NECRONOMICON Streaming New Song "The Thousand Masks"Canadian black/death metal horde, Necronomicon, will be releasing their sixth full-length record, Unus, on October 18 via Season of Mist. The album track, "The Thousand Masks", is available for streaming below. Pre-order the album here.
Necronomicon vocalist/guitarist Rob the Witch comments on the album, "When all is said and done, one most return to the start and begin a new life. Unus is the first major Arcana that starts a new cycle in the evolution of any living things. Welcome to our new incarnation."
With Advent Of The Human God, Necronomicon presented themselves at a new height in their long lasting career, which began as early as 1988 with the founding of the band by guitarist and singer Rob "The Witch" in the deep northern part of Canadian province Quebec, called the "Fjord of Saguenay." Now, they continue to push the envelope with their sixth studio album, Unus.
Unus is a searing cacophony that blends blistering riffs, machine-like drums, and a symphonic ambience, culminating in a sound that calls to various metal icons such as Dimmu Borgir, Septicflesh, Behemoth, and Deicide. The record combines the furious elements of death metal with the symphonic prowess of black metal, creating the perfect synthesis of both genres.
Recorded at Sliver Wings studio, produced by Rob The Witch. Mixed and mastered at Darth Mader music studio by Logan Mader (Machine Head).
Artwork: Dragon caduceus design by Nestor Avalos, layout and artwork by Simon Bossert.

TONY HARNELL Pays Tribute To TONY MILLS: 'I Thought He Did A Fantastic Job' Singing For TNTFormer TNT singer Tony Harnell has paid tribute to Tony Mills, saying that the British-born vocalist "did a fantastic job" replacing him in the band.
Mills appeared on three studio albums from TNT — 2007's "The New Territory", 2008's "Atlantis" and 2010's "A Farewell To Arms" — before exiting and being replaced by a returning Harnell.
Mills died on September 18 after a six-month battle with cancer. He was 57 years old.
Harnell, who fronted TNT during its most successful period, took to social media on Wednesday (September 25) to pay respects to Mills, writing: "I didn't know Tony Mills well. We met at Dag Stokke's funeral in 2011 and sang together for the 30th anniversary of the band with the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra in 2012 and we spoke via email and on the phone several times over the years. He was always gracious and complimentary and respected the legacy of my work with TNT.
"I thought he did a fantastic job. I regret not getting to know him better.
"When I left in 2005 I handed the band a short list of singers I thought would be good for the gig. He was on that list. He was the 2nd most prolific singer in the recording studio with TNT with three studio albums to his credit. His work outside TNT is the work that's most important.
"I'm honored that Tony was the guy to take over and keep the band moving forward. There was no better choice.
"Tony's funeral was today. Many friends gathered to celebrate his life.
"Rest In Peace mate. Thank you for the music!"
Mills toured the world with British AOR sensation SHY in the '80s and established himself as a versatile songwriter and session vocalist with a slew of U.S. artists during the '80s and '90s. While fronting TNT, he maintained an active solo career and continued being involved in session work.
Harnell beat thyroid cancer in 2009 and later appeared in advertisements for the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists in order to share his story and help educate others about the warning signs of thyroid cancer.

TNT Guitarist RONNI LE TEKRØ Peforms Instrumental Version Of "God Natt, Marie" In Tribute To TONY MILLS (Video)Former TNT vocalist Tony Mills, who replaced original singer Tony Harnell and was with the band from 2006–2013, passed away on September 18th at 57 following a six-month battle with pancreatic cancer. Mills' wife, Linda, shared the sad news of his passing with the following:
"It is with a shattered heart that I announce the passing of my loving husband and best friend Tony Mills. He was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer in April of this year and lived his life to the fullest until he exhaled for the last time in my arms. He wanted to live, but wasn't afraid of death.
"Most will know him through his incredible contribution to the music world as a singer in bands like Shy and TNT as well as a solo artist and session vocalist. He leaves behind him a legacy that will live on for many lifetimes.
"Those people closest to him will also know him as a gentle and kind soul, a dedicated husband with a love for the quiet life, his animals and his motorbikes. His sense of humour was always on point. His last summer was the happiest in his life, at the end of each day he exclaimed, 'It's been another fantastic day!' He spent a lot of time in his workshop fixing up his dirt bike so he could ride it later this autumn. The evening before he passed, he managed to whisper: 'I've had a good life. I've had a GOOD life. I'm just a bit pissed about the bike'." - Linda Mills
Guitarist and leader of TNT, Ronni Le Tekrø, played an instrumental version of "God Natt, Marie" ("Good Night, Marie"), in memory of Mills at Hamar Kulturhus on September 28th.
Tony Harnell, who was replaced by Mills for three albums - The New Territory (2007), Atlantis (2008) and A Farewell To Arms (2010) - until returning to the band, posted the following tribute to Mills on September 25th:
"I didn't know Tony Mills well. We met at Dag Stokke's funeral in 2011 and sang together for the 30th anniversary of the band with the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra in 2012, and we spoke via email and on the phone several times over the years. I'm honored that Tony was the guy to take over and keep the band moving forward. There was no better choice.
"Tony's funeral was today. Many friends gathered to celebrate his life. Rest In Peace mate. Thank you for the music!"
Everyone at BraveWords offer our condolences to Linda, as well as Tony's friends and family.

LAMB OF GOD's 'Sacrament' Certified Gold In U.S.LAMB OF GOD's 2006 album "Sacrament" was certified gold by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association Of America) on September 27 for sales in excess of half a million copies.
The RIAA developed its gold and platinum awards program in 1958 to honor artists and create a standard by which to measure the commercial success of a sound recording. The program trademarked the gold record and formalized the industry practice of presenting awards to artists for music sales achievements.
Presently, the RIAA awards a gold honor for 500,000 units sold, a platinum honor for 1 million units sold and a diamond award for more than 10 million units sold. One equivalent album unit is equal to one album sale, 10 tracks sold from an album, or 1,500 on-demand audio and/or video streams from an album.
LAMB OF GOD previously scored a gold album for its 2004 LP "Ashes Of The Wake", which was certified in 2016. They have also landed platinum awards for their home video releases "Walk With Me In Hell" and "Killadelphia".
"Sacrament" was the second Epic Records studio release from LAMB OF GOD. It was produced by Machine, who had previously worked with CLUTCH, KING CRIMSON, EIGHTEEN VISIONS and EVERY TIME I DIE.

STAIND Guitarist On First Show In Five Years: 'It Was Amazing To Be Back On Stage And Playing Those Songs Again'STAIND played its first full live show in five years this past Friday night (September 27) at the Louder Than Life music festival in Louisville, Kentucky.
Opening the show with the classic "Eyes Wide Open", from the band's 2011 self-titled album, to the roar of an energized crowd, STAIND played a set packed with its biggest hits, including "So Far Away", "Right Here", "Fade" and the No. 1 smash single "It's Been A While", one of the most played songs in modern rock radio history.
"It was amazing to be back on stage and playing those songs again with Aaron, Johnny and Sal," said guitarist Mike Mushok. "The crowd at Louder Than Life couldn't have been better, or given us a better reception. Looking forward to Foxwoods this weekend and Aftershock… should be fun!"
Danny Wimmer, founder of Danny Wimmer Presents and creator of Louder Than Life, said: "STAIND has been part of my family since the late '90s and has been a big part of my career. I'm so proud to be a part of getting STAIND back on the road again. They feel more fresh now than ever, and their production was the best I've seen STAIND have. Welcome back! The rock world needs these songs. Now all I need to do is get them to write a new record."
STAIND will wrap up 2019 with two special shows that will be recorded live in Mashantucket, Connecticut at Foxwoods Casino on October 5 and 6.
Fans on the West Coast can catch the band's final performance of the year at the Aftershock festival in Sacramento, California on October 11.
Prior to Louder Than Life, the last time STAIND performed was back in August 2017 at the "Aaron Lewis And Friends" benefit concert in Northampton, Massachusetts. The event saw three of the band's original members — Mushok, singer Aaron Lewis and bassist Johnny April — playing a three-song acoustic finale with longtime drummer Sal Giancarelli. It marked STAIND's first live appearance in three years.
Earlier in the month, Mushok told the Louisville Courier Journal about the Louder Than Life gig: "For us, it's going to be great to be able to get back on stage and play these songs. We're definitely going a little bit bigger than we have in the past. And we've always kind of been a great-live-show-and-backdrop kind of band. This one will have a few more bells and whistles that we're going to be busting out on these upcoming shows. So I think it'll be exciting for everybody — not only the audio, what we're playing, but visually as well. It should be a great show."
Asked by "Rock Talk With Mitch Lafon" if the STAIND reunion dates will lead to further activity from the band in 2020, Mushok said: "That's a really good question, and one that I wanna know the answer to as well. For me, I think it's kind of like you dip your toe in the water and you see how it is. It's, like, 'Let's do these shows and let's see how it goes.' I think everybody's hoping that everything is good and we have a great time back out on stage playing these songs again, which I'm really looking forward to do. And hopefully there's more to come after that."
Mushok, who has spent the last four years recording and touring with ex-THREE DAYS GRACE vocalist Adam Gontier in SAINT ASONIA, recently told iRockRadio.com that STAIND was under no obligation to make an album at this stage of the band's career. "We don't have a label," he said. "It would be great to write some music. It doesn't have to be a full record at this point. We have a studio, and it would be easy to do. I think right now, it's, 'Let's get in a room together. Let's play together again. Let's do a couple of shows and see how it goes,' and kind of take it from there."
Asked why it is important for him and other musicians to continue to make new music in addition to going out on the road, Mike told iRockRadio.com: "I'm a musician. I love writing music and creating music. It gets me excited. I'm always very proud of what Aaron and I did together. He's super talented, and I really enjoy bringing my ideas to him and seeing what they become at the end. So the idea of being able to do that again, I'd love for that to be able to happen.
"We're in a position right now with these festivals that we can go do them without necessarily having new music, which is nice," he continued. "But I think you wanna have something out there for the fans too. It's great that they come to see your show, but I think they'd like to see the progression of where you're going musically as well."
Lewis released his third full-length country album, "State I'm In", in April via Big Machine imprint Valory Music.
SAINT ASONIA's second album, "Flawed Design", is due on October 25 via Spinefarm Records, a Universal Music Group label.

Progressive Rock Supergroup TRANSATLANTIC Reunites To Record Fifth AlbumTRANSATLANTIC — the multinational progressive rock supergroup featuring vocalist/keyboardist Neal Morse (SPOCK'S BEARD, THE NEAL MORSE BAND), drummer Mike Portnoy (SONS OF APOLLO, DREAM THEATER), bassist Pete Trewavas (MARILLION) and guitarist Roine Stolt (THE FLOWER KINGS) — is recording its fifth album in Varnhem, Sweden for an expected 2020 release.
On September 24, the group's social media platforms posted a picture of the four musicians together in a recording studio, with the caption: "Is it really happening?" Four days later, Morse posted a picture of the quartet with the caption: "TRANSATLANTIC rides again!" That same day, Portnoy posted a picture from the studio captioned: "Making great progress here in Sweden on #TA5."
TRANSATLANTIC formed in 1999 and released its debut album, "SMPT:e", the following year. Sophomore effort "Bridge Across Forever" followed in 2001, but the group went on an extended hiatus after Morse left SPOCK'S BEARD in 2002 to focus on his newly launched career in the Christian music industry.
The group reunited in 2009 and released third album "The Whirlwind", which consisted of a single 77-minute track, that same year. A fourth album, "Kaleidoscope", was recorded in 2013 and released the following year, when it debuted at No. 6 on the German top album charts. The band has also released several live albums and live videos, most recently 2014's "KaLIVEoscope".
Portnoy and Morse are frequent musical collaborators, having recorded more than a dozen albums together outside of TRANSATLANTIC, including three FLYING COLORS releases, three by THE NEAL MORSE BAND and seven Morse solo albums.
TRANSATLANTIC is not the only prog supergroup of Portnoy's that will release new music in 2020, as SONS OF APOLLO — his progressive metal band with Jeff Scott Soto (SOTO, TALISMAN), Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal (GUNS N' ROSES, ASIA), Billy Sheehan (MR. BIG, DAVID LEE ROTH) and Derek Sherinian (DREAM THEATER, BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION) — is expected to issue its sophomore album early next year.

SYSTEM OF A DOWN has blamed "creative differences" for stalled attempts to record a follow-up to its "Mezmerize" and "Hypnotize" albums, which came out in 2005.
Last year, guitarist Daron Malakian publicly accused singer Serj Tankian of not wanting to record, with Tankian responding that creative and financial issues with Malakian led to the stalemate. In a message on Facebook, Tankian wrote that Malakian wanted to control SYSTEM's creative process, take more of the publishing money and be the only band member to speak to the press.

DAWN OF ASHES To Release Pre-Metal Blade Collection Via Artoffact RecordsLos Angeles-based blackened industrial-metal phenom Dawn Of Ashes started out life riding the way of early-2000 electro-industrial, banging out dark club hits over two albums on the now-defunct Noitekk Records.
The band’s career exploded shortly after, signing to Metal Blade and scoring the support slot for Norwegian metal juggernaut Dimmu Borgir, all the while transforming their early sound to a blistering blend of blackened metal and screeching industrial. The band’s reliance on shocking imagery, horrid content, and topics from occultism and the left hand path earned them a dedicated fanbase early on, as they continued to experiment with '90s-era industrial, hardcore, and black metal.
Now hopelessly out of print, Dawn Of Ashes' early material has never received a proper reissue. Origin Of The Ashes collects Dawn Of Ashes’ first two independent albums In the Acts Of Violence and The Crypt Injection. The 2CD set comes with unreleased bonus material and is remastered from the original sessions.
The 2CD collection will be released on Toronto-based Artoffact Records on November 8th.

OPETH On Track To Have First Top 10 Album In U.K. With 'In Cauda Venenum'According to Official Charts, OPETH is on track to have its first-ever Top 10 album in the U.K. with "In Cauda Venenum". In the early stages of the U.K. chart week, the album looks like it could land at No. 8.
The U.K. singles and albums charts are published late Friday local time.
OPETH's previous album, 2016's "Sorceress", peaked at No. 11 on the U.K. chart, while 2014's "Pale Communion" entered the list at No. 14 and 2011's "Heritage" landed at No. 22.
"In Cauda Venenum" was released on September 27 via Moderbolaget / Nuclear Blast Entertainment. Recorded last year at Stockholm's Park Studios, the effort was made available in two versions, in both Swedish and English languages.
Regarding the decision to release "In Cauda Venenum" in Swedish, OPETH mastermind Mikael Åkerfeldt told Revolver: "Doing it in Swedish was just an idea that popped into my head, like, 'Maybe I should fry my egg in the morning instead of boiling it.' It wasn't any deeper than that. And I figured the music climate has changed so much, does it really matter which language it's in? That was it. And it didn't have me writing more lyrics — it just had me writing more music. And the music didn't sound more Swedish or anything like that. But it was a gateway that opened, and it was fun.
Mikael added that he is "not regretting" the fact that "In Cauda Venenum" was also recorded in English. "A lot of people [in the U.S.] are saying they only listened to the English version," he said. "So I was proven right, in a way. I can say a thousand times that the Swedish version is the original version, but it's up to people to choose. I can just hope that they check out both versions. But I do think the Swedish version is slightly better — only because it was first. It's more innocent. With the English version, regardless of what you think about it, that's me trying to copy a vocal line I had done in another language. So it's less exciting to me." 17

SKY EMPIRE Signs With Intromental WorldwideIntromental Worldwide has announced the signing of UK-based melodic prog-act, Sky Empire.
Stylistically, the music is guitar driven with a focus on heavy melodicism, a nod to the late great Dimebag Darrell whose heavy yet melodic riffing was a key influence on guitarist and songwriter Drazic Lecutier.
More broadly, Sky Empire's musical inspiration ranges from classic progressive, heavy rock and metal bands, notably Deep Purple, Rainbow, Yes, Rush and Journey through to more modern metal and progressive bands such as Iron Maiden, Pantera, Dream Theater and Symphony X.
Sky Empire independently released their first album, The Dark Tower, in early 2018. Soon after, the band signed with Dutch progressive record label Rock Company after The Dark Tower came to the label's attention. In September 2018 the album was officially released by the label to positive reviews noting in particular the songwriting along with the band members' strong musical performances.
Sadly, in early 2019, Sky Empire's vocalist Yordan Ivanov lost his life in tragic circumstances. Ivanov's bandmates in Sky Empire, alongside family and friends, grieved for his loss in the period that followed.
With a contingent of the original line-up not wishing to continue after Ivanov's passing, Sky Empire swiftly appointed former Degola drummer Inaldo Ramos Ribeiro to line up alongside Lecutier and bassist Jay Driscoll (who had earlier replaced the band's erstwhile bassist, Tony Snow, who performed on The Dark Tower).
Sky Empire will appoint a new vocalist in due course and look forward to taking their music on the road, performing live the music from the Dark Tower - and beyond...
Lineup:
Drazic Lecutier - Guitars
Jay Driscoll - Bass
Inaldo Ramos - Drums
Vocals - TBA

DAVID LEE ROTH: 'VAN HALEN Is Finished'David Lee Roth says that VAN HALEN is "finished."
The singer made the comment while speaking to Meltdown of the Detroit radio station WRIF about his upcoming Las Vegas residency, which is due to kick off in January.
Asked if he was "bummed out" that he couldn't tour with VAN HALEN this past summer, as had been rumored several months ago, Roth responded: "That's been canceled a number of times, and I think VAN HALEN's finished and this is the next phase. I've inherited the band de facto — whatever that means. I think it means if you inherit it, carry this proudly. VAN HALEN isn't gonna be coming back in the fashion that you know. And that being said, Eddie's [Van Halen] got his own story to tell. [It's] not mine to tell it."
Roth's latest comments echo those he made earlier in the month when he told the Phoenix radio station KSLX that he was "the face of VAN HALEN from this point on, most likely. I'm not sure what's happening with Ed, but he's probably not gonna answer the bell this time," he said. "And it's not my place to guess."
Asked if he was implying that Eddie Van Halen had been dealing with some health issues as of late, Roth replied: "I hear all the same rumors that you do and it's not my place to guess."
Earlier this year, rumors were rampant that the classic-era lineup of VAN HALEN would reunite for the first time since 1984. It's unclear why the tour didn't happen, though there has been online chatter that a health setback involving Eddie Van Halen might have been responsible.
The guitarist was treated for tongue cancer in 2000, resulting in surgery which removed a third of his tongue. He was declared cancer-free in 2002.
In a 2015 interview with Billboard, Van Halen revealed that he had given up smoking cigarettes but blamed guitar picks for his cancer diagnosis.
"I used metal picks — they’re brass and copper — which I always held in my mouth, in the exact place where I got the tongue cancer," Van Halen said. "Plus, I basically live in a recording studio that’s filled with electromagnetic energy. So that's one theory. I mean, I was smoking and doing a lot of drugs and a lot of everything. But at the same time, my lungs are totally clear. This is just my own theory, but the doctors say it's possible."
In 2012, Eddie Van Halen underwent emergency surgery, having been suffering from a severe case of diverticulitis. The disease is a digestive disorder which involves an inflammation and infection of the colon.
Roth reunited with VAN HALEN in 2007 after 23 years apart and released a comeback album, "A Different Kind Of Truth", in 2012.
VAN HALEN has been inactive since it completed its U.S. tour in October 2015 in Los Angeles, California.
The trek was VAN HALEN's first since an aborted North American run three years earlier in support of "A Different Kind Of Truth". 7

IGGY POP Releases 'Loves Missing' VideoIggy Pop has unveiled the video for "Loves Missing" from his new album "Free". Directed by Simon Taylor, the clip was shot on location at Sweat Records in Miami with a special appearance by Ale Campos from Las Nubes, Miami.
Like the song itself, the "Loves Missing" video reveals another dimension of what it means to be free, putting a visual face to raw emotions laid bare via close-ups of Iggy intoning: "She's thinking about something we all need/All need/Clock's ticking, not giving her room to breathe/To breathe/Loves screaming/Loves missing/Loves screaming, so quietly and in pain/Loves absent, it's failing her once again, again."
"Free" was released on September 6 by Loma Vista Recordings. Featuring collaborators Leron Thomas (trumpet/keys/songwriting) and Noveller (guitar/vocals), the album holds a singular place in Iggy's canon — and continues to generate appropriately unique praise: The New York Times called the title track "atmospheric and elusive" and more recently praised "Sonali" as "a rushing, fluttering, quasi-waltz that hurries toward an undisclosed destination, whimsical but driven." Rolling Stone lauded the album's "certain restrained swagger. The guitars simmer, never boil. The bass swells, and the keyboards shimmer behind him. And all the while, Pop flexes his baritone, expressing himself more clearly than perhaps ever before." And the Washington Post noted "Iggy haunts these new songs like a dignified spirit — which might make 'Free' an exposition on death, or transcendence, or both."

He has now, unfortunately, had to re-enter a treatment program to work on his recovery again.
"We fully intend to make our way to your part of the world as soon as health and schedule permit. We’ll let you know as soon as we can. Once again, we are devastated that we have inconvenienced so many of you, especially our most loyal fans who often travel great distances to experience our shows. We appreciate your understanding and support for James and, as always, thank you for being a part of our Metallica family.
"All tickets purchased to the shows in Australia and New Zealand, including Enhanced Experiences and Black Tickets, will be fully refunded. More details on how to obtain your refund are here.”

LEAH To Release Ancient Winter Album In November; "Redemption" Lyric Video StreamingAfter a crowdfunding campaign that far exceeded the goal, symphonic/Celtic vocal goddess, Leah, has revealed that her upcoming winter-themed album, Ancient Winter, will officially see release on November 15.
Says Leah, "Now that the crowdfunding campaign is complete, I'm really excited to focus on the release of this album in November. My closest colleagues have told me this album might be some of my best work yet. Regardless, I hope this new music will make the coming winter season much more magical."
Ancient Winter features eight tracks - five of which are originals and three traditional century medieval songs that Leah puts her own unique touch on. The album offers a slight departure from Leah's traditional symphonic metal into a more atmospheric, ethereal sound. It is a more earthy sounding album filled with new instrumentation such as fiddles and uilleann pipes, which give it a beautiful harmony of middle eastern feeling and Celtic folk and fantasy. Ancient Winter proves Leah's ability to venture into musical realms beyond metal.
Ancient Winter represents a new approach to holiday music as it celebrates winter themes in a way that is sure to give it a wider appeal. This is not simply a "Christmas album" but rather an emotional journey into transcendent ideals that will inspire any listener from anywhere.
For Ancient Winter, Leah tapped a top-notch talent cast of musicians, including Troy Donockley (Nightwish), Anna Murphy (Cellar Darling), Shir-Ran Yinon (Eluveitie), Oliver Philipps (Everon, Phantasma) and renowned string musician Rupert Gillett. This diverse lineup adds an international flavor to the album alongside Leah's beautiful vocals.
A variety of bundle packages will be available soon at theleahshop.com. Watch the lyric video for "Redemption", the first single from Ancient Winter, below.
Ancient Winter tracklisting:
"The Whole World Summons"
"Light Of The World"
"Upon Your Destiny"
"Redemption"
"The Messenger"
"Gaudete"
"Puer Natus"
"Noël Nouvelet"
"Redemption" lyric video:
Leah has amassed a generous and dedicated fanbase that has allowed her to crowdfund three of her five recordings without the assistance of a record label. Leah's first four albums, Of Earth and Angels (2012), Otherworld (2013), Kings & Queens (2015), and The Quest (2018) are a rapturous blend of a symphonic metal style carefully spiced with Celtic, folk and fantasy. Her emotive vocals are often compared to Loreena McKennitt, Tori Amos and Sarah McLachlan.

MOONSPELL Frontman FERNANDO RIBEIRO Confirms Reissue Of The Antidote Album Is In The WorksFernando Ribeiro, frontman for Portuguese metal veterans Moonspell, has checked in with the following trip down memory lane:
"The always watchful internet let us know that our album The Antidote was out 16 years ago. We recorded it in Finland with Hiili Hiilesmaa, and his first comment after we laid down the first tracks was: 'This is not rock and roll anymore. This is something else.' In fact, we were just coming from the Darkness And Hope cycle, an album we thought too goth or soft and very downcast, as sad as the band was back then with all our issues and problems. The Antidote became an album about fear and musically we dove deeply into eerie passages, death metal, lyrics that showed no resolution or overcoming, but rather how fear paralyses us, reducing our life into a succession of decisions that only allow us to stay and survive, not moving forward. A haunting of the body and of the mind.
We have also collaborated with our friend, the amazing writer José Luís Peixoto, who penned a whole small novel, inspired by the mood of the album. As far as we’re concerned this union with JLP was one of the band’s most successful moments, vindicating all the attention and dedication throughout our years of making literature a true and noble influence in our music.
This video was directed by Tiago Guedes and it stands like a trailer for a never made horror movie that could actually become a cool project if we had the money or the talent to do so. I don’t quite recall the response of the fans back then, I think it was quite solid yet some people were a bit far away from what we’re doing then. I also recall many new fans coming our way drawn by the feeling of being uncomfortable and scared due to the album heaviness and layering. So, same response as always, some loved it, others kept on dreaming about the nineties Moonspell.
The Antidote, originally released with Century Media Records, was our last album ever on this company ending our CM years. It will, in a near future, receive the reissue treatment via Napalm Records in colab with the band and Alma Mater Books & Records.
It’s great to know that a lot of our old records still capture people’s imagination and that our fans usually come back to them in the different moods of their own existences, so if you go take some time to remember about this album, today is a good day.
..and all the thirsty can now approach..." 1
