DEGENERATE Release Devastation Ahead Album; "Recondite Radiation" Music Video Streaming

Devastation Ahead, the first full-length album from Dutch melodic thrashers, Degenerate, is out now. The album contains 10 songs and is mixed and mastered by Mendel Bij De Leij (ex-Aborted).

Degenerate is a collaboration between Dutch musicians Rens H., Dani R.C., Bas B., and Filip A.F., who all share a big history in the Dutch metal scene. The partnership was put together in early 2016 by Rens H. with a vision to unleash a modern thrash/death metal hybrid. After the release of the bands first Demo EP in 2016 the name Degenerate has grown fast in the dutch metal scene and became known for their energetic live performances and great songwriting. After a period of playing a lot of shows on a large variety of stages throughout the country, the band decided that the time had come to record a full-length album. Loaded with a bunch of songs the band hit the studio in early 2019.

Devastation Ahead Is an album that takes the listener on a trip down memory lane. The unique combination of challenging guitar riffs, technical drumming, melancholic guitar leads and solos creates a sound of yesteryear and will bring back memories of 80’s style thrash metal, without excluding modern metal heads. Degenerate’s music will appeal to fans of Max Cavalera-era Sepultura, Children Of Bodom, Death and Testament. The album contains 10 varying songs that are mixed and mastered by the legendary Mendel Bij De Leij, who can be known as the former guitarist of the Belgian extreme death metal band, Aborted.

“Because of my years of experience in the Dutch metal scene, I met a lot of good and competent musicians. Unfortunately, I never felt that they were suitable for the project that I had in mind. After I met these guys, I immediately knew that I found the right line-up for the job. The technical  and ferocious skills of these guys do raise the songs and writing to a level that I did not even dare to dream of. Loaded with a bunch of songs we hit the studio in early 2019. And during the same period while looking for the right mix engineer we found Mendel Bij De Leij. The man did a absolutely magnificent job on mixing the album. We came to a record we didn’t dare to dream of”, said Rens H.

The album is available via all online streaming services. Physical copies can be ordered for ˆ15 (International shipping included) by sending an e-mail to the band at band.degenerate@gmail.com.

TRIBULATION Share "Here Be Dragons" Video From New Live Release, Alive & Dead At Södra Teatern

Tribulation have released their new live album, Alive & Dead At Södra Teatern, Get a glimpse of the impressive show that was filmed in one of Stockholm’s oldest theatres below, with the newly launched video for “Here Be Dragons”.

Says the band: "As the title suggests, we left shore and headed into uncharted waters with this one, and it ended up being one of the most romantic and gothic songs to-date. We actually almost scratched it completely before we got through the recording! Luckily the stars aligned, we mustered through it and made it work! As if heading into uncharted territory wasn't enough, it was also the first - and so far only - time we've played the song live. We're all glad we did since it's a song that we've had requested countless times since the release of Down Below, and now everyone who so wishes can partake in that very performance - and who knows, we might play it again. Don't you hear the distant howling of the wolf?"

Tribulation's first live album, it was an event to behold, for the monsters were let out of their cages to run wild as the Swedes imparted death metal of distinction across two fearsome sets. Invited by ex-Nirvana 2002 vocalist and curator Orvar Säfström, who also bedeviled the audience as master of ceremonies, Tribulation treated their besuited Swedish legions to unrivaled dark magic at their first-ever Södra Teatern (Southern Theatre) main hall gig.

RODRIGO Y GABRIELA Release Spectacular New Version Of METALLICA's 'Battery'

Acclaimed guitar virtuosos RODRIGO Y GABRIELA have unveiled a spectacular new version of the METALLICA classic "Battery". The track will be featured on the duo's upcoming "Mettal" EP, due from ATO Records on Black Friday, November 29, as a one-sided 12-inch vinyl Record Store Day First release, limited to 2,500 and available only at independent record stores. Side 2 will have an art etching. This companion EP to RODRIGO Y GABRIELA's latest full-length, "Mettalvolution", sees Rodrigo Sánchez and Gabriela Quintero paying tribute to the icons of thrash metal with three previously unreleased covers, shedding light on some of their favorite foundational songs. Along with "Battery", the "Mettal" EP includes stunning new versions of MEGADETH's "Holy Wars" and SLAYER's epic "Seasons In The Abyss". All three tracks were produced and recorded by Sanchez in Oslo, Norway and finished at the duo's own Lumbini Studio in Ixtapa, Zihuatenejo, Mexico. "Mettal" was mixed by Jim Monti (SLIPKNOT, METALLICA, KORN) and then mastered by Grammy Award winner Ted Jensen (BRING ME THE HORIZON, DISTURBED, HALESTORM) at Sterling Sound in Nashville.

Commented Rodrigo: "It's no secret that we love METALLICA. 'Master Of Puppets' changed everything for us when we first heard it all those years ago."

Added Gabriela: "We've played parts of 'Battery' in our live set for many years. We're so happy to release our studio version in full for our fans. Thank you to the fans for coming with us on this trip, and eternal gratitude to METALLICA for the incredible music."

Natives of Mexico City, Sánchez and Quintero began their careers as members of TIERRA ACIDA, a heavy metal band which played on the city's underground gig circuit for seven years.

"Like a lot of Mexican youth, we were heavily influenced by American metal bands — METALLICA, MEGADETH, PANTERA, and also SEPULTURA," Gabriela explained. "It was a full band, very loud, and for vocals, Rodrigo would just scream. We played this way for seven years."

Asked in an interview if RODRIGO Y GABRIELA's metal connections were fading, Rodrigo said: "No, it's growing, actually. You go to our shows and you see a lot of metalheads. It was great to have the recognition from the kings, from METALLICA themselves, to be in touch with them and having the opportunity to jam with Robert pretty often. It's great, because that opened the door for a lot of metalheads to understand that we come from there. It's clear for the people that we love metal."

Former CANDLEMASS Singer MATS LEVÉN's SKYBLOOD: 'Out Of The Hollow' Lyric Video

The official lyric video for the song "Out Of The Hollow" from SKYBLOOD, the solo project of acclaimed Swedish hard rock singer Mats Levén, can be seen below.

Levén says about the track: "It's about someone realizing it's time to move on. Even if it means having to face the dark unknown."

His name belongs to the most influential and illustrious ones in Swedish metal. Levén's distinctive and colorful voice has graced albums by CANDLEMASS, THERION, KRUX, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN and AT VANCE. Now, after lending his voice to others for decades, fans can finally witness the charismatic singer's solo album. Under the new flag of SKYBLOOD, it will see the light of day on November 22 via Napalm Records.

Dark and hypnotic anthems meet exotic trips into emotional soundspheres on tracks such as "The Voice", which triumphs in musical finesse and timeless elegance.

This debut is an unchained and exciting affair feeding off of epic and classic metal influences, doom and melodic hard rock — an unpredictable mixture soaring to glorious height.

Mats has been working on his solo project for several years. Most instruments were recorded by Mats himself at his own studio, the Uzi G Studio in Stockholm. According to Mats, SKYBLOOD is "who I am. This is SKYBLOOD. SKYBLOOD equals pride, empathy and rage. 'The Voice' carries that flag. A fight for the cause of truth."

Among the guest musicians who are expected to appear on SKYBLOOD's debut album are Martin "Axe" Axenrot (BLOODBATH, OPETH, WITCHERY), Nalley Påhlsson (TREAT, THERION), Snowy Shaw (ex-KING DIAMOND) and Petter Karlsson (ex-THERION, DIABLO SWING ORCHESTRA).

Track listing:

01. Skyblood Manifesto

02. The Voice

03. The Not Forgotten

04. Wake Up To The Truth

05. Once Invisible

06. One Eye For An Eye

07. Out Of The Hollow

08. For Or Against

09. Le Venimeux

"Skyblood" will be coming on vinyl, CD and in digital formats.

Mats, who was in CANDLEMASS for six years, began his professional musical life with SWEDISH EROTICA from Gothenburg, Sweden in 1989. In 1990, Mats got an offer from TREAT and moved to Stockholm where he still lives with his wife and two kids.

After recording albums with ABSTRAKT ALGEBRA and AB/CD, Mats as approached by Yngwie Malmsteen to join the guitarist's band in 1997-98 and to lay down his vocal tracks on the "Facing The Animal" LP.

Over the past couple of decades, Levén has been involved with a number of different bands and projects, including SOUTHPAW, DOGFACE, ESSENCE OF SORROW, AT VANCE and KRUX.

In 2004, Mats supplied lead vocals for THERION's two albums "Sirius B" and "Lemuria". This led to some 150 shows with the band over the course of the next four years. THERION's 2007 album "Gothic Kabbalah" saw Mats co-writing six of the tracks, including the epic "Son Of The Staves Of Time". In 2010-2011, Mats toured with ADAGIO and FIREWIND before joining CANDLEMASS as the replacement for Robert Lowe.

Between 2016 and 2018, Mats toured with rock theater sensation TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA, whose 20th-anniversary trek visited 65 cities across North America, for 100-plus performances, before concluding on December 30.

CRO-MAGS Premier First Music Video In 27 Years, "No One's Victim"

Punching in at 95 seconds, shorter, faster, hard-hitting songs never go out of style and the Cro-Mags prove that with “No One’s Victim”, their first video in 27 years. The song comes from the Don’t Give In EP, released in August 2019 via Victory Records.

Filmed on location throughout 2019 during their headlining European tour and their support slot with The Misfits, “No One’s Victim” is the Cro-Mags first music video since the 1992 clip, “The Paths Of Perfection”. It was the bands previous video, 1987’s “We Gotta Know”, that gave MTV audiences a view into the crossover world of metal, thrash and punk that defined the Cro-Mags as a pioneer of a still boot-stomping scene that refuses to die. The proof is evidenced in the new video.

Cro-Mags founder Harley Flanagan adds, “This is our first ‘real’ video since 'We Gotta Know' because it's a real look at the live energy of Cro-Mags, it's not some staged video, its real, raw footage shot at our shows.”

The Cro-Mags first full-length album since the album Revenge (2000) will be coming in early 2020 on Victory Records.

Cro-Mags feature the legendary Flanagan pulling double duty with bass and lead vocals, guitarists Gabby Abularach, Rocky George (Suicidal Tendencies, Fishbone), and drummer Garry "G-Man" Sullivan.

Earlier this year the band released their first new music in nearly twenty years, with the 3-song Don’t Give In EP. On December 6, the NYC crew’s second 3-song EP will be available, titled From The Grave.

Brazil's DOCTOR PHEABES Unleash First-Ever North American Release, Army Of The Sun; "Rebel Riders" Music Video Streaming

2019 marks a new chapter for Eduardo Parrillo (vocals), Fernando Parrillo (guitar), Fabio Ressio (bass) and Paulo Ressio (drums) - who help comprise Doctor Pheabes - as their recently-released third album, Army Of The Sun, brings a melting pot of feelings. On one hand, the joy of the greatest challenge and the best production they’ve ever gone through with Bruno Agra and Kato Khandwala, but yet, on the other hand the death of the latter (Kato died in a motorcycle accident in 2018).

Hailing from São Paulo, Brazil, the band’s latest offering offers up plenty of melodic rock that appears custom-made for US radio, complete with hooks and big choruses - including such standout tracks as “Here To Stay” and the title track. Additionally, “Better Off Alone” - the first single and certainly the most iconic composition of the record - brought new horizons to the group and opened doors for new fans. “Your Love Is Mine,” the second single, brings a dynamic outfit to the quartet and also a video clip starring strong women and successful sportswomen. And it just so happens that another one of the album’s top tracks, “Rebel Riders,” also has a music video (filmed in Los Angeles), which can be viewed below.

And the group praises Kato’s contribution to the Army Of The Sun album. “From this friendship it came up a fantastic album,” says Fernando. “We have improved a lot as musicians and songwriters, having a guy who is in Los Angeles making rock and roll his whole life ... the apprenticeship was gigantic, every musician should get through it.” Eduardo also regrets the passing of Kato. "He was a very nice guy, patient, intelligent, we spent months getting along, it was real friendship, there were incredible moments with him."

Having already released previous albums in their homeland, Doctor Pheabes has also shared the concert stage with some of the biggest bands and as part of the best-known festivals, including Monsters of Rock in 2013, opening act for Guns N 'Roses (2014), Black Sabbath (2016) and The Rolling Stones (2016); coming back to the Monsters of Rock in 2015, and performing at Lollapalooza in 2015 and 2017 and Rock in Rio in 2017.

"It was always a desire, but also a great responsibility, even more so with authorial music,” Fernando recalls. “And we had contact with some bands, we met all The Rolling Stones, for example.” Eduardo adds: "It was magical times, we never imagined we could go through it. There, on stage, you get that euphoria back when you were a teenager. Knowing Mick Jagger is a magical thing, seeing the idols we've listened to for a lifetime something unique."

The members of Doctor Pheabes show energy for more work, although they keep their feet on the ground. "It will be worth it; we just want to perform good gigs and people to enjoy it - anything else, is welcome," concludes Eduardo. The band is planning to expand its activities to the international market with this release.

Y&T's Long-Awaited Documentary 'On With The Show' To Arrive This Month

Y&T's long-awaited documentary, "Y&T: On With The Show - The Documentary", will be released on DVD on November 26 and on Blu-ray on December 31.

This documentary, narrated by Eddie Trunk and told by frontman Dave Meniketti, along with interviews of past and present bandmembers, will tell the great story that is Y&T by the guys who lived it. From the days of rehearsing in the front room at drummer Leonard Haze's grandmother's house in Oakland, California, to the present day celebrating over 40 years, you'll hear about: the early days touring with their Volkswagen van and a pickup truck, the crazy stories of recording the first two YESTERDAY & TODAY albums, meeting Bill Graham and opening for JOURNEY, BOSTON and QUEEN, the band's big breaks recording and touring overseas, being on the road with AC/DC, OZZY OSBOURNE and DIO, the short-lived breakup in the early '90s, the reformation three years later, a tribute to bassist Phil Kennemore, and much more.

The band has hundreds of hours of never-before-seen personal footage, concert clips, interviews, and thousands of personal pictures to sift through that will visually take you through the journey that they traveled. There will be rare footage and audio clips of performances old and new, from the band's first shows to the legendary concerts and festivals. Also interviews with rock star celebrities from the many bands who have worked with and were influenced by Y&T, including Don Dokken (DOKKEN), Dee Snider (TWISTED SISTER), Sammy Hagar (VAN HALEN, MONTROSE), Eric Martin (MR. BIG) and the members of ANVIL, plus great stories from the band's producers, engineers and roadies over the years.

The two-disc set includes the actual documentary (143 minutes) with eight deleted scenes, plus an "Encore" disc (137 minutes) with nine special featurettes — for a total of nearly five hours of material.

Disc 1: Documentary + Bonus Material

Disc 2: Encore: Nine Special Featurettes

Please note: The DVD was manufactured as "All Regions" so it should play in your DVD player; if you encounter any issues in your country or with your player (older DVD players may pose problems), then you can watch it on a computer, which is not region-specific.

A trailer for "On With The Show" is available below.

Meniketti is the only surviving member of the Y&T lineup — then known as YESTERDAY AND TODAY — that recorded the band's self-titled debut album.

Original Y&T rhythm guitarist Joey Alves died in March 2017 at the age of 63. Two founding Y&T musicians — Haze, 61, and Kennemore, 57, who both had left the lineup — died from complications of lung cancer: Kennemore on January 7, 2011, and Haze on September 11, 2016.

Y&T's current lineup is rounded out by guitarist John Nymann, drummer Mike Vanderhule and bassist Aaron Leigh.

The band's latest studio album, "Facemelter", came out in May 2010 via Frontiers.

A NEW TOMORROW Debut "A Million Stars" Music Video

Frontiers Music Srl will release of A New Tomorrow's label debut, Universe, on December 6. Watch a video for the song "A Million Stars" below, and pre-order the album here.

Formed in London by vocalist/guitarist Alessio Garavello (ex-Powerquest/Arthemis) and bassist Andrea Lonardi, the two were later joined by drummer Tim Hall and guitarist Michael Kew. A New Tomorrow have spent the past few years honing their sound into the potent mix of uplifting, hard-hitting, melodic hard rock that you now hear today.

Harnessing influences from the likes of musical heroes such as Alter Bridge, Foo Fighters, Metallica, and Green Day, the band have been defining their sound during years of shows across the UK, Italy, and elsewhere in Europe. Offering fast and furious riffing coupled with super melodic hook lines, they have an original and cool take on the hard rock style. A New Tomorrow are indeed a sorely needed breath of fresh air in the current scene.

Drummer Tim Hall says, "Several years of amazing times, full of both ups and downs, not just as a band but as great friends, gave us the foundation to write something special for this record. "Universe" became the only title to encompass all our experiences as individuals and as a band, with themes - from fear and doubt to taking back the pursuit of our hopes and dreams - that I think all of us can identify with. The time we took gaining experience as a band, before writing "Universe", has really allowed us to find our own space within the music allowing our own individual influences to come across a lot more than in our previous releases. Expect our heaviest, yet most dynamic range of songs to date! With intricate, interwoven grooves, alongside blankets of melodic guitars and powerful vocals. We feel invigorated playing this music and can't wait to unleash that energy with you live in 2020!"

A New Tomorrow's love for life and go-getter attitude, both on and off stage, complete the picture of one of the hottest bands to come out of the British underground in recent times.

Now, the band gets to share the next chapter in their evolution worldwide through their debut full-length album "Universe". Buckle up and enjoy the ride!

ROYAL HUNT - New Concept Album In The Works, Says ANDRÈ ANDERSEN

Royal Hunt is in a process of recording a new concept album, scheduled for release in 2020 (Japan / SE Asia - King Records, rest of the world - TBA). As usual, most of the production activities were moved into NorthPoint Studio while mix/mastering facilities will be appointed later.

The band hints at a monumental conceptual offering, which is supposed to expand their familiar yet constantly evolving soundscape into previously uncharted territories. With their 15th studio release, Royal Hunt is dead-set to deliver a masterpiece, which should once again rise the bar for modern progressive hard rock genre.

André Andersen: “The next Royal Hunt album is in the works and - while most of it is still in a state of a “sort-of-controlled- chaos” - I'd say it's probably our biggest production to date… the amount of tracks is simply staggering. Yes, it's a concept album and yes, there're some special guests on it and yes - already on this demo stage - this thing sounds huge (even by our standards). So fear not: we're still around and we're rocking just as hard - if not harder - as we usually do.”

Stay tuned for updates.

KATAKLYSM Release Official Lyric Video For "The Last Breath I'll Take Is Yours"

Next week, the iconic MTV Headbangers Ball Tour kicks off at Felsenkeller in Leipzig, Germany. Headlined by Canadian melodic death metal heavyweights Kataklysm, the lineup will be completed by Whitechapel, Fleshgod Apocalypse, and Dyscarnate.

In anticipation of the run, Kataklysm have launched a lyric video for the track, "The Last Breath I'll Take Is Yours", taken from their studio album, Meditations (2018).

Frontman Maurizio Iacono states, "'The Last Breath I’ll Take Is Yours' is a song that deals with having to prove yourself over and over again to society. WENDY DIO Says Re-Release Of BLACK SABBATH's 'Dehumanizer' Is Coming 'Very Soon'

"The Church Of What's Happening Now With Joey CoCo Diaz" recently conducted an interview with Wendy Dio, the widow and manager of legendary RAINBOW, BLACK SABBATH and DIO vocalist Ronnie James Dio. You can watch the entire chat below. A few excerpts follow (transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET).

On whether Ronnie James Dio had an acrimonious relationship with Ozzy Osbourne, whom he replaced in BLACK SABBATH in 1980:

Wendy: "Not at all, no. Not at all. We saw him quite often at the Rainbow or different places, just, 'Hi, how are you doing? What's going on?' They weren't great friends, but they were always very polite, very nice to each other. Always."

On BLACK SABBATH's 1992 album "Dehumanizer", the first SABBATH studio album to feature Dio since 1981's "Mob Rules":

Wendy: "It's a very underrated album. And it's a great album. It came out in the '90s right when grunge hit, so everybody was now listening to grunge. Actually, we are re-releasing that very soon — next year."

On original BLACK SABBATH drummer Bill Ward's involvement with HEAVEN & HELL, the band comprising of Dio, along with SABBATH guitarist Tony Iommi and bassist Geezer Butler:

Wendy: "They wanted to go back this last time with Bill, but Bill had some health problems so he couldn't do it, so we got Vinny [Appice] back again. He's doing great. Bill's doing great.

On the last time she's seen RAINBOW guitarist Ritchie Blackmore:

Wendy: "Oh my goodness. Twenty years, maybe."

On Ronnie James Dio's "happiest times":

Wendy: "SABBATH. A lot of different times, but his favorite band was SABBATH. I was really glad that he got to reunite with the band and do that last album, and the tour because they all loved each other and they were playing amazing. You'd never know that Ronnie was sick. He was amazing until the last note and I think Ronnie could never have lost his voice or grown old. That's the only thing I say about him dying when he did — he died on a high note."

Back in 2011, Universal/Sanctuary released a deluxe edition of "Dehumanizer". With a lineup completed by founding members Iommi and Butler, and drumming duties carried out by Appice, "Dehumanizer" is arguably one of SABBATH's heaviest albums. This edition was expanded with the single edit of "Master Of Insanity", an alternate version of "Letters From Earth" that originally appeared as the B-side to the "TV Crimes" single, and a version of "Time Machine" originally recorded for the soundtrack to the movie "Wayne's World". In addition, the set contained five rare live tracks from Florida's Sundome recorded at the beginning of the "Dehumanizer" tour in July 1992, including a previously unreleased live version of "Master Of Insanity". There were also liner notes from Metal Hammer's Dom Lawson, based on interviews with Iommi.

Wendy Dio recently announced a gala to be held on February 20, 2020, that will commemorate the tenth anniversary of Ronnie James Dio's passing.

Ronnie James Dio passed away from stomach cancer on May 16, 2010 at the age of 67. A few months after his death, MTV Books announced plans to release his memoir, which at the time was going to be called "Rainbow In The Dark: The Autobiography Of Ronnie James Dio".

Wendy is currently working with legendary rock journalist Mick Wall on the long-awaited autobiography of the heavy metal master, which was three-quarters written before the singer's death.

Dio was renowned throughout the world as one of the greatest and most influential vocalists in heavy metal history. The singer, who was recording and touring with BLACK SABBATH offshoot HEAVEN & HELL prior to his illness, was diagnosed with stomach cancer in late 2009. He underwent chemotherapy and made what is now his final public appearance in April 2010 at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards in Los Angeles.

ROBERT PLANT Is 'Sure' He Will Make Another Album With ALISON KRAUSS

Robert Plant says that he is certain he will make another album with Alison Krauss. Released in 2007, their "Raising Sand" collaboration won Grammy Awards for "Album Of The Year", "Best Contemporary Folk/Americana Album", "Record Of The Year" for "Please Read The Letter", "Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals" for "Rich Woman", and "Best Country Collaboration With Vocals" for "Killing The Blues".

When asked if there will be a follow-up to "Raising Sand", Plant told Classic Rock magazine: "Oh, I'm sure, yeah. I see Alison a lot and talk to her a lot, and [producer] T Bone [Burnett] too. The reality is that I ran back once before, and [BAND OF JOY bandmate] Patty [Griffin] had made her 'American Kid' record and was touring with that. And I think once you start splintering off and going different ways, and you're a stranger in a place where people still think there’s a mirror ball rotating around your head, it's really good to dig in with the reality of the [SENSATIONAL] SPACE SHIFTERS. There's no greater thing than being on stage when these guys are in full flight."

Back in 2015, Republic Records released the "Love The Coopers" official soundtrack album, featuring the studio reunion of Plant and Krauss on their Christmas original "The Light Of Christmas Day".

In a 2014 interview with Rolling Stone, Plant revealed that he had been talking with Krauss about recording a follow-up to "Raising Sand". "Alison called me six weeks ago," he says. "She said, 'Should we make a new record?'"

Plant previously tried to make a "Raising Sand" follow-up when he and Krauss finished their tour in 2009. The LED ZEPPELIN frontman entered a California studio with producer Daniel Lanois and attempted to write material he could sing with Krauss. "We walked away from that and took our toys back," said Plant. "Dan and I wrote about five songs in two or three days up in Silver Lake. They were pretty good, but they didn't really lend themselves to a vocal collaboration, so I took them away. And then Alison went back to the fat guys with beards [her longtime band UNION STATION] and she made a pretty good record within that genre."

Completing the HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES live lineup are rock star musician friends Glen Sobel (ALICE COOPER) on drums, Chris Wyse (THE CULT) on bass, and Buck Johnson (AEROSMITH) on keyboard and vocals.

OZZY OSBOURNE To Join POST MALONE For AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS Performance

According to Billboard, Ozzy Osbourne will join rapper Post Malone, Travis Scott and Andrew Watt for an appearance at the 2019 American Music Awards. They will perform Post Malone's song "Take What You Want", which debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart at No. 8. The track marked Osbourne's first Hot 100 top 10 in over 30 years, as the BLACK SABBATH singer broke the record for the most time between top 10s in the chart's 61-year history. The song appears on Post Malone's new LP "Hollywood's Bleeding", which landed at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

The 2019 American Music Awards, hosted by Ciara, will air live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on November 24 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

Watt, who produced Ozzy's new studio album, connected with Osbourne after meeting Ozzy's daughter Kelly at a friend's party and pitching her on the idea of Post and Ozzy collaborating together.

In an interview with The Sun, Ozzy credited the Post Malone collaboration with getting him "off his arse." The singer, who was left in intensive care earlier this year after a fight with pneumonia, explained: "I'd never even heard of this kid. He wanted me to sing on his song 'Take What You Want', so I did and then one thing led to another. I started recording a new album with Post Malone's producer Andrew Watt. It's only nine tracks but it was a catalyst to get me to where I am today.

"If it wasn't for making this record, I would still be on traction, thinking, 'I'm going to be lying here forever.' I've missed music so badly. My fans are so loyal and so good. Up until making the album, I thought I was dying. But that got me off my arse."

"Hollywood's Bleeding" is the follow-up to Post Malone's 2018 album "Beerbongs & Bentleys". That record topped the Billboard 200 albums chart in May of last year. The same month, streaming service Spotify said the LP had broken the first-week streaming record, with more than 236 million streams in the United States and more than 411 million worldwide.

Earlier this year, Malone (whose real name is Austin Post) earned four Grammy nominations, including album of the year for "Beerbongs & Bentleys".

He took home the top rap song trophy at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards for "Rockstar" alongside collaborator 21 Savage, as well as song of the year at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards for the same track.

Video: KING DIAMOND Performs In Baltimore

Fan-filmed video footage of KING DIAMOND's November 11 performance at the Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric in Baltimore, Maryland can be seen below.

Earlier this month, KING DIAMOND released a new song called "Masquerade Of Madness". Mixed by Andy La Rocque and King Diamond at Sonic Train Studios, the track will appear on KING DIAMOND's first studio album in 12 years, "The Institute", which will be released in 2020 via Metal Blade Records.

King Diamond commented: "'Masquerade Of Madness' is one of the first KING DIAMOND studio songs in a long time. It will be featured on a future two-album horror concept story, of which the first part is titled 'The Institute'.

"The style is very classic KING DIAMOND with lots of dynamics and limited amounts of compression to achieve very natural sounding vocals and instruments throughout the song. You'll find some complex orchestrations, including the typical choir works you're used to hearing from KING DIAMOND, and a special thought process bringing vocals back to the forefront: 'All vocals are lead vocals.'

"Both Andy and I are presently working on several different songs with high potential for the upcoming album; all of which are absolute killers. We will continue this work when we're back from our North American tour in December, during which you can hear the live version of 'Masquerade Of Madness'. For now, we hope you'll enjoy the brand new studio version of 'Masquerade Of Madness'."

This past March, King Diamond told Full Metal Jackie's nationally syndicated radio show that the next album from his namesake band will be "absolutely gruesome. The storyline is… well, it's in a way where I can't even put it into just one album," he said. "So, it has to be over two albums. And it's really planned out to work in a very special way with the show as well. So the show is being built right now in Denmark and it's built around that story, so that it really can go hand in hand. Right now, I already know how the production will develop for the next tour, after this tour, so that when we do part two of that story, I know how the whole thing ends, of course, already, and I know how the production is gonna change and how it's gonna be culminating in one very, very big thing. So it's a long project, several years. Actually, the next three years are gonna be very, very intense for us. There is a lot of things that is in the planning. Also, after we signed up with 5B [artist] management, a lot of good stuff is coming out of that, piece by piece. We are getting a plan that is gonna be amazing for our fans for the next three years — something that's gonna come that they would not expect, I think. So some very, very cool prospects.

"[The album] has something to do with parallel worlds and punishment, and other stuff like that. You'll see us torture our dear little Abigail on stage. It's part of the story; you'll see it. But it's great to be here enjoying life. And [my son] Byron, it's been almost two years now [since he was born], and it's incredible. But it hasn't changed me very much when it comes to what I stand for and the stories that's coming and the musical style that's coming. It's total, utter KING DIAMOND."

KING DIAMOND's next album is said to be a story set in a 1920s mental institution. "I chose that because I think it's a very creepy scenario," King told Full Metal Jackie. "And the thing is that I know that somebody has talked about that, but that's not the setting, actually. There's a lot of other things involved, but the setting looks as if it was a 1920s asylum — that's exactly what it looks like. And some of the things that go on that we're gonna show onstage is also things that certainly was going on back then, when medicine was beginning to take a beneficial turn in history and actually being able to help human beings live longer. But there was some experimentation going on, too, that was absolutely gruesome. Some of that is involved in the story, but it's something totally different. Once you get to the second part of the story, you will begin to suddenly understand that, 'What the hell is going on here? What is this really about?' 'Cause there's a whole different story that will not come to you till second part. But in the first part, you're gonna get to know a lot people at a certain place.

"Instead of telling the story — it's way too much — but some of it takes place here, this world, and some of it takes place in a parallel world. And there's a correlation between what happened to me and what happens to some people in this place and where they suddenly appear. And you will find out why they are there, how they appear there and the places down the road. I won't say too much right now, but it's gonna be very creepy."

KING DIAMOND received a Grammy nomination in the "Best Metal Performance" category for the track "Never Ending Hill" off the band's last album, 2007's "Give Me Your Soul … Please".

"Give Me Your Soul ... Please" sold 4,500 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 174 on The Billboard 200 chart.

KING DIAMOND released a DVD/Blu-ray, "Songs For The Dead Live", in January via Metal Blade Records. The set captures 1987's seminal "Abigail" album in its entirety, twice, and in very different locales: Belgium's Graspop Metal Meeting in June 2016 and Philadelphia's Fillmore in November 2015. The performances feature KING DIAMOND's current band, comprising of guitarists Andy LaRocque and Mike Wead, bassist Pontus Egberg and drummer Matt Thompson.

Report: MÖTLEY CRÜE, DEF LEPPARD And POISON To Team Up For 2020 U.S. Stadium Tour

According to Rolling Stone, MÖTLEY CRÜE will hit the road next year for a U.S. tour with fellow hard rock acts POISON and DEF LEPPARD. Sources have confirmed to the magazine that the three acts will perform at stadiums around the country.

The upcoming trek means that the four members of MÖTLEY CRÜE have collectively agreed to rip up the "cessation of touring" contract that they signed in 2014 preventing any of them from performing under the CRÜE name in the future.

In 2015, MÖTLEY CRÜE completed "The Final Tour", closing the book on the band's iconic career after performing a total of 164 shows in 72 markets, grossing over $100 million.

The Rolling Stone report comes just days after THE BLACK CROWES' manager, Mark DiDia of Red Light Management, stated during an appearance on "The Howard Stern Wrap-Up Show" that MÖTLEY CRÜE, DEF LEPPARD and POISON were teaming up for a 2020 tour.

"There's a MÖTLEY CRÜE / POISON / DEF LEPPARD tour coming, there's a RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE... AC/DC's coming," DiDia said. "There's a lot of rock coming out next year. God bless Drake and Billie Eilish and all that, they're streaming music and they have a lot of followers. Rock doesn't stream, but there's a thing that's happening. I think people miss guitars and bass and drums."

Last month, Radar Online reported that MÖTLEY CRÜE had been offered $150 million by Live Nation to reunite for a tour but only if singer Vince Neil lost 40 pounds and got treatment. The report also claimed that Neil and drummer Tommy Lee were locked in a war of words as they allegedly bickered over who should go to rehab first.

A week later, Neil took to Twitter to quash the report, insisting that the rumors were false and claiming that he hadn't spoken to any of his bandmates since the March premiere of the film adaptation of their 2001 autobiography "The Dirt". "There is no tension between me and Tommy," he wrote. "Don't believe anything from these so-called gossip sites."

POISON singer Bret Michaels has repeatedly stated in recent interviews that his band will return to the road in 2020 and he claimed he was "working real hard" to put together an "incredible" and "really awesome" package tour with other acts.

Last Friday, MÖTLEY CRÜE fueled rumors of a possible reunion by promoting an online petition asking the group to come back. The band's official Twitter account shared a link to a Change.org petition started by "Motley Mann", and included the brief message, "This is interesting…"

Back in 2014, bassist Nikki Sixx told Rolling Stone that MÖTLEY CRÜE couldn't legally play again after the completion of the farewell tour. "The only loophole is if all four band members agreed to do it, we could override our own contract," he said. "But we know that will never happen. There are people in this band who will refuse to ever do it again, and you're talking to one of them. There is no amount of money that would ever make me do it again because I have such pride in how we’re ending it.

"If anybody ever — and I don't believe anybody ever would — would call any other bandmembers and say, 'Hey, it's been 10 years, let's just do 10 shows. A million a pop,' it could never happen unless all four bandmembers agreed," Sixx added. "And if we did agree, the way we've set it up — including this conversation right now — we'd have so much egg on our face. We have so much pride that that alone would stop it."

After the members of MÖTLEY CRÜE reunited last year to record four new songs for "The Dirt" film, some fans assumed that the group would be open to the idea of playing together again at a special event to promote the movie. But Sixx shot down the idea earlier this year, telling Rolling Stone: "Sometimes I look out at my friends, like the guys in AEROSMITH and METALLICA, and I'm, like, 'God damn it, did we retire too soon?' But there will be no one-offs in our future. Maybe we'll just get together and jam in [guitarist] Mick Mars's front room."

In support of their upcoming box set, Pink Floyd have released a 2019 remix of their live performance of The Wall album classic "Run Like Hell", featured on the 1988 live album, Delicate Sound Of Thunder. Watch the video below:

On November 29, Pink Floyd Records will release Pink Floyd The Later Years, a 16-disc set (5xCDs, 6xBlu-Rays, 5xDVDs) covering the material created by David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright from 1987 onwards. Watch an unboxing video below:

The period generated record sales of over 40 million worldwide and included three studio albums: A Momentary Lapse Of Reason, The Division Bell and The Endless River as well as two live albums: Delicate Sound Of Thunder and Pulse. With additional production from David Gilmour and Andy Jackson, over 13 hours of unreleased audio and audiovisual material, including the sought-after 1989 Venice and 1990 Knebworth concerts, Pink Floyd The Later Years is a must for all fans.

A multi-media, deluxe box set, Pink Floyd The Later Years presents an expanded view of the Pink Floyd story from 1987 to the present and kicks off with A Momentary Lapse Of Reason, the album that confirmed Pink Floyd as one of the world’s biggest artists.

The album, presented for the first time in 5.1, has been remixed and updated by David Gilmour and Andy Jackson. The release of The Later Years project gives an opportunity for a fresh overview of the A Momentary Lapse Of Reason album. By returning to some of Richard Wright’s keyboard parts and recording new drum tracks with Nick Mason, producers David Gilmour and Bob Ezrin have restored the creative balance between the three Pink Floyd members.

Throughout 1987 and 1988 the band’s live shows became the largest-grossing concert tour ever to that date and produced the critically acclaimed, Grammy Award nominated, Delicate Sound Of Thunder. Filmed at the Nassau Coliseum in New York State, the concert shows the band on the top of their form. The concert has been fully re-edited and upgraded from the original 35mm film negatives by Aubrey ‘Po’ Powell and Benny Trickett and the sound remixed to 5.1. It also includes "Terminal Frost" and "Welcome To The Machine", two tracks that were not included on the original concert film release. For the first time the concert is available in 5.1 on Blu-ray and DVD.

Two of the most sought-after additions to Pink Floyd The Later Years are the 1989 Venice Concert, performed on a floating stage in front of St Mark’s Square, and the 1990 Silver Clef Winners performance at Knebworth. Both concerts, previously unreleased, are now available on both DVD and Blu-ray (145mins). The momentous Knebworth concert saw Pink Floyd topping the all-star bill (that included Paul McCartney, Dire Straits, Genesis, Phil Collins, Eric Clapton and Tears For Fears), in aid of the Nordoff Robbins charity, profits from which went towards setting up the BRIT School. David Gilmour and Andy Jackson have remixed the audio from this iconic concert and all seven tracks performed on the day (with guest musicians including sax player Candy Dulfer, the original The Great Gig In The Sky vocalist Clare Torry, keyboard player Michael Kamen and Sam Brown with her mother, Vicki, on vocals), are released here as well as for the first time ever on CD.

1994’s album The Division Bell sold over 12 million copies, having debuted at No 1 in the UK, the USA, Australia and New Zealand. It stayed at the top of the US charts for 4 weeks, and also went to No 1 in six other countries. The resulting tour was captured and recorded for the concert release Pulse. This release contains the entire Pulse live concert film, re-edited and upgraded from the original masters, from the groundbreaking Earl’s Court gigs, and available for the first time on Blu-ray. Also uncovered for the first time is footage of the band in rehearsals on October 20, 1994 performing "A Great Day For Freedom" and "Lost For Words".

In 2014, Pink Floyd released The Endless River, comprising mostly instrumental and ambient music based on material recorded during The Division Bell sessions. Featuring David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright, additional material was recorded in 2013 and 2014, with one song, "Louder Than Words", with lyrics by author & novelist Polly Samson (the primary lyricist for The Division Bell album). The Endless River became the most pre-ordered album of all time on Amazon UK and debuted at number one in several countries. The vinyl edition was the fastest-selling UK vinyl release since 1997. Included here for the first time is the never previously seen specially commissioned full 52-minute The Endless River film by Ian Emes, famed for his work with Pink Floyd, including his animations for "One Of These Days", "Speak To Me", "Time" and "On The Run".

Rounding off the package are hours of unreleased bonus materials including music videos, documentary footage, bonus live tracks, upgraded tour screen films and documentaries. It includes the first ever release, on Blu-ray, DVD and 7” vinyl, of the last live performance of Pink Floyd with David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright together in 2007. This special performance of Arnold Layne took place at the Syd Barrett Tribute Concert at The Barbican on 10 May 2007. The full set boasts previously unreleased or remixed audio, plus restored, remastered and re-edited audio-visuals including unreleased concert footage and promo clips.

With the help of Nick Mason and the Pink Floyd archive, the box set comes with reproductions of tour artwork, posters, programmes, tour laminates, lyric book and much more including two 7” vinyl singles, (the live version of "Arnold Layne" performed at the Syd Barrett Tribute Concert in 2007 and "Lost For Words" from the Pulse tour rehearsals at Earl’s Court), in new picture sleeves and etched image B-sides. Also included is a brand new 60-page hardback book of photos, designed by Aubrey Powell of Hipgnosis and Peter Curzon of StormStudios, including many previously unseen images.

The 5 CDs are encased in their own 40-page hardback book with an extensive guide to all content, tracklists and credits.

There will also be a 2-LP / 1-CD ‘Highlights’ package. It comes in a gatefold sleeve (for both 1-CD and 2-LP), and each will contain a 24-page booklet containing previously unseen and rare photos.

BLACK SABBATH's TONY IOMMI Mourns Death Of Legendary British Photographer TERRY O'NEILL

BLACK SABBATH guitarist Tony Iommi has reacted to the passing of Terry O'Neill, the British photographer known for his famous shots of celebrities in the 1960s and 1970s.

Earlier today, Iommi took to his social media to write: "Sad to hear about Terry O'Neil, he was a really nice guy and it was an honour to have him take the portrait shot for my autobiography."

According to the BBC, O'Neill died on Saturday after a battle with prostate cancer. He was 81.

Released in hardback in November 2011, Tony's memoir, "Iron Man: My Journey Through Heaven And Hell With Black Sabbath", landed at position No. 35 on the New York Times "Hardcover Nonfiction" best sellers list.

Da Capo reportedly paid a six-figure amount at auction for the rights to the 352-page book, which was described as "'Angela's Ashes' meets 'The Ground Beneath Her Feet' meets 'Spinal Tap'" by Foundry Literary + Media co-founder Peter McGuigan, who completed the North American rights deal for the memoir.

In an interview with Guitar World magazine, Iommi explained how his autobiography came together. "I had a chap called TJ Lammers, who I met many, many years ago when he used to work at Phonogram Records," he said. "He later became a journalist and he had his own magazine. He lives in Holland and we've stayed in touch over the years. I've had a few people say, 'Oh, I can write a book for you,' but I wanted a different outlook to the normal music journalist, and that's what happened. He came over to England and stayed with me for a few days. Then he'd write it up, come back again and do more. The whole thing took a couple years to finish."

When asked how his book is different to the typical rock biography, Iommi said, "I don't know. I don't read rock biographies, so it could be the same, it could be different. It's just my life, really. It's about what happened and what I grew up from, and how I've gone through life to where I am now. It's something I probably should have done a long time ago because there are so many books out now. I've been meaning to do it for many, many years but never got around to it."

Sad to hear about Terry O’Neil, he was a really nice guy and it was an honour to have him take the portrait shot for my autobiography.

Legendary Guitarist JOHN SYKES Splits With GOLDEN ROBOT RECORDS Without Releasing Long-Awaited New Album

Legendary English guitarist John Sykes (TYGERS OF PAN TANG, THIN LIZZY, WHITESNAKE, BLUE MURDER, SYKES) has parted ways with Golden Robot Records without releasing a single record through the label.

Sykes's partnership with the Australian company was first announced in January. At the time, John promised that his his first album in 19 years would arrive before the end of 2019. However, things apparently went south shortly after the signing, with Sykes now accusing the label of making "little attempt to move things forward despite our best efforts and patience."

On Saturday (November 16), John released the following statement via his official web site:

"Dear John Sykes fans. We regret to announce that our partnership with Golden Robot Records has ceased.

"Unfortunately after the signing, contractual agreements were unfulfilled by Golden Robot Records and there was little attempt to move things forward despite our best efforts and patience. When written contracts revert to unfulfilled verbal promises all integrity in a company becomes lost. We simply cannot work this way.

"We want the fans to understand that we are fully aware of the frustration this will cause. We now feel that the best course of action is to release the album under our own control."

Sykes's as-yet-untitled new disc (its previously announced title of "Sy-Ops" has now apparently been scrapped) is expected to include such tracks as "Dawning Of A Brand New Day", "Believe In Yourself", "My Guitar" and "Out Alive".

Speaking to Reality Check TV at this past January's Hall Of Heavy Metal History event in Anaheim, California, Sykes stated about his absence from the rock scene: "I'm looking forward to getting out on the road and playing again. I kind of go underground and stay there for a while. I don't know, man. Sometimes I just take off and shut it all down. But I'm getting the itch, I've been having the itch to get back out and play, so I'm looking forward to that."

Asked about the musical direction of his new record, Sykes said: "It's kind of got flavors of old and new. But I think it'll be pleasing to a lot of people to hear it. I think it'll touch a fair few people if they check it out. It's a good, solid album — it's not just a couple of tracks and a load of fillers."

Sykes's band for his upcoming tour is expected to include his onetime BLUE MURDER bandmate Tony Franklin (bass) and Fred Boswell Jr. (drums), both of whom are pictured with John below.

John's best-known work was when he joined WHITESNAKE and co-wrote the band's self-titled seventh studio album, released in 1987. It produced a major power ballad hit, "Is This Love", along with the No. 1 hit "Here I Go Again". The album was a major crossover hit, eventually selling over eight million copies in the U.S. alone.

Sykes announced his departure from THIN LIZZY in July 2009, explaining that "I feel it's time to get back to playing my own music."

Report: EDDIE VAN HALEN Released From Hospital After Painful Reaction to Cancer Drugs

According to TMZ, Eddie Van Halen is back home after spending several days in a hospital due to complications from his cancer treatment.

Sources close to the legendary guitarist tell the site he was admitted to the hospital last week with intestinal issues and abdominal pain, both the result of a bad reaction to the drugs Eddie is reportedly taking to battle throat cancer. He was released Sunday and he is said to be doing fine now.

There have been a lot of rumors regarding the VAN HALEN guitarist's supposedly worsening health, with TMZ reporting recently that Van Halen has been traveling between the U.S. and Germany for cancer treatment going on several years now. The site later said that "the sad medical news had some folks thinking Eddie was on his death bed ... but we're told that's anything but the case."

Last month, Eddie stopped by a McLaren dealership in Beverly Hills and mingled with the sales team, taking pictures and even giving one fan a kiss. A few days later, he was photographed at a spinal neurosurgeon's office in Beverly Hills, California.

A rep for Van Halen had no comment on TMZ's initial report when reached by Fox News.

Earlier this year, rumors were rampant that the classic-era lineup of VAN HALEN would reunite for the first time since 1984. It's unclear why the tour didn't happen, though there has been online chatter that a health setback involving Eddie Van Halen might have been responsible.

VAN HALEN has been inactive since it completed its U.S. tour in October 2015 in Los Angeles, California.

KISS To Play Concert For Great White Sharks Without PAUL STANLEY

KISS's previously announced concert for great white sharks will go ahead without the band's frontman, Paul Stanley.

Although KISS has canceled its Australian farewell tour after Stanley was diagnosed with a bad case of the flu, the legendary rockers will still perform under the sea for great white sharks and eight fans separated from them by a small submarine.

After KISS and its fans travel aboard separate boats off the coast of Port Lincoln in South Australia, the band will stay above board on one vessel, and the fans will be lowered beneath the surface of the water from a second boat into the viewing sub in an area known for shark activity.

Tour group Adventure Bay Charters said: "Due to band member Paul Stanley's illness, KISS concert promoters One World Entertainment and TEG Live announced the tour was cancelled. We are sorry to hear this news that many fans lost the opportunity to join KISS last road trip concert, and we wish the best for Paul Stanley and a speedy recovery.

"We are glad to announce that we will keep hosting KISS concert for the remaining band members, the shark trip will still go Monday, the Ocean will rock&roll! 8 lucky customers will jump on our shark warrior, using our unique underwater sub, enjoy a KISS live concert and Great White Sharks!"

KISS was forced to cancel the Australian leg of its "End Of The Road" world tour due to Stanley's ongoing illness.

Just days after rescheduling the start of the tour, KISS scrapped all of this month's shows and the rescheduled Perth concert on December 3.

KISS's concert this month will mark only the fourth time the band has performed as a trio. KISS previously played as a three-piece in 1982 when original guitarist Ace Frehley reportedly refused to show up during a lip-synced performance of "I" from Studio 54, broadcast via satellite to the Sanremo Festival in Italy); in 2007 when a heart issue caused Stanley to be rushed to the hospital prior to KISS's concert at the Soboba Casino in San Jacinto, California; and in 2016, when Stanley missed a charity show after tearing a bicep.

CYHRA Release "No Halos In Hell" Guitar Playthrough Video; New Album Out Now

Cyhra released their sophomore album, No Halos In Hell, today (November 15) via Nuclear Blast. To celebrate the release accordingly, Cyhra show you their new guitar playthrough video for the title track, "No Halos In Hell":

Founded by vocalist Jake E (ex-Amaranthe) and guitarist Jesper Strömblad (ex-In Flames), Cyhra has gone from being reminiscent of the duo's former bands to having a unique identity. In fact, No Halos In Hell is one of those rare albums that defies being neatly placed in a genre box; coming out heavy and dynamic, the record is loaded with melodic vocal hooks that stay nailed to the brain for days, achieving maximum impact throughout. Fusing a relentless energy and heaviness the best way possible was Cyhra's main focus this time out. The addition of guitarist Euge Valovirta (ex-Shining) as a full member has raised the creative process to a level where, according to Jake E, "Everyone is playing to the point of what is best for the song.” No Halos In Hell is one of those rare albums that defies being neatly placed in a genre box: delivering tunes that are both heavy and dynamic, the record is loaded with melodic vocal hooks and musical ear-worms.

Produced by Jacob Hansen and co-produced by the band's very own Jake E, the album is filled with 12 live-oriented songs, ensuring maximum catchiness.

No Halos In Hell is available as 2 CD digipak, black vinyl or download. The bonus CD included in the limited digipak includes six additional songs, three of them being exclusive acoustic versions. You can order the format of your choice here.

Tracklisting:

"Out Of My Life"

"Battle From Within"
"I Am The One"

Watch JIM MARTIN And ROBERT TRUJILLO Perform FAITH NO MORE's 'We Care A Lot' With INFECTIOUS GROOVES

INFECTIOUS GROOVES performed a cover version of the FAITH NO MORE classic "We Care A Lot" during the band's appearance at this weekend's Sick Bastards Social Fest in Brazil. Fan-filmed video footage of the performance can be seen below.

INFECTIOUS GROOVES' reunited lineup on Sunday, November 17 at Espaço das Américas in São Paulo included frontman Mike Muir, METALLICA bassist Robert Trujillo and ex-FAITH NO MORE guitarist Jim Martin, alongside Brooks Wackerman (AVENGED SEVENFOLD) on drums and Dean Pleasants (SUICIDAL TENDENCIES) on second guitar. The event, which was curated by Muir, celebrated 34 years of the Brazilian radio station 89 A Rádio Rock. Also appearing with the band for "We Care A Lot" and a performance of the SUICIDAL TENDENCIES classic "Subliminal" was Trujillo's son Ty.

Jim, who was filling in for original INFECTIOUS GROOVES guitarist Adam Siegel, previously played with INFECTIOUS GROOVES in 2013 at METALLICA's Orion Music + More festival at Belle Isle in Detroit, Michigan and again in 2014 at the Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood, California.

INFECTIOUS GROOVES was formed soon after Trujillo joined SUICIDAL TENDENCIES in 1989. Muir and Trujillo got together with some friends to write song that centered more around the bass, but with the intent of giving everyone else a whole lot of freedom.

"SEX PISTOLS and PARLIAMENT were my two favorite bands when I was young," commented Muir. "People think they're completely different but I saw a lot of similarities, even if musically they were categorized as completely different styles. There's something beautiful about breaking rules that never should have been made."

SLIPKNOT's SID WILSON To Release 'Sexcapades Of The Hopeless Robotic Vol. 2' Solo Album In December

Sidney George Wilson, better known as the mask-wearing turntablist for heavy metal group SLIPKNOT, will release the second of his trilogy of albums, "∫∑x©∆p∆D∑∫ øƒ †h3 høP∑£3∫∫ ®øbø†¡¢ Vol. 2" (Sexcapades Of The Hopeless Robotic Vol. 2) on December 13. The effort will feature guest appearances by Killah Priest, Rome Fortune, DJ Q*bert, Bizzythowed, Deewillalien, Sluggo and Arius.

A preview of the disc is available below.

The first album in the trilogy, "∑x©∆p∆D∑∫ øƒ †h3 høP∑£3∫∫ ®øbø†¡¢", arrived in August 2018.

In a 2018 interview with PureGrainAudio, Wilson spoke about his evolution into a turntablist. He said: "My grandma had a piano or keyboard in her house. She would play church songs and stuff like that. I would tinker around on that when I was younger, and she bought me a couple keyboards. One of them had lights on the keys that would light up when you were supposed to hit the keys. I had a bunch of cards that you would put in the keyboards that had all these classical songs, so I kind of learned to play those a little bit when I was a little kid. But there was just some other shit that I was fiddling with because I was interested in a lot of different noisemakers. My grandma used to have a lot of harmonicas around the house from her husband, my grandfather. I used to fuck around with those when I was a kid, too.

"I tried all different kinds of stuff," he continued. "I messed around with drums. I tried the saxophone. Then I really liked bass guitar; I latched on to that big time. Then writing, doing poetry, and then around junior high, I started writing some raps. Then when I started DJing, I had a bass guitar that an ex-girlfriend had given me. When I was out of town DJing, she came and took the guitar back and told my mom she could have it back or something. [Laughs] So then I just had the turntables and focused all my energy into the turntables big time... I tried to be in the background more, making beats, producing, which is good for my skills... At some point, I started doing that again and I redeveloped back into hip-hop."

SLIPKNOT is continuing to tour in support of its sixth album, "We Are Not Your Kind", which was released in August via Roadrunner.
