"Anyone Can Be A Hero", the new video from Swiss hard rockers CRYSTAL BALL, can be seen below. The song comes off the band's new album, "Dawnbreaker", which will be released on November 29 via Massacre Records. The CD was produced, mixed and mastered by Stefan Kaufmann (former ACCEPT drummer and U.D.O. guitarist) at ROXX Studio in Solingen, Germany.

The "Dawnbreaker" cover artwork was created by Thomas Ewerhard, who has previously worked with such bands as KISSIN' DYNAMITE, RAGE, AVANTASIA and EDGUY. The standard edition of the album will contain 11 tracks, while the limited-edition digipak will feature 13 songs.

CRYSTAL BALL's new digital single, "Anyone Can Be A Hero"/"Eternal Flame", is out now. The Swiss version of the single comes with different artwork and the songs are featured in reverse order.

The band will celebrate the "Dawnbreaker" release with a headlining performance on November 29 in Lucerne, Switzerland.

David E. Gehlke of DeadRhetoric.com recently conducted an interview with guitarist/vocalist Miland "Mille" Petrozza of German thrash metal veterans KREATOR. A couple of excerpts from the chat follow below.

DeadRhetoric.com: What about the "Endorama" days when admittedly, you weren't having the best of personal times?

Petrozza: It wasn't an identity crisis. Maybe I've asked my question a little too much: "What am I going to do?" I wasn't really that old. I was like, "Maybe I want to do something different with my life." Then I tried to go deeper into music and explore different styles.

DeadRhetoric.com: And that's your most experimental album.

Petrozza: Right. I like the album. I think it was necessary. At the time, it's just what we felt like; it's what we wanted to do. It's not like we forced [it]. No record company told us to write a goth album. When we signed to BMG in Europe they told us write another thrash album, but it wasn't in us at the time.

DeadRhetoric.com: The '90s weren't a good time to be in a thrash band.

Petrozza: Many bands fell into an identity crisis at the time. Remember the "Skunkworks" album that Bruce Dickinson did? That's even worse! [laughs]

DeadRhetoric.com: That's not a bad record, but I know what you're saying. You had such great success in the late 80′s and early '90s, but what do you do after that?

Petrozza: Some people said it was the grunge phase that killed it all, but I don't think it was only that. I think some metal bands were mistaken for the glam stuff. Like the real metal bands were labeled with the idiots that were around at the end of the '80s that made metal look bad. In my opinion, that's what they did. A lot of the glam stupidity took people off of metal. I think it has to do with the MTV era. Most of it here in America was the POISON, RATT, WHITESNAKE, then you had your one spot of SLAYER, EXODUS, and KREATOR. It was mostly that and people would think "This is metal." They want their glam stuff. I didn't listen to it, and I didn't want to have anything to do with it.

DeadRhetoric.com: When you got through the '90s and into "Violent Revolution", did it feel like it was time to do another thrash album? And as you know, people were skeptical of you doing something like that again.

Petrozza: I didn't really pay attention. I think the main influence — it sounds strange — we were on tour with WITCHERY in Europe. [THE HAUNTED guitarist] Jensen would play us the version without vocals of "The Haunted Made Do It", and that was all we listened to on the tour bus. We were like, "This is amazing. I can't wait for it to come out with the vocals." That was the inspiration because we were like, "Wait until you hear our new album!" [laughs]

DeadRhetoric.com: That's funny because those Swedish bands like THE HAUNTED, DARK TRANQUILLITY, and IN FLAMES will all say they're influenced by KREATOR, but here they are, influencing you.

Petrozza: Right! I sometimes don't like when people say that. When I read reviews online or in magazines, they say "They use those Swedish death metal riffs." I'm like "No! We were doing that before." Those people didn't do their homework. If you ask the guys from IN FLAMES, they'll tell you the same thing. I sometimes get a little…not frustrated, but I could punch the guy in the face. [laughs] Whatever. It just makes those guys look stupid that they didn't do their homework. If you call yourself a journalist, you should dig a little deeper.

DeadRhetoric.com: Is this going to be another two- or three-year-long touring cycle? No new album until 2015 or 2016?

Petrozza: Yeah. I do see it going that way. I need inspiration. I know some bands who I really respect, but they put an album out every year. A.) I'm not that productive; and B.) If I were to put an album out every year, I would have like, two good songs on every album. Nope. That's not the way it works. Music, as an individual and as a musician, you need time off to be inspired again. You need to go out there and live your life. Don't get me wrong — I love being on the road and being in the band and playing for the people, but I'm in a bubble — this isn't reality. This is different. When we get home and have a year and a half off, or even three months, that's when I start picking up my guitar again. This is when I get inspired. I read some books, and watch some movies.

Steve Patrick of UWeekly recently conducted an interview with SLAYER guitarist Kerry King. A couple of excerpts from the chat follow below.

UWeekly: In a recent interview you said that both you and [late SLAYER guitarist] Jeff [Hanneman] each had a song left off "World Painted Blood". Yours was called "Atrocity Vendor". What was Jeff's called?

King: "Piano Wire".

UWeekly: I assume it's about strangling someone?

King: I would imagine. I mean, it was so last minute I never even looked at the lyrics. [laughs]

UWeekly: It was just announced that all of SLAYER's albums will be reissued on vinyl in December. Are you a fan of listening to LPs?

King: I am. I don't want to sound like a hypocrite because I don't have a turntable set up, but I think it's cool like when we put out "The Vinyl Conflict" a few years back. I think that was a really cool product. I truly believe that vinyl sounds better. It's not just something audiophiles say. I found that out firsthand a number of years ago and I was stunned. I didn't know. Vinyl certainly sounds better. It's less compressed.

UWeekly: When you're songwriting in the future, do you think you'll consider what Jeff's viewpoint would have been on the new tunes if he were still here?

King: Well, there's definitely some things I need to finish that weren't finished and my only thought on that is that I don't want people to hear Jeff's last contribution and think that it's adequate. I want people to hear it and say, "Yeah! I'm happy with that." So I'm gonna really focus on getting those where they need to be whenever we include him on a record because I don't want it to sound like an afterthought… you know, unfinished ideas. I want it to be awesome so people can have someting and say, "I'm happy with this. It's cool."

Manila native and JOURNEY lead singer Arnel Pineda announced today that he, JOURNEY and their team — promoter Live Nation Entertainment; Creative Artists Agency (CAA); and manager John Baruck — are donating more than $350,000 to provide emergency food relief to people impacted by the recent super typhoon in the Philippines. These initial funds will help the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) provide Filipinos in urgent need of food assistance with more than 1.4 million meals.

"Don't stop believing, help is on the way for the people of the Philippines," said Arnel Pineda, who is leading the efforts to mobilize the coalition of partners. Pineda, based in Manila, plans to meet with World Food Programme's executive director Ertharin Cousin Saturday at WFP's Philippines headquarters in Manila to announce the donation.

The largest storm to ever make landfall, Super Typhoon Haiyan caused catastrophic damage, with more than 615,000 people displaced. When disaster strikes and hours can mean the difference between life and death, the UN World Food Programme is among the first on the ground to provide life-saving assistance.

Aid is also beginning to reach more remote locations, with distributions of High Energy Biscuits made in 20 communities on Friday. Life-saving HEBs are used in emergencies because they are nutritious, light to transport and need no cooking.

Brazilian melodic metallers ANGRA celebrated the 20th anniversary of the release of their 1993 debut album, "Angels Cry", with a special concert on August 25 at HSBC Brasil in São Paulo, Brazil.

As a means of celebrating its successful trajectory, the band took the opportunity to schedule a small tour through Brazil and Latin America, which culminated with the show in São Paulo, after 11 dates. If there was any aura of uncertainty towards the future, ANGRA shook it off for good with a very special concert, truly a night to remember. As guitar player Rafael Bittencourt put it, "For those who think we should quit, I tell you: we're just getting started". That pretty much summons up the very apparent joy that the band showed onstage, not only that night, but on the whole tour.

A stellar team of guests made everything even more special. Tarja Turunen, formerly of NIGHTWISH, lends her talent and angelic voice on two songs: "Stand Away" and Kate Bush's "Wuthering Heights". On the latter, the legendary Uli Jon Roth (SCORPIONS) is also featured, and shows why he is such a reference for the majority of guitar players around the world. The Brazilian string quartet FAMILIA LIMA appears in three songs, and drummer Amilcar Christopharo, from the band TORTURE SQUAD, grabs the sticks on "Evil Warning", representing the metal bands from Brazil.

"Angels Cry 20th Anniversary Tour" will be released as a separate DVD and a double CD, containing over 20 tracks in total and extra behind-the-scenes footage captured during the latest tour.

Former ANGRA singer André Matos celebrated the 20th anniversary of "Angels Cry" by performing the LP in its entirety on his recent solo tour, which kicked off in March. The show consisted of two parts, with the first part focusing on the material André wrote and recorded with SHAMAN and VIPER, as well as during his solo career.

ANGRA tapped acclaimed Italian vocalist Fabio Lione (VISION DIVINE, RHAPSODY OF FIRE, KAMELOT) to front the band for its most recent live performances, including an appearance aboard 70000 Tons Of Metal, the world's biggest heavy metal cruise, which sailed on January 28 from Miami, Florida and returned to the real world on February 1.

Singer Eduardo "Edu" Falaschi quit ANGRA in May 2012. He explained in a statement, "There comes a moment in a man's life when it is necessary to make a radical decision in order to move forward with dignity and renewed energy."

Falaschi joined ANGRA in 2000 and appeared on the band's last four studio albums — 2001's "Rebirth", 2004's "Temple Of Shadows", 2006's "Aurora Consurgens" and 2010's "Aqua".

ANGRA has yet to announce a permanent replacement for Falaschi, who is focusing on ALMAH and other projects.

Jimmy Page has confirmed that the upcoming LED ZEPPELIN album reissues include previously unreleased material.

"Each of the albums has been remastered but it also has a companion disc with it," the guitarist told TeamRock Radio's Nicky Horne earlier tonight (Thursday, November 14) at the ninth annual Classic Rock Roll Of Honour at London, England's Roundhouse (hear audio below). "Let's take, for example, 'Led Zeppelin III' — that's remastered from analog from the original thing. I know everybody does that, but what they don't do.. I revisited all the working mixes that were done at the time."

He continued: "There's different versions. Say, for example, there's 'Since I've Been Loving You' — there's an incredible version of that which is totally different, it's really raw in its approach, it's quite dramatic, it's cool. That's one little item of it, but what it gives is a companion disc to 'Led Zeppelin III'. It'll come out in its own box and all the rest of it. Each disc will give a really intimate picture of the group. That's the idea that I've had with it and I think it's successful."

Page also revealed that he has completed work on the audio portion of the reissue production process.

"It's all done, all the sonic side of it," he said.

He added: "It'll come out next year. When I say 'it' — each box comes out separately."

Asked if the reissues will contain any unreleased material, Page replied: "Oh yeah. I can't tell you [what it is]… It's got to be a little bit of a surprise, I can't give all the games away."

Page, who produced all of LED ZEPPELIN's live and studio albums, has served as the band's chief archivist and personally oversaw the remastering of the band's catalogue back in the nearly '90s.

In a 2012 interview with Mojo magazine, Page explained, "There are a number of LED ZEPPELIN projects that will come out next year because there are different versions of tracks that we have that can be added to the album so there will be box sets of material that will come out, starting next year. There will be one box set per album with extra music that will surface."

Last November saw the release of LED ZEPPELIN's live collection, "Celebration Day", which was recorded and filmed at ZEPPELIN's December 10, 2007 reunion show at London's O2 Arena. The concert film was released on CD, DVD, Blu-ray disc through Swan Song/Atlantic Records.

Page attended the Classic Rock Roll Of Honour to pick up the "Film Of The Year" award for "Celebration Day".

"I know this comes from the readers, so I've got to extend my great thanks," Page said in his acceptance speech. "It was a great concert and we got the energy into the video… well, the DVD… and the Blu-ray. I'm here on behalf of the band and I thank you on their behalf."

Finnish symphonic metallers NIGHTWISH will release their new DVD, "Showtime, Storytime", on November 29 as a limited 2Blu-ray + 2CD digipack, limited 2DVD + 2CD digipack, limited 2CD digipack, 2LP (colored) in gatefold and an exclusive Nuclear Blast mailorder edition.

"Showtime, Storytime" contains NIGHTWISH's entire August 3 performance at the Wacken Open Air festival in Wacken, Germany. The show, which was played in the front of 85,000 screaming metalheads, was directed by Ville Lipiäinen, filmed with seventeen cameras and has a total running time of 85 minutes. The second disc consists of a 120-minute tour documentary, "Please Learn The Setlist In 48 Hours", also directed by Ville Lipiäinen, with no shortage of drama or overall madness. Also, there is a 16-minute NIGHTWISH Table Hockey Tournament, filmed on tour. In addition, there are two music clips: "I Want My Tears Back" (live at Hartwall Arena in Helsinki, Finland) and "Ghost Love Score" (live in Buenos Aires). The Wacken Open Air appearance was the first of the three final shows of NIGHTWISH's "Imaginaerum World Tour", which saw the band and their Dutch singer Floor Jansen (REVAMP, ex-AFTER FOREVER) playing 104 concerts in 34 different countries, with a total audience of over 1.5 million fans around the globe.

Atlanta progressive metallers MASTODON have teamed up with the the London, England-based Signature Brew to create Black Tongue, an 8.3% Double Black IPA named after one of the band's songs.

Signature Brew's description: "Rumbling smoky notes are offset by the elixir of misbehaving punchy hops. Launched in August 2011, Signature Brew works with musicians to create custom brews tailored to the artists' specific tastes.

According to Bloomberg, the idea behind Signature Brew is simple: Let a band sample a range of beers, write down what its members like and don't like, and then create a brew specifically for them.

Original KISS guitarist Ace Frehley has inked a new two-album deal with eOne Music.

Frehley recently spent time in the studio with drummer Matt Starr (BURNING RAIN) and bassist Chris Wyse (THE CULT, OWL) working on Ace's new CD. An early 2014 release is expected.

Frehley's last album, "Anomaly", was made available as a 2-LP vinyl set featuring two new limited-edition colors on October 1 via Brookvale Records. Only 750 units of each color were manufactured.

Frehley told Billboard.com in a 2009 interview that he intended "Anomaly" to "kind of pick up where I left off with my first solo album" — 1978's "Ace Frehley". "Prior to going into the studio, I listened to that first album, which everybody cites as their favorite Ace record," Frehley said. "I dissected it and tried to get into the same mind set this time around. I think I recaptured some of the musical textures and attitude and vibe that I had on that first record." "Anomaly" was recorded at Schoolhouse Studios in New York and at Ace's home studio in Westchester, New York.

Sony International has announce the release of SCORPIONS' new offering "MTV Unplugged". Due out in North America on January 21, 2014, material from "MTV Unplugged" is taken from the SCORPIONS' first-ever "MTV Unplugged" show and features new acoustic versions of best-loved classic hits, as well as five brand new songs. "MTV Unplugged" will be available in two formats — a standard CD and a deluxe version featuring CD + DVD. "MTV Unplugged" will be released in 50 countries, a testament to the German band's iconic status worldwide. Recorded and filmed just a few months ago on September 11 and September 12 of this year, "MTV Unplugged" was culled from two dynamic acoustic sets at the Lycabettus Theatre in Athens, Greece. The spectacular open-air theatre, situated 300 meters above the city, was an impressive backdrop for the first-ever open-air show in the history of "MTV Unplugged" (the theatre also shares a birth year with the SCORPIONS themselves, having been built in 1965, the same year the SCORPIONS formed). BLACK SABBATH won three awards at last night's (Thursday, November 14) ninth annual Classic Rock Roll Of Honour at London, England's Roundhouse. They took home "Album Of The Year" for comeback CD "13", "Event Of The Year" for reaching No. 1 after 43 years, and the previously announced "Living Legends" award. Singer Ozzy Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iommi and bassist Geezer Butler were present at the venue to celebrate what the frontman called a "shock year."

Osbourne said: "I never thought I'd be standing here, what, 45 years later? It's an incredible event for us all. We're still in shock. It's been an incredible year, after I spent all those earlier ones trying to kill myself."

Iommi added: "Thanks for everything. It's great to see all these old and new faces."

Jimmy Page accepted the "Film Of The Year" award for LED ZEPPELIN concert movie "Celebration Day", saying: "It was a great concert and we got the energy into the video — well, the DVD… and the Blu-ray. I'm here on behalf of the band and I thank you on their behalf."

Drummer Matt Cameron of reunited grunge legends SOUNDGARDEN will sit out the band's live appearances in 2014 due to his commitments as a member of PEARL JAM.

In a statement posted earlier today (Friday, November 15) on SOUNDGARDEN's web site, Cameron wrote: "I will be taking 2014 off from SOUNDGARDEN touring due to prior commitments promoting [PEARL JAM's album] 'Lightning Bolt' with my brothers in PEARL JAM and the desire to have more time at home with my family. I am trying to balance the many twists and turns of my awesome music career. This is temporary. I am still an active member of SOUNDGARDEN."

Cameron added that he is helping his SOUNDGARDEN bandmates — Chris Cornell (vocals, guitar), Ben Shepherd (bass) and Kim Thayil (guitar) — find "the perfect substitute for the upcoming SOUNDGARDEN dates in 2014."

SOUNDGARDEN is scheduled to play at Lollapalooza festivals in Chile, Argentina and Brazil in the spring and has confirmed several German concerts in June.

SOUNDGARDEN's very first record releases are being reissued on CD, double vinyl and as a digital set on November 26 via Sub Pop Records.

The set will include the band's entire debut EP, "Screaming Life", as well as bonus tracks from its "Fopp" EP and songs that appeared on the "Sub Pop 200" compilation, all initially issued in the late Eighties.

"King Animal", the first collection of all-new material in 16 years from SOUNDGARDEN, and first since the group reunited in 2010, sold 83,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 5 on The Billboard 200 chart. The effort arrived in stores on November 13, 2012 via Tom Whalley's new record label, a partnership between his Seven Four Entertainment and Republic Records.

HELLOWEEN singer Andi Deris and his solo band, BAD BANKERS, have released a studio video introducing their song "Banker's Delight (DOA)". Check it out below.

Deris has returned with his first solo album since 1999. Not so much a solo effort in its original sense, but recorded in a band environment to achieve a real band feeling, "Million Dollar Haircuts On Ten Cent Heads" will be released on November 22 via earMUSIC.

Written and composed by Andi Deris himself, "Million Dollar Haircuts On Ten Cent Heads" has a crispy, modern sound to it. The diverse, high-class production is snotty, dirty and brutally honest and is described in a press release as "a healthy mixture of HELLOWEEN's recent records combined with 'Master Of The Rings' tradition (Andi's first HELLOWEEN album)."

Recorded together with his band BAD BANKERS, "Million Dollar Haircuts On Ten Cent Heads" sees Deris criticizing the economic system and its corruption. Although the topic may seem a bit dull, the heavy guitar riffs and Deris' recognizable voice clearly make a point: "fuck banks, fuck managers, fuck bankers." He explains: "Obviously we despise everything around banks, managers and bankers who are clearly responsible for the shit that goes on nowadays (and most certainly in our future), so it felt very good to vocally tell them what we think about them. Sure, therefore it's highly explicit but hey… who gives a fuck? That's what they deserve... and it helps the music to really kick some ass."

"Deathwish", the new Kirk Farrington-directed video from American hardcore metallers PRO-PAIN, can be seen below. The song comes off the band's new studio album, "The Final Revolution", which will be released on November 25 in Europe and January 21, 2014 in North America via SPV/Steamhammer. According to vocalist/bassist Gary Meskil, PRO-PAIN's 14th studio recording marks the band's return to its old form. "The music is quite dark, and the groove and tempos are very reminiscent of the classic PRO-PAIN style as opposed to our last album, 'Straight To The Dome', which was a bit more thrashy," he says.

"The Final Revolution" was recorded, mixed, and mastered by V.O. Pulver (GURD) from August 18 to August 29, 2013 at Little Creek Studio in Gelterkinden, Switzerland. Meskil wrote all of the music and lyrics at his home in Sarasota, Florida.

"In order to keep things interesting, I decided to take the reins and handle all of the writing duties alone this time," he says. "It's the first PRO-PAIN album since the '90s in which I've written everything."

The standard "The Final Revolution" release will feature twelve brand-new tracks. There will be other configurations available as well, in the form of a digipak and gatefold album. Those configurations will contain some bonus material (including live tracks plus a UK SUBS cover), foldout poster, etc. Meskil adds: "I'm sure the fans will love it!"

"Low Tide", the new video from the genre-defying Savannah quintet KYLESA, can be seen below. The animated clip was directed by Brodie Rush.

KYLESA will make its eagerly awaited return to Europe in support of the band's current album, "Ultraviolet". The extensive tour will kick off on January 10 in Prague, Czech Republic and continue until February 8 in Leipzig, Germany. Suopport on the trek will come from SIERRA and JAGGED VISION.

"Ultraviolet" was released on May 24 in Europe and May 28 in North America via Season Of Mist. The follow-up to "Spiral Shadow" was recorded at The Jam Room in Columbia, South Carolina, with the band's guitar player/songwriter and sought-after producer, Phillip Cope (BARONESS, BLACK TUSK), once again overseeing production.

The cover artwork for "Ultraviolet" was created by Sean Beaudry. Beaudry, a fellow Savannah resident, did the artwork for the band's "Time Will Fuse Its Worth" reissue. "Whereas 'Spiral Shadow' was a warm album suggesting concepts of hope, 'Ultraviolet' is a bit colder and darker," explained KYLESA songwriter/guitar player Laura Pleasants.

"All of our studio albums have their own unique identity and we've always been a band who strives for something different than what current fads suggest. With 'Ultraviolet', we took a step inward and wrote music that we felt we had to write; this album centers around the multiple themes of loss and you can feel it in the music. Everyone goes through it during their lifetime and this record reflects that experience."

KYLESA issued a rarities collection in November 2012 titled "From The Vaults, Vol. 1", which featured previously unreleased, new and alternate versions of songs spanning the band's catalog as well as one new song titled "End Truth". It is more heavy metal songs that are hooky and great and fun and make you want to rock and make you want to have a good time and party. "Balls Out" sold nearly 12,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 40 on The Billboard 200 chart.

"Party Like Tomorrow Is The End Of The World" performance (November 8 in San Francisco):

Blake Judd of Chicago-based extremists NACHTMYSTIUM — who was arrested early last month on charges of theft by unauthorized control of property not exceeding $500 in value — has put the band to rest.

In a statement on his Facebook page, Judd writes: "Today, I turn 31 years old and as a gift to myself, as sad as it makes me to do this, I'm letting go of something that I've put blood, sweat and tears into for the last 13 1/2 years.

"It's been an amazing ride full of extreme highs and extreme lows. It's taken me around the world to places I'd never have imagined getting to see / experience. I've toured with some of my favorite bands ever and met some of the most amazing people I could ever have asked to meet. These experiences are fond memories that I will be able to reflect on until the day I die and be eternally grateful for having in my mind.

"There are two releases left that are yet to come out: a split 10-inch MLP with THE MANY, which will be released on Plastik Musik in the coming months, and the band's epitaph LP, 'The World We Left Behind', to be released worldwide on CD / LP / digitally by Century Media Records in spring 2014. A vinyl box set of the band's entire discography is also in the works and will hopefully see the light of day sometime in 2014.

The world leaders implement his "solutions" over the years as he slowly awakens to his own lust for power. He is so adept at manipulating men that they crown him king either in the public eye or behind the scenes. Once this king has total authority, he betrays the world leaders who realize that they've been misled for years. After systematically eliminating opposition, he turns on the entire human race. At this point, Azrael is fully self-actualized and carries out acts of suffering and death throughout the world in a way never before witnessed by mankind.
