GLAMOUR OF THE KILL: 'Savages' Cover Artwork, Track Listing Revealed
 English rockers GLAMOUR OF THE KILL will release their new album, "Savages", on September 24 in the U.S. through eOne Music, September 20 in Germany and September 23 in the rest of Europe through SPV.
Produced by Joey Sturgis (ASKING ALEXANDRIA), this is the first batch of new material we've seen from GLAMOUR OF THE KILL since the release of "The Summoning", which came out in 2011.
The new CD's first single, "Break", which features a guest appearance by VAMPIRES EVERYWHERE! lead singer Michael Vampire, can be streamed below.

GLAMOUR OF THE KILL has been generating buzz ever since its debut EP, "Through The Dark They March", came out in 2007. The success of the EP led to tours with BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, DRAGONFORCE, AVENGED SEVENFOLD and most notably a performance on the main stage of Download festival in 2008.

FIREWIND: Pro-Shot Footage Of Entire BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR Performance
 Professionally filmed video footage of FIREWIND's entire August 9 performance at the Bloodstock Open Air festival at Catton Hall, Walton-On-Trent, West Midlands, United Kingdom can be seen below.
FIREWIND celebrated its 10th anniversary by releasing a live album on June 24 via Century Media Records in Europe. Entitled "Apotheosis - Live 2012", the CD contains 17 songs recorded at special anniversary shows in Greece as well as all over Europe during the band's "Few Against Many" tour in 2012. With a playing time of 69 minutes, the effort is a great overview of the band's career so far, which consists of seven studio albums. It also marks FIREWIND's final release with singer Apollo Papathanasio, who decided to leave the group at the end of last year. He has since been replaced by Kelly Sundown Carpenter (ADAGIO, BEYOND TWILIGHT) as session frontman for all 2013 live activities.
The cover artwork for "Apotheosis - Live 2012", which was released as a digipak in its first limited-edition pressing, was designed by FIREWIND's longtime partner in all design matters, Gustavo Sazes (ARCH ENEMY, ANGRA, DREAM EVIL) based on live photography by Hans-W. Rock.
In a recent interview with Metal Assault, FIREWIND guitarist/mainman Gus G. stated about Apollo's departure: "People following the band for the past few years would know that we've had different session guys at the live shows even when Apollo was in the band because he just had to skip a few tours during the year. So whenever the schedule was getting too heavy for him and he would have to take care of stuff back home, we had to get other guys. So this time, he had to skip again and he was like, 'You know, instead of holding you guys back, I might as well just quit.' I think he did the right thing for him, for us as well, because we can only do that [getting session vocalists] so many times and we're better off trying to find a new permanent guy instead of getting replacements for a tour. So at least now we know that we have to find somebody new, and in a sense it's a bit sad, but at the same time it's some sort of relief."
Asked how Carpenter is doing as the touring replacement for Papathanasio, Gus told Metal Shock Finland: "He's fantastic, this guy. Everybody who sees him perform live, their jaws are dropped immediately. They're, like, 'Wow!' It's amazing what this guy can do with his voice. And he's such a nice guy, too. I mean, we started out with Kelly, 'cause we didn't know him. And he really nailed it on the songs, he killed it. We hired the guy to go out with us and do the U.S. tour and the festivals, not really committing to further plans. We kind of take it day by day and see how it works between us, and so far it's been really good. Right now, there are no plans for us to go back in the studio very quickly, so we'll see when the time comes what will happen. But so far so good with Kelly. I hope it will continue."
FIREWIND's latest album, "Few Against Many", entered the official chart in Greece at No. 42 and in Germany at No. 90. Released in Europe on May 21, 2012 via Century Media Records and in North America on May 22 through DisManic, Inc. via eOne Distribution, the CD was mixed by Jason Suecof and Eyal Levi at Audiohammer Studios (TRIVIUM, ALL THAT REMAINS, DEATH ANGEL) in Sanford, Florida.

CHANNEL ZERO Drummer Dead At 45
 Drummer Phil Baheux of reunited Belgian metallers CHANNEL ZERO passed away earlier today (Saturday, August 10) at the age of 45. His bandmates say in a statement: "[Phil's] unexpected death is a tremendous shock to his fellow band members of CHANNEL ZERO and crew. We kindly ask you to respect our and his family's privacy."
"I cannot comment on the exact cause of death, but 45 years is obviously still very young," Billy Torney of CHANNEL ZERO's record label, CNR Records, tells HLN.be.
"Phil Baheux was a founding member of CHANNEL ZERO. He formed the group in 1990, along with singer Franky De Smet-Van Damme and bassist Tino De Martino. In 2010, they reformed the band with the addition of American guitarist Mikey Doling [SNOT, SOULFLY]. They were busy recording a new album [at the time of Phil's death]. That, of course, is now suspended."
CHANNEL ZERO's latest album, "Feed 'Em With A Brick", received a wider European release in June 2012 via Graviton Music Services. The CD, which was originally made available in June 2011 in Belgium, Holland and Luxembourg through Roadrunner Records, was recorded at a Los Angeles-area studio with producer Logan Mader (MACHINE HEAD, SOULFLY, CAVALERA CONSPIRACY, DEVILDRIVER, GOJIRA).

VOIVOD: Pro-Shot Footage Of Entire BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR Performance
 Professionally filmed video footage of VOIVOD's entire August 9 performance at the Bloodstock Open Air festival at Catton Hall, Walton-On-Trent, West Midlands, United Kingdom can be seen below.
VOIVOD's new album, "Target Earth", sold around 1,500 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD was issued on January 22 via the band's own company, Iron Gang Factory, and Century Media.
VOIVOD's previous album, "Infini", opened with around 840 units back in July 2009.
"Target Earth" was recorded in early 2012 at Pierre Rémillard's (OBLIVEON, CRYPTOPSY, KRISIUN, MISERY INDEX) Wild Studio in a small town called St-Zénon in Quebec, Canada and was mixed by Sanford Parker (PELICAN, NACHTMYSTIUM). The follow-up to 2009's "Infini" contains the band's first music to be written with guitarist Dan Mongrain (MARTYR) following the passing of original axeman Denis "Piggy" D'Amour in 2005. The original art was once again drawn by drummer Michel "Away" Langevin and features color schemes from each one of the band's previous albums.

MEGADETH Records Acoustic Set At SiriusXM Studios In New York City
 MEGADETH recorded a five-song acoustic set on Thursday (August 8) for SiriusXM radio in New York City. The band played "Symphony Of Destruction", "She-Wolf", "Kingmaker", "Foreclosure Of A Dream" and "Countdown To Extinction" for SiriusXM's rock channels Liquid Metal, Octane and Ozzy's Boneyard. SiriusXM director of programming and on-air host Jose Mangin interviewed MEGADETH for Liquid Metal and recorded a Liquid Metal takeover.
After the band finished the acoustic set, Mangin picked up MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine's Dean Mako acoustic guitar to play "Holy Wars" along with the band; with a smile on his face, Dave then taught him how to play it correctly. Towards the end of the interview, Mustaine presented his Dean Mako to Jose as a parting gift.

MEGADETH's latest album, "Super Collider", has sold 60,000 copies in the United States since its June 4 release. The CD arrived in stores via MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine's new label, Tradecraft, distributed by Universal Music Enterprises (UMe). It marks MEGADETH's first release since the band's split with Roadrunner Records.

KORN: New Single 'Never Never' Available For Streaming
 KORN's new single, "Never Never", can be streamed on the band's Facebook page ("like" required). The song comes off KORN's 11th studio album, "The Paradigm Shift", which will be released on October 8 via Prospect Park. The follow-up to 2011's "The Path Of Totality" features the return of guitarist Brian "Head" Welch to the lineup after more than eight years away. His last album with the band was 2003's "Take A Look In The Mirror".
Beginning Tuesday, August 13, fans will be able to pre-order "The Paradigm Shift" and purchase "Never Never". The effort will be available in standard and deluxe editions, with the deluxe showcasing two bonus tracks and a documentary DVD titled "Reconciliation".
"Never Never" features slow hulking beat stomps into screeching electronics before bleeding out on a bouncy chorus evocative of the swooping prowess of "Got the Life" and "Freak On A Leash". "It was an amazing night when we finished that song," says frontman Jonathan Davis. "It's a relationship song. You go through that shit and you get hurt so bad. Then you think, 'It's not worth it anymore. I'm not going to fucking love again.' You experience so many pressures to be a good dad, a good husband, a good lover, or whatever. Being in a relationship is a lot of work."
Other songs on the new set, which was recorded with producer Don Gilmore (LINKIN PARK, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, LACUNA COIL) at Buck Owens' studio in KORN's original hometown Bakersfield and at Los Angeles's famed NRG Recording Studios, include "Prey For Me", "Love & Meth", "Spike In My Veins", "Mass Hysteria", "Paranoid And Aroused" and "Victimized".

ARSIS: 'Scornstar' Video Released
 "Scornstar", the new video from Virginia-based melodic tech-death metal masters ARSIS, can be seen below. The clip was directed by Scott Hansen, who has previously worked with UNEARTH, CARNIFEX and AS BLOOD RUNS BLACK, among others.
"When you film a metal video, and the special effects artists are actually excited about the amount of carnage, you know you've done it correctly," commented Hansen.
Added special FX guru Ryan Moore: "After recruiting a team of special-effects artists, including myself, David 'Bull' Watson, and Rebecca Tilner, 100 cutthroat ARSIS fans, we were ready to roll... well, almost. We still had to make 75 gallons of blood, acquire 15 lbs. of raw meat, air tanks to propel the bloody goodness everywhere, $500 bucks worth of FX supplies, and some 'homemade' explosives... THEN we were ready for destruction.
"The video is really unlike anything out, really. It's an homage to good old-fashioned '80s horror movie gore meets 'Heavy Metal Parking Lot'. Everyone had a blast, got trashed, and saturated in blood. The fans were total troopers, as expected; but even then I have to admit I was impressed with their eagerness to take part in some of the 'stunts.'
"This is definitely one of the must-see music videos of 2013 and will open a lot of eyes that a death metal video can be brutal, entertaining, and fun all at once."
The follow-up to 2010's "Starve For The Devil", "Unwelcome" was tracked at Audiohammer Studios in Sanford, Florida with producer Mark Lewis (THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, WHITECHAPEL, DEVILDRIVER, DEICIDE, SIX FEET UNDER). The artwork was handled once again by longtime collaborator Mark Riddick.

SOIL: 'Amalgamation' Lyric Video Released
 The official lyric video for the song "Amalgamation" from Chicago heavy rockers SOIL can be seen below. The track comes off the band's sixth studio album, "Whole", which will be released on August 20 via Pavement Entertainment. It's the band's first 100% independent release.
"We wanted to call all the shots on this album and, for the first time ever, hold our future in our own hands," explains bassist Tim King.
"Whole" is the first SOIL album with original frontman Ryan McCombs since 2004's "Re.De.Fine" (after which he joined DROWNING POOL). It sees SOIL returning to its classic sound that fans have come to admire, with a pres release calling it the CD "that could have come directly after the 'Scars' album in 2001."
Following the 2012 release of its first-ever live DVD, "Re-LIVE-ing The Scars", SOIL began writing new material and entered the studio in February 2013 with producer Ulrich Wild (PANTERA, BREAKING BENJAMIN) to begin recording.
"This was by far the most comfortable and natural recording process we have ever experienced," says guitarist Adam Zadel. "From the writing, pre-production, and through the main tracking and mixing, everything was smooth and fluid."
Other songs featured on "Whole" include "The Hate Song", "Loaded Gun" and "Way Gone". Another track, "Amalgamation", sees McCombs taking songtitles from both the SOIL and DROWNING POOL releases he was a part of and weaving them into verses of the song.
"I think, lyrically speaking, those that are familiar with the work I've done are going to get the next chapter that they would expect," McCombs says about the lyrical process. "Words from a heart and mind that has lived them.
"One of the greatest things I experience as a lyricist is when people come up and share with me how a song, or a specific verse or line from a song, got them through a hard time or times in their lives. It reminds me of the times music did that for me and how powerful music and/or a lyric can be in a person's life."
Drums and percussion on "Whole" were performed by Will Hunt (BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, EVANESCENCE, DEVICE).
"Will added a whole new dimension to the songs," states King. "He added a monstrous and aggressive vibe to the album."
A guest guitar solo on "Wake Up" was performed by longtime friend Mike Mushok of the band STAIND.

BLACK LABEL SOCIETY's Cover Of 'Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone' Available For Streaming
 BLACK LABEL SOCIETY has debuted the brand new single, "Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone", off the band's new live DVD, Blu-ray, and Digital Video, "Unblackened", due out next month. Originally penned by blues legend Bill Withers, "Aint No Sunshine When She's Gone" is one of two covers found on "Ublackened".
Says BLACK LABEL SOCIETY frontman Zakk Wylde: "'Ain't No Sunshine' is such a beautiful, heartfelt song. I've always loved it and wanted to cover it. It felt so right in the context of 'Unblackened'."
"Unblackened" will be released on September 24 by Eagle Rock Entertainment. Zakk's label home, eOne Music, will also release the audio version of the "Unblackened" DVD under the same name. The double disc release will have six additional tracks not found on the DVD, including two acoustic versions of "Queen Of Sorrow" and "Won't Find It Here", and covers of LEON RUSSELL's "Song For You" and "Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone".
Since their early Nineties inception, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, formed and helmed by guitar legend Zakk Wylde, has been at the forefront of hard rock. Their penchant for hard riffs and blazing solos has resulted in a slew of hugely successful albums and a reputation as one of the most powerful live bands of their generation. "Unblackened", however, unveils another side of the band.
Filmed and recorded on March 6 in high definition at Los Angeles' Club Nokia, "Unblackened" is BLACK LABEL SOCIETY presenting their songs in a whole new light, with greater use of acoustic instrumentation. Wylde plays both guitar and piano, with Nick Catanase on guitar, John DeServio on bass/vocals, Chad Szeliga on drums, Derek Sherinian on keyboards/piano, and Greg Locascio providing additional vocals.
Their stripped-down approach highlights the subtler nuances of the songwriting, without losing any of the fire or intensity. Classic tracks like "Stillborn", "The Blessed Hellride", "In This River", "Throwin' It All Away", "Losin' Your Mind" and many others are still punctuated by the stinging, searing solos that fans know and love, while showcasing the versatility of the band.
In addition to the concert, "Unblackened" is rich in bonus material. A new interview with Zakk, photo gallery, music video for "Losin' Your Mind", and a feature with Wylde visiting HM Prison Stocken in the U.K . are all included.

THE COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF: 'Evolution' Video Released
 "Evolution", the new video from the Norwegian seven-string guitarist/singer/songwriter The Commander-In-Chief (real name: Berit Hagen), can be seen below. The song is the title track of The Commander-In-Chief's debut EP, which was released digitally in February 2012 via Commander Records/The Commander-In-Chief Ltd. The disc was produced by Sterling Winfield (PANTERA, HATEBREED, HELLYEAH).
In a 2012 interview with Metal Discovery, The Commander-In-Chief stated about her collaboration with Sterling: "It was funny because when I went into the recording studio [with Sterling], I was wondering how the guitar solos were going to be… I wasn't a hundred percent sure if these guitar solos were good enough. It was funny because Sterling, he would be tweaking the rig and I was playing all these rhythm things, and every time he walked out I was doing all these lead things and every time he came in, I would stop. Because I was thinking, that's the one thing that I was a bit like…because he's worked with Dimebag Darrell, you know! He's one of my favorite guitar players and I was wondering, hmmm, is this good enough? He really liked it and when I started improvising, he liked that even more. So it really boosted my confidence in my lead guitar playing because lead guitar is the thing I've been doing the least. I've been a songwriter for the longest."

KREATOR: Third 'Dying Alive' Trailer Released; German Theatrical Premiere Announced
 The third trailer for "Dying Alive", the new concert DVD/Blu-ray from German thrash metal veterans KREATOR, can be seen below. Due on August 30 via Nuclear Blast, the set features the band's sold-out homecoming show in Oberhausen, Germany on December 22, 2012 after an extensive 45-day European tour in support of KREATOR's "Phantom Antichrist" album. The packed and sweat-driven show was filmed by 24 cameras, as well as guitar and even mosh-pit cams.
The DVD/Blu-ray contains footage of the Oberhausen concert, a behind-the-scenes documentary as well as video clips. Approximate total running time: 115 minutes.
The exclusive theatrical premiere of "Dying Alive" will take place on August 29 at the renowned theater Lichtburg in KREATOR's hometown of Essen, Germany starting at 8 p.m. CET. KREATOR mainman Mille Petrozza will be present at the event and will be available for a question-and-answer session after the screening. A signing session is planned as well. KREATOR will tour North America this fall with fellow thrashers OVERKILL.
On November 9, 2012, KREATOR released a new seven-inch single, "Civilization Collapse" (retail version: black; Nuclear Blast mailorder-only version: red, yellow, white) and as a digital download. The single contains the title cut backed by the non-album track "Wolfchild", which was featured on the "Dark Symphonies - A Tribute To John Sinclair" album, released in September 2012 in Germany via Lübbe-Audio. The band also made a video for the song "Civilization Collapse", which is said to be "mainly about the riots that took place in Greece most recently."
"Civilization Collapse" comes off KREATOR's new album, "Phantom Antichrist", which sold 3,900 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at No. 1 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

BLACK SABBATH To Be Honored As 'Living Legends' At 'Classic Rock Roll Of Honour'
 British heavy metal pioneers BLACK SABBATH will be honored as Living Legends at the ninth annual Classic Rock Roll Of Honour, set to take place on Tuesday, November 14 at London, England's Roundhouse.
Commented SABBATH singer Ozzy Osbourne: "It's good to be a living legend. It's better than being a dead one."
Past winners of the Living Legend award include ZZ TOP, Jeff Beck, Alice Cooper, Jimmy Page, Lemmy and Iggy Pop. This year Ozzy Osbourne picks up his second title — he won as a solo artist in 2008 — alongside his bandmates.

SAVN Completes Recording Debut Album
 SAVN, the Norwegian gothic/folk metal band featuring MIDNATTSOL singer Carmen Elise Espenaes (the younger sister of LEAVES' EYES singer Liv Kristine) and two members of THE SINS OF THY BELOVED, Stig Johansen and Anders Thue — has completed recording its debut album at Mastersound Studio in Germany for a late 2013 release via CDR Records. The CD will feature a guest appearance by Liv Kristine.
MIDNATTSOL's latest CD, "The Metamorphosis Melody", was released in April 2011 via Napalm Records. The CD was recorded at Studio E (THE VISION BLEAK, LACRIMAS PROFUNDERE, SECRETS OF THE MOON) with producer Markus Stock.

SKID ROW: 'This Is Killing Me' Lyric Video Released
 The official lyric video for the song "This Is Killing Me" from SKID ROW can be seen below. The track comes off the band's latest EP, "United World Rebellion - Chapter One", which was released in Europe on May 24 via Germany's UDR Music. The European version of the EP includes two bonus tracks, both of them cover tunes: "Fire Fire" (EZO) and "United" (JUDAS PRIEST).

After issuing its first five-track EP in 2012, the KING FEAR members went separate ways while singer Nachtgarm toured the world performing with NEGATOR and DARK FUNERAL, main composer Mål Dæth moved to the Austrian wilderness to create new music. Once winter struck again, the band gathered with their drummer BoneInn (ex-EISENVATER) in their hometown of Hamburg to start working on what was to become their first full-length album.
Inspired by the history of mountaineering, KING FEAR has created a full-length concept albumbased on the "conquest of the useless" — mankind's possessive desire of reaching the highest mountain peaks.
Driven by the realization of how well these old tales of desire, passion, myth, ancient belief and frigid heights fit the KING FEAR version of black metal, they decided to call it "Frostbite".
Musically, "Frostbite" is rooted in straight-forward black metal with a slap of black'n'roll. Great artists such as SATYRICON, KHOLD, SHINING (Sweden), CELTIC FROST and even ENTOMBED and TIAMAT have proven before: The fastest band is not necessarily the darkest band.

Singer VINTERSORG To Sit Out BORKNAGAR's BRUTAL ASSAULT Appearance; ATHERA To Step In
 A short video clip of Norwegian/Swedish avantgarde metallers BORKNAGAR rehearsing for their August 10 appearance at the Brutal Assault festival in the Czech Republic can be seen below. Filling in for BORKNAGAR singer Andreas "Vintersorg" Hedlund at the show will be Pål Mathiesen (a.k.a. Athera) of SUSPERIA and CHROME DIVISION.
Comments Vintersorg: "A huge thank you to Athera for stepping in for me at Brutal Assault! I have been prevented from going due to work-related issues, but I wish all the best to the guys on Saturday! This is, of course, not a sign of me leaving the band (I'm already working on the vocal lines for new songs) and the ship of BORKNAGAR will set sails even if one member is out."
BORKNAGAR's latesst album, "Urd", was released March 27, 2012 in North America via Century Media Records. The CD was recorded with Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios (OPETH, PARADISE LOST, KATATONIA) in Örebro, Sweden.
The "Urd" artwork was designed by Brazilian artist Marcelo Vasco, who has not only already worked on BORKNAGAR's previous "Universal" release but also with artists such as SOULFLY, BELPHEGOR, EINHERJER and KEEP OF KALESSIN.
Drums and percussion on "Urd" were performed by David Kinkade (SOULFLY, ex-MALEVOLENT CREATION).

SEBASTIAN BACH Back In The Studio Working On New Album
 Former SKID ROW frontman Sebastian Bach is currently in the studio working on his next album with producer Bob Marlette (BLACK SABBATH, ALICE COOPER), who helmed the singer's last solo CD, 2011's "Kicking & Screaming".
Comments Bach: "Today we are back in the studio crafting riffs and working on melody lines. Bob Marlette is working his magic and helping me out with the upcoming opus of epic-ness. Expect high-energy music.... perfect for driving quickly, or jack-hammering concrete. Working on lyrics... but don't want to beat you over the head with sobriety, or ex-wives, or ex-bandmembers, or any of the other constant bullshit that I seem to be personally dealing with. So I am choosing my words carefully... because this music is straight-up, balls-to-the-wall, kick-you-in-the-nuts rock 'n' roll. And I need the words to reflect that."
Bach's next solo CD, which is tentatively due in early 2014 via Frontiers Records, is expected to feature contributions from Steve Stevens (BILLY IDOL) and Los Angeles-based guitarist Jeff George, who previously played with ASKING ALEXANDRIA's lead vocalist Danny Worsnop. Making a guest appearance on the album will also be bassist Duff McKagan (DUFF MCKAGAN'S LOADED, VELVET REVOLVER, GUNS N' ROSES).
Bach's brand new CD/DVD package, "ABachalypse Now", was released in North America on March 26 via Frontiers Records. The "ABachalypse Now" Ultimate CD/DVD Edition includes never-before-seen footage from last year's Graspop Metal Meeting festival in Dessel, Belgium, the full never-before-seen Hellfest set from France and the fully-remixed and remastered Nokia show from Los Angeles (originally broadcast on AXS TV), as well as bonus music videos. The DVD contains a running time of nearly 160 minutes. "ABachalypse Now" was made available in two configurations: the Ultimate CD/DVD Edition (2 CDs + DVD) and a standalone DVD.

AC ANGRY Signs With Dust On The Tracks Records
 Right now the AC ANGRY rock 'n’ roll express is running at full speed across Germany. After their more than awesome European tour with SAXON they are now sharing the stage with ANVIL and in October they will tour across Germany with OHRENFEINDT. BEYOND THE SHORE Announce New Drummer
 Lexington, KY's BEYOND THE SHORE, who recently returned from The Blackest Hearts Tour where they played direct support to BERMUDA, has announced Jonathon Pugh as their new full-time drummer. Jonathan joined Beyond The Shore on the road for The Blackest Hearts Tour where he delivered a commanding performance at each stop of the 18 date tour, and proved he was not only a perfect fit for the band stylistically, but also gel'd well with all the band members. The 22-year-old drummer from Shelby, NC previously played for the band LIONS OF WINTER.
"All of us in Beyond The Shore are very excited to announce that we've brought in Jonathon Pugh to be our new full-time drummer. We all met him in North Carolina while recording our current release Ghostwatcher, and had stayed in touch since. We couldn't be happier to have him sitting behind the kit for us. Jonathan's a very talented drummer, but more importantly he fits well with us as dudes and that's invaluable when making music and touring together," comments the band.

LINE OF FIRE Announce New Drummer
 After an exhaustive seven-month search, LINE OF FIRE have announced the addition of new drummer Brent "Wildman" Enman. Along with his impressive skills behind the kit, Brent also brings years of stage and studio experience to Line Of Fire and will no doubt be the band's secret weapon.
In addition to their 2013 appearances at MelodicRock Fest 3 and Rock Harvest 2, the band is planning many more live appearances throughout 2014 as well as beginning work on their third album and follow up to 2010's Momentum release on Tribunal Records. The band released their self-titled debut in 2005.

THOUGHT CHAMBER Unveil Artwork For Upcoming Psykerion Album
 Progressive metallers THOUGHT CHAMBER are back with a new release, following up on their debut album, Angular Perceptions, from 2007. The US based group named their second album Psykerion, and it will be released on September 16th in Europe and on October 1st in North America via InsideOutMusic.
Next to guitarist and composer Michael Harris as well as vocalist Ted Leonard (also in ENCHANT, SPOCK'S BEARD and AFFECTOR), Thought Chamber's ranks of skilled players now also feature Bill Jenkins (also in Enchant) on keyboards, Jeff Plant on bass and Mike Haid on drums.
Thought Chamber mastermind Michael Harris checked in to comment about the new album: "We're all very excited about finally releasing Psykerion! A lot of changes have occurred in the band since our first record. Beyond Ted and I, we now have Mike Haid on drums, Jeff Plant on bass and Bill Jenkins on keyboards, who all did a stellar job and are all great guys on top of that, so our chemistry is perfect. Psykerion is a concept record - a sci-fi human drama - musically yielding everything from prog-metal to jazz-fusion to acoustic."
Psykerion contains 16 tracks / 64 minutes of superb true progressive metal with a technical sci-fi twist, likely to appeal to fans of DREAM THEATER, YES, RUSH and PLANET X. The album's cover artwork (above) was designed by John E. Holland / MistyMountainGraphics.com. The album was recorded in various locations between 2012 and 2013 and finally mixed and mastered by Tom Size (Y&T, AEROSMITH, MR. BIG, Enchant) at Tomland Studios, Pacheco, CA.

Brooklyn's TIDAL ARMS To Release New Album This Fall; Teaser Video Posted
 Brookyn-based dream metal trio TIDAL ARMS is set to release their self-titled sophomore album thisfFall. The ethereal, ten track offering was self-produced and mixed by guitarist/vocalist Tom Tierney and Alex Mead-Fox at the band's own Spaceman Sound in Greenpoint, and was mastered by renowned engineer Alan Douches (CONVERGE, TORCHE, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, etc.) at West West Side Music.
The follow-up to 2011’s The Sun Exploding full-length finds Tidal Arms comfortable within their eclectic soundspace integrating various elements of post-hardcore, noise rock and doom into their heaviest, most psychedelic creation to date.

DORO Launches 30th Anniversary At Wacken Open Air; Crowning Highlight To Be Two Shows In Düsseldorf
 In 2013/2014, metal queen DORO celebrates her 30th anniversary with special shows all around the world. The phenomenal kick-off took place last Friday at Wacken Open Air 2013, where 80,000 fans gave Doro an overwhelming welcome and international stars of the genre like MOTÖRHEAD, Biff Byford (SAXON), Eric Fish (SUBWAY TO SALLY), Uli Jon Roth (ex-SCORPIONS) and Chris Boltendahl (GRAVE DIGGER) payed their honours to Doro on stage.
"I want to celebrate this big anniversary all year long with my fans around the world“, Doro, who will start an enxtended European Tour with her band from October onwards, explains. "We are in the midst of planning special shows in London, Paris and New York."
The crowning highlight of the tour is already set, and was officially announced at a huge press conference at Wacken Open Air in front of countless international press officials. Dor will celebrate in her hometown, Düsseldorf, two nights in a row.
"We are playing two anniversary shows, on May 2nd and 3rd“, Doro announces. "The first night will be classic with an orchestra – as the fans got to know and love it ten years ago through the Classic Diamonds Tour. And the second night there will be a full-power rock show with all highlights from 30 years of Doro and several special guests, who accompanied me over the course of my career.”
One of those stars will be BLIND GUARDIAN singer Hansi Kürsch.
Doro continues: "The venue will also be very special for those shows, first time ever we get to play at the town hall of CCD Düsseldorf, because it fits the 30th anniversary project perfectly.”

TURBO To Release New Album This Fall
 The legend of the Polish hard and heavy scene – TURBO, plans to release a brand new studio album this autumn. As the band members announce, we can expect solid heavy metal without any unnecessary intricacies. It will be the first release since their 2009 album Stra?nik ?wiat?a. The release date of the as yet untitled album is scheduled for November.
Wojciech Hoffmann (guitars) comments: “We do not want to concentrate on novelties as we can see during our gigs that the fans expect us to play older tracks, they do not like changes. We also feel very comfortable playing the music of our youth. That’s why we plan to stick to classic heavy metal.”
Turbo will enter the recording studio on September 15th at the latest. Hoffmann: “We want to record the album in one go – we enter the studio at the same time, record all instruments at the same time, and then we make any necessary corrections, add guitar solos and vocals. Perhaps we will manage to record the core of the album in just one day! We start rehearsing tomorrow and we plan to work till we die! We want the music to be full of all our emotions, and this is possible when a band plays together, at the same time – this good vibe is missing when an album is recorded separately by the musicians."

SIOS Release Video ‘The Garden Of Shades’
 New Jersey's progressive metal band, SIOS, have announced the release of their music video ‘The Garden of Shades’, a single from their debut album Halcyon Failure. The music video was filmed and edited by Christian Cruz at Soul Takers Motorcycle Club in New Jersey, where Sios will be performing their final summer concert before they embark on a tour with 3 this fall.
Halcyon Failure was engineered and produced by Kevin Antressian, who has worked with THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, FOXY SHAZAM, drummer Chris Pennie (COHEED AND CAMBRIA, The Dillinger Escape Plan) and MIKE PORTNOY.
