BLOODY TIMES Announce New Single Featuring Former ICED EARTH And MANOWAR Members; Preview Video

BLOODY TIMES Announce New Single Featuring Former ICED EARTH And MANOWAR Members; Preview Video

You may have never heard of a metal band called Bloody Times - until now. Since their first official release in 2016, many things have changed and the project is growing faster than ever. Back then, Bloody Times was a solo project featuring only one guest and supporter, Raphael Saini (ex-Iced Earth) on drums. This time, many talented musicians have worked together to deliver the best possible metal experience.

"Alliance" is the name of the first single from the upcoming album On A Mission. Special guest of the song is the legendary Manowar co-founder Ross Friedman, also known as "Ross The Boss". Together with Joey DeMaio he formed the band in 1980 after they met at a Black Sabbath show in England - they were introduced to each other by no one other than Ronnie James Dio.

Ross recorded six studio albums with Manowar and left the band after Kings Of Metal in 1988. Now, exactly thirty years later he supports the true metal act Bloody Times with his rhythms and solo guitar recordings. Honored by the contribution of the "King Of Metal", project-founder Simon Pfundstein played his hands bloody on his 8-string bass to fulfill the highest expectations.

While the song “Alliance” starts very softly and calm, after about a minute the hard and heavy sound kicks in. Again, Raphael Saini is supporting the act with his pounding drums. A short while into the song, John Greely starts his performance with an impressive heavy metal scream. He is proving once again the wide range of his vocal spectrum like he did many years ago with Iced Earth during the memorable "Night Of The Stormrider" era. High tunes or low tunes, hard or soft, John Greely can do them all. Today, better than ever, he sings for his own band Seventh Servant and is the main singer of Bloody Times since 2017.

Simon talks about the result of the new recordings: "It's still quite unbelievable what great talents I have now united in Bloody Times, especially John Greely and Ross The Boss. They are some of my personal favorites and heroes. It's a great feeling to have them playing on the songs, which are in my opinion truly great! Stay tuned for more, it will be worth it!"

Bloody Times - "Alliance" preview video (featuring Ross The Boss):

The single is exclusively available for pre-order / registration on CD (limited edition, including two bonus tracks). A digital release has not been announced yet - this possibly makes it even more "old school".

ROXANNE Release Official Music Video For "Thin Blue Line"

ROXANNE Release Official Music Video For "Thin Blue Line"

Radio Silence, the sophomore release from the LA based rock band Roxanne, is out now via Rat Pak Records. A video for the album track "Thin Blue" line can be found below.

Originally formed in the late '80s, Roxanne garnered commercial success with their 1988 self-titled debut album, which was well received with two songs charting on rock radio; “Cherry Bay” and “Sweet Maria”, as well as a cover of Wild Cherry’s “Play That Funky Music” which hit #63 on the Billboard singles charts and was in full rotation on both dance and rock stations simultaneously.

As with many bands from that era, facing the decline in interest for AOR rock due to the onslaught of the grunge scene, the guys in Roxanne went on hiatus. Now, 30 years later, the band returns with a new offering entitled Radio Silence, which features 11 tracks of pure adrenalized classic rock influenced music, and also features special guest appearances by guitar legend George Lynch, King’s X frontman dUg Pinnick and Korn drummer Ray Luzier.

Regarding the recording process, lead singer Jamie Brown comments, “We wanted to make a rock record that you’d want to crank in your car and drive fast with the windows down and I think we accomplished that!” Drummer Dave Landry adds, “We are all very proud of this album and are ecstatic the way it turned out... the songs, the tones and the performances. Recorded on two-inch analog, it sounds real, it is real, and truly represents the way our band sounds!”

With influences that range from Queen to Bad Company to Thin Lizzy, Radio Silence is best described as a perfect blend of classic rock with a modern-day edge. The album was produced by Rich Mouser and Jamie Brown and recorded, mixed & mastered at The Mousehouse Studio in Los Angeles, CA

Roxanne's Radio Silence is available in various formats and bundle configurations including a limited print Red & Black Splatter vinyl pressing with an alternate track sequence, cassette and hand-autographed CD bundle which you can find at this location.

DEVIN TOWNSEND Posts Audio Samples And Video Clips From Making Of New Album

DEVIN TOWNSEND Posts Audio Samples And Video Clips From Making Of New Album

Devin Townsend is hard at work on his new album, Empath, and has posted some behind-the-scenes audio samples and video clips from the production. Check the material out below.

Since 1999, Devin Townsend and InsideOutMusic have enjoyed a highly successful and fruitful relationship together, releasing studio albums under his solo guise, Devin Townsend Project and Casualties Of Cool, as well as live releases recorded at landmark shows in Devin’s career at the Royal Albert Hall and the Ancient Roman Theatre in Plovdiv, Bulgaria to name but two. Now they are pleased to cement that collaboration by signing a brand new contract on the eve of their 20 year anniversary of working together, for the release of new albums including the forthcoming Empath in 2019.

Devin comments: “In an Industry that is tenuous at best, we need to make alliances. In opposition to the old ideas of 'us against them' when the discussions turn to art vs commerce, we need allies. I have been an independent artist for many years, and 20 of those years have been with InsideOutMusic. When others were afraid to really put effort into packaging, product, and the actual recordings, due in large part to a dwindling industry, InsideOut has championed my work since the turn of the century.

"Because throughout it all, more than anything, I want the art and the music to be done correctly. I want to learn from my missteps and I want a group of business partners I can rely on to go to bat for unconventional music in ways I simply could not do on my own. I'm proud to say I've been with InsideOut for many of those years that have defined me as an artist. It’s a pleasure to re-sign with them for my newest works. Thank you.”

InsideOut label-head Thomas Waber comments: "I consider it to be a privilege and an honour to have been able to play a small part in enabling this truly unique artist to fulfil his artistic visions over the years. For me Devin is one of the most important and outstanding leftfield artists out there today. In a musical climate where formats triumph over artistic freedom, Devin's visions are refreshing and a much needed breath of fresh air. An alien in search for the ultimate coffee bean? Bring it on!

"Working with Devin and his team feels like working with family, which is something that i can't stress and value enough. I remember when he sent me Physicist and the album sounding very alien to me, but his sensibilities for melodies and arrangements came through loud and clear and of course with Kingdom the album had one of the best tracks of all time! I am truly excited about the new album Empath and wherever else Devin will take us over the coming years!"

Devin’s manager, Northern Music’s Andy Farrow adds: “Having managed Devin for nearly 10 years and seen him grow from the Islington Academy to selling out the Royal Albert Hall in four days, it has been one rollercoaster of a journey. Devin is an artist that never sets sail on one course musically as I learnt over the course of eight albums and various DVDs, and sometimes this can be challenging both for the manager and the record label. However we have found that in InsideOut via Devin's Hevy Devy imprint we have a partner who are flexible enough to enable a truly creative musician / artist, complete artistic control and musical vision.”

THE VISION ABLAZE Release New Single “Call Out”

THE VISION ABLAZE Release New Single “Call Out”

Written by the band, recorded in BadCat Studio with renowned Danish producer Chris Kreutzfeldt and shot by Søren Jensen, ‘Call Out’ is an energetic poetic roar that combines the bands signature melodic style with an outstanding performance by new vocalist Tim Nederveen. This is what Tim has to say about “Call Out”:

“‘Call Out’ seeks to awaken our planet. It poses questions, such as when did you decide to be indifferent? When did you fall out? Why did you decide to shut your eyes? We are fast destroying the world we live in - on a hitherto unparalleled scale. Some of us realize the dire consequences, but widespread recognition has yet to surface. We insist on ignoring the warnings all around us, while unwittingly plotting our own demise. The world is falling apart and humanity is rushing fast towards its end. Life as we know it is simply ending with each passing moment.”

The song is intense, compelling and catchy, and accompanied by a carefully shot video. Musically it is exactly what you can expect for their next album. This is music for the fans of Scandinavian melodic and modern metal, at its best.

Since releasing much acclaimed and award winning debut album Youtopia through Denmark’s Mighty Music in 2015, The Vision Ablaze has known some major setbacks, but are back stronger than ever proven with their most recent single “Circle Of Sin”. The band formed in 2011, with two EP’s and an album in the bag, have signed with Prime Collective to release the upcoming sophomore album.

THE THREE TREMORS Featuring TIM "RIPPER" OWENS, SEAN PECK And HARRY CONKLIN Confirm January Release Date For Self-Titled Debut

THE THREE TREMORS Featuring TIM "RIPPER" OWENS, SEAN PECK And HARRY CONKLIN Confirm January Release Date For Self-Titled Debut

The Three Tremors - the new supergroup featuring Tim "Ripper" Owens (Judas Priest, Iced Earth, Dio Disciples), Harry “The Tyrant” Conklin (Jag Panzer, Satan's Host, Titan Force), and Sean “The Hell Destroyer” Peck (Cage, Death Dealer, Denner/Shermann) - will release their self-titled debut album on January 18th via Steel Cartel Records. Pre-order here.

“Sean's band, Cage, opened for Judas Priest on the Jugulator tour in San Diego - that is where I first met him,” recalls Ripper. “He hit me up about resurrecting the idea and actually doing a record, and then a band, to put this out in the live setting also, and I thought it sounded really cool. The record came out really strong and I think the fans deserved to have a thing like this actually exist. We performed 2 of the songs live already when I was out in San Diego shooting the video for the first single, and it was a blast.”

“It was about 5 years ago, I was camping and thinking about the whole Three Tremors urban legend from long ago and what a shame it was that it never happened,” says Sean. “Then I started thinking about if there was a resurrected 2018 version of it, who would I get, and Tim and Harry were at the top of my list. I immediately reached out to Tim, who agreed to embark on this adventure and Harry quickly joined next. It took a long time to put it together, create the right songs, and get it properly arranged, but the results are beyond my wildest expectations. I think the fans are really going to freak out on what we have done with this record, and live it’s going to be almighty I assure you!"

“Sean and I ended up at a party together in Germany, where we were both playing the same festival, and he told me about the Three Tremors album he was putting together and asked if I would be into it,” adds Harry. “He described the concept and how he wanted to bring this old idea to actual life and I said I was in. Once I started hearing the songs that were being sent over for me to record, I knew this thing was going to be really powerful. Then when I got sent the final mixes with all three of us on it, my jaw hit the floor on how well it all came together. For heavy metal fans, this is the ultimate.”

The Three Tremors nourish in heavy metal anthems, and feature the illustrious chops of guitarist Dave Conan Garcia, whose tenacity fuels the fire, allowing the music to naturally flow in complimentary tone. Second guitarist Casey Trask picks up the pace and pushes the boundaries alongside bassist Alex Pickard, who highlights a melodic sensibility giving character to the overall tonality. On drums, the thrash machine Sean Elg adds in his perfectly placed fills and signature double bass patterns.

The Three Tremors self-titled debut highlights artwork ingeniously created by renowned artist Marc Sasso (Dio, Halford, Adrenaline Mob, Death Dealer), to showcase an apocalyptic battle between demonic hyper-wolves and the Three Tremors, who marched into an underworld overshadowed by evil forces only armed with bullets powered by heavy metal sorcery to reclaim the dystopian lands.

The album will feature 12 new songs that depict monumental stories of time honored heavy metal themes as written by Sean "The Hell Destroyer" Peck, focusing on original concepts to highlight three of the most revered and relentless voices in heavy metal.

The The Three Tremors tracklisting:

"Invaders From The Sky"
"Bullets For The Damned"
"When The Last Scream Fades"
"Wrath Of Asgard"
"The Cause"
"King Of The Monsters"
"The Pit Shows No Mercy"
"Sonic Suicide"
"Fly Or Die"
"Lust Of The Blade"
"Speed To Burn"
"The Three Tremors" (Bonus Track)

SILVER TALON Signs With M-Theory Audio

SILVER TALON Signs With M-Theory Audio

M-Theory Audio has announced the signing of the Portland, Oregon-based Silver Talon. The group, which features three former members of the acclaimed traditional metal band Spellcaster, will kick off a three-week national tour in support of their self-released debut EP, Becoming A Demon, on Wednesday in San Francisco. A full-length album will follow in 2019.

“Silver Talon is incredibly excited to have officially signed on with M-Theory Audio,” says guitarist Bryce VanHoosen. “It's an honor to not only work with a team of experienced and veteran industry professionals, but also to be on a formidable roster of solid young talent. We're eager to get to work on the next offering from Silver Talon just as soon as we return from our maiden U.S. tour.”

Rising from the ashes of Spellcaster, Silver Talon aims to keep the flame of heavy metal burning. Formed by ex-Spellcaster members VanHoosen, Gabriel Franco (bass), Colin Vranizan (drums) and Sebastian Silva (guitar) in the spring of 2017, and joined by vocalist Wyatt Howell (Sanctifyre) shortly thereafter, Silver Talon seeks to pick up where Spellcaster left off.

“We’re basically trying to take Spellcaster a bit more over the top,” VanHoosen says. “The songs are more complicated, more progressive, more aggressive, and there’s more guitar solos and crazier vocal harmonies.”

With a virtuosic guitar attack, a rumbling rhythm section, and powerful vocals, Silver Talon is razor -sharp and ready to become a major force in heavy metal. In February, the group released their first demo track “Devil Machine,” which offered a small sample of their ability to masterfully blend hooks, melody, and technical ability into fist-clenching, head-bangable heavy metal. Their second demo release, “Warrior’s End,” showcased more of their dexterity in riffs, bent time signatures, and lush melodies.

Over the summer, the group hit the studio with Zach Ohren (Exmortus, Fallujah, Machine Head) to record proper versions of those songs as well as three additional original tracks and a cover of Sanctuary's “Battle Angels” featuring that group's former guitarist (and future Nevermore/Arch Enemy guitar hero) Jeff Loomis. The resulting Becoming A Demon EP, self-released last month and available for streaming on Bandcamp and other digital platforms.

GREENLEAF Debuts "The Rivers Lullaby" Lyric Video

This Friday, November 9th, the mighty Swedish stoner force Greenleaf present their latest album, Hear The Rivers, via Napalm Records. The band have released a lyric video for the song "The Rivers Lullaby".

The band on the new video and their plans for the next weeks: "We feel very happy with the lyric video for 'The Rivers Lullaby'. It captures the mood and the essence of the song itself that for the most part describes a reaper's helpless and weary thoughts. We also can't wait to get on the road on Thursday and play this beast of a song for a live audience!"

This album turns out to be quite the mesmerizing bag of tricks that seizes the Swedish stoner sound and enriches it with so many wonderful things, like the unforgettable riff-o-rama "Good Ol' Goat" or the slow soul feeder "We Are The Pawns". An absolute gem of an album that is best kept in the family - which is why former Greenleaf- and Dozer drummer Karl Daniel Lidén (Craft, Bloodbath, Crippled Black Phoenix amongst others) produced it.

Greenleaf summarize this record in the following way: "Hear The Rivers is our full length number 7. Lucky number 7? Well, we like to think so! All the songs give us huge smiles on our faces and we are extremely proud of what we have done! As always we try to take our listeners on a trip with our music, make them wanna bang their heads, dance, smile and cry (of happiness of course). This is easily the biggest sounding record we have ever done and we hope people will enjoy it as much as we do!"

SOILWORK singer Björn "Speed" Strid told United Rock Nations about the disc. "I'm really, really pleased with it — it's really, really cool. [It's] possibly the most epic and darkest album we've done. And it's also very melancholic, but it's also very sort of uplifting. It's huge. I'm really happy with it."

Asked if the musical direction of the new SOILWORK material is similar to that on the last album, Strid said: "I would say a mixture between 'The Ride Majestic' and [2013's] 'The Living Infinite'."

SOILWORK will embark on an extensive European co-headlining run with labelmates AMORPHIS in January. Support on the trek will come from NAILED TO OBSCURITY and JINJER.

SOILWORK is now a quintet, following the departure of bassist Markus Wibom in late 2016 due to "other commitments." He has since been replaced by touring bassist Taylor Nordberg (THE ABSENCE).

In 2016, SOILWORK released a special collection of rarities titled "Death Resonance" via Nuclear Blast.

SOILWORK is:

Björn "Speed" Strid - Vocals

Sven Karlsson - Keyboards

David Andersson - Guitars

Sylvain Coudret - Guitars

THE END: MACHINE Feat. JEFF PILSON, GEORGE LYNCH, MICK BROWN, ROBERT MASON: Debut Album Due In The Spring

THE END: MACHINE Feat. JEFF PILSON, GEORGE LYNCH, MICK BROWN, ROBERT MASON: Debut Album Due In The Spring

THE END: MACHINE, the new band featuring three members of the classic DOKKEN lineup — George Lynch (guitar), Jeff Pilson (bass) and Mick Brown (drums) — along with former LYNCH MOB and current WARRANT singer Robert Mason, will release its debut album in the spring via Frontiers Music Srl.

Pilson said: "The recordings are nearly done and we are really happy with the way it is turning out. We think that, notwithstanding the obvious nod to our past experiences together, THE END: MACHINE sound has a unique identity. Sonically, this is not just ex-DOKKEN members with a different singer or a rebooted incarnation of LYNCH MOB. This is a new sound. Everyone has been doing great on the album and there is a lot of energy and a lot of focus."

Asked if the songs for THE END: MACHINE's upcoming debut album were written for the recent reunion of DOKKEN's classic lineup, Pilson told "Rock Talk With Mitch Lafon": "I will say that the very early songwriting sessions, with George and I writing the music, we were thinking, 'Well, this could be DOKKEN. Who knows?' We just got together and started writing. But the thought in the back of our mind was, 'Well, maybe there is…' There was a lot of talk, and there was business talk about a possible DOKKEN record. So we wanted to just start writing. We wanted to write and that was kind of probably foremost on our mind. But we also realized very quickly, 'Well, this is kind of becoming its own animal.' And then when Robert got involved, it totally became its own animal. So, I would say it's kind of branched out of the writing that we did for the [recent DOKKEN CD, DVD and Blu-ray, 'Return To The East Live (2016)'], but not very much — only a slight degree."

Pilson also talked about the musical and songwriting chemistry between him, Lynch, Brown and Dokken, saying: "What's so funny about the bonus track ['It's Just Another Day'] on the DOKKEN record ['Return To The East Live (2016)'] is that was one of the least painful recordings DOKKEN has ever made. [Laughs] It was so comfortable and natural — Don's vocals happened very quickly. It's ironic, really, because the band supposedly has so much strife within it or whatever. But on a musical level, chemistry-wise, we kind of can't help but do what we do. Don has a very distinctive voice, and very distinctive melodic sense, George has such a distinctive way of playing, and I think when Mick and Don and I sing, it's very unique. I mean, that is the chemistry — but that was the beauty of DOKKEN, and we appreciate that; we all do. And the thing is, [fans] have to realize is we're still kids at heart, so when George and I get together and start writing, we wanna keep writing. So if the DOKKEN thing doesn't happen for whatever reason, we wanna keep writing. And that's kind of where [THE END: MACHINE] sort of came into being, and that's a good thing — that's music happening organically. And I love that. And that's how I feel about this whole record — it just organically became what it is. It goes from very simple, straight-ahead groove-oriented rock to some kind of musical little adventures that are very, very cool. And, like I said, I'm just really, really proud of it."

ccording to Jeff, who has been a member of FOREIGNER since 2004, the plan is to develop THE END: MACHINE into a full-fledged band, with more albums and touring activity to follow. "I look at it in a very long-term way, 'cause I love playing with these guys — I just do," he said. "And yes, for the time being, the amount of live shows we could do will be limited — there's no question. I mean, FOREIGNER has no signs of slowing down yet. But I love playing with these guys and I love making music with these guys. So, yeah, I'm looking at it in the long term; I'm not just thinking of us as a side project for one record. We're looking at it as a band — a band that has contraints because of everyone's schedules, but that doesn't mean we don't have plans and hope in the future to nurture this into something more. There's only one challenge, but it is by far the biggest, and it's very overwhelming, and that's scheduling. The amount I tour with FOREIGNER, which, as I said, will not slow down, at least for the next couple of years. That's a very daunting challenge — it's very hard to work things out."

PAUL STANLEY Shoots Down Rumor EDDIE VAN HALEN Almost Joined KISS

PAUL STANLEY Shoots Down Rumor EDDIE VAN HALEN Almost Joined KISS

Paul Stanley has shot down a long-standing rumor that Eddie Van Halen almost joined KISS nearly four decades ago.

Gene Simmons has claimed in several interviews that he once had to talk Eddie out of leaving VAN HALEN and teaming up with KISS. Asked in the April 2014 issue of Guitar World if it was true that Van Halen wanted to join KISS around the time of 1982's "Creatures Of The Night" album, Simmons said: "That is true. And he was very serious. He was so unhappy about how he and [David Lee] Roth were — or weren't — getting along. He couldn't stand him. And drugs were rampant. And so he took me to lunch, to a diner right across the street from the Record Plant. Vinnie Vincent, who was not yet in KISS, tagged along, too. Sneaky guy. And Eddie said, 'I want to join KISS. I don't want to fight anymore with Roth. I'm sick and tired of it.' But I told him, 'Eddie, there's not enough room. You need to be in a band where you can direct the music. You're not going to be happy in KISS.' I talked him out of it. It didn't fit."

During this year's "Kiss Kruise", Stanley was asked by a fan if there is any truth to the rumor that Eddie nearly ended up in KISS. Paul responded (see video below): "No. Eddie Van Halen did not almost join KISS. Eddie [came down to] the studio. I think there was some strife within the band [VAN HALEN] at that point, for him, and Eddie came down just to see what was going on. And I remember he was really blown away by the solo in [the song] 'Creatures [Of The Night]'. He said, 'Get that guy.' That guy who played the solo in 'Creatures' was a guy named Steve Farris, who was in a band called MISTER MISTER, who had a bunch of hits. But the guitar player was great. And at that point, Eddie was getting into keyboards. And I remember he brought some tapes of some of the songs he was working on. And it was, like, this guy is this unbelievable guitar player. [I thought], 'Eddie, what are you doing on keyboards?' But that was the start of 'Jump' and all that other stuff that came afterwards. But Eddie was never going to join KISS and was never almost in KISS."

In a 1995 interview with The Times Leader, Eddie was asked if it was true that he met with Gene and Paul in Los Angeles 13 years earlier to discuss the possibility of him joining KISS. He responded: "Not that I know of… Unless I was so fucked up [that] I don't remember. They might have asked me… They might have just asked me in passing, and I just kind of laughed it off, probably. If it happened, I'm sure I would have remembered. Maybe they did ask me and I just thought they were joking."

b>Simmons has repeatedly taken credit for "discovering" VAN HALEN and flying the band to New York to record a 15-song demo at Electric Lady Studios, with Gene at the production helm. But he ended up not working with the group after his KISS bandmates and manager, Bill Aucoin, expressed little interest in his demos. "I gave the demo back to the band, told them I had a tour to go on and afterward I would try to get them a record deal, but until then, I tore up our contract and set them free," he said. "It didn't take them long to get on Warner Bros."

DOUG ALDRICH's BURNING RAIN To Release 'Face The Music' Album In March

DOUG ALDRICH's BURNING RAIN To Release 'Face The Music' Album In March

Bluesy hard rockers BURNING RAIN will release their fourth studio album, "Face The Music", in March 2019 via Frontiers Music Srl.

BURNING RAIN was founded by former WHITESNAKE and current THE DEAD DAISIES axeman Doug Aldrich together with singer Keith St. John (KINGDOM COME, ex-MONTROSE). The lineup for the new album is rounded out by Brad Lang (Y&T) on bass and Blas Elias (SLAUGHTER) on drums.

In a brand new interview with the "Friday NI Rocks Show", Aldrich stated about "Face The Music": "I wanted to work it so that it was not gonna interfere with THE DEAD DAISIES at all. Because last time, when we released the last record, it was just in the middle of a WHITESNAKE album process. And as with THE DEAD DAISIES, if I'm working on an album process, it's kind of hard to promote the record properly. So I wanted to time it so that I could actually do some things with BURNING RAIN to promote the album."

According to Aldrich, the follow-up to 2013's "Epic Obsession" sounds "great." He added: "Keith St John sounds amazing. The last two records we mixed it ourselves and did everything ourselves, but this time we've got Alessandro Del Vecchio, who I've worked with on REVOLUTION SAINTS, and he is mixing it and mastering it. So it's nice to be able to pass off to someone with good ears who can hit it fresh."

s for the possibility of live shows from BURNING RAIN, Aldrich said: "I would love to do that. I think probably what will happen is… I'm actually looking at doing some guitar clinics and bringing Keith with me to where I would do a little bit of a guitar, meet-and-greet, clinic situation, and then Keith would join me for an acoustic promotion for that record in the spring before THE DEAD DAISIES ramps up. THE DEAD DAISIES has a plan that starts in May, I believe, so we'll probably just do some promotion first. And then when THE DAISIES has a break, I can book some BURNING RAIN shows. But I definitely wanna bring the guys over. It's a great group of guys and the new songs are gonna be really fun to play live."

"Epic Obsession" came after a long hiatus from the release of BURNING RAIN's second album, "Pleasure To Burn", in 2000.

Frontiers also reissued the long-out-of-print first two albums from BURNING RAIN, the self-titled debut (released in 1999) and the aforementioned "Pleasure To Burn". Both LPs were repackaged and remastered and contain two bonus tracks each.

BURNING RAIN's previous efforts received great acclaim in Japan and the U.K. prior to Aldrich being tapped as guitarist for WHITESNAKE in 2002.

MINISTRY: 'We're Tired Of It' Visualizer

MINISTRY: 'We're Tired Of It' Visualizer

Industrial-metal legends MINISTRY will continue to promote their critically acclaimed album "AmeriKKKant" with a full U.S. tour later this November, supported by synth-wave sensations CARPENTER BRUT. In anticipation of the trek, the band has released a visualizer for the track "We're Tired Of It".

Released this past March, "AmeriKKKa" was produced by MINISTRY leader Al Jourgensen and was recorded at Caribou Studios in Burbank, California. The artwork was created by Mister Sam Shearon.

Jourgensen recently confirmed to Billboard that MINISTRY has already commenced work on the follow-up to "AmeriKKKant". "I have to get as many albums as I can done while Trump is still president," Al explained. "And then what am I going to do: write those crappy albums that I write while Democrats are president?

Speaking about the lyrical themes that fans can expect to see on MINISTRY's next record, Jourgensen said: "The last album was not an anti-Trump album, it was like the 'how we got here' album. It kind of touched on what I was talking about with the [self-titled SURGICAL METH MACHINE] album, how society has changed so drastically since social media because ubiquitous. And in a 'Black Mirror', Charlie Brooker kind of way, examining the ramifications and permutations of what that entails. Trump is the perfect byproduct of the society we've created…"

e continued: "Society is really changing, but I do actually see hope, in a very cautious way, the same way I saw hope back in the late '60s when I was first really becoming aware of politics and the way society works… I just hope we don't make the same mistakes that turned a social movement into the latest fashion trend. If you look back on the '60s, we made some nominal civil rights and gender rights gains, but generally what we have to show for it is LSD and bell-bottoms and Woodstock. I'm hoping we go a little bit further this time. And I do see the new album touching on topics like that."

Asked if MINISTRY's next album will follow in "a similar direction" to the three albums condemning the Bush administration — "Houses Of The Molé", "Rio Grande Blood" and "The Last Sucker" — Al said: "Three albums of bashing Bush… although the last one was almost like, I felt sorry for the guy as much as I felt sorry for us for having to deal with the guy. 'The Last Sucker' was, like, 'We're all suckers in this.' 'AmeriKKKant' wasn't completely anti-Trump. It was how we got to Trump, and I think this next album is going to be much more of a positive message of 'How do we get out of Trump and keep it that way?' So I'm thinking about this in a structural sense. As far as musically, the stuff that I've been working on lately is far more PORTISHEAD than MOTÖRHEAD. [Laughs] We're getting a lot more into electronics again and scratching, as opposed to three chords and a cloud of dust and shouting as loud as you can through blown-out speakers. That's certainly served its purpose for me for a while, but I think we're getting into more heady material."

CHRIS SLADE On AXL ROSE Fronting AC/DC: 'It's The Best I've Ever Heard The Band'

CHRIS SLADE On AXL ROSE Fronting AC/DC: 'It's The Best I've Ever Heard The Band'

Former AC/DC drummer Chris Slade has praised Axl Rose's performance with the band, saying that the GUNS N' ROSES singer's addition to AC/DC's touring lineup "reinvigorated" the group.

AC/DC postponed the last ten dates of its North American tour nearly three years ago after doctors told singer Brian Johnson he faced a total loss of hearing if he did not stop touring immediately. AC/DC completed the tour in the summer of 2016, with Rose as a "guest vocalist."

Slade, who played drums for AC/DC's "Rock Or Bust" world tour after Phil Rudd was arrested for drug possession and threatening to kill an employee, told Eonmusic in a new interview that Axl fronting AC/DC definitely re-energized the band. "Yes, absolutely," he said. "Angus [Young, guitar] was running around like a schoolboy, you know?! It did reinvigorate the band. Brian is great, as we all know; he's a great personality and a great guy. Axl brought his voice to it. Like, I couldn't believe the notes he hit; it was staggering. And I actually had no hope at all. When I heard that Axl was going to be in the band, I thought, 'Oh, what?!' Because I'd only ever heard that GUNS N' ROSES voice, but all great singers, they can change the timbre of their voice, and wow, he hit notes that dogs can only hear. It was unbelievable! I thought he did an amazing job. I could hear him very clearly because I use in-ear monitors, and it's the best I've ever heard the band."

Asked about the rumors that AC/DC is recording a new album with both Johnson and Rudd back in the lineup, Slade said: "If it works, good luck. It's great. And why not? There's all sorts of rumors; Axl's going to be doing a track, Brian's going to be doing a track; there's so many variables here. And I've learned with AC/DC also not to believe the rumors, because even fans fake things; things just get faked. But Angus is now over 60, I think, so he's still got a few years to go, if you go by me and Brian. That's all he does; he relaxes by painting, and he smokes fags, and that's about it, so the rest of the time, he's playing guitar."

ressed about who he thinks is playing bass during the latest AC/DC recording sessions, since Cliff Williams decided to retire at the end of the "Rock Or Bust" cycle, Slade said: "I'm not sure about that. But Stevie [Young] and Angus both play bass. Would Cliff come out of retirement? It depends on if he's bored or not, because all he will want to do these days is go fishing with his son, who is a professional fisherman. So, I don't know. It's possible, of course, but there again, it's all rumors. But Angus is very big, family-orientated, a la Stevie, so I wouldn't be surprised if there's a nephew or a cousin or something who plays bass So, that's just a thought."

Slade followed Simon Wright in AC/DC's lineup, joining in time to play on 1990's "The Razor's Edge" album. When Rudd returned in 1995, Slade was shown the door and harbored some bad feelings about that for a while. Although he's 72, he still hits the drums as hard as ever.

Slade has been busy touring with his band THE CHRIS SLADE TIMELINE, which finds him performing selections across his five-decade career.

TOM G. WARRIOR Returns To ROADBURN To Perform CELTIC FROST/TRIPTYKON 'Requiem' In Full

TOM G. WARRIOR Returns To ROADBURN To Perform CELTIC FROST/TRIPTYKON 'Requiem' In Full

TRIPTYKON will return to Roadburn festival in Tilburg, The Netherlands in 2019 to perform the full CELTIC FROST/TRIPTYKON three-part "Requiem", complete with orchestral accompaniment.

Having previously performed at the festival in 2010 and 2014 with TRIPTYKON, and taken on curatorship duties for the former (selecting bands such as SARKE and THORR'S HAMMER to perform), Tom Gabriel Fischer (a.k.a. Tom Gabriel Warrior) will be back at Roadburn on Friday, April 12, 2019.

The first part of the three-part "Requiem" appeared on CELTIC FROST's "Into The Pandemonium" and was titled "Rex Irae". The third part, titled "Winter", was brought to life on the CELTIC FROST album "Monotheist" in 2006, and until now, the missing second part has remained incomplete.

Tom explains: "The intention to finish the full 'Requiem' remained with me. I was going to do it one distant day with TRIPTYKON, the group I formed to continue to pursue the path I began in HELLHAMMER and CELTIC FROST. It was 2018, yet again 16 years after I last worked on the 'Requiem', when Walter Hoeijmakers, founder of the legendary Roadburn festival and one of my most beloved friends, contacted me to propose Roadburn as the venue to perform, at long last, the finished 'Requiem'.

Walter and his team very kindly provided for the resources necessary for such a substantial undertaking, and so, at 54 by now, I found myself commencing work on the second and thus final part of the 'Requiem' this year.

"The three parts of the 'Requiem' will therefore be performed by TRIPTYKON at Roadburn 2019, with full classical orchestration, congregated specifically for this occasion by Florian Magnus Maier, who is our esteemed classical collaborator and arranger in this project, and whose patience with me appears to be limitless. We feel very proud and deeply honoured to be joined in this endeavour by the renowned Dutch Metropole Orkest."

Click here to read more from Tom about the history of the "Requiem".

CELTIC FROST / TRIPTYKON "Requiem", as performed exclusively by TRIPTKYON and the Dutch Metropole Orkest at Roadburn 2019:

* "Rex Irae" (Requiem, Chapter One: Overture - Fourth Incarnation)

* "Grave Eternal" (Requiem, Chapter Two: Transition)

* "Winter" (Requiem, Chapter Three: Finale - Ninth Incarnation)

2018 marked the first occasion when Roadburn commissioned artists to create music especially for the festival, with Waste Of Space Orchestra and Vánagandr: Sól Án Varma both delivering spellbinding performances to enraptured audiences. The commissioning of the CELTIC FROST/TRIPTYKON "Requiem" is possible due to the continued support of Brabant C and city of Tilburg.

CONCEPTION Feat. Former KAMELOT Singer ROY KHAN: 'Re:CONCEPTION' Single Out Now; 'My Dark Symphony' EP Due This Month

CONCEPTION Feat. Former KAMELOT Singer ROY KHAN: 'Re:CONCEPTION' Single Out Now; 'My Dark Symphony' EP Due This Month

Reactivated Norwegian progressive metallers CONCEPTION, who feature in their ranks former KAMELOT singer Roy Khan, have released their first new music in two decades, a three-song single called "Re:Conception".

A new CONCEPTION EP, "My Dark Symphony", will be made available on November 23. The EP will feature six tracks, including two from the single.

"Re:Conception" track listing:

01. Re:Conception

02. Grand Again

03. Feather Moves

b>"My Dark Symphony" track listing:

01. Re:Conception

02. Grand Again

03. Into The Wild

04. Quite Alright

05. The Moment

06. My Dark Symphony

Since releasing the album "Flow" in 1997, the CONCEPTION members — Roy Khan, Tore Østby, Ingar Amlien and Arve Heimdal — have been working on separate projects, but fans never gave up hope of seeing them together as a band again. There have been rumors and speculations for some time about a possible reunion, and earlier this year, they confirmed that they had quietly been working for some time on this new material.

After his departure from KAMELOT seven years ago, Khan (full name: Roy Sætre Khantatat), who is a devout Christian, joined a church in the coastal town of Moss, Norway. As an employee of Moss Frikirke, Khan worked with the youth, mainly with the choir and the skaters of the village. Roy stopped working at the church in September 2016, but is reportedly still living and working in Moss.

Asked by Italy's "Heavy Demons" radio show if his spirituality will have an effect on CONCEPTION's lyrics, Roy said: "CONCEPTION is never going to be a religious band by any standards and there are some lyrics that I would think now that I would think differently about, but that doesn't mean we can't play the songs or anything. I look upon myself as an artist and let's say you act in a theater play and 'Faust', for example, somebody has the play the part of Mephistopheles. It doesn't mean that person is evil or bad in any sense. I think it's important to be able to portray the tragic and darkest side of life without being suspected of being a bad person yourself. That being said, there will, of course, be some songs that will touch in on the themes. Anything else would be awkward. It's not going to be a religious album, obviously."

After releasing their 1991 "The Last Sunset" debut on its own CSF Records ("Conception Self-Financed Records"), CONCEPTION was signed by Germany's Noise Records when label head Karl-Ulrich Walterbach was given a demo tape of the band. Walterbach, who by then had largely soured on melodic and power metal, was impressed by CONCEPTION's progressive angle and thought-provoking lyrics and saw them as an alternative to the more fantasy-driven melodic metal bands on the label.

The band's 1993 "Parallel Minds" and 1995 "In Your Multitude" full-lengths were well-received by fans and critics alike, earning CONCEPTION opening slots with the likes of GAMMA RAY and SKYCLAD. CONCEPTION's last studio album, 1997's "Flow" was more experimental in nature, prompting them to fall out of favor with Noise, leading to the dissolution of the band in 1998. Shortly thereafter, Khan was contacted by KAMELOT leader Thomas Youngblood, who invited the Norwegian vocalist to join the band.

Khan announced his exit from KAMELOT in April 2011 after taking several months off to recover from a "burnout." He explained in a statement at the time: "I told the guys in the band already last fall (well after my burnout) that I was leaving the band. Naturally enough, they were shocked (as was the label and everyone else working with KAMELOT). In addition to risk of dropping ticket sales, they wanted to give me time to think things over, and so I did. My decision still stands; it is finished."

KAMELOT officially announced Tommy Karevik as its new lead singer in June 2012. The Florida-based band has recorded three albums so far with the Swedish vocalist: 2012's "Silverthorn", 2015's "Haven" and 2018's "The Shadow Theory".

ROUGH RIOT Feat. QUIET RIOT, ROUGH CUTT Members: Video Of Live Debut

ROUGH RIOT Feat. QUIET RIOT, ROUGH CUTT Members: Video Of Live Debut

ROUGH RIOT, the new band featuring former members of QUIET RIOT and ROUGH CUTT, made its live debut this past Friday (November 2) at Count's Vamp'd in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fan-filmed video footage of the concert can be seen below.

ROUGH RIOT consists of lead vocalist Paul Shortino (ROUGH CUTT, QUIET RIOT), guitarists Chris Hager (MICKEY RATT, ROUGH CUTT, STEPHEN PEARCY) and Carlos Cavazo (QUIET RIOT, RATT), bassist Sean McNabb (QUIET RIOT, LYNCH MOB, DOKKEN, ROUGH CUTT) and drummer Dave Alford (ROUGH CUTT).

The day of the Count's Vamp'd concert, Shortino and Cavazo were interviewed on KTNV's "Las Vegas Morning Blend". Asked how ROUGH RIOT got together and came up with its name, Shortino said: "Well, it's a combination of two bands, and I actually sang in both bands. I was in a band called ROUGH CUTT, and then I joined QUIET RIOT with Carlos. And Rudy [Sarzo], actually, was in the band when we were first got together. And it's been about 30 years since we've done anything. And we decided to kind of reunite. We have part of the ROUGH CUTT guys; we have Dave Alford on drums and Chris Hager, and then Carlos Cavazo on guitar and Sean McNabb. And Sean and Carlos and I were in the QUIET RIOT lineup in 1987."

Regarding what fans can expect to hear during ROUGH RIOT's live shows, Shortino said: "Well, they're gonna hear a combination of some ROUGH CUTT and some QUIET RIOT — a lot of songs, pretty much, that we did on the record that we did together, which was 'QR'; it was the fourth QUIET RIOT record. And we're gonna do some of the hits that the band had — 'Cum On Feel The Noize', 'The Wild And The Young' and also 'Metal Health', of course. And then you're gonnahear 'Piece Of My Heart' from ROUGH CUTT, some 'Double Trouble'. And then 'Stay With Me Tonight' — some of the songs that I did with the QUIET RIOT guys. It's gonna be quite a night, because a lot of the songs that we wrote together on that album we actually never performed in the United States. We toured Japan and we toured South America, so it'll be, it will be something that fans have been waiting for for a long time to hear this stuff, because they'll never really hear this music unless we actually do it." Cavazo added: "We actually had a good catalog to choose from, so we're basically playing the best stuff of QUIET RIOT and the best stuff of ROUGH CUTT."

The text is supported by an impressive collection of rare memorabilia including internal documents, set-lists, passes, posters, tickets and even the repair bills for the TV camera.

In total this is the most comprehensive publication ever devoted to a single Deep Purple performance and is 300 pages long.

Note: This release is limited to 50 units and is exclusive to PledgeMusic. It will have no direct involvement or updates from the artist, band or label.

Watch KISS Perform 'Shout It Out Loud' On 'The Late Late Show With James Corden'

Watch KISS Perform 'Shout It Out Loud' On 'The Late Late Show With James Corden'

KISS was the musical guest on last night's (October 31) episode of "The Late Late Show With James Corden".

The iconic rock band, which will hit the road for a farewell tour early next year, performed "Shout It Out Loud" on Wednesday's broadcast.

Video of the performance can be seen below.

KISS announced that it will launch its final tour ever in 2019, appropriately named "End Of The Road". The initial announcement was made a month ago on NBC's "America's Got Talent", and earlier this week, the band revealed the first set of dates and cities in North America, produced by Live Nation. International markets were announced simultaneously.

he North American leg of "End Of The Road" will launch January 31 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada at Rogers Arena and will hit an additional 43 cities.

"This time out is far beyond what we have done before, not just because of technology. It is because the meaning of this tour is so, so great because we have been an indelible part of people’s lives, but guess what — people have been an indelible part of our lives," KISS frontman Paul Stanley told Billboard. "A thank you is in order, but also one last time to live up to what everybody says we have been and what we are."

"When we introduce ourselves for 45 years with you, [you] wanted the best, you got the best, the hottest band in the world. The bar is very high, maybe the highest. We're in competition only with ourselves," bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons added. "We don't wish any ill will to anybody else, but we're too busy being the most fabulous band on planet earth. Look at us. Just one look and you go, 'Wow.'"

Hear Previously Unreleased Recording Of 'Wake Up Dead' By Former MEGADETH Members MENZA, LOMENZO, POLAND

Hear Previously Unreleased Recording Of 'Wake Up Dead' By Former MEGADETH Members MENZA, LOMENZO, POLAND

A 2014 live rehearsal, unreleased instrumental recording of MEGADETH's "Wake Up Dead" by the band's former members Nick Menza (drums), Chris Poland (guitar) and James LoMenzo (bass) can be heard below. The unnamed trio came together when Menza and LoMenzo decided to join forces in a new project, later inviting Poland to handle rhythm and lead guitar.

Menza, Poland and LoMenzo's first jam session took place on November 1, 2014 at Menza's Disintegrator Studios in Studio City, California where they cracked through some of the old MEGADETH catalog along with some of their favorite METALLICA and LED ZEPPELIN songs. The trio then rehearsed a handful of times before disbanding later that year due to other musical commitments. Soon after, Menza joined Poland's band OHM:.

Late in the evening on May 21, 2016, Nick collapsed after suffering a heart attack during an OHM: concert at the Baked Potato in Studio City, California and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner said Menza died of hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.

Poland is best known for his work on MEGADETH's first two albums, "Killing Is My Business... And Business Is Good!" (1985) and "Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?" (1986).

b>Menza joined MEGADETH for the 1990 album "Rust In Peace" and for the next ten years became associated with the band's "classic" and most profitable era.

Following the reissue of the entire MEGADETH catalog, Menza was invited to reunite with the band in 2004. Days after a reunion was announced, Menza was replaced with Shawn Drover.

LoMenzo joined MEGADETH in 2006 and appeared on two of the group's studio albums, 2007's "United Abominations" and 2009's "Endgame". He was fired from the band in 2010 and replaced with returning original MEGADETH bassist David Ellefson.

"Megalife: The Autobiography Of Nick Menza" by J. Marshall Craig will be released on December 11 via Post Hill Press.
