MR. BIG Releases 'Colorado Bulldog' Performance Clip From 'Live From Milan' Blu-Ray

MR. BIG Releases 'Colorado Bulldog' Performance Clip From 'Live From Milan' Blu-Ray

MR. BIG has released a new live video for the song "Colorado Bulldog", taken from the band's upcoming release, "Live From Milan".

"Live From Milan" will be released July 13 via Frontiers Music Srl on 2CD+Blu-ray combo pack, 3xLP, and MP3 (audio only).

Following the release of their 2017 album, "Defying Gravity", MR. BIG set out on a trek that took them all over the world to promote the new release in a live setting. Anyone who has ever had the distinct pleasure of seeing the band live knows that the virtuoso musicianship and incredible vocals are on full display in this setting. By this time, drummer Pat Torpey's battle with Parkinson's Disease had been made public, but Pat toured with the band regardless and sat behind the drum kit for select songs, while also providing background vocals and percussion on other tracks when Matt Starr was taking his turn on the kit. Captured at a stop in Milan, Italy, "Live From Milan" has a track listing that will surely satisfy long-time and newer fans of the band, and of course contains bass and guitar solos from the always entertaining and awe-inspiring Billy Sheehan and Paul Gilbert, respectively.

Sadly, this would be one of Torpey's last performances with the band as he passed away from complications due to Parkinson's in early 2018.

The set captures a special moment in time for the band and also serves as a "greatest hits" of sorts as they hit on all their classic songs from the early albums as well as revered material from newer releases.

Singer Eric Martin says: "The gig was packed, really no room to breathe and it was steaming hot in there, but the energy and vibe that I was feeling from the guys in the band was that we were going to lean into it... Ha! I know that sounds cliché coming from me, but it was true; there was no holding back. I've seen the video of this concert dozens of times now and it's us... hard and heavy and still kicking out the jams."

MR. BIG, formed in 1988, have produced numerous hit songs that ranged across a wide array of rock genres — be it ballads, heavy metal, or blues rock. Their hits include, but are not limited to, "Alive And Kickin'", "Just Take My Heart" and the chart-topping ballad "To Be With You".

SEPULTURA: Official Video Of Juiz De Fora Concert

SEPULTURA: Official Video Of Juiz De Fora Concert

Behind-the-scenes and performance footage from SEPULTURA's June 9 performance at JF Rock City in Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais, Brazil can be seen below.

SEPULTURA's latest album, "Machine Messiah", was released in January 2017 via Nuclear Blast. The disc was recorded at Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden with Swedish producer Jens Bogren. The CD's cover artwork was created by Filipino artist Camille Della Rosa.

SEPULTURA will hit the road in Europe again this August, playing a mix of festivals and club shows.

SEPULTURA's official documentary, "Sepultura Endurance", will tentatively be released on DVD and Blu-ray this fall. The film, which received its world premiere in May 2017 at the Regent theater in Los Angeles, shows the journey from SEPULTURA's humble rural beginnings to decades spent on the international stage, giving an in-depth look into how the band continues to thrive in a changing metal landscape. Crammed full of rare archival footage, and featuring interviews with legends like Lars Ulrich (METALLICA) and Scott Ian (ANTHRAX), and younger artists influenced by SEPULTURA, like SLIPKNOT's Corey Taylor, "Sepultura Endurance" is the definitive document of the band's myths, struggles and heart.

THE AGONY SCENE: 'The Submissive' Lyric Video

THE AGONY SCENE: 'The Submissive' Lyric Video

THE AGONY SCENE has released the lyric video for the song "The Submissive", which will appear on the band's new album, "Tormentor", out July 20 via Outerloop Records/Cooking Vinyl. It is THE AGONY SCENE's first album since 2007's "Get Damned" (Century Media), which was preceded by 2005's "The Darkest Red" (Roadrunner) and 2003's self-titled release (Solid State).

"The song is about the abuse of power and trust," the band said. "More specifically — authority figures preying on naivety and using fear as a means to control and manipulate."

THE AGONY SCENE will appear on the annual Summer Slaughter Tour with BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME, BORN OF OSIRIS, VEIL OF MAYA and more.

Guitarist Chris Emmons previously stated about "Tormentor": "There is an underlying theme to much of the record, and that is the idea of an insane, manipulative creator, a 'tormentor' of all mankind, if you will. The lyrics also touch on the idea that an unquestioning belief in such a creator and an infallible doctrine can lead to a more chaotic and dark world in many cases."

He continued: "'Hand Of The Divine' was written about the Rubio murders that took place in Brownsville, Texas in 2003. These murders occurred as a result of a man who believed that his three children were possessed by demons. The video for 'Hand Of The Divine' follows along the theme of an insane creator, but does have some loose parallels with the Rubio murders. It tells the story of 'The Binding Of Isaac' that can be found in the texts of the Abrahamic religions. This story finds god demanding Abraham to sacrifice his son as an offering, proving his love and obedience. An insane and criminal act by modern standards and law. The story is portrayed a bit loosely, taking interpretations from multiple texts."

Video: SMASHING PUMPKINS Perform On 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon'

THE SMASHING PUMPKINS were the musical guests on last night's episode of "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon". The band played two songs on the program: the new single "Solara" and the classic song "Zero", which originally appeared on SMASHING PUMPKINS' 1995 album "Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness".

"Solara" marks SMASHING PUMPKINS' first recording to feature frontman Billy Corgan, guitarist James Iha and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin together in 18 years. The track, which was produced by Rick Rubin, also features longtime guitarist Jeff Schroeder.

Corgan, Iha and Chamberlin last played together on 2000's "Untitled". "Untitled" was Iha's last PUMPKINS recording prior to "Solara", while Chamberlin's was 2009's "FOL".

Original SMASHING PUMPKINS bassist D'Arcy Wretzky is is not taking part at all in the band's reunion after recently claiming that Corgan offered to have her come out and do sporadic appearances on the upcoming reunion tour.

The "Shiny And Oh So Bright" tour, which will reportedly focus on the band's first five albums, kicks off on July 12 in Glendale, Arizona.

CO-OP Featuring DASH COOPER Release Final Tracklisting, Artwork For Debut Album; "Howl" Track Featuring JOE PERRY Streaming

CO-OP Featuring DASH COOPER Release Final Tracklisting, Artwork For Debut Album; "Howl" Track Featuring JOE PERRY Streaming

Phoenix hard rockers Co-Op, featuring Dash Cooper, son of legendary rock icon Alice Cooper, are preparing to release their self-titled album on June 15th in the US via EMP Label Group, June 29th in Europe via Ellefson Music Productions/SPV. The album features guest appearances from Alice Cooper on “Old Scratch”, and Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry on “Howl”. The band has also announced an album release party for the LP, Saturday, June 17th at Club Red in Phoenix.

Co-Op has released a full-streaming-audio video for their new single “Howl”, featuring a guest appearance from Hollywood Vampires/Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry. Check it out below.

Tracklisting:

"N.O.W."
"Old Scratch" (ft. Alice Cooper)
"Howl" (ft. Joe Perry)
"Desert Dreams"
"Theme For Ignorance"
"Sleep"
"Condemned"
"Secret Scars"
"Never Whisper The Truth"
"Overdrive"

"Howl" (ft. Joe Perry):

"N.O.W." lyric video:

Says Alice, “One thing that Dash’s band has that I absolutely love, is dynamics. I told them one time early on, I said, “Guys, right now you have great parts, but everybody is playing at the same time. You have no dynamics, it’s one big solid line of blast, and I can barely hear the vocals.” The very next time I heard them play, they figured out how to make it dynamic, where they’d go down to one guitar, doing a chug, with the vocals going, and they would come right in with a B section, with everybody, and it was so powerful. And I said, “guys, you have no idea how hard it is to do that.” But they did it on every song. And they still do it.”

He adds, “It’s really great. Even on the radio show I said, “I’m not just playing this because it’s my son’s band, it’s playing because I really like this.” I really like this music. It’s a band with some fire.”

No strangers to performance, since forming in 2014, with a current lineup featuring Dash Cooper (Lead Vocals) Jeremy Tabor (Guitar), and Justin Swartzentruber (Bass), Co-Op quickly amassed a following in the local Phoenix scene. Despite just rounding the corner into their full-length studio debut, Co-Op are already seasoned Rock veterans, having opened massive shows for the likes of Motley Crue, Hollywood Vampires, and KISS, and played backup band to the likes of Alex Lifeson from Rush, Don Felder of The Eagles, and of course Alice Cooper (in addition to frequently performing as Alice’s backup band, and Alice coming to jam at Co-Op shows, the band recently played halftime at the Phoenix Suns game where they performed Cooper classics “School’s Out” and “I’m Eighteen”, with co-vocals by Alice and Dash). Not bad for a band who hasn’t even released a record yet.

In 2017, the band signed to EMP Label Group, the label of David Ellefson of Megadeth, and released an EP while setting out to work on their full-length debut.

Says Ellefson, “Alice Cooper took Megadeth out on our first big tour, and we’ve always had a great relationship. Alice wrote the foreword to my book My Life With Deth. So it’s been really exciting to be able to bring that relationship full circle and work with Dash and Co-Op, who have grown into an incredible rock band.”

2017 also brought the band on their first tour with One Eyed Doll, and labelmates Doll Skin, and the spent the first half of 2018 doing a mix of headlining dates and support for Flaw.

Watch GUNS N' ROSES Perform 'Slither', 'Shadow Of Your Love' At U.K.'s DOWNLOAD Festival

Watch GUNS N' ROSES Perform 'Slither', 'Shadow Of Your Love' At U.K.'s DOWNLOAD Festival

Fan-filmed video footage of GUNS N' ROSES performing the VELVET REVOLVER cover "Slither" and the early GN'R track "Shadow Of Your Love" at this year's Download festival, which took place this past weekend at Donington Park in Leicestershire, England, can be seen below.

VELVET REVOLVER featured GN'R members Slash, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum alongside singer Scott Weiland and guitarist Dave Kushner.

"Slither", which was featured on VELVET REVOLVER's debut album, "Contraband", won a Grammy for "Best Hard Rock Performance" in 2005.

GUNS N' ROSES reportedly rehearsed "Slither" during the 2016 leg of the "Not In This Lifetime" tour, but never performed the song live before its current European tour.

Last month, "Shadow Of Your Love" landed at position No. 31 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Songs chart after being released earlier in the month to promote the upcoming reissue of the band's debut studio album, 1987's "Appetite For Destruction". The song, written by singer Axl Rose and friend Paul Tobias, was originally recorded by Axl's pre-GUNS N' ROSES band HOLLYWOOD ROSE. It then ended up being the first track GN'R ever rehearsed together for "Appetite" producer Mike Clink during studio sessions circa 1986.

The "Locked N' Loaded" deluxe boxed set of "Appetite For Destruction" will arrive on June 29 and include 73 songs — including 49 tracks that never before been released — spread out across four CDs and seven 12-inch 180-gram vinyl LPs. A super deluxe version will also include a 96-page book with unreleased photos from Axl's personal archive, new lithographs and a plethora of memorabilia.

Bassist KING OV HELL Quits ABBATH Over 'Conflicting Views On Lyrical Concepts' Of Upcoming Album

Bassist KING OV HELL Quits ABBATH Over 'Conflicting Views On Lyrical Concepts' Of Upcoming Album

Bassist King Ov Hell has left the Norwegian black metal band ABBATH.

King, whose real name is Tom Cato Visnes, announced his departure from ABBATH in a post on Facebook.

The post read: "King will no longer be part of ABBATH due to conflicting views on lyrical concepts of the upcoming album. The lyrics are inspired by Swiss psychiatrist Carl Gustav Jung. King finds that Jung's connection to Christian mysticism is incompatible with the image of the band."

King said in the statement: "I wish members of the actual band, label, and crew all the best for the upcoming shows and album. The music itself is nothing short of brilliant. However, I must maintain artistic integrity and respectfully step aside."

ABBATH's record label, Season Of Mist, shared the post and wrote: "ABBATH will soon give an official statement about King's departure. No shows will be cancelled!"

ABBATH is the band led by ex-IMMORTAL frontman Olve Eikemo (a.k.a. Abbath).

King Ov Hell appeared on ABBATH's self-titled debut, which came out in 2016. He has also played with GORGOROTH, GOD SEED and AUDREY HORNE.

THE DEAD DAISIES - Rock The Planet Video Documentary Now Streaming

THE DEAD DAISIES - Rock The Planet Video Documentary Now Streaming

"The pressures of touring have been a central part of the rock scene since it’s very beginning, more so than any other kind of music," says journalist Kylie Olsson. "Rock ’n’ roll has always involved getting the message across to the most amount of people in the shortest time, with some of rock’s seminal bands still playing packed out venues and rocking the planet after 30 years or more. Now, these bands all played an intrinsic role in the evolution of the code of rock. But I wanted to see: what is it like to be in a rock band in 2018?"

"So in this first episode, I’m hitting the road with a band that are no strangers to the arduous task of traveling across the globe. Collectively, they’ve been in bands like Dio, Whitesnake, and Mötley Crüe. But together they’re a force to be reckoned with: The Dead Daisies are living proof that classic rock is still very much alive and kicking!”

The Dead Daisies urge fans to "Fasten your seatbelts, folks, because Rock The Planet is here! Together with our friend Kylie Olsson, we wanted to give you an exclusive look into the life of a touring rock band! Check out the video, we hope you enjoy watching it as much as we did filming it! And who knows, if you show us enough love in the comments section, we might even feel compelled to make this into a series…"

The Dead Daisies are returning to North America. After a sold-out tour across the UK & Europe, the band are looking forward to rocking out with their US and Canadian fans.

The current single "Rise Up" is climbing the US-Active Rock Charts and being used extensively in NASCAR promotional campaigns across the country. The guys are also happy to announce that an old friend of the Daisies, Dizzy Reed, is bringing his band Hookers & Blow along as the tour’s special guest.

The band will return to Japan in late June to play three packed headline shows in Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya before heading to Europe in July where they’ll play a series of Festivals along with dates with the Scorpions and Guns N' Roses.

Hookers & Blow, a now legendary project formed by longtime Guns N' Roses keyboardist Dizzy Reed and Quiet Riot guitarist Alex Grossi is celebrating its 15-year anniversary this year. Along with Reed and Grossi, the summer lineup of Hookers & Blow that will tour as special guests of The Dead Daisies will include Robbie Crane of the Black Star Riders on bass and Mike Dupke (ex-W.A.S.P., John Mellencamp) on drums.

Most recently, Dizzy Reed released his very first solo record Rock & Roll Ain't Easy, featuring members of Guns N' Roses, No Doubt, Quiet Riot, W.A.S.P., The Psychedelic Furs, Thin Lizzy and many more.

HYVMINE Release "Cliffhanger" Music Video; On Tour With ANGEL VIVALDI

HYVMINE Release "Cliffhanger" Music Video; On Tour With ANGEL VIVALDI

Progressive hard rock/metal band Hyvmine have released a video for “Cliffhanger”, the second clip from the band’s debut offering, Earthquake.

Al Joseph (lead vocals, lead guitars) states: "This song is about standing up for who the fuck you are and standing up against opposition. The phrase, 'I’ll just keep you hanging,' eludes to how I personally deal with those who seek to sabotage others. I deal with things head on and that’s just how this video was shot. Much like our first video, I worked with the director to capture those up close and tight shots of the band to bring out that gritty attitude we all bring to the table when playing this song live. We shot in an actual canyon, instead of a studio this time. It turned out exactly how I wanted it. Gritty and dirty, just how we like it. Enjoy!"

Watch below:

A PERFECT CIRCLE Releases 2D Clip Of 'The Contrarian'

A PERFECT CIRCLE Releases 2D Clip Of 'The Contrarian'

A PERFECT CIRCLE has released a 2D clip of the song "The Contrarian", taken from the band's recently released recently released album, "Eat The Elephant". Footage in the video is taken from the Steven Sebring-directed ("Horses: Patti Smith And Her Band", "Dream Of Life") companion film for "Eat The Elephant". The clip is part of an album-length film viewable via a prism included in the "Eat The Elephant" deluxe box set.

"It is very much a combined experience of the tactile and the visual," said singer Maynard James Keenan in a recent interview with Billboard magazine regarding the hologram film. "I come from an era where the physical pieces of music were something that you cherished… Something like this brings back that visual excitement for people."

"Eat The Elephant" debuted atop numerous Billboard charts, grabbing the No. 1 spot on the Rock, Independent and Alternative Albums charts, a No. 2 entry on the Top Current Albums chart (for pure album sales) and a No. 3 album debut on the Top 200. This is the band's fourth consecutive Top 5 debut on the Billboard 200.

A PERFECT CIRCLE has added several new shows to its month-long North American trek, including an appearance at this year's Voodoo Music + Arts Experience as well as headlining dates in Baltimore, Detroit and more. Tickets for the newly added headlining dates are on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. local time.

A PERFECT CIRCLE is in the middle of its first European tour since 2004. The band plays three consecutive, sold-out shows in the U.K. beginning tomorrow night in Manchester.

Listen To New LIZZY BORDEN Song 'The Scar Across My Heart'

Listen To New LIZZY BORDEN Song 'The Scar Across My Heart'

"The Scar Across My Heart", a brand new song from Lizzy Borden, can be streamed below. The track is taken from the theatrical rock frontman's first album in 11 years, "My Midnight Things", which will be released on June 15 via Metal Blade Records.

With the hard-and-heavy tracks of the album opening title cut "Obsessed With You" and "The Scar Across My Heart", the extended layoff between albums has not dulled his desire to rock and shock. "Although we have stayed busy touring all over the world, I missed being a recording artist. I look at the new album as a new beginning, I pushed the restart button on my career," Borden comments.

Having signed a new contract with Metal Blade on the strength of three demo tracks, Borden opted to produce "My Midnight Things" himself, with Joey Scott as co-producer. (Joey also handled all the drumming duties.) "I knew what I was going for and had doubts that I could find a producer who would understand that," Borden explains. "My approach is very different than what is happening in today's current sound."

"My Midnight Things" was mixed by Greg Fidelman (METALLICA, BLACK SABBATH, ADELE, U2) and mastered by Tom Baker (DAVID BOWIE, ROB ZOMBIE, MARILYN MANSON, TOM PETTY).

Borden is planning on hitting the road shortly. "I've already started working on the 'My Midnight Things' show, and I really can't wait to play these songs live," he says. "There are so many talented players out there in the world, I know I will find the right musicians to be on stage with me in my touring band in the new show. And just based on what is being talked about so far, it will be the best show I've ever done. I really do feel a new excitement that I have not felt in years. The best is yet to come."

"My Midnight Things" track listing

01. My Midnight Things

02. Obsessed With You

03. Long May They Haunt Us

VOIVOD To Release 'The Wake' Album In September

VOIVOD To Release 'The Wake' Album In September

Canadian progressive sci-fi metal innovators VOIVOD will release their new studio album, "The Wake", in late September via Century Media Records. "The Wake" is the highly anticipated follow-up to 2013's "Target Earth" album and the 2016 mini-album "Post Society".

Commented VOIVOD drummer Michel "Away" Langevin: "We are thrilled to let you know that our new album, 'The Wake', is completed! The music is like a futuristic prog thrash metal trek with many twists and turns, and the story involves the usual Voivodian topics: disasters, chaos, conflicts, strange plots and alternate consciousness. We are excited with the result and can't wait to get the material out to you this fall! Also, try to catch us when we tour Europe in September and October. It will be a great opportunity for the band to test some songs from our upcoming album."

Langevin told the Impact metal channel that the band's next record would be "a concept album, very intricate. It's very progressive thrash. Lots of psychedelia as well. The songs are pretty long. There is only one short rocker; all the rest is progressive music. It's a continuation of [2016's] 'Post Society' [EP]."

The "Post Society" EP was issued in February 2016 via Century Media. It was the follow-up to 2013's "Target Earth", which marked VOIVOD's first album of new material written without original guitarist Denis "Piggy" D'Amour's leftover riffs.

VOIVOD singer Denis "Snake" Bélanger told Metal Wani about the passing of Piggy and the eventual addition of Daniel "Chewy" Mongrain prior to the making of "Target Earth": "Of course, the loss of Piggy was a terrible thing. We couldn't do, really, anything for two or three years; we didn't know what would be the future of the band. And we finally found a guy [Chewy] that could play VOIVOD [music]. And it's sort of a mixture of circumstances that happened. It's, like, 'Okay, maybe there's a light at the end of the tunnel. Maybe if we pick up this guy who learned, actually…' The first thing [Chewy] learned [to play] was VOIVOD. The first show he saw was VOIVOD. And the [day after] he saw VOIVOD, he bought a guitar and started playing Piggy's riffs. So, for us, Chewy was the best option."

AVERSIONS CROWN Releases New Digital Single, 'The Breeding Process'

AVERSIONS CROWN Releases New Digital Single, 'The Breeding Process'

Australian metal destroyers AVERSIONS CROWN have released a brand new digital single to kick off their tour with THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, WHITECHAPEL and FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE. Check out the visualizer for the song "The Breeding Process" below, and stream or purchase the single via all fine digital platforms.

Commented the band: "We spent some time recently in the studio to develop the blueprint for our fourth album. We wanted to figure out exactly what sound we were going for and what direction the album would take. The result of this was 'The Breeding Process'.

"The song paints the disturbing image of a human production farm — aliens abducting humans and using them for inter-species breeding projects.

"The song shows hints of a new direction whilst it also includes AVERSIONS CROWN's DNA from our earlier material. It was mixed and mastered by Will Putney (THY ART IS MURDER, THE ACACIA STRAIN, FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY) and engineered by Matt Shorter. Enjoy!"

AVERSIONS CROWN's latest album, "Xenocide", was tracked by Adam Merker at Studio Anders Debeerz in Brisbane and mixed and mastered by Mark Lewis (WHITECHAPEL, DEVILDRIVER, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER) from AudioHammer.

BARNEY GREENWAY Says MITCH HARRIS Has Already Played Guitar On NAPALM DEATH's Next Album

BARNEY GREENWAY Says MITCH HARRIS Has Already Played Guitar On NAPALM DEATH's Next Album

At this weekend's edition of the U.K.'s Download festival, NAPALM DEATH frontman Mark "Barney" Grenway spoke to Metal Wani about the progress of the writing and recording sessions for the follow-up to the band's 2015 album "Apex Predator - Easy Meat". "The music is recorded to a point, and I'm working on the vocals at the moment and the lyrics and stuff," he said (hear audio below). "Realistically, it'll be [released] next year, I think."

Greenway also confirmed that guitarist Mitch Harris, who has been taking a leave of absence from NAPALM DEATH since late 2014 to focus on his family life, will be involved with the group's next record. "Mitch has played guitar on the album so far," Barney said. "I don't know what Mitch is gonna do outside of recording, to be honest with you. But I can officially say he has played on the album."

Asked about SLAYER's decision to call it quits after completing one final world tour, Greenway said: "You know what, mate? I have no opinion on it, 'cause I think every band's gotta make their own decisions as [far as] that goes. If one day I was feeling, or any of the guys in the band were feeling that the enthusiasm wasn't there to make fresh albums, the enthusiasm wasn't there to play live, then I don't wanna do it anymore. I don't wanna do a 50-percent version of NAPALM DEATH; it has to be a hundred percent. So, whatever those SLAYER guys have decided will no doubt have been after a lot of consideration. So I wouldn't begin to pass judgment on what other bands are doing. So I feel neutral; I don't feel either way. I'm not like that — I don't try to second-guess… I don't really care. They are the ones that have got to come to a decision."

Barney went on to say that SLAYER has been an influence on NAPALM DEATH's music in the past. "Certainly the early albums, to a point," he said. "Not so much as maybe other bands, because we were equally influenced by fast hardcore and punk. Metal is only a certain part of NAPALM DEATH. We get tagged as a metal band very often; that's quite lazy. And I don't mean that in a derogatory way towards people who say that. It's just an easy thing to fall into. NAPALM's a lot more than that, to me."

Earlier in the year, NAPALM DEATH bassist Shane Embury told Christina Rowatt of Australia's The Void about the band's new material: "It's fast, but there's also a lot of some, I don't want to say 'experimental,' but hopefully once it's done it will go in a few different directions. I don't want to say noise, but there will be some stuff like that, a couple of mid-paced, kind of KILLING JOKE-influenced [songs]. Hopefully we'll veer off in a few directions and it will make the album… it will still be abrasive, but not constantly fast all the time. There is some extremely fast stuff, but we've all been kind of like ticking away at every album, trying a little bit of that and little bit of that, so each step, this one will be the most diverse yet, I hope."

NAPALM DEATH will support SLAYER on the second U.S. leg of the latter band's final world tour. The 20-date trek, which will kick off on July 26, will feature additional support from LAMB OF GOD, ANTHRAX and TESTAMENT.

NAPALM DEATH released a special 2CD, 2LP and digital-download compilation titled "Coded Smears And More Uncommon Slurs" in March via Century Media Records. This special collection includes a total of 31 songs with a playing time of over 90 minutes, compiling rarities and exclusive earworms spanning 2004-2016.

GLENN TIPTON Rejoins JUDAS PRIEST On Stage At SWEDEN ROCK FESTIVAL (Video)

GLENN TIPTON Rejoins JUDAS PRIEST On Stage At SWEDEN ROCK FESTIVAL (Video)

Guitarist Glenn Tipton rejoined his JUDAS PRIEST bandmates on stage Saturday night (June 9) at the Sweden Rock Festival in Sölvesborg, Sweden to perform the concert's three-song encore: "Metal Gods", "Breaking The Law" and "Living After Midnight". Fan-filmed video footage of his appearance can be seen below.

Tipton — who revealed in February that he has Parkinson's disease — previously played the same three songs with JUDAS PRIEST at several stops on the band's recent U.S. tour, including in Newark, New Jersey; Uncasville, Connecticut; Worcester, Massachusetts; Kent, Washington; Portland, Oregon; San Francisco, California; Las Vegas, Nevada; and Los Angeles, California. It marked his first public performances since announcing his retirement from touring. He told BUILD Series about the experience of once again sharing the stage with his bandmates: "It's just amazing to get, first of all, support from the band. The texts and e-mails from all over world, and to hear the audience was very emotional. You don't like to see a grown man cry, but we did."

Asked if he is planning on making more live appearances with the group, Glenn told 105.7 WAPL: "I think so, yeah. As long as I'm capable of going on stage and doing my parts and doing it well. I love it — I love to be on stage with PRIEST, and I'll do it for as long as I can."

Tipton found out he had Parkinson's four years ago — after being stricken by the degenerative condition at least half a decade earlier — but only recently announced he was going to sit out touring activities in support of PRIEST's latest album, "Firepower". The guitarist, who is now 70 and has performed on every PRIEST LP since the band's 1974 debut set, "Rocka Rolla", is not quitting the band, but simply cannot handle the rigorous challenges of performing live. He is being replaced on tour by "Firepower" album producer Andy Sneap, also known for his work as the guitar player in NWOBHM revivalists HELL and cult thrash outfit SABBAT.

JUDAS PRIEST kicked off the "Firepower" world tour on March 13 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

"Firepower" was released on March 9 via Epic.

The North American leg of the "Firepower" tour wrapped on May 1 in San Antonio, Texas.

GHOST's 'Prequelle' Lands At No. 3 On BILLBOARD Chart

GHOST's 'Prequelle' Lands At No. 3 On BILLBOARD Chart

GHOST's new album, "Prequelle", landed at position No. 3 on this week's Billboard 200 chart. The disc, which arrived on June 1, shifted 66,000 equivalent album units in the week ending June 7. Of that sum, between 61,000 were in traditional album sales.

GHOST's first week benefits from a concert ticket/album sale redemption offer in association with the band's spring U.S. theater tour, as well as a pair of arena dates later this year.

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA).

GHOST's last studio release, the "Popestar" EP, debuted at No. 6 with 21,000 sold in its first week back in September 2016. "Popestar" started as GHOST's second No. 1 on the Hard Rock Albums chart, following "Infestissumam", which reigned for a week (May 4, 2013). Meanwhile, 2015's "Meliora" also debuted and peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard 200.

"Prequelle" was tracked last year at Artery studios in Stockholm with producer Tom Dalgety (OPETH, ROYAL BLOOD) and mixed in January at Westlake Studios in West Hollywood, California with Andy Wallace (NIRVANA, SLAYER).

GHOST played the first official show of the "Rats! On The Road" U.S. tour on May 5 at Riverside Municipal Auditorium in Riverside, California.

The band broke its show up into two sets, with the first featuring 12 songs and the second consisting of 11 numbers. The group spread out the new material across both sets, interspersed with fan favorites and hits like "Cirice", "From The Pinnacle To The Pit", "He Is", "If You Have Ghosts" and show closer "Square Hammer".

The band has expanded its onstage lineup to include at least eight musicians, not including a guest appearance from Papa Nihil, the aged "original" Papa Emeritus.
