HIGH ON FIRE Completes Work On Eighth Studio AlbumCalifornia heavy rockers HIGH ON FIRE have wrapped production on their eighth studio LP, due later this year. The band has been busy in the studio since February putting the finishing touches on yet another blistering album.
"We are pretty happy with how the new material came together on this one," says drummer Des Kensel. "We usually go into the studio with about two-thirds of the record done, which can be a little stressful, but it forces us to make final arrangement decisions which would normally be put off in a rehearsal studio atmosphere. It also puts some pressure on us to perform at a higher level.
"The bar has definitely been raised on this one, at least for me," he continues. "There's a good mix of fast and slow. The fast has gotten faster and the slow is... still slow."
Bassist Jeff Matz adds: "We've definitely pushed ourselves musically on this album. The material covers a broad range of tempos and styles, but the overall sound and vibe are unmistakably HIGH ON FIRE."
And finally, vocalist and lead guitarist Matt Pike declares: "hold on tight! You're in for a ride!"
HIGH ON FIRE again teamed up with producer Kurt Ballou and GodCity Studios where the last two LPs were created. Additional tracking was done by Bryan Sours of Sour Sound.
The as-yet-unnamed release will serve as the highly anticipated follow-up to 2015's "Luminiferous", which garnered its own massive critical acclaim. NPR claimed that it "vividly captures HIGH ON FIRE's unique chemistry, presenting it in a tone that's both warm and aggressive to the point of leaping out at the listener."
The AV Club said the LP "aggressively illustrates that HIGH ON FIRE still deserves its place at the top of underground metal's food chain. It's hard to think of another band with this much-staying power."
HIGH ON FIRE has been confirmed for the 2018 Psycho Las Vegas festival, set to take place August 17-19 at the famed Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

ANDREAS KISSER Responds To MAX CAVALERA's 'Regret' Over Losing SEPULTURA NameAndreas Kisser has responded to Max Cavalera's recent comment that he wishes he had been able to keep the SEPULTURA name after the band's classic lineup fell apart more than two decades ago.
SEPULTURA's most commercially successful period ended in 1996 with the exit of Max after the rest of the band fired his wife Gloria as their manager. His brother, drummer Igor Cavalera, stuck around with the group for another 10 years before leaving SEPULTURA and re-teaming with Max in CAVALERA CONSPIRACY.
With only Kisser and bassist Paulo Xisto Pinto Jr. remaining from the classic SEPULTURA lineup, the band has continued making albums and touring the world amid constant calls from fans for a reunion with the Cavalera brothers.
In a recent interview with Broken Neck Radio, Max said that "the one thing" that he would do differently is he would have held on to the SEPULTURA name and never lost it. "'Cause it was ours; we created it," Max said, referring to himself and his brother. "That'd be one thing that probably would be smart — be smarter with your own stuff. Don't let people take it over, like how it happened."
Asked by Metal Wani's Carl O'Rourke if he has "any thoughts or perspectives" on Max's comments, Andreas said (hear audio below): "No, not at all. That's his opinion. What can I say? We did what we did, and he chose the path to go, and we chose ours. All I can say [is] regret is something very — how can I put it? — very bad to feel. I see stuff that we might have a different opinion, or, 'Ten years ago, if I [had not gone] A, I should [have gone] CD,' and stuff. It's not a regret. I think it's a lesson. You have to learn from it, and not be crying out about, 'Oh, I should do this,' 'I should do that,' and think about why things are [as] they are now, and learn from mistakes, let's say. In that sense, I have no regrets; I have just moments of learning. [Laughs] Because if you have regret, you're always gonna be there, I don't know, somewhere in 1996 — you're not gonna leave that place. Because you're always gonna be thinking about that: 'I should do that,' 'I'm supposed to do this and that.' That's very bad for your health, it's bad for your spirit, it's bad for everything — relationships with people and everything. So I prefer to see it as, as I just said, regret doesn't exist. It's just a way of learning. It's a lesson. [It's] not pleasant, but that's where we learn."
The current SEPULTURA lineup released its latest studio album, "Machine Messiah", in January 2017 via Nuclear Blast. 14

CANDLEMASS Returns With 'House Of Doom' Online Game, SoundtrackSwedish doom metal legends CANDLEMASS are back with an online game and a brand new soundtrack called "House Of Doom".
According to the game's official web site, "House Of Doom" is a unique game with music written by CANDLEMASS leader Leif Edling and performed by CANDLEMASS. The band has also been part of the development of the game that invites you into the world of extreme style heavy metal music, where both music and lyrics intend to evoke a sense of despair, dread and, impending doom.
Epic doom metal riffs from real instruments and doom-style graphics come together in this classic online video slot and result in a never-before-seen player experience.
"House Of Doom" is a five-reel video slot with 10 fixed paylines. It is a volatile game with a high payout. There are wilds, free(doom)spins and bonus scatter symbols (the Skull). Landing three skulls at the right moment triggers the Skulls Of Abyss bonus game, where hidden prizes can be won…
The "House Of Doom" soundtrack was written by Edling, produced by Marcus Jidell, mixed by David Castillo and mastered by Maor Appelbaum.
Edling said last fall that he was working on a new CANDLEMASS song that was "a part of something bigger, something really cool that will take the band on another adventure." He described the process as "very exciting and a new challenge for me as a songwriter."
CANDLEMASS's latest release, "Death Thy Lover", came out in 2016 as CANDLEMASS's special 30th-anniversary EP. The four-track effort featured singer Mats Levén, who joined CANDLEMASS in 2012 following the departure of Robert Lowe. 1

MILLE PETROZZA Hopes To One Day Release 'Ultimate' KREATOR BookAlex Stojanovic of Metal Master Kingdom conducted an interview with KREATOR frontman Mille Petrozza before the band's March 1 concert in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. You can now watch the chat below.
Asked if there are any plans for him to write a book, Mille said: "Yes and no. I mean, there is a German book already [Hilmar Bender's official KREATOR biography, 'Violent Evolution'], but it's very short. I have a friend and he has a fanzine in Germany called Ox magazine — a hardcore/metal magazine; really, really cool, very detailed. He also was the translator for the DEAD KENNEDYS book that came out. Me and him talked about writing a book together. And I would love to do it, but, like everything I do, it has to be cool and perfect and the ultimate book that comes out. So I need time, and I don't have the time when I'm touring all the time. It's a little hard to actually find the right mindset to go into details, because it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I think if you come up with the ultimate KREATOR book with all the stories and all the interesting things that happened in the '80s or '90s, whatever, and go really into detail, it needs to be done properly and not just rushed. That needs a lot of research, a lot of contacting people and trying to get all this stuff together in order to print and make it the ultimate KREATOR book. So, as long as it's not the ultimate, there will be no book."
KREATOR and SABATON have just completed a North American co-headlining tour. The 24-date trek kicked off on February 8 at The Van Buren in Phoenix, Arizona and made stops in Los Angeles, Montreal, and Philadelphia before concluding at Jannus Landing in Tampa, Florida on March 10.
KREATOR is continuing to tour in support of "Gods Of Violence", which entered the official chart in Germany at position No. 1. The cover artwork for the album was created by renowned artist Jan Meininghaus, who also made the limited-edition artwork for KREATOR's previous effort, 2012's "Phantom Antichrist", and has lent his talents to bands like BOLT THROWER, ACCEPT and OVERKILL in the past.

JUDAS PRIEST's ROB HALFORD On ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME: 'We Will Make It There Eventually'Rob Halford says that he believes JUDAS PRIEST will eventually be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.
Even though artists are eligible for the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame 25 years after the release of their first album or single, iconic hard rock and metal bands like IRON MAIDEN, JUDAS PRIEST and MOTÖRHEAD have yet to be recognized by the institution, which inducted GUNS N' ROSES in that group's first year of eligibility.
Having been eligible for induction since 1999, JUDAS PRIEST was on the ballot for this year's class of the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, but ultimately didn't clinch the nomination.
"It was a thrill to be nominated," Halford told Fox News. "We appreciate and understand what it represents to go into that great institution… It sends a wonderful signal to people. And the fact that we didn't make it? It was a bit disappointing. And we feel heavy metal should be represented more in the Hall Of Fame. But I think we will make it there eventually. We will. Next time around, fingers crossed, we'll make it to the hallowed halls and they'll find a spot on the shelf to put JUDAS PRIEST."

Rock Hall rules state that artists become eligible a quarter century after their first records were released, but the Hall also claims that other "criteria include the influence and significance of the artists' contributions to the development and perpetuation of rock 'n' roll," which is, of course, open to interpretation.
Eligible for induction since 1999, KISS didn't get its first nomination until 2009, and was finally inducted in 2014.
DEEP PURPLE was eligible for the Rock Hall since 1993 but didn't get inducted until 2016.
JUDAS PRIEST's new album, "Firepower", was released on March 9 via Epic.
The North American leg of the "Firepower" tour kicked off on March 13 in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania and will wrap on May 1 in San Antonio, Texas. 1

SUFFOCATION Guitarist: 'We're Working On A Farewell Tour' For FRANK MULLENTerrance Hobbs has confirmed that SUFFOCATION is planning on embarking on one final tour featuring the band's original singer Frank Mullen.
Mullen has fronted SUFFOCATION from its inception in 1988 to the group's breakup in 1998, and then from 2002 onward. Due to his job commitments, he hasn't been able to consistently with the veteran death metal act for the past several years, but he has always been considered an official member of SUFFOCATION and has performed on all of the band's albums.
A few days ago, Mullen announced that he would be exiting the group completely this year after one more tour, although he offered no further details.
In a brand new interview with Metal Underground, Hobbs was asked if it's true that Mullen will no longer be touring or recording with SUFFOCATION after 2018.
"I believe that Frank is planning on completely stopping," the guitarist responded (see video below). "He does wanna do, like, a farewell tour, but it's so hard for him, as well as for us, because there's so much of the world, he can't just take off three months and do South America, do Australia, do Europe, do America, do Japan, go to all these different countries. So right now we're working really hard on — especially between management and Frank — trying to find out what would be the best areas that he'll be able to do in the short amount of time that he has to do a farewell tour. So, eventually it's gonna come, and hopefully it never will. Because we all love Frank — he's one of my best friends in the world, he's always a part of the business of SUFFOCATION as we made this together, and after 30 years… It's not like somebody, oh, he just joined the band and he didn't do a show, so now you kick him out and that's it. No. Frank's been there for 30 years. Now he's my business partner, and it's a more adult relatsionhip. As I said, as time goes on, there's a lot more responsibility for him, and, I guess, all the rest of us who are just musicians, we can go and play in a band all the time and play guitar or go and play in a band and play drums. Frank is screaming his lungs out, and at the end of the day, he's getting his bad headaches and things like that, which, in turn, is making it harder for him to do the kind of touring that a band like us, a death metal band, needs to do in order to get out to the rest of the world and have people take a listen."
He continued: "So, yeah, we're working on a farewell tour for Frank, and it'll be sad if he decides to go, but hopefully he won't. And that's still up in the air to me. But I'm always never gonna let him wanna go. 'No, Frank, you're gonna do this now.' 'No, dude, you're crazy. I can't sit on an airplane for 14 hours anymore.' I'm, like, 'Yeah, you can. But, yeah, Frank's onboard, he's a good dude, and I wish him the best in everything he's doing right now, I wish him the best for his family and his job. And hopefully we can get him back out here to come to say goodbye to you guys, if that's really what he wants to do."
Asked how fans have responded to SUFFOCATION's current stand-in vocalist, Ricky Myers of DISGORGE, Terrance said: "Well, the fans have always actually embraced Ricky. Ricky had his own band, DISGORGE, and still has it — he was a founding member of it. I think a lot of people recognize that 'cause of the extreme brutality of things he does. Now, Ricky is actually singing, but Ricky is a drummer, so, for us, it's almost like a bonus, because Ricky can turn around and he can play drums and have an input. His timing is great, and all the rest of that, and also, he's got a pretty evil voice. So we're really stoked about him, and I think the fans embrace him a lot. From the Netherlands Deathfest, which we just played before this tour started, the fans have really, really [taken] him in, so I think that that's a great thing for us, and I think it's a good thing for him as well."
SUFFOCATION is continuing to tour in support of its latest album, "...Of The Dark Light", which was released last June via Nuclear Blast Records. 4

FREEDOM HAWK – “Danger” Track StreamingRespected Virginia Beach hard rock group Freedom Hawk will release its new LP, Beast Remains, on March 23rd via Ripple Music (Mothership, Blackwülf). The band’s fifth long-player, Beast Remains sees Freedom Hawk return as a four-piece with the addition of guitarist Brendan O’Neil. The culmination of years perfecting and solidifying their style, combined with the returned dual-guitar dynamic, sets the stage for further exploration of the sound they started nearly a decade ago. New track, “Danger”, is streaming below.
Freedom Hawk grew out of the surf/skate environs of Virginia Beach, VA. With four albums under its belt, the band has grown beyond its original sound and is now far outside the stoner rock genre, playing a concoction of groove-heavy rock ‘n’ roll with massive riffs that echo Thin Lizzy, Scorpions and Black Sabbath. Freedom Hawk combines weighted riffs, rolling groove, soulful guitar melodies, and harmonic metal; the quartet’s brand of rock captures the best of the heavy ‘70s with touches of early-‘80s metal and is inspired by experiences that could only come from living ocean side. Freedom Hawk's songs speak to a lifestyle of warm sunny days, surfing, and partying on the beach while the band’s guitar playing can be thick, sonically mirroring swells and large waves. Freedom Hawk has been hailed as "the East Coast's answer to Fu Manchu.”
Preorders available at this location.

"How The West Was Won" highlights the best performances from LED ZEPPELIN's legendary concerts at the Los Angeles Forum and Long Beach Arena on June 25 and 27, 1972. Melded together and sequenced to replicate a single concert from beginning to end, the three-CD and four-LP collections capture the band at the height of its formidable powers. Standouts include a 25-plus-minute version of "Dazed And Confused" and a 21-minute medley based around "Whole Lotta Love". The performances also capture the band introducing songs from its then-unreleased album "Houses Of The Holy", which would arrive nine months later.

"We've had success and we've come through a lot of waters," explains drummer/vocalist Aaron Gillespie. "There's been 11,000 things we've been through so you would think, almost rhetorically, 'What do you need now?' All of us are finally in that place in our lives where the only thing we care about is inclusion for everybody — for the world. For me, exclusion is the scariest thing in the world. And I think UNDERØATH coming back now with a new record — which none of us thought was possible — we want people to know that this is your music and you can feel however the fuck you want about it. I just want to prove that we are doing everything in the most honest way we ever have. This is the healthiest we've ever been as a group of people, as musicians, and in our worldview."
Gillespie's quote touches on the narratives behind the 11-song release: addressing the dire circumstances that led to the demise of the band, the ability to, now, be true to themselves and with their listeners as well as the individual band members disenchantment with religion.
"We took a step away and then we realized that we are a family," adds singer Spencer Chamberlain. "We do miss it and we miss each other. We made the decision to never play again as UNDERØATH and then we let that sit a couple of years. Band members rebuilt themselves and their friendships — and then we rebuilt the band."
UNDERØATH launches the "Nø Fix Tour" on April 20. Tickets for the band's North American headlining dates include a download of "Erase Me", with tickets and VIP packages available via Underoath777.com.

OCTOPUS Premiere New Song "Strike (While The Iron Is Hot)"Detroit based rock 'n rollers Octopus have debuted "Strike (While The Iron Is Hot)," the latest single from their forthcoming LP, Supernatural Alliance, due March 30th via Rise Above Records, making it their debut album for the label.
Something is stirring in the lysergic spectral swamps of supernatural Detroit. That legendary city's significance in the evolution of wild and heavy music through the ages is beyond dispute, but there is always room for another revolution. Purveyors of a uniquely vibrant strain of balls-out psychedelic turbo-rock, Octopus are about to blow open the doors of perception and invite everyone in for a party. Formed in 2008 by guitarist J Frezzato (ex-Electric Six) and vocalist Masha Marjieh, this ten-legged groove machine began as the channeling of a nocturnal hallucination...
If the music on Octopus' debut album Supernatural Alliance tells us anything, it's that the spirit of low-slung and bowel-rattling psych rock is alive and well. After years of paying their dues and letting the spirit of invention propel them forwards, the quintet are now on blistering collective form and beyond ready to conquer the world. Veering from thunderous, Sabbath-fuelled rampages like Beyond The Center and the album's mighty title track to the piano-driven, old school rock 'n roll clatter of Strike (While The Iron Is Hot) and the woozy, kaleido-blues of the wryly titled Fleetwood Mac, it's a bold and supremely confident opening salvo from a band that seem to be achieving great things powered only by instinct. With a line-up completed by Matt O'Brien (bass/formerly of Detroit fuzz-funk crew Big Chief), Chuck Burns (drums, also a member of Speedball and Seduce, formerly of Universal Temple Of Divine Power) and Adam Cox (keyboards), Octopus are already firmly connected to the cosmic musical mainframe.
Where many other like-minded bands adhere rigidly to an ethos of total-retro-or-die, Octopus sound neither like the past nor the present. Instead, this is a wholesale rejuvenation of psychedelic rock's life-affirming essence. From the album's dazzling, synapse-tickling artwork to the songs' cerebral but surreal lyrical conceits, it's an enthralling soundtrack for a magical world gone wrong.
Newly signed to legendary UK label Rise Above Records, Octopus have found a natural home for the launch of their first slab of supercharged psych-metal splendor. Their new mission is to take their riff-heavy third-eye detonations on the road, bringing psychedelic fury to the masses and, if the planets align, bringing the art of blowing minds and bucking the rock'n'roll system back with a reverb-drenched bang. Next stop, the red planet!
"I remember being a kid, hanging out in video game arcades," J Frezzato recalls. "Those arcades, they were all dark, with blue and red neon lights. Smoke. Drug deals. You went in there as a kid, and you were like, 'Fuck yeah! I'm on Mars now!' There were always Blacklight dragon posters on the walls. That was the image that kept coming to me when we were working on this record. Rock's been turned into a beer commercial, a sporting event and museums and it's been broken into a million orthodox subgenres. I'm not into that. Rock is an underground thing. That's where it belongs."
Supernatural Alliance tracklisting:
"The Center"
"Supernatural Alliance"
"Slave And Master"
"Strike"
"Child Of Destiny"
"The Unknown"
"Sword And The Stone"
"All The Love"
"Black Dynamite"
"Dragonhead"

Comprised of members that went on to join and form bands such as SAVATAGE, METAL CHURCH, TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA and CIRCLE II CIRCLE, WICKED WITCH came to light when Zak Stevens and guitarist Matt Leff met while at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California and then added the Boston-based rhythm section of Mark Stewart and Jeff Plate, with whom they recorded several demos and slugged it out on the highly competitive New England club circuit.
From 1989 through 1992, WICKED WITCH played about 200 shows and recorded two demos, the first with Bob St. John (EXTREME, DURAN DURAN) and the other with Paul David Hager (VAN HALEN, DEVO). After features in Metal Edge and some strong radio support, Zak left the band after a show at the Xfinity Center Ampitheatre in Boston to join SAVATAGE, with Plate following the next year. Matt Leff then put together the band TRIGGER EFFECT and would later rejoin former WICKED WITCH bandmates Stevens and Plate in MACHINES OF GRACE.
"Wicked Witch Of Boston" features rare photos and the band's history, as told by Leff in a 16-page booklet and the first 100 orders will also receive a guitar pick replica.

SAINTED SINNERS Feat. Former ACCEPT Singer DAVID REECE: 'Waitin Till The Countdown Begins' Performance VideoThe official performance video for the song "Waitin Till The Countdown Begins" from SAINTED SINNERS, the band featuring former ACCEPT singer David Reece, can be seen below. The track is taken from SAINTED SINNERS' second album, "Back With A Vengeance", which was released on February 16 via El Puerto Records.
Expressing the "pure essence of rock 'n' roll" was the ambition that paired those four well-known and experienced musicians together in early 2016 to create and play the music which is deeply inside their hearts and in their blood. The love for rock legends, such as DEEP PURPLE, LED ZEPPELIN, RAINBOW, WHITESNAKE, UFO, BLACK SABBATH, VAN HALEN and many others, built the cornerstone for the music of the new founded quartet called SAINTED SINNERS.
Fronted by the unique, soul-driven voice of American-born vocalist David Reece and highly gifted guitar player Frank Pané (BONFIRE), SAINTED SINNERS got completed by the dynamic rhythm section of the two former PURPENDICULAR members Malte Frederik Burkert (bass) and the Hungarian drum maestro Berci Hirleman.
"We were aiming for a more guitar-heavy approach this time and also a warmer, more ballsy sound," explains Pané and continues: "This time we already knew where to go. You definitely can hear my huge VAN HALEN and Randy Rhoads influences more than on the previous one. But it also has that DEEP PURPLE touch, even with less keyboards this time. In other songs, you definitely hear a RAINBOW and DIO influence... and it goes on and on. These influences are totally natural and are not planned. So we just go with the flow and that's the essence of rock 'n' roll for us."

The keyboards on "Back With A Vengeance" were handled by guest musicians Angel Vafeiadis and Eric Ragno, who is known for his work with Alice Cooper, Paul Stanley (KISS) and Billy Gibbons (ZZ TOP).
"I'm really happy and satisfied with the end result," summarizes Pané. "Being a new band, it's hard to be recognized nowadays with all the hundreds of releases every month, so we wanted to make a statement that SAINTED SINNERS is a band you should look out for."

Frank Pané - Guitar
Malte Frederik Burkert - Bass

Video Premiere: ANGRA's 'Insania'The official video for the song "Insania" from Brazilian/Italian metallers ANGRA can be seen below. The track is taken from the band's ninth studio album, "Ømni", which was released on February 16 via earMUSIC.
2018 marks the beginning of yet another era in ANGRA's history.
At age 26, the band shows motivation and strength like never before. Not even the sometimes-uncertain trajectory was able to take away the focus, determination and inspiration of the quintet led — and founded — by Rafael Bittencourt, and completed by Felipe Andreoli (bass), Fabio Lione (vocals), Marcelo Barbosa (guitar) and Bruno Valverde (drums).
"Ømni" is the result of months of intense dedication, blood, and sweat.

Once again, the album was recorded in Sweden with Jens Bogren, who also produced the previous disc, "Secret Garden", and manages to capture the same excellent chemistry.
The sound, while fully contemporary, has an organic character and respects the different nuances and dynamics of each instrument. Many musicians were involved in creating the album, ranging from the percussion sound of Bahia to European orchestral arrangement — all of which give the album its outstanding variety.
"Ømni" is a concept album, a set of science fiction short stories that take place at various places in time, simultaneously. The backbone of the plot is based on the idea that in 2046 an artificial intelligence system will change human perception and cognition. It is a system which will allow conscious communication between present and future human beings. Characters such as time travellers, cavemen, warriors, among others, help tell this story.
The album connects the concepts of previous albums (Holy Land, Rebirth, Temple of Shadows) to one main system, "Ømni", which in Latin means "everything." "Ømni" fabricates an interconnectivity that shines light towards a universal truth: everything that has happened, led to what the band is today. "Ømni" celebrates and unites the whole history of ANGRA to this exact, current moment.
ANGRA's trademark formula, a Brazilian style mixed with classical music and heavy metal, is enhanced by different influences such as progressive rock, thrash metal, Latin music, and djent, which transforms the albums into a swirl of modern and familiar. The conjoined moods and dynamics put a special spin on the lyrics and therefore increase deep sense of immersion in the story.
The cover artwork was hand-drawn by Daniel Martin Diaz, a unique American artist who dedicates his life to mixing scientific and philosophical concepts such as anatomy, computer science, mathematics, cosmology, sacred geometry, symbolism and esotericism. The designer Gustavo Sazes was responsible for integrating such an organic art piece to the visual concept of the album as a whole.
Even in a cultural environment increasingly sterile and unfavourable for music with soul and identity, the band gathers eleven tracks that completely differ from each other, but at the same time tell a cohesive story, and wander through all styles and nuances that have made ANGRA a worldwide reference. A very well bonded line-up, both personally and musically, overflowing with creativity, was the necessary fuel to bring these songs to life, songs which are undoubtedly among the best in the band's discography.
"Ømni" track listing:
01. Light Of Transcendence
02. Travelers Of Time
03. Black Widow's Web
04. Insania
05. The Bottom Of My Soul
06. War Horns
07. Caveman
08. Magic Mirror
09. Always More
10. Ømni - Silence Inside
11. Ømni - Infinite Nothing

Years in the making, As The Ages Passing By… has an old school heavy metal feel with a modern pounding anvil. Each track was carefully selected for a good old headbanging time along with telling a unique story.

DOWN AMONG THE DEAD MEN Featuring Former BOLT THROWER / BENEDICTION Singer DAVE INGRAM Set June Release Date For New Album; Title Track StreamingDeath metal heavyweights Down Among The Dead Men return with their third full length album …And You Will Obey Me, out on June 15th via Transcending Obscurity Records. The title track is available for streaming below.
David Ingram (ex-Bolt Thrower, Ursinne, Echelon) and Rogga Johansson (Paganizer, Eye Of Purgatory, Necrogod) team up to create a new chapter of the heaviest form of death metal/crust you'll hear. With both members being in top form following the resounding success of Ursinne and Paganizer on the common label, they do something outstanding for Down Among The Dead Men, taking the unique sound forward without betraying the roots. The third album is the best one in their acclaimed discography where bludgeoning death metal meets the spunk of crust and leaves something unforgettable in its wake. Immaculately produced and executed as a fully functioning band, ...And You Will Obey Me will go down as one of the strongest albums of this period.
Artwork by Turkka G. Rantanen (Demilich, Demigod, Darkrypt).
