Heiliges Herz - New Album Samsas Traum
Alexander Kaschte who best represents heinous lunacy in the German-speaking realm has once again managed to lead his aficionados to a frightening place where misanthropy, isolation and mere destructiveness prevail. However, this time the effect is not evoked by orchestral and electric sounds. "Heiliges Herz" is metaphorically dressed in an impenetrable garment made from black metal.
The list of persons helping to create this extraordinary oeuvre is as impressive as the work itself:
SAMSAS TRAUM - hitherto been without a drummer- now has a world famous musician in the ranks: Ex-CRADLE OF FILTH-drummer and AT THE GATES founding member ADRIAN ERLANDSSON. The famous Gothenburg STUDIO FREDMAN is responsible for the mix and FREDERIK NORDSTRÖM, who has successfully produced DIMMU BORGIR, DARK TRANQUILLITY, IN FLAMES, ARCH ENEMY and OPETH helped to make the bombastic and towering sound of "Heiliges Herz". The mastering was done by PETER IN DE BETOU in Stockholm's mastering studio TAILORMAID (masterings for ENSLAVED, HYPOCRISY, KATATONIA, MARDUK, UNLEASHED and WATAIN) and guarantees that nothing is left to be desired on this album. It will surely enthuse their earliest followers but also those who have been put under the spell by the "a.Ura"-album.
Furthermore, "Heiliges Herz" leaves nothing to be desired concerning the design: the limited first edition of the album comes in a huge, special book format and a slipcase with silver foil embossing. The 44 booklet pages are bound in linen and made of a special paper with a lacquer print and contain lyrics, liner notes, many photos illustrations exclusively done for the album by the Lithuanian artist NATALIE SHAU. Last but not least there is a bonus CD which contains remixes by PAIN, WUMPSCUT, PAL, L'AME IMMORTELLE, IN STRICT CONFIDENCE and INGO RÖMLING and many hitherto unreleased songs and treasures from Alexander Kaschte's archives which make "Heiliges Herz" a Must Buy.
