Polish extreme metallers BEHEMOTH will release their secondr DVD, "Evangelia Heretika", on November 9. Metal Blade Records has created a landing page for the set, featuring a pre-order for the release, bundle offers — including the limited-edition pressing of the band's highly successful album "Evangelion" on vinyl — and the first video clip taken from the DVD to give fans a sneak peek of the content.

Floridian extreme metallers INFERNAEON recently filmed a video for their cover of METALLICA's "Creeping Death" with director (and "Jackass" collaborator) Mike "The King Of Rock N Roll Debauchery" Busey at his compound in Florida. The clip features appearances by GWAR frontman Oderus Urungus (who provided guest vocals on the track on the album), Penthouse Pet Jessica Walker, snakes, undead women, pyrotechnics and more.

In other news, INFERNAEON has parted ways with Jeramie Kling and has replaced him with former INTO ETERNITY drummer Adam Sagan.

Commented INFERNAEON frontman Brian Werner: "We loved working with Jeramie; he is a great friend and an even better drummer. He was an integral part of the band for the last two years and we shared some great time together. We knew he wasn't going to be around after the album was recorded but we still wanted him on the album because, in our opinion, he paid his dues touring with us for the last two years and he earned his spot on the album. The man has a family with kids and can't make the sacrifices necessary to tour as much as we would need him to push this new album. We wish him nothing but the best of luck and we are all still the best of friends. We recruited Adam Sagan, who used to play for INTO ETERNITY, and has been one of my closest personal friends going on thirteen years. He is an incredible drummer and even cooler person and is 100% dedicated to being a permanent member of this band and we couldn't have asked for a better replacement!"

DREAM THEATER bassist John Myung, who was recently honored with MusicRadar.com's "Greatest Bassist Of All Time" award (beating such legends as Paul McCartney, James Jamerson, John Entwhistle, and even some of his personal heroes, such as Chris Squire, Geddy Lee, Steve Harris), spoke to MusicRadar.com about his huge bass poll win, his relationship with fans and his practice routine and the future of DREAM THEATER without Mike Portnoy. A couple of excerpts from the chat follow below.

MusicRadar.com: More so than any other member, you're bound to be impacted by a new drummer — after all, the rhythm section is the bedrock of a group. Are you excited to play with somebody new?

Myung: "I'd say we're all impacted, because we all interact with the rhythms. So this isn't going to affect me more than anybody else, really. Creatively, the DREAM THEATER process has always been extremely collaborative — there's always been plenty of input from everybody — so when working with somebody new, we're going to have to look for those common ground points that we have. A new member will be influential, no doubt. Hopefully, new directions will open up. I think it can be cool."

MusicRadar.com: It has been suggested that Mike may change his mind in a year or so, that he might want to rejoin. If so, would you welcome him back with open arms, or do you see this as a necessary, clean break?

Myung: "Anything is possible. But right now, the band is focused on finding a new member to get in the studio with. We want to make a great record that we're happy with and have a great next tour. That's what we do, and that's what we're looking at."

MusicRadar.com: The "Greatest Bassist Of All Time." That's quite an honor — and a stunning testament to the devotion of your fans. But how do you even respond to such a title? Is it all too overwhelming?

Myung: "It definitely an honor. I view it as a social endorsement that reflects on a lot of different things, from the band I'm in to the records we've put out to the basses I play. But it's quite an honor, absolutely, one which tells me I'm on the right path. My gratitude goes out to everyone who voted. But I, in no way, feel that it's true in the sense of the title of the award, because there's so many great players all over the world who contribute amazing music. So, even though I'm deeply flattered and appreciative, let's say that it's taken with a bit of objectivity."

MusicRadar.com: How do you feel about your relationship with your fans? Obviously, they hold you in high regard. Do you feel a sense of duty to please them, or do you feel that, as an artist, you have only yourself to answer to?

Myung: "You know, there's a lot of people reaching out to me, and when that happens, when you get the kind of positive reinforcement that I get, it's bound to make you feel good, and it's definitely going to push you to do your best. Moving forward, I think all I can do is put my instincts to work and do my best and hope that I'm on the same page as everyone else. The fact that there's an audience out there that accepts what I do is a huge source of stimulation, motivation and energy. I wouldn't be where I am without them. The audience is a big part of this whole thing. At the same time, yes, I have to be myself because that's how it all began. So what I do is, I take in the energy from the fans, but I have to give what I have inside me and push it outward — if that makes any sense." [laughs]

In 1989 BLACK SABBATH guitarist Tony Iommi and DEEP PURPLE singer Ian Gillan were just a few names in a long list of talent involved in the recording of the DEEP PURPLE track "Smoke on The Water". This song was re-recorded to raise money for those affected by the Leninakan earthquake that struck Armenia in 1988.

In October of last year both Tony and Ian traveled to Armenia to see how the funds raised had helped the local community. On their trip they visited a music school only to find it being run out of temporary accommodation, with its only location not having been rebuilt 20 years after the earthquake had struck.

Next week Tony and Ian will be heading back into the studio, joined by keyboardist Jon Lord (DEEP PURPLE, WHITESNAKE) and drummer Nicko McBrain (IRON MAIDEN) to record a new track to raise money to rebuild the Armenian music school.

In October 2009, Gillan and Iommi were awarded the Orders Of Honor — which were delivered to them by Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan — for the Armenia Grateful To Rock program (see video below). The objective of the program, was to express gratitude to those musicians who 20 years ago participated in the Rock Aid Armenia.

According to U.K.'s Rock Sound, MONSTER MAGNET mainman Dave Wyndorf has launched his own record label dubbed Studio 13. Although the imprint will initially focus on releasing seven-inch singles and accompanying download cards featuring MONSTER MAGNET-related music, the label will eventually consider adding other artists to its roster.

"Right now it's not about making tons of money; it's making a cool little place where I can put out my music," said Wyndorf. "In the land between demos and giant finished rock records, there is a cool area, an area where the ideas are fresh and mistakes are there but they are good mistakes. There is really something special about material that is fresh out of the head onto a tape machine and right out the door."

Studio 13's first release — to be made available on the band's forthcoming European tour — will be a reworked version of "Superjudge" — the title track of MONSTER MAGNET's 1993 album — and a song called "She Digs That Hole", which Dave describes as a "demented psychedelic love song about a gypsy women who picks up girls for the band to fuck."

Massachusetts metallers SHADOWS FALL will release a new concert DVD, "Madness In Manila: Shadows Fall Live In The Philippines 2009", on October 26 via Everblack Industries/Ferret Music. The set will include over 60 minutes of footage that was shot on April 30, 2009 at the Pulp Summer Slam in Manila, Philippines as well as a live audio CD.

Paragon Records will unleash the third album from DIMENTIANON, New York’s masters of chaotic metal, on October 19. Entitled "Collapse The Void", the CD epitomizes the turbulent mixture of black, death and doom metal that has become the band's trademark style.

DIMENTIANON has been a force in New York City's extreme metal scene since its formation in 1995, the band then known as THE FORGOTTEN. Polish extreme metallers HATE have completed work on their new album, "Erebos", for a November 2010 European release via Listenable Records. The CD, which will be made available in North America in January 2011 as an "extended version" featuring bonus live material, was recorded at Hertz Studio in Bialystok, Poland with producers Slawek and Wojtek Wieslawski (DECAPITATED, VADER).

"Erebos", which comes from ancient Greek and means literally "deep darkness" or shadow, will contain ten new songs, which are said to be a fusion of blackened death metal, industrial and ambient sounds, deathcore and heavy metal.

U.S. metal veterans RIOT have once again reunited with Tony Moore — only nine months after announcing that they were parting ways with the vocalist over "differences about how to proceed with the future of the band."

RIOT guitarist Mark Reale — who fell down a few weeks back and twisted his leg bad enough to where he had to go to the doctor — stated, "It sucks this happen with me because, as reported, we are moving forward with Tony Moore on vocals. He came up and burned the four tracks we had ready for him and there's a lot more great tones to choose from! I can't wait to get going again as soon as possible. Tony sounds great!"

RIOT is currently writing material for a new studio album, which is tentatively set to be released in 2011. One of the new songs, "Wings Are For Angels", was performed for the first time at the Sweden Rock Festival on June 6, 2009.

"Greed Is Blind", the new video from the Polish female-fronted traditional heavy metal act CRYSTAL VIPER, can be viewed below. The track comes off the band's new album, "Legends", which is scheduled for release on October 22 via AFM Records. As the title suggests, all the lyrics on the CD are based on the original Polish legends from the middle ages. The effort was recorded and mixed at the MP Studio in Poland, with engineer Mariusz Pietka and producer Bart Gabriel. The CD cover artwork, which can be viewed below, was painted by the French artist Chris Moyen, who has previously worked with SLAYER, TRIVIUM, BEHERIT and BLASPHEMY.

UNDERCROFT, the Chilean death/thrash metal band now transplanted to Germany, has finished mixing and mastering its sixth full-length album, "Ruins Of Gomorrah", with producer Daniel Bergstrand (MESHUGGAH, DARK FUNERAL, LORD BELIAL, IN FLAMES, BEHEMOTH, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, DARKANE, SATARIEL) at his Dug Out Productions in Uppsala, Sweden.

A brand new UNDERCROFT single is being made available for free download via the band's MySpace page.

When asked about the current condition of Adam "Nergal" Darski, the 33-year-old guitarist/vocalist from BEHEMOTH, who was recently diagnosed with a life-threatening form of leukemia, a cancer of blood-forming tissues of the bone marrow, Orion said, "Well, he's [been] in great spirits since the very beginning of this whole situation. His attitude is... well, just positive. The way he's behaving is like he had a flu; it just takes a little longer to heal. So he's still in the hospital. He's undergoing chemotherapy and it's gonan take another few months for all these chemos. Then there is a bone-marrow transplant possible either at the end of this year or at the beginning of next year, but we still don't have a donor for him. So we're still encouraging people to register in all these bone-marrow banks. But he's doing great. We're all 100 percent sure that he's gonna go through it stronger than ever. All I can do is just cross fingers. And we're still in touch. He's not, like, separated from the people; we see each other, we talk on the phone, he's all the time working and sitting in front of the computer. So he's doing what he was always doing besides being on tour. So he's working with the band and his attitude is great and he's in good spirits."

Guitarist Stefan Weinerhall of the Swedish metal band FALCONER has issued the following update:

"Recording time is coming up. Most songs [for the next FALCONER album] are written and rehearsed soon as the studio time is drawing nearer, starting to feel a bit stressed!! The album will be mixed in the end of January so I'd guess we're up for a late spring release.

"The title of the new album will be 'Armod' and will be completely sung in Swedish except for the bonus tracks that will simply be English versions of the best (according to us) new songs.

"This time we have concentrated on the traditional folk side of our music including more traditional folk songs (the majority of the material is still our own), more fiddles and flutes.

"Be calm, the horrid sound of accordions will firmly be left behind!!

"This is a way to finally devoting an entire album to the influences and getting that out of our system, so to speak, and to do the thing some have asked for during ten years. This is not the new direction of us but just the sound of THIS album.

"We are prepared for nagging about lack of speed and the full use of the Swedish language and, of course, the cynical opinions that we lack inspiration and thus use more traditional folk songs.

"The next time we'll take another step; I wonder what that can be."

Polish death metal quintet CALM HATCHERY, which features past and present members of DEAD INFECTION and TEHACE, have finished putting final touches on their second album, entitled Sacrilege Of Humanity, due out November 15th through their new deal with Selfmadegod. The new album was recorded at Hertz Studio in Bialystok and supervised by Wieslawscy Bros (BEHEMOTH, VADER, HATE). Cover artwork is being designed by Mentalporn (DEATHSTARS, Behemoth).

Guitar player Huzar comments on the album: "We put all passion and determination from our hearts into this music. Our band went through some hard time during last year, but the faith in what we’re doing and the need to create music was the reason that our music grew mature. One thing can be said for sure: the music we offer these days is full of emotions and let it be the keynote of upcoming album. It’s hard to be original these days and we do not pretend to be – we’re not afraid to admit it and we’ll accept all comparisons. I’d like to encourage you to listen to our new songs."
