JASTA Releases Video For 'Parasitic'
HATEBREED frontman Jamey Jasta has released the video the song "Parasitic" from his second solo effort, "The Lost Chapters". The footage is largely taken from the JASTA & FRIENDS 2018 tour and features Howard Jones (ex-KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, LIGHT THE TORCH), Dino Cazares (FEAR FACTORY) and Kirk Windstein (CROWBAR). The clip represents the spirit of collaboration that he is known for.
"We're in a great time for heavy music right now and I've been fortunate to work with so many talented and creative people," says Jasta. "This is just the beginning of many more audio and visual collaborations to come. From releasing JASTA 'The Lost Chapters' album in 2017 to working with Dee Snider on 'For The Love Of Metal' in 2018, and now having just released 'The Lost Chapters, Vol. 2' in 2019, I'm excited to release new HATEBREED music in 2020 and keep learning and growing as a musician, podcaster, producer, and content creator."
Released in December, "The Lost Chapters - Volume 2" marked the first all-new music from Jasta since the release of HATEBREED's most recent album, "The Concrete Confessional", which spawned the band's biggest streaming hit to date, "Looking Down The Barrel of Today". Moreover, this new body of work stands as a unique release for the genre, given the entirely collaborative nature of guest vocalists and musicians that rotate throughout every song.
As Jasta explains: "It was overdue for another solo release since the last one had come out in 2017. The timing for new music is perfect. It was important to me for this new collection to have the compilation feel of the first one while maintaining its catchiness and dynamics." | +6

Today, they launch the second clip from the live release. You can watch the band performing "Dark Melody" (Live in Brno 2019), below:
Neal Morse, Mike Portnoy, Randy George, Bill Hubauer & Eric Gillette, released their latest album, The Great Adventure, at the beginning of 2019. The Great Adventour - Live in BRNO 2019 documents these shows, which saw them performing the album in full, and closing with the renowned "The Great Medley", featuring tracks from across Neal’s solo career and each Neal Morse Band album.

"Welcome To The World" (Live in Brno 2019) video:
As Randy George explains: “After the Similitude tour, expectations were really high, and we had more people coming to these shows than ever before. People were really excited to see it, so we had to make sure that we delivered.”
Performing The Great Adventure flawlessly and in its entirety 47 times in 2019, Neal Morse (vocals, keyboards and guitars), Mike Portnoy (drums, vocals and audience cheerleading), Randy George (bass), Bill Hubauer (keyboards and vocals) and Eric Gillette (guitars and vocals) brought audiences to their feet night after exhilarating night: “The tour delivered every night. We never got tired of playing it, and it always paid off”, says George.
One of the countries was the Czech Republic, and it was there in Brno that the band chose to film The Great Adventour 2019 - Live In Brno, the definitive record of the tour, as George explains: “This was our first time playing in the Czech Republic and this venue had a different look and vibe: the audience also turned out to be very energetic. They loved it!”
The Great Adventour 2019 - Live In Brno shows The Neal Morse Band at the very height of their powers: extraordinary, passionate, intense and intricate rock music played to perfection by five masters of their craft, backed by dramatic video illustrations by Christian Rios.

STYX Drummer TODD SUCHERMAN To Release 'Last Flight Home' Solo Album
STYX drummer Todd Sucherman will release a solo album called "Last Flight Home" in May or June.
Sucherman, who took over drumming duties in STYX a year before the death of John Panozzo in 1996, announced the completion of his solo record in a video message earlier today (Wednesday, January 22).
Regarding the musical direction of "Last Flight Home", Sucherman said: "I think most people would expect some sort of drum-centric record or some fusion record, but it's not. It's a vocal record — songs, melodies, stories; it's what I love the most about music. I've always been kind of terrified of the whole singing thing, so that's kind of how I felt that I might be in the right place here. I really wasn't sure that I could pull it off, but I wanted to try to attempt something that I didn't know that I could do with music that I'm extremely proud of."
He continued: "I can already hear the Internet choruses of, 'Hey, Sucherman, what do you think, you're a big singing star now? Why don't you shut up and sit down and play the drums?'
"I have no ambitions of being a big singing star, and there's plenty of drumming on this record — song-supportive drumming; my favorite kind of drumming," he explained. "So I hope you'll listen without prejudice when it comes out."
Sucherman joined STYX as a full-time member after Panozzo died of cirrhosis.
STYX's latest album, 2017's "The Mission", was met with praise from fans. Its arrival ended a 14-year run without an LP of new original material from the veteran band. | 0

DON DOKKEN's 'Solitary' Solo Album To Be Reissued With Three Bonus Tracks
DOKKEN vocalist Don Dokken's "Solitary" solo album will be reissued on January 31 via Deadline Music, a division of Cleopatra Records, Inc. The new version of the disc will contain three bonus tracks, including a cover version of Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On", which was the theme to the most romantic scene in the movie "Titanic".
"We're gonna put out my solo record, 'Solitary', which never was [properly] released," Don told Focus On Metal last year. "I wrote that thing [nine] years ago. And I added three more songs to it to make it a 12-song CD. I did three new songs. They're not 'new' songs — they're covers — but they're really beautiful. I did the 'Titanic' song by Celine Dion. I redid it, which is, like… Everybody said nobody can do the 'Titanic' song, 'cause you can't compete with that [original] version; it's brilliant. But I Don Dokken-ized it. And I did a song called 'Jealous' by [English electronic musician] Labrinth; I redid that. And I played the piano on that and sang it, and that came out really beautiful. And 'All That Love Can Be', also written by the same person [Oscar-winning composer James Horner] that wrote the 'Titanic' song. 'Cause he passed away — the writer — he was killed in a plane crash [in 2015], a famous composer. So it's kind of a tribute. He was a friend of mine. We were the same age; our birthdays were a month apart. So it's a bit of an homage to him, with the exception of the song 'Jealous'."
"Solitary" was originally only made available at select shows during a small run of acoustic gigs that Don Dokken did as the opening act for QUEENSRŸCHE in 2008. It was later released in digital format in 2014.
Joining Dokken on "Solitary" were THE FIRM and BLUE MURDER bassist Tony Franklin, guitarists Wyn Davis, Michael Thompson and Steve Ornest, drummers Frank Lentz, Gary Ferguson and Vinnie Colaiuta, and BATON ROUGE singer Kelly Keeling.
"Solitary" was Don's first solo release since 1990's "Up From The Ashes".
"Solitary" re-release track listing:
01. In The Meadow
02. I'll Never Forget
03. Where The Grass Is Green
04. Jealous
05. Ship Of Fools
06. You Are Everything
07. Venice
08. Sarah
09. My Heart Will Go On
10. The Tragedy
11. Someday
12. All That Love Can Be
DOKKEN is currently working on material on a new studio album, tentatively due later this year via Silver Lining Music, the label owned by Thomas Jensen, one of the founders of Germany's Wacken Open Air festival. The group's first disc since 2012's "Broken Bones" will feature DOKKEN's current lineup — which includes Dokken, bassist Chris McCarvill and guitarist Jon Levin. | 0

STONE TEMPLE PILOTS Cancel Acoustic Tour Due To JEFF GUTT's 'Severely Herniated Disc'
STONE TEMPLE PILOTS have canceled their previously announced "Perdida" acoustic tour due to a severely herniated disc of lead vocalist Jeff Gutt. Doctors have advised immediate surgery, along with several weeks of recovery time and physical therapy. Gutt is expected to make a full recovery, and the band hopes to reschedule the acoustic tour later this year. Ticket holders can seek refunds at point of purchase.
STP will continue with their Australian tour with LIVE and BUSH in April, and summer tour with NICKELBACK.
STONE TEMPLE PILOTS' first-ever acoustic album "Perdida" will be released on February 10. The band recorded the disc at drummer Eric Kretz's Bomb Shelter Studios. STP utilized a variety of instruments that haven't been associated with the group in the past, including flute, alto saxophone, guitarrón, viola, cello and vintage keyboards.
Bassist Robert DeLeo said "Perdida" (Spanish for 'loss') shows how music has helped them process grief, search for meaning and, ultimately, create something beautiful from the pain. "When I've gone through things in my life, I've found that sitting down and having an honest conversation with my guitar is the best therapy," he said.
"Recording an acoustic album like 'Perdida' is something the band has wanted to do for many years," added Kretz. "We performed on 'MTV Unplugged' in 1993, and we usually play acoustic mini-sets on tour, so when Robert and Dean started playing their new songs for us during our tour last year, we knew right away they would be perfect for an acoustic album."
Writing lyrics for an introspective album like "Perdida" meant exposing himself like never before, said Gutt, who joined the band in 2017. "It's an emotionally honest album and I needed to approach it that way for these songs to resonate," he said. "I had to let myself be as vulnerable writing the lyrics as Dean and Robert were writing the music."
To record "Perdida", the quartet assembled at Kretz's Bomb Shelter Studios in February 2019. The key to making the album, Dean explained, was finding a way to say more with less. "Everything you hear serves a purpose, from the space in the arrangements to the different instruments. We only added things that served the songs," he said.

MARKO HIETALA Debuts "Runner Of The Railways" Lyric Video; NIGHTWISH Bassist / Vocalist's Pyre Of The Black Heart Album Out Now
Finnish singer/ bassist Marko Hietala (aka Marco Hietala) has released a lyric video for the new single, "Runner Of The Railways", featured on his new solo album, Pyre Of The Black Heart, out now via Nuclear Blast.
Order Pyre Of The Black Heartnow on CD (jewelcase) or clear vinyl, here, and watch the new clip below.
About the goal behind his solo album, Marko Hietala comments, "Well, let's put it this way: Nightwish is without any doubt my main band, and thanks to income from that direction, I don't have to be that commercially aware... What I mean is that when I was coming up with the musical thoughts for this solo record, I was able to do simply anything without limits. So if I had a goal, it was to not have any kind of limits, but to prepare an unpredictable, spontaneous, adventurous, ferocious and intimate solo record. And now when I am listening to the final album by myself, I can say with my hand on my heart that I - or rather us - pulled it off... The record is a really diverse musical roller coaster ride that takes eager listeners into a world of strong emotions and deep feelings!"
Hietala's voice has barely faded away, and he is already honouring his skillful band mates. "Even if Pyre Of The Black Heartis definitely my solo album, I didn't compose everything on my own. When the song writing process was really in full swing, I kept sending all the ideas to my long-time collaborators Tuomas Wäinölä [guitar] and Vili Ollila [keyboards], and this ingenious two-some came up with great additions and arrangements, one after another. Drummer Anssi Nykänen - who is simply a wizard behind his set - completed the line-up like no other."

LEE AARON Reveals Two New Videos From First-Ever Live Album
Multi-platinum Canadian music icon Lee Aaron reveals two new live videos, for her classic tracks "Metal Queen" and "Whatcha Do to My Body." Both videos hail from the DVD portion of her first official live album, Power, Soul, Rock N' Roll – Live in Germany, released this past September via Metalville Records.
A special CD/DVD set, Power, Soul, Rock N' Roll – Live in Germany features a career-spanning set that highlights the vocal power, hit songcraft, and dynamic stage presence that has defined Lee Aaron as one of the world's great rock 'n' roll performers. Recorded live over two nights on the Fire and Gasoline German tour, Power, Soul, and Rock N' Roll captures both the intimate setting of a packed music hall in Nuremberg, as well as her killer open-air performance in 2017 for 20,000 fans at the famed Bang Your Head festival in Balingen.
The set includes Lee's classic anthems like "Metal Queen", "Barely Holdin’ On", "Powerline", "Hot To Be Rocked", and "Whatcha Do To My Body." Fans are treated to a stunning version of Deep Purple's "Mistreated" along with new fan favorites from Aaron's "return to rock" offerings on 2016's Fire and Gasoline and 2018's Diamond Baby Blues.
With Sean Kelly on guitar, Dave Reimer on bass, and John Cody on drums - a band whose resume includes work with Nelly Furtado, Bryan Adams, and BTO to name but a few - Lee and her band inspire the spirit of great "live" classic rock albums of the '70s with performances that move and live and breathe, putting the listener in the center of the concert magic. Power, Soul, Rock N' Roll is a "no fixes and no tricks" off-the-floor recording of two incredible performances in front of Lee's much-loved German fans, beautifully recorded and expertly mixed by legendary Canadian producer John Webster, with the striking DVD visuals rendered by Frank Gryner (Def Leppard).

BEHEMOTH Frontman NERGAL's ME AND THAT MAN Project Releases 'Męstwo' Music Video
Blackened blues project ME AND THAT MAN — founded in 2013 by BEHEMOTH frontman Adam "Nergal" Darski — has released a new single, "Męstwo", off its upcoming album, "New Man, New Songs, Same Shit, Vol. 1", to be released on March 27, 2020 via Napalm Records. The single is a fundamental part of the album and will take the listener on a sorrowful journey, showing the world that even the Devil himself is sometimes caught by feelings of self-doubt and melancholy.
"Męstwo" is the first song that Nergal has ever performed completely in Polish, and will captivate each and every listener with its mournful and forlorn vibe. This single might be the most intimate one on this album, and it's the only song in which Nergal himself sings, making it even more special. A catchy rhythm, bluesy guitar and shuffling drums bewitch the listener on this standout song. The single is accompanied by a striking audiovisual that captures the essence of "Męstwo" perfectly. Watch it below.
Nergal on "Męstwo": "When our drummer, Kuman, first sent me the demo version of 'Męstwo', I was immediately drawn to it — it's a simple song and simply written but totally honest and genuine. It's the only song on the record I sing on and it's exclusively Polish. 'Męstwo' translates to manhood; in this world of judgement, prejudice and struggle, the message of the song is to remain on your own course, to stay motivated and follow your own intuition — this is what manhood represents to me."
Three years after their initial debut, ME AND THAT MAN has returned with an offering that is indeed different from the first, but in no way less brilliant. The mysterious collective has surpassed themselves with their bewitching new collection — featuring ominous lyricism atop unfiltered blues, gothic-laced folk, outlaw country and Americana-influenced anthems. The enthralling album visits a completely new spectrum of dark desert vibes and sees notable heavy music icons such as Corey Taylor (SLIPKNOT), Brent Hinds (MASTODON), Matt Heafy (TRIVIUM), Ihsahn (EMPEROR) and Sivert Høyem (MADRUGADA) join the pact with the devil. "New Man, New Songs, Same Shit, Vol. 1" is a diversified, dynamic masterpiece that presents Nergal in a completely new light, providing a strong contrast to the heavier sounds of BEHEMOTH. Evil has truly never sounded so good.
Nergal comments: "With the utmost pride and… kind of relief;,I present to you, the second ME AND THAT MAN album — 'New Man, New Songs, Same Shit, Vol. 1'. This time 'round, I wanted to take on a different challenge and curated an album of 11 songs — each with their own character and vibe, alongside the most talented and important individuals across the whole scene. Together, we take trips to the lands of blues, folk, country and even spaghetti western. Only time will tell if we hit the mark, but I deeply believe so. I'm very proud of this piece of work and it has been a monumental task to achieve.
"I would like to thank EACH one of our guests for being part of this project: Mat and Matt, Niklas and Jørgen, Corey, Alan, Addi, Brent, Vegard, Sivert, Anders, Rob, Jerome, Johanna and Nicke. I LOVE you all from here to the moon and back! Without the passion and heart you granted us, this wouldn't have been possible!"
"New Man, New Songs, Same Shit, Vol. 1" track listing:
01. Run With The Devil (feat. Jørgen Munkeby of SHINING)
02. Coming Home (feat. Siver Høyem of MADRUGADA)
03. Burning Churches (feat. Mat McNerney of GRAVE PLEASURES)
04. By The River (feat. Ihsahn of EMPEROR)
05. Męstwo
06. Surrender (feat. Anders Landelius of DEAD SOUL)
07. Deep Down South (feat. Nicke Anderson of ENTOMBED / Johanna Sadonis of LUCIFER)
08. Man Of The Cross (feat. Jerome Reuter of ROME)
09. You Will Be Mine (feat. Matt Heafy of TRIVIUM)
10. How Come? (feat. Corey Taylor of SLIPKNOT and STONE SOUR) / Brent Hinds of MASTODON)
11. Confession (feat. Niklas Kvarforth of SHINING)
ME AND THAT MAN released its debut album, "Songs Of Love And Death", in 2017 — introducing the world to its unique brand of folk and blues, mixed with hints of outlaw country. The atmospherically dark album provided a strong contrast to BEHEMOTH with its catchy melodies and relaxed rhythms, and gave Nergal space to express his creativity in a different setting. Since its release, the album's lead single, "My Church Is Black", has racked up over 2.5 million streams on Spotify.
Darski has been a fixture in the music industry for years. As the frontman of black/death metal band BEHEMOTH, Darski has been known to preach unholy sermons, praise Satan and sing about explicit blasphemy. Naturally, the next step was to channel those themes into another genre commonly dubbed as the Devil's music — blues. ME AND THAT MAN is exactly that — Nergal's solo project will surprise and bewitch the listener. The visionary creative founded the band in an effort to showcase his true ability to adapt to any genre. In summer 2018, British/Polish rock musician John Porter left ME AND THAT MAN after the band completed a number of gigs in support of "Songs Of Love And Death".

TIM 'RIPPER' OWENS Slams ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME Over JUDAS PRIEST's Latest Snub
Former JUDAS PRIEST singer Tim "Ripper" Owens has slammed the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame after the band's latest snub.
The British heavy metal legends were on the ballot for Rock Hall induction this year, but failed to receive enough votes to make the class of 2020.
Having been eligible for induction since 1999, PRIEST was previously on the ballot for the 2018 class of the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, but was ultimately left out of the inductee list.
Current members Rob Halford, Ian Hill, Glenn Tipton and Scott Travis would have been inducted along with K.K. Downing, Les Binks and late drummer Dave Holland.
Speaking to Meltdown of Detroit's WRIF radio station, Owens stated about PRIEST's absence from the Rock Hall: "Here's the one thing about JUDAS PRIEST. Somebody said one time, 'Well, they're trying to look for bands and musicians that are influential.' Well, how can you be any more influential to music than JUDAS PRIEST? Dual guitars. Pretty much coined the phrase 'heavy metal.' The leather and studs and what they wore… It is horrible JUDAS PRIEST isn't in and gets snubbed again, but, on the other hand, I won't be going in with JUDAS PRIEST either, so it looks like I was kind of snubbed as well. I [was] in the band about 10 years, and I won't be going in."
Asked if he would still go to the Rock Hall ceremony if PRIEST was being inducted, Owens said: "Listen, I'm still friends with everybody. I would certainly hope I would be invited to go if they went into the Hall Of Fame. I can't imagine they wouldn't, but some of the decision making that happens wouldn't shock me. Obviously, they've kind of erased my history anyways. It doesn't change what I think. I'm totally friends with them. Amazing people, all of them — Rob included. It's kind of like my college — JUDAS PRIEST was. But I would think I would be invited. I mean, it's shocking that you can be [in a band] about 10 years and two studio records, up to that point, and not go."
Owens also made negative comments about the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inducting rap and pop artists, saying that hip-hop acts do not belong in the institution.
"The problem is it should not be called the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame then, because they're not putting rock and roll artists in; they're putting musicians in," Tim said. "And some of them, in my opinion, aren't even really musicians. Just because you can rhyme a couple of words and mumble through something doesn't make you a musician.
"It does open the gates up for JUDAS PRIEST making the Rap Hall Of Fame," Owens joked. "So that's probably a good thing nowadays. And I'm actually hoping I can get into the Football Hall Of Fame — the NFL Football Hall Of Fame — which I don't play and never really have, but I do watch it, so I should probably be able to get in. That's kind of how they look at it.
"It's just named the wrong thing, isn't it?" Tim added. "That's the only thing. They should just change the name to the Music Hall Of Fame. … Rock and roll is a branding of rock and roll. Obviously, some country artists can go in, because they have some [rock] influences. Johnny Cash, I can see going in there, because old Johnny Cash was rockabilly, and he had some of that influence. And nowadays country will definitely get in, because they're more rock and roll than country."
Even though artists are eligible for the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame 25 years after the release of their first album or single, iconic hard rock and metal bands like PRIEST, IRON MAIDEN and MOTÖRHEAD have yet to be recognized by the institution, which inducted GUNS N' ROSES in that group's first year of eligibility.
Rock Hall rules state that artists become eligible a quarter century after their first records were released, but the Hall also claims that other "criteria include the influence and significance of the artists' contributions to the development and perpetuation of rock 'n' roll," which is, of course, open to interpretation.
Eligible for induction since 1999, KISS didn't get its first nomination until 2009, and was finally inducted in 2014.
DEEP PURPLE was eligible for the Rock Hall since 1993 but didn't get inducted until 2016.

Townsend Music has announced the release of Suicidal Tendencies' 1993 album, Still Cyco After All These Years, on heavyweight orange marble vinyl, on January 24.
Still Cyco After All These Years was originally released in 1993, a compilation of sorts but officially classed as a studio record. OZZY OSBOURNE's 'Ordinary Man' Duet With ELTON JOHN Sounds 'F**king Awesome,' Says CHAD SMITH
Ozzy Osbourne and Elton John have collaborated on the title song of the BLACK SABBATH singer's forthcoming solo album, "Ordinary Man". The disc will arrive on February 21 via Epic Records.
Three days after the news of the surprise collaboration was broken by Ozzy's wife and manager Sharon on her daytime TV talk show "The Talk", RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS drummer Chad Smith, who plays on the LP, spoke about the project during an appearance on "Volume West", which airs daily on SiriusXM Volume channel 106.
Asked by host Lyndsey Parker how Slash came to be involved with the album, Chad said: "Having Ozzy do new music, anyone that we mentioned to, 'We're making music for Ozzy,' everyone wants in. Anyone we spoke to. So we wanted it to be the right people. We didn't wanna just throw in names for names. [We wanted] people that love Ozzy, which is pretty much everybody anyway, but that made sense. The single that's out now called 'Straight To Hell', he soloed at the end of that — classic Slash wah-wah, bluesy; great. But, really, we wanted him to play on this song that is the title song, which is called 'Ordinary Man' — this more midtempoey, kind of BEATLES… Ozzy loves THE BEATLES — it's his favorite band. He's going on about THE BEATLES — THE BEATLES, BEATLES, BEATLES. And you would think, the Prince Of Darkness — THE BEATLES, really? So he's, like, 'We need something midtempo, not so heavy.' So Andrew [Watt, 'Ordinary Man' producer] had this little piano idea thing, and we made it into this song, and it's epic. And Slash plays the solo. It's so epic, there's two Slash solos. [Laughs] It's a really good song. And he plays beautifully on it, and we're so happy to have him on it.'
According to Chad, Elton ended up playing on the record as an afterthought. "We decided, 'Well, [the song] has a piano. Who is a really good piano player? I don't know…. Let's get the Rocket Man,'" Smith recalled. "And so Andrew and I went down to Atlanta, where Elton John lives when he's on the East Coast. I think he kind of lives all over the place. And we recorded him. And he played the piano on the song, and he plays it beautifully, of course. And then we're, like, 'Why don't we have him sing a verse?'"
Chad went on to say that Elton and Ozzy both sound "fucking awesome" on the song. "These two iconic legendary English fucking rockers that have been through it all are singing about the end of their lives. 'I don't wanna die an ordinary man.' And it's fucking great," he said. "Me and Andrew are pinching ourselves. And Elton was so great, so gracious. 'I'll do anything for Ozzy. I love Ozzy.''
"And so on this 'Ordinary Man' song, you've got Duff McKagan, Slash, Andrew Watt, wonderboy producer, writer, hot-shit guy of the moment, great musician," he continued. "You've got the Prince Of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne. You've got Sir Elton John, and a drummer from some other band. You've got the fucking Avengers of rock and roll. It's so fucking good. And at the end of this song, every time I hear it, there's this string thing at the end. We went to Abbey Road [studios], and it's strings and a choir. It's fucking epic, and every time I hear it, I'm, like, 'And the Grammy goes to…'"
This past November, Ozzy released "Under The Graveyard", his first new solo music in almost 10 years, which garnered more than 2.8 million global streams in its first week.
Recorded in Los Angeles, the album features producer Watt on guitars, McKagan on bass and Smith on drums.
Ozzy has not released an all-new solo effort since 2010's "Scream", having spent the last few years touring with BLACK SABBATH in support of that band's "13" LP, as well as playing a number of solo shows. More recently, Osbourne has been recuperating at home after sustaining a bad neck injury resulting in the postponement of his solo tour.
Back in October, Ozzy once again postponed his European tour, marking the second time the BLACK SABBATH singer has done so following a series of health issues.
Ozzy initially scrapped his entire 2019 schedule early last year, as he recovered from surgery to repair an injury sustained while dealing with his bout of pneumonia. The European leg of his "No More Tours 2" trek was then rescheduled for January through March 2020, with the North American dates set to follow in May 2020.

SLASH On New GUNS N' ROSES Music: 'There's Been No Definitive Answer On Anything'
GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Slash was asked in a new interview with Guitar.com for an update on new music from the band. He responded: "There's been no definitive answer on anything and I'll just keep keep to that. Stuff is happening, but there are no specifics. More than anything, it's because of the nature of the industry right now. It's just like, how do you want to do this? I mean there's material and there's recording and there's shit going on, but we're not really sure what we're doing with it right now."
When the interviewer pointed out to Slash that the music industry in 2020 is a lot different to the last time he and GUNS made a record, the guitarist said: "Yeah. And there's a handful people who said, 'Yeah, make a record and go old school.' And there's a handful of people that are, like, 'We don't even know what buying a record is any more.'"
Ever since guitarist Slash, singer Axl Rose and bassist Duff McKagan reunited in 2016 as GUNS N' ROSES, rumors have been circulating that new music from the band — the first to feature the three "classic-lineup" members since 1993 — was in the works.
Last September, Slash told SiriusXM's "Trunk Nation" that writing new material for GUNS N' ROSES was the "focus" for the coming months. Slash also talked about whether GUNS N' ROSES fans can expect to see new music from the band in the form of standalone singles or as a full-length record. He explained: "I think at the end of the day, everybody wants to have a full album released. I don't think that's really changed all that much. But there's a different way of putting stuff out initially nowadays more so than… I mean, there's always been the single, but now you sort of look at that preliminary release a little bit differently now. All things considered, it's like the Wild West out there; there is no formula for any of it. [Laughs] I haven't seen any routine kind of thing that works. I mean, you can do any one of a million different things to releasing a record. But at the end of the day, I think that we will ultimately release a full album."
GUNS N' ROSES' "Not In This Lifetime" tour, which began almost four years ago, recently became the No. 3 highest-grossing tour in the history of Billboard Boxscore.
Launched in April 2016, "Not in This Lifetime" features Slash, McKagan and Rose backed by Fortus, drummer Frank Ferrer, keyboardist Dizzy Reed and second keyboardist Melissa Reese.
GUNS N' ROSES will perform at the second Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest, set to take place January 30 through February 1 at American Airlines Arena in Miami. GUNS N' ROSES will headline on January 31.

Former CHILDREN OF BODOM Bassist Joins MOON SHOT
Former CHILDREN OF BODOM bassist Henri "Henkka T. Blacksmith" Seppälä has joined a brand new Finnish rock band called MOON SHOT. Completing the group's lineup are vocalist Ville Malja (LAPKO), guitarist Jussi Ylikoski and drummer Mikko Hakila (DISCO ENSEMBLE).
Seppälä announced his latest project in a social media post earlier today. He wrote: "Dearest COB-fans, friends and supporters,
"Few weeks have passed now since our emotional final show in our beloved Helsinki, Finland.
"CHILDREN OF BODOM and all you great people I have had the pleasure to play for, work with and become friends with, will always be a big part of me. I am — and I will always be — grateful for that.
"When the decision to quit with BODOM became real in the end of spring 2019, I wasn't determined to do anything new as a musician. This might sound naïve, but I always thought I couldn't play anything else than BODOM, I was pretty sure nothing would inspire me enough. But then the most unexpected thing happened; the news about my situation reached these certain three guys who were brainstorming in Helsinki to find a perfect fit for bass in their brand new group.
"For me the classic 'one door closing blah blah' quote felt now very much on point.
"The idea of a new band felt scary, not only musically but also because it came so quickly after the biggest and scariest decision of my life. At the same time I saw it as a gift, new chance to do music with friends, musicians whose careers I have had the pleasure to follow with admiration. I didn't wanna miss this rare chance.
"Things came together quite quickly, as you might know, my plans for life after BODOM...well, actually there was no plans really…
"So here I am, introducing MOON SHOT to you. MOON SHOT is far from melodic death metal. It's a blend of alternative rock, some crossover elements, lots of melodies — but like always in music; you judge it and define it yourself."
On November 1, Seppälä, Jaska Raatikainen (drums) and Janne Wirman (keyboards) issued a statement saying that they would leave CHILDREN OF BODOM after playing the final show of the band's Finnish tour on December 15 at the Black Box in Helsinki Ice Hall. A few days later, CHILDREN OF BODOM guitarist/vocalist Alexi Laiho admitted to Helsingin Sanomat that there had been tensions in the BODOM camp for quite some time.
CHILDREN OF BODOM's latest album, "Hexed", came out in March 2019 via Nuclear Blast Records.

SEBASTIAN BACH: Why I Chose STITCHED UP HEART As Support Act For 'Skid Row' 31st-Anniversary Tour
Former SKID ROW singer Sebastian Bach has announced STITCHED UP HEART as the opening act on his spring 2020 North American tour celebrating the 31st anniversary of SKID ROW's debut album.
Bach explained his choice of support acts in a social media post on Wednesday (January 22). He wrote: "In the 31 years since the 1st record came out, I have always prided myself on choosing killer opening bands for you to rock out to before we come on the stage. It all started back in 1992 with a little band you may have heard of called PANTERA back on the 'Slave To The Grind' tour. They released 'Vulgar Display Of Power' a month into our tour and the rest is history. After that we took out a band called SOUNDGARDEN you may have heard of them. Then it was NINE INCH NAILS! Hello Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, you've come a long way baby! And most recently SANTA CRUZ, ONE BAD SON, Monte Pittman, KOBRA AND THE LOTUS..... All of these musicians + crew, consummate professionals on quite gruelling runs! 'Cause that's the way we like to do it!
"We've been searching for a cool band for the 31st Anniversary Tour and I saw a video by STITCHED UP HEART," he continued. "I clicked on it and I really dug what I saw + heard! I think you guys are going to dig this band! They have a new record coming out so y'all got some new tunes to get into while we do the first record 'Skid Row' in its entirety, front to back! Looking forward to the tour with STITCHED UP HEART check out their video! Don't miss this show! Tickets and VIP packages available now at http://www.SebastianBach.Com"
Bach's 2020 tour will kick off on March 25 in Blue Lake, California and conclude on May 11 in San Francisco, California.
On the fall 2019 leg of the tour, Bach usually opened the 15-song set with "Tornado" — the LP's final track — and "Forever" before the singer performed the rest of "Skid Row" in order. As an encore, Sebastian played two songs from SKID ROW's 1991 album "Slave To The Grind": "The Threat" and "Monkey Business".
In June, Bach issued an "open invitation" to the other members of SKID ROW's classic lineup to "get onstage and jam" during the vocalist's recent tour. A few days later, during an interview with Finland's Kaaos TV, guitarist Dave "Snake" Sabo confirmed that he would not accept Bach's latest overture. "I'm working with my band," he said. "This is SKID ROW, and this is what I do."
Drummer Rob Affuso — who left SKID ROW in 1998 and claims to be "the only former member that keeps in contact with all former SKID ROW bandmates and is still good friends with them all" — subsequently joined Bach on September 25 at Sony Hall in New York City to play the band's classic song "Makin' A Mess".
Asked by Rolling Stone if he thinks his former bandmates are offended that he put his invitation out there publicly, Bach said: "No. I think it's an ego thing. They don't like when I get attention, and they don't get attention. It's always been like that. I can already see them getting mad, because I'm selling out shows, and they're not part of the show, and blah, blah, blah."
In the 31 years since the 1st record came out, I have always prided myself on choosing killer opening bands for you to...

South Africa’s CONSTELLATIA Signs To Season Of Mist
Season Of Mist has announced the signing of South African post metal band Constellatia. The band's debut album, The Language Of Limbs, will be re-released by Season of Mist on physical formats later on in 2020.
Regarding the signing, the band comments: "We are extremely thrilled and proud to sign with Season Of Mist. As big fans of the label, we are humbled and privileged to be in the company of so many great artists who we respect and admire. Thank you to Michael and the team for believing in us, and we look forward to sharing many records with you. Thank you for the support."
The Language Of Limbs is essentially a post-metal record with black metal and progressive influences, and a healthy dose of ambience and atmosphere; always deeply engaging with a flair for the romantic and nostalgic. "It is a record that came from a place of desperation; a musical outlet for the years of hardship both members endured in their personal lives." Gideon Lamprecht comments. "It's an album about obsession and overcoming. It's a triumphant record." adds Keenan Oakes.

KONVENT's Puritan Masochism Unboxed; Video
Copenhagen's rising death doom outfit, Konvent, is set to release their debut album, Puritan Masochism, on January 24 via Napalm Records. A new unboxing video can be seen below:
The Danish collective, founded in 2015, stoically trudges through the blackest mires - following in the footsteps of Mythic, Paradise Lost, Skepticism and Winter, who all unleashed the bleakest horror on mankind in the early 90s. Rikke Emilie List's guttural vocals and tenacious riffing combined with menacingly heavy production make the debut by these four Danish women a massive, extreme metal highlight of early 2020 - and it wouldn't come as a surprise if their upcoming album, Puritan Masochism, conjures up a deserved revival for the whole death doom genre.
Coming January 24 via LP, CD and digital formats through Napalm Records, the album can be pre-ordered here.
Tracklisting:
"Puritan Masochism"
"The Eye"
"Trust"
"World Of Gone"

Watch SYSTEM OF A DOWN Drummer And AVENGED SEVENFOLD Singer Cover RADIOHEAD's 'Street Spirit'
SYSTEM OF A DOWN drummer John Dolmayan will release his solo debut, "These Grey Men", on February 28. The eight-song LP contains covers of tracks by such varied artists as Madonna, RADIOHEAD, AFI, Eminem and David Bowie.
The official music video for the disc's first single, a reworking of RADIOHEAD's "Street Spirit", can be seen below. The song features a guitar solo from RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE's Tom Morello, as well as contributions from AVENGED SEVENFOLD vocalist M. Shadows, guitarist James Hazley, bassist Tom Copossela and keyboardist Danny Shamoun.
"This song in particular is a really touching and moving song," Dolmayan told Rolling Stone. "I love the morose, in-your-room-and-it's-raining-outside, it's cold and your girlfriend dumped you feeling that this song always gave me… But when I listened to it, I'd be, like, 'I kinda wish the drums came in earlier,' or, 'How would [John] Bonham approach this song if this was a [LED] ZEPPELIN song?' Because I'm such a fan of the song, I wanted to do a version of it in homage."
M. Shadows said about the track: "When John told me he wanted to reimagine some of his favorite songs for an album, I was very intrigued. I've always respected RADIOHEAD but wasn't familiar with their full catalog. When John sent 'Street Spirit', I instantly was blow away by the sounds. Since then, I have been on a huge RADIOHEAD kick. Adding Tom Morello to our version was the icing on the cake. I feel this recording stays true to the original while adding John's overall vision."
The "Street Spirit" clip was directed by Vicente Cordero of Industrialism Films.
"These Gray Men" also features Dolmayan's SYSTEM OF A DOWN bandmate Serj Tankian on a cover of David Bowie's "Starman" and the TALKING HEADS' "Road To Nowhere".
"These Gray Men" track listing:
01. Hung Up (MADONNA)
02. Street Spirit (RADIOHEAD)
03. Beautiful Thieves (AFI)
04. Road To Nowhere (TALKING HEADS)
05. Rock Bottom (EMINEM)
06. Runaway (DEL SHANNON)
07. Starman (DAVID BOWIE)
