AEROSMITH Guitarist JOE PERRY Releases 'Quake' Video Feat. Vocals By GARY CHERONEJoe Perry — legendary guitarist, co-founding member, principal songwriter and co-producer of AEROSMITH — has just announced a new single, video and tour dates with his AEROSMITH bandmate Brad Whitford and Gary Cherone of EXTREME. The music video for "Quake" is available below.
"Quake" featuring Cherone is being released today (Friday, November 9). The hard-charging track with Perry's killer riffs and Cherone's gutsy vocals is from soon-to-be-released vinyl-only version of Perry's "Sweetzerland Manifesto" (Roman Records) and was debuted live earlier this year (January 16) when Cherone joined Perry at the latter's two-hour plus set at The Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles, California. The "Quake" video features Perry — the essence of cool — alone with his guitar and amp, firing up the song alongside the lyrics and a super-hip dancing couple who embody the tune's freewheeling rock and roll spirit. It was directed by Joe's son Roman Perry.
Perry and his band will perform the song live on his upcoming headlining dates, which kick off November 30 in Iowa and include stops in New York, Detroit, Philadelphia and more before wrapping up with three Los Angeles-area shows. These performances follow gigs in April where Perry debuted his new touring band featuring Whitford and Cherone taking on lead vocals.
Along with choice cuts from his catalog of solo records, Joe will be performing rarely played AEROSMITH classics from the band's early records, including "Toys In The Attic", "Get Your Wings" and "Rocks", among others.
our dates:
Nov. 30 - Sioux City, IA - Anthem at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino
Dec. 01 - West Dundee, IL - RocHaus
Dec. 02 - Detroit, MI - Crowfoot Ballroom
Dec. 04 - New York, NY - PlayStation Theater
Dec. 05 - Philadelphia, PA - Electric Factory
Dec. 07 - Cherokee, NC - Harrah's Cherokee Casino
Dec. 11 - San Francisco, CA - Great American Music Hall

Watch PHILIP ANSELMO Perform Mini-Set Of PANTERA Classics In LubbockFan-filmed video footage of PHILIP H. ANSELMO & THE ILLEGALS, the project led by the former PANTERA and current DOWN/SUPERJOINT frontman, performing a mini-set of PANTERA classics on November 2 at Jake's Sports Café And Backroom in Lubbock, Texas can be seen below.
The Lubbock concert took place four months after a video message from Anselmo was played at the public memorial for PANTERA drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott. It was the first time the singer had publicly commented on his former bandmate's death.
The event, which was held on July 1 at Bomb Factory in Dallas, Texas, included emotional tributes from a number of Abbott's fellow musicians, some of whom appeared in person while others sent short video speeches expressing their affection for the fallen PANTERA and HELLYEAH drummer.
Anselmo's tribute was a few seconds long and saw him speaking in his trademark deep voice. "Vince, always have love in my heart for you, man," he said. "Rest in peace."
b>Vinnie Paul and his brother "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott co-founded PANTERA. When PANTERA broke up in 2003, they formed DAMAGEPLAN. On December 8, 2004, while performing with DAMAGEPLAN at the Alrosa Villa in Columbus, Ohio, Dimebag was shot and killed onstage by a troubled schizophrenic who believed that the members of PANTERA were stealing his thoughts.
Up until his death, Vinnie remained on non-speaking terms with Anselmo.
Vinnie and Anselmo's relationship got more acrimonious when Vinnie indirectly blamed Philip for Dimebag's death, suggesting that some remarks the vocalist had made about Dimebag in print just weeks earlier might have incited Dimebag's killer.
Vinnie passed away on June 22 at his home in Las Vegas at the age of 54.
The PANTERA and HELLYEAH drummer was buried on June 30 next to his brother and their mother, Carolyn, at Moore Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Arlington, Texas.
PHILIP H. ANSELMO & THE ILLEGALS' sophomore album, "Choosing Mental Illness As A Virtue", was released in January via Anselmo's Housecore Records in the U.S. and Season Of Mist in other parts of the world. The disc is the follow-up to PHILIP H. ANSELMO & THE ILLEGALS' debut, "Walk Through Exits Only", which came out in 2013 to mostly positive reviews.

ALL THAT REMAINS Recruits Guitarist JASON RICHARDSON, Plans To Honor OLI HERBERT On Upcoming TourLast month, Massachusetts metallers ALL THAT REMAINS suffered a tragic and incredibly painful loss when their globally renowned, highly respected, and immeasurably talented lead guitarist and founding member Oli Herbert, unexpectedly passed away.
Herbert played on all nine albums in the band's discography and was especially proud of the new album, "Victim Of The New Disease", which is out today via Eleven Seven Music. The album is both a tour de force and a testament to Herbert's legacy.
The surviving members of ALL THAT REMAINS — Philip Labonte (lead vocals), Mike Martin (guitar), Jason Costa (drums) and Aaron Patrick (bass, backing vocals) — plan to further honor the passion that Herbert felt for both the album and the band by continuing on.
The band will embark on the previously scheduled European tour with SEVENDUST this December. Guitar virtuoso and YouTube personality Jason Richardson (ALL SHALL PERISH, CHELSEA GRIN, BORN OF OSIRIS) has come on board and will fill in on the upcoming trek.
Losing Oli has been a tremendous blow to the core of ALL THAT REMAINS," says Labonte, "but I know he wouldn't want anything other than for us to continue. He loved this record so much — it's some of our best work. We look forward to sharing the music with everyone — seeing our fans from the stage. From where Oli loved most. It'll be cathartic. We'll need it to be."
Prior to the album's release, the band shared an epic trifecta of new tracks "Fuck Love", "Wasteland" and "Everything's Wrong". The songs were met with near-universal acclaim and genuine excitement from the rock and metal communities.
Labonte offered this insight into the album, saying: "We decided to throw a curveball… and do the heaviest record since 'For We Are Many' in 2010! It was the perfect way to follow up 'Madness', where we did some different styles and songs and even covered a country song. People might've expected something more experimental, but throwing curveballs is what we do."
"Victim Of The New Disease" also features a vocal cameo from ASKING ALEXANDRIA's Danny Worsnop on "Just Tell Me Something".

SCORPIONS Launch Their First WhiskyGerman heavy rock legends SCORPIONS continue to make waves, teaming up with Swedish top distillers Mackmyra to release ground-breaking whisky, adding a distinct and original German twist to the drink.
The affectionate relationship between SCORPIONS and their Swedish audience is not only manifested with the addition of Gothenburg-based drummer Mikkey Dee a couple of years ago; with the release of Scorpions Rock 'N' Roll Star Single Malt Whisky Cherry Cask, the German-Swedish love affair is taken to the next level.
Matured in American ex-bourbon barrels as well as former Oloroso sherry casks, but with an additional finish in German sweet cherry wine casks, the meeting between German wood-influences and Swedish whisky-craft could not have had a better end result. While maturing spirits in casks that have held sherry, port wine or madeira wine is relatively common in the world of malt whisky, the use of the German ex-sweet cherry casks is guaranteed to pique the interest of the whisky aficionados. The added cherry sweetness to the character complements the vanilla of the ex-bourbon casks and the nutty buttery flavors of the sherry casks beautifully.
The bandmembers themselves are thrilled to see the whisky finally be released. "Finally, we have our own Scorpions Whisky ready to be released .... we love it!" they said. "This particular whisky gets to its perfect maturity in extraordinary German sweet cherry wine casks. We hope you all enjoy it .... let's rock the night and taste the sting!!!"
b>Angela D'Orazio, master distiller at Mackmyra, said: "Lovely guys to work with! Klaus, Rudolf, Matthias, Mikkey and Pawel were very nice and interested in the process. I think we managed to get a smooth whisky with a lovely aroma of fruity vanillas from the bourbon casks, soft buttery tones from the oloroso sherry casks as well as a sweeter touch from the cherry casks. The fact that we got a finish of both cherry and sherry gave the whisky a perfect balance."
Sari H. Wilholm from Brands For Fans said: "To be able to work with an iconic band like SCORPIONS has been a blast. They have a classic catalog of music, to say the least, and we're really excited to be a part of building a, hopefully, equally iconic catalog of drinks with the band!" 28

LINKIN PARK's 'Numb' Video Surpasses One Billion Views On YouTubeAccording to The Pulse Of Radio, LINKIN PARK's video for its hit song "Numb" has surpassed one billion views on YouTube. Following the death of singer Chester Bennington in July 2017, fans of the group launched an unofficial campaign to get the "Numb" video to that milestone, a mission that was only recently completed.
"Numb" is taken from LINKIN PARK's 2003 sophomore album "Meteora". It was the 13th and final song on the LP and was released as the third single from the record. It topped the Alternative chart for 12 weeks and the Rock chart for three. The video, directed by band DJ Joe Hahn, is the oldest uploaded clip on YouTube to cross the one-billion mark.
The song was remixed as "Numb/Encore", a collaboration between the band and rapper Jay-Z. Featured on the album "Collision Course", it was a massive hit for both artists and earned them the Grammy Award for "Best Rap/Sung Collaboration."
LINKIN PARK vocalist Mike Shinoda recalled a while back that "Numb/Encore" was one of the first things he came up with when the band was first approached to work with Jay-Z. "I was on the road at the time," he said. "I immediately opened up my laptop and went to the store and bought his a capellas, and I made basically the single and the B-side, I made 'Numb/Encore' and sent them to him. So we were off to a good start and we basically just started this kind of working relationship from there."
b>LINKIN PARK has not performed together in public since October 2017, when the surviving members staged a tribute concert in Los Angeles to Bennington. The band has not officially announced whether it intends to carry on following the death of Bennington, who committed suicide in July 2017 at the age of 41. 9

GOTTHARD: Video For 'What I Wouldn't Give' From 'Defrosted 2' AlbumReleased in 1997, "Defrosted" was the very first live album released by the Swiss hard rock band GOTTHARD. To this day, it is seen as a cult milestone in the group's career that helped establish GOTTHARD as the most successful band from Switzerland.
For more than 25 years, GOTTHARD has thrived in the global spotlight with a career that includes 16 No. 1 albums, over three million records sold, multiple awards and over 2,000 shows all over the planet. And now, 21 years after "Defrosted"'s release, the circle is completed as GOTTHARD returns to Sony Switzerland and Nuclear Blast with "Defrosted 2".
An ultimate compilation of unplugged versions of GOTTHARD's greatest hits, "Defrosted 2" was recorded this past March on the "Defrosted" tour. Even though the concept was the same as it was over 20 years ago — to capture the unique chemistry between the band and the fans — the circumstances that the band find themselves in are different. Both the band and their audience have grown, and yet after 25 years, it's the same unparalleled intimacy that GOTTHARD brings to its live performances that makes this record what it is.
After celebrating its "silver" anniversary with its latest studio album that set new chart records and saw GOTTHARD play shows at a number of prestigious festivals, "Defrosted 2" showcases 22 of the band's most iconic tracks as well as two brand new songs.
s soon as Leo Leoni, Freddy Scherer, Marc Lynn and Hena Habegger begin to play the first notes of the purest acoustic sound while vocalist Nic Maeder casually greets the audience in three different languages, even those who are new to GOTTHARD will soon feel at home. If you're not sold by this point, then the first chorus of the album's first track, the sensual and groovy "Miss Me", will serve as a stark reminder that the only important thing is the joy of live music. Andy Pupato is as faultless behind the kit as he was on the first "Defrosted", while Ernesto Ghezzi once again proves his talent as a live keyboard player and "The G-Strings" (the string quartet centered around Barbara Kubli), which performs live with GOTTHARD from time to time, provides a perfect dose of elegance. Newly appointed backing vocalists Maram El Dsoki and Barbara Comi's velvety soft vocals and radiant power give the band wings and imbue "Defrosted 2" with an exciting new charm.
Whether it's 1992's "Hush", the gilded "Heaven" from 2000, the "comeback single" "Remember It's Me" (issued after the tragic loss of original vocalist Steve Lee), the hard-rocking "Bang!" from the 2014 album of the same name, the tender "Beautiful" or the recent "Stay With Me", "Defrosted 2" is a well-paced journey through the years, including breathtaking solos, wild honky tonk interludes ("Sweet Little Rock 'N' Roller") and sincere declarations of love. And if you think you've heard everything after the wild trip through 25 years of classics, there are two new tracks on top. First, there's the mighty ballad "What I Wouldn't Give", which tears everything down in a powerful wave of emotion, and the party hit "Bye Bye Caroline", which is also the first single from "Defrosted 2". Lyrically inspired by STATUS QUO's 1973 hit "Caroline", the live opener of the U.K. rockers for 25 years, the track was created with Francis Rossi himself, who was also involved in contributing guitar and duet vocals. The song was spontaneously written backstage on the last "Rock Meets Classic" tour, when Francis, Leo and Nic sealed their new friendship directly by writing a new song together.
The official video for "What I Wouldn't Give" can be seen below.
Due on December 7, "Defrosted 2" was produced by Leo Leoni in collaboration with Nicolo Fragile and, as usual, Charlie Bauerfeind was responsible for the mix. The double album, which will be released in the high-quality Ecolbook format and as a four-fold vinyl version worldwide on December 7, 2018, was further refined in the Wisseloord Studio in Hilversum, where legends like THE ROLLING STONES, U2 and the SCORPIONS have already worked and recorded.

he band comments: "What took place at the O2 Forum Kentish Town in London on the 19th of January 2018 was pure magic. It was definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us as a band and as people. The work involved, the pre-performance tension, the intensity on stage, the energy between us and the audience — all of this was beyond anything we've ever done before. This event was not just a show, it was a birthday party, an anniversary celebration and most importantly a huge THANK YOU to everyone who travelled side by side with us for the last twenty years. And now, with the release of 'The 119 Show - Live In London', we can also share the magic with those fans who weren't able to party with us in January."
Scabbia explained to Tattoo.com that "there is a reason" January 19 was chosen as the date for the anniversary show. "It's because 1/19 is recognized as 'Lacuna Coil Day,' because we have a song that's called '1.19', so the people from the fan club and the fans decided to declare it 'Lacuna Coil Day,'" she said. "And we thought about making a special show in London, because, logistically, we thought it was the easiest way to reach, even for people who are not coming from Europe, our area. Usually the flights are cheaper. Like, if you come from the States, it's easier to reach London than Milano, for instance, [which] is our hometown. So we thought about London."

MAGNUM: Lyric Video For Live Version Of 'Lost On The Road To Eternity' Feat. TOBIAS SAMMETInfluential British melodic hard rockers MAGNUM will release a new live album, "Live At The Symphony Hall", on January 18, 2019 through SPV/Steamhammer as a 2CD digipak, 3LP gatefold, download and stream.
The lyric video for the song "Lost On The Road To Eternity", featuring a guest appearance by Tobias Sammet (AVANTASIA, EDGUY), can be seen below.
Every music lover knows that the closing concert of a long tour is always a very special event. For weeks in advance the audience has been able to read up on how much the band has been celebrated in their previous concerts evening after evening and they are all the more excited to see their heroes with their own eyes. After having played those numerous concerts, the band is in excellent shape, perfectly attuned to one another and of course they want to outdo themselves with this final show. One of those tour finales took place on April 19, 2018 inside Birmingham's Symphony Hall. It was there that the MAGNUM completed its "Road To Eternity" tour, which consisted of 42 concerts, and performed at the highest level.
"A truly magical evening," guitarist Tony Clarkin confirms, "especially seeing as the show was a sort of home game for us, since all of us are from around the area between Birmingham and Wolverhampton, although during the last 20 years we have performed in Birmingham only once. In this respect it was a special moment for MAGNUM in more than one way." Clarkin, vocalist Bob Catley, bassist Al Barrow as well as their two newest members, keyboardist Rick Benton and drummer Lee Morris, confidently played their way through a well-chosen mix of classics and newer songs, which rather successfully join the ranks of the band's long tradition of atmospheric rock songs. Sammet, too, was swept along by this enthusiasm and the blazing interaction between the musicians and their Birmingham audience when he went on stage for "Lost On The Road To Eternity" to lend energetic support to vocalist Bob Catley, just like he did for the track's studio recording.
ll that's left to ask now is what makes "Live At The Symphony Hall" any different from former MAGNUM live recordings.
"Bob and I have been in this band for quite a while now, but we've never lost our passion for MAGNUM," Clarkin elaborates. "We want to keep learning new things and are open to tips and advice. That's why we constantly revise our old songs, sometimes we play them a bit faster, sometimes a bit slower, we change a solo here and a part of the melody there. That way we not only keep our audience interested but also our own enjoyment in these pieces alive."

He comments: "I have been busy making my newest recording, 'Empath', over the past year. It has been a complicated and enlightening experience in that I have gone back to my roots in terms of what my motivations are for making music, in hopes that I am able to move forward as a musician being as true as I possibly can to my motivations. The result is an album that I am exceptionally proud of, one that is uncompromised and diverse in ways that accurately represent where I'm at now at the age of 46.
"The past decade of relentless touring with DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT had been something that caught up with me in a big way, and as a result, I felt I needed to step back from that world and analyse myself and make this music before stepping onto a stage again. The time has come, however, for me to take the next step in my career, and when asked about how I would like to do so, I decided the first thing I would do was a very intimate run of shows that allows me to play my music stripped back to just me and a guitar. The shows are at nice venues, and includes a spoken-word element with questions from the audience as well as aspects of my entire career represented in this one show.
"Before I tour with a band again, I wanted to have the opportunity to play for you, and meet up with the people who not only have made my work possible, but inspire me to continue. In a world of computers and social media, to be stripped of all the bells and whistles is a very important step for my reintroduction to the live concert world. I truly hope you'll join me and I look forward to being the most honest I can be with you at these special shows.
Thank you to Andy Farrow and Northern Music, Thomas Waber and InsideOut records, as well as all who have supported me during this period. I have not been as proud of an album as I am of 'Empath' in many years, and I really needed to get this out of my system."

Devin recently announced that he had signed a brand new contract with InsideOutMusic on the eve of their 20th anniversary of working together, for the release of new albums, including "Empath" in 2019.
In what has been a rare quiet year for Devin when it comes to touring, there has still been plenty of activity. On September 22, 2017, DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT played a special show at the Ancient Roman Theatre in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the landmark "Ocean Machine" album in full, as well as a set of fan-requested tracks alongside the Orchestra of Plovdiv State Opera. This concert was filmed, and recently saw its release as "Ocean Machine - Live At The Ancient Roman Theatre Plovdiv".
"Ocean Machine - Live at the Ancient Roman Theatre Plovdiv" is available as a limited deluxe 3CD/2DVD/Blu-ray artbook (with liner notes from Devin and a special documentary on the second DVD and Blu-Ray), special edition 3CD/DVD digipak, standalone Blu-ray and as digital audio download.
Devin's varied back catalogue is also being celebrated with lavish vinyl box-sets under the name of "Eras". Having already released parts 1 and 2 earlier this year, December 7 will see the release of part three, which features some of his most recent work with DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT, including the albums "Accelerated Evolution", "Epicloud", "Sky Blue", "Transcendence" and the first-ever vinyl release of the second part of the DTP's now-legendary Royal Albert Hall show.

LACUNA COIL: Video Recap Of 'The 119 Show - Live In London' ScreeningA video recap of LACUNA COIL's special screening of "The 119 Show - Live In London", which took place on October 23 at Screen on the Green in Islington, London, United Kingdom, can be seen below. Singers Cristina Scabbia and Andrea Ferro took part in a live question-and-answer session at the event, which was sponsored by Italian beermakers Birra Moretti.
2018 marks the 20th anniversary of LACUNA COIL's debut. To celebrate this special year, they played an exceptional show on January 19 in London at the O2 Forum Kentish Town. The unique, one-time event was filmed and recorded for "The 119 Show - Live In London", which is scheduled for release November 9.
Fans can look forward not only to a very special live performance that was accompanied by the U.K. circus group Incandescence, but also to a career spanning set including LACUNA COIL songs never played live before:

20. Our Truth
21. Falling
22. Wide Awake
23. I Forgive (But I Won't Forget Your Name)
24. Enjoy The Silence
25. Nothing Stands In Our Way
he band comments: "What took place at the O2 Forum Kentish Town in London on the 19th of January 2018 was pure magic.
So we thought about London." 1

LUCIFER'S CHILD Featuring ROTTING CHRIST, NIGHTFALL, CHAOSTAR Members Streaming The Order Album In It's EntiretyGreek black metal band, Lucifer's Child, will release their second studio album, The Order, tomorrow (Friday, November 9th) via Agonia Records. An full album stream can be found below.
The band, featuring members of Rotting Christ, Nightfall and Chaostar, recorded eight new songs clad in artwork by Daniele Valeriani (Dark Funeral, Dissection, Mayhem).
Lucifer's Child originates from Athens. It's music is a bridge to the world of atmospheric black metal, and a vessel for spiritual self-expression through lyrics. The goal of unifying these two elements gleamed clearly in the eyes of George Emmanuel, a prolific guitarist primarily known for his work as part of Rotting Christ (and a former guitarist of Chaostar), when he formed the band together with bassist Stathis Ridis (a member of another long-running Hellenic metal unit, Nightfall) in 2013. Born from a partnership between two talented musicians, the duo quickly expanded to take in vocalist Marios Dupont (Karma Violens) and drummer Nick Vell (Chaostar), and delivered their debut album The Wiccan in 2015. Encouraged by the album's keen reception, followed by several festival appearances (incl. Inferno Festival, Blastfest and Incineration Festival), Lucifer's Child returns in a darker, more extreme shade, passionate in outperforming its bold debut.
The Order was recorded, mixed and mastered in Emmanuel's own recording studio, Pentagram. He commented on the new album: "After three years of converging and sculpting our ideas and sounds we are ready to present our second full length album entitled The Order. Lucifer awaits!"

Sweden's DEFIATORY Premieres "King In Yellow" VideoSwedish thrash metal quintet Defiatory released their sophomore album Hades Rising via Black Lion Records in May 2018. The album consists of all the essences of what thrash metal should be — a fantastic trip to the emergency room, to have neck fusion surgery, to repair it from the continuous beating it just received from this album.
Defiatory recently filmed a video for the third track from the album, "King In Yellow". This track is a nod to Robert W. Chambers’ collection of weird short stories, The King In Yellow.
Defiatory was initiated in 2015 by guitarist Ronnie Björnström upon his departure from the prominent death metal band Aeon. Soon, Martin Runnzell joined the band to fill the vocal position, and the first demo track, 'Furor Unleashed', saw the light of day within a week after the initial collaboration between Martin and Ronnie. Shortly thereafter, Defiatory completed their debut effort, Extinct, which was released via Black Lion Records in 2016.
Defiatory released their second album, aptly titled Hades Rising, earlier this year. The album marks the continuation of the band’s collaboration with Black Lion Records. Hades Rising carries on from the aggressive thrash metal sound established on the debut album, evolving into more rhythmic and melodic sessions, granting more variances without losing focus on what is important in the old school style of thrash metal. Taking influences from the Bay Area thrash masters, Defiatory flourishes their music through comprehensible production approach. The sophomore album, containing 11 tracks of relentless neck-wrecking thrash metal, with an amazing artwork painted by Mika Rudin, is out now.
Tracklisting:
"In Hell"
"Dance Of The Dead"
"King In Yellow"
"Stronger Than God"
"Death Takes Us All"
"Morningstar"
"Down To His Kingdom Below"
"Metatron"
"Bane Of Creation"
"All That Remains"
"Hades Rising"

Norway’s RAGNAROK Begin Work On New Album25 years after having been formed by iconic drummer Jontho, veteran Norwegian black metallers Ragnarok have entered the studio to record what will be the band’s ninth full-length album. The, as yet unnamed, album is expected to be released during late May 2019 on Agonia Records.
Work on the album is progressing well, with all instruments already recorded, and vocals set to be laid in January. As with Ragnarok's last three albums, Psychopathology (2016), Malediction (2012) and Collectors Of The King (2010), the band has chosen to record in Sweden’s Endarker Studio, with Devo of Marduk once again producing, because, as Jontho, who has now switched roles from drummer to frontman, explained:
"Why change something that works? We know the studio so well by now and how good the facilities are, and, after three albums, Devo really understands what Ragnarok wants and how we work. He’s a great producer and we’re really looking forward to seeing what he does the new material".
Ragnarok will head for Canada later this month to appear at the Messe des Morts Festival in Montreal, and have been confirmed to appear at next year’s legendary Inferno Metal Festival in Oslo, Norway on the April 19th.

WE CAME AS ROMANS Will Continue As Quintet, Says DAVE STEPHENSWE CAME AS ROMANS singer Dave Stephens has confirmed to U.K.'s Kerrang! magazine that the band will continue as a quintet following the tragic passing of co-vocalist Kyle Pavone.
"We wrote those songs together and they're still my songs as well, but it's weird even for me singing his parts," Dave said. "I'm sure it's kind of strange to the fans and the band, but I can't imagine how much more strange it would be to have someone else singing them permanently. We don't ever want to add another member again, and at this point, we're closer than ever. We wanna do our best to honor [him] and make him proud, but never replace him. He definitely won't be forgotten."
WE CAME AS ROMANS recently completed a U.S. tour as the support act for BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE and Stephens said that there are tentative plans for the band to work on new music.
"I think as of now, we need some time to navigate our grief," Stephens said. "We got the tour done and a lot of those firsts that were going to be really difficult out of the way. I guess the next first would be writing music without him, and I'm not sure when that will happen. We definitely plan on continuing on. Kyle and all of us dedicated so much time to making this happen because we all wanted it so band, and I know he would be pretty livid if we threw in the towel."
b>Pavone died in August of an accidental drug overdose.
WE CAME AS ROMANS' fifth album, "Cold Like War", was released in October 2017 through SharpTone Records.
Pavone joined WE CAME AS ROMANS in 2008 as vocalist and keyboardist and appeared on all five of the band's albums. Their 2013 LP, "Tracing Back Roots", peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 chart. 1
