P.O.D. Song Deemed Too Violent For Festival ShowAccording to The Pulse Of Radio, P.O.D. canceled an appearance this past Sunday (October 28) at a festival in Ventura, California after officials objected to the lyrics of one of the band's biggest songs, "Youth Of The Nation". According to the Ventura County Star, an official at the Ventura County Fairgrounds sent an email to the promoter of the Monster Jam Fest requesting that P.O.D. not play "Youth Of The Nation" because the lyrics, which were partially inspired by three separate school shootings, were "too touchy and controversial" and "too violent to be played at a family event."
"Youth Of The Nation" appeared on the band's 2001 album "Satellite" and was nominated for a Grammy for "Best Hard Rock Performance".
The event was moved to a smaller venue after P.O.D. pulled out. The band did not comment on the situation except for a tweet announcing the cancellation and a link to the article in the County Star.
Ironically, P.O.D. singer Sonny Sandoval told The Pulse Of Radio that he often has his five-year-old son on the road with him, which keeps touring a family affair. "You know, if anything, I think just his presence alone here sets the tone for the rest of the guys," he said. "And not only that, it reminds a lot of these rock stars and a lot of these young guys out here that they are daddies or they do have responsibilities, you know what I mean, so when they see me walking around with him and putting him first, and caring more about being a father than I do a rock star, it kind of sets the tone."
P.O.D. will be getting back on the road in November, opening for 3 DOORS DOWN and DAUGHTRY, and will also set sail on the 2012 ShipRocked cruise from November 27 through December 3.
The band's latest single, "Higher", is taken from "Murdered Love", which came out this past July and ended a four-year hiatus for the group. 6

SOUNDGARDEN: 'King Animal' Deluxe Versions UnveiledReunited grunge legends SOUNDGARDEN will release their first collection of all-new material in 16 years, and first since the group reunited in 2010, "King Animal", on November 13 via Tom Whalley's new record label, a partnership between his Seven Four Entertainment and Republic Records.
Deluxe versions of "King Animal" include a box set, a deluxe CD, iTunes deluxe and 180-gram double vinyl. Many of the deluxe editions include album track demos recorded in singer Chris Cornell's home studio.
For details of the "King Animal" deluxe versions, visit SoundgardenWorld.com.
"King Animal" track listing:
01. Been Away Too Long
02. Non-State Actor
03. By Crooked Steps
04. A Thousand Days Before
05. Blood On The Valley Floor
06. Bones Of Birds
07. Taree
08. Attrition
09. Black Saturday
10. Halfway There
11. Worse Dreams
12. Eyelid's Mouth
13. Rowing
Drummer Matt Cameron told The Pulse Of Radio two things that he thinks made SOUNDGARDEN special then and now: "In our scene up here in the Northwest in the '80s and '90s, we were sometimes considered to be the RUSH of Seattle, just because we could sort of play our instruments maybe better than most bands. [laughs] We never really tried to flaunt any musical chops, but we always had pretty diverse tastes. We had a lot of really cool influences amongst ourselves that we tried to infuse in the music."
The first single from the disc is called "Been Away Too Long".
Cornell told OnstageWeb that the track is literally about the band's reunion, explaining, "It means that a group, in this case personified by SOUNDGARDEN, has been away and the length of that away time has suddenly become maybe overextended. So been away too long, like thank God we're back now. It seems like it might have been a little bit too long for us to be gone."
The vocalist added that he was surprised that SOUNDGARDEN seems poised to once again fill a void for "real" rock music, saying, "I always expected that after we broke up or even maybe before we broke up that there should be or would be some very vital scene, numerous interesting rock bands that are kind of taking the history of rock music and making it their own." 2

HELLOWEEN: More New Album Details RevealedThe follow-up to their 2010 "7 Sinners" release, "Straight Out Of Hell" is the latest studio album to be issued beneath the celebrated HELLOWEEN banner — a banner first unfurled back in 1985.
Set for release via Spinefarm Records on January 21, 2013, "Straight Out Of Hell" has been produced by Charlie Bauerfeind, who also worked on "7 Sinners", and sees the five musicians maintaining a rawer edge throughout, working quickly in the studio (MiSueno Studio in Tenerife) and delivering 13 brand new compositions that, in the words of founding member, guitarist Michael Weikath, will "kick even the laziest listener's ass!"
Bristling with positive energy, songs such as "Make Fire Catch The Fly", "Far From The Stars" and the title track itself, written by bassist Markus Grosskopf, show that when HELLOWEEN push their collective foot to the floor they are never too keen to ease off the gas; and they take chances, ever willing to use their well-documented virtuosity to break out of the mould.
Says singer Andi Deris: "We've always followed our own path when it comes to music… and if someone had ever tried to stop us, well, we'd have done what we wanted, anyway! Some of our moves have attracted negative reactions at first, but in time they've gone on to reap success and reward, and that's the kind of freedom you can feel on this new album – we don't allow ourselves to be put under pressure…"
With Deris, Weikath, Grosskopf (also a founding member) and guitarist Sascha Gerstner all providing material, "Straight…" is a passionate, multi-layered affair, complete with a limited edition premium package featuring a special Hammond organ run-through of Weikath outing, "Burning Sun" — this version conceived as a tribute to DEEP PURPLE's Jon Lord.
As for first single/video, that's now confirmed as "Nabatea" — a seven-minute-plus composition about the legendary kingdom, located in today's Middle East, where the first real democracy existed over 3000 years ago. The secret Nabatean city, Petra, only discovered last century, is the backdrop for many myths and legends, and here it provides the ideal subject matter for a set of lyrics far removed from the rock 'n' roll norm.
On the live front, meanwhile, HELLOWEEN (fresh from appearing at prestigious Japanese festival Loud Park) will be returning to the road in March 2013 — the first part of a world tour set to kick off in mainland Europe, with GAMMA RAY as special guests. The follow-up to the "Hellish Rock" tour of 2007/2008, this extended outing ("Hellish Rock Part II") will bring the band to the U.K. on April 16 for a one-off date at the London Forum.

BLACK SABBATH, SLIPKNOT Confirmed For Japan's OZZFESTBLACK SABBATH and SLIPKNOT have been confirme for the Japanese installment of Ozzy Osbourne's travelling festival, Ozzfest, set to take place May 11-12, 2013 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba City (outside Tokyo).
"Ozzy and I want to tell you that May 2013 we will bringing Ozzfest to Japan for the first time ever," Osbourne's wife/manager Sharon said in a video announcement (see below). "We are so excited. Please be there because we love you Japan."
Ozzfest, which began in 1996, has not been a traveling festival since 2007's "free" edition. The show morphed into a one-off event in Dallas in 2008, also featuring METALLICA, before taking 2009 off.
The 2010 U.S. Ozzfest played in just six cities, with OZZY OSBOURNE co-headlining with MÖTLEY CRÜE and the rest of the main stage filled out by HALFORD, the solo band of JUDAS PRIEST singer Rob Halford, along with DEVILDRIVER and NONPOINT.
The aging festival faced increased competition in recent years from the annual Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem tour, as well as the Uproar festival.

Ex-ARCH ENEMY Guitarist CHRISTOPHER AMOTT: Audio Recording Of LOUD PARK PerformanceAn audio recording of former ARCH ENEMY guitarist Christopher Amott's solo performance at the Loud Park festival on October 27 at Saitama Super Arena, a multi-purpose indoor arena located in Saitama City, Japan, can be streamed in the YouTube clip below. Backing him at the gig were Matt Wicklund (GOD FORBID) and Van Williams (NEVERMORE, ASHES OF ARES).
Amott's new solo album, "Impulses", can be purchased directly from his music store.
Amott — who currently resides in Lansdale, a suburb of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, after marrying an American woman — in March issued a statement explaining that he left ARCH ENEMY to pursue his solo career. He said, "I'm gonna continue to be very active in music, working with all kinds of styles — this does not rule out metal."
ARCH ENEMY recruited American guitarist Nick Cordle (ARSIS) to replace Christopher.
Christopher Amott started his career in music in 1995 as a founding creative force and guitarist in ARCH ENEMY. In this context, he is known for his tastefully technical guitar work and memorably emotive playing style.
After garnering his early success, Christopher had the desire to express himself on a personal level in the same genre. At this time he began writing albums under the name ARMAGEDDON. Christopher wrote and recorded three albums over the next few years as ARCH ENEMY grew into an internationally recognized act, with his compositions featuring his own vocal stylings on the last album. This would be Christopher's first foray into singing and a spark of inspiration for his later musical ventures.
In 2008, Christopher began to consider his creative options as a mature musician. He began writing songs of an entirely different atmosphere, which saw his guitar playing focused less on technical ecstasy and more on a chord-based blues rock ambience as a foundation for more prominent vocal and lyrical ideas. These compositions developed into his next solo project; the album would be called "Follow Your Heart", released under his own name in 2010.

EXHUMED Denied Entry To CanadaWest Coast death gore hooligans EXHUMED have released the following statement:
"We are super-bummed that the Canadian border patrol has denied us entry to their otherwise fine country today and forced us to cancel our Halloween show in Montreal. We even had ridiculous costumes prepared!
"We are doing everything in our power to sort out the paperwork to make the Toronto show tomorrow, but it doesn't look too likely.
"In case we are forced to cancel Toronto as well, we would be stoked to jump on a metal/punk show in the Buffalo/Cleveland area tomorrow. Please contact our agent, Dan Rozenblum at dan@thepantheonagency.com.
"We will do our best keep everybody up on the situation. In the meantime, cheers to our friends in [MUNICIPAL] WASTE, NAPALM DEATH and VEKTOR who will tear Montreal several new orifices tonight!"
EXHUMED recently completed recording the follow-up to 2011's "All Guts, No Glory" full-length. The as-yet-untitled longplayer was tracked at Arcane Digital Recording in Chandler, Arizona with Ryan Butler (MISERY INDEX, LANDMINE MARATHON, PHOBIA). All drums were laid down at Trench Studios in Corona, California with John Haddad (HIRAX, ABYSMAL DAWN, INTRONAUT). The unholy offering will be unleashed by Relapse Records sometime next year.
EXHUMED 2012 features the smoldering lineup of vocalist/guitarist Matt Harvey alongside bassist Rob "Body Bag" Babcock, drummer Mike Hamilton and guitarist/vocalist Bud Burke, who played bass with the band from 1999 to 2004 and recently rejoined the legion for their live rituals on this year's Summer Slaughter Tour.

Sweden's LIZETTE & Releases 'Crush U' Video"Crush U", the new video from LIZETTE &, the Stockholm, Sweden-based alternative/hard rock band led by Lizette von Panajott, can be seen below. The track comes off the group's second album, "Just Smile", which was released in February via Freeside Records.
The idea for "Crush U" originally came from an American fan who thought it would be cool if LIZETTE & made a song for the Halloween holidays.
During the filming of the video, there was a lot of crawling around in dust and piles of leaves, lavished with blood and a lot of skin was shown to the cameras.
LIZETTE & was recently nominated in the "Breakthrough Of The Year" category at Aftonbladet's annual Rockbjörn awards.
LIZETTE &'s first album, "This Is", came out in 2003.

CRYPTOPSY In Japan: 15-Minute Video RecapA 15-minute video recap of CRYPTOPSY's visit to Japan to perform at the Loud Park festival on October 27 at Saitama Super Arena, a multi-purpose indoor arena located in Saitama City can be seen below.
CRYPTOPSY guitarist Jon Levasseur is sitting out the band's dates in support of their new, self-titled album. Filling in for him is former CRYPTOPSY member Youri Raymond.
Raymond left CRYPTOPSY in December 2011, explaining in a statement that "it's in the best interest of both the band and I to part ways." He added, "As a musician, moving from guitar to bass was a great challenge, but honestly, I never really felt comfortable in that position and my motivation in general was stagnating."
The self-titled new album from CRYPTOPSY will be released in the U.S. on November 20 via Cryptopsy/Defen Society in association with Revulotion Harmony/Candlelight Records. Pre-orders for the album are available through the band at Cryptopsy.ca.
The cover artwork for "Cryptopsy" was created by Mircea Gabriel Eftemie (MNEMIC).
CRYPTOPSY in January tapped bassist Olivier Pinard (NEURAXIS, VENGEFUL) as the replacement for guitarist-turned-bassist Youri Raymond.

CANNIBAL CORPSE: Pro-Shot Footage Of Entire Sydney ConcertMoshcam has uploaded professionally filmed video footage of CANNIBAL CORPSE's entire October 6 concert at The Metro Theatre in Sydney, Australia. You can now watch it at this location. A few of the clips are available below. Moshcam also conducted a pre-gig interview with CANNIBAL CORPSE drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz and bassist Alex Webster.
CANNIBAL CORPSE will embark on a U.S. headlining tour in November. Support on the trek will come from MISERY INDEX and HOUR OF PENANCE.
CANNIBAL CORPSE's twelfth studio album, "Torture", sold 9,600 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 38 on The Billboard 200 chart. The band's previous CD, "Evisceration Plague", also opened with 9,600 units to land at No. 66. That was more than 50 percent higher than the opening tally of CANNIBAL CORPSE's 2006 CD, "Kill", which entered the chart at No. 170 after shifting more than 6,000 copies.
"Torture" was again produced by HATE ETERNAL's Erik Rutan at his own Mana Recording Studio in St. Petersburg, Florida as well as Sonic Ranch in Tornillo, Texas, and features the maniacal cover art by longtime CANNIBAL CORPSE artist Vincent Locke.
While "Torture" marks the latest progression in the band's sound, it also witnesses a return to what drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz accurately terms "the frenzied attack of 'Butchered At Birth' (1991) or 'Tomb Of The Mutilated' (1992)," infusing the band's advanced musicianship with the raw savagery that haunted their earlier releases, and in the process conceiving the definitive CANNIBAL CORPSE record.

BLOODY HAMMERS Set November 23rd European Release Date For Self-Titled Debut; North American Release In FebruaryCharlotte, North Carolina occult rock band BLOODY HAMMERS will release it's debut album, Bloody Hammers, on November 23th in Europe via Soulseller Records (February 3rd, 2013 in North America via Soulseller Records, distributed by RED).
Bloody Hammers was recorded and produced by bassist / vocalist Anders Manga at NC's Greystone Studios. Named after the singularly atomic ROKY ERICKSON & THE ALIENS song of the same name, Bloody Hammers play dark, hallucinatory heavy music that is as primitive and powerful as a dry stone wall and propelled by bassist Anders Manga's captivatingly haunting voice.
Pre-orders for the limited edition CD and LP versions of the album will also begin on November 23rd at this location.
Bloody Hammers' self-titled LP captures the band's strong display of dooming riffs, dashboard-pounding grooves and vocals that segue from angry wail to soaring croon while warning listeners of impending doom.
"This album is a heavy and melodic collection of evil songs, and I could not be happier with the result," says Manga. "Stylistically, I wanted to make a horror fueled hard rock album and this debut LP reflects that very sentiment and much more."
The first track released from Bloody Hammers will be the stormy 'Witch Of Endor', which is expected to make its online premiere soon.
'Witch Of Endor' is streaming below:
Bloody Hammers tracklisting:
'Witch Of Endor'
'Fear No Evil'

STUKA SQUADRON Change Name To IRON KNIGHTS; New Album Delayed By One WeekBritish heavy metal band STUKA SQUADRON have changed the band name to IRON KNIGHTS. The release of the album, New Sound Of War, will be postponed from the original release date November 19th to November 26th, under the new band moniker.
A message from the band follows:
Stuka Squadron have just returned from a massively enjoyable and highly successful tour of England and Wales – and now it is time for a fresh chapter in the band history. Just before we fired our former bassist Graham Cushway in September, he proceeded to trademark the band name claiming sole ownership and creation of everything that the band has achieved since its inception. Cushway, known as Lord Pyre, was actually a co-founder of the band alongside James ‘Duke Fang’ Begley, but has since claimed that he wrote everything on the debut EP and first album (a ‘fact’ not borne out by either reality or the official credits listed on the album) and was responsible for every aspect of the band’s development, including all goodwill generated by the band, up until his dismissal. We were not informed of his trademarking, but simply happened upon it by chance. He also threatened us with libel action because we said ‘he resigned’. We did not. And he did not. So, to clarify the point that he wanted clarified: He was fired after the remaining band members considered that he repeatedly failed to measure up to many of his band obligations.
Following several lengthy emails from Graham Cushway detailing his demands and conditions in regard to the band continuing under the name Stuka Squadron, threatening legal action at every possible turn, we of course opted to contest his assertions. However, trademark and copyright law is extremely complex and difficult to prove, despite the facts being categorically listed and known to the band members. Legal counsel – who helped navigate a minefield of jargon – were compelled to point out that the proof that was available did not necessarily show the reality of events: much of the band’s early business being run in an extremely informal way. Indeed, the trademark will not even become confirmed until November 28th as it is still listed as ‘Advertised’ not ‘Registered’ and within the two month contestable period, yet already Cushway has had several images of ours removed from Facebook citing ‘copyright violation’; Facebook replying to our queries with information about the complainant but also the fact that they immediately react to complaints rather than check the facts of the matter.
During our tour we continued to receive emails from Cushway threatening us with all manner of legal action regarding the premature breach of his not-yet-enforceable Trademark. We were warned by him to immediately cease all shows under the name Stuka Squadron. Needless to say, the gigs were superb!
This whole sorry episode will serve no purpose other than to get between the band and its growing legion of headbanging hardcore metalhead fans. This is a situation we cannot allow to continue. With the band moving steadily forward, an excellent new bass player (and even an excellent substitute bass player who deputised for the recent tour!) we have decided to start a new chapter and not fund this bottomless legal money pit.
Thus the Stuka Squadron is reborn. We have been promoted. We are no longer merely a Squadron… we are the Iron Knights… and under this banner we will continue to move forward. Despite Graham Cushway’s attempts to prevent our new album release (an album he did not play on), and his interference with the label and in turn the distributors who are handling this release, it will merely be postponed by a week and will emerge under the new band name: Iron Knights. Stuka Squadron is no more – but the Iron Knights are now unstoppable."

AEROSMITH Premier 'Lover Alot'; Steven Tyler Comments On TrackOn November 6th, AEROSMITH will release Music From Another Dimension! on Columbia Records. It marks the band’s 15th studio album and their first studio album of all-new material in 11 years.
RollingStone.com are premiering the album, one track at a time, in the weeks leading up to the release. Driving rocker 'Lover Alot' is an echo directly from Aerosmith's earliest hit-making years, and could arguably fit easily on any of their classic 70s albums. A collision of guitars erupts behind an excited Steven Tyler, who rips through an avalanche of innuendo and explicit sexuality: "You get a thrill from the smell of her hair/You get a high from the taste of her wet/It's certified, bu-bu-bu-but chu ain't getting there yet!"
It begins with a false start and a groan from drummer Joey Kramer, then dives in without a break until it crashes to a shriek and a close. It's the kind of sound many fans have expected to come with the return of producer Jack Douglas, chief collaborator on Aerosmith's first decade of career-defining work. Douglas also plays some percussion on 'Lover Alot'.

SKROG Release Debut Album; 'Dark Metamorphosis' Video PostedThe Global Elite, the debut album from Minneapolis industrial metal war machine SKROG, is now available on CD format. The album can be purchased here, and is also available as a digital download here.
Skrog is the work of vocalist/multi-instrumentalist/composer Jay Reiter and The Global Elite is an explosive, damning account of the current state of American politics and policies. Sonically speaking, Skrog draws influence from bands spanning a wide musical spectrum of dark music - from the dance/techno styles of LORD OF ACID, SKINNY PUPPY, and FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY all the way to SLAYER, MINISTRY, CHIMAIRA, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, and CANNIBAL CORPSE. Indeed, elements of black metal, death metal, doom, and thrash can all be heard in one form or another on The Global Elite. In Skrog, Reiter has developed a means of pushing industrial metal into a more modern and aggressive form of music.
A video for 'Dark Metamorphosis' can be seen below:
The Global Elite tracklisting:
'The Revelation'
'Mk-Ultra'
'Military Industrial Complex'
'Submit'
'The End of the World (As You Know It)'

Lyrically, Wanderer On The Continent Of Saplings is a concept album, drawing structurally and thematically from Joseph Campbell's studies on mythology, Hero With A Thousand Faces and The Hero's Journey. Some of the album's overarching themes are: Existence on North America, our continent of cultural saplings, the journey we must take grieving death, seeking satisfaction amidst chaos, and how we deal with these ageless human issues in this modern age.
Joel has reprised his role as songwriter, vocalist, and guitarist for the album, and enlisted Rae Amitay and Brendan Hayter to handle drums and bass respectively. The pair was chosen to complete the Woods of Ypres line-up for the band's European tour in support of Woods 5: Grey Skies And Electric Light. Unfortunately, the tragic passing of David Gold put an end to those plans, but drummer Rae Amitay says, "Thrawsunblat II is an incredibly special way for the three of us to create music together. It's an amazing project, and I'm honoured that Joel has chosen us to be a part of it."
Thrawsunblat II was recorded in July and August, in studios in both Canada and the United States. The band hopes to release both physical copies and digital downloads of the album in January of 2013.
The band is accepting donations via PayPal (thrawsunblat@gmail.com) and has launched a fundraising page documenting their efforts, as well as offering sneak peeks and exclusive content here."

LED ZEPPELIN: Full-Length 'Kashmir' Performance Clip From 'Celebration Day' DVDA full-length performance of the song "Kashmir" from LED ZEPPELIN's "Celebration Day", which documents the band's 2007 concert at London, England's O2 Arena, can be seen below.
The film made its U.S. debut at the historic Ziegfeld Theater in New York's theater district on October 9. Prior to the premiere, founding members John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page, and Robert Plant were joined by Jason Bonham, the son of their late drummer John Bonham, for a press conference at New York's Museum of Modern Art.
LED ZEPPELIN took the stage at London's O2 Arena on December 10, 2007 to headline a tribute concert for dear friend and Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun. What followed was a two-hour-plus tour de force of the band's signature blues-infused rock 'n' roll that instantly became part of the legend of LED ZEPPELIN. Although 20 million people applied for tickets, the band's first headline show in 27 years was seen only by the 18,000 ticket holders who were fortunate enough to have secured seats through the worldwide lottery.
The film of "Celebration Day" saw a worldwide theatrical release by Omniverse Vision on 1,500 screens in over 40 territories on October 17.
"Celebration Day" will then be available in multiple video and audio formats on November 19 from Swan Song/Atlantic Records. Available for pre-order now, the details on all configurations of "Celebration Day" are listed below.
* Standard Editions – 1-DVD/2-CD set and 1-Blu-ray/2-CD set

* Digital Edition – Audio will be available at all digital retail outlets
A "Celebration Day" widget is available below.
LED ZEPPELIN met with the press on September 21 in London to launch "Celebration Day". The band was adamant about not addressing any reunion rumors — despite the fact that they were promoting a film of their last reunion. When asked if the band would be performing together again, Jimmy Page told a reporter: "Let me ask you a question. Have you seen the film? Did you enjoy it? Then we've done our job, haven't we?" When asked if ZEPPELIN would "do it again," Plant cracked: "With you?"
Page told the press that he was thrilled with Jason Bonham's performance filling in for his late father, John Bonham, saying, "Jason was absolutely monumental. From the very first rehearsal right through to the O2." Plant added: "It was appropriate and it was wonderful and also his vigor was so fantastic too. He drove us, y'know? It was peculiar and strange at times, but at the same time it was very rewarding for all of us."
Plant went on to talk about the band's relationship these days: "We don't see each other too often, but we've just spent about an hour together. . .and no sooner we start talking, than some little innuendo creeps in. It's just what happens when you've spent a lot of time together."
When asked why it took five years for the 2007 reunion concert to see the light of day, John Paul Jones joked: "Five years is like five minutes in ZEPPELIN time."

SOUNDGARDEN: 'Non-State Actor' Lyric Video, New Interview Posted OnlineThe lyric video for the song "Non-State Actor" from reunited grunge legends SOUNDGARDEN can be seen below. Also available is a video interview with SOUNDGARDEN singer Chris Cornell and drummer Matt Cameron.
As previously reported, SOUNDGARDEN will add five bonus tracks to the Best Buy deluxe edition of its upcoming album, "King Animal". The cuts will be demo versions of the songs "Black Saturday", "Worse Dreams", "By Crooked Steps", "Bones Of Birds" and "A Thousand Days Before", all of which appear in finished form on the main 13-song album. "King Animal" is the first collection of all-new material from SOUNDGARDEN in 16 years, and first since the group reunited in 2010.
"King Animal" track listing:
01. Been Away Too Long
02. Non-State Actor
03. By Crooked Steps
04. A Thousand Days Before
05. Blood On The Valley Floor
06. Bones Of Birds
07. Taree
08. Attrition
09. Black Saturday
10. Halfway There
11. Worse Dreams
12. Eyelid's Mouth
13. Rowing
Cameron told The Pulse Of Radio two things that he thinks made SOUNDGARDEN special then and now: "In our scene up here in the Northwest in the '80s and '90s, we were sometimes considered to be the RUSH of Seattle, just because we could sort of play our instruments maybe better than most bands. [laughs] We never really tried to flaunt any musical chops, but we always had pretty diverse tastes. We had a lot of really cool influences amongst ourselves that we tried to infuse in the music."
"King Animal" is due out on November 13.
The vocalist added that he was surprised that SOUNDGARDEN seems poised to once again fill a void for "real" rock music, saying, "I always expected that after we broke up or even maybe before we broke up that there should be or would be some very vital scene, numerous interesting rock bands that are kind of taking the history of rock music and making it their own."
