According to KTNV.com, MÖTLEY CRÜE singer Vince Neil will plead guilty to a drunken driving charge on January 26 and spend two weeks in a Las Vegas jail. He will surrender on February 15 and will serve 15 days in the Clark County Detention Center, followed by another 15 days of house arrest.

"I have recognized that you can't drink and drive at all," Neil said in a statement released Tuesday. "I take full responsibility for my actions and will learn from this experience."

Neil failed three field sobriety tests and had a blood-alcohol level almost three times the legal limit during his June 27, 2010 Las Vegas arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

THE BLACK DOTS OF DEATH has confirmed the final track listing for its upcoming debut album, "Ever Since We Were Children", which will now feature the song "I Am Lost".

Westerville, Ohio's THE CRIMSON ARMADA has inked a deal with Artery Recordings, the joint venture between The Artery Foundation and Razor & Tie. The band will hit the studio this spring with producer Brian Hood (A PLEA FOR PURGING, HOPE FOR THE DYING) to record the follow-up to 2009's "Guardians", entitled "Conviction", for a summer release.

The Tracii Guns-led version of L.A. GUNS will unplug for a very special, one-off event on February 19 at the world-famous The Hotel Café in Los Angeles, California. The concert will be recorded for the band's first-ever live acoustic album, "Acoustic Gypsy Live", to be released later in the year. In addition to playing acoustic versions of their classic hits, the members of L.A. GUNS will perform two brand new, never-before-heard songs. To mark the occasion, original L.A. The Tracii Guns-led version of L.A. GUNS recently inked a deal with the Steve Vai-owned label Favored Nations/Jibboom, which is Favored Nations Entertainment's rock/metal division.

Favored Nations/Jibboom reissued the 1999 L.A. GUNS album "Shrinking Violet" last year. The LP was completely repackaged with new artwork and five brand new, never-before-heard, live bonus tracks.

Swedish/German extreme metallers ARCH ENEMY have set "Khaos Legions" as the title of their new album, due in May via Century Media Records. The CD is currently being recorded at Sweet Spot Studio in the south of Sweden with engineer Rickard Bengtsson (who produced 2005's "Doomsday Machine").

Commented ARCH ENEMY drummer Daniel Erlandsson: "We had a very inspiring and creative time writing this album. I think this is definitely evident when listening to the new songs. There's tons of variation in the material, ranging all the way from very melodic to extremely heavy.

„We're very proud to be able to present our new cover for our upcoming album 'Metamorphosis', as well as a brand new Mercenary-logo!

There's of course a lot of obvious (and indeed slightly cheesy) self-referential symbolism regarding the rebirth of the band in the cover artwork. But apart from that we felt that the motive of a phoenix was a really fitting expression of many of René's lyrical themes on the album, as they deal with personal and existential crisis, overcoming personal obstacles and how we can sometimes redefine ourselves in the proces of taking responsibility for altering the conditions of our very lives. This idea of personal freedom can be a very frightening thought for some, but it's actually a message of hope and optimism - we can always take control of our lives and free ourselves of inner or outer constraints, or at least take pride in the struggle to do so.

(Okay, dropping all the intellectual pretense, we just liked the artwork because it was freaking bird on fire - how cool is that!?)

On a serious note, though, we also felt that a simple, raw and iconic visual theme would support the musical direction of the new album. We feel that the songs are our strongest ever, they're no-bullshit, focused and straight to the point, and our good friend Don G really nailed these concepts with his artwork.

Finally, we have also been searching for a new logo for many years (also before the recent changes in line-up) but we never felt that we found a good enough alternative until now. With the direction of the new line-up and the new album, we not only felt that we had as good an occasion as any, but we also really liked the idea of a less polished, more raw logo which could reflect the changes in musical expression.

"The EP is done, mixed, mastered, laid out, ready to rock. Not sure when it will be out, but I'm guessing March or April? It's been too damned long, but what can you do?

P4 is underway. Drums were recorded last summer, before a rash of baby births put Pharaoh and its extended family into deep freeze for a while. But, the kids've gotta learn about metal sooner or later, so it's back on the horse for us. Rhythm guitars were tracked this past weekend, and in an unusually quick turnaround for this band, vocal sessions begin this coming weekend. That said, there is a LOT to be done yet: clean and acoustic guitars, melody guitars, solos, bass, and of course singing, so we're not going to be done anytime soon, but the album will definitely come out in 2011, probably in the early fall (September would be nice.) And then, god-willing, we might actually do a proper US tour. But, don't hold your breath for that one. Keep your fingers crossed, if you're gonna do anything."

Die beiden FIREWIND Musiker Bob Katsionis und Mark Cross haben 2009 gemeinsam mit dem TALON Sänger Chandler Mogel die Band OUTLOUD gegründet. Die beiden weiteren Member der Band sind Gitarrist Tony Kash und Bassist Jason Mercury. Die Band hat einen Deal mit FRONTIERS RECORDS unterschrieben und das Debut Album "We'll Rock You To Hell and Back Again" wurde am 28. August 2009 in Europa veröffentlicht.
