OZZY OSBOURNE Says His Farewell Tour Should Be Called 'Slowing Down', Not 'No More Tours': 'I'll Still Tour, But Not As Extensively'

Ozzy Osbourne has told Pasadena Star-News that the name of his "farewell tour," "No More Tours 2", is a bit misleading as he has no plans on "retiring" from music, just easing up on the hectic tour schedule that would have him constantly traveling from country to country, state to state and not spending nearly enough downtime at home.

"People have gotten that all wrong," he said. "The tour should have been the Ozzy Osbourne 'Slowing Down Tour'. What I'm actually doing is not going out on January 1 and coming back on December 31. I'll still tour, but not as extensively like I have been for the last 50 years. I mean, I have grandchildren now and I'm 70 years old and I don't want to be found dead in a hotel room somewhere. I'm going to do it at a more leisurely pace and do some shows in Vegas … but I'll never stop. The whole lifestyle I have lived, it has all come down to the fact that there are people who want to hear me and as long as they want to hear me, I'm there."

Ozzy previously told Rolling Stone magazine that he wanted to "slow it down a little" and be there for his family. "I enjoy being a grandfather," he said. "I don't want to go through another generation of Osbournes without seeing them grow up."

"No More Tours 2" is a reference to Ozzy's 1992 "No More Tours" trek, which marked the first time the singer announced the end of his days as a touring artist. The tour name was a pun based on the title of his then-most recent solo album, "No More Tears". Ozzy returned to action three years later and has been on the road ever since.

Last year, Ozzy reunited with guitarist Zakk Wylde, who played on studio albums such as "No Rest For The Wicked", "No More Tears" and "Ozzmosis" and who has toured on and off with Ozzy for nearly 30 years.

Ну, шедевров вроде Blizzard of Ozz, No Rest For the wicked, Ozzmosis я и не жду, но если по уровню будет как 3 крайних - тоже сойдет. Хоть шерсти клок.

Как зачем ?. Пара-тройка хороших песен - лучше, чем вообще ничего.
Мне весьма нравились , например, That I Never had, No easy way out, Junkie, Black Rain, Allmighty dollar, Soulsucker, Time.
Это как у Мегадета после Риска - плююсь почти постоянно, но и оттуда можно насобирать песен на пару нормальных
альбомов.

Согласен с nabastak по поводу лучше чем ничего. Пройдет определенное количество лет, все наши герои рока отойдут в мир иной и что будем слушать? Конечно же наследие, что они нам оставили. Пройдет лет 30 и альбомы, которые они записывают сейчас будут считаться классикой.

В своё время, когда появилась возможность записывать диски, у меня был фирменный озмосес и собственная компиляция песен на 10 из всех других альбомов старого наркомана. С тех пор ничего цепляющего не вышло, кроме Dreamer и Running Out of Time.
