Former STRATOVARIUS Bassist\'s MESS Project Working On Debut EP
MESS, the Finnish heavy metal band featuring bassist Jari Kainulainen (ex-STRATOVARIUS), drummer Atte Sarkima (AJATTARA, VERENPISARA), vocalist Tommi "Tuple" Salmela (TAROT, CARDIANT) and guitarist Elias Viljainen (E.VIL), is currently working on its first EP, tentatively due before the end of the year.
MESS previously described its music as "very riff-oriented metal, occationally like BLACK SABBATH and PANTERA, but still very unique sounding. With raw vocals occasionally reaching very high notes and screaming guitar leads that will drill a hole in your skull as the drum and bass will continuously keep on that outrageous beat..."
MESS was originally formed in 2001 but went on hiatus the following year after Jari and Atte were unable to find the right singer for the project.
