Michigan's unstoppable sons of molten melodic death metal THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER will release their brand new DVD on May 27. "Fool 'Em All" is the band's second DVD and follows up their immensely popular "Majesty". Once again, director Robbie Tassaro captured the band on tour for another installment of absurdity and hilarity! This time around, put on your 3D glasses (included in the package!) to experience the band in stereoscopic 3D in select scenes throughout the DVD.

THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER's previous DVD, "Majesty", reached No. 2 on the Billboard Top Music Videos chart and No. 5 in Canada. The DVD would later be certified gold in Canada.

THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER just wrapped up the Decibel Magazine Tour with CARCASS, GORGUTS and NOISEM. In June, the band will return to Europe for club shows and festival appearances, including Hellfest, Download and Graspop.

THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER's sixth full-length album, "Everblack", sold 13,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 32 on The Billboard 200 chart. Released on June 11 via Metal Blade Records, the CD was recorded at Audiohammer Studios (lead guitars and vocals), Rustbelt Studios (drums), and Regal Fecal (guitar and bass). Mixing was handled by Jason Suecof and Ryan Williams, mastering was completed by Alan Douches at West West Side Music (SEPULTURA, SUFFOCATION, UNEARTH) in New Windsor, New York. Frontman Trevor Strnad's horror-inspired lyrics persist on "Everblack", beginning with "In Hell Is Where She Waits For Me", a reference to the murder from which the band took for its moniker. The cover artwork was painted by renowned artist Nick Keller.

The "Goat Of Departure" clip, directed by Ben Mayer, was filmed in the band's hometown of Detroit. In typical THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER fashion, the video is over-the-top and even features the return of a classic THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER character, and a real, live goat.

Japanese metallers LOUDNESS will release their new studio album, "The Sun Will Rise Again", on June 4.

LOUDNESS released its 25th studio album, "2012", in August 2012 via Tokuma Communications.

The band in 2012 inked a deal with FrostByte Media for the release of the "Eve To Dawn" outside Japan. The CD was originally made available in the group's home country in September 2011.

LOUDNESS released a CD+DVD set entitled "Live Loudest At The Budokan '91" on December 23, 2009 via Warner Music Japan. The album was recorded on May 31, 1991 in Tokyo, Japan and features Mike Vescera (OBSESSION, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN) on vocals.

In a 2012 interview with Examiner.com, LOUDNESS singer Minoru Niihara stated about the band's songwriting process: "First we have basic concepts and ideas for songs in Japanese and translate them into English. After that, we work with English-speaking songwriters. Then the songwriters will read lyrics and record them for us for pronunciation and intonation. We listen to them over and over to master them. It takes time to master them all, but in the studio I sing them so many times, recording, that I can sing them by heart by the time the recording is done. Memorizing songs for live performances is the same both in English and Japanese."

He added: "The hardest thing is pronunciation. My English has a heavy accent and not that great, but that is sort of my signature, I think. To make it easier, I just have to practice. Performing on the stage over the years has given me poise and self-confidence."

Asked about LOUDNESS' current drummer Masayuki Suzuki, who replaced the late Munetaka Higuchi in 2008, Niihara said: "His nickname is Ampan. Akira [Takasaki, guitar] jammed with Ampan in Sapporo and felt that he is 'our guy' and brought him to Tokyo to do an audition. [Bassist] Masayoshi [Yamashita] and I had never heard of him or seen him perform before he came to Tokyo with Akira. I loved his powerful playing style once I saw him in the audition and also loved the fact that it was very different from Munetaka's. Because Munetaka was such a great drummer, I understand that Ampan is constantly under pressure from being compared to him, but I believe he's the best at what he does and is a wonderful drummer."

He added: "Before he joined LOUDNESS, [Ampan] was working as a music producer and has written lots of songs in many different styles. He’s already written various songs from thrash metal to beautiful ballads for the band. Also, as a drummer he's brought the band a new groove. After Munetaka's passing, his playing has breathed new life into LOUDNESS. His twin bass drums have such a destructive power. We are extremely lucky to have found him."

STEEL PANTHER is the '80s metal/hard rock tribute band formerly known as METAL SKOOL. Onstage, the band both pays tribute to and lampoons the heyday of '80s glam metal. The group's between-song comedy includes jests at conflict between bandmembers, discussions of drugs, sex, and improvised humor with the crowd.

Regarding naysayers that say STEEL PANTHER is a joke-metal band, the group's drummer Stix Zadinia told the South Bend Tribune: "Listen to our record and tell us that our songs aren't better than most of the bands out there. How funny is that? At the end of the day, it comes down to the songs. I think our songs — without sounding egotistical — I think our songs are great. When you hear the hooks in our songs, you hear the playing and you hear the vocals, you throw that up against any band in any era, and I think it stands up."

STEEL PANTHER's third album, "All You Can Eat", sold around 13,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 24 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD arrived in stores on April 1 via Open E/KLS.

Regarding the new CD title, singer Michael Starr said: "We feel like STEEL PANTHER is like a buffet. You know what I mean?! There's a little bit of everything for everybody. And you can have as much of us as you want."

"Made Of Godsick", the new video from Swedish death metallers SKINEATER, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's debut album, "Dermal Harvest", which was released in North America on Febuary 19, 2013 (January 28 in Europe) via Pulverised Records.

ACCURSED SPAWN have released 'Burned Into Sterility', the first single from the death metal outfit's upcoming Putrid EP, along with the album artwork.

Vocalist Luke Wargasm commented on forthcoming EP: “This is a recording that I think we can all really be proud of as a band. BUFFALO THEORY MTL will be releasing new material in the form of a “Triple Single” that they are calling Murder Trilogy.

Coming from a bilingual city such as Montreal, the band felt it was a good idea to record an English (called ‘Disciple’) and a French (‘Obsédé’) version of the song. Since, the band’s singer is from Brazil, they also decided to record a Portuguese (‘Justiceiro’) version as well.

The songs are connected lyrically as well through the theme of murder, each having their own twist on the story and each completing the other.
The song ‘Disciple’ features special guest and theit long-time partner in crime, singer Patrick Mireault from the band GHOULUNATICS.

The French track has our guitar player Yannick Pilon singing lead vocals and our singer Anton Parr backing him up. They will be switching it up for the live shows as well. Stay tuned for some show announcements real soon.

HELLION guitarist MAXXXWELL CARLISLE has released the first single from his upcoming solo album, Visions Of Speed And Thunder.
The new song, which is the title track of the album, features a guest appearance by LORDS OF THE TRIDENT vocalist, Fang VonWrathenstein.

Mother Road is the brainchild of Austin, TX-based rock singer Keith Slack and Berlin-based guitarist Chris Lyne. Named after The Mother Road, another name for the US’ legendary, historic Route 66 highway, this international hard blues rock band is impressively transferring the vintage sounds and the trademarks of this genre into the new decade. Founded in 2011 and based on mutual musical influences, Slack and Lyne promptly felt the chemistry between them was right and the song-writing process soon accelerated. In the meantime, the line-up was completed with drummer Carsten Klick and bassist Frank Binke.
Guitarist Chris Lyne is well known for his astonishing work with his previous group SOUL DOCTOR. His main influences include some of the greatest British guitar players such as Gary Moore, Jimmy Page, Paul Kossoff and John Sykes. US singer Keith Slack acted as frontman of the bands STEELHOUSE LANE and Michael Schenker Group (MSG), and also his own blues-influenced hard rock band MUDPIE. Slack’s influences include a whole variety of styles and music from bands including PAUL RODGERS, LED ZEPPELIN, THE BLACK CROWES, KING’S X and THE CULT.

Italian metal band KLOGR has revealed their brand new single, ‘Zero Tolerance’, which takes inspiration from the dolphin slaughter taking place every year in the bay of Taiji, Japan. The track creates awareness about the killing and captivity of these animals caused by men for unnecessary reasons.

The track orates, "Greedy man you're looking for new wealth, what are you gonna do when everything is wasted?"
Klogr takes environmental awareness very seriously. All funds earned from the first 500 'Zero Tolerance' track downloads via iTunes will be distributed to non-profit marine wildlife conservation organization Sea Shepherd to fight against dolphin slaughter in Taiji.

A music video for 'Zero Tolerance' will soon be released (directed by Davide Cilloni of Eklipse Design) featuring images from a Sea Shepherd documentary.

'Zero Tolerance' appears on Klogr's powerful upcoming full-length album Black Snow hitting stores on April 29th via Zeta Factory for physical and Believe for digital. Recorded between Zeta Factory and Green River studios, the album was produced by KlogR frontman and mastermind Rusty and Tancredi Barbuscia. Black Snow will be released in a special digital edition including the band's 2011's Till You Turn EP and Ground Zero 11-11-11 Live.

An immense anathema against the destructive acts operated by human kind, Black Snow delivers colossal tunes supported by flawless production. The album is a powerful work of raw rage— reaching towering and aggressive points while leaving room for beautiful, charismatic melodies and hypnotic atmospheres. The lyrics on Black Snow are about a broken world where a prompt reaction is mandatory and there's no room for hesitation, faking or excuses.

Debemur Mort Productions will release Kaarna, an exceptional and exhaustive collection of acoustic compositions recorded by OCTOBER FALLS.
The mastermind, Mikko Lehto, introduces this special project: "As the years have passed by and the earlier releases are slowly getting harder to find, instead of making multiple re-releases I decided to gather them as Kaarna, a compilation of all original acoustic pieces recorded between 2002 and 2010, including everything that was released either on cd or vinyl versions. All the sessions are uncut for this release, so individual releases are now gathered within single tracks instead of splitting them into parts, a mistake I made in original versions. There are small alterations and adjustments, but nothing was remixed. Hopefully this will be something new for those of you who only know the later, harsher October Falls material."

Part two of a documentary web series focusing on Swedish occult rockers GHOST can be seen below (courtesy of Vice's Noisey.com). Director Greg Olliver, who co-directed and produced 2010's "Lemmy" film and the psychological thriller/horror film "Devoured", directed the video for GHOST.

Filming for the series and planned feature-length documentary began on last year's summer festival circuit and continued through the end of 2013.

The first episode features live performance, interviews and behind-the-scenes footage from GHOST's tour in Sweden, Germany and Belgium.

The project is being produced through Olliver's New York City-based production company Secret Weapon Films.

"Greg has the perfect mix of story-telling acumen, musical taste and a fondness for the macabre... it made him the ideal choice to tell the story of GHOST," said Adam Farrell, creative director of the band's label, Loma Vista.

"You can't point a camera at GHOST without every frame of footage looking like heavy-metal gold," said Olliver.

"I was thrilled to hear that they wanted to work with me.

"Making films with legends like Lemmy and Johnny Winter, who have well-known stories, is one thing, but to work with a band that's on a fast rise to fame and has a mysterious story which is currently unraveling requires an entirely different approach. Add in the anonymity of the group and the look that they have... and you suddenly have a whole lot to chew on as a director. The only downside is that I felt a bit silly on stage filming while NOT wearing a robe and black mask."

GHOST's sophomore album, "Infestissumam", sold around 14,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 28 on The Billboard 200 chart.

The CD topped the official chart in the group's home country after selling nearly five times as many copies as the No. 2 album, MISS LI's "Wolves".

John Bonham, John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant came together in 1968 as LED ZEPPELIN. Over the next decade, the band would become one of the most influential, innovative and successful groups in modern music, selling more than 300 million albums worldwide. Their songs are some of the most celebrated in rock 'n' roll history that, to this day, resonate with fans young and old around the globe. The LED ZEPPELIN legend began in January of 1969 with the group's eponymous debut. From the opening salvo of "Good Times Bad Times", on through to "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You", "Communication Breakdown" and "Dazed And Confused", the album introduced the band's unmistakable sound and left an indelible mark on the music landscape. "Led Zeppelin" has been certified diamond by the RIAA for sales over 10 million and was inducted into the Grammy Hall Of Fame in 2004.

The companion audio for "Led Zeppelin" features a previously unreleased performance recorded on October 10, 1969 at the Olympia Theatre in Paris. The nine-song set features seven tracks from the album, including an epic 15-minute version of "Dazed And Confused", as well as "Heartbreaker" and "Moby Dick", which would debut on "Led Zeppelin II" later that month.

The band wrote and recorded nearly all of "Led Zeppelin II" while touring relentlessly to support its debut album. Incredibly, the album was released just seven months after "Led Zeppelin" in October of 1969. "Led Zeppelin II" features some of the band's most beloved tracks including "Ramble On" and "Heartbreaker" as well as "Whole Lotta Love", considered by many to be one of the greatest rock 'n' roll songs of all time. The album is certified diamond by the RIAA with sales of over 12 million copies.

The "Led Zeppelin II" companion audio gives fans the first peek into the band's recording sessions, with alternate mixes of five songs from the album, backing tracks to "Thank You" and "Living Loving Maid (She's Just A Woman)", and the previously unreleased track "La La".

Following the whirlwind success of their first two albums and near constant touring, Page and Plant took to the now famous Bron-Yr-Aur cottage in Wales in 1970 to start the early composition of "Led Zeppelin III". They later convened with Bonham and Jones for rehearsals before entering London's Olympic Studios to begin recording in May 1970. Fueled by classic tracks such as "Immigrant Song" and "Since I've Been Loving You", the album soared to the top of charts worldwide upon its release in October of 1970 and has since been certified six times platinum.

The nine tracks featured on "Led Zeppelin III"'s companion audio continue to offer a window into the band's recording process with seven studio outtakes of songs from the album as well as three previously unheard compositions: "Jennings Farm Blues" (an instrumental forerunner of "Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp"), "Bathroom Sound" (an instrumental version of "Out On The Tiles"), and their take on the blues classics "Keys To The Highway/Trouble In Mind".

LED ZEPPELIN continues to be honored for its pivotal role in music history. The band was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 1995, received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005, and a year later was awarded with the Polar Music Prize in Stockholm. Founding members Jones, Page and Plant — along with Jason Bonham, the son of John Bonham — took the stage at London's O2 Arena in 2007 to headline a tribute concert for Ahmet Ertegun, a dear friend and Atlantic Records' founder. The band was honored for its lifetime contribution to American culture at the Kennedy Center Honors in 2012. In January of 2014, the band won their first ever Grammy Award as "Celebration Day", which captured their live performance at the Ertegun tribute concert, was named "Best Rock Album."

Page told The Pulse Of Radio that after all the success LED ZEPPELIN had, the real reward has been that the music has lasted so long. "The most satisfying, the most rewarding part of it, is having been part of music like that, which has stood up to the test of time," he said. "Every musician hopes that their music will hold up. And it's wonderful."

Page, who produced all of LED ZEPPELIN's live and studio albums, has served as the band's chief archivist and personally oversaw the remastering of the band's catalog back in the early '90s.

Finnish metallers DAMNATION PLAN have released a lyric video of the title track of The Wakening to celebrate the first anniversary of the release of the album from March 12, 2013 via Coroner Records.

"There was a lot of effort put to the lyrics of the album, and these days when not many gets the physical album anymore and reads the lyrics from the booklet, we decided to put them up front in form of a music video.

About the lyrics of the song and the album...A lot of it deals with that people in general don't seem to care what happens in the world until it's their own life on the line and when the shit has already hit the fan. The whole current economic system is based on growth, everybody wants more, yet the population growth keeps on increasing, putting an exponentially growing debt on resources which are already on minus. No one reacts to the big picture. The scenario is that people while get their final wakening the moment when it's already too late, and it is inevitable with the current phase. One of the problems is that politicians don't think long term. What only matters is do they get elected for their next season. Despite all the information and evidence available to everybody we seem to allow history to repeat itself and we learn nothing."

Taking longing and death as its theme, Längtan explores the idea that death is not an ending, but the beginning of a life free from all the strictures imposed on us by society, and that death should be something to be longed for, rather than feared. Vanhelga was formed in Linköping, Sweden in 2001 by J. Ottosson, aka 145188 (ex-LIFELOVER (live session musician), ex-SKOGSTRON), who, unable to create the kind of music he really wanted to, found a group of like-minded musicians and together they set about bringing their vision to life. Aside from Ottosson on Bass, Guitars and Vocals, Vanhelga's lineup consists of J. Gabrielson (ESKAPI, ex-Lifelover) on Vocals, J. Ejnarsson (TAKETH) and Wadström (ex-Skogstron) on guitars and D. Franzén on drums.

Whilst it would be easy to classify Vanhelga as a black metal band, in reality that would be too restrictive a definition. It's true that lyrically the band explores the darker side of humanity, a subject much loved by the genre, indeed, the band's name itself means "Profane", but within Vanhelga's cold and sinister music can be found distinctive melodies and melancholic moments that lull you into a false sense of security and drag you into a dark reality.

Spanish black metallers WRONG have released a video for the track 'Pessimistic Outcomes'. The band recently inked an agreement with Xtreem Music for the imminent release of their second album, Pessimistic Outcomes, which will include five tracks with a total length of 47 minutes, and will be released on April 22nd.

This duet, formed by Phlegeton (WORMED, BANISHED FROM INFERNO) and DP Rey (THE YTRIPLE CORPORATION, NEVERDIE), started as a project in November 2012 and in February 2013 released their debut album, Memories Of Sorrow, through the Scottish label, Aphelion Productions.
Pessimistic Outcomes was entirely produced by the band themselves at their own Delta314 Sound Studio and means a logical progression to the atmospheric and oppressive musical style adopted in their previous album Memories Of Sorrow but this time, going one step further, with more mature and progressive compositions, highlighting its powerful and defined production.

Wrong displays a very particular vision of black metal, performed with conviction and skills, near the Swedish SHINING, full of desperate and mysterious passages, disturbing pianos, similar to LIFELOVER or LUNAR AURORA sharp guitars that reveal hypnotic melodies and dark dissonances in the style of BLUT AUS NORD, combined with raw mid-paced passages that reminds to KHOLD but somewhat more dynamic, incorporating powerful galloping rhythms similar to CRAFT, and of course without giving up traditional quick bursts like TAAKE or early SATYRICON. All this accompanied by a very different and heartbreaking voice that we aren’t used to hearing from PHLEGATON, much more sharp and agonizing, telling awful stories of a decadent humanity, without resources in a world consumed by the ashes, where there's only misery and despair, transporting us into unfathomable depths of doom and darkest hell.

Argonauta Records has announced the signing of noisecore/metal masters INFECTION CODE.
Formed in 1999, the band has shared the stage with CULT OF LUNA, THE OCEAN, UFOMAMMUT, ZENI GEVA and has recorded with Billy Anderson (MELVINS, EYEHATEGOD) and Eraldo Bernocchi (musician and producer).

In 2014, Infection Code are ready for their comeback, a telluric and experimental work able to join the more destructive sounds of the extreme musical scene, with influences from TODAY IS THE DAY, NEUROSIS and GODFLESH.

Their fifth studio album, titled La Dittatura del Rumore (Dictatorship Of The Noise) is a psychedelic/noise journey into the most obscure Italian era of domestic terrorism during the70's. Recorded and produced by Mattia Cominotto at the Greenfog Studios (Genova), La Dittatura del Rumore is probably their most ambitious album yet.

Infection Code shared their visions with the talented artist Marco Castagnetto, who realized an exclusive and stunning cover artwork for the band, an authentic gem of symbolism which will be part of the Argonauta Records CD packaging, limited to 300 copies, available in June.

As part of this year's Record Store Day on April 19, San Francisco Bay Area metallers MACHINE HEAD will release a 10-inch vinyl single, with the A-side containing the "demo" version of a new song, "Killers & Kings". The B-side will be a cover version of the track "Our Darkest Days" from one of MACHINE HEAD's favorite bands, IGNITE.

Says MACHINE HEAD guitarist/vocalist Robb Flynn: "I remember growing up in the thrash scene and always wanting to hear the demo version of songs. You searched them out. Thankfully, my buddy Jim was a big 'tape trader,' and through trading, we had both METALLICA demos, EXODUS demos, bootlegs of songs sometimes 'years' before they came out.

"I knew how to play every note of 'Pleasure Of The Flesh' by EXODUS easily two years before the record was out. I had SLAYER's 'Reign In Blood' three months before it came out. I remember it still had the hi-hat counts starting the songs!!

"My friends and I would debate the merits of each (the demo was always better, LOL!).

"It's so much cooler to hear it BEFORE the album is out!

"So we're gonna do that for you.

"I can't wait for you guys to hear this stuff. Then you can debate it, haha!"

This limited-edition 10-inch single will feature four alternate covers with two specific colors, each limited to 1,000 copies each.

MACHINE HEAD entered GREEN DAY's Oakland, California's JingleTown Recording compound on February 9 to begin recording its new album for a late 2014 release via Nuclear Blast Entertainment.

Other songtitles set to appear on the new MACHINE HEAD album include "Beneath The Silt", "Eyes Of The Dead" (formerly "Ojos De La Muerte"), "Sail Into The Black", "How We Die" and "Night Of The Long Knives".

Speaking to U.K.'s Metal Hammer magazine, MACHINE HEAD frontman Robb Flynn stated about the band's new material: "It sounds like MACHINE HEAD! It's definitely moving forward, which I feel like we're probably always gonna do.

"We're not a band that ever looks back. We do our thing and try to take the life experiences that we have and the musicianship that we've evolved and try to use it. Obviously, we have our sound and we have the MACHINE HEAD patented harmonics, the downtuned riffs and I sing the way I sing.

"I think Bob Dylan said it best: 'You just find new ways to say the same thing.'"

Speaking about some of the specific tracks and the lyrical themes covered on the new album, Flynn said: "I've got some pretty cool lyrics ready. There's a song called 'Night Of The Long Knives', and it's pretty fucked! It's about the Manson murders, and the lyrics are really dark and vicious.

"We've found some new twists to give to the MACHINE HEAD sound and some new fire and excitement."

Asked what the band's main aims were when they started composing music for the new CD, Flynn said: "Well, it's nice to try and have a plan, but music has a way of unravelling over time! [Laughs] You've just got to roll with it.

"With [2007's] 'The Blackening', I'd love to say I had this grand vision of nine- and 10-minute songs, but the first four songs we wrote were the four shorter songs on the record. For months, there was no indication whatsoever that we'd have 10-minute songs. That stuff came later.

"Human nature wants to control and dictate where things will go, but you can't. It won't let you! The more you try, the more it goes, 'Fuck you.' It's going some other way!"
