ASTAROTH INCARNATE Release Official Lyric Video For "I Am Fire / I Am Death (Omega)"

Toronto-based black metal band Astaroth Incarnate have released a video for their song "I Am Fire / I Am Death (Omega)". The song is from their upcoming Ascendance EP.

The band comments: "'I Am Fire / I Am Death (Omega)' is the continuation of the first track ('Alpha') that we released, and it continues on with the apocalyptic story concept from where it left of at the end of 'Alpha'. If you paid close attention to 'Alpha', you would've noticed four different characters (who represent the four horsemen of the apocalypse and are color-coded accordingly) intertwined in Death with the primary Astaroth character who represents Life. Therefore, Omega continues the story as representing the Astaroth character as someone who is beyond Death and one who incites the outcome of the eventual demise of a human."

GARY MOORE’s Guitars To Be Auctioned Off In December

According to Belfast Telegraph, guitars and amplifiers owned by the late Belfast-born Thin Lizzy guitarist Gary Moore are going up for auction. They are part of the largest collection of Moore-owned equipment ever to come up for auction since his death eight years ago.

They go on sale on December 11 at Wiltshire-based Gardiner Houlgate, a specialist in guitars.

The 87 lots include Moore's amplifiers, stage equipment, effects pedals, synthesizers and a range of guitars, including the 2001 Gibson ES-335 featured on the cover of his 2006 album Close As You Can Get.

Most items were used by Moore on stage or in the studio.

Auctioneer Luke Hobbs said: "It was a little eerie to find the pen markings made by Gary Moore. They look like they could have been drawn on yesterday. "It's very hard to estimate the total value of a collection like this but we're thinking it's in the range of £30,000 to £40,000.”

NONPOINT Recruits Guitarist JASON ZEILSTRA

NONPOINT has announced the addition of guitarist Jason Zeilstra to the group's ranks.

The band said in a statement: "[We are] proud to announce that this Chicago resident and his talents, work ethic (and coincidentally his hair) are NONPOINT battle tested and ready to go."

NONPOINT will be on tour with HELLYEAH between November 15 and December 21.

This past August, guitarist BC Kochmit announced his departure from NONPOINT in order to focus on his family life.

The guitarist, who joined NONPOINT in 2014 as the replacement for Dave Lizzio, played on the band's last two studio albums, 2016's "The Poison Red" and 2018's "X".

NONPOINT is touring in support of its tenth album, "X", which was released in August 2018. The follow-up to 2016's "The Poison Red" was produced by Fred Archambault, who has previously worked with ATREYU and AVENGED SEVENFOLD, among others.

For its dates in September and October, NONPOINT was joined by former MACHINE HEAD and current ILL NIÑO guitarist Ahrue Luster.

THE BLACK CROWES have been inactive since they played their final show in December 2013.

Steve Gorman, who played for THE BLACK CROWES for 27 years, recently said that he would not be interested in participating in a BLACK CROWES reunion tour if he was approached by Chris and Rich Robinson.

"They're not about to [ask me to take part]," he told Joe Rock of the West Babylon, New York radio station WBAB. "They're not about to say, 'We wanna give up money.' I mean, that's what this tour is about. When you're booking a tour before you have a band, you're not booking a tour for musical connectedness and satisfaction. That said, they have every right to do it, and I don't begrudge anybody that can make a living playing music, especially songs they wrote. But they're not considering that at all. I think they're in a place where, I would imagine, they're not interested in having anybody from the past work with them. It just makes it cleaner and easier, because to bring people back to do it right, you have a lot of explaining to do, you have a lot of apologizing to do, and you've gotta make up for a lot of damage you've caused. I don't think either one of those guys has any interest in those steps; they just wanna go get what they need. So, I could play the game of, 'What if they call?' It's not going to happen."

Last year, Chris put together a band called AS THE CROW FLIES to perform primarily BLACK CROWES songs. Meanwhile, Rich was most recently involved with THE MAGPIE SALUTE in which he was joined by Marc Ford from THE BLACK CROWES, bassist Sven Pipien (also from the CROWES) along with lead singer John Hogg (HOOKAH BROWN, MOKE), drummer Joe Magistro and guitarist Nico Bereciartua.

Gorman's book, "Hard To Handle: The Life And Death Of The Black Crowes - A Memoir", was released in September.

PHILIP H. ANSELMO & THE ILLEGALS: Video Of Entire Asheville, North Carolina Concert

Fan-filmed video footage of PHILIP H. ANSELMO & THE ILLEGALS's entire November 3 concert at PNC Arena in Asheville, North Carolina as the support act for SLAYER can be seen below (courtesy of YouTube user "Dennis Justus").

This past summer, Philip Anselmo spoke to Revolver about his decision to play a number of PANTERA songs during the current tour with his solo band, PHILIP H. ANSELMO & THE ILLEGALS.

"We were about a month out from touring [the second ILLEGALS album, 'Choosing Mental Illness As A Virtue'] when Vince Paul [Abbott, PANTERA drummer] passed away and that was horrific and so unexpected," he said. "It was something that stopped me dead in my tracks. I was in my kitchen and I just dropped to the floor and just had to breathe for a little while. That's when the big plea for us to do more PANTERA songs became irresistible. The tribute had to be then. It had to be right. And I never thought it would be THE ILLEGALS. Clearly the mission for us was to be a sweaty hole-in-the wall death-metal band. I've got to say huge props to them for learning the PANTERA material. They didn't even flinch, man, and just went for it.

"The vibe from most of the shows have been so fucking great, man," he continued. "And what really tickles me is seeing the young bloods out in the audience, freaking out on the PANTERA stuff. And you know it's their parents who got them into PANTERA."

On the topic of whether his PANTERA tribute will continue into the future, or if it's something he is doing right now, Anselmo said: "I'd like it to be just for now. For me, PANTERA was PANTERA and there's no substitute. So playing those songs, I didn't mind doing it for a one-off thing here and there with a group of guys — we used to do it in 'Metal Masters', [with] Kerry King and the ANTHRAX guys. But I wasn't going to learn a set of PANTERA with another band. I didn't feel entitled to do that. It's not like I feel entitled now. I feel now it's necessary."

Asked if Vinnie's death made him think any differently about the PANTERA days and the aftermath, Anselmo said: "The only thing I can say is, if I could go visit a 20-something-year-old version of myself, I would say, 'Put the fucking bottle down, son.' Treat your body like an elite athlete and make sure that there is a very clear communication between myself and the rest of my band.

"It's a frustrating thing because my lower back injury was so fucking bad, it was torture from the second my eyes opened until I fell asleep," he said. "I made every rookie mistake in the book. I ended up sleepwalking through the fucking day because I didn't want to exist. It felt like my skeleton had betrayed me. It was a common lower injury, a blown-out disc. It was just at the wrong time — [1994's] 'Far Beyond Driven' was just getting wrapped up. And once I got that phone call, 'Hey, your record's No. 1,' I knew what was going to happen — world tour after tour after tour. That was the big dream anyway. And I couldn't do it, man. Neurosurgery was still barbaric at that time. I had to wait until 2006 to have any surgery at all and by then three discs had blown. I had the second surgery in 2018. I'm doing tons better now. You're thrust into a circumstance and I wouldn't wish that on anybody, man."

Up until his death in June 2018, Vinnie remained on non-speaking terms with Anselmo, whom the drummer indirectly blamed for the death of "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott, who was his brother.

Vinnie Paul and Dimebag co-founded PANTERA. When PANTERA broke up in 2003, they formed DAMAGEPLAN. On December 8, 2004, while performing with DAMAGEPLAN at the Alrosa Villa in Columbus, Ohio, Dimebag was shot and killed onstage by a troubled schizophrenic who believed that the members of PANTERA were stealing his thoughts.

Vinnie Paul died of dilated cardiomyopathy, an enlarged heart, as well as severe coronary artery disease. His death was the result of chronic weakening of the heart muscle — basically meaning his heart couldn't pump blood as well as a healthy heart.

Vinnie was buried on June 30, 2018 next to his brother and their mother, Carolyn, at Moore Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Arlington, Texas.

Banger Films, in association with Revolver Films and Bell Media's streaming service Crave, is currently in production on "Triumph: Lay It On The Line", the first-ever feature documentary about the dramatic career of the legendary Canadian power trio.

Produced by Emmy and Peabody award-winning Banger Films, "Triumph: Lay It On The Line" is a Crave original documentary that's a celebratory, exhilarating thrill ride through the history of one of rock's most unsung bands. Slated for release in 2020, the film covers TRIUMPH's humble beginnings as staples of the GTA circuit in the mid-'70s to their heyday as touring juggernauts, selling out arenas and stadiums all across North America with their legendary spectacular live shows — and way beyond.

Drummer/vocalist Gil Moore, bassist/keyboardist Mike Levine, and guitarist/vocalist Rik Emmett formed TRIUMPH in 1975, and their blend of heavy riff-rockers with progressive odysseys, peppered with thoughtful, inspiring lyrics and virtuosic guitar playing quickly made them a household name in Canada. Anthems like "Lay It On The Line", "Magic Power" and "Fight The Good Fight" broke them in the USA, and they amassed a legion of fiercely passionate fans. But, as a band that suddenly split at the zenith of their popularity, TRIUMPH missed out on an opportunity to say thank you to those loyal and devoted fans, a base that is still active today, three decades later.

After 20 years apart, Emmett, Levine and Moore played at the 2008 editions of the Sweden Rock Festival and Rocklahoma. A DVD of the historic Sweden performance was made available four years later.

Emmett has said in various interviews over the years that he would welcome the chance to play TRIUMPH songs with Moore and Levine again but that those two have been reluctant to commit. "If the carrot was big enough and golden enough, I think it would make Mike and Gil, but especially Gil, do it," Emmett told the QMI Agency back in 2012.

Video: ACE FREHLEY Performs In Dallas

JAM Magazine has uploaded video footage of Ace Frehley performing the song "Rip It Out" on November 9 at Trees in Dallas, Texas. The clip, which was filmed by Metal Dave Media, can be seen below.

Last fall, Frehley parted ways with the solo band that backed him on some of his most recent tours — Richie Scarlet on guitar, Chris Wyse on bass and Scot Coogan on drums/vocals — and replaced them with the musicians that played with KISS bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons on his solo dates: Philip Shouse on bass, Ryan Cook on guitar/vocals and Jeremy Asbrock on guitar/vocals. Rounding out Ace's current band is drummer Matt Starr (MR. BIG).

Asbrock and Shouse are the founders of THEE ROCK N' ROLL RESIDENCY, a popular Nashville tribute band that routinely hosts surprise appearances by such rocks stars as Alice Cooper, Robin Zander (CHEAP TRICK) and Roger Glover (DEEP PURPLE).

Frehley first left KISS in 1982. He rejoined in 1996 and parted ways with the band once again in 2002 after the conclusion of their first "farewell tour." Since his departure, guitarist Tommy Thayer has assumed the role of the Spaceman.

Frehley's latest album, "Spaceman", was released in October 2018 via eOne. Gene co-wrote two tracks on the disc, "Without You I'm Nothing" and "Your Wish Is My Command", the latter of which also features Simmons's bass playing.

Frehley recently completed work on "Origins Vol. 2", the sequel to his 2016 collection of cover songs that inspired the former KISS guitarist. The LP, which is tentatively due in early 2020, will feature guest appearances by Lita Ford (singing "Jumping Jack Flash") and CHEAP TRICK's Robin Zander (singing HUMBLE PIE's "30 Days In The Hole").

RONNIE JAMES DIO: February 2020 'Gala' In Los Angeles To Feature Hologram, Other Bands And A Comedian

At last week's "Bowl For Ronnie" event in Studio City, California, Wendy Dio, widow and longtime manager of Ronnie James Dio, spoke to "The Blairing Out With Eric Blair Show" about the "big gala" which is being planned for early next year to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the legendary singer's passing.

She said (see video below): "On 2/20/20, which is February 20th, 2020, we'll be doing the 10th memorial anniversary gala, and we'll be going through a lot of people that were in Ronnie's life and giving them an award. We'll also have the [Ronnie James Dio] hologram. We'll have other bands playing. We'll have a comedian. It's gonna be a fun night at the Wiltern, off of Wilshire in Los Angeles. And we've got a lot of treats going on. In fact, tomorrow we get the first invitation out for the award show."

Wendy also offered an update on the upcoming documentary that will cover Dio's career from his early days with ELF to his final project, HEAVEN & HELL. She said: "Just signed the papers last week with BMG. So it will be coming. We've started working on it. It's gonna probably take over a year to get through, but it's gonna be fun and interesting."

Regarding some of the previously unseen material that will make an appearance in the documentary, Wendy said: "I found just recently a bunch of Super 8s from 1976 when Ronnie was in RAINBOW, in Japan and in Australia. I haven't seen 'em yet; I'm just having 'em redone. We've got photos of all of us when he was in [BLACK] SABBATH, when we were in Hawaii together. Because Geezer [Butler, SABBATH bassist] and Ronnie were best friends, and we were best friends. So we all hung out together all the time. There's photos of Ronnie with his trumpet that he learned when he was five years old. There's a whole bunch of stuff I have — a whole bunch of stuff."

Earlier this year, Wendy told The Metal Voice that she was hoping that the documentary would receive a theatrical release before being made available on various streaming platforms.

Best known for his work with BLACK SABBATH, RAINBOW and DIO, Ronnie James Dio passed away of stomach cancer on May 16, 2010 at the age of 67. A few months after his death, MTV Books announced plans to release his memoir, which at the time was going to be called "Rainbow In The Dark: The Autobiography Of Ronnie James Dio".

Wendy is currently working with legendary rock journalist Mick Wall on the long-awaited autobiography of the heavy metal master, which was three-quarters written before the singer's death.

Dio was renowned throughout the world as one of the greatest and most influential vocalists in heavy metal history. The singer, who was recording and touring with BLACK SABBATH offshoot HEAVEN & HELL prior to his illness, was diagnosed with stomach cancer in late 2009. He underwent chemotherapy and made what is now his final public appearance in April 2010 at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards in Los Angeles.

RICHIE KOTZEN: New 50-Song Solo Album Due In February

Richie Kotzen (THE WINERY DOGS, POISON, MR. BIG) is currently recording a new 50-song solo album that will be released on February 3, the guitarist's 50th birthday.

Kotzen first teased the release in an August 25 video he posted to Instagram. "I haven't been posting much because I've been busy in the studio working on what will be a new Richie Kotzen album, with new songs that you've never heard before," he said. "I'm going to do something kind of interesting on this record that I'm hopefully going to accomplish. I'm going to release it on my 50th birthday, but there's a catch. There's something that is going to be interesting tied to the record, and no one knows what it is."

Two weeks later, a subsequent Instagram post revealed additional information. "Troubleshooting a small bug in the control room today," Kotzen wrote. "38 songs recorded and mixed... only 12 remain." He included the hashtag "50For50," which was also featured in a subsequent post the following day that displayed a screenshot of the 38-song work-in-progress, which had a running time of two hours and 37 minutes.

Some of Kotzen's tentative new song titles include "Stick The Knife", "When God Made You", "Turning The Table", "Nickel Hustler", "Devil's Hand", "Confession", "Dirty Tricks" and "Mountains".

On September 22, Kotzen posted an update in which he revealed that another five songs had been completed. "Quite excited about that along with knowing I’ve now got 43 out of 50 songs ready for mastering!" he wrote.

Although Kotzen gained international recognition via his work on POISON's 1993 album "Native Tongue", through his three-year stint in MR. BIG (with whom he recorded two albums, 1999's "Get Over It" and 2001's "Actual Size") and as the frontman and lead guitarist of THE WINERY DOGS (a group that also features his former MR. BIG bandmate Billy Sheehan and ex-DREAM THEATER drummer Mike Portnoy), he is also a prolific solo artist who to date has released 20 studio albums.

A little football morning noodling before I watch The Eagles! Actually this is a new off the rack RK model @fender tele I’ve been using recently. I loaded in some new @dimarzioinc pickups which will likely become RK signature model pickups for the next run of Teles. Quite excited about that along with knowing I’ve now got 43 out of fifty songs ready for mastering! #50For50 #newmusic

OZZY OSBOURNE Announces Rescheduled 2020 European Tour With JUDAS PRIEST

Ozzy Osbourne has announced the rescheduled dates for the European leg of his "No More Tours 2".

In early April, Ozzy scrapped all his 2019 tour dates, both in North America and Europe, as he recovered from an injury sustained while dealing with his recent bout of pneumonia. The singer fell at his Los Angeles home, aggravating years-old injuries from his 2003 ATV accident that required new surgery. The European leg of his "No More Tours 2" trek was then rescheduled for January-March 2020, with the North American dates set to follow in May 2020. In October, however, Ozzy released a video message in which he once again announced the postponement of the 2020 European tour and addressed his health status.

The new European tour will kick off on October 23, 2020 in Newcastle, United Kingdom and wrap up on December 7, 2020 in Helsinki, Finland. Support at the shows will come from JUDAS PRIEST.

Ozzy says: "I can't wait to get off my ass and get going again, but you're just going to have to be a bit more patient. I want to be 100% ready to come out and knock your fucking socks off. I'm not retiring, I've still got gigs to do and also there's a new album on the way.

"To the fans, I sincerely thank you for your patience, your loyalty. I love you."

PRIEST frontman Rob Halford says: "We are very grateful for the rock-solid support from our wonderful U.K. and European fans as Ozzy gets well and strong.

"The U.K. and European tour will showcase the very best British metal from the ones that started it all and we proudly look forward to celebrating our 50 heavy metal years together with you."

Tour dates:

Oct. 25 - Glasgow, UK @ SSE Hydro

Oct. 28 - London, UK @ The O2

Last Friday, Ozzy released his first new song in nine years, titled "Under The Graveyard". The track is the first single from his upcoming album, "Ordinary Man", which is due out in early 2020.

The BLACK SABBATH singer collaborated on the album with producer Andrew Watt, who recently oversaw the sessions for a new Post Malone song called "Take What You Want", on which Ozzy contributed guest vocals. That led to Ozzy and Watt working together on Ozzy's 12th solo LP and first since 2010's "Scream".

In addition to Watt on guitars, the LP features Duff McKagan from GUNS N' ROSES on bass and Chad Smith from RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS on drums.

Watch KISS Perform "Goin' Blind" By The Pool On KISS Kruise IX

Check out footage of KISS performing "Goin' Blind" on the pool deck during the recent Kiss Kruise IX (October 30th - November 4th).

Paul Stanley held a Q&A session in his pyjamas for the kids on board the cruise and read a kid-friendly bedtime story. According to Rock And Roll Garage, the chat revolved around a variety of Kiss-related topics, and often the subjects were brought up by the children themselves. The boys, for example, asked why drummer Peter Criss left the band and commented on Eric Carr, also a drummer, who died in 1991.

KISS will resume their End Of The Road World Tour later this month in Australia. To view the complete live itinerary, visit this location.

THE SPIRIT Streaming New Single “Serpent As Time Reveals”

After recently announcing that their sophomore album Cosmic Terror will be released on February 7 via AOP Records, Germany's black/death sensation The Spirit have revealed their first single, “Serpent As Time Reveals”.

“‘Serpent As Time Reveals’ was the first song I wrote for our second album, Cosmic Terror, and by far the one that needed the most time. I would be lying if I said I hadn't felt a certain pressure at the time, after raising the bar for our own standards with our debut. Once the song was finished, it felt like a real liberation for me and served as an essential motivation boost for the songwriting of the rest of the album. We picked the track as our first single, since it seemed like the best transition between the first release and the new one." - M.T.

The result are seven raging anthems, consisting of genuine guitar work, the suffocating emptiness of the cosmos and extensive instrumental passages - which even attracted nearby snakes to the studio's terrace during the recording! And M.T.’s lifelong passion for prog rock can also not be denied at certain moments of the record.

Finalized with a unique cover artwork by French ”Metastazis”-artist Valnoir, Cosmic Terror tears the listener into a musical catharsis and will be released through AOP Records on February 7, 2020.

Cosmic Terror is now ready for pre-order and the seven new tracks will be available in the following formats:

CD (Jewelcase)
Vinyl - black
Vinyl - blue (AOP exclusive, limited to 99 copies)
Vinyl - blue with black splatter (band exclusive, limited to 99 copies)
Vinyl - green (Nuclear Blast exclusive, limited to 99 copies)
Download

Preorder here.

Recorded at the Woodshed Studios in the spring of 2019 with producer V. Santura (Triptykon, Dark Fortress) and the Iguana Studios (drums), the follow-up to Sounds From The Vortex (2017) consists of seven raging anthems, full of genuine guitar work and extensive instrumental passages that skids right into the vast emptiness of the cosmos.

Tracklisting:

“Serpent As Time Reveals”
“Strive For Salvation”
“Repugnant Human Scum”
“The Path Of Solitude”
“Pillars Of Doom”
“The Wide Emptiness”
“Cosmic Terror”

REBEL PRIEST Streaming New Track “Elm St.”

To celebrate the 35th Anniversary of the film A Nightmare On Elm Street, Canadian “trash-N-roll” band Rebel Priest have released official audio for “Elm St.”, their tribute to the film’s antagonist Freddy Kruger.

The Wes Craven classic was released in theaters on November 9, 1984, inducing nightmares around the world and eventually inspiring the track “Elm St”, which appears on Rebel Priest’s forthcoming album R’lyeh Heavy due November 22 via SCRAPE Records.

Recorded in early 2019, R’lyeh Heavy showcases the band’s diverse brand of heavy rock, combining elements of classic metal (“The Summoning”, “Emperor”); biker rock (“Electric Lady”); 80s sleaze (“Hangman”, “Dead End World”), and even a dash of reggae (“Lighten The Load”). Lyrical highlights include “Elm Street”, the speed metal-tinged tribute to Freddy Krueger, and “Snake Eyes” - an ode to gambling which would make Lemmy proud.

Guitarist Benny Kemp comments: “It's finally time to announce what we've been spending the better part of a year putting our hearts and insanity into - this is the culmination of all the sounds we love with all the topics that move us. This project couldn't have happened without some of the most amazing people we have ever worked with, and we are forever grateful for the honesty and loyalty along the way!”

Pre-orders of the album are available here in various formats, including CD (digipak), Limited Edition Vinyl (various colour options) and merchandise bundles.

Tracklisting:

"The Summoning"
"Electric Lady"
"Hangman"
"Elm Street"
"Snake Eyes"
"Emperor"
"Lighten The Load"
"Dead End World"

LORNA SHORE Streaming “Death Portrait” From Upcoming Immortal Album

Lorna Shore’s forthcoming album, Immortal, which is due for a worldwide release on January 31, 2020, is nothing short of a shock of blackened, symphonic ambitions and epic intents. A video for the song “Death Portrait” is streaming below.

Austin Archey (drums) says: “’Death Portrait’ unveils the intensity and emotion we put behind this entire new record. Paired with a live video featuring footage from our first US headliner, I believe this gives the listener a proper journey through the darkness that was used to create Immortal as a whole.”

Formed in 2010, Lorna Shore were quick to surpass “local band” expectations with 2012’s Bone Kingdom EP and it’s follow-up, 2013’s Malificium EP, which peaked at #3 on the iTunes Metal charts. Through each release, Lorna Shore continues to prove themselves to be an increasingly formidable force and a ferocious live proposition. 2017’s sophomore LP, Flesh Coffin showed a band that had moved beyond mere “deathcore” trappings and had evolved into a modern metal band, as uncompromising and accomplished as any of their contemporaries or influences.

“We became the band we wanted to be, rather than just the product of our early influences,” says guitarist Adam De Micco. “Immortal is the latest chapter of that story of us as a band, as players and as people.” Armed with new vocalist C.J. McCreery (ex-Signs Of The Swarm), Lorna Shore has made a record that stands apart from their earlier works. The earliest hints of that have come with the release of album tracks, “This Is Hell” and “Darkest Spawn”, twin deathly salvos released from Lorna Shore’s early album sessions with producer Josh Schroeder (Battlecross, King 810, For Today) at Random Awesome Studios in Midland, MI. Recording for the album - which was initially intended for release through another label - was complete in mid-2019, leading the band to cement a deal with Century Media in late August.

“Signing with Century Media is the beginning of another chapter for us as a band,” states drummer Austin Archey. “We came through a lot tough situations: from changing members to even getting this record finished, that only pushed us to become a better band. We’re happy to share that with a label we’ve always respected.”

Lorna Shore will begin to showcase the sounds of Immortal as they hit the road in October with Fit For An Autopsy, Rivers Of Nihil, The Last Ten Seconds of Life and Dyscarnate for a month of US dates.

“I was truly surprised and excited by what the band delivered,” says Century Media US A&R, Mike Gitter. “It was light-years beyond any expectations or preconceptions I had for them - and I think that will be the case as new and old fans start to hear new Lorna Shore music.”

Says Century Media Director, Philipp Schulte: “We are very excited to welcome Lorna Shore to Century Media Records. The two previously released tracks, “This is Hell” and “Darkest Spawn” both from an early recording session of the upcoming album, showcase the band in top shape, but are just a premonition of what the new album holds in store. We are honored to release Immortal, Lorna Shore‘s new opus, as a prime example that extreme music done right is still of highest relevance.”

Tour dates:

Watch SLAYER Perform At Madison Square Garden

Fan-filmed video footage of SLAYER's November 9 concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City can be seen below (courtesy of YouTube user "Jim Powers").

Earlier this month, SLAYER kicked off "The Final Campaign", the seventh and final leg of its farewell world tour. This last hurrah started at the ExploreAsheville Arena in Asheville, North Carolina, and will see the band taking its goodbye bow at the Los Angeles Forum on November 30. Accompanying SLAYER for this last ride are PRIMUS, MINISTRY and PHILIP H. ANSELMO & THE ILLEGALS performing a vulgar display of PANTERA, who are supporting on all dates.

SLAYER's final world tour began on May 10, 2018 with the band's intention to play as many places as possible, to make it easy for the fans to see one last SLAYER show and say goodbye. By the time the 18-month trek wraps on November 30, the band will have completed seven tour legs plus a series of one-off major summer festivals, performing more than 140 shows in 30 countries and 40 U.S. states.

SLAYER's final world tour has been a wild ride. Three bus drivers, four truck drivers, and a crew of 32 have traveled all over the world to set the stage for this farewell. At most shows, SLAYER's pyro expert set off 160 pounds of propane and 10 liters of 99% isopropyl alcohol, prompting the Phoenix New Times reviewer to comment on the "eyebrow-singeing pyrotechnics that could be felt even 10 rows behind the pit." In Toronto, one diehard fan was ejected from the concert before SLAYER took the stage, so jumped into Lake Ontario (that surrounds the Budweiser Arena) and swam back to the venue. The Tampa Bay Times' Jay Cridlin wrote, "Beginning with the throttling opener 'Repentless', SLAYER tore through their set like a flaming cigarette boat across the river Styx, charring up a vicious circle pit by the stage," and Detroit's Gary Graff noted in his Oakland Press review the "10,000 headbangers who skipped the 'Game Of Thrones' finale to pay homage to the pioneering quartet." "The sheer physicality of their show was something to behold and was yet another indication that while the band may be calling it a career, they are going out on top, playing at their absolute best," wrote Andy Lindquist for the SF Sonic, and Guy D'Astolfo with the Youngtown Vindicator ended his review with this: "After the final note, Tom Araya stood alone, scanning the crowd...forging a mental imprint of the moment. After a minute or two, he went to the microphone and said, 'I'm going to miss you guys.' Then he exited and the lights went up."

Video: Former JUDAS PRIEST, MEGADETH Members Perform Heavy Metal Classics In Quebec

Vocalist Tim "Ripper" Owens (JUDAS PRIEST, ICED EARTH, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN), guitarist Glen Drover (MEGADETH, KING DIAMOND, TESTAMENT, EIDOLON), drummer Shawn Drover (MEGADETH, ACT OF DEFIANCE, EIDOLON) and bassist Adrian Robichaud (EIDOLON) joined forces to perform heavy metal classics under the A NIGHT OF METAL banner on November 6 at L'Anti Bar & Spectacles in Quebec, Canada. Video footage of the concert can be seen below (courtesy of YouTube user "Rene Richard").

In a recent interview with The Metal Voice, Owens stated about A NIGHT OF METAL: "It's the one time I tour that I'm not playing [songs from my era of JUDAS PRIEST]. People are, like, 'Play 'Burn In Hell',' or this, that and the other. Well, I tour solo non-stop, and I play those songs when I tour — I just got back from South America and I'm playing 'One On One' and 'Hell Is Home' and 'Burn In Hell'. But this set is just a fun set. We're going up there as 'A NIGHT OF METAL.' It's exactly what it says, when Shawn and Glen came up with that. It's the perfect name for us, because we're just jamming — we're having fun. We'll probably have a beer and get on stage."

A NIGHT OF METAL is:

Tim "Ripper" Owens (JUDAS PRIEST, ICED EARTH) - Vocals

Shawn Drover (MEGADETH, ACT OF DEFIANCE, EIDELON) - Drums

Glen Drover (MEGADETH, KING DIAMOND, EIDELON) - Guitar

Adrian Robichaud (EIDELON) - Bass

Owens recorded two studio albums with JUDAS PRIEST — 1997's "Jugulator" and 2001's "Demolition" — before the band reunited with Rob Halford.

Glen Drover left MEGADETH at the end of 2007 and was replaced by Chris Broderick, who previously played with NEVERMORE and JAG PANZER.

Shawn joined MEGADETH in 2004 as the replacement for Nick Menza, who had only just rejoined the group. Drover performed on four MEGADETH studio records: 2007's "United Abominations", 2009's "Endgame", 2011's "TH1RT3EN" and 2013's "Super Collider".

YE BANISHED PRIVATEERS Return With Hostis Humani Generis Album; First Single Streaming

The savage beast from the north, Ye Banished Privateers, returns with their enthralling fourth album, Hostis Humani Generis, out February 7, 2020 via Napalm Records. The new full-length is the most authentic of pirate manifests – with more than enough audacious atmosphere, sing-along hymns, folk tunes and foul rambling to secure the band’s unique position in the genre. These Swedish marauders of the sea take you through the ups and downs of pirate life! Preorder here.

The sinister atmosphere of the first single, “No Prey, No Pay”, conveys the spirit of what it means to be a pirate and catapults you back in time – right into the 18th century of the hazardous world of Ye Banished Privateers. Listen to the Freebooters first single and breathe in the salty air of the sea!

“Chase is on in shallow waters
Swivels glowing through the smoke
'tis might be an even slaughter
Took a volley through the oak”

Ye Banished Privateers on the first single “No Prey, No Pay”:

“By the grace of God and King George’s arse! We are releasing a new video, and our next album is officially on the way! ‘No Prey, No Pay’ sets the stage for the album and describes how times suddenly had become more difficult for those sailing under the black flag. More than ever, piracy had become a hazardous task, many times with the sole purpose of getting enough value to guarantee a decent meal for a couple of days.”

Ye Banished Privateers on Hostis Humani Generis:

“It is with great pride that we present to you our fourth full-length album - Hostis Humani Generis! Over the course of 13 songs (well, 15 if you get the deluxe box) we tell the immersive story of a delinquent pirate crew, the downfall of the pirate republic of Nassau, and the end of the Golden Age of Piracy. We are immensely happy that the time has finally come to share this with you all, and we really hope you like it as much as we do!”

PRETTY MAIDS Premiere “Will You Still Kiss Me (If I See You In Heaven)” Music Video

Pretty Maids has premiered a new video for "Will You Still Kiss Me (If I See You In Heaven)" video, taken from their new album Undress Your Madness.

Undress Your Madness shows Pretty Maids are still in the freshest and most vital phase of their career since the early '90’s. Order the CD/LP/digital here. Fans can order limited edition, 180g, gatefold, silver color vinyl and t-shirt bundles from Frontiers' webstores here.

"I think the new album is a kind of continuation of what we’ve done the past ten years,” says singer Ronnie Atkins. "I’m really happy about the way it turned out 'cause there’s a lot of good songs on it in my humble opinion and it’s probably even more melodic than our previous efforts.”

The production, as always, is absolutely stellar thanks to Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Amaranthe, Kobara And The Lotus), who has given the band a sound that not only reinvigorates them, but also incorporates the beloved soundscapes of the past. Modern and classic at the same time, if you will.

"It’s just a match made in heaven I think. There’s a great chemistry between us, we share the same humor and thoughts about what a good song is, so there’s a lot in common,” continues Ronnie. "Quite simply the most gentle and easy going guy I've ever worked with.”

What can then be said about Ronnie Atkins and Ken Hammer? One of the best songwriting teams in the genre, hands down. Atkins' voice just gets better and better as the years go by. Menacing and vicious one minute, melodic and soothing the next. Likewise, Hammer is on fire here and lays down some of his heaviest riffs in recent memory. Rene Shades' bass playing is as thunderous as ever, propelling the incredible rhythms of the songs along with the superb drumming of Allan Sørensen, who's playing matches perfectly with what each song calls for. Chris Laney's keyboards add a wonderful texture and nuance to these brilliant compositions, tying everything together in the perfect package.

Every track on this beauty is worthy of your attention, whether it is an in-your-face barn burner such as the storming opener “Serpentine,” the title track, and “Black Thunder” or timeless melodic metal anthems such as “Firesoul Fly" and “Will You Still Kiss Me (If I See You In Heaven)”, or even a superb power ballad like “Shadowlands”.

“The album was written in a very short period of time,” tells Ronnie Atkins. “Basically it was written in January, just prior to recording it in February this year. So everything was very fresh when we entered the studio, in fact, so fresh that some of the songs were hardly finished when we started, but it all fell into place as we preceded with the recordings.”

The final result is Undress Your Madness, a record that has everything that Pretty Maids fans could possibly ask for.

BLIND GUARDIAN TWILIGHT ORCHESTRA – “War Feeds War” Video Streaming; Legacy Of The Dark Lands Out Now

The most ambitious project of metal history of Blind Guardian is out today, Legacy Of The Dark Lands hits the record stores. To celebrate the release, the band offers fan an official video for "War Feeds War". The idea of recording an orchestral album originally formed in the minds of the two leading lights of the Blind Guardian universe - guitarist André Olbrich and singer Hansi Kürsch - during the 1990's when Blind Guardian started to use orchestral elements to enhance their opulent sound. The monumental project started to take shape over recent years, and mirroring its epic sound cascades, the lyrical concept was developed. To create the concept, André and Hansi worked alongside German bestselling author Markus Heitz, whose latest novel Die dunklen Lande was released on March 1, 2019.

Hansi about the video:

"Time to witness our journey through the Dark Lands. 'War Feeds War' gives you an idea about whom we encountered and what we 'beheld' during our short, but somehow very unpleasant stay. Note: the riders are amongst us! I am glad we made it back, safely, for today’s release of Legacy Of The Dark Lands.  We hope you enjoy this fantastic album and this glorious video. We had great fun doing it! Now go and get your copy."

BLOOD INCANTATION Release “Slave Species Of The Gods” Video And Single

Cosmic death metal band, Blood Incantation, have joined forces with Century Media Records to release the band’s second studio album, Hidden History Of The Human Race, outside of North America, Mexico and Canada. Dark Descent Records will be handling the American release and the album will be available worldwide on November 22.

New track, “Slave Species Of The Gods”, is streaming below.

The band comments:

“‘Slave Species Of The Gods; was filmed at our performance in Santa Ana on October 11 during our tour with Immolation. Directed and edited by Gabe Gomez, who first filmed us on our very first tour, the video for this song evokes the disorienting, chaotic and psychedelic vibe of our live concert. Filmed directly onto VHS, the video contains an aesthetic similar to many of our favorite old recordings of classic bands while also being engagingly trippy. The song itself was the second song written for Hidden History Of The Human Race and has been played live since the Decibel tour. Being the first track on the record, ‘Slave Species Of The Gods’ is meant as a full force brutalizer, going non-stop over the course of its relatively short five minutes and thirty-one seconds.”

Recorded completely analogue at World Famous Studios in Denver, CO, Hidden History Of The Human Race expands the sonic cosmos explored on Blood Incantation’s critically acclaimed debut Starspawn.

The album will be released as Limited Edition CD Digipak with green logo patch, Gatefold LP with 20 page pamphlet, lyric sheet, CD and poster as well as on all digital platforms. Pre-order here.

Tracklisting:

"Slave Species Of The Gods"
"The Giza Power Plant"
"Inner Paths (To Outer Space)"
"Awakening From The Dream Of Existence To The Multidimensional Nature Of Our Reality (Mirror Of The Soul)"

"Slave Species Of The Gods" video:

Lineup:

Paul Riedl - Guitars, Vocals
Morris Kolontyrsky - Guitars
Jeff Barrett - Fretless Bass
Isaac Faulk - Drums

THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA Featuring SOILWORK, ARCH ENEMY Members Release Single “Cabin Pressure Drops”; Video Streaming

Swedish classic rock/A.O.R. supergroup The Night Flight Orchestra have released a brand new album teaser video and single for "Cabin Pressure Drops."

Earlier this year, the band announced that they had started recording the successor of 2018's Sometimes The World Ain't Enough which is due for a 2020 release. The band have been working at the Nordic Sound Labs using the same drum kit that was used during the recordings of ABBA's 1980 mega album Super Trouper.

The band comments, "So, you thought you knew what The Night Flight Orchestra was all about? You were sure that they were all about good times, boogie-woogie, radio-friendly A.O.R.? Damn, you were wrong. The one thing that has kept those ageing Swedish hearts beating for so long is DRAMA! Internal conflicts, external conflicts, rumours and exaggerations. Sometime early next year, The Night Flight Orchestra will release their new album. 'Cabin Pressure Drops' is a street opera based upon shattered dreams, broken illusions, and the fact that we are all something much less than the person we were supposed to be. But in the darkness there's a always a glimmer of hope. And from that glimmer of hope, with the right mindset, you can sculpt and create a whole lot of Swedish classic rock melodrama. Most bands are teasing with clips from the studio and interviews with various band members talking about how excited they are about the new material. The Night Flight Orchestra are beyond excited. Therefore, they've decided to release a tiny soap opera instead, set against the background of the instrumental 'Cabin Pressure Drops,' available on every streaming service near you. The Night Flight Orchestra would like to remind you that this is only the beginning…"

STEVE RILEY's Version Of L.A. GUNS Signs With GOLDEN ROBOT RECORDS; New Album Due In The Spring

Steve Riley's version of L.A. GUNS has inked a deal with Golden Robot Records. The band will enter the studio later this month to record a new album for a tentative spring 2020 release.

In other news, Riley's L.A. GUNS has signed with New Breed Management and the Bigg Time Entertainment Inc. booking agency.

The group said in a statement: "We are very grateful for this opportunity and we want to thank you all for your support throughout the years. Also we are looking forward to seeing you all on tour in 2020."

This version of L.A. GUNS made its live debut this past May at the M3 Rock Festival. The drummer is joined in the group by Orlando, Florida-based guitarist/vocalist Kurt Frohlich, bassist Kelly Nickels (a member of L.A. GUNS' "classic" incarnation) and guitarist Scott Griffin (who played bass for the band from 2007 until 2009, and then again from 2011 to 2014).

M3 was the first time ever that an L.A. GUNS performance did not feature singer Phil Lewis or guitarist Tracii Guns, who are currently playing together in their own version of the band.

A dozen years ago, Frohlich was recruited to front a second incarnation of FASTER PUSSYCAT by three of the group's original members, who were unhappy with both the musical direction of the band and singer Taime Downe's "drunk and erratic performances." At the time, bassist Eric Stacy said that the Frohlich-fronted FASTER PUSSYCAT would perform the band's songs "the way they were written and recorded."

Soon after a European tour in the spring of 2007, the second version of FASTER PUSSYCAT disbanded. The Downe-fronted version of the group continues to tour regularly to this day.

Frohlich has also played with Marky Ramone and a group called THE UNDERGROUND REBELS. He performs acoustically in the greater Orlando area on a regular basis.

Riley is the longest-tenured member of L.A. GUNS, a group he joined shortly before the release of their 1988 self-titled debut. (While he is pictured on the album, he did not actually perform on it.) Although the band has famously featured more than 50 members in its ranks through the years, with the exception of a two-year period in the early 1990s, Riley was the sole constant from 1987 until the end of 2016, when the group that he and Lewis managed to keep alive for nearly 15 years without founding guitarist Guns (who quit the band in 2002, on the eve of the release of their acclaimed album "Waking The Dead") dissolved. Since then, Lewis and Guns — who, after years of acrimony, buried the hatchet in 2016 — have forged ahead as L.A. GUNS while Riley focused on other projects.

The Guns-Lewis version of L.A. GUNS released a new album, "The Devil You Know", in March via Frontiers Music Srl.

UPDATE: We are so pleased to formally announce that we have signed with NEW BREED Management and BIGGTIME INC. is now...
