According to WorldScreen.com, the 3D version of ALICE COOPER's "Halloween Night Of Fear" will be offered to broadcasters at MIPCOM from BBC Worldwide. The "Halloween Night Of Fear" will be filmed on October 29, with the set including classics such as "School's Out", as well as tracks from Cooper's new album. The two-hour mix will be available on October 30 for Halloween broadcasts.

Commented Salim Mukaddam, the VP of music television at BBC Worldwide: "Capturing music performances in 3D brings a whole new experience to the viewer and arguably benefits from the technology more than any other genre, allowing the viewer to really feel as if they were at the live event. For BBC Worldwide to be able to launch its 3D offering with titles of this caliber is truly fantastic."

The first-ever single released by Swedish extreme metallers SHINING, which was exclusively distributed in Sweden via Sweden Rock Magazine, was certified gold in the band's home country in August by the International Federation Of The Phonographic Industry for sales in excess of 10,000 copies. (Note: Each copy of the magazine containing the CD sold in Sweden was counted towards the certification; the single itself was **not** sold separately.)

The two-track CD single was released by Spinefarm Records and featured "Förtvivlan, Min Arvedel", taken from SHINING's new album, "VII / Född Förlorare", on the "A" side, while a previously unreleased cover of ALICE COOPER's "Prince Of Darkness" appeared on the "B" side.

Commented SHINING frontman and founder Niklas Kvarforth: "I never thought I would have a SHINING gold record hanging on my bathroom wall. I want thank all our past, present and future fans for helping us turn our world into a worse place to live, and pray for the day we will be able to infect other countries on such a big scale!"

SHINING will enter KING DIAMOND guitarist Andy La Rocque's Sonic Train Studios in Varberg, Sweden in January to begin work on the band's eighth album. SHINING mainman Niklas Kvarforth said, "I am a huge KING DIAMOND fan, and working with Andy was an opportunity I wasn't going to pass up. He will be attending some of our rehearsals and it will be interesting to see what his input will be to the almost finished album and to SHINING's particular sound. Whilst we're there, we also plan to record some covers for future release. As to the direction 'VIII' will take, well, for the time being let's just say that it will be blacker and more sinister than our previous releases."

SHINING's first-ever video can be seen below. The clip was directed by Martin Strandberg and Niklas Kvarforth, produced by Martin Strandberg and created by Black Shadows Filmproductions and Hill Fifty and uses the track "Förtvivlan, Min Arvedel" from the group's new album, "VII / Född Förlorare". It has been released in both censored and uncensored versions given the graphic nature of some of the scenes.

"The Unlucky Minority", the new video from the Swedish sleaze- and punk-influenced metal band SISTER, can be seen below. The clip was shot and edited by Jimmy Johansson of Super Lino Puro Productions.

Commented the band: "We filmed this video for 'The Unlucky Minority' in one evening without any major plans really but with a lot of sweat and beers instead! Keep it simple and keep the SISTER approach to it all. This video represents us and just like the album, we've captured the raw and dirty feeling in it. This is a straight rock 'n' roll video with no fucking around. Just pure SISTER. The video was shot and edited by independent film maker Jimmy Johansson, an 'old friend/drinking pal/roommate to the band' who has followed and hung out with the band since the beginning."

"The Unlucky Minority" comes off SISTER's new album, "Hated", which was released in Europe on June 6.

SISTER, which hails from the Stockholm/Jönkoping area of Sweden, formed in early 2006, working hard to build up a name as a strong act both live and in the studio.

SISTER consists of four members — Jamie on vocals, Lestat on guitars and backing vocals, Rikki on bass and backing vocals, and Cari on drums and backing vocals — who combine the sounds of punk, glam, rock, and metal with an end result sounding something like the bastard child of GG ALLIN and GUNS N' ROSES.

Veteran British female hard rockers GIRLSCHOOL recently re-recorded their classic 1981 album "Hit And Run" to celebrate the LP's 30th anniversary. "Hit And Run Revisited" is out now via Wacken Records as a digipack, LP and digital download.

"Hit And Run" was originally made available in March 1981, followed a short time later by a single featuring the title track. Both releases were very successful in the U.K., with the album reaching position No. 5 and the single No. 32 on their respective charts. The LP also charted in New Zealand and in Canada, where it went gold.

The U.S. version of "Hit And Run", which came out in 1982, featured a different track listing, including songs from GIRLSCHOOL's first album, "Demolition".

This Sunday (September 11) marks the 10th anniversary of the horrific terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon that brought down the Twin Towers, killed 3,000 people and forever changed both the future of the United States and the course of history. Legendary Swedish metallers SILVER MOUNTAIN had their September 4, 2010 reunion show at Friluftsteatern in in Malmö, Sweden filmed for DVD release. The concert featured five different lineups and was captured using five cameras and a 24-track unit. Formed in 1978, SILVER MOUNTAIN was initially an instrumental group based around the duo of bassist Pär Stadin and vocalist/guitarist Jonas Hansson. Among the band's earliest members were keyboard player Jens Johansson and his drummer brother Anders Johansson, both of whom would later join Yngwie Malmsteen.

According to MusicMight, SILVER MOUNTAIN's debut commercial release with the Johansson brothers came in the form of the track "She Needs" on the 1982 GS Music compilation "Skånsk Rock".

The brothers quit to join Yngwie Malmsteen after the "Shakin' Brains" album came out in 1984. There are bootlegs culled from jam sessions circulating from this period that feature the Johansson brothers, Yngwie Malmsteen and Per Stadin.

For 1985's "Universe" album SILVER MOUNTAIN added NORDEN LIGHT singer Christer Mentzer and re-recruited Martin Hedener on drums.

A SILVER MOUNTAIN reformation album, "Breakin' Chains", was issued by the Japanese Avalon Marquee label in 2001.

SILVER MOUNTAIN is now back together and will be available for any and all festival appearances. The band has already been confirmed to appear at next year's edition of the Headbangers Open Air festival, which will take place in Brande-Hörnerkirchen, Germany.

French metallers LONEWOLF are currently mixing their brand new studio album titled "Army Of The Damned" at the MP Studio (SABATON, MORTICIAN) in Poland. The CD was produced by Bart Gabriel (JACK STARR'S BURNING STARR, CRYSTAL VIPER), who previously worked with the band on 2009's "The Dark Crusade". Finnish metal marauders FINNTROLL will release a special tour edition of their last album, "Nifelvind", at the end of September. The digipak tour edition comes with new artwork by the band's guitarist, Skrymer, and an extra CD including three brand-new cover versions: "Insects" (OINGO BOINGO), "Can You Forgive Her?" (PET SHOP BOYS) and "The God That Failed" (METALLICA). The cover versions were recorded and mixed at Sonic Pump Studios between June 27 and July 4 by FINNTROLL and Nino Laurenne.

"Nifelvind" was released in North America on March 9, 2010 via Century Media Records.

Brazilian death metallers KRISIUN will release their new album, "The Great Execution", on October 31 in Europe and November 1 in North America via Century Media Records. The band's eighth studio CD "musically expands KRISIUN trademark high-speed death metal violence with a heavily increased amount of diversity ranging from extreme tempo variations over distinct rhythm patterns to clean guitars and even Flamenco parts!" according to a press release.

KRISIUN only used analog gear and instruments this time to avoid the compressed sound that so many musicians produce today. This wise decision resulted in a more organic sound, with the songs on "The Great Execution" possessing both warmth and rawness, which are so often lost through digital production. The low end is deeper, with drums that pound instead of bounce and guitar tones that sear rather than hiss.

"With our new record we managed to capture the sound and the vibe that we were always looking for," says KRISIUN vocalist/bassist Alex Camargo.

Going back to Stage One Studio in Germany and working with producer Andy Classen again was the right choice: the album came out with a very distinctive and natural sound, shattering the boundaries of the style once more.

The cover artwork was created by Japanese artist Toshihiro Egawa who has been doing tons of great designs for acts like SUICIDE SILENCE, HEAVEN SHALL BURN, DEVOURMENT and DYING FETUS, among others.

Italian masters of thunderous psychedelic doom UFOMAMMUT have inked a deal with Neurot Recordings for the release of their next album. According to a press release, the band's last CD, "Eve", "was met with great critical acclaim worldwide, and judging by the studio updates we are receiving, their next opus will be even more epic in its proportions and probably their heaviest and most cacophonous record to date."

Neurot owner Steve Von Till had this to say about the signing: "Welcome UFOMAMMUT to the Neurot family.

California melodic death metallers DREAMING DEAD are putting the finishing touches on their new full-length album for a fall release. The follow-up to 2009's "Within One" (Ibex Moon) will include the song "Midnightmares", a demo version of which can be streamed on the band's Facebook page("Like" required).

Fronted and founded by Elizabeth Schall, DREAMING DEAD released its first recording, "Through The Eyes Of Insanity", in 2006 under the group's previous moniker, MANSLAUGHTER. Influenced by the likes of DEATH, SLAYER, CRYPTOPSY and OPETH, the CD received stellar reviews, leaving listeners aching for more of the band's blackened, death-thrash attack. "Within On" was met with similar accolades.
