Listen To New AMARANTHE Single 'That Song'

AMARANTHE, the cutting-edge Swedish rock band with the triple lead-vocal attack, has dropped "That Song" from its upcoming album, "Maximalism". Check it out at Spotify. "The time has come to unveil 'That Song' to the world," said guitarist Olof Mörck. "Showcasing a new side of AMARANTHE, the song combines an anthemic arena riff with an irresistibly groovy flow, creating maybe the most unique AMARANTHE track yet! Describing the strife and hardships that follow with trying to pursue your dreams, 'That Song' embodies the turning point in your life when your direction becomes clear. So stomp your feet and clap your hands to 'That Song'!" "Maximalism" will be released on October 21 via Spinefarm Records. The follow-up to 2014's "Massive Addictive" is described in a press release as "a hyper-modern, metallic beast of a record" containing "12 new tracks that fully live up to the 'bigger, bolder' promise of the title." "Maximalism" was produced once again by Jacob Hansen (VOLBEAT, EPICA, DELAIN) and mastered by Svante Forsback (RAMMSTEIN, APOCALYPTICA, DRAGONFORCE). Refusing to be pinned down by genre or convention, AMARANTHE have consistently pursued the less travelled path, blending different sounds and styles to create a signature hybrid approach, and "Maximalism" sees their collective wide-angle vision laid out with greater skill and conviction than ever before. From the locomotive power of "Faster" and "Fury" through to the more measured drama of "Limitless" and "Endlessly" (a solo tour de force for singer Elize Ryd), this is AMARANTHE ramping up both the energy and the emotion, and generally pushing everything to the max. не особо разбираюсь по всех этих ФМ-форматных группах и исполнителях, но, какое-то подобие бритни спирс и иже с ними...если честно, это ужасно, с учетом того, что раньше у группы были довольно-таки, относительно, конечно, приличные вещи

Ничего себе, очень хотят на радио ребята. Откровенная попытка сделать песню в стиле современной конвейерной попсы, украсив дист гитарками. Только в той стилистике артистов хватает, кому они нужны там, до этого они хотя бы старались сочетать метал и попсу, иногда удачно вполне, здесь уже не их территория

Да, странная песня, даже для них, подошла бы для сольного проекта Элиз Рид, но в рамках AMARANTHE, смотриться совсем уж попсово, не понятно как народ будет реагировать на эту песню на концерте. Напомнило бойзбэнд FIVE.=)
