Dorothy, the raven-haired rock star from Los Angeles, returned over the summer with the scorching new single "Mud". She rode in on a black horse, equipped with leather and signature red lip, the rock world will once again be schooled in the undeniable chemistry that is alive and well amongst metal and rock loyalists and country badasses.
A musical outlaw through and through, Dorothy's new single is a display of raw, full-bodied vocal power complimented by heavy-hitting instrumentation and riffs galore. The song landed at No. 3 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart and at No. 4 on the Active Rock chart.
Earlier this month, the singer shared an explosive performance video of the song, something her legion of fans has been eager to see and hear. Today, she unveils the official video for the song. Watch it below.
The visual presents Dorothy in all of her badass rock 'n' roll glory.
"My producer Scott Stevens's wife Flavia produced the music video," shares Dorothy. "Shoutout to the director Rich Ragsdale. My longtime friend Linda Strawberry co-edited and I am over the moon with how the video turned out! This new era is full of passion and fire. We have a lot more up our sleeves. Enjoy the official video for 'Mud'."
Last month, Dorothy released the new track "The Devil I Know". Watch the lyric video below.
The details of Dorothy's forthcoming fourth studio album will be announced in due course.
Dorothy's discography thus far includes "Gifts From The Holy Ghost" (2022),which was inspired by a spiritual awakening, as well as "ROCKISDEAD" (2016),which inspired Roc Nation to sign the artist to the label, and "28 Days In The Valley" (2018). The Budapest, Hungary-born stunner has enjoyed over one billion global streams combined across her career and has participated in high-profile collaborations with everyone from STAIND to Slash of GUNS N' ROSES to Scott Stapp of CREED to ALICE COOPER guitarist Nita Strauss, earning and ultimately cementing her place among the hard rock elite.
Progressive rock / metal outfit Ereley has unleashed the music video for their gripping track "Type 0 Steel", off their album Garden, out now via Wormholedeath.
The video unfolds like a dark, Lovecraftian short film, packed with stirring visuals and lyrics that tap into themes of loss, numbness, and that all-too-familiar battle with our inner shadows.
In "Type 0 Steel", Ereley takes viewers on a soul-stirring journey of inner conflict—a powerful reflection on the human struggle between yearning for beauty and the reality of one’s darker self. Vividly depicted through striking imagery, the video captures the clash of a “colorful” dream against a shadowed existence.
Ereley's musical style, termed "heavy joy music," blends elements of doom, death, thrash, and prog metal, creating a dynamic, progressive sound.

Nefarious Industries welcomes experimental death/grind abomination, Defigurement, to the label’s noncompliant roster, today unveiling the searing new single, “Wounded Landscape”, featuring guest guitar from Takafumi Matsubara of Gridlink.
Defigurement encompasses a cast of life-long henchmen from across the metal/extreme music underground, uniting Kevin Fetus (Murder Construct, Lack Of Interest, Fetus Eaters), Damian Talmage (ex-Bad Acid Trip, Mormon Mincers, Violent Opposition), Mike Heller (ex-Fear Factory, Malignancy, Raven, Sigh), and Matti Güey (Rottenness, Formless Master, Necropathy). Together, these four human units culminate their crafts into an experimental brew of debaucherous blasts, lecherous riffs, and overall nauseating brutality.
While the debut Defigurement album is being finalized, the band today deploys “Wounded Landscape,” recorded by the band, mixed by Rob Caldwell (Cannibal Corpse, Municipal Waste,
Brazilian progressive metallers, Maestrick, are excited to unveil their new single and accompanying lyric video, “Upside Down”, out now via Frontiers Music Srl. Watch the clip below, and stream the track here.
Describing the new single, the band stated: "'Upside Down' shows the “sarcastic prog metal” side of our band. Musically, it draws inspirations from iconic rock giants such as Deep Purple and Jimi Hendrix. We wanted to somehow bring those classic hammond grooves and open chords to the symphonic universe of someone like Danny Elfman.”
“From a conceptual perspective, 'Upside Down' takes place in the first few hours of night, where the main character's adult life begins. Everything has changed now, as much as he still sees the world through child-like eyes. He meets several night creatures who introduce him to malice and trickery, leading him to realize nothing will ever be the same. Altogether, the song is a progressive metal amalgam of colourful soundscapes and spooky atmospheres that you'd expect to see in a Tim Burton movie”, they added.
Founded in São José do Rio Preto/SP by three friends, Maestrick have been active since 2006 and bring in their sound elements of rock and progressive heavy metal, Brazilian regional music, world music and classical music.
The band have released two albums in Brazil, Europe, United States and Japan, and are recognized for drinking from different artistic aspects - cinema, plastic arts, visual arts and literature – for their compositions, which results in a unique and, according to specialized critics, innovative style.

In related news, Century Media Records will also be making Dan Swanö’s Odyssey and Total Terror projects available again. Total Terror, which featured up to three members of Edge Of Sanity, stood for extremely brutal crust-core/grind with Swedish lyrics throughout its 20-track self-titled album from 1994 and the material now comes remixed as well as with the 7 tracks of the 1993 demo remastered as bonus for its 30th Anniversary of existence.
Odyssey on the other hand was more in the epic but progressive doom heavy metal style and featured various of Dan Swanö’s befriended musicians in guest roles for both the self-titled 3-track EP initially released in 1999 as well as the Reinventing The Past release from 2010, which saw the project recording pretty diverse cover songs of Depeche Mode, Sandra, Rainbow, Uriah Heep, Candlemass, UFO and Michael Schenker Group.
While the Odyssey EP now comes remastered, Reinventing The Past has even been remixed by Swanö in 2022, plus adding an upgraded alternative version of MSG’s “Lost Horizons” track in order to make it the definiti
With "A Sonication", Germany-based metal band OBSCURA launches the second of its trilogy concept, set to be released on February 7, 2025 via Nuclear Blast.
The group's second (seventh overall) album for Nuclear Blast pivots on many fronts. Advanced, elegant, and yet refreshing, "A Sonication" sums up past endeavors effortlessly as it gazes with purpose and conviction into the future. OBSCURA are fan-renowned and critically acclaimed for challenging and then expanding upon norms. Austin, Texas band, Scorpion Child, plays dark rock and roll that blends haunting themes and atmospheric melodies; a unique fusion of post-punk, hard rock, and brooding aesthetic. The band has returned in 2024, galvanized with a fortified lineup and renewed dedication. Scorpion Child will release its new album, I Saw The End As It Passed Right Through Me, on February 14, 2025 via Noize In The Attic Records. The LP is the long-awaited follow-up to the band's 2016 full-length, Acid Roulette (Nuclear Blast Records). Pre-order / save Scorpion Child's I Saw The End As It Passed Right Through Me now at this location.
The first taste of what I Saw The End As It Passed Right Through Me delivers lies in wait with the new single, "Outliers", a powerful punch of a song, filled with introspective lyrics, that perfectly encapsulates the band's distinct style. "Outliers" was recorded at Austin's Point West Recording with Charles Godfrey (Black Angels, The Mountain Goats). The video for Scorpion Child's "Outliers" can be seen below.
"'Outliers' deep dives into the organizational use of fear tactics and the related, unknown forces that we are supposed to run from, or conform to," offers Scorpion Child vocalist Aryn Jonathan Black. "The song is a look into the thought that 'they' are always watching us and that we should play the same game from our POV in the shadows."
"I Saw The End As It Passed Right Through Me is a quite intense and rather moody record," Black continues. "I wrote these songs from the pits of a deep depression after going through a really rough patch in life where my mental health was very poor. Don't think of it as all gloomy, though, because in our sadness there are always euphoric times of extreme happiness and nirvana. It's truly an honest record, and we are excited to perform it live."
BMG will release the second album by IRON MAIDEN guitarist Adrian Smith and THE WINERY DOGS frontman and acclaimed solo artist Richie Kotzen, "Black Light / White Noise", on March 7, 2025. The news comes alongside the release of the album's first single, "White Noise".
Recorded at The House, Los Angeles, California, produced by Richie and Adrian and mixed by Jay Ruston, the ten-track album is a masterclass in modern rock, with Adrian and Richie's prodigious talents as songwriters, musicians and vocalists on full display.
Lead single "White Noise" perfectly illustrates the quality and strength of the album, boasting a gloriously heavy riff, soaring vocals, driving rhythms and a hook-filled chorus.
Smith comments: "The song is about the rise of social media, how people get addicted to it, the power of it and how we get bombarded with it 24/7."
"It was actually a riff Adrian brought in," adds Kotzen. "I then immediately started improvising the melody and the lyric that became the chorus. It had another working title, completely different to what it ended up being and we kind of came up on the spot with that call and answer in the chorus that turned into 'White Noise'."
The accompanying video sees the two guitar heroes delivering a performance as cool as it is effortless and showcases the great partnership they have formed. And that partnership has flourished and grown beautifully since their debut self-titled album in March 2021. Released to widespread critical acclaim, it was a melting pot of hard rock and traditional R&B that was a powerful calling card for what these two icons can do. On its follow-up, "Black Light / White Noise", the duo have risen to even greater heights, producing a truly magnificent collection of songs that stands shoulder to shoulder with the finest work either of them have ever produced.
From the opening heavy blast of "Muddy Water" through to the epic and stately closer "Beyond The Pale", these ten songs illustrate the myriad talents at Adrian Smith and Richie Kotzen's disposal and reveal that this is both an album and a partnership that will endure for years to come.
Atmospheric, ambitious, diverse and brilliant, "Black Light / White Noise" not only features stratospheric guitar solos and raw, bluesy vocals but soulful touches, intricate playing, beautiful songwriting and an assured poise and style that brings to mind a host of legendary musicians (THIN LIZZY, Jimi Hendrix, Prince, CREAM, FREE, DEEP PURPLE) but is undeniably the work of Adrian Smith and Richie Kotzen in perfect harmony.
Kotzen comments: "We're so proud of this new album. It follows on from our debut and the EPs by focusing on collaborating on riffs, lyrics, harmonies and vocals. There's a SMITH/KOTZEN DNA now and it's definitely something we need to get out on the road with. I was pleased to work with my friend Jay Ruston on the mixing of the album, let alone my wife Julia (Lage) — who actually plays on 'White Noise' as well as four other tracks."
"We're like an extended family now," adds Smith. "We have a sound and a vibe and I don't think many artists are doing what we do — sharing the vocals and the guitars. It takes me back to those classic bands like HUMBLE PIE and CREAM — which is not a bad place to start!"

This past July, Smith joined Kotzen on stage at the Islington Assembly Hall in London, England to perform THE YARDBIRDS classic "Shapes Of Things".
SMITH/KOTZEN released the "Better Days …And Nights" EP in September 2022 via BMG. The effort comprised five previously unreleased live tracks, plus for the first time ever on CD, the four studio tracks featured on their sold-out, limited-edition 12-inch vinyl EP, "Better Days", released in conjunction with Record Store Day in November 2021.
The live songs were recorded during SMITH/KOTZEN's inaugural whistle-stop tour of the U.S. and U.K. at the start of 2022, which attracted unanimously rave reviews from fans and media alike, celebrating the duo's debut on stage together with stellar back-up from Richie's wife, internationally acclaimed bass player Julia Lage (VIXEN),and drummer Bruno Valverde of ANGRA.
Japan's metal bible Burrn! magazine reviewing the Whisky A Go Go show in Los Angeles pronounced it, "An amazing night….this rock n' roll band is very different from any other…totally unique …and bringing you great songs!". U.K.'s Classic Rock magazine said the show was a, "masterclass in guitar playing and performance".
The original EP tracks were produced by Kotzen and Smith and mixed by Kevin Shirley. The live tracks were produced and mixed by Kotzen and Smith.
SMITH/KOTZEN's eponymous debut album was released globally through BMG in March 2021 to media and fan acclaim, charting No. 10 on Billboard's Top Album Sales chart in the U.S., Top 20 in the U.K. as well as in other major markets such as Germany, Japan and Canada.
Smith is best known as one of IRON MAIDEN's principal guitarists, having also enjoyed success as a solo artist. Kotzen is the frontman for THE WINERY DOGS as well as having been the guitarist for both MR. BIG and POISON during his long and acclaimed career, which has to date seen him release more than 20 solo albums. Both artists are also prolific songwriters.
COHEED AND CAMBRIA will release its new album, "The Father Of Make Believe", on March 14, 2025 via Virgin Music Group. The new full-length marks the tenth studio album from the New York band and continues the narrative of "The Amory Wars" / "Vaxis" universe, following their 2022 album "Vaxis Act II: A Window Of The Waking Mind", which garnered critical success and the band's first Top 10 radio single of their career with "Shoulders". Alongside the album's announcement, COHEED AND CAMBRIA shares the new single "Searching For Tomorrow", which arrives alongside an Anthony Scheppard-directed and animated video. "The Father Of Make Believe" will also include the recently released single "Blind Side Sonny", arguably COHEED AND CAMBRIA's most aggressive track to date that was complemented by a Max Moore-directed video that unveiled a new villain in "The Amory Wars" realm.
Speaking about "Searching For Tomorrow" and "The Father Of Make Believe", COHEED AND CAMBRIA bandleader, vocalist and lead guitarist Caludio Sanchez shares: "This song is a reminder that always looking for something better in your life robs you of being able to appreciate the good things you already have.
"With every album I try to 'outdo' the one before, or at least make something that sounds different and evolved in some way. I think that initial struggle added to the feeling of having a kind of musical midlife crisis…this constant internal battle of searching for creative release and growth…the being unsure if it's the right path. This one took more effort in the beginning, but in the end I think the digging was worth it for the subsequent surge."
Additionally, the "Vaxis Act III: The Father Of Make Believe" limited-edition box set is available for pre-order today and features the CD and digital download along with various exclusives, including Blind Side Sonny's fully wearable and functional helmet and neuro-dynamic display goggles, "Vaxis Act III: The Father Of Make Believe" hardcover illustrated novella coffee table book, neuro-dynamic display goggles app for display customization, 11.5" x 35" "Vaxis III: The Father Of Make Believe" bedroom poster and a signed Death Certificate of Siv Trafinder.
One way to look at "The Father Of Make Believe" is COHEED AND CAMBRIA establishing a desire to move forward while honoring a remarkable history. Another: a series of questions, emotions, and thoughts at war with each other — "a war within myself," as Sanchez puts it. "The Father Of Make Believe" fits into the band's sonic oeuvre with wailing guitars, drums that crack like fireworks, and Sanchez's aching, powerful voice centering us through moments both placid and pinwheeling. Where the set forges new ground is in how Sanchez embraces the role of main character. He's often used epic songcraft to mask the stories he wanted to tell: reflections on an addicted father, memories of his beloved grandfather, fears about raising a child in a cruel world, anxieties around losing the love of his life. This time around, he's writing more directly about his life and, especially, his career. Sanchez is the Father of Make Believe, gazing down upon this world he's wrought.
Next year, COHEED AND CAMBRIA will join TOOL, PRIMUS, MASTODON, EAGLES OF DEATH METAL and more for the Tool In The Sand festival in the Dominican Republic in March ahead of 2000 Trees with KNEECAP, TAKING BACK SUNDAY, ALEXISONFIRE and more in the United Kingdom in July. Next November, COHEED will embark on their S.S. Neverender 2025 cruise with THURSDAY, L.S. DUNES, THE DEAR HUNTER, HAIL THE SUN, MEET ME AT THE ALTAR and more. Earlier this year, COHEED AND CAMBRIA traversed North America with INCUBUS, which saw the band play legendary venues across the country, including sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden in New York City and Allstate Arena in Chicago as well as a co-headline tour with legendary funk-prog masters PRIMUS. Also, COHEED AND CAMBRIA headlined the Saturday night at Furnace Fest in Alabama and performed both dates of When We Were Young festival in Las Vegas before their trek to Australia where they headlined the multi-city Monolith festival.
For the last 20 years, COHEED AND CAMBRIA have continuously broken the mold of what a rock band can be, forging their own path and building a universe around their music unlike any other. Whether it is in the way their genre-spanning approach to songwriting has allowed them to bridge worlds without being contained to one, or the multifaceted story arc of their albums and comic book series which mark the longest-running concept story in music, COHEED AND CAMBRIA have consistently shaped new standards, never conformed. Comprised of Claudio Sanchez (vocals / guitar),Travis Stever (guitar),Josh Eppard (drums) and Zach Cooper (bass) the band has gripped listeners and press around the globe with their visionary compositions and conceptual mastery.

British metalcore giants ARCHITECTS will release their new studio album, "The Sky, The Earth & All Between", on February 28, 2025 via Epitaph Records. Alongside the news, the band have revealed the third single from the project, titled "Whiplash". Produced by Jordan Fish, the track received a "Hottest Record" premiere on BBC Radio 1 earlier today.
True to its name, the track delivers head-spinning intensity, blending heavy instrumentation with stomping rock riffs and furious screams from vocalist Sam Carter. Known for creating massive sonic landscapes, ARCHITECTS once again bring a brutal, circle-pit anthem with "Whiplash", featuring one of their catchiest choruses alongside a bone-crushing metalcore breakdown.
A cinematic video for "Whiplash" shot in Slovenia accompanies the release.
ARCHITECTS drummer Dan Searle says: "We've long admired director 'Specter' for his work with RAMMSTEIN so it was a pleasure to bring him in for this song to create something for us. His visual concept gave life to the words in a unique way that may create more questions than answers, but sometimes that's the beauty in art.
"'Whiplash' marks the beginning of a new era for ARCHITECTS. It is a song that speaks of tribalism, of a deepening chasm that lies between human beings based simply on opinions and beliefs. It gave us the opportunity to explore these concepts in a way that we haven't before and for the first time in a while it gave us fuel to write something truly ferocious."
Sam Carter adds: "We're so happy to be back and to be releasing a song that we love so much, it's us at our very best and we think it'll be a fan favorite."
This will be ARCHITECTS' eleventh studio album, with "Whiplash" delivering an intense fusion of power and stadium-swaying melody, offering a tantalizing preview of what's to come from "The Sky, The Earth & All Between" in the New Year. The band revealed the first single from the album, "Seeing Red" last December and second single, "Curse", in April this year. Both songs collectively have amassed over 70 million streams to date.
Since their last studio album in 2022, the critically acclaimed "The Classic Symptoms Of A Broken Spirit", ARCHITECTS have continued their stratospheric rise, establishing themselves as one of the most important rock bands to emerge from the U.K. They have spent the last 12 months touring extensively, most notably as one of the personally chosen support acts on the METALLICA tour as well as appearances at Louder Than Life, Aftershock, Mayhem, Download and a headline slot at Bloodstock Open Air festival. They have also just announced a handful of dates in support of LINKIN PARK next summer.

The official music video for STEELER's new single, "Give Me Guitars (Or Give Me Death)", can be seen below.
1980: the dawn of the American heavy metal movement, and the birth of STEELER, one of the bands whose sound would define that cultural revolution. Shortly after the release of their iconic 1983 self-titled album, that supernova exploded into multiple bands and projects that would each carve their own places in that era's history, leaving an undeniable impact on a metal generation.
STEELER is notable for featuring then-emerging guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen, who left the band shortly after the completion of STEELER's self-titled album to form ALCATRAZZ and launch a solo career.
This triumphant reunion puts a powerful exclamation point on that legacy with the band's first new song in over 40 years, and their first-ever official music video.
"Give Me Guitars (Or Give Me Death)" proves that four decades have done nothing to diminish the power and the passion upon which STEELER was built. "Give Me Guitars (Or Give Me Death)" celebrates the glory of an era that may be gone but certainly not forgotten, combining all the elements that made 1980s metal the soundtrack of so many lives: an anthemic chorus, screaming lyrics that pay tribute to songs and stars that paved the street of dreams, loud powerful music and incendiary guitar pyrotechnics.
That music is provided by men who lived it, then and now: vocalist/guitarist Ron Keel, lead guitarist Mitch Perry, drummer Mark Edwards, bassist Rik Fox and session drummer Dwain Miller. The song was written by Ron Keel specifically for STEELER and is featured on his new RFK Media album release "Keelworld".
The "Give Me Guitars (Or Give Me Death)" video was directed and produced by David Pear.
A documentary film is now in production by Pear which will tell the entire story behind the STEELER legacy. "American Metal - The Story Of Steeler" will be released in 2025.
In a 2017 interview with Sleaze Roxx, Keel explained how Malmsteen got involved with STEELER: "Mike [Varney] invited me over to his place and he was adamant that we needed to make a change at guitar [before we recorded the STEELER album]. We were at his apartment listening to a bunch of tapes… He had selected a few cassettes with players that he felt were appropriate for STEELER. There was one in particular that he felt was 'out of this world' and that was Yngwie Malmsteen. We must have listened to a thousands tapes that day. [Laughs]."
Ron continued: "When we put in Yngwie's tape, there was something different, something special, obviously. Yngwie has something that most guitarists can only dream about. He was special. It was right then and there that we began the process to get him to America to join STEELER. We just needed to wait until he was 'legal' to sign the recording contract. By that, I mean we were awaiting Yngwie to obtain his 'green card.'"
Asked in a 2020 interview with The Metal Voice if there was any chance of a STEELER reunion with Malmsteen, Ron said: "No. [Yngwie] wouldn't do that. I would do it in a heartbeat, but he wouldn't do that. I think it would be fantastic for us to come together and do a song for charity.
"I respect his contribution to music and how that STEELER record became one of the iconic foundations of metal and how the album got both our careers started," Keel added. "But we are different animals and we don't belong in the same zoo."
On November 17, 2024, the music video of the new song "Mastery" by rock supergroup THE LAST ROCKSTARS, led by Yoshiki, was released on the Melodee label's official YouTube account. Coming just days after the premiere of the music video of the band's second single "Psycho Love", the song has been met with overwhelming excitement from fans all over the world.
"Mastery" was chosen as the official image song for "Tekken 8", the latest installment of the world's most popular 3D fighting game series Tekken, and the special collaboration video features several characters from the game.
The video was first previewed in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, which was the venue for the world's largest e-sports tournament, "Esports World Cup 2024", held in August this year with a total prize of $60 million.
Created as a game story trailer, the video is composed of vibrant CG images from "Tekken 8", and in addition to many Tekken characters, a character (Nina) — who looks like Yoshiki — appears at the beginning. When it was projected on a massive screen with loud volume at the venue, the powerful images caused a roar of applause.
"Mastery", produced by Yoshiki, Hyde and Sugizo, features fierce and aggressive guitar and vocals, as well as a beautiful piano melody that weaves the entire story together, creating the magnificent, sweeping energy of a feature film. The video matches the immense scope of the Tekken series' 30-year history and demands repeat viewing again and again.
On November 11, THE LAST ROCKSTARS released the full version music video for their second single "Psycho Love". It was also announced that guitarist Miyavi would be leaving the band. The music video is the full version that fans have been waiting for and is filled with the band's overwhelming energy and dynamic performance. THE LAST ROCKSTARS is a super band formed in 2022 by four members Yoshiki, Hyde, Sugizo and Miyavi. After the release of their debut single "The Last Rockstars (Paris Mix)", they appeared on NHK's "Kouhaku Uta Gassen" and successfully completed their debut tour in Japan and the United States, attracting overwhelming attention both at home and abroad.
A project in which Yoshiki and Miyavi will collaborate is also currently underway.
THE LAST ROCKSTARS leader Yoshiki recently underwent his third cervical spine surgery and is currently concentrating on rehabilitation under the guidance of a team of doctors in Los Angeles. After his second surgery, he continued to perform on the drums, knowing that it would mean sacrificing his daily life, but this time he is prioritizing his recovery and is therefore prohibited from performing on the drums for the time being. It has also been suggested that, depending on future developments, he may not be able to play the drums at all.
Today, UK metal legends, Raging Speedhorn, have released a video for their new single, "Night Wolf", their debut release on their new label, Spinefarm Records.
Raging Speedhorn comments on the video: "Shot in just over a day, the 'Night Wolf' video was inspired by our love of 80s movies and plays on a line taken from the single, "the animal inside is you". With tongue firmly in-cheek, it shows the transition from day into night and human turning into wild animal."
A major presence within the UK metal scene for the past two decades, with half a dozen crushing studio outings to their name (and what a name!), Raging Speedhorn have forged their reputation through hard touring, hard music, plus a no-compromise attitude… to everything.
Raging Speedhorn's new single, "Night Wolf", the band’s first for Spinefarm, produced by Russ Russell, sees the six musicians - as much gang as band - delivering one of the most memorable moments of their career, with all valves glowing, all faders up and all needles flicking red.
Raging Speedhorn comments on the single: “We’re super excited to release our new single ‘Night Wolf’, produced by our brother Russ Russell at Parlour Studios. It’s got everything you need in a classic Raging Speedhorn song: big riffs, thundering drums and great vocals. To us, it’s a mixture of Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath with a unique Speedhorn sound. We’ve been inspired by one of our favourite 80s movies, and we hope our fans will enjoy the retro vibe in our artwork.”
“Welcome To Shepherd’s Bush,” proclaimed Mick Jagger. “I’ve been waiting to say that for a little bit.”
With that opening introduction, shortly before launching into "Shattered", The Rolling Stones gave an inspired performance during this June 8, 1999, club show at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London for “1,800 lucky dogs,” according to Paul Sexton’s liner notes that accompany the release of Welcome To Shepherd’s Bush, the brand-new video release from the world’s greatest rock ‘n’ roll band.

StonesNews.com is reporting that the world premier of Welcome To Shepherd’s Bush will take place at Vue Leicester Square in Leicester Square, London, England on November 21.
Fans attending the premiere will have the chance to see this electrifying film before anyone else in stunning 4K with Dolby Atmos Sound – the only release in the Stones’ live concert film archive available at this quality.
Marking a return to what the liner notes term “the nostalgic intensity of a compact Stones show with the exciting echoes of Eel Pie Island and the Crawdaddy Club,” two iconic London venues where the band made its mark in the halcyon ’60’s of the British Invasion, this “secret gig” took place just several days before two sold-out shows at the 70,000-seat Wembley Stadium. The shows followed the release of the band’s 1998 live album, No Security, a series of North American gigs between January and April that year before returning to the U.K.
The star-studded audience at the gig marking The Rolling Stones’ homecoming included everyone from Anita Pallenberg to Aerosmith, Jerry Hall to Jon Bon Jovi, along with Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, Bob Geldof, Pete Townshend and Lenny Kravitz.
On December 6, Mercury Studios and The Rolling Stones proudly present Welcome To Shepherd’s Bush on various formats, including for the first time ever for a Stones video, 4K UHD with a Dolby Atmos audio option. Other formats include Blu-ray + two-CD set; a two-CD limited edition package of 15,000 worldwide; a two LP black vinyl package, and a direct-to-consumer two-LP set in 180-gram white vinyl.
The 90-minute set featured several rarely played deep cuts, including the only known performance to date of "Moon Is Up", from Voodoo Lounge, along with "Melody", the Black and Blue selection performed only once before, more than two decades previously, at the famous 1977 El Mocambo show in Toronto which was officially released in 2022. The live performance of Voodoo Lounge’s "Brand New Car" was one of only seven times the band included it in their set, the last back in 2002. Another highlight featured opening act Sheryl Crow joining the group on-stage for a raucous "Honky Tonk Women".
For those who just saw the Rolling Stones live on their recently completed, critically acclaimed Hackney Diamonds stadium tour, Welcome To Shepherd’s Bush offers an intimate glimpse of the group a quarter century ago, returning to their native turf with a vengeance.
“It’s good to be home, I’m telling you now,” said Keith before leaning into his solo numbers You Got the Silver and Before They Make Me Run. “It’s only rock ‘n’ roll, y’know what I mean?” A statement equally true then and now.

Blues-rock icon Joe Bonamassa has gifted fans with a brand-new holiday staple, "Lonely Christmas Eve", out now on streaming platforms. Infused with Bonamassa's signature guitar prowess and soulful vocals, "Lonely Christmas Eve" captures the spirit of the season while offering a fresh addition to his growing Christmas music collection. Co-written with James House (Martina McBride, Bonnie Raitt, George Strait),the song tells the story of friends gathering together to celebrate the season.
This release follows Bonamassa's recent Grammy nomination for "Blues Deluxe Vol. 2" in the "Best Contemporary Blues Album" category, his fourth career nomination. The album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Blues Album chart last year, resonating with Grammy voters and further solidifying his legacy as a modern blues powerhouse. His other nominations include 2022's "Royal Tea" ("Contemporary Blues Album"),2017's "Live At The Greek Theatre" ("Best Traditional Blues Album") and 2014's "Seesaw" (Contemporary Blues Album) with Beth Hart.
2024 has been a monumental year for Bonamassa, with his live album and concert film "Live At The Hollywood Bowl With Orchestra" debuting at No. 1 on multiple Billboard charts, including Blues, Classical and Classical Crossover. This achievement marks his 28th career No. 1 on the Billboard Blues chart, extending his record and showcasing his ability to blend blues with orchestral grandeur seamlessly.
Last Month, Bonamassa celebrated the tenth anniversary of his landmark album "Different Shades Of Blue" with the special digital reissue "Different Shades Of Blue (Overdrive)". Featuring rare tracks and fan favorites like the newly released "Black Irish Eyes", the project invited listeners to revisit the album that marked a turning point in his career, debuting at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 back in 2014.
Currently, Bonamassa is in the midst of his highly anticipated fall tour, delivering electrifying performances across the U.S. Fans can expect a powerful mix of new tracks, classic hits, and perhaps a few holiday surprises.
Only in his mid-40s, Bonamassa has become a living legend with an astounding multi-genre catalogue. He has released more than 40 albums, including studio and live recordings, as well as collaborative albums with his adventurous side projects: BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION and ROCK CANDY FUNK PARTY.
A prolific writer who is always on the hunt to expand his eclectic musical horizons, Bonamassa has a limitless work ethic whether it's in the studio, on the road, or working with other artists to spur new music. In recent years, he has produced an immense number of albums, including Joanne Shaw Taylor, Marc Broussard, Larry McCray, Jimmy Hall and others for his independent label KTBA Records, and has also recently launched Journeyman LLC, a full-service artist management, record label, concert promotion, and marketing company that builds awareness for independent artists worldwide.
Following their latest, colossal studio album Expedition One - released in January this year via AFM Records - Swedish melodic power metal frontrunners Metalite present a new video clip for the song "Cyberdome", recorded live at Skogsröjet 2024. Check it out below.
Expedition One tells a fictitious story about life on our planet in the year 2055. The band's upcoming magnum opus inspires with a wide range of diverse compositions and an intelligent sci-fi story that couldn’t be more topical. In addition, their fourth album offering manifests the musicians’ amazing artistic development.
Metalite's visionary sci-fi trip is told over sixteen multi-faceted songs that combine the quintet’s many strengths: powerful and at the same time delicate guitar riffs and solos, anthemic melodies courtesy of vocalist Erica Ohlsson, driving rhythms and cleverly positioned keyboard parts. Expedition One was produced by guitarist Edwin Premberg, and was mixed and mastered by Jacob Hansen.
