WALKWAYS Debut Official Music Video For "Half The Man I Am"Israeli metallers, Walkways, have released a video for "Half The Man I Am", a track from their new album, Bleed Out, Heal Out, available via via Nuclear Blast. Watch below:
Bleed Out, Heal Out journeys through six chapters. It begins with a heart break and a deep disappointment, goes into a struggle with the urge to avenge and let a darker side take over, from there comes the chapter of release and unchaining from the burden of trauma. Then comes the step of letting someone new in to your life, the stage of loving again. Following that is a contemplation of the outside world - being horrified by our ways as human beings (wars, environmental pollution and animal abuse) and a strong desire to correct and evolve as one and a shout out to change as a whole.
To end the album, there is a recurring chapter of convergence due to the shock from the outside world, which is again flooded with great disappointment and a kind of despair from the current situation, but the deep desire to correct and transcend the internal and external chaos is always preserved.

MORGAN LANDER Says She Feels 'Almost Detached' From KITTIE's Early Years"Bods Mayhem Hour" recently conducted an interview with KITTIE frontwoman Morgan Lander. You can listen to the entire chat below. A few excerpts follow (transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET).
On joining Montreal metal band KARKAOS, which also features BLACKGUARD drummer Justine Ethier in its ranks:
Morgan: "It feels amazing. I have felt like in the last few years that I really wanted to create something, but I wanted to try to step outside of the box that I have been in in the past. This was a great opportunity for me, trying to find the right project. I actually have known the band for a number of years because Justine, the drummer, who actually played in BLACKGUARD, who toured together, we became really great friends and we kept in touch. I heard since she joined the band, all the progression that KARKAOS has made. Finally, when the time came, we actually had a good conversation about the potential for me to be joining the band. It took me a while to think about it. There is a little distance factor. They are a Montreal-based band and I live in Southern Ontario. It's a little bit far, but the way that technology works these days, you can make anything possible. It's really great to be working with someone who is a great friend of mine and is an amazing musician. All the people in the band are amazing musicians, so it's going to be a really cool and fun thing."
On how she's developed musically from the early days of KITTIE:
Morgan: "I think back to the music that was written for KITTIE, with the first album, I'm like 'Wow…' It feels so long ago. I feel so, almost detached from that, in the person that I was. Those songs were written when I was 14 years old. I'm 37 now. It's been a long journey, but I think along the way, there's been a lot of lessons that have been learned, both personally and musically, and I think even with the KITTIE catalog, you can hear the progression in the music, and in the subject matter and the musicianship in general. For me, I think joining KARKAOS, is kind of like the next logical step for that. But, yeah, there has been a lot of personal growth along the way as well, especially, I'd say maybe the last ten years of my life, both my professional life and my personal life, with KITTIE, and with everything that sort of happened in the last few years with that, and stepping outside the spotlight, really, and taking a step back. But then also, in doing the documentary and sort of having to go through all the things we had been through and relive them and speak to people from the past that hadn't really been in touch for a very long time. It was a very cathartic experience. Even in doing that, I feel like I've grown as a person and come to understand a lot of the things that happened in the past a little better and come to accept them and learn from those experiences as well."
KARKAOS entered Silverwings studio in August to demo and work on pre-production on eight new songs.
The band expects to record its next full-length this fall/winter for an early 2020 release. 4

PINK FLOYD Promote The Later Years Collection With "Money" (Screen Film 1994)On November 29, Pink Floyd Records will release Pink Floyd The Later Years, a 16-disc set (5xCDs, 6xBlu-Rays, 5xDVDs) covering the material created by David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright from 1987 onwards.
In anticipation, the band have released this video, "Money" (Screen Film 1994):
The period generated record sales of over 40 million worldwide and included three studio albums: A Momentary Lapse Of Reason, The Division Bell and The Endless River as well as two live albums: Delicate Sound Of Thunder and Pulse. With additional production from David Gilmour and Andy Jackson, over 13 hours of unreleased audio and audiovisual material, including the sought-after 1989 Venice and 1990 Knebworth concerts, Pink Floyd The Later Years is a must for all fans.
A multi-media, deluxe box set, Pink Floyd The Later Years presents an expanded view of the Pink Floyd story from 1987 to the present and kicks off with A Momentary Lapse Of Reason, the album that confirmed Pink Floyd as one of the world’s biggest artists.
The album, presented for the first time in 5.1, has been remixed and updated by David Gilmour and Andy Jackson. The release of The Later Years project gives an opportunity for a fresh overview of the A Momentary Lapse Of Reason album. By returning to some of Richard Wright’s keyboard parts and recording new drum tracks with Nick Mason, producers David Gilmour and Bob Ezrin have restored the creative balance between the three Pink Floyd members.
Throughout 1987 and 1988 the band’s live shows became the largest-grossing concert tour ever to that date and produced the critically acclaimed, Grammy Award nominated, Delicate Sound Of Thunder. Filmed at the Nassau Coliseum in New York State, the concert shows the band on the top of their form. The concert has been fully re-edited and upgraded from the original 35mm film negatives by Aubrey ‘Po’ Powell and Benny Trickett and the sound remixed to 5.1. It also includes "Terminal Frost" and "Welcome To The Machine", two tracks that were not included on the original concert film release. For the first time the concert is available in 5.1 on Blu-ray and DVD.
Two of the most sought-after additions to Pink Floyd The Later Years are the 1989 Venice Concert, performed on a floating stage in front of St Mark’s Square, and the 1990 Silver Clef Winners performance at Knebworth. Both concerts, previously unreleased, are now available on both DVD and Blu-ray (145mins). The momentous Knebworth concert saw Pink Floyd topping the all-star bill (that included Paul McCartney, Dire Straits, Genesis, Phil Collins, Eric Clapton and Tears For Fears), in aid of the Nordoff Robbins charity, profits from which went towards setting up the BRIT School. David Gilmour and Andy Jackson have remixed the audio from this iconic concert and all seven tracks performed on the day (with guest musicians including sax player Candy Dulfer, the original The Great Gig In The Sky vocalist Clare Torry, keyboard player Michael Kamen and Sam Brown with her mother, Vicki, on vocals), are released here as well as for the first time ever on CD.
1994’s album The Division Bell sold over 12 million copies, having debuted at No 1 in the UK, the USA, Australia and New Zealand. It stayed at the top of the US charts for 4 weeks, and also went to No 1 in six other countries. The resulting tour was captured and recorded for the concert release Pulse. This release contains the entire Pulse live concert film, re-edited and upgraded from the original masters, from the groundbreaking Earl’s Court gigs, and available for the first time on Blu-ray. Also uncovered for the first time is footage of the band in rehearsals on October 20, 1994 performing "A Great Day For Freedom" and "Lost For Words".
In 2014, Pink Floyd released The Endless River, comprising mostly instrumental and ambient music based on material recorded during The Division Bell sessions. Featuring David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright, additional material was recorded in 2013 and 2014, with one song, "Louder Than Words", with lyrics by author & novelist Polly Samson (the primary lyricist for The Division Bell album). The Endless River became the most pre-ordered album of all time on Amazon UK and debuted at number one in several countries. The vinyl edition was the fastest-selling UK vinyl release since 1997. Included here for the first time is the never previously seen specially commissioned full 52-minute The Endless River film by Ian Emes, famed for his work with Pink Floyd, including his animations for "One Of These Days", "Speak To Me", "Time" and "On The Run".
Rounding off the package are hours of unreleased bonus materials including music videos, documentary footage, bonus live tracks, upgraded tour screen films and documentaries. It includes the first ever release, on Blu-ray, DVD and 7” vinyl, of the last live performance of Pink Floyd with David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright together in 2007. This special performance of Arnold Layne took place at the Syd Barrett Tribute Concert at The Barbican on 10 May 2007. The full set boasts previously unreleased or remixed audio, plus restored, remastered and re-edited audio-visuals including unreleased concert footage and promo clips.
With the help of Nick Mason and the Pink Floyd archive, the box set comes with reproductions of tour artwork, posters, programmes, tour laminates, lyric book and much more including two 7” vinyl singles, (the live version of "Arnold Layne" performed at the Syd Barrett Tribute Concert in 2007 and "Lost For Words" from the Pulse tour rehearsals at Earl’s Court), in new picture sleeves and etched image B-sides. Also included is a brand new 60-page hardback book of photos, designed by Aubrey Powell of Hipgnosis and Peter Curzon of StormStudios, including many previously unseen images.
The 5 CDs are encased in their own 40-page hardback book with an extensive guide to all content, tracklists and credits.
There will also be a 2-LP / 1-CD ‘Highlights’ package. It comes in a gatefold sleeve (for both 1-CD and 2-LP), and each will contain a 24-page booklet containing previously unseen and rare photos.

SAXON: Drum Tracks Laid Down For 23rd Studio AlbumSAXON's Nigel Glockler has finished laying down drum tracks for the band's 23rd studio album. According to singer Biff Byford, Paul Quinn and Doug Scarratt will soon "start doing guitars" with producer Andy Sneap.
Byford checked in via video message on his Twitter account — his third since undergoing an emergency triple bypass surgery last month.
Earlier in the month, Byford confirmed that his long-awaited solo album, "School Of Hard Knocks", will be released in early 2020. The LP's first single, "Welcome To The Show", will arrive on October 25, while the follow-up single, the disc's title track, is expected to be issued on December 13.
SAXON was forced to postpone all its previously announced 2019 shows so that Byford could undergo the heart procedure. His post-op recovery period will last into 2020.
Formed in 1977, SAXON didn't release its debut album until two years later.
Byford and Quinn are the sole remaining original members in the group's current lineup, which issued its 22nd LP, "Thunderbolt", in February 2018.
Originally from South Yorkshire, England, SAXON has gone on to sell about 23 million albums and has produced such classic songs as "Denim And Leather", "Princess Of The Night", "Wheels Of Steel" and "Power And Glory".
In addition to Byford, Glockler, Quinn and Scarratt, SAXON's current lineup includes bassist Nibbs Carter.

CHARM CITY DEVILS Release "Skipping Stone" Music VideoCharm City Devils - John Allen (lead vocals), Ted Merrill (guitar), Jason Heiser (drums) and Rick Reynolds (bass) - have released the Jim Wrigley-directed video for “Skipping Stone”, the first single from their forthcoming EP, 1904, which is set for release November 22 via Broken World Records.
The song is available worldwide on all digital outlets and is spinning on radio stations nationwide, including WIIL (Chicago), WJJO (Madison), WZBH (Ocean City, MD), WHXR (Portland, ME), WMGM (Atlantic City, NJ), KOZE (Lewiston, ID), and KHTQ (Spokane), with more adds coming in every week. They currently have over 70k monthly listeners and over 8 million streams on Spotify.
The band are proud of their native hometown of Baltimore, and they’re not afraid to wear their heart on their sleeves. They even named themselves (at the suggestion of then-Eleven Seven Music label President Nikki Sixx) after Baltimore’s nickname for which it was anointed in the ‘70s. Most recently, their beloved city has been described as a “rodent infested mess” and a place where “no human being would want to live.” But the band has another side to that narrative.
They’re dedicating their fourth studio release, a five-song EP appropriately titled 1904 (which refers to the year of the great fire that burned the city to the ground as evidenced on the EP’s cover), to their favorite metropolis and are inviting all their fans to join in and show the world how great and resilient it truly is.
“While writing and collaborating on the songs for 1904,” explains singer John Allen, “I started reflecting on my life and music career and how the town where I grew up impacted my view of the world. The story of Baltimore is a direct parallel to what most people experience in life. In everyone’s life there is a change arc. We begin that change with 'uninformed optimism' only to find out that optimism quickly turns to 'informed pessimism,’ and as the spiraling continues they ultimately bottom out at 'crisis of meaning.’ It’s in the crisis part of life where a person has to decide if they are going to be stuck or are they going to pick themselves up and begin the upward struggle toward happiness and fulfillment. The first single, ‘Skipping Stone,’ is a journey into self-awareness and ultimately about being resilient.”
In their own words: “We can write about Charm City Devils returning to their bluesy, modern-edged and southern-tinged hard rock anthems. We also can tell you about the desire to rock the masses, but you have heard all the puffery before. Rather than bore you with the same old bio, we want to give it to you straight. We are Baltimore and Baltimore is in all of us! We have lived our whole lives in and around this city. Baltimore was once vibrant. The town had jobs, low crime and was a place to truly call home. While it is tough to argue that Baltimore doesn’t have a myriad of issues, we still want to tell the story of what still thrives here, which is the Music.
“Real life experiences are what we write about, what we sing about and what we care about. It’s gut wrenching to see our once ‘Charmed City’ fall to ruin. We all want to be a part of something grand and we all want to have a sense of pride, not only in ourselves, but also in our community.
“We have lost friends to addiction. We have moved venues due to safety. We have been the victim of robbery, and almost every night the local news the leadoff story is about a murder. Yet we pray that one day, this will turn around and peace and love will conquer, but we know we are far cry from that salvation. We write and play music for the distraction from all the negativity and anxiety that surrounds us. Through personal experience we are reminded that when things are really bad, and we mean really bad, we have the outlet of music to channel all those emotions and hope that those that feel the same way can find the same hope through our songs.
“Baltimore to us is what Detroit is to Kid Rock or Boston is to Aerosmith. It keeps us ground, motivated, and inspired. It’s the main reason we chose this profession and why we will always pursue our dreams.
“If nothing else, the return of the Charm City Devils is a reminder that not all the news in Baltimore is bleak and in the face of adversity we have to “Roll on, Roll on, on like a Skipping Stone!”

Watch VINCE NEIL Perform MÖTLEY CRÜE Classics In Corning, CaliforniaFan-filmed video footage of Vince Neil's September 26 performance at Rolling Hills Casino in Corning, California can be seen below (courtesy of YouTube user "ALL OR NOTHING530").
Neil is continuing to tour the world with his backing group, which includes Dana Strum and Jeff Blando from SLAUGHTER, along with drummer Zoltan Chaney.
Speaking to "Trunk Nation", Vince acknowledged that he is currently the only member of MÖTLEY CRÜE who is waving the flag for the band's music by performing CRÜE songs as a solo artist.
"It's a cool thing, because I love MÖTLEY CRÜE, I love MÖTLEY CRÜE's music, and I love singing, and I love the fans' reactions when they hear the songs," he said. "Whether we're playing in front of a thousand people or twenty thousand people, I can only see the front row anyway. So I'm happy for me and for the fans to be able to still hear that music after MÖTLEY CRÜE is finished."
The film adaptation of MÖTLEY CRÜE's biography, "The Dirt", was released on March 22. The movie, which was helmed by "Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa" director Jeff Tremaine, was picked up by Netflix after being previously developed at Focus Features and before that at Paramount.
Last year, MÖTLEY CRÜE recorded four new songs for "The Dirt" movie, including the single "The Dirt (Est. 1981) (Feat. Machine Gun Kelly)", "Ride With The Devil", "Crash And Burn" and the band's own spin on Madonna's "Like A Virgin".
MÖTLEY CRÜE's last studio album was 2008's "Saints Of Los Angeles", which was followed by a 2009 "Greatest Hits" compilation.
In 2015, MÖTLEY CRÜE completed "The Final Tour", closing the book on the band's iconic career after performing a total of 164 shows in 72 markets, grossing over $100 million.
To cement the sense of finality, the four members of MÖTLEY CRÜE in 2014 publicly signed a "cessation of touring" contract that prevents any of them from performing under the CRÜE name in the future.
A tour film about MÖTLEY CRÜE's final shows, "The End", came out in 2016.

EXMORTUS Release Playthrough Video For Cover Of Theme From Alfred Hitchcock's PsychoIn advance of next week's release of their new Halloween/horror-themed EP, Legions Of The Undead, Los Angeles-based death/thrash/shred quartet, Exmortus, has unveiled a playthrough video for their rendition of Bernard Herrmann's “Psycho Theme”. Check it out below.
In addition to his work with director Alfred Hitchcock, Herrmann composed scores for such notable films as Citizen Kane, Cape Fear and Taxi Driver. He's best known, though, for scoring Psycho, which the American Film Institute ranked as the fourth-greatest film score of all time in 2005.
"Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho is undoubtedly one of the most iconic horror movies of all time, and not just for its story,” states Exmortus’ Jadran ‘Conan’ Gonzalez. “Bernard Herrman's harsh harmonies and melancholic melodies in the score translate so well to heavy metal, we couldn't resist putting our own spin on it. So, enjoy this shredder take of the classic slasher theme."
“Psycho Theme” is joined on Legions Of The Undead by two new original Exmortus tracks - “Swallow Your Soul,” which was inspired by Evil Dead, and the title track, which nods to the Dead Men of Dunharrow in Lord Of The Rings - and two other instrumentals: a neoclassical shred rendition of 19th Century Russian composer Modest Mussorgsky's haunting “Night On Bald Mountain,” and a cover of Danny Elfman's “Beetlejuice” theme.
Digital pre-orders for Legions Of The Undead, out on October 25, include instant downloads of “Swallow Your Soul” and “Beetlejuice”. Physical copies, meanwhile, can be pre-ordered on CD and limited-edition green slime-colored vinyl, here.

Watch CRO-MAGS Perform In West HollywoodChurch Of The 8th Day has uploaded video footage of CRO-MAGS' October 18 concert at The Roxy in West Hollywood, California. Check it out below.
CRO-MAGS feature the legendary Harley Flanagan pulling double duty with bass and lead vocals, guitarists Gabby Abularach, Rocky George (SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, FISHBONE), and drummer Garry "G-Man" Sullivan.
Earlier this year the band released their first new music in nearly 20 years with the EP "Don't Give In".
The history of the CRO-MAGS is integral to the history of hardcore, its evolution from punk and the development of alternative music genres such as hardcore, cross-over, thrash metal, post punk and grunge, to name a few. Numerous iconic bands from METALLICA to GREEN DAY, and individuals such as Dave Grohl have credited CRO-MAGS with having had a primal influence on their development.
Born out of the violence and depravity of the Lower East Side of New York in the late '70s and early '80s, the CRO-MAGS was the brainchild of a very young Harley Flanagan (at the time 14 years old) when still playing with THE STIMULATORS. By 1982/83 he wrote and recorded the very first CRO-MAGS demos consisting of four songs that would become the blueprint for the seminal 1986 "Age Of Quarrel". He wrote all of the music, played each instrument and sang. Before long, he connected with Parris Mayhew and the two started writing music and auditioning band members.
Flanagan recently reached a settlement with singer John Joseph and drummer Mackie Jayson regarding ownership of the CRO-MAGS name. Flanagan will now perform under the name CRO-MAGS while Joseph and Jayson will perform as CRO-MAGS "JM".

CIVIL DEFIANCE Reunite, Announce "Eye Of The Dog" Digital SingleLong dormant Southern California progressive avantgarde metal outfit, Cival Defiance, have announced their first new release since their sophomore album, Circus of Fear, for GSM/Nuclear Blast in 1999. Led by Philm frontman Gerry Nestler, the group will issue the “Eye Of The Dog” single on October 28 on all digital outlets and are currently working on songs for a full-length album.
Comprising Nestler on guitar, piano and vocals, Jenk Kent on bass, newcomer Christopher Garcia of The Mothers on drums, and long-time lyricist Brad Hornbacher, the decision to reactivate the group came about after a fateful phone call several months ago.
“It all started when Brad called me on the phone one day to read aloud a new set of lyrics he had just written. I was sitting at the piano as he read me the lyrics to 'Eye Of The Dog'. I began playing music to his words as he read them aloud. Our first new Cival Defiance song had just been conceived”, reveals Nestler. “I got together with Jenk, and then our original guitarist Mike Kinney and drummer Gabe Trevizo were ready to join in but, unfortunately, could not make the commitment. Our friend Chris Poland (ex-Megadeth) recommended we check out drummer Christopher Garcia from The Mothers, a band with historic ties to Frank Zappa’s legendary The Mothers Of Invention, and together we quickly started to go over an old live set. The material from the past helped inspire us to create new music and we prepared ourselves to record five new songs with engineer Chris Sorem at NEST Recorders here in L.A.”
While the band has recorded “some fierce, fast, hard and heavy stuff” according to Nestler, “Eye Of The Dog” is an eclectic curveball which harkens back to the jazzy “A Dry White Season” and the piano driven “Man In The Moon” off Cival Defiance’s revered 1996 debut album, The Fishers For Souls, underscoring the group’s innate genre defying approach to songwriting.
“We just wanted to put out something for our fans in October 2019 as a “thank you””, says Nestler. “We decided on 'Eye Of The Dog' because it’s our first song together in over 20 years. 2019 also marks the 30th anniversary of the band’s live debut at The Troubadour in Los Angeles and the 20th anniversary of Circus Of Fear but, most importantly, the remembrance of our drummer, Mike Kent, Jenk’s brother, who passed away 14 years ago, on October 18, 2005.”
Cival Defiance first formed in 1989 and quickly rose to become one of the most buzzed about bands on the L.A. music scene. They also began to build a strong underground following in parts of Europe with the release of their 1991 Abstract Reaction EP and contributed their grindcore onslaught, Swarm, to the 1992 Banned In L.A. / Band Together: Mosh On Fire compilation. The band issued their acclaimed full-length debut, The Fishers For Souls, via Germany’s Dream Circle label and toured Europe with fellow Californians Psychotic Waltz in 1997. Grind Syndicate Media/Nuclear Blast signed the group for 1999’s Circus Of Fear, a collection of unreleased songs from different sessions, by which time Nestler had begun to work with former Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo under the name Letterbomb, which later became Philm.

The band comments, "So here we are on the second release of To Ride In Blood & Bathe In Greed. This 4-song EP contains slower songs that are heavier and more bombastic. The sounds lean more towards old school death metal, influenced by bands like Bolt Thrower and all the other great releases from Earache back in the day. Turn it up and enjoy a story of war and corruption! "
The Denmark based death metal band is comprised of former members of Volbeat, Mnemic, Hatesphere, Illdisposed, and Raunchy. Officially surfaced in 2013, good friendship and love for old school death metal have made Blood Eagle an unstoppable force.
The album was produced, engineered, mixed and mastered by Tue Madsen at Antfarm Studios. All artwork was created by Rune Stigart. The final EP for To Ride In Blood & Bathe In Greed will be released on November 22.
The band comments, "We are honored to have signed with one of the world's leading record labels, Nuclear Blast Records! The excitement level of Blood Eagle finally finding the right home to release new material, is higher for us than we can ever express. There are people who want to hear this band, as was evident in the reaction to our performances on multiple European festivals in the last couple of years. We are excited and grateful to be working with the guys at Nuclear Blast, as they strongly will help facilitate and take the Eagle to the next level.
"On a musical note, we took all our inspirations from Napalm Death, Bolt Thrower, Morbid Angel and a tad (like 2%) of Mastodon and threw them into the musical cooking pot. The result is our new release, To Ride In Blood & Bathe In Greed I, II, III which will be released as three EPs in September, October and November. Out on Nuclear Blast Records."

TONY HARNELL & THE MERCURY TRAIN To Release Limited Vinyl Edition Of Round Trip Album In NovemberTony Harnell & The Mercury Train will release their album, Round Trip, on a limited edition on white vinyl (500 copies worldwide) on November 29 via Livewire / Cargo Records UK. The album will also be available on all digital platforms. It's the first time on LP, it was originally released on CD in 2010.
This is a masterful and critically acclaimed acoustic retrospective of Tony Harnell’s prolific career. With new arrangements and a stellar production, these great songs sound fresh and vibrant with a new spark breathed into them by some of New York City’s finest musicians. This is a very special record: a stripped down, reinvented retrospective of Tony Harnell’s past classics originally recorded with his previous bands TNT, Westworld and Starbreaker, with one brand new song, “Anywhere But Here”, recorded especially for this release. The idea of re-recording some repertoire classics came about after Tony performed some low key shows in New York in late 2008, with some talented and accomplished musicians that were not part of the metal/hard rock scene. The desire was to breathe new life into the songs with new arrangements, key changes and added parts, it’s like listening to songs you know in a whole new way.
The limited vinyl can be pre-ordered here.

STRIGOI Featuring PARADISE LOST Guitarist GREG MACKINTOSH Release "Nocturnal Vermin" Lyric VideoOn the cold morning of November 22, Strigoi shall rise from its crypt to unleash its debut album upon the world. With an approach that was as nihilistic and crusty as it was cinematically grand, Paradise Lost's Greg Mackintosh teamed up with former Extreme Noise Terror and Vallenfyre bass player Chris Casket to record a truly bone-crushing beast of old-school death metal, titled Abandon All Faith.
The 12-song-debut was recorded and mixed at Greg's Black Planet Studio between January and March 2019. Today, the English duo release a lyric video for the new single, "Nocturnal Vermin". Check it out below.
"'Nocturnal Vermin' is a short and vicious little song that blends elements of grindcore and OSDM with industrial touches to create an overall nasty yet ominous feel," Greg explains. "Lyrically it is about having the life drained out of you by other people purely out of malice and self interest, to the point where the mere thought of their skin and scent makes you want to be physically sick."
The band is also pleased to present the two new live members of the band. Joining them on the road will be drummer Guido Zima Montanarini (The Secret, ex-Implore), and rhythm guitarist Sam Kelly-Wallace (ex-Vallenfyre).
Guido says, "I had the pleasure to meet Greg and Chris on a European tour supporting Vallenfyre with my previous band Implore, and we got along instantly. I'm flattered they asked me to join their new killer project and I'm excited our paths crossed again in this unexpected way. The new material sounds very dark and intense, and I can't wait to hit the stage with my mates. It's gonna be ace!"
Sam states, "It is an absolute honor to be asked to play in Strigoi. I spent 5 years in Vallenfyre, it was an amazing experience and getting to be a part of Greg and Chris's grim new venture is something I am very grateful for. I'm really looking forward to taking Strigoi to the stage and performing alongside friends that I have a great musical history with and huge respect for."
The debut album will be available as jewelcase CD, black vinyl in gatefold and digitally, and consists of 12 new tracks with a running time of 44 minutes. Pre-order here.
Tracklisting:
"The Rising Horde"
"Parasite"
"Phantoms"
"Iniquitous Rage"
"Nocturnal Vermin"
"Plague Nation"
"Seven Crowns"
"Enemies Of God"
"Throne Of Disgrace"
"Scorn Of The Father"

RAGE To Release 'Wings Of RAGE' Album In January; 'Let Them Rest In Peace' Single Now AvailableFew metal acts can look back at as comprehensive, multi-faceted and varied a career as RAGE. Founded in spring 1983 in Herne in Germany's Ruhr region, the band led by vocalist/bassist Peavy Wagner has integrated a wide range of stylistic nuances into its musical concept. There have been releases which focused primarily on hard thrash sounds, but also recordings featuring anthemnic power metal as well as albums with a — in the true sense of the word — symphonic orientation. "Wings Of Rage", the latest offering by the three-piece, consists of all this and much more. Peavy and his colleagues Marcos Rodriguez (guitar) and Vassilios Maniatopoulos (drums) have succeeded in summarizing the diversity and experience of almost 37 years of band history in twelve topical songs, starting a new chapter at the same time.
Thanks to the diversity on "Wings Of Rage", Wagner, Rodriguez and Maniatopoulos can be one hundred percent certain that every fan will find something to their very own, personal taste. Friends of earthy thrash tracks with a typical RAGE attitude will get their money's worth mostly on numbers such as the opener "True" with its sinister verse, the lead single "Let Them Rest In Peace", the title track "Wings Of Rage" and the intense "Don't Let Me Down". Aficionados of atmospherically dense power metal anthems will love "Tomorrow" and "Chasing The Twilight Zone", while elements of classic orchestrations, as featured on RAGE's 1998 album classic "XIII", mark the progressive "A Nameless Grave" and the ballad "Shine A Light".
"Wings Of Rage" presents the band as dynamic as ever, and their next world tour is in the pipeline for 2020. The February dates for the European leg have already been confirmed, more dates will follow soon.
Today sees the arrival of the first single "Let Them Rest In Peace", including an impressive video clip which RAGE shot in a closed-down paper factory.
"Wings Of Rage" will be released on January 10, 2020 through Steamhammer/SPV as CD digipak, 2LP gatefold version, limited box set, shirt bundle (Steamhammer shop) download and stream.
Track listing:
01. True
02. Let Them Rest In Peace
03. Chasing The Twilight Zone
04. Tomorrow
05. Wings Of Rage
06. Shadow Over Deadland (The Twilight Transition)
07. A Nameless Grave
08. Don't Let Me Down
09. Shine A Light

Listen To New MAYHEM Song 'Falsified And Hated'The song "Falsified And Hated" from Norwegian black metal veterans MAYHEM can be streamed below. The track is taken from the band's forthcoming album, "Daemon", which will be released on October 25 via Century Media.
Pre-orders for the 12-song album have been released. A variety of limited-edition and special variants are available, including a limited deluxe LP boxset (various colors), a limited CD mediabook in slipcase, a standard CD, a limited gatefold LP (various colors) and, of course, a digital version.
By the power of darkness and with the might of black-hearted will no two MAYHEM albums have been or will ever be the same. Over the course of MAYHEM's storied and groundbreaking 35-year career — from "Deathcrush" (1987) through "Esoteric Warfare" (2014) — the Norwegians have continuously challenged the orthodoxy of the genre they helped create. Originally informed by greats HELLHAMMER, VENOM, BATHORY and SODOM, MAYHEM eventually imbued its damnable attack with influences from all over the music extreme spectrum, indicated first on the harsh and angular "Wolf's Lair Abyss" (1997) EP and foremost on the enterprisingly brutal and revolutionary "Grand Declaration Of War" (2000).
"Daemon" isn't a direct follow-up to "Esoteric Warfare". Like all MAYHEM albums of their time, "Daemon" is unto itself. The wolf solitary and singular. Indeed, "Daemon" also isn't a new chapter in MAYHEM's storied career. Rather, it's a new tome, authoritative yet wild in character. Composed and decomposed with the same lineup — Necrobutcher (bass), Hellhammer (drums), Attila (vocals), Teloch (guitars) and Ghul (guitars) — that handled "Esoteric Warfare" and performed "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas" in its entirety over the last few years, "Daemon" isn't a retrofit of classic songs like "Freezing Moon", "Pagan Fears" or "Buried By Time And Dust" either. That's what the live album, "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas Alive" (2016), was for. "Daemon" is change, an opportunity for the maw of hell to open wider.
"MAYHEM will always be MAYHEM," says Teloch. "If we put the genre game aside a bit, no one else sounds like MAYHEM. Even when 'De Mysteriis' came out, it was not at first considered to be a black metal album, if my memory serves me right. Tricky to label this band. Metal would be the most fitting; it's not pure black metal, in my opinion. Not sure it has ever been actually, despite what the general opinion is. People can call it whatever they want. If it's black metal to them, then fine. We don't really care. To me, it's important to keep some sort of black metal vibe at least."
MAYHEM entered NBS Audio Studio (a.k.a. Necromorbus Studio) in Söderfors, Sweden to record drums and vocals with producer/engineer Tore Stjerna. Newly consecrated Studio A (Stjerna's Stockholm studio will continue to operate as Studio B) in an old church, Hellhammer and Csihar recorded their respective parts for "Daemon". The band then had Ghul record his guitars in the Netherlands, while the bass was engineered by Teloch and performed by Necrobutcher at Lupercal Studio in Oslo, Norway. Teloch took his guitar tracking to SleikBallaMi Studio, also in Oslo. "Daemon" was then brought back to Stjerna for mixing and sent off to Thomas Johansson at The Panic Room for mastering. The whole affair took about three months to nail down.
"Daemon" track listing:
01. The Dying False King
02. Agenda Ignis
03. Bad Blood
04. Malum
05. Falsified And Hated
06. Aeon Daemonium
07. Worthless Abomination Destroyed
08. Daemon Spawn
09. Of Worms And Ruins
10. Invoke The Oath
Certainly, the art of the album cover can be hit or miss. Not for MAYHEM. The Norwegians have crafted an aesthetic that's both harrowing and insidious. From the low contrast majesty of "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas" and the blurry haunt of "Chimera" to the suggestive intensity of "Grand Declaration Of War" and "Esoteric Warfare"'s retro-modern mind machine layout, the band have always been progressively inclined where it concerns image, message, and style. For "Daemon", MAYHEM enlisted Italian designer Daniele Valeriani (LUCIFER'S CHILD, DARK FUNERAL) to understand, conceive, and deliver the cover art.
"I think this album will be most pleasing for old and new fans," says Teloch. "As most of our devoted fans know, MAYHEM has never released two albums that sound the same. That's the case this time around as well. As I said, we simplified stuff, but at the same time tried out some new stuff to keep it interesting for ourselves and, also for our fans that dig that we are doing something new on each album."
Soon after the release of "Daemon", MAYHEM will embark on a European headline tour with special guests GAAHLS WYRD and GOST. 5

Hear MARILYN MANSON's Dark Rendition Of Traditional American Folk Song 'God's Gonna Cut You Down'Marilyn Manson has lent his signature gravel and intensity to a new version of "God's Gonna Cut You Down", the classic American folk song. Manson reunited with director Tim Mattia for the cinematic black-and-white video filmed in Joshua Tree, California. Check it out below.
"God's Gonna Cut You Down" was recorded with producer Tyler Bates, with whom the shock rocker collaborated on his last two records, 2015's "The Pale Emperor" and 2017's "Heaven Upside Down".
The song is available to pre-order now on limited-pressing picture disc featuring one of Manson's original watercolor paintings.
Over the years, "God's Gonna Cut You Down" has been recorded by numerous artists representing a variety of genres. The lyrics are a warning to sinners that no matter how hard they try, they will not avoid God's judgment.
Marilyn Manson has spent the last few months collaborating with country rocker Shooter Jennings on his new studio album, tentatively due in early 2020. Manson's guitarist Paul Wiley will also appear on the disc, as will his new drummer, Brandon Pertzborn (of BLACK FLAG, DOYLE and HO99O9).
Manson and Jennings previously teamed up in 2016 to record a cover version of "Cat People (Putting Out Fire)" for Jennings's "Countach (For Giorgio)" LP, a covers collection featuring songs by electronic-music pioneer Giorgio Moroder. 5

ROB HALFORD Releases 'Morning Star' Lyric Video From 'Celestial' Christmas AlbumJUDAS PRIEST singer Rob Halford has released the official lyric video for his song called "Morning Star". The track appears on his all-new Christmas album, titled "Celestial", which arrives today (Friday, October 18) via Legacy Recordings.
Without question, Halford is one of heavy metal's all-time great vocalists — as heard through his highly influential and groundbreaking work with JUDAS PRIEST. But over his career, he has also proven able to master a variety of other styles vocally — including holiday-themed music.
"Celestial" is also available for pre-order on Rob's artist store — with exclusive merchandise and a limited, autographed metallic-gold color version of the vinyl.
Credited to ROB HALFORD WITH FAMILY & FRIENDS, the album mixes holiday classics with all-new compositions, and will appeal to lovers of traditional holiday music and headbangers alike.
"The great thing about heavy metal is it's got these kinds of multiple dimensions," explains the man also known as the Metal God. "I think when you look at it from an outside point of view — if you're not really familiar with the metal scene — it can look pretty intimidating. And it is a very strong, powerful experience. But it comes at different levels. I think the music that we've made on 'Celestial', for example, gives a display of that. Metal maniacs — as we call ourselves — are just as ready for the holidays as everybody else. And what we've tried to do with this music is to reach out to as many of those metal dimensions as we possibly can."
And judging from the ROB HALFORD WITH FAMILY & FRIENDS banner, "Celestial" sees Halford joined by a supporting cast of those very close to him — his brother (Nigel) on drums, his nephew on bass (Alex, son of PRIEST bassist Ian Hill), has sister (Sue) on bells, and twin guitar tandem of Robert Jones and Jon Blakey.
Once all the contributors were in place, Halford "went away and listened to a lot holiday music and Christmas carols. Traditional stuff. 12 tracks — including original tracks that I'm particularly excited about. And in that way, because of the dimensions of each song and the messages of each song, I think we cover a really broad platform. To me, more than anything, I wanted it to have its own characteristics and be a little bit more different than the regular rock 'n' roll Christmas album."
Halford has certainly accomplished this goal, as evidenced by such standout originals as the album-opening title track, "Donner And Blitzen", and "Protected By The Light", as well as reworkings of such holiday standards as "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen", "Joy To The World" and "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing", among other standouts. "'Donner And Blitzen' gets the snowball rolling for 'Celestial' — a song full of excitement, love and hope," says Rob. "You can hear and feel the power of Christmas time — energy roarin' with rockin' reindeers haulin'!
"I think the holidays for any family are a mixture of fun and excitement and apprehension of the whole event," he continues. "The magic of it more than anything else. It's just a beautiful time of year — which a lot of us wish would be for every day of the year. It's a beautiful thing as far as bringing families together. So, what better way to celebrate it than with your family, friends...and music. You must have music at Christmas time."
"Celestial" track listing:
01. Celestial [new song]
02. Donner And Blitzen [new song]
03. God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
04. Away In A Manger
05. Morning Star [new song]
06. Deck The Halls
07. Joy To The World
08. O Little Town Of Bethlehem
09. Hark! The Herald Angels Sing
10. The First Noel
11. Good King Wenceslas
12. Protected By The Light [new song]
HALFORD's first holiday CD, "Halford III - Winter Songs", came out in 2009. The disc was a collection of new Halford-penned tracks plus traditional holiday favorites presented with original arrangements by HALFORD (Rob Halford on vocals, Roy Z. on guitar, Metal Mike Chlasciak on guitar, Mike Davis on bass and Bobby Jarzombek on drums).

SODOM: Lyric Video For New Song 'Down On Your Knees'German thrash metal veterans SODOM will release a new EP, "Out Of The Frontline Trench", on November 22 via SPV/Steamhammer. The effort contains three brand new tracks as well as new recordings (studio and live) of two SODOM classics.
The official lyric video for the song "Down On Your Knees", taken from "Out Of The Frontline Trench", can be seen below.
Frontman Thomas "Angelripper" Such comments: "Postcards and letters from my granddad, which I discovered among the things he left behind when he died, and some TV documentaries have given me a vague idea of what it must have been like for soldiers back in those days to leave their trenches and face those life-threatening battles."
The close relationship between a metal band and its fans can be measured by — among other things — how long the group makes its supporters wait for new songs. So looking at it from that perspective, SODOM is definitely exemplary seeing that it has always supplied their huge following with new material at regular intervals. The release of their current album, "Decision Day", was followed — in time for their major European tour in December 2018 — by the "Partisan" EP.
Now the Gelsenkirchen thrash metal act led by figurehead Such (vocals, bass) presents itself from its generous side again: Even before work on their upcoming album is set to commence, SODOM are ready to unleash their brand-new mini-album, "Out Of The Frontline Trench". Tom calls the recording "a sign of life for our fans," having cut, together with his guitarists Frank "Blackfire" Gosdzik (also formerly of KREATOR, ASSASSIN) and Yorck Segatz (BEYONDITION) plus drummer Stefan "Husky" Hüskens (ASPHYX, DESASTER), three new songs as well as two classics (one of them re-recorded, the other one a live number), "Out Of The Frontline Trench" forging an arch between SODOM's past, present and future.
Track listing:
01. Genesis 19 (brand new track taken from the upcoming 2020 album)
02. Down On Your Knees (exclusive to this release)
03. Out Of The Frontline Trench (exclusive to this release)
04. Agent Orange (re-recorded with the current lineup)
05. Bombenhagel (live in Gelsenkirchen 2018)
Blackfire previously played with SODOM on the seminal albums "Persecution Mania", "Mortal Way Of Live" and "Agent Orange".
Commented Such: "We're a real family again. We all really enjoy the new lineup. There's a real team spirit again; we're having a great time together, every one of us is interested in everything and — really important! — everybody is there for everybody else. Obviously that kind of atmosphere is bound to have a positive effect on the songwriting."
Former SODOM guitarist Bernd "Bernemann" Kost and drummer Markus "Makka" Freiwald released a joint statement in January 2018 claiming that they were fired from the band by Tom via messaging platform WhatsApp even before Tom had a chance to hear any of the material the duo had been working on for the group's next album. 5

CYHRA Feat. Former IN FLAMES, AMARANTHE Members: 'Battle From Within' Lyric VideoThe official lyric video for the song "Battle From Within" from CYHRA, the band featuring vocalist Jake E (ex-AMARANTHE), guitarist Jesper Strömblad (ex-IN FLAMES), guitarist Euge Valovirta (ex-SHINING) and drummer Alex Landenburg (LUCA TURILLI'S RHAPSODY), can be seen below. The track is taken from CYHRA's second album, "No Halos In Hell", which will be released on November 15 via Nuclear Blast Records.
Jake E comments: "For over 10 years, I pushed my feelings aside. I thought I was strong... but in reality, I just kept digging that hole deeper and deeper. One day during the writing process of 'No Halos In Hell' I was sitting by the piano and while I was singing some gibberish to make up a vocal line for one of the songs, I felt something. And when I went back to listen to what I had just recorded, I realized that this was more than just gibberish to me. I guess it was my own mind that started to process things.
"My brother, Fredrik, was taken away from me and my family way too early. Just as so many other human beings who decide every year to leave this earth on their own initiative. When we discussed the video, I really didn't 'just' wanna do another normal lyric video. My fiancée came up with the brilliant idea to involve the fans. We contacted our fanbase through our social media platforms, and the response was truly beyond overwhelming. We got more participants that we could fit in! The subject was close to our fans' hearts — and I am eternally grateful for their participation!
"My brother was strong, funny, and full of life and loved to work on his boat.
"This song is for people like my brother. I want them to hear this song before it's too late.
"We only have one life! And even if you sometimes feel as though life isn't worth fighting for, trust me, it is! When I look at my kids, I can't stop thinking about what a fantastic uncle he would have been, and it hurts me that he was never able to meet them. I know how much they would have loved him.
"My parents lost a son. And me and my sister lost a brother. He is forever missed and loved as we keep fighting our battle from within."
The follow-up to 2017's "Letters To Myself", "No Halos In Hell" was produced by Jacob Hansen and co-produced by Jake E. It is described in a press release as "one of those rare albums that defies being neatly placed in a genre box; coming out heavy and dynamic, the record is loaded with melodic vocal hooks that stay nailed to the brain for days, achieving maximum impact throughout. Fusing a relentless energy and heaviness the best way possible was CYHRA's main focus this time out."
"No Halos In Hell" will be available as a two-CD digipak, as well as on black vinyl and download.
Track listing:
01. Out Of My Life
02. No Halos In Hell
03. Battle From Within
04. I Am The One
05. Bye Bye Forever
06. Dreams Gone Wrong
07. Lost In Time
08. Kings Tonight
09. I Had Your Back
10. Blood Brothers
11. Hit Me
12. Man Of Eternal Rain
The bonus CD in the limited digipak features six additional songs, three of which are exclusive acoustic versions.
Last year, Jake told Finland's Tuonela magazine about the songwriting process for CYHRA's next studio album: "It started off that me and Jesper started to sit down and make the foundations of songs. Then Euge came in and had tons of ideas and then we sent it over to Alex. We threw stuff back and forth, so this was a complete band effort this time. Everyone was involved both in musical writing and in lyric writing."
Added Alex: "It was very organic. A lot happened in the studio. This time, the demos were rougher and less detailed than on the first one. The first one, Jake and Jesper had worked out a couple of songs too detailed then you don't have much space anymore to do things. You're just used to what it sounds like. You're more or less trying to do it the same way in the studio. This time, it was very organic and a lot of collaboration in the studio. It was great."
Said Euge: "We wrote songs in the studio. It was really inspiring because we were all there at the same time because the first album was done. I write guitars in my own studio, but we were all there and living there together, so it was 24/7 together for the four weeks, so there was a lot inspiration."
Continued Jake: "I don't get how we did it the last time. The first album, Alex recorded the drums in Gothenburg together with the guitars and then we switched studios for the bass to a complete other studio in Sweden. Then I flew to New York to do the vocals. Then Euge did his parts in Riga, then we mixed in Denmark. It was the biggest fucking puzzle last time. This time, we decided that we're going to go to one place."
Regarding how CYHRA's sound progressed on its forthcoming second album, Jake said: "We found our sound with the first album. We knew already what kind of music we wanted to play and how we wanted it to sound. Of course, two albums will sound differently, but not to the [extent] that they will be over here [holds hands wide apart]."
Added Alex: "We have a sound. It's clearly the same band. It changed and evolved, but I think it's mostly Euge having a bigger part in the writing and the playing of the album and having the mindset of having two guitars on the album. So, naturally, it's more riff-oriented, more guitar-oriented than the first one. That is probably the biggest difference."
Asked what fans can expect from CYHRA's next studio album, Jake said: "[It will have] a little bit more live-oriented songs. We figured out that not a lot of the songs, but some of the songs on the first album didn't end up being that 'party' — if we can call them a little bit party poopers live, because they're great to listen to in general, but when you have a live set, it's hard. Usually when you release one album, you just get a couple of shows, and then you release a couple of more albums and your career takes off. We were fortunate enough to have our career take off pretty fast, and then we have to play the whole album, all the songs, because we don't have any other songs. But now with the new album, there's some songs that are faster and harder."
Added Euge: "It's a bit more guitar-oriented, like riff-oriented. There's more of those twin-guitar harmonized melodies and riffing than on the first album, but there's still stuff that has nice orchestrated stuff, so it's an evolution from the first album."
Said Alex: "In many aspects. The drums are more diverse than the first album just because on the first record as a band you have to find your sound and test the waters and see how far you can take things, what fits the band and I think all of us got an idea about how the band sounds when we started touring more and playing more. Then you realize, 'Okay, this is something I can do in this band and it works.' Then, on the second record, you can go a little more for that. But, the most obvious thing is the more guitars. More is more."
CYHRA made its live debut in October 2017 at Nosturi in Helsinki, Finland.
In early 2018, CYHRA completed a successful North American tour opening for SABATON and KREATOR.
CYHRA's European tour with new labelmates BATTLE BEAST will kick off in Sweden on November 15.

DENNER'S INFERNO Feat. MERCYFUL FATE Guitarist MICHAEL DENNER: 'Sometimes' Music VideoDENNER'S INFERNO, the new band featuring legendary KING DIAMOND and MERCYFUL FATE guitar player and composer Michael Denner, will release its debut album, "In Amber", on November 15 through Mighty Music. The official music video for the song "Sometimes" can be seen below.
Denner says: "The song deals in other words with the sentence 'what if' and things from the past that did not happen or worked out the way you hoped they would. The conclusion: why spend time on the 'what ifs' in life when you can go for the reality and facts in the things surrounding you?"
Denner is a very well-known name in the international rock/metal scene, as a former guitarist in the two most influential Danish rock/metal bands ever: MERCYFUL FATE and KING DIAMOND. Denner contributed with his distinctive guitar style and songwriting on classic MERCYFUL FATE albums such as "Melissa" (1983), "Don't Break The Oath" (1984) and also the KING DIAMOND classics "Fatal Portrait" (1986) and "Abigail" (1987).
Now, it's time for Denner to start a new adventure: DENNER'S INFERNO. Joining him are American vocalist Chandler Mogel (OUTLOUD, PUNKY MEADOWS, RADIO EXILE), bassist Flemming Muus (TRICKBACK, JOYTOWN) and a drummer with a common MERCYFUL FATE link, Bjarne T Holm (played in the '90s and also involved in the reunion recently announced). Together, they play heavy metal that should appeal to fans of MERCYFUL FATE, CANDLEMASS and '70s retro rock.
DENNER'S INFERNO released its debut EP, "Fountain Of Grace", on August 24 on vinyl and CD.
The band was born from the ashes of TRICKBACK in 2018 with a new, renewed lineup with '70s prog hard rock meeting doom influences.
Denner comments: "After a lot of thoughts around what to do next, I ended up doing what turned up to be the exact right move towards the music style I really love: '70s-inspired heavy rock. The choice of team for this one came very natural. Bjarne [T Holm, drums] and Flemming [Muus, bass] I've known for decades and exactly what they are capable to do with the rhythm section, and a good vibe to go with it. And by introduction from Mighty Music's Michael H. Andersen, I found the golden voice of Chandler Mogel, a New Yorker with deep roots in the same music style as I love to do."
The musician continues: "This time I chose a selection of songs I wrote with good people during the last few years and a few obscure covers of songs which have made an impact on my taste in music since my journey as a heavy rock guitarist started many years ago now. This album is for the listeners who like their music hard and heavy with strong beautiful vocals and some no-nonsense playing to back it up. Enjoy!"
"In Amber" track listing:
01. Matriarch
02. Fountain Of Grace
03. Up And On
04. Sometimes
05. Taxman (Mr. Thief)
06. Vens Of The Night
07. Run For Cover
08. Pearls On A String
09. Loser
10. Castrum Doloris
DENNER'S INFERNO recently signed a booking agreement with Artery Global and will be touring Europe in the spring and summer next year.
DENNER'S INFERNO is:
* Michael Denner (MERCYFUL FATE, KING DIAMOND, DENNER SHERMANN) - Guitars
* Chandler Mogel (OUTLOUD, PUNKY MEADOWS, RADIO EXILE) - Vocals
* Flemming Muus (TRICKBAG, JOYTOWN) - Bass
* Bjarne T Holm (MERCYFUL FATE, FORCE OF EVIL, FATE) - Drums
Earlier in the month, Denner said that he wasn't approached to take part in MERCYFUL FATE's upcoming reunion, explaining that he was only told about it two days before it was made public. 1

Listen To New SAINT ASONIA Song 'This August Day'SAINT ASONIA, the act led by ex-THREE DAYS GRACE frontman Adam Gontier and STAIND guitarist Mike Mushok, has shared the new song "This August Day". The track is the latest single from SAINT ASONIA's forthcoming album, "Flawed Design", which is due out on October 25 via Spinefarm Records.
"Two years ago this August, I went through the single most trying time of my life," says Gontier about the intensely personal song. "I had gone to a very, very dark place, and, to be honest, I didn't know if I would make it back. Not only me, but people who know me and love me didn't know if I'd ever be back. After a long and very difficult relapse with alcohol and substance abuse, and with the help of some very close family and loving friends, I found myself at a treatment center in Nashville. Not only that, but I found myself in an emergency room, hanging on to life by a thread. At that exact moment, on the other side of the continent, my life was changing in the best possible way. My son was being born. Not being physically present the day my son came into this world is something I will look back on and regret for the rest of my life. Albeit I didn't have a choice. For me, to be the father, the son, the brother, the husband, and the person I want to be, I had to go through that darkness, to finally live in the light. 'This August Day' is about all of that. It's about that one day in August that completely changed me — forever."
SAINT ASONIA previously released a music video for the disc's first single, "The Hunted", featuring GODSMACK's Sully Erna.
"The thing about 'Flawed Design' is that it took longer than we expected to make," Gontier explained. "But in the end, because of that, it turned out to be a really good piece of work. There were so many things happening in my personal life when we started the process in early 2017. I basically took a step back, took care of the things I needed to, and I went through a lot of extremely difficult situations I found myself in a bad place. But when I finally came out on the other side, I focused, we focused, and we made 'Flawed Design'. It's a very real, vulnerable look into the last few years of my life — the good, the bad, and the ugly."
He finished: "I feel confident in saying 'Flawed Design' is, without a doubt, the best body of work/music I've ever created. I hope it has the same impact on fans as it has on me."
SAINT ASONIA sparked into life four years ago when Gontier and Mushok (also an important part of the NEWSTED setup in 2013) decided to turn their joint ambition to make music that is "raw, real, and straight from our hearts" into a new band and a fully-fledged studio outing.
The result was their acclaimed self-titled debut, released in 2015, which charted Top 10 in Canada and entered the Billboard U.S. Rock Albums chart at #2. The album was driven by the Top 10 radio tracks "Better Place" and "Let Me Live My Life", as well as the high-concept video to the featured track "Fairy Tale".
Given the pedigree and profile of the musicians involved — they are collectively responsible for 28 Top 10 U.S. rock radio hits, including 17 No. 1s — the demand was immediately there for SAINT ASONIA to take to the road. Following an inaugural main stage appearance at Rock On The Range in 2015, the band set off on U.S. amphitheater tours with BREAKING BENJAMIN and DISTURBED.
In Europe, they guested on an arena run with MÖTLEY CRÜE, visiting the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Sweden, and Finland, as well as playing several dates in Russia and Eastern Europe. As a consequence, Gontier has been back to the region for extensive solo acoustic shows.
With Adam's cousin Cale Gontier of Canadian band ART OF DYING on bass and STAIND's Sal Giancarelli on drums, the latest SAINT ASONIA lineup is now primed for a comprehensive live campaign in support of the forthcoming sophomore release; this will include key festivals and headline shows, both at home and abroad. With a new deal in place and a new chapter primed to unfold, the four musicians are keen to place as much emphasis on the international arena as continuing to build their success story at home. 3

DEAF RAT - New Single "Tying You Down" StreamingSwedish hard rockers, Deaf Rat, will release their debut album, Ban The Light, via AFM Records on November 1. A video for the new single "Tying You Down" is available via all streaming services.
With Ban The Light, the band serves a dark longplayer with heavy riffs, strong melodies and seductive tunes to twist your mind. The title was taken from the first song that was written for the album – an emotional masterpiece about being different and about standing up for your individuality towards prejudicial people.
Singer Frankie Rich states: "I had a rough time in school being different in every possible way. I had a funny name, red curly hair, parents from a different country. On top of that I was listening to KISS and W.A.S.P. while the kids in my school listened to Backstreet Boys and the Spice Girls. I was miserable from being made fun of because I was different."
Ban The Light is a statement for everyone who has been made fun of in school, had people pointing fingers behind their backs in the street, or have had to put up with comments at work because of the way they dress, what music they’re in to or just because of the way they are. It will be available as CD and clear red vinyl (limited to 300 pieces).
Stay tuned for updates.

LORD OF THE LOST Release Official Music Video For "Ruins"Lord Of The Lost have released the eighth video from the chart-breaking album, Thornstar, for the song “Ruins”. Watch below.
Having shot the video in Guadalajara, Mexico on a day-off on tour, the video takes place in a country that has seen a big part of their Aztec culture disrupted. The local community didn’t let that keep them from striving and growing into something entirely new though, and ultimately became the country they are today. “Ruins” captures this fighting spirit wonderfully, shining a light on seeking grace and good things in the wreckage and that life and beauty can still grow from “Ruins”.
With "Ruins", Lord Of The Lost do not only deliver their - believe it or not - eighth music video for the #6 chart success album Thornstar, they also show how to use day off days on tour in a sensible way. The video for "Ruins" was directed during the Thornstar-Tour on a free day in Guadalajara, Mexico. There couldn't have been a more suitable place than the cradle and legacy of the past high culture of the Aztecs to frame this song.
