The European leg of METALLICA's "WorldWired" tour kicked off in Copenhagen, Denmark on September 2 and will run through November. After a break, the trek will pick up again on February 1, 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal, and continue through May, finishing up in Helsinki, Finland.

The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame band is touring in support of its tenth studio album, "Hardwired... To Self-Destruct", which came out last November.

The first ten of the shows of the North American "WorldWired" tour during May and June grossed $49.5 million in ticket sales.

METALLICA drummer Lars Ulrich told Rolling Stone that the band was genuinely surprised to learn they could still play stadiums, saying, "It was like, 'Holy fuck, people really still care about this band in ways that you stopped taking for granted literally decades ago. It was very inspiring and kind of eye-opening."

He added: "Full stadium runs can sometimes be a little intimidating. There's all these things to worry about like, 'You should really try to play maybe only on the weekend,' and, 'Where do you play on Tuesday?' and some of those practicalities can get a little bewildering. We just threw caution to the wind. Doing a stadium run seemed like the perfect thing on the back of how well this record has been received and all the good will that's out there in METALLICA's world right now."

"The Voice Of Deep Purple: The Gillan Years" from Ian Gillan will be released on November 17 on 3CD digipack through Store For Music.

As DEEP PURPLE undertakes its "final" live dates around the globe on "The Long Goodbye" tour, we celebrate the "Gillan years." This set contains three albums taken from across this legendary performer's incredible and hugely varied career: "Naked Thunder" (1990), "Scarabus" (1977) and "Accidentally On Purpose" (1988).

As well as each album in full, the set includes five bonus tracks: "Smoke On The Water", "Black Night" and "Restless" from GILLAN; "Child In Time", "Woman From Tokyo" from IAN GILLAN BAND, plus an interview with Ian Gillan in Tokyo, during the GILLAN Japanese tour.

Gillan is best known of course as the lead singer and lyricist for the truly legendary DEEP PURPLE but his musical career takes in other avenues too. Upon leaving PURPLE in 1973, Gillan subsequently formed THE IAN GILLAN BAND (around late 1975/early '76) and the band simply called GILLAN in 1978. After a spell fronting BLACK SABBATH, Gillan rejoined a reunited DEEP PURPLE IN 1984. He left the band briefly in 1989 but rejoined a couple of years later and he performs with them still today across the world.

Friberg told Decibel magazine about "The Reprobate": "Musically, it's way different [from the debut]. 'Shadow Realms' was, in a way, a try out, to explore our sound. In the beginning, we know how we wanted it to sound, but not really how to get there. As all new bands in the beginning, I guess. Nonetheless, I think we executed 'Shadow Realms' very well. It's an open fire, in-your-face kind of album. On 'The Reprobate', we have a found our sound in a whole new level and we know each other way better musically also. There is also more thought behind 'The Reprobate'. Vibe-wise, I think that people will feel that 'The Reprobate' is more grandiose. It's a bigger, faster, more evil album. You can compare the two like this. 'Shadow Realms' is mad doctor slicing you up while 'The Reprobate' is a grand coliseum with gladiators and carnivores slicing you up. They are both spot-on, but they are creepy in different ways."

Added Brandt: "To me, it is a natural step. A progress and continuation both as a band as an album. Some parts of 'Shadow Realms' I had written about ten years earlier. I wrote the main riff in 'Necromance' in an apartment in London on a day off on a tour several years back. But some of those riffs and parts never became songs. I did not have anywhere to make use of them, really. So, in a way, 'Shadow Realms' took longer to write. 'The Reprobate' was a much faster process. We even had material ready before 'Shadow Realms' was released. And since we play live as much as we can, the live performance aspect was something we thought a lot about too. We now have a wider selection when we play live. Since we know what type of feeling or style of songs we felt we wanted to add to the live set, we made that happen with 'The Reprobate'. Malmsteen has just embarked on the second 2017 leg of his "World On Fire" U.S. headlining tour. Yngwie and his ensemble of musicians are performing pieces from the legendary neo-classical stylings of "Rising Force" (1984) as well as songs from the fierce "World On Fire", and material from everything in between.

Malmsteen's previous U.S. trek marked his first run of dates in the States since 2016 when he took part in the "Generation Axe" tour alongside Steve Vai, Zakk Wylde, Nuno Bettencourt and Tosin Abasi, playing to more than seventy thousand people over twenty-seven shows.

Yngwie's latest album, "World On Fire", came out in June 2016 via King Records. He told Seymour Duncan about the CD: "I spent two years [working] on it, touring, recording, touring, recording. And that's much, much better, actually, in a way. Back in the day I would write the songs then rehearse them with some musicians, then go and do a backing track and we'd record it, mix it, learn the songs to go play them on tour, then do it all again. That way isn't necessarily conducive to making the best music, y'know what I mean? So in a very, very backhanded way, this weird twist of fate in the music industry has actually made it a more inspiring environment, for me at least. I can write anytime and record anytime. My recording studio is always open, twenty-four hours. I can just record when I want and it's a beautiful thing."

Asked what the new record sounds like, Malmsteen said: "It's a Malmsteen record. [Laughs] But I would say it's a little different. First of all, I do all the lead vocals on it. Any time I did lead vocals in the past, I was singing blues stuff. This time I decided to do lead vocals in my style of songwriting, so it's different in that way. It's a very hard-hitting album and some parts are very advanced, very complicated. But it's a broad record. It's definitely a must-listen-to!"

Kid Rock announced today that he will release his new album, "Sweet Southern Sugar", on November 3. He will also hit the road on his "Greatest Show On Earth Tour 2018", produced by Live Nation.

The tour kicks off on January 19 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee and will continue with twenty-one shows from coast to coast. Fans of the rocker can expect the same high-energy experience, but with brand new tracks from his latest album.

"Sweet Southern Sugar" is Kid Rock's first album recorded in Nashville and features his spontaneous summer releases "Greatest Show On Earth" and "Po-Dunk", as well as recent single "Tennessee Mountain Top". NOCTURNAL RITES previously announced plans to enter the studio in 2011 to record the follow-up to 2007's "The 8th Sin" album.

Guitarist Nils Norberg left NOCTURNAL RITES in June 2008 and was later replaced by Christoffer Rörland. As of 2012, Rörland became the new guitarist in SABATON, while his spot in NOCTURNAL RITES was taken over by Per Nilsson.

"The 8th Sin" in 2007 landed on the Japanese album chart at position No. 68 (No. 28 on "international" chart).

Welsh metallers BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE will enter the studio on November 6 to begin recording their sixth album.

The band writes on Instagram: "Final day of pre-production tomorrow before we head off to Mexico on Thursday for the final show of 2017.

"It's been an intense few months of writing, rewriting and demoing our asses off."

BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE guitarist/vocalist Matt Tuck told A Music Blog, Yea in June that the group's latest song, "Don't Need You", which was released as a standalone single last November, is "pretty much" a good indication of what fans can expect to hear on the band's next album. "There's some stuff in that vein, and there's a lot of other stuff we've been working which is… kind of a… not new direction, but we wrote two or three songs which are kind of a different sound for us, but we're really happy with, so we're gonna see how that goes, really," he said.

Tuck added that BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE has attempted to change up its songwriting approach in order to produce an album that will stand on its own merits rather than follow a tried-and-tested formula.

"Stylistically, we just wanna make bigger songs — in a less more busy way, musically, and just really, really focus on the vocal tracks and the vocal melodies and stuff," he explained. "And everything else then is built around it rather than the other way around, which we've done in the past."

But this doesn't mean that BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE will completely abandon its signature balance of heavy, coupled with surging melody.

"I think this new batch of songs, we're not stepping away from it, but we definitely wanna do something which is not the same as 'Venom'," Tuck said. "So we're just trying to make this album its own body of work rather than a continuation of a sound."

BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE's last album, "Venom", came out in August 2015. The CD marked BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE's first release since the departure of longtime bassist Jason James and addition of Jamie Mathias (formerly of REVOKER).

Longtime BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE drummer Michael "Moose" Thomas has not played with the group since early last year when he stepped away to spend time with his wife as they awaited the birth of his first child. He has since been replaced on tour by Jason Bowld (PITCHSHIFTER, AXEWOUND).

"Sinister", the first joint studio album by Carmine and Vinny Appice, will be released on October 27 through SPV/Steamhammer as CD digipack, double gatefold vinyl, download and stream.

You're unlikely to find a phenomenon like Carmine and Vinny Appice a second time in the history of rock music. For more than forty years, the two brothers have been among the most sought-after and renowned rock drummers worldwide. Carmine and Vinny (each of them on his own) can be heard on numerous legendary albums and have toured countless times with some of the world's greatest acts. Carmine embarked on his musical path in the 1960s with the unforgotten VANILLA FUDGE, manning in the course of his illustrious career the drums for superstars such as Rod Stewart and Ozzy Osbourne, among others. His brother Vinny, who is eleven years his junior, looks back on an equally spectacular career, having worked with acts such as BLACK SABBATH, HEAVEN & HELL and DIO, among others. Shortino also lends his awesome vocals to "War Cry" and the programmatic "Monsters And Heroes", the latter also featuring BULLETBOYS guitarist Mick Sweda, while Shortino teams up with WHITESNAKE stringsman Joel Hoekstra on "War Cry". Talking of vocals: "Sinister", "Danger" (bass: Phil Soussan), "In The Night" (guitar: Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal) and "Sabbath Mash" (guitar: Erik Turner, keyboards: Erik Norlander) are all sung by Jim Crean, while Chas West recorded the vocal parts for "Killing Floor", Scotty Bruce featuring on "Future Past" and Robin McAuley on "Riot". The biggest surprise of all: Carmine himself doubles as vocalist on "You Got Me Running". Vinny says: "Carmine has been singing lead and background for years. He's a very good singer and I"m glad he sang one number on this record."

U.K. metalcore band ASKING ALEXANDRIA will release its new, self-titled album on December 15 via Sumerian. The disc will mark the group's first full-length effort with singer Danny Worsnop since he rejoined ASKING ALEXANDRIA last fall.

"Asking Alexandria" was produced by FROM FIRST TO LAST's Matt Good and mixed by Taylor Larson.

The reunion between Danny and ASKING ALEXANDRIA was confirmed in October 2016 following weeks of rumors and speculation regarding the status of his replacement, Denis Shaforostov, who joined the band in 2015.

Danny, who released a solo album, "The Long Road Home", in February while still being involved with his other band WE ARE HARLOT in between acting gigs, told Finland's Kaaos TV that he is working closely with the members of ASKING ALEXANDRIA to ensure that he is able to pursue other projects alongside his touring and recording activities with AA.

When Danny's return to ASKING ALEXANDRIA was first announced, Bruce said in a video message that Shaforostov had "just stopped talking to us." But Denis later tweeted, "I left AA because I can't be in a touring band at this point in my life. There's no drama and I don't want to be a part of it."

METALLICA will perform at Band Together Bay Area, a benefit concert at AT&T Park in San Francisco on Thursday, November 9 supporting recovery efforts for the recent firestorm that swept through Northern California. Also scheduled to appear are G-Eazy and DAVE MATTHEWS BAND.

Tickets, which range from $49.50 to $199.50, will go on sale Friday via Ticketmaster, which has pledged to donate all processing fees to the relief effort. Prime seats in the stadium will be reserved for first responders, volunteers and families who were caught in the firestorm.

METALLICA guitarist Kirk Hammett, who nearly lost his house in Sonoma's Mission Highlands, told the San Francisco Chronicle: "On the Cal Fire map, the fire ends right on top of my house. The reality is that it ended at my front gate. It's brutal. The mental and psychological toll is what I always think about."

The METALLICA members said in a statement that they were "proud" to take part in the event "to assist the families impacted by the fires and show our immense appreciation to the thousands of first responders who have been working tirelessly since the fires began."

They explained: "Earlier this month Northern California, the community that we have called home for over thirty-four years, endured devastating wildfires. We're extremely saddened by the suffering that so many are feeling in the Bay Area, but are also inspired by the enormous outpouring of love and support from all around the country."

One hundred percent of the ticket price will be donated to Tipping Point Community benefitting low-income, vulnerable communities impacted by the crisis, including vineyard workers, immigrants, displaced young people, and students.

Legendary drummer Vinny Appice spoke to Metal Rules about the progress of the songwriting and recording sessions for LAST IN LINE's upcoming sophomore album, tentatively due in early 2018.

"We went into the studio and recorded five songs, basic tracks," Vinny said. "Andy [Freeman] is in the process of finishing some vocals on a few of them. It sounds great. We are writing with Phil Soussan on bass, which has been very productive and creative. The other day we got together and wrote a couple of more ideas. We usually write them and then live with them for a little while before sending them to Andy to add the melody.

"We are going back in the studio in December to hopefully finish another four or five songs," he continued. "The goal is to have the CD out sometime next year. We also have some shows on the East Coast in November. All the places we played earlier this year want us back. They want to book the band again even though we were just there."

According to Vinny, LAST IN LINE's touring activities are restricted by DEF LEPPARD's schedule as well as Freeman and Soussan's involvement in the long-running Las Vegas rock and roll production "Raiding The Rock Vault". "We have those shows on the East Coast this year, and then in the beginning of first quarter next year, we will do more shows," he said. "It will be like four or five shows at a time."

Vinny was also full of praise for Freeman, saying that "Andy sings great consistently every night, just like Ronnie [James Dio]. That is pretty hard to do when you a have a lot of volume behind you and have to sing over it.

"We all get along, and the laughing you see us doing is us having a great time," he added. "I love this band, on and off the stage."

LAST IN LINE's second album is once again being produced by Jeff Pilson (DOKKEN, FOREIGNER), who also worked on 2016's "Heavy Crown".

Appice, Campbell and bassist Jimmy Bain were part of the original DIO lineup which reunited in 2012 alongside Freeman to launch LAST IN LINE.

When LAST IN LINE formed, the intent was to celebrate Ronnie James Dio's early work by reuniting the members of the original DIO lineup. After playing shows that featured a setlist composed exclusively of material from the first three DIO albums, the band decided to move forward and create new music in a similar vein.

Campbell recently told Ultimate Classic Rock that the new LAST IN LINE songs were a progression from the debut. "Some of the arrangements for these ideas that are in play at the moment, I would say they're a little more complex than what's on the first record," he said. "But it's really starting to take shape as a band, and we do very much try to write as a band. That's how we did the first record with LAST IN LINE — we'd just get in there and kick around ideas. A lot of times, stuff would come out of nothing.

"I've always said that I've been fortunate to play with so many great musicians and so many great drummers over the years, but Vinny inspires me like no other," he continued. "There's just times when we go in to write when I kind of feel like I don't have any solid ideas that I can bring to the party. Vinny will just play a beat, and he plays with such great intent. It just kind of inspires me. Frequently, we'll come up with ideas, just because of a groove that Vinny's laying down. It is very uplifting, I've got to say."

Soussan joined LAST IN LINE last year as the replacement for Bain, who passed away in January 2016 at the age of 68. He was reportedly suffering from lung cancer at the time of his death.

QUIET RIOT's new album, "Road Rage", was released on August 4 via Frontiers Music Srl.

The band is is led by drummer Frankie Banali, who is joined by bassist Chuck Wright (who has been in and out of the group since 1982), guitarist Alex Grossi (who has been in the band since 2004), and new vocalist James Durbin.

Durbin, who became known as the "metal guy" on 2011's season of "American Idol" after performing "Living After Midnight" and "Breaking The Law" with JUDAS PRIEST, hooked up with QUIET RIOT after the dismissal of Seann Nicols (a.k.a. Sheldon Tarsha; formerly of ADLER'S APPETITE). Nicols was with QUIET RIOT for just a few months, but long enough to record the vocals for an early version of "Road Rage".

"Road Rage" was originally scheduled for release in the spring of 2017, but with the injection of newfound energy for the band with the addition of Durbin in the vocalist slot, the band decided to scrap the original sessions and record a new version of the album with the new and improved lineup.

Asked how new QUIET RIOT singer James Durbin is working out so far, Banali told RockEyez: "It's been really, really great. He's an incredible live performer, which is a must with QUIET RIOT, once you understand the legacy that [late QUIET RIOT singer] Kevin DuBrow left behind. So he's a great live performer, but he also has… Kevin had a really unique and incredible range, vocal range, and James can hit all those notes that Kevin hit. He's a different singer, which is something that I wanted this time around, because I wanted to make sure that it still sounded like QUIET RIOT and the old songs sounded like QUIET RIOT, but at the same time, James brings his own personality and his own vocal style to the songs. And I certainly welcome that for the old material, and it's certainly been phenomenal for all the songs on 'Road Rage'."

Marilyn Manson has fired his longtime bassist Jeordie White, who performs under the name Twiggy Ramirez.

The news comes less than a week after White was publicly accused of rape by his former girlfriend, Jessicka Addams of the riot grrrl band JACK OFF JILL.

Jeordie has yet to respond to Addams's October 20 Facebook post in which she detailed the physical and psychological abuse in addition to rape while they were in a relationship in the 1990s — a relationship that Addams described as being exceptionally turbulent.

Earlier today, Manson released a short statement via his social media accounts, saying simply: "I have decided to part ways with Jeordie White as a member of MARILYN MANSON. He will be replaced for the upcoming tour. I wish him well." On Instagram, Manson added: "This is a sad day."

White released a statement of his own, writing: "I wish to spend this time with my family and focus on maintaining my several years of sobriety. I will be taking a leave of absence from MARILYN MANSON and regrettably will not be performing on the upcoming tour."

Although the events Addams described happened over twenty years ago, she said she did not go public out of shame and fear that it could damage her band's career.

She later alluded to White's behavior in a 2015 interview, but she said she finally opened up now in solidarity with other women who are coming forward with stories of sexual harassment and abuse in the wake of the many allegations made against film producer Harvey Weinstein.

White first left MARILYN MANSON in 2003, but rejoined five years later, in time to record the band's seventh album, "The High End Of Low".

He has also played with A PERFECT CIRCLE and NINE INCH NAILS in addition to MANSON.

Manson last week released a statement in which he said: "I knew Jessicka and Jeordie had a romantic relationship many years ago and I considered and still consider Jessicka to be a friend. I knew nothing about these allegations until very recently and am saddened by Jessicka's obvious distress."

Manson is next scheduled to perform on November 5 at Ozzfest Meets Knotfest in Devore, California.

According to the Associated Press, the four members of the Polish extreme metal band DECAPITATED pleased not guilty Tuesday (October 24) to charges of kidnapping and raping a woman on their tour bus nearly two months ago.

31-year-old singer Rafal Piotrowski was charged with first-degree kidnapping and second-degree rape, 30-year-old bassist Hubert Wiecek was charged with first-degree kidnapping and third-degree rape, 35-year-old guitarist Waclaw Kieltyka was charged with first-degree kidnapping and second-degree rape and 27-year-old drummer Michal Lysejko was charged with first-degree kidnapping and third-degree rape.

A Polish interpreter explained the court proceedings to the musicians over a speakerphone after which they entered their pleas in English.

Spokane County Superior Court Judge Annette Plese set trial for December 18, though she said that date is very likely to be postponed.

The DECAPITATED members had their bonds set at $100,000 and were forced to surrender their passports to their attorneys. They also aren't allowed to talk to each other while incarcerated.

Piotrowski's attorney, Jeffry Finer, told The Spokesman-Review over the weekend that his client and his bandmates will be pursuing bail, but are waiting on documents from Poland to "impress the court." He said: "Among this group, there are a number of advanced degrees and zero criminal history."

The woman alleged she was gang-raped by the musicians in their tour bus bathroom after DECAPITATED's August 31 concert with THY ART IS MURDER at The Pin concert venue in downtown Spokane as part of the two bands' "Double Homicide" tour. The woman said entered the bus for drinks with the band before each member forced themselves on her.

Deputies later stated the victim had "significant bruising to her upper arms consistent with being restrained" and "small abrasions on her knuckles that were scabbed over."

All four members of DECAPITATED were arrested on September 9 in Santa Ana, California after performing at the Observatory. They were held in Los Angeles County Jail before being extradited to Spokane.

DECAPITATED announced in September that it was canceling all previously announced tour dates. The band also publicly denied the accusations.

In a statement earlier this month, the DECAPITATED members said that the charges against them were pressed "as a procedural formality," adding that "without doing so, [the police] would be forced to release band. This is not a conviction or any indication of guilt or innocence."

The musicians went on to say: "Some facts are indisputable at this point — that the original officer who took the complaint from the accuser stated, 'I do not have probable cause that a rape occurred,' and it's taken a full thirty days to file charges, which is right up against the point at which the defendants would legally have had to be released.

"The band firmly refutes the allegations and are confident that once the facts and evidence have been seen and heard, they will be released and able to return home."

Austrian symphonic metal masters SERENITY will release a brand new full-length album, "Lionheart", on October 27 via Napalm. The disc was mixed and mastered by Jan Vacik at Dreamsound Studios. Gyula Havancsák at Hjules Design And Illustrations created the fantastic album artwork, which can be seen below.

Regarding the production process for "Lionheart", Fabio said: "The most difficult process is always matching the schedules of all of us since we're not living close to each other, and the same for the studio activity. But it always works out well in the end. Everyone is bringing ideas, lyrics and full songs, including the producer Jan. We then select the songs we want to include after a long time process of sorting out, and then the working titles will be replaced with the final one, ones we decide the core of the message."

MÖTLEY CRÜE called it quits in December 2015 following an eighteen-month tour that saw the group performing to packed houses all over the world.

A tour film about CRÜE's final shows, "The End", came out last fall, and a film adaptation of the band's 2001 autobiography "The Dirt" is still said to be in the works.

Speaking to "Trunk Nation", Eddie Trunk's show on SiriusXM channel Volume (106), Vince acknowledged that he is currently the only member of MÖTLEY CRÜE who is waving the flag for the band's music by performing CRÜE songs as a solo artist.

"It's a cool thing, because I love MÖTLEY CRÜE, I love MÖTLEY CRÜE's music, and I love singing, and I love the fans' reactions when they hear the songs," he said. "Whether we're playing in front of a thousand people or twenty thousand people, I can only see the front row anyway. So I'm happy for me and for the fans to be able to still hear that music after MÖTLEY CRÜE is finished."

Neil reiterated the fact that he doesn't mind performing in much smaller places with his solo band than he was accustomed to playing with MÖTLEY CRÜE. "I always look at it like the best of both worlds," he explained. "You know, we had the big, giant MÖTLEY stuff and everything, and then you've got… I like going out and playing… We do fifteen-hundred, two-thousand, three-thousand seaters and some festival stuff, and it's fun to go out there and just let the music do the talking, as the song goes. And I don't miss it. I like just going out there and just raw."

Even though Neil's solo set consists exclusively of MÖTLEY CRÜE material, he says that he tries to keep things fresh by occasionally throwing in "deeper" album cuts that many fans wouldn't expect to hear in a live situation.

"Like [the] songs 'Red Hot' and 'Piece Of Your Action', we didn't have [them] in the set for a long time, and then I was, like, 'Yeah, let's just go ahead and let's do this,'" he said. "Then we added 'Red Hot' and we stopped doing it for a while, and then we just added it again."

He continued: "The old songs are… MÖTLEY didn't play all these old songs, and I enjoy singing these old songs, so it's fun for me and it's fun for the band and it's fun for the crowd."

Neil's solo band includes Dana Strum and Jeff Blando from SLAUGHTER, along with drummer Zoltan Chaney.

METAL ALLEGIANCE will return to Anaheim, California at the House Of Blues on Thursday, January 25 for its annual January metal assault. SNOT's classic debut album, "Get Some", will be released on vinyl for the first time on December 1 via Music On Vinyl. The twentieth-anniversary edition of the LP will be made available on 180-gram audiophile vinyl and will include an insert with lyrics.

SNOT disbanded in 1998 following the death of singer Lynn Strait, putting an end to a career that generated considerable promise but only one studio album, the 1997 Geffen Records release "Get Some". Also killed was the band's mascot Dobbs, Strait's dog who adorned the cover of SNOT's debut album. The band had been writing material for its sophomore CD and had completed ten songs at the time of Strait's tragic passing. As a memorial to Strait, SNOT eventually decided to release those tracks, with lyrics and guest vocals provided by a host of stars from the alt-metal community. The resulting album, "Strait Up", was a fitting tribute from Strait's peers and friends, featuring members of LIMP BIZKIT, KORN, SLIPKNOT, SEVENDUST, (HED) P.E., COAL CHAMBER, SUGAR RAY, SYSTEM OF A DOWN, SOULFLY, and more.

SNOT guitarist Mikey Doling stated: "I am very excited to finally be releasing 'Get Some' on vinyl. It's something I have wished to do for a very long time and we finally are! It's very fitting for a twenty-year release!

Regarding SNOT's decision to go back on the road, Doling told the Wisconsin radio station 107.5 The Rock in a 2014 interview: "We've been friends ever since the old days, twenty years ago. And the reason SNOT stopped is our singer [Lynn Strait] passed away in a car accident. So we stopped, but we have remained friends for many years — I mean, through the whole time — like, we're the closest of bros. SNOT's U.S. tour, during which the band performed its classic "Get Some" album in its entirety, kicked off on November 28, 2014 in Palm Desert, California and wrapped on December 23, 2014 in Pomona, California.

Cummings fronted SNOT in 2008-2009 before he and guitarist Sonny Mayo exited the group amid "strained relationships."

Speaking to myRockworld about some of the lyrical themes covered on "BCCIV", Hughes said: "All the songs were written with a topic — what kind of song we're gonna write musically, what kind of song am I gonna write lyrics about? This album is about walking through the fear, having faith, hope, the killing of dolphins, which I'm against, of course. Look for a big video on [that song, 'The Cove'] — a big video. 'Wanderlust', a song that was written about my travels and always returning home, always safe… to get back home to a safe place. 'The Crow', a very intense rock track written about the bird that watches over the band; it's really a great song about the Black Country. I wrote a song for my father when he passed away, called 'Love Remains'. The chorus was very, very sensitive, and it sounds like a song written for someone that had just passed. So it's a very personal song for me."

As for the track "The Last Song For My Resting Place", Hughes said: "[BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION guitarist] Joe [Bonamassa said to] me, 'Hey, I've got this idea about writing a song about the head violin player… or the leader of the orchestra on the Titanic, and I said, 'That's a really good idea.' So he wrote a lyric about the violin player — a great Joe song that needed to be, as always… I mean, I love Joe, I love Joe's voice and I love Joe's work — I really do love him. And I thought it was a great opportunity to show how versatile Joe is on this particular song. So I'm really happy for Joe."

Elsewhere, the basic idea for "Over My Head" came to Hughes in the middle of the night. "[My wife] hears me singing, [singing] 'Over my head.' And she said, 'Honey, what's that?' I said, 'I don't know, but I have to go and record it,'" Glenn recalled. "And I left the bedroom and I went, [singing], 'Over my head,' and I just wrote a song around that chorus, that very melodic chorus. And I came back to bed, and the idea was recorded. And that's the way I took it to Joe and we finished it together."

BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION's inception took place when Hughes and Bonamassa fused their styles on stage in Los Angeles in November 2009 for an explosive performance at Guitar Center's King Of The Blues event. With the help and guidance of Shirley, they further added to their rock lineage by recruiting Bonham and Sherinian.

BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION has announced two exclusive concerts in Europe during January 2018 to support of "BCCIV". The band will play Wolverhampton Civic Hall on Tuesday, January 2 and London Hammersmith Apollo on Thursday, January 4. These will be the only two concerts the band will play in Europe.

Los Angeles metal titans Winds Of Plague have released another all new single, "From Failure, Comes Clarity”. Listen below. Winds Of Plague will release Blood Of My Enemy via Entertainment One Music (eOne) / Good Fight Music on October 27th. The all new effort will be the follow up to the Resistance LP released in 2013.

Vocalist Johnny Plague comments, "Over a year ago I started making weekly trips up to a small apartment in North Hollywood on my days off to work on music for WOP with Noah Sebastian from Bad Omens. It was strange at first since past WOP records were worked on in larger recording studios or rehearsal spaces and now here I am sitting on the floor of this bedroom working on record number six."

Johnny continues, "Although it was different and humbling it proved to be the unedited creative environment we needed for this record. We had no time limits, no 'suits' giving their input. It was just a few friends sitting in a room together, having a good time creating music. Something I haven't been able to experience in a very long time. Sometimes to move forward you have to take a few steps back. I can confidently say this is the most satisfied I have been with a WOP record. I feel producers Noah Sebastian and Joakim Karlsson have helped us to further develop our unique approach to symphonic deathcore with distinct epic orchestral backed chorus's walking the fine line of brutal and melodic."

Additionally, the band teamed up with artist Pär Olofsson to create the stunning cover art seen below. "Blood Of My Enemy takes us back to the iconic samurai theme. The imagery is inspired by a lyric from the title track 'I will give my life on the battlefield, drowning in the blood of my enemy' Which represents to me a 'I will fight to the end' state of mind. Pär Olofsson brilliantly portrays the aftermath of an epic war showing an almost celestial spark of life amongst the carnage."

Winds Of Plague will support Suicide Silence on the 10 Year Anniversary Of The Cleansing tour for a handful of dates in December. Find all tour dates here.

Less than four weeks after Aerosmith canceled the final four dates of their South American tour due to health issues of Steven Tyler, the singer returned to the stage on Saturday night (October 21st) to perform several songs at a benefit concert at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC, reports Best Classic Bands. The event was for the David Foster Foundation‘s 30th annual concert to provide “financial support for non-medical expenses to Canadian families with children in need of life-saving organ transplants.”

Tyler previously issued the following statement, clarifying rumours circulating in regards to his health: "It breaks my heart to have left this tour early... the band has never played better... just watch the 100,000 people at Rock In Rio. I give you all an A+ for creative speculations but I certainly did not have a heart attack or a seizure (unless Joe Perry is takin’ a rippin’ lead). Sorry to have cut the tour short but I had to have a procedure that only my doc in The States could perform. We’ve been to Tel Aviv, to Russia, to Rio, and all the in-between… I guess it’s true what they say... that life’s a pisser when Eu’re A Peein’..."
