OZZY And SHARON OSBOURNE Reportedly Hit With New Tax LienAccording to TMZ.com, Ozzy and his wife/manager Sharon Osbourne have been hit with a new tax lien — this time for more than $357,000.
The lien, filed this week in Los Angeles, shows the couple still owes $357,070.62 in unpaid federal income taxes from 2007.
It was reported earlier in the month that the IRS placed a lien on the house belonging to Sharon and Ozzy — who reportedly owed $718,948 from 2008 and $1.024 million from 2009.
Speaking about the debt on "The Talk" (see video below), the daytime U.S. television show on which she appears as a panelist, Sharon Osbourne admitted she had failed to take care of her family business.
"The last couple of years, I have really been concentrating on myself — because I think I love myself a little bit too much — and not taking care of business,' she said.
"I get a phone call from [gossip web site] TMZ telling me there's a lien on my house and I'm like 'Oh dear. I'd better call my accountant.'
"He goes 'I didn't know that. Is there?' I'm like, 'Well, if you don't know, who the hell is going to know?'
"I got really upset with my accountant, and then I sat back and I thought 'If I'm not invested in my money, or my kids' money, or my husband's money, why should he?'
"He did say he's to blame, but I'm to blame because I didn't care enough. I was too involved in myself. I canceled two meetings with him over the last 18 months because I was way too busy. And the bottom line is, it stops with me. So I have to face up, be a big woman and realize I'm not Mrs. Wonderful.
"So it's done and dealt with and I can't say 'it was that person, it was that person, it wasn't me.' The buck stops with me, so here I am."
Sharon had a tax lien issue in 2009 when she owed $23,000 to the State of California for the 2007 tax year.
Ozzy and Sharon recently listed their Malibu beach house on the market for $10 million.
The 4,500-square-foot, three-story oceanfront residence has five bedrooms and five bathrooms, along with a library, office, hot tub, walk-in closets and a backyard with a view of the Pacific Ocean.
The couple bought the house in March of 2003 for $5.1 million and first placed it on the market in 2006 for $14 million, with the place going on and off sale several times since then.
It's also available for rent starting at $40,000 per month. 1

BEHEMOTH\'s NERGAL Performs With FIELDS OF THE NEPHILIM In Katowice; Video AvailableGuitarist/vocalist Adam "Nergal" Darski of Polish extreme metallers BEHEMOTH joined the long-running English gothic rock band FIELDS OF THE NEPHILIM on stage this past Friday night (May 6) in Katowice, Poland to perform the song "Penetration". This marked Nergal's first performance since undergoing a bone marrow transplant last December. He says, "I don't remember when the last time I was THAT nervous. First of all, I had to join one of my favorite bands ever, true legends, FIELDS OF THE NEPHILIM… Secondly, I'm still not 100% in shape so I didn't know how my body would react. I would risk saying I'm maybe 60% of what I used to be… but still progressing!
"Anyway, we did a song 'Penetration' together with Carl McCoy and Co.
"What a blast, I have to tell you. I had a serious adrenaline rush and it was such a boost of energy I can't even describe. My mouth dried out after 30 seconds so I could hardly breathe but the energy wouldn't let me stop. I was carried away. The moment I saw the crowd, I felt this double-bass pounding underneath my feet… I was in trance.
"I'm counting days 'till we come back with BEHEMOTH full-time. Five months to go…huh."
Video footage of Nergal's appearance with FIELDS OF THE NEPHILIM can be viewed below.
BEHEMOTH will return to the live stage in October — marking the band's first public appearances since Nergal was diagnosed with leukemia last August.
In a recent interview with Metal Sucks, Nergal stated about BEHEMOTH's upcoming touring activities, "The October shows are just to get warmed up. Then we might do some shows in Australia and Asia — that's the plan. Then the priority for early 2012 is a European tour, then shortly after that, a U.S. tour. This is our top priority for the next year and we're going to fucking do it!"
He added, "Just wait and see us on the stage. You'll see. I'm not going to reveal anything about it, but we … It's not gonna just be BEHEMOTH. It's not like time stood still for us, like we were frozen in time and are just going to appear with the same entourage and in the same outfits. No. We're going to come back, we want to remind people of our existence obviously, but we want to make a fucking impact, an impression. We want to show them that, hey, we are still fucking evolving. We're not just hoping that you'll come to see us because I was sick. Fuck that. I'll be better soon and we're going to deliver!"
Speaking to Revolver magazine last month, Nergal said, "We just decided to play some so-called comeback shows in Poland just to warm up and see how we feel, just to be onstage again together. And I really hope that it's going to turn out great and that it's going to cause other tours and stuff. We have plans until the summer of next year. We already have some cool offers. We're talking to our agents. There's some really, really cool ideas. I don't want to reveal anything yet, but once we're done with October shows, and we feel good about it, and there's chemistry onstage, we definitely want to continue the 'Evangelion' touring cycle. There's still some markets we didn't even touch. We've done over 100 shows so far to 'Evangelion'. We're going to do another 100 at least, and then we can focus on the next record.
"To be honest, we can't wait to hit the stage again. I'm so fucking anxious. I'm so excited, so psyched about it. I have dreams about coming back onstage. I dream about BEHEMOTH shows. It's insane, I know, but I can't tell you how much it's a relief to the band and how much it means to us." 8

SHRAPHEAD To Release Debut Album In June; Details RevealedSHRAPHEAD started up in August of 2004 in Eidskog, Norway. The band was put together by two local musicians, Mohamed Dyani and William Fossheim, who were interested in jamming and making music.
Later that year singer Jo Johnsrud and guitarist Robert Olsen joined the band. They would soon be introduced to the Norwegian live scene and played many gigs across Norway. They also recorded their Ageless EP and other various demos at this time.
In 2006 Shraphead embarked on a small Norwegian tour with another band called CORTEZ. The response was great, so they decided that this was something they wanted to fully commit to. Shortly thereafter a small underground fan base emerged and it pushed the members to continue to work hard with their own style of melodic, modern thrash-inspired metal.
In 2007 they had a small line-up change and they parted ways with Robert and welcomed guitarist Petter Murud. It was around this period the music really started to evolve and get stronger. Improved musicianship and heartfelt dedication could easily be heard in their self titled demo recorded in 2007. The feedback from metal magazines, webzines and radio stations was amazing.
Another line-up change soon followed. Petter quit and in came Nils-Christer Stenmyren. In 2009, the band began writing all the songs for their debut album. It took a long time, but instead of rushing creativity, perfection was an essential factor.
2011 brings about the release of Shraphead's debut album, Blind & Seduced. It was recorded in Hamar with Christian Liljan and Fredrik Ryberg and mixed and mastered by Daniel Bergstrand in Uppsala. The inspiration for the title comes from society, about how you as a child are exposed to such an indoctrination of false information about life and death. The album has 13 tracks, including a ballad and an instrumental. With Blind & Seduced, Shraphead are ready to make their mark on today's metal scene.
The album is due for release on June 28th via Metalville Records.

HAMMERFALL Drummer Says Threat Of Legal Action Led To Cover Artwork ChangeEspyRock recently conducted an interview with drummer Anders Johansson of Swedish metallers HAMMERFALL. A couple of excerpts from the chat follow below.
EspyRock: You have been working with [producer] Charlie Bauerfeind for a number of years with your albums and now [on the new HAMMERFALL album "Infected"] you have switched to James Michael. Was there any significant reason for the change and what do you think he brought to the table?
Anders: I think we felt he was a bit too perfect and that he wanted things too nice. He was a talented and hard-working man, though, he just had a different idea from me about the feel of the music. I remember feeling that in the studio, when recording with him and Oscar [Dronjak, guitar] that they were both being hard-headed, I was just a robot playing more or less a basic beat. No input was wanted from me; I just went in and did exactly what they wanted but now it was more free and loose. I played what I personally wanted (well, sometimes, of course, I played what Oscar wanted… it is, after all, his band).
EspyRock: The artwork for the album has stirred up a lot of controversy, what is the story behind the legal actions and reception of the biohazard logo?
Anders: Well, again I disagreed with everyone else. But I'm just the drummer :-) We first had a cover with [the HAMMERFALL mascot] Hector and I really liked it but for some reason they didn't and then a bunch of things happened. I remember thinking when I first saw the biohazard cover, "Oh, no. It looks like the band BIOHAZARD made an album called HAMMERFALL!" Then they added these hands after someone from the BIOHAZARD band freaked out and threatened to sue HAMMERFALL. Luckily the music is good and maybe in the end that will be all right, I think so anyway. Maybe it was time to get rid of the same old stuff as I thought the previous albums all kind of looked the same but in the end hopefully it will be all good.
EspyRock: The departure of your mascot Hector which has caused a little backlash from fans. Why did you decide to remove him?
Anders: It was all because they didn't like the cover with him. They thought he looked like a sissy as we had some guy posing with the helmet, it was a real photo. I liked it though. Maybe they were right…what if Hector looked like a sissy? It'll be all OK in the end since it's a strong album.
EspyRock: This is your eighth studio album release on Nuclear Blast. How good has it been having the one home for so long which has treated you more like a family for your releases?
Anders: Without Nuclear Blast we wouldn't be here. They are a huge reason HAMMERFALL is where HAMMERFALL is today. 7

THE QUILL Signs With METALVILLESweden's THE QUILL has inked a deal with Metalville for the release of the band's new album, "Full Circle". Due on June 24, the CD "is packed with heavy rock firmly rooted in the Seventies but vibrant and updated rather than retro," according to a press release. "Yes, there's a new twist to the sound. Less is more, if you will. The songs are sharp, direct and catchy, built around big riffs, big grooves and big hooks. Just check out 'Sleeping With Your Enemy' and try to get that chorus out of your head. Surrender to the up-tempo outburst of energy that is 'Medicine'. And physically feel how 'Bring It On' simply rocks like a motherfucker. Very much classic rock and yet contemporary in the FOO FIGHTERS / QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE vein. Needless to say, THE QUILL is a band reborn."
"Full Circle" was mixed by songwriter/producer/artist Chris Laney (real name: Ulf Larsson).
Three new songs from THE QUILL — "Bring It On", "Medicine" and "Sleeping With The Enemy" — are available for streaming using the ReverbNation TuneWidget below (click on "Songs" tab).
With the touring cycle for THE QUILL's fifth album, "In Triumph", completed, the band and singer Magnus Ekwall parted ways and THE QUILL was put on the backburner. Drummer Jolle Atlagic joined now-defunct Finnish glam legends HANOI ROCKS — touring Europe and Japan in the process — and also did a stint in THE REAL MCCOY band alongside FOO FIGHTERS guitarist Chris Shiflett. Christian Carlsson (guitar) and Robert Triches (bass) also kept busy with other projects. In early 2010, it was THE QUILL time again. Songs were written and Magz Arnar filled the vacant vocalist spot. It was a perfect match. The versatile singer has heaps of energy and a powerful voice that fits THE QUILL like a glove. Magz has the required range to sing the old stuff but also a rawness that the band was looking for.

DEATH\'s Legendary \'Human\' Album To Be Reissued; Previously Unseen Studio Footage Available DEATH's legendary fourth album, "Human", will mark its 20th anniversary with an official reissue on June 21 in North America (June 27 internationally) via Relapse Records. The LP was entirely remixed by longtime DEATH producer Jim Morris and remastered by Alan Douches (MASTODON, CONVERGE, MISFITS). This special 20th-anniversary edition of the album will come complete with expanded packaging featuring liner notes from Morris as well as former DEATH/current CYNIC guitarist Paul Masvidal and over an hour of newly unearthed, previously unreleased early demo tracks.
"Human" will be available on two- and three-disc sets as well as digitally.
Commented Morris (pictured below): "[This was] an awesome experience for me." He added, "We were contacted by Chuck Schuldiner's intellectual property lawyer, Eric Greif, the former manager of DEATH."
Added Eric Greif: "The former DEATH guys Paul Masvidal (guitar), Sean Reinert (drums) and Steve DiGiorgio (bass) are all 'ecstatic' about the prospect of a heavier mix, where all the instruments can be heard and modern technology utilized. Jim said he took into account everything he and Chuck agreed upon during the making of 'Symbolic' (1995) and 'The Sound Of Perseverance' (1998) as his guide for what he believed Chuck would want from such a remix. I myself am thrilled."
CD pre-orders are being accepted now at this location (digitally via iTunes).
"Human" is the best-selling DEATH album of the SoundScan era, having shifted around 95,000 copies in the United States since its October 1991 release.
Previously unreleased footage of DEATH during the original May 1991 "Human" mixing sessions at Morrisound studios in Tampa, Florida can be viewed in three parts below. 14

AC/DC To Release New Album \'Within The Next Couple Of Years\'AC/DC guitarist Angus Young revealed at the band's "Live At River Plate" DVD premiere last night (Friday, May 6) at the Hammersmith Apollo in London, England that there are plans for the group to release a new studio album "within the next couple of years. He said, "Well, at some point we'll be touring again once we get a new album out, which will hopefully be within the next couple of years."
When asked about whether AC/DC could top its "Black Ice" world tour — which saw the band play to more than five million fans and visit 108 cities in 20 months — he replied, "Yeah, definitely." Vocalist Brian Johnson added, "We'll try to make the next tour even better, we'll bloody try."
AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd was unable to attend last night's event because "his house [in New Zealand] got hit by a storm," according to Johnson. 6

SEPULTURA: \'Kairos\' Artwork UnveiledBrazilian/American thrashers SEPULTURA will release their new album, "Kairos" (an ancient Greek word signifying a time in between, a moment of undetermined period of time in which something special happens) on June 24 in Europe and July 12 in North America via Nuclear Blast Records. The artwork for the CD was created by Erich Sayers, a Los Angeles-based freelance digital artist and photographer whom SEPULTURA first met at the band's recent concert at the House Of Blues in West Hollywood, California.
Commented Sayers: "I started by researching 'Kairos' for images and meaning as soon as the band gave me the title.
"'Kairos' is about time, the actions we take, and the positive or negative repercussions that follow. I knew the image would have wings. I also knew I would somehow need to represent time, but in a way that is timeless.
"Speaking with Andreas [Kisser, guitar], he had an idea for a gel skull. I was uncertain how I would make that happen, but I did and it is unique.
"Actions and their repercussions are represented by the arms, transitioning from the strong healthy arm on top and the decrepit hand below. The background is made from a couple of photos I took on a recent trip to Morocco. They give the composition a mystical quality.
"It was an honor for me to work with SEPULTURA. I am a longtime fan of this legendary band."
Added Kisser: "We were very lucky choosing the artist to design the cover of 'Kairos'. His name is Erich Sayers and we met him backstage at a SEPULTURA concert in Los Angeles last January. He left us his card and when we checked his website we were very impressed by his awesome work. I explained to him the concept of 'Kairos' and he fastly captured what we wanted, sending us ideas in that same week. He's a very talented guy who knew how to draw the concept of the album.
"The cover is different from all the other covers we did in the past but it's 'old school' at the same time, like the album itself. We're very happy with the result." 19

EVILE: New Album Title, Concept Revealed British thrashers EVILE have set "Five Serpents' Teeth" as the title of their new album, due on August 29 via Earache Records. The CD was recorded at Parlour Studios in Kettering, U.K., with producer Russ Russell (NAPALM DEATH, DIMMU BORGIR), who also worked on the band's previous CD, 2009's "Infected Nations".
EVILE vocalist and rhythm guitarist Matt Drake has recorded a video message for the fans in which he discusses the new album and the concept behind it. Check it out below.
Commented EVILE lead guitarist Ol Drake: "The other day, Russ sent the final masters for the album over. It sounded even better than I expected it to. The past two years of hard work, and the work put in in the studio, have really paid off.
"The few people who've heard the album so far have praised it highly, making me, and us, very proud. The album has such a unique production sound which surprised me; Russ' skills have really shined on this record. It has an old classic sound, while staying huge and menacing.
"Keep an eye out for all things EVILE, as 2011 will be a very busy year for us. See you on A road!" 1

TONY MACALPINE To Release New Self-Titled Solo Album Next MonthLegendary guitar and piano/keyboard virtuoso Tony MacAlpine's new self- titled album, to be released June 21 on Favored Nations, marks a highly-anticipated return to solo work after a prolific decade of output with his bands, including prog-metal-fusion trio PLANET X; Grammy-nominated jazz fusion outfit CAB; power metallers RING OF FIRE; as well as performing keyboard and guitar duties in Steve Vai's double platinum DVD-selling live band "The Breed" from 2001-2006.
"When I set out to write a new album, I quickly realized that my urge to once again create and define myself as a solo artist had returned with a vengeance," said MacAlpine. "This is my strongest album to date. I can't wait to hit the road and play it live."
Recorded in his home studio in Pasadena, California, "Tony MacAlpine" is the musician's 11th solo album. Featuring 12 tracks of guitar-laden progressive instrumental metal — MacAlpine performing seven- and eight-string guitar, keyboards, bass and programming, along with drum legends Virgil Donati (PLANET X, VIRGIL DONATI BAND) on tracks 1, 5, and 10; and Marco Minnemann (ADRIAN BELEW, NECROPHAGIST) on tracks 3, 4, 8 and 12. Bassist Philip Bynoe (STEVE VAI, RING OF FIRE) also appears on track 2. The album was mixed by Ulrich Wild (DEFTONES, STATIC-X, DETHKLOK) and mastered by former chief mastering engineer of A&M Studios, Dave Collins.

DISGORGE Announces New Lineup, Begins Work On Fifth AlbumAmerican death metallers DISGORGE are hard at work on their fifth full-length album, "And The Weak Shall Perish", for a late 2011 release via Unique Leader Records. The band, which had been on hiatus since 2006, is recording the new CD with the following lineup:
* Levi Fuselier - Vocals
* Ricky Myers - Drums
* Erik Lindmark (DEEDS OF FLESH) - Guitar
* Derek Boyer (SUFFOCATION, DECREPIT BIRTH) - Bass
Songtitles set to appear on "And The Weak Shall Perish" include:
* "Through Mutilation Comes Salvation"
* "Of Maggots And Decay"
* "Embalmed In Cryptic Fluid"
* "Plagued By Faith"
* "Saints Of Genocide"
* "Vomiting The Larvae"
* "Erosion Of Mortality"
* "And The Weak Shall Perish"
* "Tomb Of Diabolical Manifestations"
* "Deranged Epidemic" (re-recording)
Commented Myers: "First let me start by apologizing to DISGORGE fans around the world for the long period of time we took off. The passing of [bassist] Ben [Marlin in 2008 following a battle with cancer] hit us all hard and was very difficult to accept.
"When someone passes on that is close to you that you played music with toured and worked with, they become family and I was unable to move on as quickly as others. I could not see myself playing the songs that me, Ben and Diego [Sanchez, guitar] worked so hard on to look over and not to see Ben there playing with us.
"I will never be over the passing of Ben, but I know he would want DISGORGE to move on and that is what we are doing.
"Unfortunately, Diego will not be a part of the new album; he has other projects going on. I have the utmost respect for Diego, he is like a brother to me and he was a huge part of DISGORGE and my life but I must continue what I have known for nineteen years and that is DISGORGE.
"When DISGORGE was formed in 1992, we set out to make the most brutal music we could and nothing will ever change that no matter who is playing the instruments. This album will be no different. It will be some of the sickest and fastest work ever laid down by DISGORGE.
"There will be a lot of questions, so let me start by saying this: Yes, DISGORGE will be touring, and yes, DISGORGE will be playing old songs, songs you haven't seen DISGORGE play before.
"We are all very excited about this and we can't wait for fans to be gutted once again." 2
