The track comes off the group's third full-length album, "Skepsis", which is scheduled for release on February 2, 2010 via Prosthetic Records. "Skepsis" is the first THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD album to feature new vocalist Danny Rodriguez, drummer Mike Ranne and guitarist Chris "Hank" Henckel.
Commented guitarist Justin Longshore: "Our new record, 'Skepsis', finally captures the sound we've always envisioned. We really wanted to raise the bar with this one but also keep the consistency that THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD is known for. Overall, everyone has become better at their instruments and it really shows on the record. I have no doubt in my mind that new and old fans of the band will be pleased when they hear it!"

NODE To Release New Album In JanuaryItalian extreme metallers NODE will release their new album, "In The End Everything Is A Gag", in January 2010 on Scarlet Records. The CD was mastered by Göran Finnberg (THE HAUNTED, OPETH, DARK TRANQUILLITY, IN FLAMES) at the Mastering Room in Sweden. Artwork duties were handled by Seldon Hunt (NEUROSIS, ISIS, THE OCEAN).
According to a press release, "In The End Everything Is A Gag" can be described as a mix of all the band's influences, with a fresh, modern approach which has drawn comparisons to Sweden's MESHUGGAH.
With the addition of singer Beppe "Rex" Caruso and guitarist Andrea "Attila" Caniato, NODE is now, for the first time, a killer five-piece: more technical, powerful and focused than ever!
NODE's fourth album, "As God Kills", was released in May 2006 via Germany's Massacre Records. 1

BRAINSTORM Frontman Comments On New Best Of Compilation, Heading Back To The Studio With SYMPHORCEBRAINSTORM frontman Andy B. Franck has checked in with the following update in the waked of their recent European tour supporting PRIMAL FEAR:
"Holy shit, I have no idea where to start...
First of all I'd like to thank you all so much for the great support over the last four weeks. I think we all expected a lot but what what happened was just way beyond our expectations. What a response! Awesome! Thank you so much! Brainiacs...YOU ROCK!
So, as many of you have already seen we have also released a brand new Best Of CD on Metal Blade Records. Just Highs No Lows marks the end of a chapter and is a really cool double CD, featuring tons o' pictures and Todde and me added some liner notes to all our albums so far. For all our die hard fans, it's more than just a compilation. And for the new ones, it's your first ticket to mayhem... followed by the new shit on Memorial Roots. Hahaha!
So, what next? Right now we're talking about many more shows for the spring and summer of 2010. So looks like we'll see us again, huh?
In December I'll start recording the new SYMPHORCE album. Yes, it's true. Many have asked me but here's the final answer: there will be a new album! Oh, and yes, it's the same line up! Same dickheads you know since years: Cede, Markus, Dennis and Steffen! Really lookin' forward to that!
But now Brainstorm's calling.... another tour and festivals in 2010.
See you on the Memorial Roads 2010! Be there!"
Best,
Andy 1

BON JOVI Guitarist Richie Sambora Honoured With New Jersey StreetTaragana is reporting:
BON JOVI fans can now walk all over rocker Richie Sambora - the guitarist has been honoured with his own New Jersey street.
He unveiled Richie Sambora Way in his native Woodbridge on Tuesday, November 24th.
The hitmaker earned the street honour for his community work, which includes launching a fundraising programme to sponsor teenager Kelly Mahon, who was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2007. Mahon is a student of Sambora’s old school, Woodbridge High.
The new street leads up to his alma matter.
Sambora has also donated $40,000 (?25,000) to the school to pay for a new weight room, which has been named after his father, Adam, who lost his battle with cancer two years ago.
Speaking at the ceremony, he said: “Use it in good health my friends, and win, win, win, win, win.” 6

LIMP BIZKIT: New Album Title AnnouncedAccording to Kerrang! magazine, LIMP BIZKIT has set "Gold Cobra" as the title of the band's first new studio album with the original lineup since 2000's "Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water", due in early 2010 through Interscope/Polydor. "We will slowly be revealing the meaning of the title over the next few weeks," frontman Fred Durst told the magazine. "Cobras are quite venomous. I wish it were a much longer, more ridiculous title, but 'Gold Cobra' is as ridiculous as we're going to get right now."
Durst recently told NME.com, "I'm having a great feeling about going in and doing [the new LIMP BIZKIT CD], more than I have about any of our albums before. It's not going to be a watered-down version of LIMP BIZKIT, it's going to be a more explosive, more addictive, more driven version of LIMP BIZKIT."
The band's first three albums have sold more than 20 million copies in the U.S. alone, and another 13 million in the rest of the world. 48

As previously reported, in an interview with EPSN, Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford, who recently lent his voice to the game Brütal Legend, talked about the group’s Nintendo gaming.
“In Judas Priest, we actually play the games in the dressing room,” said the singer. "Generally before a show. Just to get in the mood for the excitement and the energy for what we’re gonna do.
“However, at our stately metal god time of life, we tend to do the Nintendo bowling. And the golfing. If there’s any energy left after the show, we get into the boxing mode.” 1

FEAR MY THOUGHTS To Split UpGermany's FEAR MY THOUGHTS have issued the following update:
After thirteen solid years of fun, Fear My Thoughts will now come to an end. It seems like number 13 really stands for bad luck, but here’s to prove you wrong: It’s not bad luck or hard feelings or fights that have led to this decision.
We have just simply come to the conclusion that, for us as individuals, it makes little sense to continue under this banner and within this specific formation. In fact, we have grown apart musically, and have not found a way to bring together all our musical influences, desires and ideas to the point where we were contented and satisfied.
To make it plain, there is no dispute and no arguments going on, we just met at a bar one evening and talked about what is going on, and left the building feeling relieved because we were able to talk about everyone’s individual feelings, thoughts and personal perspectives.
We do still hang out together, partying, drinking beer and being good buddies, just like we have been doing all of these years. In a sense then, no big change for us, haha.
For all our fans out there: We WILL be playing a couple of shows in January and February, in the Southwest of Germany and Switzerland. We’ll promise to keep you updated!
The farewell show will be in Lörrach (between Freiburg and Basel) in mid February 2010. Don’t miss this show, as it will build up to a most intensive and emotional finale! Furthermore, keep your eyes peeled for some future and ongoing projects that we are now working on! Norman is currently drumming his way away with CELTIC FROST-successor TRYPTIKON, set to release their killer debut in early 2010.
Norman is also playing with PIGEON TOE, together with Martin. They have written some really crazy stuff, imagine a mix of MR. BUNGLE, MASTODON and KYUSS.
Bart, Patrick and Markus are going to start with some yet untitled projects soon. As you can see, we’ve become older but not wiser and neither lazier, haha.? This was a great part of our lives, and the experiences we were glad to make will never be forgotten.
Thanks to all our fans and all the great people we have met out there and the friends we have made!"

EMPIRES OF EDEN To Enter The Studio In JanuaryAustralian metallers EMPIRES OF EDEN will hit the studio in January to complete the follow-up to their debut, Songs Of War And Vengeance.
The next album will include an international all-star line-up of some of metal’s most powerful singers, building on the original creative force that made the debut a must-hear release of 2009.
The brainchild of ex-DUNGEON guitarist Stu Marshall, Empires Of Eden is a collection of melodic power metal that has garnered unanimous praise worldwide. Incorporating huge melodic hooks, blistering guitar performances and a fresh approach to song writing, the debut was a massive success in Japan, released by Rubicon records in July this year.
The forthcoming opus, with the working title Silence Obscura, is set to deliver an aggressive and orchestrally focused tour de force, involving material that has be individually crafted to bring out the best of each singer’s unique vocal strengths.
The project’s director, Stu Marshall, says: “With the first album I was lucky enough to feature three incredible voices in Louie Gorgievski (CRIMSON FIRE), Mike Zoias (TRANSCENDING MORTALITY) and Chris Ninni (Sydney session vocalist). The act has always had a focus on allowing the singers to compose all of their own lyrical parts and melodies, something that is rare these days when people are involved in projects like these. You do get a sense of what really makes these singers so good and you'll hear a deep range of their talent and soul.
“When formulating this album, I contacted many of the great artists who had influenced and inspired me for the last 20-plus years, and, out of the many I contacted, I was lucky enough to have five confirmed so far. From what I am hearing in these early stages, the concept is showing incredible promise.”
The confirmed guests and all remaining mysteries of the album will be revealed in the future, but for now, the one thing that is no secret is that tracking will commence in January.

The CD was recorded at Earshot Studio and features Shagrath on vocals, King on bass, Frost (SATYRICON) on drums, Ice Dale (ENSLAVED) on guitar and Teloch (NIDINGR, GOD SEED) on guitar. The album was produced by Herbrand Larsen and mastered at the Livingroom studios by Espen Berg and Shagrath in November 2009. King composed all of the music for "The Underworld Regime", while Shagrath wrote all lyrics, with contributions from Silenoz and Sarah Owens.

04. Perpetual Night
05. Ghosting
06. Acts of Sin
07. Krigsatte Faner

Commented Shagrath: "The majestic OV HELL has become a band that reflects our roots — raw, ugly, arrogantly blasphemous — with uncompromising truth from two influential Norwegian musicians needing to express our primitive side, straight out OV HELL."
Added King: "It's been a little hell to actually see this music form into a band, but when I'm now listening to the final result, it has been worth the hard work we have put into this album!"
Two rough-mix sample tracks from "The Underworld Regime" can be heard on the band's MySpace page. 17

OPETH Planning String Of Shows To Celebrate 20-Year AnniversaryGuitarist/vocalist Mikael Åkerfeldt of Swedish progressive metallers OPETH has issued the following update:
"Just got back from the little trek-trippie-trip to Japan and Australia. Had a WONDERFUL time! Japan was awesome!
"We only played two shows, Tokyo and Osaka and both were real nice. We were so jetlagged it was insane; I can't remember ever being that tired.
"Burrn! magazine wanted to have a brief photo session with us right before we stepped onstage in Tokyo. I saw one of those photos and they were quite possibly the worst we've ever looked. Ever! Five faces that just looked like, 'Fuck off, lemme sleep you fucking BITCH!' Insanely funny. To the point where our soundman wanted it signed. I think he's gonna frame it and put it up on his toilet wall. I was also given a prize presented to me by Burrn! magazine as the readers had voted me as the 'Best songwriter of 2008'. Normally I don't care for these type of things, but I couldn't help being happy about that. I actually give a fuck when people like my songs, yes I do.
"Again...a massive 'LOVE YA!' from me to you!
"Japan is such a wonderful, 'strange' place to be.
"I defied my jetlag immediately after landing and went straight out record-shopping with my buddy Koji from Roadrunner Japan. Recofan and Disc Union in Shibuya. Spent...not too much, actually. Turns out the dude who works at Recofan was a fan of the band. So he gave me some records for free even. Got the first, super-rare QUIET RIOT LP (with Randy Rhoads) that was only released in Japan from him.
"Thanks, dude!
"Japanese food is my favourite now, I think.
"We went out with the Roadrunner office as well as the promoters, Creative Man, for some nice Japanese cousine and some sake...of course. Lovely! Hope to go back soon! I've become a tuna sashimi junkie!
"Is it unethical to eat ALL tuna or is the purple fen one that's 'out of bounds?' I wanna be good to my planet....! Yet it tastes so fucking good!!!
"Australia is my favourite country in the world next to Sweden. I could live there!
"We only had three shows this time around, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. All of which went great, especially Sydney was magical! We tried the famous 'seabug' in Brisbane. Tasted a bit like alligator. I'd say. Was amazing!
"After the Sydney show, we were rushed out to go back to the hotel and disappointed a number of fans who wanted pics and autographs. Always feel like shit when that happens. Some of the fans were showing us their 'thumbs down' which hurt, but fuck, I hope we can make it up to you guys next time. There was simply too many people there to take care of everyone and we had other obligations too. Yet I understand you're disappointed....what can I say...sorry?
"I can only be amazed when I think about OPETH and Oz. It's been a love story since the very first time we went there. We've never had to 'work' the country. We've been loved since day one there, and the feeling is mutual, I hope you know!?
"We'll never stop come back and blast your faces off with our metal MIGHT! Haha!
"A little MANOWAR hairball there....
"In Melbourne, Roadrunner had arranged for me to go record shopping and be interviewed doing it....on their expense! They GAVE me money to BUY records for my OWN collection! It happened before once actually and I can't complain. Went to Rare Records in St. Gilda and shopped for around 250 Oz dollars. Found some gems and I'm actually listening to the stuff right now as I'm typing away here....
"I'm in and out of panic attacks here. I think it's because the tour is almost over. We only have two more shows in Greece (Athens and Thessaloniki) and that's it for this year! It's scary, to be honest!
"We're off 'till late March when we'll start a string of shows celebrating 20 years. Will give you the dates on those [as soon as possible], but they will be fucking limited and fucking special, so don't fucking slack when we release them tix. Six shows across the world and that will be IT!" 7

CARPATHIAN FOREST Bassist\'s Label Joins Forces With Danish Horror FilmmakerMisantrof, the label that was founded and headed by CARPATHIAN FOREST bass player Daniel Vrangsinn, and which makes all its releases available for free download, has branched out into films by joining forces with Danish horror filmmaker Kim Sønderholm and Cetus Productions. Misantrof will release three of Sønderholm's films over the coming months, starting on November 22, with "The Horror Vault 1", which comprises "nine tales of human cruelty, nine tales of human depravity, nine tales of true horror." The titles of the nine tales are: "When John Met Julia", "Delusion", "Alone", "Mental Distortion", "Dead To The World", "Disconnected", "Echoes", "The Demon", "Retina", and the film is available to download in its entirety at the.horror.vault.misantrof.net.
The cooperation between Misantrof and the filmmaker began when some of Vrangsinn's music was used in "The Horror Vault", and again in Sønderholm's 2009 release "Rovdrift" (English title: "Bleed With Me"), which debuted at the 13th international Weekend of Fear film festival in Germany. A spokesperson for Misantrof commented: "It's not such a big leap for Misantrof to go into making films available. It was always the intention that Misantrof would eventually be a venue for all forms of artistic expression and we are always interested in seeing how far we will be able to take things. This cooperation with Kim and Cetus Productions has given us the opportunity to expand into the area of film, and we are delighted that a filmmaker of his skill and experience chose to work with us." 1
