WE SELL THE DEAD Feat. IN FLAMES, Ex-FIREWIND Members: 'Black Sleep' Album Due In February
WE SELL THE DEAD's sophomore album, "Black Sleep", will be released on February 21, 2020 via earMUSIC, bringing a riveting mix of dark and raw heavy metal with catchy songs about death as an integral part of life and living.
The band has shared the video for the new single "Across The Water". Check it out below.
"The term 'black sleep' is, of course, a metaphor for death," the band explains. "'Eternal sleep' is a somewhat more frequently used term, but we wanted an expression that sounded both sinister and soft at the same time. Because it is a quite beautiful thing — this short life of ours. Blink and it's over. And, most importantly, death is not the enemy. Indifference and life without meaning are. We are all going to die, eventually, all of us, sometime sooner or later. Life isn't about sitting and waiting for that to happen. Life is about taking what you've got and squeezing the most out of it."
WE SELL THE DEAD began in 2016 with Niclas Engelin (IN FLAMES, ENGEL) and Jonas Slättung (DRÖMRIKET). They were quickly joined by their old friend Apollo Papathanasio — the frontman for FIREWIND and SPIRITUAL BEGGARS — on vocals. Gas Lipstick, the drummer for the first album and a former member of HIM, has been replaced by ENGEL drummer Oscar Nilsson due to logistical circumstances. In addition, Petter Olsson joins the band as a full-time member on keys and thereby perfectly rounds out the quintet.

Two years ago, W.A.S.P. leader Blackie Lawless dismissed persistent calls from fans for a reunion with classic-era guitarist Chris Holmes, saying in a press conference: "People get divorced for certain reasons, and there's times when the kids want the parents to get back together, but sometimes it never happens. And this is one of those [times]. Sorry."
Holmes joined W.A.S.P. in 1982 and remained with the group until 1990. In 1996, the guitarist rejoined W.A.S.P. and stayed with the band until 2001. Chris has not played with W.A.S.P. since.
In a 2015 interview with The Metal Voice, Holmes accused Lawless of not wanting to work with other people. "Blackie had his means of controlling everything… It's all about him, him, him," Chris said.
According to Holmes, he added his unique style of playing to the W.A.S.P. sound. "The way that I grew up playing guitar is the way I play," he said. "And you can hear on the latest W.A.S.P. albums, it's not there. I don't know what it is; it's just the way you hit the strings. Everybody's different. [Tony] Iommi, Michael Scheknker, Peter Townshend… Everybody that plays is just different, the way they hit the guitar. And I hit a certain way. And Blackie always… I never heard one note in my life in W.A.S.P. 'Hey, Chris, you did a good job.' I never heard that once. I always heard how terrible I played and this and that.' I was always put down all the time. And Blackie says, 'The manager wants to use my image to sell the band.' Well, the band was a band in the first place; it was a whole unit. But he always wanted to be the main guy."
In February 2018, Napalm Records released "ReIdolized (The Soundtrack To 'The Crimson Idol')", the 25th-anniversary version of W.A.S.P.'s iconic hit album.

CYHRA Release No Halos In Hell Studio Documentary; Video
Cyhra will release their sophomore album, No Halos In Hell, on November 15 via Nuclear Blast. They have released a studio documentary, which can be viewed below.
Founded by vocalist Jake E (ex-Amaranthe) and guitarist Jesper Strömblad (ex-In Flames), Cyhra has gone from being reminiscent of the duo's former bands to having a unique identity. In fact, No Halos In Hell is one of those rare albums that defies being neatly placed in a genre box; coming out heavy and dynamic, the record is loaded with melodic vocal hooks that stay nailed to the brain for days, achieving maximum impact throughout. Fusing a relentless energy and heaviness the best way possible was Cyhra's main focus this time out. The addition of guitarist Euge Valovirta (ex-Shining) as a full member has raised the creative process to a level where, according to Jake E, "Everyone is playing to the point of what is best for the song.” No Halos In Hell is one of those rare albums that defies being neatly placed in a genre box: delivering tunes that are both heavy and dynamic, the record is loaded with melodic vocal hooks and musical ear-worms.
Produced by Jacob Hansen and co-produced by the band's very own Jake E, the album is filled with 12 live-oriented songs, ensuring maximum catchiness.
No Halos In Hell will be available as 2 CD digipak, black vinyl or download on November 15. The bonus CD included in the limited digipak includes six additional songs, three of them being exclusive acoustic versions. You can pre-order the format of your choice here.

MAGIC KINGDOM Release "MetAlmighty" Lyric Video
Belgian symphonic speed metallers, Magic Kingdom, have released a lyric video for the title track of their MetAlmighty album, out via AFM Records on November 22. Watch the clip below, and pre order the album here.
The new album delivers 100% of what the fans are expecting, Dushan's splendid guitar work combined with the strong vocal performance of Michael Vescera puts flesh on the songs and zests artfulness.
"Michael's vocals are very expressive and passionate," notes Petrossi. "He always gives 100% and holds nothing back. We needed someone like him and are very glad that he is part of the band now.”
The bands sound has iron balls, is deeply rooted in melodic metal, and definitively has a mind of its own. The furious playing of Petrossi especially adds the neo-classical touch, no wonder that the excellent guitarist is compared to greats like Yngwie Malmsteen and Michael Romeo.
And so the new album MetAlmighty will hook up right there where Savage Requiem ended. The production of the new album delights with flawless and nuanced sound, which develops an amazing amount of pressure and an arc of suspense at the same time.

MESHIAAK Streaming New Song "City Of Ghosts"
Meshiaak and Mascot Records / Mascot Label Group have announced the global release of a new studio album, titled Mask Of All Misery, on November 15. The song, "City Of Ghosts", can be heard below.
It has been three years since the Australian quartet’s debut album Alliance Of Thieves dropped, which married dark undertones, heavy grooves and sophistication whilst retaining old-school metal values. Now, the band are back to continue the story and have a new member and renewed energy.
Formed in Melbourne, by 4ARM’s Danny Camilleri and Teramaze’s Dean Wells with bassist Andrew Cameron, they have recruited drummer David Godfrey who replaces Jon Dette, following his departure due to logistical reasons with him being based in the US and the rest of the band in Australia.
Mask Of All Misery is an album that journey’s through a maze of toxic influences and the masks the exponents wear. “The album deals with a lot of personal reflection and issues as well as attacking or addressing much broader issues concerning perhaps the ignorance of society in regards to what's going on around us all,” explains Camilleri.
The album walks through a number of tough subject matters and it’s something the band refuse to shy away from. The opening song, the instrumental “Miasma” sets the scene and tone for what you are about to expect. Miasma comes from the ancient Greek word for “pollution” and the miasma theory was a theory that held diseases such as cholera, chlamydia or the Black Death were caused by a noxious form of “bad air” or “miasma.” “It’s a theory that has been around for many years,” elaborates Camilleri. “It’s about how the air we breathe is being poisoned intentionally, and we are all subjected to it. There is no greater good in regards to any government or authority. Especially when they are responsible for the deployment of systematically spraying chemicals and spreading airborne diseases in the very air we breathe.”
The title track was the first song written for the album and is based on responding to toxic situations or people, identifying their behaviours and the rationalisation in response to their thought process, projections and intentions. Because “they” wear the mask, it doesn't mean you have to too. “Bury The Bodies” continues to delve into the sense of being trapped with personal demons and solitude in your own thoughts. “It’s the war we feel inside. Some of us chose to engage in that war and better ourselves and find our truth through it and some of us chose to pretend it doesn’t exist,” says the singer.
“City Of Ghosts,” “Face Of Stone” and “In The Final Hour” run full force through heavy metal riffery with anthemic muscle. “Doves” deals with showing great resilience and strength in the face of hopelessness, whilst they tackle dark subject matter on “Adrena.” The song takes its name from the word Adrenochrome, which has been found to occur naturally in human blood. Theories suggest that it is used as a drug for the elites, and that it is harvested through the experience of terrifying individuals, mostly children to the brink of fear and extracting their blood to give the elites an adrenaline high, at the expense of missing or lost children. Adrenochrome, it has been suggested was also used by the CIA during Project MKUltra and during secret Cold War experiments. The album closes with the 7 minute and 21 second epic “Godless,” another personal song dealing with manipulation and severing the ties between an empath and narcissist to take back control back of your life.
The album barely takes a breath through the ten songs and deals with personal struggles and the inner-strength to pull yourself through as well as burrowing into the dark underbelly for an album of uncompromising heaviness. However, the band have an ability to sprinkle light, adding visions of hope lyrically and strong sense of melody throughout the unrelenting power and musicianship of the four members.
The album was recorded and produced by Dean Wells at his Wells Productions studio in Melbourne with the songwriting partnership of Camilleri and Wells. Talking about the recording process Camilleri says, “We generally have an idea of how many songs we want for an album, we aren't the kind of band that writes 20 tracks and picks the best 9 or 10 to go on the album, if something doesn't grab us early we tend to just throw it in the bin and work on something that does! We demo every track to almost album quality before even looking at officially beginning recording, then we'll sit on it a bit and let it digest.”
Expanding on how the writing relationship works he explains, “We don't designate or anything like that, either Dean will come up with something cool or I will, we'll work on it from that point until it evolves into what we envisioned in our head, though a lot of the time the song will take on a completely different face than when we first began work on it, but that's one of the most enjoyable parts about the writing process with Meshiaak. We never stop pushing the boundaries for ourselves and seeing where we can take something. I love the creative part of it all.”
With a record you can put it on and hear it, feel it even. But sometimes you really need to listen, take it in as a whole, process and think about it. Mask Of All Misery is one of those albums. “People will take what they chose to at the end of the day,” ponders Camilleri. “But, I've found by talking with a lot of fans that they do pay attention and really digest the content of our music. It's an amazing feeling when someone connects to it through hearing it and then gets even deeper because they can connect with the content as well.. goes to show you that you are never alone.”

SORXE Release "Dependence Day" Video
Arizona psychedelic sludge metal trio Sorxe have released a new music video featuring the song, "Dependence Day". The shapeshifting and heat-drenched song comes from the band's most recent offering, The Ark Burner, which was released worldwide via Prosthetic Records on October 11th. The video was filmed in the Arizona blazing sun and desert by the band and photographer / director Jason Cakebread of Fatcake Media.
About the video and track, Sorxe frontman, Tanner Crace comments, "We wanted to do something different from our last video ('Hypnotizer') so we set out with some vague concepts in mind. Less performance shots and more of a visual story and setting up a vibe. I was wanting to get a '90s grunge rock vibe with minimal performance stuff, but with a nine-minute track we had to get a lot of content, b-roll etc. The end result was a good mixture of Arizona desert oppressive heat and night time trippy Phoenix city stuff. Jason Cakebread, who did the video, did a excellent job with layering and editing it all together! Definitely a lot of things happening to warrant multiple viewings."

German thrash metal veterans SODOM will release a new EP, "Out Of The Frontline Trench", on November 22 via SPV/Steamhammer. The effort contains three brand new tracks as well as new recordings (studio and live) of two SODOM classics.
The "Out Of The Frontline Trench" title track can be streamed below.
Frontman Thomas "Angelripper" Such comments: "Postcards and letters from my granddad, which I discovered among the things he left behind when he died, and some TV documentaries have given me a vague idea of what it must have been like for soldiers back in those days to leave their trenches and face those life-threatening battles."
The close relationship between a metal band and its fans can be measured by — among other things — how long the group makes its supporters wait for new songs. So looking at it from that perspective, SODOM is definitely exemplary seeing that it has always supplied their huge following with new material at regular intervals. The release of their current album, "Decision Day", was followed — in time for their major European tour in December 2018 — by the "Partisan" EP.
Now the Gelsenkirchen thrash metal act led by figurehead Such (vocals, bass) presents itself from its generous side again: Even before work on their upcoming album is set to commence, SODOM are ready to unleash their brand-new mini-album, "Out Of The Frontline Trench". Tom calls the recording "a sign of life for our fans," having cut, together with his guitarists Frank "Blackfire" Gosdzik (also formerly of KREATOR, ASSASSIN) and Yorck Segatz (BEYONDITION) plus drummer Stefan "Husky" Hüskens (ASPHYX, DESASTER), three new songs as well as two classics (one of them re-recorded, the other one a live number), "Out Of The Frontline Trench" forging an arch between SODOM's past, present and future.
Track listing:
01. Genesis 19 (brand new track taken from the upcoming 2020 album)
02. Down On Your Knees (exclusive to this release)
03. Out Of The Frontline Trench (exclusive to this release)
04. Agent Orange (re-recorded with the current lineup)
05. Bombenhagel (live in Gelsenkirchen 2018)
Blackfire previously played with SODOM on the seminal albums "Persecution Mania", "Mortal Way Of Live" and "Agent Orange".
Commented Such: "We're a real family again. We all really enjoy the new lineup. There's a real team spirit again; we're having a great time together, every one of us is interested in everything and — really important! — everybody is there for everybody else. Obviously that kind of atmosphere is bound to have a positive effect on the songwriting."
Former SODOM guitarist Bernd "Bernemann" Kost and drummer Markus "Makka" Freiwald released a joint statement in January 2018 claiming that they were fired from the band by Tom via messaging platform WhatsApp even before Tom had a chance to hear any of the material the duo had been working on for the group's next album.

Watch TAYLOR HAWKINS & THE COATTAIL RIDERS' 'I Really Blew It' Video Feat. DAVE GROHL, PERRY FARRELL
The official music video for the song "I Really Blew It" from TAYLOR HAWKINS AND THE COATTAIL RIDERS' new album, "Get The Money", can be seen below. Featuring a 1970s late night music video TV show vibe, the epic clip — directed by Wiley Hodgen and Taylor himself — spins a classic rock n roll seduction story featuring a flaming Dave Grohl apparition, miniaturized COATTAIL RIDERS jamming with Perry and Etty Farrell, members of the Hawkins family, and, of course, Taylor — flexing his thespian skills here in multiple roles.
"Get The Money" is being released today (Friday, November 8) via Shanabelle/RCA Records.
Produced by John Lousteau and Taylor himself, and mixed by Sylvia Massy, "Get The Money" follows Taylor's 2016 six-song mini-LP "KOTA" by three years almost to the day, and features a scope far wider than "KOTA"'s takes on suburbia's bizarro underbelly. The new album finds Taylor and Coattail Riders Chris Chaney, Brent Woods and John Lousteau accompanied by an all-star supporting cast including Taylor's fellow FOO FIGHTERS Grohl and Pat Smear, Roger Taylor, Joe Walsh, Duff McKagan, Nancy Wilson, Chrissie Hynde, Perry Farrell, LeAnn Rimes and more, collectively creating a staggering, epic sprawl that swerves from classic rock to prog and glam and all points between.
"Get The Money" track listing:
01. Crossed The Line (featuring Dave Grohl, Jon Davison)
02. Don't Look At Me That Way (featuring Duff McKagan, Nancy Wilson)
03. You're No Good At Life No More (featuring Dave Grohl)
04. I Really Blew It (featuring Dave Grohl, Perry Farrell)
05. Queen Of The Clowns (featuring Mark King)
06. Get the Money (featuring Joe Walsh, Chrissie Hynde, Duff McKagan)
07. C U In Hell (featuring LeAnn Rimes)
08. Middle Child (featuring Dave Grohl)
09. Kiss The Ring
10. Shapes Of Things (featuring Roger Taylor, Pat Smear)
Since the Texas-born Laguna-bred force of nature made his Foo Fighting debut on the tour supporting 1997's sophomore opus "The Colour And The Shape", he has been an essential element of the sound and personality of the last great American arena/stadium rock band. He's played on Grammy-winning FF albums, including "There Is Nothing Left To Lose", "One by One" and "Wasting Light", and contributed lead vocals to "Concrete And Gold"'s "Sunday Rain", as well as "Cold Day In The Sun" from 2005's "In Your Honor". Taylor's previous extracurricular output includes two albums from TAYLOR HAWKINS AND THE COATTAIL RIDERS, one with THE BIRDS OF SATAN, the above-mentioned "KOTA" mini-LP that featured Hawkins on lead vocals and nearly every instrument.

LORDI: Lyric Video For New Song 'Shake The Baby Silent'
The official lyric video for "Shake The Baby Silent", a new song from Finnish hard rock/heavy metal monsters LORDI, can be seen below. The track is taken from the band's upcoming album, "Killection", which will be released on January 31, 2020 via AFM Records. Once more Mr. Lordi, the master of the masquerade, presents us with one of his ideas, absurd and genius at the same time, and comes up with a concept that has never been done before in the music industry: This is a compilation album that simply says "what if" LORDI had been in existence since the early 1970s. It contains all LORDI's imaginary hit singles from different periods done with painstaking attention to detail using authentic studios and vintage technology. This is how they would have sounded if LORDI had made music back then and therefore would have had the hit material to release this compilation now.
Mr. Lordi comments: "'Killection' is a fictional compilation album. It contains songs that LORDI would have written between the early '70s through the mid-'90s. The compilation contains one 'brand new' song from 2019 as well, 'cause that’s somehow always typical for compilations."
"Killection" track listing:
01. Radio SCG 10
02. Horror For Hire
03. Shake The Baby Silent
04. Like A Bee To The Honey
05. Apollyon
06. SCG10 The Last Hour
07. Blow My Fuse
08. I Dug A Hole In The Yard For You
09. Zombimbo
10. Up To No Good
11. SCG10 Demonic Semitones
12. Cutterfly
13. Evil
14. Scream Demon
15. SCG10 I Am Here
LORDI won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2006 with the song "Hard Rock Hallelujah" and remains the first and only winner from Finland in the history of the competition. Since then, the band has gone through several lineup changes. The original members who are still active with the band are Mr. Lordi and guitarist Amen.

TALES OF THE TOMB Release "Dyatlov Pass Incident" Lyric Video
Painting their canvas of extreme music with inspirations of real-life stories of murder, conspiracy, supernatural horror, and terror, Edmonton's Tales Of The Tomb unleashed their new EP Volume Two: Mendicium this past September. In support of the release, the band is sharing their latest video for their track "Dyatlov Pass Incident".
The band explains the story behind the song: "9 hikers disappeared in what is now called the Dyatlov Pass in Russia. This incident had inspired many different conspiracies trying to explain what happened to the 9 hikers that went missing and were later found dead in the mountain range. Because there was a random unidentified scrap of clothing that looked to come from a military uniform found at the sight of the event. We are taking the angle put forth that the hikers unknowingly stumbled across a military weapons test and met their demise. Basically, they were there at the wrong place at the wrong time and the government was forced to cover up their deaths that the weapons test caused. There was evidence of the hikers ripping the tent from the inside and one of the hikers was found with extensive radiation burns, unclothed, fingernails and hands ripped apart from what was later determined to be from trying to climb the surrounding trees and much more. The song is written push-pull between the chaos of stumbling into this extension event vs. a seemingly normal journey. This was the last song written and displays the direction we are trying to move into from our past EP."
A sonic attack layered with grinding blast beats, injected with menacing guttural lows - a sound straight from hell with gore-filled lyrics leaving little to the imagination, destroying your eardrums like a corpse is erased in an acid-filled bath. The EP was mixed and mastered by Cryptopsy guitarist and head engineer/owner at The Grid Studios Christian Donaldson. The EP also contains a bonus track about the Japanese horror film Mermaid in a Manhole. Featuring artwork by Tony Midi of Tonymidi Artworks.
Tracklisting:
“The Nightmare Hall”
“Faul”
“Sinful Messiah”
“Dyatlov Pass Incident”
“Nine Eleven”

NEW MESSIAH Release Music Video For Cover Of THE TIME's "Jungle Love" Feat. EXODUS Drummer TOM HUNTING And DARRYL "DMC" McDANIELS
New Messiah, featuring C. Will Harden on guitars and Craig Cefola (Dukes, Wheelhouse Junction) on drums, have released their debut album, Voice Of Choice. A video for the cover of The Time's "Jungle Love" (which was featured in Prince's Purple Rain film), featuring Tom Hunting and Darryl “DMC" McDaniels, can be seen below:
Voice Of Choice includes 20 cover songs that showcase several singers including drummer Tom Hunting (Exodus). Tom hand picked the Stevie Wonder classic “You Haven’t Done Nothin’” as a song he always wanted to cover, along with three others including The Bus Boys’ “Boys Are Back In Town”, Jerry Reed’s “East Bound And Down” and The Time’s “Jungle Love” that also sparked the interest of Rock & Roll Hall Of Famer, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels. Darryl wrote his part in that song and helped to open the album with this original take on Morris Day’s classic from the Prince film Purple Rain.
Rob Dukes (Exodus, Generation Kill, Fragile Mortals) also lends his vocals to tracks. Rob can be heard on the Judas Priest classic “Turbo Lover”, Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Simple Man” and Tom Petty’s “Refugee”, all songs hand picked by Dukes who has worked with life long friend Craig Cefola for decades. Rob was instrumental in helping to get this project off the ground and brought in some of these amazing vocalists to help make this unique collection of covers a reality.
Jack Gibson (Exodus, Testament) and Craig Cefola share their respect for Jerry Reed on “East Bound And Down” from the film “Smokey And The Bandit”. Jack plays bass on the track and also performs the song with his side band (Coffin Hunter).
Venezuelan rocker Deibys Artigas is featured on “Hell Is For Children”, “Call Me”, “The Final Countdown”, the Spanish classic “Bailando” and the Billy Joel masterpiece “Scenes From An Italian Restaurant”, a song that took the band several months to create. Piano parts were turned into Acoustic Guitar, while Saxophone and Clarinet morphs into ripping lead guitar solos.
Tbilisi-based vocalist Esté is featured on “Hot Stuff”, “Our Lips Are Sealed”, “Reach Out” and The Cars classic “Moving In Stereo”. She was the first vocalist on the project and inspired the band to expand the collection to a full album release.
Mitch Saul (Kick Start Charlie) brings his unique vocal stylings to “Holiday Road” from the film “National Lampoon’s Vacation”. The band tried out several singers before finally finding the right voice for this rarely covered Lindsey Buckingham classic.
James Arthur (Wheelhouse Junction) pays tribute to Johnny Cash for the hard rock version of “Folsom Prison Blues”.
Finally, New Messiah guitarist C. Will Harden get’s his chance to shine vocally on Fleetwood Mac’s “Gold Dust Woman”.
This unique collection of covers brings together a special group of excellent talent and pays tribute to these vocalist’s favorite songs. Be sure and check out the album tracks on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, Google Play and many streaming services. An album preview can be found below.

MIDNIGHT To Release Rebirth By Blasphemy Album In January; Title Track Streaming
On January 24, Midnight will release their new album, Rebirth By Blasphemy, via Metal Blade Records. "Rebirth By Blasphemy is a rebirth," states Midnight's sole driving force, Athenar. "It's a change in life and it's a rebirth of doing whatever the fuck you want and seeing what happens after that. It's about saying yes, taking opportunities, taking a fucking chance."
These sentiments are backed up by the notorious - and prolific - underground band's trademark blend of speed metal, black metal and punk rock, sounding both fuller and more raucous than ever before.
For a preview of Rebirth By Blasphemy, the title track is available for streaming below.
Pre-order the album in the following formats here:
- jewelcase-CD
- digipak-CD (EU exclusive)
- cassette
- black vinyl (US exclusive - limited to 750 copies)
- oxblood vinyl (US exclusive - limited to 1000 copies)
- oxblood / grey split vinyl w/ black splatter (US exclusive - limited to 500 copies)
- blood red / white melt vinyl (US exclusive - limited to 500 copies)

- grey marbled vinyl (EU exclusive - limited to 1500 copies)
- red / blue marbled vinyl (EU exclusive - limited to 1000 copies)
- red / black marbled vinyl (EU exclusive - limited to 666 copies)
- bloody skin vinyl (EU exclusive - limited to 400 copies)
- German flag vinyl (HRR exclusive - limited to 200 copies)
- jizz spinner vinyl (EU webshop exclusive - limited to 200 copies)
Dating back to the band's inception in 2002, vocalist/guitarist/bassist/drummer Athenar has always known exactly what he wanted Midnight to be, and over the course of countless demos, EPs, compilations, splits and three full-lengths he has stayed true to his roots. There is no denying that, like its predecessors, Rebirth By Blasphemy is a ruthlessly catchy collection, every song, vicious as they are, wielding the kind of hooks that sink deep and don't let go.
Handling every instrument himself and being quite unfussy when it comes to production typically means that the recording process is a straightforward one for Midnight, and this time was no different. Staying in his home town of Cleveland, he opted to record at Mercenary Studios with the assistance of Noah Buchanan, laying the drums down in a day, the guitars in a little more than that, bass in a few hours, and then tracking the vocals to two or three songs a day. "I think there's really no production value on the album, it's really just get in there, press record and see what happens. Maybe you can tell that the sessions went pretty quickly when you listen to it. There are so-called mistakes, of course, but I wouldn't have it any other way." He also wouldn't have it any other way when it comes to touring this latest collection hard, with a lot of dates with a variety of bands already locked down. "It's the rebirth, it's saying fuck it and getting out there and doing what you're supposed to do, and we're supposed to play music. If people want to damage their ears by listening to it, that's welcomed."
Rebirth By Blasphemy tracklisting:
"Fucking Speed And Darkness"
"Rebirth By Blasphemy"
"Escape The Grave"
"Devil's Excrement"
"Rising Scum"
"Warning From The Reaper"
"Cursed Possessions"

Exclusive: ELECTRIC GUITARS Premiere New Christmas Single
Denmark's guitar rock no. 1 returns with a rocking Christmas song, “All I Want For Christmas Is An Electric Guitar”. The single is available in digital format and 7" vinyl as a standalone single (with both rock and acoustic versions). Meanwhile, the band is preparing their new live album 10 Songs 10 Cities, out December 6 via Mighty Music. Ring in the Christmas season with the new single, premiered exclusively through BraveWords!
When the guitarists in Electric Guitars were kids, they both dreamed of getting an electric guitar. A long-time has passed and several Christmas evenings went by where they had to clear the tones of an old acoustic guitar. But one Christmas day the dream became real and since then they have both spent most of their time on electric guitar.
Now Søren Andersen and Mika Vandborg have written a Christmas song about the feelings, hope, and dreams as a child of getting the electric guitar.
Line-up:
Søren Andersen - Guitar & Vocal
Mika Vandborg - Guitar & Vocal
Peter Kjøbsted - Bass & Backing Vocal
Morten Hellborn - Drums & Backing Vocal

DISBELIEF Release New Digital Single "The Waiting"; Lyric Video Streaming
German death metallers, Disbelief, are set to unleash their new album, The Ground Collapses, in early 2020. The band have released a digital single and lyric video for the new song, "The Waiting".
Karsten "Jagger" Jäger comments on the song: "It's about suicide, not only about acting that way, it's more about of searching for a special place like a magnet for doing that. A place where others do that before. Like a pilgrim who is searching for his best way to die! Inspiration for that lyric was a special bridge here in Germany which is the highest of this kind in the whole of the world. This is one place from many other like minded people all over the world where people are searching for a good death! The cover of the single is showing that bridge! This is one place where many others where like minded people searching for a good, familiar death! This way is better for the end!"
"The Waiting" is now available on digital and streaming services including iTunes, Spotify, and Deezer, as well as on Bandcamp.
Imagine yourself being crushed by a throng of stomping giant elephants, this is the feeling you get when listening to Disbelief ’s massive, torturous, bombastic war-like death metal sound. Band founder and vocalist Jagger’s guttural signature has never sounded so intense and relentless, and the precise, bloodthirsty double bass drums back up a colossal wall of thickly produced face melting guitars for total annihilation!
Lineup:
Karsten “Jagger” Jäger - Vocals
Jochen “Joe” Trunk - Bass
Alexander "Alex“ Hagenauer - Guitar
David "Dave“ Renner - Guitar
Fabian "Fab“ Regmann - Drums

BLOODGOOD - Remastered Detonation Album To Be Re-Issued With Three Live Bonus Tracks
Roxx Records has issued the following announcement:
"We are super excited about this brand new re-issue coming out just in time for the Easter season. We are talking about the classic album, Detonation, from the pioneers of Christian rock, Bloodgood! This limited edition CD has been remastered and expanded to include three previously unreleased bonus tracks recorded live in Sacramento from their 1987 tour."
Bloodgood's David Zaffiro took exceptional care to rebuild Detonation from the ground up. David was the guitarist for Bloodgood's first three albums, which he eventually handed over the reigns to Paul Jackson. However, David is now an award winning producer, engineer and songwriter with numerous Dove awards and platinum and gold albums. Bloogood also dug deep into the archives and added two songs plus a guitar solo from the 1987 Live In Sacramento, CA show: "You Lose", "Guitar Burn" and "Vagrant People".
Les provides this insight: "This is the album where we went to the record company and said let us (the band) produce this album and we will deliver you a great metal album. We were the writers, the arrangers and the producers. Yes, we had an engineer (Doug Dole), but we (the band) wrote all the songs and oversaw the entire mix. We locked ourself into a warehouse and worked all day long, every day until it was complete."
The tracklist is as follows:
"Battle Of The Flesh"
"Vagrant People"
"Self-Destruction"
"Alone In Suicide"
"Heartbeat (Of The City)"
"Eat The Flesh"
"Holy Fire"
"Crucify"
"The Messiah"
"Live Wire"
Bonus Tracks
"You Lose" (Live in Sacramento 1987)
"Zaffiro Guitar Burn" (Live in Sacramento 1987)
"Vagrant People" (Live in Sacramento 1987)
Official release date is March 29th. Pre-order at this location.

Both incarnations of the band share the same stage for an epic performance.
Watch rock and roll history with one of music's most anticipated reunion events as "Foreigner - Double Vision: Then And Now" celebrates the 40th anniversary of the band's multi-platinum 1978 album "Double Vision" with a masterful live performance of the band's biggest hits, filmed at Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort in Mount Pleasant, Michigan.

I believe we achieved that in this film and live album."

MASTODON Is 'About To Really Dig In On Some New Material'
Atlanta progressive metallers MASTODON are "about to really dig in on some new material," according to the band's drummer, Brann Dailor.
Dailor offered an update on the writing process for the follow-up to 2017's "Emperor Of Sand" while sharing several Instagram photos of the forest scenery in Asheville, North Carolina.
He wrote in an accompanying message: "Had a beautiful walk through the woods around Asheville with my Dad and stepmom. Perfect visit for some inspiration as we're about to really dig in on some new @mastodonrocks material. Feeling the doom."
This past August, Brann told the Razor 94.7 104.7 radio station that he and his bandmates were looking forward to making some new music after spending most of the last couple of years touring in support of "Emperor Of Sand".
"We have a [new] song that we wrote, and we recorded it," he said. "We have done so much touring — for 'Emperor', and then we did this 'Crack The Skye' [anniversary] tour with COHEED [AND CAMBRIA], and then [a couple of] festivals… We're kind of chomping at the bit to get in there and put together some of the ideas that have been swirling around. There's lots of riffs; there's lots of material. There's too much material, so we need to get in there and start chipping away at that giant hunk of granite and hopefully produce a beautiful sculpture for all to see."
"Emperor Of Sand" debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200. That album was nominated for the 2018 Grammy Award for "Best Rock Album," and its opening track, "Sultan's Curse", won the Grammy Award for "Best Metal Performance."

CRYSTAL VIPER Release Music Video For New Single "Bright Lights"
AFM Records will release the new Crystal Viper album, Tales Of Fire And Ice, on November 22. A video for the new single, "Bright Lights" can be found below. You can stream the single here.
In other news, the band recently welcomed new drummer, Cederick Forsberg (Blazon Stone, Rocka Rollas), who will debut live on stage on the forthcoming tour that starts at the end of November in Portugal.
The female fronted heavy metal act from Poland was founded by singer, guitarist and composer, Marta Gabriel. While the band is often labeled as a new wave of traditional heavy metal act, their new album presents a bit of a different approach. New songs are heavier, more intense, but first of all: more melodic.
The new album will be available as a CD, limited edition vinyl LP and digital download, the cover photo was taken by the famous Belgian photographer Tim Tronckoe, known for his cooperation with acts such as Nightwish, Delain and Epica.
CD and digital version of the album will include a bonus track in the shape of a Dokken cover, "Dream Warriors" (originally recorded for the A Nightmare On Elm Street 3 movie), while the vinyl LP version will include Crystal Viper's rendition of the I-Ten song "Alone", mainly known as the power ballad recorded by Heart.

Sweden's ARCTIC RAIN Sign With Frontiers Music Srl; Label Debut Due In The New Year
Frontiers Music Srl has announced the signing of a new Swedish melodic rock sensation, Arctic Rain.
"With influences like Whitesnake, Mr Big, Foreigner, Talisman, Def Leppard, Toto, Treat, Dokken, White Lion, Journey, and so many other great bands, we believe the result of our album is somewhat a distillation of our combined interpretation of that era of music,” says guitarist Magnus Beglund. "In late 2018, a demo recording was made and sent out to a number of record labels, and the response was very promising. Several labels announced their interest, but the preferred label for us, Frontiers, did not respond. It turned out that somehow our mail had not reached them, and when all was sorted out and it was clear that Frontiers in fact were interested, there was no question what label to go for. There is no mistaking the true love of music these guys have!"
Arctic Rain is the result of a collaboration between songwriter/keyboardist Pete Alpenborg, guitarist Magnus Berglund, and singer Tobias Jonsson. Later on, bassist Gert Daun and drummer Jonas Jönsson joined forces with the band for the recording of their upcoming album. The aim for the band was to write songs with strong melodic rock vibes based around the type of tasteful instrumental harmonies typical for a lot of bands in the '80s and '90s. A revival of sorts, but with a modern touch, both melodically and for the overall sound.
While the core of Arctic Rain is undoubtedly Pete’s songwriting - he has an impressive track record of working with reputable acts such as Revolution Saints, House Of Lords, Issa, All 41, Toby Hitchcock, Sunstorm, Kee Of Hearts and many more - Magnus' tasteful guitar playing and Tobias’ amazing voice create an outstanding final product, which shows once again why Sweden is the golden land of melodic rock.
