Fudge Smith Quits PENDRAGON
Fudge Smith It seems as if all the bands of the eighties British 'neo' prog scene have started recycling their drummers. After IQ announced the departure of their drummer, it is now PENDRAGON that announces a line-up change after Fudge Smith vacates the drum stool after some 20-odd years. The following statement comes from the PENDRAGON website:
"We regret to say that the rumours you may have heard are true and that Fudge is no longer in PENDARGON. Over the last few years it seems that our paths have been pushing toward different needs from our lives, we don't want to say a huge amount about this because it is going to end up being a great big finger pointing session and right now we are totally committed to getting on with the tour in a positive frame of mind.
We wish him well for everything in the future.
We are still really very excited about the tour, and we have drafted in whizz kid Joe Crabtree, who has recently worked with David Cross from KING CRIMSON. We look forward to working with Joe and our eyes are now set to a brand new future!
Nick, Peter and Clive."
