DOWNTREAD To Release New Studio Album In November; "World Is Breaking" Video Posted
After a short hiatus, Downtread returns with a new studio album, The War Behind The Wolf, set for a November 6th global street date.
Formed in 2007, the band has steadily attracted a growing fan base propelled by their aggressive riffs, titanic drums and prowess in delivering hook-laden songwriting. Downtread is a modern classic, riding high on lofty rock vibes with a clear nod to guitar work emanating from the best of the ‘70s and ‘80s , alongside an expressive 21st century aggressive growl. The ten tracks featured on the upcoming album offer unbridled fury alongside a universally offered tale of redemption. Downtread's lyrics approach disparate themes that include today’s culture of violence, imploding relationships and in one instance a song about a werewolf.
Lead vocalist and guitarist Brett Petrusek shares, "The stories on this album are without question delving into the darker depths of self-realization, struggle, rage and the current wave of terror and violence in the modern world. Upon first listen maybe a bit polarizing and politically charged, but there’s typically a contrasting positive message lurking in the background. As always we want to deliver thought-provoking songs packed with attitude. I think the words and the music on War Behind the Wolf come together in a perfectly explosive way.”

Over the last several years, Downtread has staged performances in front of hundreds of thousands of rock fans.
