Swedish metallers ENTOMBED A.D. will spend the next few months writing and recording their third album for a tentative early 2018 release.

Speaking about the band's plans for the near future, vocalist Lars-Göran "LG" Petrov told Finland's Rauta at last month's Dark Days Of Helsinki festival (see video below): "First we're gonna be here, get a show, then have some beers with others, and then go home and write a new album." As for a possible release date for the disc, Petrov said: "Next year, early, if the plans go as it should be. And then the cycle goes around again. You make the album, you release the album, then tour."

Petrov also talked about ENTOMBED's decision to release change its name to ENTOMBED A.D. in order to avoid a legal battle with ENTOMBED guitarist Alex Hellid who didn't want his former bandmates to use the ENTOMBED moniker.

"[ENTOMBED and ENTOMBED A.D. are] the same thing — just some minor complications on the way," he said. "But we are here and playing music and headbanging, and that's the most important. But it's the same. It's the same."

Petrov added that he and his bandmates "don't think about" the slight alteration in the group's name. "We just let it roll. As long as we are out, nobody can stop us."

Asked what inspires him to make music and write lyrics these days, Petrov said: "It's boring to sit at home. [Laughs] No, you can always be productive and be out on tour and have no sleep. But that all doesn't matter when you come to the show and you see your brothers in metal. Then it's all worth it."

On the topic of ENTOMBED's musical evolution over the years, Petrov said: "As you go on in life, you experience new things, you wanna try out other things, and ENTOMBED has always tried to do that. Maybe more than for our own good sometimes, but now we're just going straightforward and we just do it again — over and over again. And as long as you don't get tired of it, you just continue. If you get tired of it, you should quit. You don't do it because… If you don't like it, step aside and let it roll."

ENTOMBED A.D.'s second album, "Dead Dawn", was released in February 2016 via Century Media.

Bach hasn't released a full-length disc since 2014's "Give 'Em Hell", which was criticized by some for sounding "too modern" and a departure from his '80s hard rock past.

Asked in a recent interview with Australia's Hysteria magazine whether he is working on new music at the moment, Bach said: "I've released a lot of solo albums. I've released 'Bring 'Em Bach Alive!' on Atlantic Records, 'The Last Hard Men', 'Angel Down', 'Kicking & Screaming', 'ABachalypse Now', 'Give 'Em Hell'. And, basically, those are all heavy metal… you know, in the ballpark of hard rock/heavy metal, and, for me, I have done enough of those kinds of records now. So I need to make what I'm calling my 'California record,' which is probably gonna be more concerned about the vocals than the guitar, the drums and the bass. The last records I loved that I've done, but they're kind of similar. So now it's time for me to do a different-sounding kind of record. So that's what I'm doing. I'm into acoustic guitar right now a lot. And that's not to say if somebody plays me some wicked crazy riff that I won't do it, but I'm trying to make a record that's gonna put me into the next phase of music. That's what I'm working on now."

Bach went on to defend his decision to make a sofer-sounding album this time around. He said: "The thing is that my records, mostly, have had a lot of aggression in them, and I'm not feeling aggressive right now. So I'm not gonna pretend to channel some anger that's not real. But, you know, there's things that I am angry at, like the climate being destroyed — I'm angry at that. And the first song that I just recorded has lyrics kind of to do with that. But people like my ballad voice; that's, really, at the end of the day, what people like to hear me sing like. And I like that too, and that's the way I'm feeling right now, so that's the [way the] music [is] coming out — it's got a lot of harmonies, and the vocals sound great, and that's what I'm gonna give you in your ears… It's gonna be focused on the vocals, harmonies, but it's gonna sound like me, 'cause that's all I can sound like."

Asked to elaborate on his comment that he is writing a "California record," Bach said: "Well, you know, California has a great history of music that sounds like Southern California. You know, THE DOORS' 'L.A. Woman'. The sound of, like, STEELY DAN, VAN HALEN, MÖTLEY CRÜE… Los Angeles has a great sound of its own, and I wanna make my record. You know, THE EAGLES … Okay, there you go. My next record will be a mix between THE EAGLES and MÖTLEY CRÜE. [Laughs] Both [THE EAGLES and MÖTLEY CRÜE] sound California, and I want… I live here now, so I wanna make a record that sounds like it's made here. I'm not into Pro Tools and the computer making it all perfect. On this record, it's real players, recording real human beings. No drum machines — I'm not into that. I want real guys playing real instruments. That's for sure."

Bach added that he is "not far at all" into the production process for his next album. "I'm just starting to record demos, and I've got songs," he said.

Sebastian's autobiography, "18 And Life On Skid Row", came out last December via Dey Street Books (formerly It Books), an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers.

The official lyric video for the song "Dead Man's Scream" from GODS OF DEATH, the new band featuring former MANTAS, DEATH and MASSACRE members Kam Lee (vocals) and Rick Rozz DeLillo (guitar), can be seen below. The track is one of two songs (along with "Return To The Caves Of Abomination") GODS OF DEATH recently recorded at CGM Studios in Altamonte Springs, Florida with producer Tim Vazquez.

GODS OF DEATH's current lineup includes drummer Mike Mazzonetto. Bassist/vocalist Michael Grim, who was involved in an early version of the project, is no longer playing with the group. Handling bass duties for GODS OF DEATH going forward will be Vazquez.

In 1983, Lee and Rozz formed the band MANTAS which would later add Chuck Schuldiner and become DEATH. In 1985, Kam and Rick spearheaded yet another legendary death metal band called MASSACRE.

Back in December 2016, Lee and Rozz — after trading verbal barbs and taunts for many years — announced that they were rejoining forces in a revamped version of MASSACRE, dubbed MASSACRE X (the "X" was said to represent the band's tenth lineup). The main objective of the group — which also features Rozz's THE END bandmates Michael Grim (bass/vocals) and Mike Mazzonetto (drums) — was said to be "to rekindle the sound, style, aggression, and passion that originally elevated MASSACRE to cult status in the death metal scene two and a half decades ago."

Within a couple of days of Lee and Rozz's announcement, former MASSACRE drummer Bill Andrews — who moved to Japan in the early 1990s — released a statement saying that he did not approve of this latest attempt to reform MASSACRE and threatened legal action if Rozz and Lee moved forward with their plans.

The new name, GODS OF DEATH, was chosen to represent the band as well as the Rozz and Lee as two of the "founding fathers of the death metal genre," according to a press release.

MASSACRE's last incarnation included guitarist Rozz and Mazzonetto alongside bassist Terry Butler and vocalist Ed Webb. That lineup lasted for four years and released a critically acclaimed album, 2014's "Back From Beyond", via Century Media Records.

GODS OF DEATH's plan is to play songs from MASSACRE's "From Beyond" album, along with a few new tracks and old classics from DEATH and MANTAS.

DOWN 'N' OUTZ will release a brand new live album, "The Further Live Adventures Of ...", on December 1 via Frontiers Music Srl. The disc, recorded in Sheffield Corporation in December 2014, will be available 2CD/DVD, Blu-ray, vinyl and digital. In addition, on the same day, the band will reissue its previous records "My Re-Generation" and "The Further Adventures Of ..." on CD, LP and digital.

DOWN 'N' OUTZ is the project founded and fronted by DEF LEPPARD's Joe Elliott and backed by members of THE QUIREBOYS, WAYWARD SONS and RAW GLORY. The band pays tribute to rock legends MOTT THE HOOPLE and was established from the most unusual of circumstances. In the words of Joe Elliott: "When MOTT THE HOOPLE announced they were reforming for a week's worth of shows at the Hammersmith Odeon, I was asked that I participate in some capacity. They've always been my favourite band and it's nice to see the rest of the rock world finally catch up and give them their due.

"But, what was I to do? It was suggested to me that THE QUIREBOYS would be up for offering their services. This was perfect! A fan since their first album, I loved the idea of working with a band as enthusiastic to do this as I was. I decided that the thing to do was play some songs that like-minded people thought they would never hear live again, if ever, songs by spin offs of MOTT THE HOOPLE — songs by MOTT, Ian Hunter and BRITISH LIONS. Songs that are close to my heart, songs that I've played every week for the best part of thirty-five years on record, cassette, CD, iPod and now live."

The DOWN 'N OUTZ supported MOTT THE HOOPLE at one of their legendary 2009 reformation shows at Hammersmith Odeon. Following a rapturous reception, the one-night-project took on a life and energy of its own and an album project was born. The band then decided to record an album, "My Re-Generation", produced by Elliott and Ronan McHugh (DEF LEPPARD), which was recorded in Elliott's personal studio with basic tracking done at Moor Hall studio Bedfordshire by engineer Chris Corney. The album featured entirely covers of songs by artists related to MOTT THE HOOPLE, such as tracks by MOTT, BRITISH LIONS and Ian Hunter. The band made an appearance at the 2010 High Voltage festival in the U.K., launched their own branded beer, and also announced it would be performing with Paul Rodgers in April 2011 as the opening act on the latter's U.K. tour. On April 21, 2014, DOWN 'N' OUTZ released their second studio album, "The Further Adventures Of..." Classic Rock wrote: "'Further Adventures' raises the bar for MOTT THE HOOPLE covers while giving timeless songs a new lease of life, as classics deserving of a new audience." In addition to Elliott (vocals, guitar, keyboards), the band features THE QUIREBOYS' Paul Guerin (guitar), Guy Griffin (guitar), Keith Weir (keyboards), drummer Phil Martini (WAYWARD SONS) and bassist Share Ross (VIXEN).

CYHRA, the new band featuring vocalist Jake E (ex-AMARANTHE), guitarist Jesper Strömblad (ex-IN FLAMES), guitarist Euge Valovirta (ex-SHINING), bassist Peter Iwers (ex-IN FLAMES) and drummer Alex Landenburg (LUCA TURILLI'S RHAPSODY), made its live debut last night (Friday, October 27) at Nosturi in Helsinki, Finland. Fan-filmed video footage of the concert can be seen below.

CYHRA's debut album, "Letters To Myself", was released on October 20 via Spinefarm Records. The disc was recorded at Top Floor Studios in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Speaking to AntiHero Magazine, Jake stated about CYHRA's formation: "I have been friends with Jesper for a long time, probably ten years. We met for the first time when I was working for IN FLAMES as a pyro technician back in the day. That was also when I got to know Peter. We had been friends since then. I was considering to make a solo album, and I would say that I have no idea what I'm going to do, but I'm probably going to write some songs as well. And he asked me, 'Would you do the vocals on my solo album?' And I said, 'Of course. Would you be interested in playing guitar on whatever I'm doing?' And he said yes. And then we started to talk about what our solo albums, projects, whatever it was meant to be would sound like and when we were discussing that we just realized that okay, we want the same. We want to make the same album. So that's where it all came to be and then we decided to start writing songs together. So, we were actually talking over a cup of coffee on a Friday and then on Monday we actually sat down in the studio and we started working on the first song. So that was really, really good. And then when we were doing the same thing there, we didn't know what to do. But after a couple of songs, everything started to come together. Then Jesper said, 'Okay what are we going to do?' And I said that I had the perfect drummer for this band, and that's Alex Landenburg. I said that you are going to love this guy. And a couple of months later we all met, and Jesper and Alex became best friends instantly. And then Jesper said that it would be cool if Peter would like to join. And so we asked him and he was still the bassist for IN FLAMES, and he said, 'Yeah, absolutely, I will gladly jump on board of this ship. But just to let you know, I am going to still be a member of IN FLAMES as well.' We were cool with that and then things happened like they did. Peter eventually decided to part ways with IN FLAMES."

Regarding the CYHRA sound, Jake said: "It is hard to describe what we sound like because we've been writing for almost a year. We've been influenced by so many different bands. We are, of course, influenced by ourselves. Because like, as the main songwriter in all our different projects before, you know, like, Jesper has his touch of things, I have the touch on my side, and also the other guys. Of course, you will find similarities in our former bands. But I won't say that we have reinvented the wheel in any way, but it's still something that sounds really, really fresh and new, even though music is music. You could always probably find similarities. But I would not say that it sounds like old AMARANTHE, or that it sounds like IN FLAMES. But you could completely, you know, recognize yourself within these boundaries."

Jake E announced his departure from AMARANTHE in February, explaining at the time that he began to feel that "my place both on the albums and live was reduced; I felt like I was superfluous… I started to feel more like a backing singer."

Iwers issued a statement in November 2016 saying that he was leaving IN FLAMES "to pursue other endeavors." He has since been replaced on the road by Bryce Paul, a member of the Southern California pop-rock outfit IVES.

Strömblad quit IN FLAMES in February 2010 in order to continue receiving treatment for his alcohol addiction. He later formed THE RESISTANCE with Marco Aro (vocals, THE HAUNTED) and Glenn Ljungström (guitar, ex-IN FLAMES), only to exit that band in March 2016.

LINKIN PARK's tribute concert to the band's late frontman Chester Bennington was live streamed for free via YouTube and can now be seen in its entirety below. The performance itself took place Friday night (October 27) at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles and saw LINKIN PARK return to the stage for the first time since Bennington took his own life this past July.

Proceeds from the concert, which was billed as "Linkin Park And Friends Celebrate Life In Honor Of Chester Bennington", will go to Music For Relief's One More Light Fund in memory of Bennington.

Among the artists that appeared at the show were Jonathan Davis of KORN, Oliver Sykes from BRING ME THE HORIZON, M. Shadows and Synyster Gates from AVENGED SEVENFOLD, all the members of SYSTEM OF A DOWN except Serj Tankian, members of BLINK-182, Machine Gun Kelly, ex-YELLOWCARD singer Ryan Key, pop singer and LINKIN PARK collaborator Kiiara and more.

One of the most memorable moments of the evening was a spine-tingling rendition of LINKIN PARK's 2001 track "In The End", which saw the band encourage fans to sing Bennington's vocal part.

Prior to playing the track, LINKIN PARK's Mike Shinoda addressed the crowd. "Our special guest on this one is our favorite special guest of the whole night," he said. "And that's fucked up to say because of all these great people that have come out tonight, and if I say that, then that makes them look bad. But I do mean our favorite guests — it's you guys."

A speech from Chester's wife Talinda followed the song. She said: "What an incredible show this has been. Chester and I always loved bringing people together and he was filled with joy when our house was full of family, friends, kids, dogs, cats, birds, turtles — the more the merrier. And he would have loved all of this tonight." She went on to thank her late husband, management, family members, the band and fans across the world for their support, saying: "And to you LINKIN PARK's fans, thank you. Chester always said LINKIN PARK fans were the best, and you know what? He was absolutely fucking right. In the past fourteen weeks, you have lifted each other up. You have lifted me up. You have lifted our children up. From memorials around the world to supporting every day as our family on Twitter, and spreading the love with the hashtags #MakeChesterproud and #fuckdepression."

She continued: "Two of the things that brought Chester the most joy in life were spending time with his family and doing whatever he could to help others. He was incredibly proud of the work done through Music For Relief — he knew it saved lives. And saving lives is exactly what we plan to do in Chester's memory.

"It is time we recognize that mental health is as important as our physical health. It is my mission to make it easier to have access to mental health resources."

Bennington was found dead on July 20 after committing suicide at his home in Palo Verdes Estates, California.

EVANESCENCE has released a new version of its song "Lacrymosa". Taken from the band's next album, "Synthesis", which is due on November 10, the track features full orchestration in a completely synthetic world of beats and sounds, with help from arranger and composer David Campbell. "Synthesis" will feature two new EVANESCENCE songs in addition to fan favorites re-recorded with a live orchestra and electronica. The effort includes guest performance by famed violinist Lindsey Stirling on "Hi-Lo", one of the new tracks on the disc.

The "Synthesis Live" tour launched on October 14 on the West Coast. Like the album, "Synthesis Live" features a reimagining of some of EVANESCENCE's best-loved songs with the spotlight on full orchestra, electronics combined with the band and frontwoman Amy Lee's virtuoso piano and voice.

"This is a total passion project for me. There are so many layers in our music, underneath the huge drums and guitars," explained Lee. "I've always wanted to shine a light on some of the gorgeous David Campbell arrangements and programming elements in our songs, and that idea snowballed into completely re-doing them with full orchestra, not just strings, elaborate programming and experimentation.

"This will be our first time touring with orchestra and I'm so excited to perform this way — really focus on the vocals, and the emotion and the story we've built over the years. I'm also really excited about the new material on the album. Besides the two new songs, there are some really beautiful instrumental in-between moments. The whole thing flows like a big, dynamic soundtrack."

Lee told Graspop.be about "Synthesis": "It's different in a way that it's still coming from the roots of what EVANESCENCE was conceived to be,. It's really a beautiful project. A lot of our old songs are getting a whole new life in a way where we're getting to experience the focus being this beautiful, full orchestra. It's also a lot of electronic, cool elements — parts that have always been part of our music. It hasn't been full orchestra before — it's just been mainly strings — but just taking it to very beautiful, classical and epic and groovy place. Oh, it feels so good. There's some new stuff on it too, but it's mostly old stuff [reimagined]."

Lee also talked in more detail about the making of "Synthesis", explaining: "As far as the conception, basically, you work in demo land first and just create the arrangements of songs. I went through all the master sessions of, say, 'Bring Me To Life', and [I would] pull out all the stuff and listen to it and then chop it up and decide, 'Oh, maybe this part needs to be longer. Maybe this part at the beginning will be just strings and piano.' Just figure out what you're gonna do and build a map. And working with David Campbell, who has done all the string arrangements for EVANESCENCE for all three albums now doing full orchestra, just going back and forth with him and our producer Will and then each other, just throwing ideas in a Dropbox and basically just playing tennis back and forth for months."

"1755", the upcoming album from Portuguese metallers MOONSPELL, can be streamed in its entirety below. Due on November 3 via Napalm Records, the Portuguese-language disc was written about the 1755 Lisbon earthquake, also known as the Great Lisbon earthquake, which occurred in the Kingdom of Portugal. In combination with subsequent fires and a tsunami, the earthquake almost totally destroyed Lisbon and adjoining areas.

"1755" was produced by Tue Madsen (MESHUGGAH, THE HAUNTED, DARK TRANQUILITY, DIR EN GREY, DIE APOKALYPTISCHEN REITER) and features Paulo Bragança supplying the haunting voice of a Fado fallen angel who is a big part of the Portuguese culture. His fascinating vocals are included in the song "In Tremor Dei" (English-language translation: "Fear Of God").

In a 2016 interview with Spark TV, Ribeiro stated about the new MOONSPELL album concept: "I always was very fascinated about the apocalypse, the end of things, and we had this experience in the 18th Century, in 1755, and it really affected not only by the destruction and the death toll — it was very high, and it was probably one of the biggest earthquakes ever to occur on European soil — but it also influenced the way people looked at Gods, at religion, the way Europe changed. And it was tragic and traumatic, but the earthquake was the birth of a more modern Portugal, a Portugal that actually would enjoy a period of prosperity after, and the Portugal that was, before the earthquake, just going down and lost in vice and corruption and greed. So I think it makes for an interesting subject, and it makes it even more interesting if I do it in Portuguese, because it happened there."

It's time for a holiday celebration with THUNDER — before what promises to be a very busy 2018 gets underway. The band will release a brand new song, "Christmas Day", to bookend a very successful phase in its career, which culminated with two studio albums in a row entering the U.K. Top 10 chart. The most recent, "Rip it Up", charted at No. 3, while their recent live concert film, "All You Can Eat", charted at No. 1 and their touring included a U.K. arena tour and numerous concerts across the world. "Christmas Day" is more of a timeless ballad than it is a traditional festive carol and the song reveals the band in a new light. The heartfelt, melancholic track features a stunning and evocative arrangement from guitarist Luke Morley to accompany the unique voice of singer Danny Bowes.

BEHEMOTH frontman Adam "Nergal" Darski has shared a short video of the band rehearsing new material.

The Polish extreme metallers are planning to enter the studio by the end of the year to begin recording their new album for a tentative fall 2018 release. The follow-up to 2014's "The Satanist" will mark the band's first effort since Nergal completed an LP and a short tour with ME AND THAT MAN, his blues, country and folk side project with British/Polish rock musician John Porter.

In an Instagram note accompanying the clip of a new song, Nergal writes: "We have plenty of music we are excited about. It's way too early to make any statements, but soon we'll give you some more insight into what's happening in the BEHEMOTH camp.

"We are officially done with rehearsing new tunes. How does it sound for you?"

Nergal told BlackCraft this past summer that BEHEMOTH had "a shitload of stuff written" for its next album. "I've never been that creative in years," he explained. "We've got ten or twelve songs nailed, pretty much, and there's a lot of [other] stuff written and I'm going through lyrics now. And, actually, [for the] first time ever in our history, in our career, we are working on tour. So we've got this mobile studio and we just fuck around with ideas, with the songs, we go through leads, we practice, we revisit old demos, we try to perfect it and just make it as supreme as we can."

Asked if BEHEMOTH approaches the songwriting process with the intent to push the boundaries further after setting the bar higher with each album, Nergal said: "Yes. I mean, you've gotta do it. But I don't really see BEHEMOTH trying to race with itself. The thing is not really to jump over that bar now, it's just to set it somewhere else, in a different spot. It's like imagine eight-thousand-meter peaks, because there's no nine thousand meters; you've got like a few that are tops of the world, right? So imagine these few eight-thousand-meter tops. We climbed one of them and there's a few more left. So we won't be just trying to find another way to go the same way; we're gonna climb another one. We did Mount Everest; with the next album, we're gonna do K2, and so on and so on. But it's a whole new, different approach, it's a different mountain, it's a different challenge. So I don't wanna go back there, because I've already been there, I've already conquered that mountain. But there's a few more to conquer, so let the challenge begin, and let's fight for it. That's it."

Before the release of BEHEMOTH's next studio effort, fans will receive a "massive" concert DVD and album recorded during "The Satanist" tour, according to Nergal. There will also be a video for another track off "The Satanist", to be included with the DVD.

"David Fucking Bowie", the new video from POWERMAN 5000, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's latest album, "New Wave", which is being released today (Friday, October 27) via Pavement Entertainment.

"New Wave" is POWERMAN 5000's eleventh official release since forming in 1992 and continues the strides and success, from their platinum-selling album "Tonight The Stars Revolt!" to their most recent chart-topping single in 2014, "How To Be A Human".

POWERMAN 5000 vocalist Spider One stated about "David Fucking Bowie": "Bowie really was the best example of how to do it. He transcended genres and made everyone else seem average. This song is basically a big thank you."

Regarding the overall sound of the follow-up to 2014's "Builders Of The Future", vocalist Spider One said: "We went a bit dirtier on this one. Ripped it up more than the last couple of records. One of the goals was to recreate the noise of the live show. Keep in the chaos."

On the topic of the new album title, Spider said: "New Wave? Are we a new wave band? Well, I would say that we have always had more in common with DEVO than DIO."

POWERMAN 5000's legacy continues to push the boundaries of rock, metal, industrial, rap and punk to create innovative and groundbreaking releases time and time again. With 2006's "Dimevision Vol. 1: That's The Fun I Have", fans of "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott and his work with PANTERA and DAMAGEPLAN were afforded the chance to see into the world of the legendary guitarist. Compiled from the many, many hours of video footage captured between the mid-'80s and his later years, it was a funny, touching and poignant memorial.

Metal Blade Records has now announced the release of "Dimevision Vol. 2: Roll With It Or Get Rolled Over" — another true celebration of the man and how he lived his life — on November 24. Pre-orders are available at this location. The DVD/CD set — which will include more raw footage, true gems and classic Dimebag moments — will also include five previously unreleased demos, picked from a vast catalog Dimebag accrued since longtime girlfriend Rita Haney gave him his first four-track in 1984.

Fans of Dimebag, PANTERA and DAMAGEPLAN who have had the opportunity to watch "Dimevision Vol 1: That's The Fun I Have" know it is a funny, touching memorial. "Dimevision Vol 2: Roll With It Or Get Rolled Over" continues this tradition, and today, Metal Blade, Rita Haney and Daryl "Bobby Tongs" Arnberger are pleased to share one of the funniest clips from the set. Watch Dime take part in an "interesting" CPAP machine fitting in the clip below. Haney says: "This particular trailer's focus is on one of the items available from 'Dimevision 2', along with many other props from past home videos. We want to offer up a piece of these magical volumes so that in the future, with the help of his fans, we'll be able to bring more DVD/CD packages to everyone out there that love Dime as much as we do." She adds: "I had just rolled outta bed and the doctor fitting Dime was about an hour early for his appointment. Dime and ST were still up partying, so, of course, things never go as planned in Dime's world!

"One thing people need to realize is that when you're getting fitted for one of these machines, it's imperative that you do not speak during the process so they can ramp the proper amount of air through those things, so you have to keep your mouth closed. But as you can see from this segment in full, that's a damn near impossible feat for him at the moment. It's also impossible to be angry at Dime when he made you laugh all the time!"

Going into making "Dimevision Vol. 2: Roll With It Or Get Rolled Over", Haney worked in collaboration with Daryl "Bobby Tongs" Arnberger, who was not only one of Dimebag's closest friends both on and off the road, but also worked as an official videographer for PANTERA, DAMAGEPLAN and a plethora of A-list musicians, from SLIPKNOT to Dolly Parton, along with film editor Rob Fenn. After cataloguing hundreds of tapes, they chose 43 segments to create "Dimevision Vol. 2".

Arnberger explains: "As we all watched, we envisioned certain segments and ideas coming to life in my head, and rather than it serving as a memorial, this second DVD is more about the vision Dime had in his head for this footage, what he actually wanted it to become. This one is more uplifting, funny, and it stays 100% true to his idea for 'Dimevision'."

Fans of the original know that this way of life involved a lot of whiskey, an insane amount of fireworks and a contagious desire to have fun — and like its predecessor, the title is also drawn from the words of the man himself. Having a habit of latching onto a saying or a phrase, this soon became part of his particular dialect, affectionately dubbed "Dime-bonics." "It comes from something he was saying a lot in 2003 and 2004," Haney recalls. "He'd call from the road and he'd say 'man, I'm beat up out here, but that's the highs and lows of rock and roll. You gotta roll with it or get rolled over.'"

"He had a unique way of seeing things, and he always lived with a video camera," adds Haney. "No matter where we went he was always capturing what was going on, and myself and others around him were filming a lot too. In putting out these videos I just want people to see the way he was, 24/7. What you saw on stage and backstage, that was how he lived."

Unsuspecting visitors to the couple's home were regularly drawn in — memorable segments involve girl scouts selling cookies and Dimebag experiencing an "interesting" CPAP machine fitting — and events as mundane as taking a friend to get a pedicure become hilarious, thanks to his particular way of seeing the world. As endlessly entertaining as Dimebag was, there were of course other, deeper sides to his personality, which are also reflected in both volumes. Haney adds: "There were some really touching, deep, heavy and emotional moments in the first one, where he's talking about himself to the camera while in the shower. Filming himself like that was something he did a lot, and you'd have no clue until you're looking through the tapes and come across them, and when you do the goosebumps crawl all over you. People that love and know Darrell are going to be touched by what he has to say, because it's him telling you for the first time."

As for his included demos, Dimebag not only wrote down the lyrics and dates of everything he recorded but also his thoughts on it at the time, which Haney will also be sharing with fans. However, she's quick to point out that no one should expect high production standards ("It's called a four-track for a reason!") and that these are not "lost" PANTERA tracks. "These songs come from his 'off' time; it was entertainment to him. One of them was even inspired by a George Michael solo record coming out back in the '80s!" she laughs. "But he loved making music and he appreciated all kinds of music, whether he was making a joke of it or not, it still caught his ear, and I hope people can enjoy these songs for what they are and the spirit they were made in."

With so much footage left over, fans can rest assured that as fulfilling as "Dimevision Vol. 2: Roll With It Or Get Rolled Over" is, there's still a lot to look forward to. Haney says, "We hope to make ['Dimevision'] an annual thing. It will all depend on if the fans want it and support it!"

"Miles Away", the new video from LYNCH MOB, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's new album, "The Brotherhood", which was released on September 8 via Rat Pak Records. The disc was produced by Chris "The Wizard" Collier (FLOTSAM AND JETSAM, PRONG, KXM) and features eleven brand new hard rock tracks.

"The Brotherhood" highlights the unique pairing of Oni Logan and George Lynch, and, along with Sean McNabb (bass) and Jimmy D'Anda (drums), the band has created a solid offering from start to finish. From the heavy guitar riffs of the opening track, "Main Offender", to the melodic album finale, "Miles Away", LYNCH MOB has once again proven it remains on top of its game.

Logan comments: "After doing quite a few miles together with this latest lineup of Sean McNabb and Jimmy D'Anda, we consider ourselves a pack of wolves, and we came up with the name 'The Brotherhood' for the title of the next LYNCH MOB album. It's got more of an adventurous sound in part and maybe a darker, colder sound to it.

"We are always willing to go farther. We come from the early '90s and it's when we released the first LYNCH MOB album which set a sound and course for us. Here we are 27 years later [and] George and I are still able to keep on stretching. As a player, as a writer, that is very important to us. Otherwise, we would be fooling ourselves and fooling you."

Lynch adds: "We wrote this album as a band and the name of the record reflects what the band is about and what all my bands have been about since I've been a kid. This is my second family. These are my brothers. You go through a lot together and have a lot of experiences together. And that then becomes a part of the music."

Swiss folk metallers ELUVEITIE have just released a brand-new single, "Rebirth". The song is the first taste of the band's upcoming album, which is due next year.

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH already completed its seventh studio effort almost a year ago, but contractual issues with Prospect Park has delayed its arrival.

Guitarist Jason Hook told SpazioRock: "Everybody that's heard the record so far thinks it's our best record. I'm super excited about it. I thought we fucking knocked it out of the park. There's some really cool, different things on there that are slightly different for us. There's certainly a chunk of what you would expect from FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, but there's some solid songs that are slightly outside of our regular box. But everyone thinks it's a smash."

Prospect Park initially sued FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH in 2016 for breach of contract, alleging that the group wanted to rush the recording of a new album. The company claimed that the band's contract prohibited it from beginning to record a new effort until at least nine months had passed since the release of the previous one.

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH signed a new North American recording deal with Rise Records last year. They also filed a lawsuit against Prospect Park in April, asking a judge to release them from their contract and order the company to pay over a million dollars in damages.

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH has also dealt with singer Ivan Moody's struggles with substance abuse, which forced him to miss a number of shows last year and this past spring.

The band is currently preparing to embark on the biggest European arena rock tour of fall 2017. They'll be on the road co-headlining with IN FLAMES and special guests OF MICE & MEN.

Two weeks prior to the release of SINSAENUM's brand new EP, "Ashes", the lyric video for a very special remix of the band's debut album classic "Dead Souls" has been premiered. Renowned French producer and musician Frederic Duquesne (MASS HYSTERIA, guitar) remixed the powerful tune, giving it a new touch.

German thrash metal veterans DESTRUCTION will release their new "best-of-old-school" album, "Thrash Anthems II", on November 10 via Nuclear Blast.

A decade ago, DESTRUCTION proved how successful re-recording some of their timeless classics and re-imagining history could be. The follow-up to 2007's "Thrash Anthems" is ready to rock the metal world and shows how fans can be part of both a band's history and future. For "Thrash Anthems II", DESTRUCTION called upon on their loyal fans through PledgeMusic to help them create the record and contribute to the band's epic history.

DESTRUCTION bassist/vocalist Schmier states: "As it is a part of our past to relaunch classic songs from our history with a fresh face and we had many demands on a 'Thrash Anthems' continuation, we decided to do a second part of this re-animation of classic '80s DESTRUCTION material.

"For us, it was important to choose the tracks with the fans and first when Nuclear Blast did not wanna do the album, we decided to do a pledge campaign to raise the fonds for the production together with the diehards.

"To make a long story short, we know not everybody will like these new versions of those thrash evergreens (just listen to the originals then) but it was an important task for us to keep them alive for a whole new generation of metalheads that love those fresh and brutal new recordings.

"We are very happy now that our label is finally releasing this collection of thrash classics. The vibe on this record is so vicious, non-commercial and has this '80s feeling with a even more aggressive edge, and that is was made our thrash so special, in the good old days and now!"

Canadian thrashers ANNIHILATOR will release their sixteenth studio album, "For The Demented", on November 3 via Neverland Music/Silver Lining Music. The follow-up to 2015's "Suicide Society" will be available in a limited-edition digipack with lenticular cover, a jewel-case CD, a twelve-inch, 180-gram colored vinyl in gatefold and digital download.

Guitarist and vocalist Jeff Waters says: "'One To Kill' is about an abusive relationship but the victim finally got out. The abuser had to face a court, was subsequently charged and paid a price. Good. Abuse of women and children is terrible but it also happens, often, to men."

Pre-orders are now live at this location. "It was time to analyze what a lot of fans over the years have kept telling me," says Waters. "It was time to sit down and figure out 'why' ANNIHILATOR's early 'thrash-meets-melodic' caught the ears of so many and to try to sweep the 'fan' part of my writing/playing/singing out the door and welcome back the mostly original Waters writing that was to be the first four ANNIHILATOR albums." Waters didn't venture back alone while looking back through ANNIHILATOR's history. "I was well aware that trying to re-capture the past usually fails, or at least won't come close," he says. "So, I decided to bring in fresh ears, both musically and physically with Rich Hinks, my bassist for the last few years. And doing most all of the records by myself, including writing and playing most all on my own, as well as mixing, mastering, engineering, etc… well, it can become routine and can often hinder you from being objective and more creative. "Rich came in and co-wrote the music with me, as well as co-produced the beginning stages of the record. His background of classic thrash metal meets a newer 'math' metal style was the perfect combination for me to simply ask, 'What do you think of this?' He would most-often reply with 'not the ANNIHILATOR style I like,' so we would keep going until we both felt that core ANNIHILATOR riffing and writing style presented itself."

Jeff continues: "Bottom line, 'For The Demented' captures some feel from ANNIHILATOR's 1985-87 demos mixed with the first four ANNIHILATOR records. Back to the thrash-meets-melody but with some pure Waters guitar riffing, upgraded lead guitar shredding and vocals back to the demo days meets the 'King of The Kill' record. Lyrically, I placed a theme on the record: the human mind and all of its glory, complexity, diversity, weaknesses and insanity! Pretty much the craziness of the music is matched by the lyrics. Since 1989, ANNIHILATOR have not stopped putting out records and touring the world. Despite the ever-changing climate of the metal world (and releasing a series of "different" metal records with various lineups along the way), Waters and company have consistently delivered strong albums since the band's debut, "Alice In Hell". Then there was 1990's best-selling "Never, Neverland", 1995's "King Of The Kill", "Schizo Deluxe" in 2005 and many other critically acclaimed releases up until "Suicide Society". The "under-the-radar" influence of this band, and Waters, has been felt throughout the entire realm of the metal world by a ton of well-known musicians and bands; that influence even stretching into the hard rock and instrumentalist genre. Waters, in his usual humble manner, offers this in response: "ANNIHILATOR's music has been influenced by a good hundred of my favorite bands and musicians; you can hear their contributions to what I have been doing all throughout ANNIHILATOR's catalog. Doro Pesch has just released her first German-language album titled "Für Immer" via her own label, Rare Diamonds Productions.

Conceived by Doro back in 1987, "Für Immer" was a divine ballad and her very first German song ever — and possibly the first track in the history of heavy rock that connected German and English lyrical passages.

"Für Immer" celebrates its thirtieth anniversary this year and that's why a fitting unique Doro album has just been released: "Für Immer", which includes seventeen German, digitally remastered Doro tracks, including well-known songs and fan favorites such as "Alles Ist Gut", "Herzblut", "Engel" and "In Liebe Und Freundschaft".

Additionally, Doro has included some extra surprises, with German versions of some of her classics: "Give Me A Reason" ("Ein Stück Ewigkeit") and "My Majesty" ("Jede Seele Tief") as well as an absolute rarity, "Seelied", which has never been released before.

"It's a song I wrote ages ago, but now it has finally found its perfect home, on the German album," explains Doro regarding the song, which she recorded only accompanied by a guitar and a piano.

Doro's brand-new cover version of David Bowie's immortal hit "Heroes" ("Helden"), is one of the highlights of the album, which is available on CD and limited 2LP picture disc (plus two bonus tracks, "Tausend Mal Gelebt" and "Für Immer"). The track was previously released as a seven-inch single.

"'Heroes' is one of my all-time favourites, the song also works very well in German," Doro explains. Speaking about her connection to the late megastar Bowie, she continues: "We met regularly in the '90s since we both recorded and rehearsed a lot in the famous SIR Studio in New York. Bowie's guitarist, Earl Slick, even played on 'In Freiheit Stirbt Mein Herz' from my 'Machine II Machine' album (1995). Earl is an outstanding guitar player — and the song is, of course, also a part of the new 'Für Immer' record."

With the formation of her own label, a longtime dream of the metal icon came true. "Now I'm able to realize my ideas and fulfil the wishes of the fans," she says. "It was about time to finally release all my beautiful German songs as one album. A lot of fans had asked for this for a long time."

She adds: "On Rare Diamonds Productions, nice collector's box sets, re-releases and rarities will see the light of day from time to time. We also focus on picture discs and shaped vinyls — we want to do it the old-school way how the fans like it the most."

Due to unforeseen personal circumstances, U.K. doom metal veterans MY DYING BRIDE have have regretfully canceled their appearances at four festivals in Europe: Eindhoven Metal Meeting in The Netherlands, Madrid Is The Dark in Spain, Aalborg Metal Festival in Denmark, and HRH Doom vs. HRH Stoner in England.

Vocalist Aaron Stainthorpe has since issued the following statement: "I would like to quash some recent rumors regarding the demise of MY DYING BRIDE in the light of our previous statements. We most certainly are NOT splitting up and in fact are vigorously composing the next album right now.

"The reason we have had to cancel a run of shows is due to a severe and fearful illness that has struck a member of my immediate family for which I have now dedicated all my time until signs of improvement. The other five members of the band, however, are working hard to produce the next opus which will be our debut for new label partners Nuclear Blast and will be released in 2018. I will do my part when the time comes and I can assure fans that it is going to be suitably epic.

"Apologies to all who were looking forward to seeing us perform live, but rest assured, we will be back!"

Peaceville Records celebrated the twenty-fifth anniversary of MY DYING BRIDE with a deluxe ninety-two-page twelve-inch hardback book on the rise of the U.K. doom metal legends. The book contains five discs of rarities, early works, newly unearthed and never-previously-heard pre-production demos, band track favorites, and live audio.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, ASESINO has canceled its appearance at this year's Knotfest México.

ASESINO guitarist Dino Cazares has a fractured fibula in his right leg from an accident and is unable to travel with the band.

Dino, who also plays guitar in FEAR FACTORY, says: "I apologize and promise that we will make it up to you. Viva México Cabrones!"

ASESINO's December 16 concert at the Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood, California will go ahead as scheduled.

This year's Knotfest México will take place on Saturday, October 28 at Foro Pegaso in Toluca, Mexico.

ASESINO is the death metal/grindcore project featuring Cazares and FEAR FACTORY/ex-STATIC-X bassist Tony Campos (on bass/vocals).

ASESINO has spent the last few years sporadically working on material for its long-awaited third album.

The band's second disc, "Cristo Satanico", came out in 2006.

Longtime GWAR guitarist Michael Derks, who performs as BälSäc The Jaws 'O Death, has been diagnosed with myelofibrosis, a serious bone marrow disorder that disrupts the body's normal production of blood cells.

Derks revealed his medical condition via post on DKMS, an international nonprofit dedicated to the fight against blood cancer and blood disorders, in which he said that he "began to experience extreme fatigue and weakness" while he was out with GWAR on this past summer's Vans Warped Tour. "Eventually it got to the point where the people around me insisted that I go to the hospital," he wrote. "I was treated for severe anemia, but extensive testing did not reveal a cause. When I got home, my hemoglobin levels continued to fall and the only course of treatment has been a series of blood transfusions to keep my red and white blood cells from dropping to dangerous levels. I went for further testing at the Massey Cancer Center at MCV and the doctors there have diagnosed me with myelofibrosis, a disease that causes scarring inside of the bones and interferes with the marrow's ability to produce blood cells. If left to run its course, the doctors say I am most likely to only survive another three to five years.

"There is a treatment with a chance of curing my condition, a bone marrow transplant," he continued. "This procedure involves destroying my diseased bone marrow with high doses of chemotherapy, and then replacing it with healthy marrow from a donor. I will hopefully have the transplant early next year. I will spend a month in the hospital and then at least a year in recovery, where my immune system will be practically non-existent. The procedure has a mortality rate of 30%, but the Massey Center has brought this down to around 15%. With my family’s help and the support of my friends, I will beat this.

"Since the only thing I can do while the doctors try to find a matching donor is to get myself physically fit, I've decided to not let the impending hospitalization keep me from doing what I enjoy most, performing with GWAR," Derks said. "I will be joining them on the upcoming North American tour where we will be playing many of the songs from our new album, 'The Blood Of Gods', a record that I am prouder of than anything else I've put out in my 30-year career.

"I will be using labs across the country to monitor my blood over the next two months as we travel and will probably have to leave the tour at least once to come home for a transfusion, but as hard as the road can be, I look forward to the curative effect it can have on my soul. Everyone I have told about my condition have asked what they can do to help.

"I have teamed up with the incredible people at Love Hope Strength to offer a way for my friends and fans to not only help me, but all of the thousands of people out there in need of a bone marrow transplant. "The Blood Of Gods" was released on October 20 via Metal Blade. The disc was produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by Ronan Chris "Lord God" Murphy and will be made available in standard CD, 2LP colored vinyl and digital formats.

A brand new FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH song called "Trouble" has been released via Spotify. The track, which can be streamed below, is one of two new cuts which will be included on the band's upcoming greatest-hits collection, apparently titled "A Decade Of Destruction" and due in December.

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH recently resolved its legal battle with its longtime record company, Prospect Park. As a result, the band and the label have announced the release of the greatest-hits album, with a brand new full-length disc to follow next year. FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH already completed its seventh studio effort almost a year ago, but contractual issues with the record company has delayed its arrival.

Guitarist Jason Hook told SpazioRock: "Everybody that's heard the record so far thinks it's our best record. I'm super excited about it. I thought we fucking knocked it out of the park. There's some really cool, different things on there that are slightly different for us. There's certainly a chunk of what you would expect from FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, but there's some solid songs that are slightly outside of our regular box. But everyone thinks it's a smash."

Prospect Park initially sued FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH in 2016 for breach of contract, alleging that the group wanted to rush the recording of a new album. The company claimed that the band's contract prohibited it from beginning to record a new effort until at least nine months had passed since the release of the previous one.

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH's last studio effort, "Got Your Six", came out in September 2015.

The group signed a new North American recording deal with Rise Records last year. They also filed a lawsuit against Prospect Park in April, asking a judge to release them from their contract and order the company to pay over a million dollars in damages.

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH has also dealt with singer Ivan Moody's struggles with substance abuse, which forced him to miss a number of shows last year and this past spring.

British hard rock band MAGNUM will release its new album, "Lost On The Road To Eternity", on January 19, 2018 via Steamhammer/SPV. It will be the twentieth studio recording by the group led by founding members Bob Catley (vocals) and Tony Clarkin (guitar) since its 1978 debut, "Kingdom Of Madness". At the same time, Clarkin, Catley and bassist Al Barrow are set to introduce their current lineup, featuring new additions Rick Benton (keyboards) and Lee Morris (ex-PARADISE LOST; drums). Benton joined the MAGNUM camp in December 2016 to replace longstanding member Mark Stanway, while Morris took over from Harry James only a few months ago. "Lost On The Road To Eternity" contains eleven new songs, among them the first single "Without Love" and a duet by Catley and Tobias Sammet on the title track, a kind of artistic thank you by the EDGUY and AVANTASIA frontman in appreciation of Catley's guest stint on a number of Sammet's releases. The release will once again be complemented by Rodney Matthews's atmospheric cover artwork as well as a total of four live bonus tracks on the CD digipak version ("Sacred Blood - Divine Lies", "Crazy Old Mothers", "Your Dreams Won't Die" and "Twelve Men Wise And Just") recorded at MAGNUM's 2017 performance at the Leyendas Del Rock festival in Alicante, Spain.

"Lost On The Road To Eternity" will be made available as a digipak version including a bonus live disc, 2LP colored version, download and stream.

HELLYEAH will enter The Hideout Recording Studio in Las Vegas, Nevada in early November to begin recording its sixth album. The follow-up to 2016's "Unden!able" will once again be produced by Kevin Churko, who helmed the band's last effort and its predecessor, 2014's "Blood For Blood".

During an interview with VintageRock.com on the "black carpet" at this year's Loudwire Music Awards in Los Angeles, California, HELLYEAH drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott stated about the group's plans for the coming months (see video below): "We just finished a hundred and ninety-two tour dates with HELLYEAH. Our current single, 'Love Falls', is Number Five in the United States Of America right now and still climbing. And we start in about a week and a half with Kevin Churko in Las Vegas on our next record. So things are going good, we're staying busy, and we're looking forward to a busy, busy, busy year next year."

HELLYEAH guitarist Tom Maxwell told Metalshop TV earlier in the year that he wanted to keep using Churko for the remainder of the band's record career. "I don't wanna work with anybody else," he said. "[He's] kind of like the sixth member.

"For me, producers… It's a loosely thrown around word," he continued. "In my opinion, most producers are just glorified engineers. They know how to do good sounds, but a good producer, to me, is a composer who can bring ideas, who can help you re-write your song five or six different ways. And that's a good thing to have. I welcome feedback, and I welcome other ideas. It just inspires me. You might not like it, you might like it; you've just gotta try it and see if it works."

"Unden!able" was released on June 3, 2016 via Eleven Seven Music. The effort marked the first time HELLYEAH's current lineup — Maxwell, Abbott, singer Chad Gray, guitarist Christian Brady and bassist Kyle Sanders — recorded together as a unit.

A "deluxe" edution of "Unden!able" will be made available on October 27 via Eleven Seven Music as a CD/DVD Best Buy exclusive and CD and live audio digital deluxe. The physical package contains the fan-shot live concert DVD, "We're All In This Together". The digital package contains the live audio from the DVD.

"Unden!able" features three Top 10 U.S. Active Rock singles: "Human", "I Don't Care Anymore" and "Love Falls".

Featuring footage from HELLYEAH's Australian leg of the 2015 "Blood For Blood" world tour captured by the band's fans, "We're All In This Together" also includes frank on-camera discussions with Gray discussing the heavy metal lifestyle and their history within the heavy metal community.

Swedish metal outfit AMARANTHE has released a remix of its song "Maximize". The opening track of the band's "Maximalism" album was remixed by up-and-coming Finnish electronic music producer/DJ Bliniks, who commented: "For me, heavy metal has been a huge savior in inspiration for the last few years, and nowadays I have a massive urge to combine the elements of melodic metal with the heavier side of electronic music.

"AMARANTHE's 'Maximize' was an amazing experience to remix, because the original was so melodic and uplifting that I already got an amazing idea for a remix after hearing for the first time.

"Dubstep is one of my most common genres that I produce and the reason why I decided to go right into the remix with dubstep is because some of the modern dubstep is pretty much inspired by heavy metal, but for some reason that has been somewhat forgotten. This remix also includes some bigroom house and trap elements at the end of the remix, so it's the most varied remix that I have produced to this day." Added AMARANTHE guitarist Olof Mörck: "Electronic soundscapes have always been a vital part of AMARANTHE's sound, and yet we have tried very little in the realm of collaborations and remixes. 'Maximize' was just a perfect track for such an experiment, and from the very first time we heard Bliniks's rendition of the song, we were blown away. For a remix, it really retains the heaviness of the track, but from a brand new and fresh perspective! With an array of cutting edge sounds and electronic vistas, Bliniks have produced a remix that could both appeal to headbanger and EDM fan alike — and that is saying a lot!" DYNAZTY's Nils Molin officially joined AMARANTHE in July as the replacement for the departed singer Jake E.

Having previously used Chris Adam Hedman Sörbye from the band SMASH INTO PIECES as a stand-in for Jake on some of the shows in 2016 and earlier this year, AMARANTHE recruited Molin for three Swedish concerts in March and he has been part of the group's live appearances ever since.
