CREAM Legend Ginger Baker Undergoes Open Heart Surgery

According to the Mirror, Cream drum legend Ginger Baker has had open-heart surgery at the age of 76.

The 76-year-old’s daughter, Leda, said he is “on the road to recovery” after the surgery and a bad fall.

She said: “Ginger is on the road to recovery. After open heart surgery and a bad fall he is miraculously recovering well. He called the day after his surgery to say he was okay. Albeit a rather disorientated and unintelligible conversation he was at least awake and aware.

Baker had to cancel gigs when he was diagnosed with serious heart trouble earlier this year.
