Toledo, Spain-based death metallers DULCAMARA have revealed the cover artwork and tracklisting for their new album, El Antagonista. The artwork was designed by Héctor Gómez, aka “Kraken”.

El Antagonista was recorded, mixed and mastered between September and December of 2013 in Mágica Estudios with sound engineer Pepe Herrero. Spanish release date is set for March 10th and April 14th for Europe and the rest of the world.

British metal band IRON KNIGHTS return with a brand new album: new lineup, new sound, new direction. The band's new self-titled album will be released in the UK on Monday, May 5th.

The Bay Area alchemists behind the progressive black/death/trad metal of CORMORANT have completed work on "Earth Diver", the follow-up to 2011's critically acclaimed "Dwellings", and are finally ready to share a few more details about the LP. The new full-length is slated for an April 2014 release, and features mind-boggling cover art from accomplished artist Sam Ford of Wizard Rifle (whose creations can be seen gracing works by BLACK COBRA, WITCH MOUNTAIN, OCCULTATION, ATRIARCH).

The CORMORANT members collectively state, "We're excited to reveal Sam Ford's awesome artwork for 'Earth Diver'… It has been several months in the making and worth every second!

The band's third LP will continue to explore the black metal and doom influences found on "Dwellings" and will also mark the first appearance of new bassist/vocalist Marcus Luscombe (VENGINCE, ex-CLOAKWHEEL). Recording, mixing and mastering were once again be handled by Justin Weis (AGALLOCH, SLOUGH FEG, HAMMERS OF MISFORTUNE) and the band will once more release the record on their own terms. "Dwellings" was cited by National Public Radio as "far and away the best metal record of 2011." The record crashed album-of-the-year lists from the likes of Yahoo! Hamilton, ON-based rockers REDLIGHT KING have released their official lyric video for the single, 'Times Are Hard'. The video is frontman Kaz's point of view as he scribes the lyrics of the song. The single is off of Redlight King's sophomore album, Irons In The Fire, available now.

New York's EVERY TIME I DIE is currently recording new material at GodCity Studio in Salem, Massachusetts with producer Kurt Ballou of CONVERGE.

Keith Buckley, EVERY TIME I DIE lyricist and vocalist, states: "Kurt Ballou had always intimidated the living shit out of me, so I was overjoyed when the decision was made to record our next record with him at GodCity, and I mean that sincerely. I've been a fan of his work for over a decade. His records are terrifying and moving and they sound like they were written and recorded under great duress, which is exactly how this style of music should be made. This month we join the pantheon. I couldn't be more excited to see what he helps us learn about our own band that we didn't realize for the past 15 years."

Immediately following the recording process, EVERY TIME I DIE hits the road for the entirety of Vans Warped Tour 2014.

EVERY TIME I DIE's latest album, "Ex Lives", sold around 14,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 25 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD was helmed by renowned heavy rock producer Joe Barresi (THE MELVINS, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, PARKWAY DRIVE). Canada's PROTEST THE HERO have released a new video, for the track 'Tilting At Windmills'. This is the fourth video released from the band's Volition album. The video was filmed throughout the band’s most recent North American, UK and European tours.

GLAMOUR OF THE KILL hit the road with MOTIONLESS IN WHITE and THE DEFILED in the U.K. last September before heading back out the Europe with PAPA ROACH in November.

GLAMOUR OF THE KILL has been generating buzz ever since its debut EP, "Through The Dark They March", came out in 2007. The success of the EP led to tours with BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, DRAGONFORCE, AVENGED SEVENFOLD and most notably a performance on the main stage of Download festival in 2008.

GLAMOUR OF THE KILL is: Davey Richmond (lead vocals, bass), Chris Gomerson (guitar, backing vocals), Mike Kingswood (lead guitar, backing vocals) and Ben Thomson (drums, backing vocals).

A 15-minute teaser for the self-titled debut album from CONQUERING DYSTOPIA, the new project featuring former NEVERMORE guitarist Jeff Loomis and Portland, Oregon studio musician Keith Merrow, can be found below. The CD was mixed at Audiohammer Studios in Sanford, Florida with Mark Lewis (ARSIS, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, WHITECHAPEL, DEVILDRIVER, DEICIDE, SIX FEET UNDER).

The recording lineup for "Conquering Dystopia" is completed by Alex Webster (CANNIBAL CORPSE) on bass and Alex Rudinger (THE FACELESS) on drums.

Says CONQUERING DYSTOPIA: "We feel that we have a very cool and unique band lineup, which will make for a memorable album for the listener."

Loomis previously contributed a guest guitar solo to Keith's second full-length instrumental album, "Awaken The Stone King", which came out in January 2011.

According to his official bio, Merrow's extreme style of guitar playing is a unique blend of traditional metal with a dash of obscurity. In May 2009, he released a self-produced EP titled "Lonestar Transcend". The six-song instrumental effort was a compilation of songs that were first heard on Merrow's YouTube page, where he posted play-through videos of the songs. Just six months later, in November 2009 came "The Arrival", which marked Merrow's first album that he wrote from start to finish.

Loomis and drummer Van Williams announced their departure from NEVERMORE in April 2011 due to personal differences with singer Warrel Dane and bassist Jim Sheppard. Their replacements have not yet been announced.

EMMURE will headline the Mosh Lives! Tour with support from VOLUMES, THY ART IS MURDER, GIDEON and SWORN IN. The trek kicks off on March 7.

EMMURE closed out 2013 by headlining the Never Say Die! tour in Europe (October 4-26) and then a full U.S. tour (October 29 - November 22) alongside ASKING ALEXANDRIA, SEVENDUST, ALL THAT REMAINS and FOR TODAY.

EMMURE's fifth full-length album, "Slave To The Game", was released in April 2012 via Victory Records. The CD was recorded with producer Joey Sturgis (ASKING ALEXANDRIA, THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA), who previously worked with the band on 2011's "Speaker Of The Dead".

"Slave To The Game" marked the recording debut of EMMURE's new drummer, Mark Costillo, who has previously played with BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME and BURY YOUR DEAD.

California thrashers HIRAX will release their new album, "Immortal Legacy", on March 4 (February 24 in Europe) via SPV/Steamhammer. It will be made available as a CD, gatefold colored LP and a digital download.

"On our new album we more than ever felt an artistic obligation to our fans to give them a really big-sounding record," says HIRAX singer Katon W. De Pena.

"Our philosophy has always been to remember where we come from and stay true to our roots.

"Our fans know that we will never let them down and that they have helped to raise us up to a level with bands such as SLAYER, SODOM, KREATOR, EXODUS, OVERKILL, TESTAMENT, ANNIHILATOR and many others.

"This record proves that we are at the top of our game musically." According to Katon W. De Pena, the reason "Immortal Legacy" sounds so powerful is the fact that the members of HIRAX's current lineup agree 100 percent on the group's stylistic direction.

"Lance [Harrison, guitar] is a riff-writing master and a major force to reckon with," says Katon. "Nicknamed the Shred Baron for obvious reasons. He believes in heavy metal 100 percent." His younger brother Steve (bass) is an important part of the HIRAX sound. "Nobody plays bass like him," says Katon. "There is a unique sound and bond between Steve and his brother. As a bass player, he is a true musician."

Last but not least, there's Jorge Iacobellis (drums and percussions), who was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Iacobellis is a seasoned veteran who plays with lots of heart and soul. Katon says: "The best way I can describe his drumming style is loud and powerful." The most unusual song on "Immortal Legacy" is "The World Will Burn" which has to be heard to be believed, according to Katon. His favorite track on the record changes daily, "but if I had to decide today, it would be 'Black Smoke', along with the title track, 'Immortal Legacy'. Once you hear them, you will never forget them."

"Immortal Legacy" was produced by Bill Metoyer (SLAYER, ARMORED SAINT, W.A.S.P., SACRED REICH) who previously worked with HIRAX in the early 1980s on their first two albums. Metoyer is a master of his craft and HIRAX feel honored and lucky to have him working with them. For Katon, Bill is a "musical wizard and his work on our new album is genius." The cover of "Immortal Legacy" was created by legendary artist Philip Lawvere (KREATOR, CELTIC FROST), marking his first oil painting in 25 years since coming out of retirement. He is the artist behind such classic album covers as KREATOR's "Pleasure To Kill" and CELTIC FROST's "Emperor's Return". Lawvere had done stunning illustrations for numerous albums and is best known for a slew of thrash metal offerings released on Noise Records. The HIRAX frontman comments: "We couldn't be happier to have Philip Lawvere illustrating the cover of our new album. After getting Bill Metoyer to produce it, this is truly the icing on the thrash metal cake!" With guest guitar players Jim Durkin (DARK ANGEL), Juan Garcia (AGENT STEEL, EVILDEAD) and Rocky George (SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, FISHBONE) on the album, Katon is excited about a real metal monster that his band has produced.

"This is our most epic-sounding record to date, sonically powerful and over the top," he says. "14 new raging thrash metal songs that will make you bang your head!!!"

Swedish epic doom metal band BELOW will release its debut album, "Across The Dark River", on April 15 in North America via Metal Blade Records. The CD was recorded at the end of 2013 at Sonic Train Studios in Varberg, Sweden with producer Andy La Rocque (KING DIAMOND).

The first single from the record, "Portal", can be streamed below.

BELOW offers a brief quote about "Portal": "It's a song about being in the presence of spirits, entering another dimension, a portal to the dead."

BELOW hails from Sweden and music has influences from late BLACK SABBATH, CANDLEMASS and KING DIAMOND, so going with Andy La Rocque as the producer was a clear choice for the group. La Rocque said: "This is one of the heaviest bands I have worked with in the studio in a very long time. And always great to work with great musicians!"

BELOW started writing songs and in November of 2012 and a four-track EP was recorded at Deep Blue Studios in Sweden. By this time, Tobias of Howlin' Owl Productions heard them and asked to act as manager for the band. The EP was sent to various magazines, labels and people in the business and was praised by everybody who gave the songs a listen.

The band was created in 2000 in Montana/US by ex-CRESCENT SHIELD singer Michael Grant (who died in 2012); they played at that time very untrendy classic US power metal with some NWOBHM influences.

At the beginning of 2001 they released their debut album, Evermoving, via Century Media (only on CD). The eight power metal delicacies could definitely convince fans of old genre-classics with their classic and sophisticated double guitar harmonies and epic and abundant song structures. The album was recorded in 444hz instead of the standardized 440hz tuning. The decision was based by studying the lost "Solfeggio frequencies", original sound frequencies which were apparently used in Ancient Gregorian Chants and were believed to impart "spiritual blessings when sung in harmony" and also by studying the nefarious origins of 440hz. Tuning to 444hz corresponds to a "C" of 528hz on the Solfeggio Frequency Scale, the exact frequency used by genetic biochemists to repair broken DNA. This frequency is also believed to encourage "Transformation and Miracles."

A press release describes the album: “Dark Forest's innate sense of melody remains intact on The Awakening, as well as the band's trademarked epic twin-guitar dueling, but this time the album is permeated by a general sense of oppression and sorrow and sounds much more reflective than their previous works. Not by coincidence, The Awakening opens with the ending lines of Percy Bysshe Shelley's poem The Mask Of Anarchy and ends with the anthem ‘Sons Of England’. Cruz Del Sur Music has announced a deal with former Metal Blade artists DARKEST ERA for the release of the band’s new album, Severance.

Since their formation in 2005, Darkest Era have progressed their special and original 'Celtic heavy metal' formula, with epic compositions influenced by the darker side of Irish folklore as well as the classic, twin-guitar dueling of bands like THIN LIZZY and IRON MAIDEN. Severance shows more of this perfectly balanced formula with a more reflective spirit than in the past, but maintaining the untouched energetic vibe that has been the main characteristic of the band to date.

Guitarist Ade Mulgrew commented: "We are excited to be working with Cruz Del Sur to finally get this beast uncaged. The label has put out some amazing records in recent years and we feel we are in very good company."
