Watch Original FOREIGNER Members Reunite On Stage In Atlantic CitySeveral original FOREIGNER members joined guitarist Mick Jones and the current lineup of FOREIGNER on stage last night (Friday, October 4) as part of the "Double Vision: Then & Now" concert at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City in Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena. Drummer Dennis Elliott, keyboardist Al Greenwood, bassist Rick Wills and guitarist/saxophonist Ian McDonald played five songs with musicians from FOREIGNER's current incarnation: "Feels Like The First Time", "Blue Morning, Blue Day", "Long, Long Way From Home", "Dirty White Boy" and "I Want To Know What Love Is".
Singer Lou Gramm, who was originally scheduled to appear at the gig, was hospitalized last week at the Unity Hospital at Park Ridge in Rochester, New York with a severe respiratory infection, dehydration and fatigue. He hoped to be ready to appear during the FOREIGNER "Double Vision: Then & Now" tour and some scheduled shows with ASIA. Unfortunately, at his follow-up appointment, his doctor pronounced him unable to perform at these shows.
Gramm stated: "I'm very disappointed about not being able to perform at the FOREIGNER 'Double Vision: Then & Now' shows for all the fans. My doctor insists if I pushed myself to perform, I would be in big trouble. So doctor's orders, I ride the bench. Rock on!"
Jones expressed: "We will all miss Lou at our upcoming shows and we join all his family, friends, and fans in wishing him a speedy recovery."
Last November's "Double Vision: Then And Now" concerts were held in Los Angeles, California; Rancho Mirage, California; Atlantic City, New Jersey; and Uncasville, Connecticut.
FOREIGNER's first-ever ticketed reunion concert featuring all original members took place in August 2018 at The Sturgis Buffalo Chip in Sturgis, South Dakota.
Gramm and Jones's June 2013 performance of "I Want To Know What Love Is" and "Juke Box Hero" at the Songwriters Hall Of Fame in New York City marked the first time the pair performed together in a decade after Gramm left FOREIGNER for a second time. Kelly Hansen has fronted the group since 2005. Jones is the sole remaining founding member in FOREIGNER's current lineup.

Ex-JOURNEY Singer STEVE PERRY Promises New 'Christmas Music' This YearFormer JOURNEY singer Steve Perry says that fans can expect more new material from him, including "Christmas music."
Perry's first solo album in more than two decades, "Traces", was released exactly a year ago — on October 5, 2018 — via Fantasy Records (a division of Concord Records/UMG). He credited his late girlfriend, psychologist Kellie Nash, who died more than six years ago, with helping him want to sing again; she'd made him promise he wouldn't go back into isolation when she passed.
Earlier today, Steve took to his Twitter to write: "1 yr since Traces my 1st record in 25 yrs was released. TY for receiving it w/ such kindness. More to come incl Xmas music this yr. TY for ur support & acceptance of this new music. TY to my label @fantasyrecords for their constant support. It wouldn't be possible w/o all of you!"
This past spring, Perry told "The Jim Brickman Show" that the response to "Traces" has been "really great. It's been an interesting experience to release a record in this age that we live in. Meaning, it's such a different landscape… Now we're streaming, now we've got everything… all this stuff. And so it's been such an interesting experience to release music into the new landscape of what it all means. We're streaming, we're still selling some on iTunes…. Nobody sells records anymore; everybody's streaming. But I didn't do this to sell records. If people wanna own it and take it with them, then that's beautiful. But if you wanna listen to it, that's also beautiful, 'cause all I wanted to do — and I said this to many of my friends… The reason I make music again was, number one, to keep a promise that I wouldn't go back into isolation. And number two, I wanted to just see if I was viable as a songwriter, singer, arranger, mixer, producer. I wanted to see if I could even remotely do some sort of creative involvement with all that. And in the beginning, it was challenging, because of the new technologies. But now I've embraced the living crap out of all of it. I have a great studio."
Perry dated Nash for nearly two years before she died in December 2012 after being diagnosed with breast cancer. He mourned for two years, and then began recording again.
Upon its release last fall, "Traces" was met with wide acclaim and tremendous excitement from fans and critics all over the world. The album entered the Billboard 200 Albums chart at No. 6, Perry's highest debut as a solo artist and earned the Rock And Roll Hall Of Famer his best-ever chart entries in the U.K., Germany, Canada and Japan.
Perry reunited with JOURNEY for the first time in years as they were inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in April 2017. The iconic singer appeared onstage with his former bandmates as they each gave speeches, but did not perform with the group later in the event.
1 yr since Traces my 1st record in 25 yrs was released. TY for receiving it w/ such kindness. More to come incl Xmas music this yr. TY for ur support & acceptance of this new music. TY to my label @fantasyrecords for their constant support. It wouldn’t be possible w/o all of you! pic.twitter.com/92iQXcsWY7

PRETTY MAIDS Singer RONNIE ATKINS Diagnosed With Lung CancerPRETTY MAIDS singer Ronnie Atkins has been diagnosed with lung cancer.
The Danish musician broke the news of his diagnosis earlier today via the band's Facebook page.
He wrote in an open letter to the PRETTY MAIDS fans: "It's scary how your world can be turned upside down in a couple of weeks.
"I went to my doctor for a routine check complaining about some back pains in mid-August. I then went through numerous scans, bronchoscopy, biopsies etc. and spent a lot of time waiting for answers in uncertainty. And so finally three weeks ago I found myself diagnosed with lung cancer.
"Now this has by all means been a shock to me, my family and those close to me since it came totally unexpected without any typical symptoms and everything just happened and developed so fast lately.
"I'm already in treatment and underwent surgery two weeks ago, then spend some 10 days in hospital with pneumonia as a consequence apparently linked to the surgery.
"According to the medical staff my prospects are good considering it's lung cancer. However, I will have to undertake further treatment the next couple of months to be on the safe side. This means that I unfortunately will have to step back from most musical activities concerts etc. for an indefinite period of time.
"I'm going into this with a positive mindset and with the continuing love and support from my family and friends I'm determined to battle this disease the best I can -God willing!"
According to PRETTY MAIDS, all of the band's previously announced shows have been canceled and all of the group's "plans are on hold." The band says: "ALL focus is now on Ronnie's health and undergoing treatment."
Formed in early 1982 by Atkins and guitarist Ken Hammer, PRETTY MAIDS quickly established itself as a band to be taken seriously. In April 1987, "Future World", the band's third album recorded in the USA, was released to great acclaim and is still today regarded as a "classic."
After the release of the follow-up album "Jump The Gun" (produced by DEEP PURPLE's Roger Glover), PRETTY MAIDS in 1991 were on the verge of a breakup. However, Hammer and Atkins found a new rhythm section and in 1992 released the "Sin - Decade", a record that would reveal that PRETTY MAIDS was still a force to be reckoned with, despite the fact that the metal scene now was overrun by the grunge movement. "Sin - Decade" became a huge success in Japan and gave the band a big radio hit with the single "Please Don't Leave Me", laying the foundation for the band in the East that would last for the next decade.
During the ensuing years, PRETTY MAIDS continued to release albums usually followed by European and Japanese tours.
In a 2013 interview with Myglobalmind, Atkins joked that the secret to keeping his voice in shape was "twenty cigarettes a day and little drink now and then."
PRETTY MAIDS' new album, "Undress Your Madness", is scheduled for release on November 8 via Frontiers Music Srl.
We are sorry to announce these bad news
Our brother Ronnie has recently been diagnosed with lung cancer…
This means we...

VAN HALEN Has Been Dealing With 'Some Health Issues,' Says Longtime Friend STEVE LUKATHERTOTO guitarist Steve Lukather has confirmed that "health issues" are at least partly to blame for VAN HALEN's summer touring plans not materializing this year.
A longtime friend of Eddie Van Halen, Lukather addressed the rumors about the iconic guitarist's physical well-being just days before singer David Lee Roth said in an interview that he believes the classic lineup of VAN HALEN is over.
Lukather was asked about VAN HALEN's status during an appearance on a recent episode of "The Eddie Trunk Podcast". He said: "I love Ed and Alex [Van Halen]; they've been friends of mine for 40 years. I'm still friends with Mike [Anthony]. I love all those guys. I'm Switzerland, man. I don't get in the middle of all that.
"I look you right in the eye and say, listen, I've been in contact with Ed. We text all the time. I really can't say much, man. I don't wanna say anything.
"Everybody wants VAN HALEN back — nobody more than me, 'cause I still think they're one of the greatest rock and roll bands of all time," he continued. "Eddie changed the planet [with his guitar playing].
"Him and Alex are sitting there laying back and they're waiting to see what happens next. I think they're on a hiatus. There's been some health issues that they're dealing with and stuff like that. We're older guys now, and to go on the road, and stuff like that, it requires a lot of extra effort in terms of as a human being.
"All I'm gonna say is I don't think there's any drama issues that are keeping them from working right now," Steve added. "I'm not the guy to say anything. I love those brothers so much and we've always had a great relationship. I'm a big fan and also adore them as human beings."
VAN HALEN last performed on October 4, 2015 at L.A.'s Hollywood Bowl. In August, during a chat with Phoenix's KSLX, Roth declared "I'm the face of VAN HALEN from this point on, most likely. I'm not sure what's happening with Ed, but he's probably not gonna answer the bell this time. It's not my place to guess."
Earlier this year, rumors were rampant that the classic-era lineup of VAN HALEN would reunite for the first time since 1984. It's unclear why the tour didn't happen, though there has been online chatter that a health setback involving Eddie Van Halen might have been responsible.
The guitarist was treated for tongue cancer in 2000, resulting in surgery which removed a third of his tongue. He was declared cancer-free in 2002.
In 2012, Eddie Van Halen underwent emergency surgery, having been suffering from a severe case of diverticulitis. The disease is a digestive disorder which involves an inflammation and infection of the colon.
Roth reunited with VAN HALEN in 2007 after 23 years apart and released a comeback album, "A Different Kind Of Truth", in 2012. 1

CREAMGinger Baker, one of the most brilliant, versatile and turbulent drummers in the history of British music, has died aged 80.
His family had previously made it public that he was critically ill and asked fans to “please keep him in your prayers”. His Facebook page said he “passed away peacefully” on Sunday morning.
Baker was born in 1939 in Lewisham, south London, and grew up amid the blitz; his father was killed in action in 1943. He began drumming in his mid-teens, remembering in 2009: “I’d never sat behind a kit before, but I sat down – and I could play! One of the musicians turned round and said, ‘Bloody hell, we’ve got a drummer’, and I thought, ‘Bloody hell, I’m a drummer!’”
Early work came with the jazz guitarist Diz Disley – which ended when an 18-year-old Baker set fire to a hotel while on tour in Europe – and with bandleader Terry Lightfoot. He played blues in Blues Incorporated – including guest appearances with an early incarnation of the Rolling Stones – and US R&B with the Graham Bond Organisation, both alongside Jack Bruce on bass guitar.
Despite considerable friction between Baker and Bruce, the pair in 1966 formed Cream with Eric Clapton, who had previously played with the Yardbirds and John Mayall. Cream helped define the psychedelic rock sound of the decade, with Baker bringing both a jazz sensibility – Toad, from debut album Fresh Cream, features one of the first ever drum solos in rock – and a hard-hitting style, using two bass drums, that pointed towards heavy metal. 7

CRADLE OF FILTH Cancels Shows To Focus On New Studio AlbumBritish extreme metallers CRADLE OF FILTH have announced the cancelation of three European shows, as well as a concert in Tel Aviv, "due to time restraints concerning writing and pre-production" for the band's upcoming album.
CRADLE OF FILTH said in a statement: "Having played literally all over the world this year, it is unfortunate that keeping the band this busy has forged an ever-decreasing window in which to fit everything in and so it is with some regret that we have to announce the cancellation of these shows. That being said, Tel Aviv will be moved to a slot next year to coincide with COF's first tour of China. The headline show at the Entrepot in Bruges, Belgium on November 2nd remains unaffected.
"Once again, sincere apologies for this sudden turn of events. The next thing on our very metal agenda (and the last of a busy year) is the grandiose London Palladium performance on 19th October. The nightmare before All Hallow's Eve! And brethren. please watch the heavens for a much pleasanter CRADLE announcement later this week..."
Affected shows:
Oct. 15 - Collosseum - Košice, Slovakia
Oct. 16 - Reithalle - Dresden, Germany
Oct. 17 - Ninkasi Gerland - Lyon, France
Oct. 31 - Barby Club - Tel Aviv, Israel
Earlier in the year, CRADLE OF FILTH frontman Dani Filth told the "Rocknroll Beer Guy" podcast that the material that has already been written for the band's next album is "sounding great. It's just a step up from the last record, but we're trying to explore new horizons as well — mix some things up a little bit," he said. "What I've heard is awesome. It's decidedly CRADLE OF FILTH, and it's the best CRADLE OF FILTH that we can muster. The last few records, a lot of people said, 'Wow, this is a return to the olden glory days,' whatever. I think that myself, but I don't know if that reflects everybody's opinions. But, yeah, now I'm not gonna say it's darker and heavier. I mean, we've done that, and there's only so far you can go forward with that. We're just gonna experiment a little bit."
CRADLE OF FILTH performed its third album, 1998's "Cruelty And The Beast", in its entirety at several shows this spring and summer, including at the Dokk'em Open Air and Summer Breeze festivals.

PAUL STANLEY Putting Finishing Touches On SOUL STATION AlbumKISS frontman Paul Stanley is putting the finishing touches on the debut album from his R&B band SOUL STATION.
On Friday (October 4), Stanley shared a photo of him with some of his SOUL STATION bandmates in the studio, along with the following caption: "SOUL STATION In The Studio! Home Stretch Now!"
Earlier this year, Stanley told the Real Radio 104.1 radio station that he wanted to wait for the right time to release the SOUL STATION LP. "It really deserves full attention and my full commitment," he explained. "So until we can do great live performances — the band is amazing live — and until we can promote it the way we should, it's just going to simmer. But it's really just mind-blowing good. These are songs that, for one reason or another, have been relegated to samples on a rap tune. And I don't wanna hear background music for a rhyme — I wanna hear those songs.'
He continued: "This band is 13 people strong, and everybody's played with Smokey [Robinson] and Stevie [Wonder] and THE TEMPS [THE TEMPTATIONS] and Natalie Cole and Whitney Houston, and we knock those songs out of the park."
Asked if he gets any hate from KISS fans for making an album that is stylistically far removed from the music his main band is best known for producing, Stanley said: "I'm sure there are some people who'd rather me doing a KISS album or something like that, but when you sign on with me, you understand that we're both in this together, and sometimes I have to do what I need to do. And that's part of the joy and the reward for me. So I would rather do a great SOUL STATION album right now than tamper with KISS or the KISS legacy and do something that I'm really not feeling at the moment."
A couple of years ago, Stanley spoke to Rock Cellar Magazine about how the idea for SOUL STATION first came about. He said: "Well, my roots are much more broad and varied than some people might realize. This is funny; I was having tea with Jimmy Page in London and we were talking about this. I said, 'Before I ever saw [LED] ZEPPELIN or THE WHO or any of those bands, I saw Otis Redding. I saw Solomon Burke. I saw THE TEMPTATIONS.' So it's very much a part of my DNA. Motown and Philly soul and Stax/Volt, all that music is really, unfortunately too nostalgic at this point and used too often for loops and samples as opposed to hearing a great song. What's missing nowadays so much is great live performances of that material. What's being passed off now as R&B is usually a computer and a drum machine. For a while, I thought about that, and I had an opportunity a few years ago to put together something that was in essence SOUL STATION. We did a couple of private shows and we all looked at each other said, 'Why aren't we doing more of this?' It's great to have that coming from people who are not only in demand but working all the time with Stevie Wonder or Smokey [Robinson] or Pink or John Mayer. These are real crème de la creme players but everybody has the same passion for this music. To be able to recreate it, not in a sterile way but with the same passion and intensity that it was made with is something that we all feel very close to."
Asked what the greatest challenges are that he faces in delivering this material in a live setting, Paul told Rock Cellar Magazine: "There's a big weight on my shoulders because I'm singing songs by some legends, and if I can't deliver them, I shouldn't be doing them. So if I'm gonna sing Smokey or if I'm gonna sing Al Green or David Ruffin or Eddie Kendricks, you'd better be on-point or you shouldn't be doing it, plus the rest of the band is so damn good. They have played with Smokey, they've played with Stevie Wonder, with Natalie Cole, they've played with Whitney Houston and John Mayer and with Carlos Santana; I mean, the list goes on and on. For us all to be together as peers and be creating something this exciting, everybody on stage is smiling. We're all just caught up in the moment. To hear Crystal [Starr] sing 'I Want You Back' is just mind-boggling. Her dad was a backup singer for Jackie Wilson. Everybody's got their roots. From the get-go, anybody I ever called to be a part of this immediately said, 'I'm in!' just to have the opportunity to recreate and revive these songs; you don't get that chance."
SOUL STATION made its live debut in September 2015 at West Hollywood, California's The Roxy Theatre. The ten-piece band also features KISS drummer Eric Singer.
Professionally filmed video footage of SOUL STATION performing the Smokey Robinson and THE MIRACLES classic "The Tracks Of My Tears" at The Roxy can be seen below.

Watch Pro-Shot Video Of IRON MAIDEN's Performance At ROCK IN RIO FestivalProfessionally filmed video footage of IRON MAIDEN's October 4 performance at the Rock In Rio festival in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil can be seen below.
The band's setlist was as follows:
01. Aces High
02. Where Eagles Dare
03. 2 Minutes To Midnight
04. The Clansman
05. The Trooper
06. Revelations
07. For The Greater Good Of God
08. The Wicker Man
09. Sign Of The Cross
10. Flight Of Icarus
11. Fear Of The Dark
12. The Number Of The Beast
13. Iron Maiden
14. The Evil That Men Do
15. Hallowed Be Thy Name
16. Run To The Hills
All 90,000 tickets to the IRON MAIDEN-headlined "metal night" of this year's Rock In Rio festival sold out within two hours after they went on sale in April.
IRON MAIDEN was one of the first attractions ever announced for Rock In Rio, playing on the opening night of the legendary 1985 edition. Other unforgettable performances followed when they headlined the City of Rock in the 2001 and 2013 editions. That last one also sold out 90,000 tickets within hours. In October 2019, the Brits played at the festival for the fourth time topping the bill with their latest "Legacy Of The Beast" tour, which is being hailed by fans and media alike as the most extravagant and visually stunningly live show of the band's career to date with a setlist of decades-spanning hits and fan favorites, including some songs not played live for many years.
The concept for the "Legacy Of The Beast" tour was inspired by MAIDEN's mobile game and comic book of the same name. The stage set design features a number of different but interlocking "worlds" with a setlist covering a large selection of 1980s material with a handful of surprises from later albums to add diversity.
MAIDEN's current set includes a Spitfire buzzing the stage during the opening number, "Aces High". The plane is a 90-percent-sized replica of an actual Supermarine Spitfire Mk Vb registration number AA 853 from 302 Squadron that saw active duty in 1941.
MAIDEN's 2019 North, South and Central America trek comprises 44 shows in six countries, which, combined with the band's 2018 European dates, means that by the end of this tour, the group will have taken the "Legacy Of The Beast" show to over one and three quarter of a million fans around the globe.
The first leg of the "Legacy Of The Beast" tour opened in Europe last year to outstanding critical acclaim, not just by the 750,000-plus fans who came to see the show but right across national press and rock media, including The Times (U.K.) newspaper calling it "an extraordinary show filled with world class theatrics… a masterclass in performance and staging." 1

SEPULTURA Unveils 'Quadra' Album Artwork, Performs New Song 'Isolation' For First Time (Video)Brazilian/American metallers SEPULTURA have set "Quadra" as the title of their new album, tentatively due in February 2020 via Nuclear Blast Records.
The band revealed the name and cover artwork of the record during its appearance Friday night (October 4) at the Rock In Rio festival. SEPULTURA also performed the album's opening track, "Isolation", for the first time (see video below).
The follow-up to 2017's "Machine Messiah", "Quadra" was once again recorded at Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden with producer Jens Bogren, who has previously worked with SOILWORK, OPETH, KATATONIA, AMON AMARTH, KREATOR and DRAGONFORCE, among others.
Earlier in the year, SEPULTURA guitarist Andreas Kisser spoke about the band's recording plans during an interview with Kyrgyzstan's TV1.kg. He said: "Since September-October last year, we started putting ideas together, demos. Me and Eloy Casagrande, the drummer, working in São Paulo, just building the basic structure of the songs, and Derrick [Green, vocals] and Paulo [Xisto Pinto Jr., bass] working in their houses as well, putting their input. And we have about now around 10 songs. We would like to put an album with 12 songs — that's the idea — plus record some covers and bonus tracks for special releases and stuff."
He continued: "We're going in the studio in August in Sweden with Jens Bogren, which is the same producer and the same studio we used for 'Machine Messiah'. And yes, the idea is to put out the album in February 2020. We have a concept already, we have a name, but we cannot share it yet."
"Machine Messiah" was SEPULTURA's fourteenth studio album and the eighth since Green joined the ranks. Lyrically, the disc tackled the metaphorical robotization of society and the need to follow and worship someone.
SEPULTURA was formed in 1984 in Belo Horizonte by brothers Max and Igor Cavalera, who are no longer with the band.

ANGEL was discovered in a nightclub by none other than Gene Simmons of KISS, a man who had a knack for finding and nurturing talent. ANGEL was also known for their androgynous look and dressing all in white, a pure yin-yang contrast to KISS's own all-black clothing and elaborate stage outfits. In 1975, the glam-rockers were signed to the home label for KISS, Casablanca Records, ultimately releasing six albums (five studio, one live) uninterrupted between 1975-80 that mixed the best elements of glam, hard rock, and pure unadulterated fist-pumping melodic singalongs.
While ANGEL never quite achieved success as their labelmates KISS did, they left their mark on in-the-know rock fans of the era with tracks like the hard-driving "Rock & Rollers", "Tower", the perennial holiday favorite "The Winter Song", and their key contribution to the soundtrack of the Jodie Foster-starring 1980 teen drama "Foxes", "20th Century Foxes". The lineup for their self-titled 1975 debut, "Angel", consisted of guitarist Punky Meadows, bassist Mickie Jones, vocalist Frank DiMino, keyboardist Gregg Giuffria, and drummer Barry Brandt. This lineup recorded two more albums, 1976's "Helluva Band" and 1977's "On Earth As It Is In Heaven", after which Jones would be replaced on bass by Felix Robinson. Two more studio efforts, 1978's "White Hot" and 1979's "Sinful", ensued before the release of a live set, 1980's "Live Without A Net".
ANGEL started to fall apart in the early 1980s after Casablanca pulled the plug on the group due in part to disappointing album sales. In 1981, Robinson and DiMino left to pursue other projects. Meadows and Giuffria tried to keep ANGEL going and came close to landing a record deal with CBS. But it didn't pan out, and ANGEL finally disbanded.
In August 2018, Caroline/UMe saluted the core output of ANGEL with "Angel: The Casablanca Years". This ascendant, band-approved seven-CD box set featured the Washington, D.C.-bred glam/rock outfit's six albums that were released on Neil Bogart's legendary Casablanca Records label, in addition to a seventh disc that contains mono mixes, single edits, soundtrack contributions, and other rarities. ANGEL expert Dave Reynolds contributed insightful liner notes to the box set's included 28-page booklet, which also featured rare photos and other memorabilia.

What you'll do: Welcome to “Shark Rock City,” where KISS will perform a live set off the southern coast of Australia to entice sharks, who love the low-frequency sounds of rock and roll.
This once-in-a-lifetime ocean concert takes place on November 18, in Port Lincoln, where you’ll board a boat at 6:30 AM and cruise along the coastline looking for birds, dolphins, and other wildlife. For the main event, you’ll head out to the deep waters of the Indian Ocean - one of the biggest feeding grounds for great whites.
As KISS rocks out above water, you'll also get to see what's down under it. Watch from a glass bottom boat as the music attracts the legendary band's biggest (underwater) fans. KISS has played plenty of wild shows in the past, but this one will top them all.
Spots go on sale October 14, at 6 PM, EDT. Watch a video trailer below, and get more information here.

METALLICA Perform “One” At Slane Castle; VideoMetallica has uploaded another live video, this time of the …And Justice For All classic “One”, at Slane Castle in Ireland.
Bloomberg Law is reporting Metallica has won a trademark lawsuit that’s being going on for more than a decade.
Chile’s Supreme Court backed the group’s request to annul the graphically and phonetically identical trademark for clothing and footwear registered by Chilean businessman Horacio Mardones. The ruling, announced October 3, marked second time Metallica has battled the businessman in court. The band in 2012 lost an attempt to oppose Mardones’ registration of the brand.
Metallica successfully argued that Mardones’ decision to register an identical brand was not mere coincidence but that he was using the registration to sell band-branded merchandise, Metallica’s attorney, Ricardo Montero of the firm Silva y Cia, said.
“We were able to show that the Metallica brand is well-known abroad and that Mr. Mardones was using the brand in bad faith,” Montero said.
S&M² - a must-see celebration of the 20th anniversary of Metallica’s groundbreaking S&M concerts and album recorded with the San Francisco Symphony - hits the big screen on October 9 for one night only in over 3,000 movie theaters around the world. Watch a clip of "The Memory Remains" below:

Former NAZARETH Singer DAN MCCAFFERTY: Listen To 'You And Me' Song"You And Me", a new song from Dan McCafferty, the former frontman of Scottish rockers NAZARETH, can be streamed below. The track is taken from his new album, "Last Testament", which will be released on October 18 via earMUSIC.

There are songs of reflection, like "You And Me", "Looking Back" and the very emotional first single "Tell Me", plus "Sunshine", which features a guest vocal by NAZARETH bandmate Pete Agnew, which are tender love songs.
McCafferty teamed up with Czech composer, accordion, and keyboard maestro Karel Marik, who is the author of all music and the producer of album, while McCafferty has written all the lyrics.
Recorded and mixed at Substation Studio in Rosyth, Scotland by sound engineer Duncan Aitken and mastered by Eike Freese at Chameleon Studios in Hamburg, "Last Testament" is a unique outstanding album which will surprise, challenge, and delight his countless fans throughout the world.

CLAWFINGER Performs New Single 'Tear You Down' In Leipzig (Video)Fan-filmed video footage of CLAWFINGER performing its new single, "Tear You Down", on October 3 in Leipzig, Germany can be seen below.
Last month, the long-running Swedish rap/metal combo released the official music video for the track, which has just been made available digitally.
The band stated about the lyrical inspiration for the single: "The current political situation is really... interesting, where one's perceived feeling is more important than facts in today's society. Using twisted statistics to scare people into bad decisions is a daily occurrence and no matter how one argues for its cause, there's always a horde of opposition tearing down the arguments with "whataboutism" or distorted facts. Vote for the truth, but whose truth are we talking about?"
"Tear You Down" arrives approximately two years since the release of CLAWFINGER's last single, "Save Our Souls". That song was made available four years after announcing CLAWFINGER announced it was calling it quits.
During the break from the studio, the members of CLAWFINGER were reportedly taking care of their families while performing sporadic reunion shows, mostly at European festivals. "CLAWFINGER no longer is our main job," the band explained at the time. "We all have other jobs and families to love."
CLAWFINGER's last studio album, "Life Will Kill You", was released in the U.S. in July 2008 via Locomotive Records. The CD, which entered the German Media Control chart at position No. 89 upon its European release in 2007, was recorded and produced at Sweden's Fear And Loathing Studios, a facility that CLAWFINGER runs along with the members of MESHUGGAH. 1

BLIND GUARDIAN TWILIGHT ORCHESTRA Premier "This Storm" Lyric Video; 7" Single Available NowPromising to be one of the most ambitious projects in metal history, Blind Guardian’s upcoming release will be well worth the wait. The idea of recording an orchestral album originally formed in the minds of the two leading lights of the Blind Guardian universe - guitarist André Olbrich and singer Hansi Kürsch - during the 1990s when Blind Guardian started to use orchestral elements to enhance their opulent sound.
In recent years the giant project started to take shape, and parallel to its epic sound cascades, the lyrical concept was developed. For this, Blind Guardian was able to find support in German bestselling author Markus Heitz, whose latest novel Die Dunklen Lande was released on March 1 2019. The book is set in 1629 and contains the prequel to Blind Guardian’s opus Legacy Of The Dark Lands, which will be released November 8.

"Point Of No Return" lyric video:
“It's incredible, that after 20 years we can actually finish this really exciting project. I am so happy and more than satisfied with it. Every single track unveils spectacular worlds and tells its very own story. With this album our biggest creative dream finally becomes reality,” says frontman/singer Hansi Kürsch, whose favourite author was equally excited about the collaboration: "It's really crazy: As Pen&Paper role players we used to listen to Blind Guardian whilst playing. And years later I get to work together with the band, which was incredible. It's amazing, the things that can happen sometimes“, Markus remembers. "Of course I immediately agreed to join! This creative collaboration is very special for me."
The two protagonists have actively cultivated their creative exchange over the last five years. “Markus is a great story teller; with "Die Dunklen Lande" he created the perfect setting and with the mysterious Nicolas the perfect character for our complex works. His inventiveness seems to be almost infinite. Absolutely impressive and very inspiring” praises Hansi Kürsch regarding the fruitful cooperation with the highly renowned fantasy author. Both sides tell in their own way the story of the mercenary Nicolas and his involvement in the Thirty Years’ War. Author Markus Heitz starts the story off in his book and Blind Guardian follow suit with Legacy Of The Dark Lands.
What is the secret surrounding Nicolas? Will he be able to cast off the chains of war and how will his loved ones fare? On Legacy Of The Dark Lands via Blind Guardian's Twilight Orchestra, André Olbrich and Hansi Kürsch fulfil their long-time wish of emphasising imposing choral singing and classical orchestral arrangements. It promises to be an opus unlike any other that the German quartet has ever released, or rather: an opus, as has never been heard ever before.
The novel, Die Dunklen Lande is available here.

ECLIPSE Premier Official Music Video For "The Masquerade"Swedish rockers, Eclipse, have released a video for "The Masquerade", featured on the band's seventh studio album, Paradigm, out on October 11 via Frontiers Music Srl. Watch below.
The album will be released on CD, vinyl, limited edition color vinyl/t-shirt bundles and digitally. Pre-order here. There is also a limited picture vinyl available for the single "Viva La Victoria". Order here.
The new album title Paradigm is no coincidence. Eclipse’s new album stands as a paradigm for the sound they’ve developed over their last albums: massive arena choruses over heavy guitars coupled with frontman Erik Martensson's stellar vocals.
Over the last few years they have per-formed to audiences around the globe including the US, Japan, Australia and Europe and have opened for giants like Aerosmith and Scorpions. Their albums have amassed millions of streams and charted in several European countries including a top 20 spot on the official Swedish album chart for their previous record.
Describing the new record Paradigm, Erik Martensson says: "I once saw someone describing our previous record as an accelerating motion, picking up more and more speed as the record progressed. Well, I think it is safe to say that Para-digm picks up where the previous record left off. We have a whistle blowing a few seconds in on the opening track and from there it’s just full speed ahead! We’ve written some of the best songs of our career and we can’t wait for people to hear them!”
The album’s opening track "Viva La Victoria" is the first video off the record and sees the band cooperating with renowned video director Patric Ullaeus who has previously made videos for bands like In Flames, Arch Enemy and Europe to name a few.
Magnus Henriksson, the band’s lead guitarist: "'Viva La Victoria' was the obvious choice for the first video and Patric was fantastic to work with. We had a bunch of fans show up on the set and made the video together with them which fits the theme of the song perfectly.”
Paradigm is Eclipse tour de force: the crafting of the tracks on this album is su-perb and overall this is a killer hard rock album with many highlights. If you like modern, well-played well-produced hard rock, don't miss it.

Exclusive: MINUS ONE Streaming 4 NON BLONDES Cover “What’s Up”Minus One has premiered their new video for “What’s Up”, a cover of the hit from the 4 Non Blondes, through BraveWords!
The band comments: "We had always loved the song by 4 Non Blondes! And when our manager came up with the idea of recording it, we thought it was great! We had been playing the song at our live concerts in quite a different way from the original song, and we noted that the crowd loved it. However, once we were in the studio we decided to do it in an again completely different way, as at the time we noted that lyrically it touched us in a specific way. It all came out in a period when we read of many suicides going on due to deep depression. We also had a case that was very ‘close to home’, so the whole process of re-interpreting the song kind of came naturally to us, to use the song for what we felt.
“We gave it a pensive, intimate mood in order to express our feelings! For us it was like this song was written for this.
“Although we were in the process to write our own material, ‘What's Up’ was the perfect fit for what we felt at that moment. We are very happy with the end result, and the video projects exactly what we wanted! We hope that people can relate, listen, watch, and maybe be more aware of friends and family that may be going through personal issues. You can never really tell who is going through depression most of the times, it doesn't show as much as we think.
“2019 has seen us busy playing around Cyprus, Italy and Greece, with the highlight of opening for Dream Theater in Athens. But we want to tour more, and we hope we will.”
Their new album,Red Black White, was recorded and mixed by Soren Andersen, produced by Soren Andersen and the band at Medley Studio (Mike Tramp, Glenn Hughes, Artillery) and mastered by Thomas "Plec" Johansson of Panic Studio Sweden and shows a super professional rock band that should appeal to both AOR/melodic rock fans with a modern Muse meets Imagine Dragon touch.
Minus One was formed in 2009 and is one of the best rock bands from Cyprus. They play over 70 live shows every year and have so far performed in UK, USA, Sweden, Denmark, Greece, Italy, Austria and Russia, and even acted as a support band for Glenn Hughes on a mini-tour.

Listen To ROB HALFORD's Version Of Christmas Carol 'Hark! The Herald Angels Sing'JUDAS PRIEST singer Rob Halford has released his version of the Christmas carol "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing". The track will appear on his all-new album, titled "Celestial", which will arrive on October 18 via Legacy Recordings.
Without question, Halford is one of heavy metal's all-time great vocalists — as heard through his highly influential and groundbreaking work with JUDAS PRIEST. But over his career, he has also proven able to master a variety of other styles vocally — including holiday-themed music.
"Celestial" is also available for pre-order on Rob's artist store — with exclusive merchandise and a limited, autographed metallic-gold color version of the vinyl.
Credited to ROB HALFORD WITH FAMILY & FRIENDS, the album mixes holiday classics with all-new compositions, and will appeal to lovers of traditional holiday music and headbangers alike.
"The great thing about heavy metal is it's got these kinds of multiple dimensions," explains the man also known as the Metal God. "I think when you look at it from an outside point of view — if you're not really familiar with the metal scene — it can look pretty intimidating. And it is a very strong, powerful experience. But it comes at different levels. I think the music that we've made on 'Celestial', for example, gives a display of that. Metal maniacs — as we call ourselves — are just as ready for the holidays as everybody else. And what we've tried to do with this music is to reach out to as many of those metal dimensions as we possibly can."
And judging from the ROB HALFORD WITH FAMILY & FRIENDS banner, "Celestial" sees Halford joined by a supporting cast of those very close to him — his brother (Nigel) on drums, his nephew on bass (Alex, son of PRIEST bassist Ian Hill), has sister (Sue) on bells, and twin guitar tandem of Robert Jones and Jon Blakey.
Once all the contributors were in place, Halford "went away and listened to a lot holiday music and Christmas carols. Traditional stuff. 12 tracks — including original tracks that I'm particularly excited about. And in that way, because of the dimensions of each song and the messages of each song, I think we cover a really broad platform. To me, more than anything, I wanted it to have its own characteristics and be a little bit more different than the regular rock 'n' roll Christmas album."
Halford has certainly accomplished this goal, as evidenced by such standout originals as the album-opening title track, "Donner And Blitzen", and "Protected By The Light", as well as reworkings of such holiday standards as "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen", "Joy To The World" and "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing", among other standouts. "'Donner And Blitzen' gets the snowball rolling for 'Celestial' — a song full of excitement, love and hope," says Rob. "You can hear and feel the power of Christmas time — energy roarin' with rockin' reindeers haulin'!
"I think the holidays for any family are a mixture of fun and excitement and apprehension of the whole event," he continues. "The magic of it more than anything else. It's just a beautiful time of year — which a lot of us wish would be for every day of the year. It's a beautiful thing as far as bringing families together. So, what better way to celebrate it than with your family, friends...and music. You must have music at Christmas time."
"Celestial" track listing:
01. Celestial [new song]
02. Donner And Blitzen [new song]
03. God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
04. Away In A Manger
05. Morning Star [new song]
06. Deck The Halls

08. O Little Town Of Bethlehem

HALFORD's first holiday CD, "Halford III - Winter Songs", came out in 2009. The disc was a collection of new Halford-penned tracks plus traditional holiday favorites presented with original arrangements by HALFORD (Rob Halford on vocals, Roy Z. on guitar, Metal Mike Chlasciak on guitar, Mike Davis on bass and Bobby Jarzombek on drums).
In a 2009 interview with Exclaim.ca, Rob stated about his decision to record a Christmas album with the HALFORD band: "Just by association, I think that when everybody heard that the Metal God was doing a Christmas album, they had a sharp taking [in] of breath. But that's to be expected. The fact of the matter is that I've the luxury of a solo career that lets me do the unexpected. Having said that, like everybody else, I just love the Christmas holidays. I do the same things that everyone else does. In my mind, it's not that much of a stretch.
"I did this for a few reasons but the main genesis was a moment for me personally to express myself in a way that I've never done before," he continued. "I just want to do what's important to me. As a musician, that's the way it should be. You stand by your choices. It just took a while to get to the point where we all wanted to do it. Once that decision was made, we ran with it.
"When you're covering such great composers, it's inspiring to have the opportunity to cover work that's already established and given various kinds of treatments," he said. "And for you to enjoy the challenge of putting your distinctive approach on the arrangements. That was important for us when we put this together: to make sure we could give it the HALFORD band stamp."
Regarding the band's ability to pen some thematically similar yet equally epic and raucous originals for the Christmas record, Rob said: "When we first agreed to do this type of record, there wasn't any inclination to go into self-composing mode because there's so much great material already out there. But the ideas started to flow forth and we were all so excited and inspired by the music we were covering that it was natural to be motivated and noodle around with ideas that came. You feed off each other's creativity. It was unexpected but it was great. It was a treat to show that as a band, we can also step forward in the spirit of the season and make music that fits with everything else we've done." 6

Listen To New THE DARKNESS Song 'Live 'Till I Die'British rockers THE DARKNESS have released another new song, titled "Live 'Till I Die". The track is taken from the band's forthcoming quasi-sci-fi concept album, "Easter Is Cancelled", which is due out on October 4 via Cooking Vinyl.
Frontman Justin Hawkins spoke to Planet Rock about the concept for the cover artwork for "Easter Is Cancelled", which features what appears to be members of THE DARKNESS beating down Roman guards as Jesus — played by Justin — attempts to escape from the bonds of crucifixion.
He said: "I'm depicting Christ in the artwork. I'm not suggesting for a minute that I'm Jesus. And the concept is multiverse theory. So, presumably, if we're allowed to talk about multiverse theory, as science folk, which we are, the idea of multiverse theory is that every eventuality that is possible to imagine exists somewhere in an alternate reality — like Schrödinger's cat times infinity. So, the idea is what happens if on the day that the Christ was to be crucified, he just said, 'Well, I'm gonna use my supernatural, wine-turning, water-walking abilities to fight back.' And the crucifixion doesn't happen, the Romans don't stand a chance — one of them is beheaded — and Jesus and three of the Marys, we're saying what if there's a universe like that? Imagine everything goes wrong. Isn't it comforting to know that in a universe somewhere, everything has gone right? Don't you find that comforting?"
The new album "Easter Is Cancelled" is THE DARKNESS's most exciting yet, a mini-rock opera examining the role of the musician in the barbarous culture of the world today. At the heart of the tale is love, loss and heartbreak, where redemption is ultimately found in the brotherhood of band friendship and the power of the guitar.
"Live 'Till I Die" is the latest song to be released from "Easter Is Cancelled" and follows the title track, the emotive "Heart Explodes", and the five-minute epic "Rock And Roll Deserves To Die".
"Easter Is Cancelled" will be released digitally and in full technicolour physical glory as a standard CD, digipak CD with bonus tracks, gatefold LP, limited-edition color vinyl gatefold LP, picture disc and cassette. The album is available to pre-order now from the band's official store with special signed copies and exclusive album bundle offers.
THE DARKNESS will play "Easter Is Cancelled" in full, alongside a set of its very greatest hits, on its upcoming headline tour. They will play 19 dates across the U.K. starting in November, and the shows promise to be incredibly special. The band will reflect the grand scope and vision of the album, alongside the finest hits from its spectacular canon.

Listen To New LIFE OF AGONY Song 'Black Heart'LIFE OF AGONY has released the song "Black Heart" from the band's forthcoming concept record, "The Sound Of Scars", due on October 11 via Napalm.
On October 12, 1993, LIFE OF AGONY's iconic debut, "River Runs Red", was released. Hailed by Rolling Stone as "one of the greatest metal records of all time," it was an emotional concept album that focused on a troubled teenager's inability to cope with what seemed to be the worst week of his life. The album connected to a broken generation in a visceral way through its cathartic message and hard-hitting approach, and the band developed a cult-following in the process.
Twenty-six years later, practically to the day, LIFE OF AGONY will continue the story of "River Runs Red" with "The Sound Of Scars", acting as a "chapter two" to their groundbreaking album. On October 11, 2019, the band comes full circle and picks up exactly where their debut left off, revealing just what happened to the troubled boy through intense audio scenes.
"Sound Of Scars" track listing:
01. Prelude
02. Scars
03. Black Heart
04. Lay Down
05. Then
06. Empty Hole
07. My Way Out
08. Eliminate
09. Now
10. Once Below
11. Stone
12. Weight Of The World
13. When
14. I Surrender
"By far, this is the best LIFE OF AGONY record you've heard in years," explains guitarist Joey Z. "We really went back to our roots on this one and tapped into the mindset we had when we first started the band."
LIFE OF AGONY vocalist Mina Caputo told the Fargo, North Dakota radio station 95.9 KRFF about "The Sound Of Scars": "It's always exciting to release new music. Whether or not it gets the accolades is irrelevant in a sense, but I'm happy that everybody is extremely excited. Reaction so far has been mega... It's definitely, hands down, my favorite LIFE OF AGONY album ever... We went to Ashland, Oregon and spent some time tracking drums with Sylvia Massy. We're in the middle of the mountains. I love nature, but I am a city person. I've had my bits of living in the forest in Sweden; I've lived in Miami; I've lived in L.A. by the hills. I love nature, but gravity pulls me back always to the city. A city person being in the middle of Ashland, Oregon was very therapeutic. The process has been extremely rewarding, and we had a great time writing the music, locking ourselves up in the room with one another. We had a great time with Sylvia. We're trying to keep that vibration up."
LIFE OF AGONY will embark on the "The Sound Of Scars" world tour, beginning in England this October with DOYLE (of the MISFITS fame) and EVOLUTION EMPIRE supporting.

Watch Pro-Shot Video Of METALLICA Performing 'The Memory Remains' With SAN FRANCISCO SYMPHONYLast month, METALLICA played two shows with the San Francisco Symphony for the grand opening of Chase Center, the new home of the Golden State Warriors.
The concerts, conducted by Edwin Outwater with a special appearance by Michael Tilson Thomas, marked the 20th anniversary of METALLICA's first performance with the symphony at the Berkeley Community Theater in 1999, which resulted in the live album "S&M" (Symphony & Metallica). A film of last month's concerts, called "S&M²", will arrive in theaters worldwide on October 9.
A clip of "The Memory Remains" performance from the "S&M²" movie can be seen below.
The shows each drew 16,000 fans and saw the four members of METALLICA playing on a circular, revolving stage in the center of the arena floor, surrounded by 75 members of the Symphony and Outwater.
The three-hour concerts were split into two parts and included a rendition of "Anesthesia (Pulling Teeth)" from METALLICA's debut album, "Kill 'Em All", performed as a solo by the Symphony bassist Scott Pingel in tribute to METALLICA's late bassist Cliff Burton.
Drummer Lars Ulrich told Kerrang! magazine: "The 'Anesthesia' bass solo was incredible. The way the fans reacted to that was goosebump-city. I loved the dare of playing 'Iron Foundry'. I loved revisiting songs we don't play so often like 'The Outlaw Torn' and 'The Call Of Ktulu'.
"I loved how Edwin brought one sort of dynamic when he was conducting the more rock stuff, and how Michael Tilson Thomas — the maestro, the elder statesman of his world — brought in some different pieces and encouraged the fans to understand where the symphonic and rock worlds overlap.
"Most of all, though, the fact that there was no barricade stood out. When was the last time you went to a rock show of that size without one? What does that barricade do? What does it mean? It's a safety thing, but in essence it's something that separates people. I loved just being able to walk out with the fans. At one point, I leaned back and let myself go into their embrace. That was a great moment."
Set I
