Investigation Launched After TESTAMENT/EXODUS Show Was Oversold By More Than 400 Tickets

Investigation Launched After TESTAMENT/EXODUS Show Was Oversold By More Than 400 Tickets

According to The Herald-News, a club in Joliet, Illinois oversold the TESTAMENT/EXODUS show on Saturday, April 11 by more than 400 tickets. A total of 917 tickets were sold for the concert at Mojoes, which has a capacity of about 500.

After learning that the show was oversold, city officials sent a police detective and fire official to count people entering through the front door of the club.

"Once the count reached 500, our detective prevented more patrons from entering Mojoes," Joliet Deputy Police Chief Ed Gregory said.

"While the officers were there, they said they counted waiting in line 171 people at 8 o'clock," Gregory said.

The Mojoes owners reportedly informed the city they would refund money to fans who could not get into the concert.

The Mojoes show was part of the the "Dark Roots Of Thrash II" tour, featuring TESTAMENT amd EXODUS, alongside support act SHATTERED SUN.

RAGING SPEEDHORN To Record New Studio Album

RAGING SPEEDHORN To Record New Studio Album

Following on from their near-sellout tour, stunning sets at Sonisphere, Damnation and Hammerfest, resurrected Corby, U.K. metallers RAGING SPEEDHORN are set to launch a Pledge Music campaign for their hotly anticipated fifth album. RAGING SPEEDHORN has been teasing fans with the prospect of a new record since the band's return in February 2014. Earlier this year, the group released a single, "Halfway To Hell", which was praised widely by fans and media alike. Drummer Gordon Morison had this to say on the Pledge Music campaign and new record: "I'm really happy to announce that RAGING SPEEDHORN will be recording a new record this year.

"We're going to be teaming up with the guys at Pledge Music for the as-yet-untitled fifth record.

"We've always had amazing fans and now they have the chance to pledge and help us make the record, and in the mean time they can access exclusive content as well as getting their hands on limited edition pledge-only signed CDs, vinyl, screen prints and T-shirts, as well as Pledge-exclusive gigs, signed drum skins and much more." Fans wanting to contribute to the Pledge Music campaign can do so here.

RAGING SPEEDHORN is set to hit the road in May with returning U.S. noise barons WILL HAVEN.

RAGING SPEEDHORN formed in 1998 and went on to issue four records, the most successful being their second release, "We Will Be Dead Tomorrow", recorded by Billy Graziadei and Danny Schuler of BIOHAZARD fame. The band achieved chart success with "The Gush" in 2001, toured continuously with acts like SLIPKNOT, ILL NINO, RAMMSTEIN and WILL HAVEN, and performed at countless festivals across the globe, including main stage at the inaugural Download festival in 2004. They split in 2008 following the release of their last record, "Before The Sea Was Built", and a subsequent tour of Japan.

BEAUVOIR FREE To Release

BEAUVOIR FREE To Release 'American Trash' Album In June

Frontiers Music Srl will release "American Trash", the new album from rock and roll veterans Jean Beauvoir and Micki Free, on June 3 in Europe and June 7 in North America.

Best known as the driving force behind the legendary CROWN OF THORNS self-titled debut album in 1994, Beauvoir and Free's collective credits read like a "who's-who" of rock, with a list of collaborations that includes the likes of the RAMONES, KISS, Debbie Harry, THE PRETENDERS, John Waite, Lionel Richie, N'SYNC, Billy Gibbons of ZZ TOP, Bill Wyman, Carlos Santana and Prince, to name but a few.

The duo both coincidentally moved back to Los Angeles in 2003 and reconnected. They discussed joining forces again for a new project and after a few shows in Europe in 2013, a deal with Frontiers was inked for a brand new album, which was recorded in 2014.

The result is "American Trash", an album that shaped up as "the continuation of the BEAUVOIR FREE sound as the writing team for the CROWN OF THORNS debut," explains Jean Beauvoir.

"When we write together, there really is this magic. We know we want killer guitar riffs and major melodic chorus... and this is what turns out in our songs, in BEAUVOIR FREE style."

All the new songs came out like "rocking babies" in the BEAUVOIR FREE fold. "And all represent the sound only Jean and I create together. The 'inimitable' sound of BEAUVOIR FREE," says Micki Free.

"We both feel this CD is some of the best work we have done, right up their next to the CROWN OF THORNS debut," adds Jean. "We want to get out on the road and bring it to the fans. We receive a lot of enquires of, 'When are you guys coming back out on tour?' and people telling us they can't wait to hear the new material. Frankly, we can't wait for our fans to hear 'American Trash' as well."

An EPK (Electronic Press Kit) for "American Trash" is available below.

"American Trash" track listing:

01. Angels Cry02. Morning After03. American Trash04. Whiplash05. Just Breathe06. Shotgun To The Heart07. Never Give Up08. Cold Dark December09. It's Never Too Late10. She's A K.O.11. There's No Starting Over

GUNS N

GUNS N' ROSES Guitarist BUMBLEFOOT Releases 'Little Brother Is Watching' Video

"Little Brother Is Watching", the video for the title track of the new solo album from GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal, can be seen below. Released on February 24, the disc was composed, produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by Bumblefoot at his studio in New Jersey, and also features drummer Dennis Leeflang and a crowd of 100 fans stomping, chanting and singing backing vocals recorded at a listening party in New York.

Says Bumblefoot about the "Little Brother Is Watching" clip: "The director, Gabriella Loutfi, took a real cinematic approach with the song subject. Rather than showing the current evolution of Orwell's '1984' 'Big Brother,' we turned the clock back to 1984 BC, showing how power struggles for control and order are timeless.

"The video plays out like chapters of a story — dominating rule, a demand for instant gratification, a revolt and the tables turn.

"Gabriella gave a 'tip of the hat' to pioneer filmmakers like Georges Méliès, often choosing organic methods rather than digital effects. An example is the drowning scenes — long blue and white sheets stretching across a room, each end held by crew, being rippled and waved by hand as the actors would descend between them."

Thal recently revealed that he was focusing on his solo career after spending eight years playing in the Axl Rose-fronted band. Thal, however, stopped short of saying that he was no longer a member of GUNS N' ROSES, which has caused some fans to criticize him for not coming clean about where he stands with the group.

Thal responded to one fan via Facebook about the lack of clarity surrounding his position in GUNS N' ROSES. He wrote: "I can't erase a decade of history and I can't stop the media from asking what they want to ask and making up their own titles on their interviews and posts. No matter how much I ask them not to do it."

He added: "I've been honoring a request to not make any public statements about anything related to it, which continues to put me in a very awkward position that I don't want to be in. Not how I do things, repeatedly taking the bullet on this one."

Bumblefoot joined GUNS N' ROSES in early 2006 as the replacement for Buckethead. He made his live debut with the band at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on May 12, 2006.

SYSTEM OF A DOWN

SYSTEM OF A DOWN's SERJ TANKIAN: 'We Don't Have A Set Timeline' For Next Studio Album

In a brand new interview with SPIN.com, SYSTEM OF A DOWN frontman Serj Tankian was asked about the status of the band's long-awaited new studio album. He responded: "There is an openness to working together again when we all have material that is mutually accepted. We don't have a set timeline or anything else to report. One thing we do all agree upon is that it's gotta be a leap from what we've done before."

SYSTEM OF A DOWN bassist Shavo Odadjian said in a recent interview with Madcap Music Review that the band has already worked on its first new music in a decade, with plans to enter the studio in the coming months to record a full-length album. Asked about the chances of the group recording for the first time since 2005, Odadjian said, "Yeah, there's a very good chance. I don't have a date. We've already gone. We've written some songs. We're keeping it to ourselves. We're getting back to the bullshit of being together." SYSTEM last released new music in 2005 with the "Mezmerize" and "Hypnotize" albums, but started to tour again in 2011.

The band members have reiterated throughout the hiatus that they have remained friends, although drummer John Dolmayan hinted last year at some personal issues in the group, saying, "We probably would have been in the studio making an album already, but for personal reasons, one of our members cant be in the studio right now. It's a positive thing, but that's all I can say on that right now."

SYSTEM OF A DOWN recently added two more North American dates to its upcoming world tour. In addition to a show in Quebec on June 18, the band will now stop in Detroit on June 17 and Toronto on June 19.

The tour commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide and will feature SYSTEM OF A DOWN's first-ever performance in their homeland of Armenia, on April 23.

SKINLESS: New Song

SKINLESS: New Song 'Serpenticide' Available For Streaming

"Serpenticide", a brand new song from reunited New York death metallers SKINLESS, can be streamed below. The track comes off the band's first new studio offering in nearly a decade, titled "Only The Ruthless Remain", which will be unleashed on CD, LP and digitally via Relapse on June 2 in North America.

Featuring the band's classic late '90s lineup, SKINLESS's new CD is described in a press release as "a prime slab of truly brutal death metal." Recorded by Tom Case at Edie Road Studio and Doomsday Bunker Studio, both in upstate New York, with vocals tracked by Dave Otero (CEPHALIC CARNAGE, PRIMITIVE MAN) at Flatline Audio in Denver, Colorado, and mastered by Brad Boatright (OBITUARY, NAILS, INTEGRITY) at Audiosiege in Portland, Oregon, the effort boasts seven tracks of SKINLESS's signature fusion of punishing, concussively heavy grooves and surgically precise, blasting severity.

"Only The Ruthless Remain" includes artwork by Ken Sarafin.

Comments SKINLESS vocalist Sherwood Webber: "[Illustrator] Ken Sarafin summed it up best when he said that upon listening to the new SKINLESS, his balls exploded and bigger ones grew in their place. That's how we felt when making it!

"'Serpenticide' was the song that got us into the flow of creating this album. This track has the grind, dirge, and vengeful bludgeoning that makes it a slicing cross cut of 'Only The Ruthless Remain'.

"You've heard the live version; here is the final in all its ruthlessness.

"The countdown is on. Much more to come.

"As the old saying goes, it's time to stop the teasin' and start the pleasin', ha!"

Formed in 1992 in Albany, New York, SKINLESS has released four full-length albums and numerous EPs throughout its 20-plus-year career. After disbanding in 2011, the group is now back together with the classic "Progression Towards Evil" lineup (Sherwood Webber on vocals, Noah Carpenter on guitar, Joe Keyser on bass, Bob Beaulac on drums) plus the recent addition of Dave Matthews on second guitar. SKINLESS 2015 is:

VALBORG Streaming New Track “Comtesse"

VALBORG Streaming New Track “Comtesse"

German dark, primitive metal trio, Valborg, who feature within their ranks current and former members of Owl, Klabautamann, Woburn House, Gruenewald and more will unleash their fifth full-length next month via Temple Of Torturous.

Titled Romantik, the follow-up to 2012's Nekrodepression, features six tracks of morose avant blackened beauty. Ambient synthesizers collide with wistful guitars, all slowly and deliberately hovering above a foundation of pounding rhythms, the band's harsh, German vocal inflections adding further terror to their profoundly bleak brand of funeral power doom.

In anticipation of the release, the band has offered up the album’s third movement, “Comtesse”, which is streaming below.

Romantik was produced, recorded and mixed by Oliver Weiskopf at Stonehenge Studios and mastered by Michael Schwabe at Monoposto Mastering. Following four albums based around experimental, skull-crushing doom, with Romantik, Valborg delves deeper into the heart-tearing atmospheres of the abyss of which they've so boldly explored. Fans of Type O Negative, Vangelis, Killing Joke and Celtic Frost/Triptykon pay heed.

Romantik tracklisting:

“Vampyr”
“Blitz Aus Sodom”
“Comtesse”
“Sulphur”
“Kryptische Arroganz”
“The Haunted Womb”

“Comtesse”:

Romantik will be released on CD and digitally on May 19 and on vinyl June 16 via Temple Of Torturous.

THE GREAT DISCORD – Duende Teaser Streaming

THE GREAT DISCORD – Duende Teaser Streaming

Sweden has been a fertile ground for metal of all varieties for multiple decades, and there appears to be no sign that this will change anytime soon. The variety and quality of bands is staggering, and Metal Blade Records is prepared to help add The Great Discord to the list of one of Sweden's finest new groups. The band's cornerstone is with the enigmatic vocals of Fia Kempe. Her tone and delivery is immensely emotive and is augmented by a band whose sound is impossible to describe. It's technical, heavy, and yet not so much to overwhelm those not anointed in metal. What's important is that The Great Discord offer a truly unique twist on both metal, and what is to be expected from a female-fronted band.

The uniqueness The Great Discord encapsulates is put on display today with the release of the first teaser from Duende.  Part 1 entitled "Sanguine" gives a brief glimpse into the enigma that is The Great Discord.  It features a brief sample of new music with eerie yet perfectly entwined visuals.

Duende will be available worldwide via Metal Blade Records on June 2nd in North America, June 1st in the UK / Europe, and May 29th in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Listen to "Eigengrau" now:

The relationship between Kempe and drummer Aksel Holmgren has stood for many years, connecting on a deep personal level when it comes to music, though it was only when they came together to form The Great Discord in 2013 that their collaboration began. Sharing an interest in progressive music, they count the likes of Genesis and King Crimson as well as contemporary acts such as Meshuggah and The Dillinger Escape Plan among those who have inspired them.

While music pundits and critics will fall over themselves trying to label the unique and intriguing sounds contained within Duende the band are more interested in presenting their music to the world, with the hope of making a profound musical connection with the likeminded. Having been working toward the completion of the record for nearly two years the band have perhaps only just arrived at the beginning, and the ambitiousness of their music is further reflected in their goals. "We obviously want to take over the world," Kempe smiles. "We really believe in our vision, we really believe in the concept behind everything that we do. We want to entertain people. We want them to come to our shows and experience everything that we have visualized for this band, and we want them to relate to the emotion that we're putting into our songs, to be able to find something in The Great Discord that they cannot find anywhere else."

Montreal’s NOW AND ON EARTH Debut “Your Number Is Up” Video

Montreal band Now And On Earth has premiered their new video “Your Number Is Up”. The track is taken off their debut album, Blacked Out, released today on Epitaph.

A press release states: “As its title suggests, Blacked Out, is a dark and dangerous affair. Blacked Out is a record that’s riddled with depression and despair and which is set in a world on the verge of collapse. Now and On Earth's signature sound is underpinned by neo-classical instrumentation, making the songs all that more epic and widescreen.”

Now And On Earth is guitarist Mathieu Maltais, lead singer Marc-Andre Fillion, lead guitarist Charles Pilon, bassist/clean vocalist Anthony Alain-Rossi, keyboard/synth player Phillipe Ferguson, and drummer Phil Beauchamp. With this lineup, their destructive, apocalyptic vision of the world has now fully come to life.

Switzerland’s ATROPAS Signs With Wormholedeath; Streaming Track “Crimson Zero”

Switzerland’s Atropas has signed a worldwide deal with Wormholedeath for the release of their massive debut album produced by Jonathan Mazzeo at MathLab Recording Studio.

To celebrate this great event the band has unleashed their first official video for the track "Crimson Zero":

The label states: “atropas came in as a gift from God. They have proven to be one of the hardest working and focused bands that I have ever met during my life. The result of this cooperation with them and MathLab is absolutely unbelievable. This album sounds huge, tuneful, brutal and catchy at the same time but the main point is their rage. The rage that will explode with violence, the drive caused by urgency, the suffering through the melody, the brutality of reality. This is Atropas and will blow you all away."

On a subconscious level we have put our collective experiences into the silver lining of this music. If for once the saying good things come to those who wait was true, this is it: We have done our fans proud. This record will define While She Sleeps.”

Perfectly poised to enable their cult success to power into mainstream consciousness, Brainwashed was recorded by Carl Bown (Trivium), mixed by Colin Richardson (Bullet For My Valentine, As I Lie Dying) and mastered by Grammy Award winner Ted Jensen.

GUTTER INSTINCT Streaming New Track “The Invisible Hand”; EP Pre-Order Launched

The Insurrection can also be pre-ordered on limited-edition 12" vinyl directly from Prosthetic's webshop at this location.

Recorded at Helsingborg's Studio Mangelrum with Kristofer Orstadius, the band drew inspiration from newer bands such as Teitanblood, Bölzer, Grave Miasma, Black Witchery and Portal to expand their distinct grinding tone with dark, haunting blackened smatterings. Further details on the new EP will be released in the coming weeks, including the worldwide premiere of the new track "The Invisble Hand" on April 14th.

Tracklisting:

“War Command”
“Under The Scythe”
“The Invisible Hand”
“We Hate You”

Gutter Instinct was founded in 2012 by Oscar Persson, Hannes Hellman and Thomas Ernemyr in Helsingborg, Sweden, after having played together in various bands over the years. The aim was to unleash a unique combination of grinding death metal – no compromise, no remorse. Starting out, major musical influences included bands like Verminous, Necrovation, Death, Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, Rotten Sound and Napalm Death.

After writing and rehearsing four revolutionary and unholy songs, the band entered Studio Mangelrum to record their first demo tape, Obedience. Oppression, anti-religion and total rejection of the establishment were the leading themes. The demo was self-released by the band in 2013. After some various role changes in the rhythm section, the lineup became Ernemyr (vocals), Persson (guitar), Hellman (guitar), Simon Isakssn (bass) and Ola Håkansson (drums).

NIGHTWISH

NIGHTWISH's FLOOR JANSEN: It's About Time People Stopped Referring To Bands As 'Female Fronted'

Metal Nation Radio host and Metal Wani editor in chief Owais "Vitek" Nabi recently conducted an interview with NIGHTWISH singer Floor Jansen. You can now listen to the chat in the YouTube clip below.

Asked for her opinion about bands like NIGHTWISH being lumped in the "female-fronted symphonic metal" category, Floor said: "Now there is already 'symphonic metal' behind it, so it narrows it down… It says a little more about what the music actually does."

She continued: "There seems to sometimes be an entire genre called 'female-fronted metal.' 'Oh, so you're in a female-fronted metal band?' 'Oh, yeah? Am I?' What on earth does that say? Because then REVAMP [Floor's side project] is a female-fronted metal band, and so is NIGHTWISH. But those bands don't sound alike at all. ARCH ENEMY is a female-fronted metal band, but so is DELAIN. They don't sound alike at all. The only thing they both are are metal bands, but the style within metal is so massively different that it doesn't really say much whether there's a girl singing or not. So it's really not so important. Plus, to emphasize the difference in sex between men and women, I think we've had that time by now."

Jansen added: "It's not so surprising that there are more women in metal bands. And they're not just fronting them. There are drummers and guitar players, bass players… So… I would say, get over it and just call it 'symphonic metal.' It doesn't really [matter] who is singing."

In a fall 2014 interview with CrypticRock.com, vocalist Alissa White-Gluz of Swedish / Canadian / American metallers ARCH ENEMY echoed Jansen's sentiments regarding females in metal. She said: "I agree that it's absurd to call a category of music 'female-fronted metal,' because if you look at OTEP or EPICA or ARCH ENEMY, we don't sound anything alike. Or LACUNA COIL or HUNTRESS or any other band you wanna put in there. It's all different kinds of metal. Just because the gender of the vocalist is the same, that doesn't actually tell you anything about the sound of the band."

She continued: "But, yeah, I think it's a blessing and a curse, in a way, because there are some fans out there that, as soon as they see a female in a band, they're automatically supporting the band and they're happy to do it. And that's cool if that's what they like. I think it's a little weird, because sometimes maybe those bands really aren't as great as another band that has a male singer and won't get as much attention. But that being said, there's also the other side of the coin, which is that there's some people that just won't accept the band if there's a woman in the band. So there's a positive and a negative to being a girl in a boy's club. But I don't even think about it anymore, to be honest. 'Cause I've been doing it quite some time now. Probably when I was first starting out and didn't have as much of an established persona or whatever, I faced a lot more of the novelty-type attitude, like people just, like, 'Hey, you're hot,' or whatever. But now nobody even talks to me. [Laughs]"

NIGHTWISH's new album, "Endless Forms Most Beautiful", was made available on March 27 in Europe and March 31 in the U.S. via Nuclear Blast.

Jansen, who officially joined the band in 2013, made her live debut as the frontwoman of NIGHTWISH on October 1, 2012 at Showbox Sodo in Seattle, Washington.

COREY TAYLOR On SLIPKNOT

COREY TAYLOR On SLIPKNOT's Current Live Show: 'We've Been Blowing Stuff Up'

Maniacs TV conducted an interview with SLIPKNOT frontman Corey Taylor and percussionist Shawn "Clown" Crahan during this year's Soundwave festival in Australia. You can now watch the chat below.

Speaking about SLIPKNOT's current live show, Taylor said: "We put together a pretty good show that we've been touring all over the world right now. And the cool thing is that we've got three different rotating sets that we've been playing. Other than that, we've been blowing stuff up, we've got a giant goathead, and then there's just us, which is crazy enough as it is."

As previously reported, SLIPKNOT guitarist Mickeal "Mick" Thomson was charged with disorderly conduct after an incident last month in which he and his brother were involved in a knife fight with each other and arrested. According to the Des Moines Register, a police investigation concluded that both the 41-year-old Thomson and his 35-year-old brother Andrew were responsible for the March 11 confrontation.

The two brothers were both charged with disorderly conduct by fighting or violent behavior in a public place.

The two siblings have declined to press charges against each other.

SLIPKNOT will launch a spring U.S. trek on April 25 in Fort Myers, Florida, ending on May 16 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

SLIPKNOT is touring behind its new album, ".5: The Gray Chapter", which came out in October 2014 and topped the Billboard album chart six years after the release of its predecessor, "All Hope Is Gone".

SLIPKNOT recently released a live video for the song "Custer", shot at 2014's Knotfest in Devore, California.

SKID ROW Records New Version Of

SKID ROW Records New Version Of '18 And Life' With TONY HARNELL; Free Download Available

SKID ROW has re-recorded its classic song "18 And Life" with the band's new singer, Tony Harnell (pictured; formerly of TNT). The new version of the track can now be streamed and downloaded for free using the ReverbNation widget below.

In a recent interview with Canadian rock journalist Mitch Lafon of the "One On One With Mitch Lafon" podcast, SKID ROW bassist Rachel Bolan stated about the band's split with singer Johnny Solinger after fifteen years: "It was evident [that it was time for us to go our separate ways]. There were certain things going on out on the road that kind of set us thinking… Things had been going on for a little bit."

He continued: "At certain times, you just get the feeling someone isn't putting a hundred percent into things. And SKID ROW is very important to the rest of us. And we wanted to carry on with quality performances and quality songs, so we decided to make a change."

Regarding how Tony Harnell came to be SKID ROW's new singer, Rachel said: "We've known Tony for years — literally, probably since the beginning of our career. And although I wasn't a big TNT fan, I was a Tony Harnell fan, as [were SKID ROW guitarists] Snake [Dave Sabo] and Scott [Scotti Hill]."

He continued: "When we made the decision to ourselves that we were gonna start looking, Tony's name came up. And I was, like, man, it's so funny, 'cause a couple of years ago, I was up in New Jersey for Christmas and I met with Tony in New York and I had dinner with him and another friend. And we just started talking. And he's, like… He goes… We'd known each for a long time, but at that point we hadn't spoken for a while. He's, like, 'I hear you guys are doing good things. How's it going?' I said, 'It's going pretty cool.' He goes, 'Man, you guys should have called me when you got a new singer [back in 1999].' And I guess that kind of popped up in the back of my head when we knew we were gonna make a change. And we immediately got in touch with Tony."

Asked if SKID ROW is working with Harnell on a "trial" basis or if Tony is "the guy" for the long haul, Rachel said: "He's the guy. I mean, that's where we're at in our heads. It's not a temporary thing. But, you know… [laughs] if get gets sick of us and leaves, then that'll be a different situation. But things are going really well now. And we're very excited. We're very excited about our future, very excited about getting on the road."

STUCK MOJO Frontman

STUCK MOJO Frontman's BONZ Releases 'Broken Silence' Lyric Video

BONZ — the new band featuring original STUCK MOJO singer Bonz and former PRIMER 55 guitarist/bassist Curt Taylor — has released a lyric video for the title track off its debut album, "Broken Silence". The track's lyrics include many STUCK MOJO songtitles from Bonz's first tenure in the band which are cleverly crafted into a response to his initial firing from the group, an event that he had never publicly addressed before.

"Broken Silence" was released on February 13 via Eternal Sound Records. The CD features guest appearances by several musicians, including original PRIMER 55 vocalist Jason "J-Sin" Luttrell and guitar virtuoso Mike Martin (ex-STUCK MOJO, FOZZY).

"Broken Silence" track listing:

01. Sinister Grin02. Comes Over Me03. Godshine04. Broken Silence05. 30 Seconds to Swat06. Take it Personal07. Sour Diesel08. Voids09. Bad News10. Bad Love

The reunited STUCK MOJO is working on material for its comeback album — the band's first to feature the lineup of Rich "The Duke" Ward on guitar, Bonz on vocals, Corey Lowery on bass and Frank Fontsere on drums since 1998's "Rising".

Bonz was dismissed from STUCK MOJO in July 2006 over the frontman's alleged substance-abuse issues which, according to a statement from Ward at the time, "affect[ed] [Bonz's live] performance," in the process "transform[ing] a guy we loved into someone that no one in the band wanted to be around." Ward added: "To gamble the band's future on someone who is the source of such instability is not an option anymore." Bonz was eventually replaced by Lord Nelson.

STUCK MOJO in 2010 parted ways with Austria's Napalm Records, the label that released the band's last two albums, 2007's "Southern Born Killers" (originally made available in 2005 as a free download) and 2008's "The Great Revival".

STUCK MOJO's 2010 "Here Comes The Monster" tour of Europe featured Lord Nelson on the mic, Ward on guitar, Sean Delson on bass and Fontsere on drums.

NIGHTWISH

NIGHTWISH's TUOMAS HOLOPAINEN: 'Working With FLOOR JANSEN Was One Of Easiest Things Ever'

U.K.'s Metal Hammer magazine recently spoke to NIGHTWISH keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen and lead singer Floor Jansen about the creation of the band's new album "Endless Forms Most Beautiful". You can watch the chat below.

"Working with Floor was, basically, one of the easiest things ever," Tuomas said. "First of all, as a vocalist, she's as versatile as it gets, but even more important than that, the motivation and the devotion was something I've rarely seen anybody having."

He continued: "I think she knew all the songs by heart, including the lyrics even, before we entered the rehearsal studio. She really had done her homework."

Added Floor: "This was the first time, actually, recording an album from scratch, working on songs that had not been sung by anybody else.

"I was really excited to get the demos, sent home with the music or the main ideas for the songs, vocal melodies, lyrics. There I started my puzzle…. Then we went to rehearse the songs, with the whole band, and we took really our time for this, which was a fantastic way for me to really get into the songs and know exactly how to sing them before going into the recordings, which made the actual recording period very smooth."

"Endless Forms Most Beautiful" was made available on March 27 in Europe and March 31 in the U.S. via Nuclear Blast.

The "Élan" four-track single, which arrived on February 13, features the album version of the title cut, a radio edit and an alternate version of "Élan", as well as the non-album bonus track "Sagan".

The cover artwork for "Endless Forms Most Beautiful" was created by the band's longtime collaborator Toxic Angel. Famed evolutionary biologist and atheist writer/leader Richard Dawkins appears as a guest on the effort.

Longtime NIGHTWISH drummer Jukka Nevalainen sat out the recording sessions for "Endless Forms Most Beautiful" due to health issues. He has since been replaced by Kai Hahto (WINTERSUN, SWALLOW THE SUN, TREES OF ETERNITY).

Ex-GUNS N

Ex-GUNS N' ROSES Manager VICKY HAMILTON Believes She Can Help End Feud Between AXL ROSE And SLASH

Vicky Hamilton, who is best known for managing the early careers of GUNS N' ROSES and POISON, in addition to serving as a management consultant for MÖTLEY CRÜE, recently launched a crowdfunding campaign for the release of her memoir, titled "Appetite For Dysfunction".

"I decided to write the book because I'm going to be 57 and the memories start to fade and I just want to get it down and document it," she tells U.K.'s Daily Mail.

"I absolutely helped [GUNS N' ROSES] find their way.

"Who knows if they'd even have all lived while they were living in that rehearsal hall having bonfires and doing God knows what?! There was no one looking after them, which is just scary."

Hamilton, whose relationship with GUNS N' ROSES came to an end after they signed a major-label deal with Geffen, tells Daily Mail that she thinks she could help squash the long-running feud between GUNS N' ROSES lead singer Axl Rose and guitarist Slash, paving the way for a reunion of GUNS N' ROSES' classic lineup.

"We shared so much history it would be nice to be able talk to [Axl] and give him a hug and say it's all good," she said.

"I sometimes think that if I had Axl and Slash in a room together that I could fix it. There's a difference in how you deal with people when you grow up together with them.

"They know I love them for who they are. I loved them when they were nobody.

"I didn't have an ulterior motive other than to help them be as good as they can be and I think I was successful in that.

"I saved them from making major mistakes."

In the book "Watch You Bleed: The Saga Of Guns N' Roses" by Stephen Davis, Vicky stated about what it was like dealing with Axl Rose during the band's early days: "He was so damaged. Today you'd call it bibolar. He was either childlike, or a dog from hell. I loved him dearly, but I also felt sorry for him because he could not trust anyone and already had big issues with paranoia and control."

She added in a separate interview with Rolling Stone: "[Axl] has this very likable little-boy personality, and then he has the demon-dog-from-hell personality. The color of his eyes actually changes when he goes into this different person."

After helping GUNS N' ROSES land the deal with Geffen, Hamilton had a falling out with the group "because I had borrowed $25,000 for the band from Howie Hubberman [a vintage guitar expert who formerly owned Guitars R Us, a highly revered guitar store located on the Sunset Strip], and that was not included [in the deal with Geffen]," she told the Metal Sludge web site. "Howie was looking at me to get paid back, and every month the guys in the band would say, 'Yeah, we'll handle it.' But they never did, and I was not going to be left holding the bag for $25,000, so I eventually had to sue them. It was kind of ballsy, but I had to do it."

She continued: "The statute of limitation was running out, so I hired a litigator who served [then-GUNS N' ROSES guitarist] Slash in front of the Cathouse one night. I actually wound up getting $35,000, which was $25,000 for Howie Hubberman, $5,000 for the lawyer and $5,000 for me to get a new apartment because that was never included before."

Original GUNS N' ROSES drummer Steven Adler later said: "Vicky Hamilton — awesome woman! I wanted her to be part of it after we signed — because she got us signed. What happened was not my idea, and I did not have enough say-so in it [to do anything about it]."

Added Slash: "We lived at her house, and she busted her ass twenty-four hours a day. She couldn't pay her rent because she spent all the money she could get her hands on trying to get us off the ground. She was the only person that — way back when we were doing our first gigs — she'd say, 'You guys are great, you're gonna make it. ' I've gotta tip my hat to her."
