.

I LEGION is the musical work of Frederic Riverin, who shaped and wrote all the songs in fall 2011 at his home in Quebec. Helped by friend Clancy, he crafted these recordings into a melodic metal machine. Metal monsters Björn Strid (SOILWORK), Jon Howard (THREAT SIGNAL) and Chris himself took the vocal duties and put their melodies and talent over the 12 songs of the album. I LEGION also features modern guitar heroes Peter Wichers (SOILWORK), Angel Vivaldi, and Brandon Jacobs (MUTINY WITHIN) on the lead guitars for tasteful and melodic solos.

All these musicians helped Frederic to create his own album: alone, but with a legion behind him.

Bassist Mike D'Antonio of Massachusetts metallers KILLSWITCH ENGAGE told BostonGlobe.com that the band's split with Howard Jones was necessitated by the singer's struggle with personal issues, including diabetes that had gone untreated for several years. "It became very apparent we had to move on without him," D'Antonio said. "Howard didn't quit."

KILLSWITCH ENGAGE earlier in the year announced the return of Jesse Leach, who sang on the band's first self-titled album, which came out in 2000, and on their landmark 2002 Roadrunner debut "Alive Or Just Breathing". Leach left the band in 2002 and was replaced by Jones, but his work on "Alive Or Just Breathing" has always been revered by diehard, longtime KILLSWITCH ENGAGE fans.

"We heard Jesse was coming back in the band even before he said he wanted to be back in. He did eventually contact us, and said he was excited to come back," D'Antonio told BostonGlobe.com. "But there was this little management voice in the back of our heads saying, 'Make sure you make the right call on this.'"

KILLSWITCH ENGAGE is hard at work on material for the follow-up to 2009's second self-titled album. The new effort is tentatively scheduled for release in early 2013 via Roadrunner Records. Basic tracks for around 16 songs have been laid down, and vocal ideas for two songs have been recorded, with one of them, "No End In Sight", having recently leaked online.

"I didn't write much for KILLSWITCH [in the last couple of years] because I didn't know what was going to happen with the band," D'Antonio said. "But I did write with my old OVERCAST bandmate (current SHADOWS FALL singer Brian Fair) in our side band DEATH RAY VISION. That got me back to my roots of playing really aggressive music, and that aggression bled all over the stuff I started writing for KILLSWITCH."

The Baltimore, Maryland based industrial act Ego Likeness (the duo Steven Archer and Donna Lynch) have just released a brand new video and song, "Treacherous Thing". The video was directed by Kyle Cassidy and turns out to be a quite a visual lust object. At least, that is what we think.

"Treacherous Thing" is taken from the band's upcoming album "Know Thine Enemy", the follow-up to 2010's "Breedless", which was released via Metropolis. The single itself features remixes by: Stiff Valentine, Ludovico Technique, Cryogen Second, Exageist, Deathproof and More Machine than Man.

Night Of The Vinyl Dead have announced the release of SEPULTURA’s Dante XXI on Vinyl.

The release is limited to 500 hand numbered copies and includes a 12page booklet.

Dante XXI was previously released on CD only through SPV Records in 2006.
