KAMELOT Singer's SEVENTH WONDER: 'Tiara's Song' Video

KAMELOT Singer's SEVENTH WONDER: 'Tiara's Song' Video

Swedish progressive metal band SEVENTH WONDER, which features in its ranks current KAMELOT singer Tommy Karevik, will release its fifth studio album, "Tiara", on October 12 via Frontiers Music Srl. It contains SEVENTH WONDER's first batch of new material since "The Great Escape", originally issued in 2010. Having previously released the live album and longform video "Welcome To Atlanta" (recorded at the ProgPower festival in 2014), the group is now ready to "unleash the beast."

The official music video for "Tiara's Song", taken from "Tiara", can be seen below.

Says bassist Andreas Blomqvist: "The band is stoked to release the first video off of our upcoming album 'Tiara', and the song is appropriately called 'Tiara's Song'.

"The album is a concept album and a crucial moment in the story is described in three songs, entitled 'Farewell Parts 1, 2 And 3', and 'Tiara's Song' is part 1 of that trilogy. This is classic SEVENTH WONDER, so I believe that any longtime fans of the band will be happy with what they hear.

"We are very happy with how the video came out as it captures both the band vibe as well as the other emotions that are present in the song. which deals with profound and ubiquitous emotions concerning life, love and loss."

Originally formed in Stockholm in 2000, SEVENTH WONDER debuted in 2005 with "Become". The second album, "Waiting In The Wings", and first to feature Karevik on vocals, followed in 2006. Two more successful records, the concept album "Mercy Falls" (2008) and "The Great Escape" (2010), followed before the band went on a hiatus of sorts following Karevik being chosen to take Roy Khan's place in KAMELOT.

"Tiara" track listing:

01. Arrival

02. The Everones

03. Dream Machines

04. Against The Grain

05. Victorious

06. Tiara's Song (Farewell Pt. 1)

07. Goodnight (Farewell Pt. 2)

08. Beyond Today (Farewell Pt. 3)

09. The Truth

10. By The Light Of The Funeral Pyres

11. Damnation Below

12. Procession

13. Exhale

Says Blomqvist: "It has been many years in the making, but it is finally done and we couldn't be happier with it. 'Tiara' is everything you have come to expect from SEVENTH WONDER, but I also hope there are some new flavors in there to keep it interesting. We really didn't think too much about what sound we were going for, nor did we have to force it, it all came natural, albeit slow this time around…We are super proud of this album and we are so much looking forward to sharing it with you!"

Continues Andreas: "'Victorious' was the first song on the album that was completed. It wasn't written first, but it was the first one we sat down and wrote the lyrics for, so it is special to us."

SEVENTH WONDER is:

Bass: Andreas Blomqvist

Guitar: Johan Liefvendahl

Vocals: Tommy Karevik

Keys: Andreas Söderin

Drums: Stefan Norgren

LIZZY BORDEN: 'Long May They Haunt Us' Video Released

LIZZY BORDEN: 'Long May They Haunt Us' Video Released

"Long May They Haunt Us", the new video from Lizzy Borden, can be seen below. The song is taken from the theatrical rock frontman's first album in 11 years, "My Midnight Things", which will be released on June 15 via Metal Blade Records.

With the hard-and-heavy tracks of the album opening title cut "Obsessed With You" and "The Scar Across My Heart", the extended layoff between albums has not dulled his desire to rock and shock. "Although we have stayed busy touring all over the world, I missed being a recording artist. I look at the new album as a new beginning, I pushed the restart button on my career," Borden comments.

Having signed a new contract with Metal Blade on the strength of three demo tracks, Borden opted to produce "My Midnight Things" himself, with Joey Scott as co-producer. (Joey also handled all the drumming duties.) "I knew what I was going for and had doubts that I could find a producer who would understand that," Borden explains. "My approach is very different than what is happening in today's current sound."

"My Midnight Things" was mixed by Greg Fidelman (METALLICA, BLACK SABBATH, ADELE, U2) and mastered by Tom Baker (DAVID BOWIE, ROB ZOMBIE, MARILYN MANSON, TOM PETTY).

Borden is planning on hitting the road shortly. "I've already started working on the 'My Midnight Things' show, and I really can't wait to play these songs live," he says. "There are so many talented players out there in the world, I know I will find the right musicians to be on stage with me in my touring band in the new show. And just based on what is being talked about so far, it will be the best show I've ever done. I really do feel a new excitement that I have not felt in years. The best is yet to come."

"My Midnight Things" track listing

01. My Midnight Things

02. Obsessed With You

03. Long May They Haunt Us

04. The Scar Across My Heart

05. A Stranger To Love

06. The Perfect Poison

07. Run Away With Me

08. Our Love Is God

09. My Midnight Things (Reprise)

10. We Belong To The Shadows

The album can be pre-ordered at metalblade.com/lizzyborden, where the record is available in the following formats:

AMORPHIS: 'Amongst Stars' Video Released

AMORPHIS: 'Amongst Stars' Video Released

"Amongst Stars", the new video from Finnish melancholic progressive metallers AMORPHIS, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's latest album, "Queen Of Time", which is being released today (Friday, May 18) via Nuclear Blast. The follow-up to 2015's "Under The Red Cloud" includes the use of real strings, flutes, orchestral arrangements and even choirs. In addition, this is the first time that people are able to hear their lyricist Pekka Kainulainen on the album as he contributes a speech in Finnish.

"Queen Of Time" was once again produced by Jens Bogren (OPETH, AMON AMARTH, KREATOR), who is well known for challenging and motivating artists during the recording process. He isn't afraid to push them to their limits.

The "Queen Of Time" cover artwork, which was created once again by French artist Jean "Valnoir" Simoulin from Metastazis, captures the feeling of the lyrics and the music. With Pekka Kainulainen's (lyricist) words, the lyrical theme is universal: "Cultures rise, flourish, and are destroyed. The story of man is the story of searching, finding, and forgetting. A single spark can set the world afire, a single idea can give birth to a new culture. The greatest can stagnate into insignificance, the smallest can hold the power for change. The lyrics on this album are distant echoes of ancient forest peoples, from a time when meaning was proportioned by the cosmic forces that govern birth and death. If the connection was lost, they sought for a strand of knowledge, found a new direction, and a new age began."

"Queen Of Time" is also the first AMORPHIS album to feature the band's old/new bass player Olli-Pekka "Oppu" Laine following the departure of Niclas Etelävuori in 2017. Oppu was one of the founding members of AMORPHIS in 1990 and recorded the first seven records with the band before he exited the group in spring 2000.

"To be honest, 'Oppu' was the only guy we could imagine being in AMORPHIS," says Esa. "It was funny — when we started to play our first shows together again last summer, it all felt so familiar. He was involved with arranging songs and he also even brought some new songs to the table… really good ones, too!" Oppu adds: "Even though the last year with AMORPHIS has been exciting, nostalgic and fun, it's also been truly comfortable to be with the guys again. As a clichéd expression, it's been like returning home from a lengthy odyssey. After 18 years, it feels like we are picking up where we left off from the good ol' days! I'm really looking forward for the upcoming tour. The new album itself is a really strong package, the only hard thing will be picking which songs to play live! It's safe to say we are set to pull off some killer shows over the next few years. After that, I'm predicting a long and fruitful career for the band in its current form..."

"Queen Of Time" track listing:

01. The Bee

02. Message In The Amber

03. Daughter Of Hate

04. The Golden Elk

05. Wrong Direction

06. Heart Of The Giant

07. We Accursed

08. Grain Of Sand

09. Amongst Stars

10. Pyres On The Coast

Bonus tracks (digi, 2LP, and mail-order edition only)

11. As Mountains Crumble

12. Brother And Sister

Holopainen comments: "I guess 'Queen Of Time' turned out as a massive surprise to all of us. During the rehearsing and pre-production, we didn't have any idea that Jens had this huge picture inside of his head about the landscape of the album. It's a very natural continuation to 'Under The Red Cloud' but with steroids. The songs are more aggressive but there's more dynamics, harmonies and orchestral arrangements present. The result is AMORPHIS as something you've never heard before! Essentially, working with Jens worked really well. As a person, he is very similar to us — we share the same kind of weird humor and we all like to work hard."

SINSAENUM Feat. DRAGONFORCE, Ex-SLIPKNOT Members: 'Final Resolve' Video Released

SINSAENUM Feat. DRAGONFORCE, Ex-SLIPKNOT Members: 'Final Resolve' Video Released

SINSAENUM, the extreme death metal project featuring DRAGONFORCE bassist Frédéric Leclercq and former SLIPKNOT drummer Joey Jordison, has released the official video for a new song called "Final Resolve". The track, a brutal punch in the face, is the first to be released from the band's forthcoming album, "Repulsion For Humanity", out August 10 via earMUSIC.

With its earworm riff, its powerful larger-than-life chorus, its technical and melodic solo section, "Final Resolve" shows yet another side of SINSAENUM. The presence of Les Tambours du Bronx, the renowned French industrial percussion band, certainly adds to the song's martial groove — making it an instant metal anthem for crowds to bang their heads to.

Founding member and mastermind Frédéric Leclercq said: "It is still death metal, it's undeniable. But we found it interesting to mix it with other elements that we all like. This is only one aspect of the album and what SINSAENUM is about — 'Final Resolve' is just an obvious first single due to its catchiness. Because yes, it is possible to play death metal and be catchy. [Laughs]."

Fans will notice that Attila Csihar (MAYHEM) is absent from the video. Due to scheduling conflicts, the distinctive black metal vocalist could not partake in the album recording process as much as he wanted to. "Attila is still a member of SINSAENUM," explains Leclercq. "He contributed to some backing vocals and lyrics but basically had to step out of this album/tour cycle. Nevertheless, he is still one of us. We have his full 'blessings' on the new recordings — we were in constant communication during the recording of 'Repulsion'... and Sean did an amazing job on vocals."

"Ave Sin-Bloods!," said Attila himself. "Because of my duties with my other bands, I could not take part as much as I wanted in the latest SINSAENUM recordings. But that does not mean that I stopped playing with the band — it is just temporary. Check out our new album because it will shave your goosebumps, it's a frightmare!! We will never stop to open the depths of hell in your souls. Stay tuned and raise your demons!"

With the help of Francis Caste on mixing duties, SINSAENUM sharpened their own sonic identity, far from the typical death or modern metal sound.

The cover artwork, created by none other than Travis Smith, matches the radical, violent and angry approach of the album.

This autumn, SINSAENUM will be touring Europe for the first time since its formation. U.S. tour plans remain to be determined.

Last November, SINSAENUM released the EP "Ashes", with Metal Hammer Germany declaring it to be a "rad sign of life" and Metal Hammer U.K. taking it one step further, saying, "Take that form into the studio for the second full-length and we could have a classic on our hands."

"Echoes Of The Tortured", SINSAENUM's first album, was nominated as "Best Debut" by Metal Hammer Germany and was praised worldwide as one of the freshest and finest approaches to death metal.

With these impressive credentials, it is hard not to label SINSAENUM a supergroup, since it embodies the joint venture of Leclercq and Jordison. The rest of the band is of no less importance and credibility — Sean Zatorsky (DÅÅTH, vocals), Stephane Buriez (LOUDBLAST, guitar), Heimoth (SETH, bass) and Csihar (MAYHEM, vocals) – all of which are well respected in their fields – complete the ensemble, making SINSAENUM the epitome of premium-level heavy metal.

ALICE COOPER Guitarist RYAN ROXIE Releases 'To Live And Die In L.A.' Lyric Video

ALICE COOPER Guitarist RYAN ROXIE Releases 'To Live And Die In L.A.' Lyric Video

Ryan Roxie will release his new solo album, "Imagine Your Reality", on May 25 via Cargo Records UK. The vocalist, guitarist and songwriter, who is best known as Alice Cooper's longtime lead guitarist and collaborator, has also worked with Slash and Gilby Clarke and been a member of Classic Rock award-nominated band CASABLANCA.

"Imagine Your Reality" is Ryan's first official solo release and sees him joined by other noteworthy musicians, including a collaboration with CHEAP TRICK's Robin Zander on the track "California Man".

The official lyric video for the song " To Live And Die In L.A." can be viewed below.

Says Roxie: "The straight-ahead riff, rock guitar part, the sardonic lyrics and overall angst were originally concocted years ago, but I could never get the balance of sarcasm and anger just right... until now. This song was actually very therapeutic in helping me let go and make certain situations in my life 'water under the bridge'... And in the end, 'To Live And Die in L.A.' was too good a phrase to just be a cop/action/suspense movie."

"Imagine Your Reality" continues Roxie's legacy of creating infectiously melodic songs and straight-ahead, no-nonsense rock riffs, and this time with more guitar than ever before. Ten tracks, all underlined by ten gleaming guitar solos. From the punk rock undertones of "Never Mind Me" to the un-sugarcoated tale of life in "La La Land (To Live And Die In LA)" to the superb BEATLES-y/OASIS nod "Look Me In The Eye" — it's an uplifting big rock sound. Zander transforms "California Man" into the ultimate vintage-vibed, top-down, drive-in-the-sunshine rock 'n' roll anthem.

Ryan says: "CHEAP TRICK were a major influence in my musical upbringing. Both Robin Zander and Rick Nielsen have joined us onstage at Alice Cooper shows in the past and have always been the most quintessential rock stars. In my opinion, Robin Zander's voice is the definition of rock 'n' roll, so having him guest vocal on 'California Man' definitely ticks a box off my 'greatest moments in rock 'n roll' list."

"Imagine Your Reality" track listing:

01. Big Rock Show

02. Over And Done

03. California Man

04. To Live And Die In L.A.

05. Uh Oh Song

06. Me Generation

07. Look Me In The Eye

08. Hearts In Trouble

09. Nevermind Me

10. God Put A Smile Upon Your Face

"Image Your Reality" was produced by Kristoffer "Folle" Folin, Tommy Henriksen and Jon Bordon. I twas recorded and mixed at Purple Skull Studios in Stockholm, Sweden.

Says Roxie: "With this album, I think we kept the spirit and power of the 3.5-minute rock song intact as well as keeping the dream of guitar-driven music alive and well. I can't wait for people to experience my reality."

Recording lineup:

* Ryan Roxie - Guitars, Vocals

* Tommy Henriksen - Bass on tracks 1, 6, 9

* Kristoffer "Folle" Folin - Bass on tracks 2, 3, 4, 5, 7

* Jon Bordon - Badd on track 8

FLAT EARTH Feat. Former HIM And AMORPHIS Members: 'Blame' Video Released

FLAT EARTH Feat. Former HIM And AMORPHIS Members: 'Blame' Video Released

FLAT EARTH, the new band featuring former HIM members Mikko "Linde" Lindström (guitar) and Mika "Gas Lipstick" Karppinen (drums) alongside ex-AMORPHIS bassist Niclas Etelävuori and POLANSKI singer Anttoni "Anthony" Pikkarainen, has released the official video for its first single, "Blame". The song is taken from FLAT EARTH's debut album, which was recorded at Finnvox in Helsinki with producer Hiili Hiilesmaa, who has previously worked with HIM, AMORPHIS, THE 69 EYES and APOCALYPTICA, among others.

The "Blame" video was mainly shot during the recordings of the disc in February and March by Tommi Mattila, who followed the band to capture some documentary material.

FLAT EARTH was formed after Etelavuori fell out with the manager of AMORPHIS and exited the latter band. Suddenly, Niclas was left stranded. He decided to show the world that he still had a lot to give, so he started looking for possible bandmates.

Niclas explains: "After over two decades playing with bands, I was at a point thinking that maybe I start doing something else. But then I knew I had these songs on my hard drive still, and nothing was done with them. And I just wanted to get rid of them and see what happens. But then it kind of took over and I started to focus more on that."

Linde first sprang to mind, even though he still had his hands full with HIM at that time. Nevertheless, the two of them kept meeting regularly, and started working on ideas for new songs. Getting Anthony on board provided additional inspiration. And when their old bandmate Karppinen finally joined on drums, the group's lineup was completed.

While Linde was busy playing the States and Europe on HIM's farewell tour, the remaining trio spent their time recording drums to seven pilot demos that had previously been taped in Niclas's basement studio. Gas brought along two of his own songs, and Anthony composed a new track for the band. Linde found an old song of his he had first fleshed out when he was only 13. The rest of the tracks were Niclas's ideas mainly, treated to the band's arrangements, with Anthony providing both the vocal melodies, as well as the lyrics. The basic structure for the first album was ready.

Linde remembers: "Our common friend, who's been helping us get this band off the ground, recommended a guy named Anttoni 'Anthony' Pikkarainen, who had been singing in a band named POLANSKI. The band had made a record, and after we'd listened to it, we had to set up a meeting immediately.

"I have a great feeling about our new band. Anthony had recorded with Hiili Hiilesmaa before, and the rest of us have known each other for years. It feels as if all the stars have finally aligned."

FLAT EARTH is:

Mikko "Linde" Lindström (HIM) - Guitar

Mika "Gas Lipstick" Karppinen (HIM) - Drums

‪Niclas Etelävuori (AMORPHIS) - Bass

‪Anttoni "Anthony" Pikkarainen (POLANSKI) - Vocals

POWERFLO Feat. BIOHAZARD, CYPRESS HILL, Ex-FEAR FACTORY Members: 'The Grind' Video

POWERFLO Feat. BIOHAZARD, CYPRESS HILL, Ex-FEAR FACTORY Members: 'The Grind' Video

POWERFLO — the band featuring BIOHAZARD's Billy Graziadei and former FEAR FACTORY bassist/guitarist Christian Olde Wolbers alongside Sen Dog from CYPRESS HILL, Rogelio Lozano from DOWNSET, and Brazilian drummer Fernando Schaefer — has released an animated video for its latest single, "The Grind". The song is taken from POWERFLO's self-titled debut album, which came out last June via New Damage Records. The disc was produced by Josh Lynch and Billy Graziadei, mixed by Jay Baumgardner (GODSMACK, PAPA ROACH, HELMET) and mastered by Maor Applebaum (FAITH NO MORE, HALFORD, ADRENALINE MOB) at Maor Applebaum Mastering.

POWERFLO will release a new EP, "Bring That Shit Back", on June 1 via New Damage Records.

Speaking about the upcoming EP and the band's impending European tour, Graziadei says: "We've been in the studio working on some new music for our next release! We're about to drop a new EP, and we're gonna hit Europe for the first time in June. We been stayin' on that grind."

Melding hip-hop, metal, punk, and rock into a potent offering, POWERFLO draws on its powerhouse resume to collectively smash boundaries.

The origins of POWERFLO can be traced back over more than two decades as the members of the band would collaborate on numerous occasions. In addition to both CYPRESS HILL and BIOHAZARD appearing on the landmark platinum-selling "Judgment Night" soundtrack, Sen Dog delivered a cameo on BIOHAZARD's "State Of The World Address" in 1993, while Christian both guested on CYPRESS HILL's chart-topping 2000 double-album "Skulls & Bones", which Roy also guested on, and 2001's "Stone Raiders" in addition to performing with the group countless times. In 2015, longtime friend Roy played demos for Sen on a ride to the airport. The music immediately spoke to the rapper and thus POWERFLO was born.

CLUTCH: Lyric Video For New Song 'Gimme The Keys'

CLUTCH: Lyric Video For New Song 'Gimme The Keys'

The David Brodsky-created lyric video for "Gimme The Keys", a brand new song from Maryland rockers CLUTCH, can be seen below. The track is taken from the band's upcoming album, "Book Of Bad Decisions", which is due on September 7 via the group's own Weathermaker Music label. The disc was completed at Sputnik Sound studio in Nashville, Tennessee with producer Vance Powell.

"Gimme The Keys" was written about CLUTCH's first tour back in 1991, a time where the bandmembers began to cut their teeth in the live music business, dealt with show cancellations and incidents on the road. One particular show in a shed surrounded by cornfields in Lawrence, Kansas ultimately turned ugly over a missing microphone and accusations brought by drunk and gun-toting security people at the end of a long day. "Gimme the keys they can keep the guarantee / Gimme the keys and get the hell out of dodge" is a reflection of the mood of that night.

"With Vance Powell as producer, we were able to make a very different kind of an album" says drummer Jean-Paul Gaster. "The songs feel as if they could jump out of the speakers!" Bassist Dan Maines seconds that when he says: "Recording in Nashville with Vance Powell gave us a new and fresh approach towards making an album that truly captures the live energy of CLUTCH in a way I don't think we've done before." Guitarist Tim Sult adds: "Laying down guitar tracks with Vance was fun and inspiring. Going through and trying out his and his engineer Mike Fahey's collection of vintage amps was one of my favorite recording studio experiences. I think the outro solo of 'Emily Dickinson' turned out particularly great."

"Book Of Bad Decisions" track listing:

01. Gimme the Keys

02. Spirit of '76

03. Book of Bad Decisions

04. How to Shake Hands

05. In Walks Barbarella

06. Vision Quest

07. Weird Times

08. Emily Dickinson

09. Sonic Counselor

10. A Good Fire

11. Ghoul Wrangler

12. HB Is in Control

13. Hot Bottom Feeder

14. Paper & Strife

15. Lorelei

The album cover was designed by renowned photographer Dan Winters and can be seen below.

Speaking to "The Liquid Conversations" host Shawn SixX, CLUTCH frontman Neil Fallon stated about working with Powell: "He comes from the live background; he's a touring engineer, front-of-house… he's one of us. And so he came out on the road with us for three or four days, and his philosophy was just to put microphones in front of the cabinets, record the band all together in one room. It's a very simple thing that's kind of gotten lost in translation. And the album, listening to it now, I know it's gonna be a really honest and accurate portrayal of how [the songs] are gonna sound on stage."

Asked how "Book Of Bad Decisions" compares to 2015's "Psychic Warfare", Fallon said: "I think it's more stripped down in some regards. There's more of a wider range of tempos. There's more songs; there's 15 of 'em on there. At this point, I was so close to it for so long, I kind of can't see the forest for the trees; I have to take a step back to understand what this record is, if that makes any sense."

Neil also touched upon the new CLUTCH album title, explaining that it came "from a song on the album, which, to me, it's a pretty dark song. I was trying to write lyrics that were kind of like a Cormac McCarthy novel in about three and a half minutes," he said. "But anyone in their life does bad decisions, and you can look back and see the repercussions of that spread out like a pebble thrown into a pool. We've made bad decisions; we've also made really good ones. Thankfully, all of us are surrounded by good people that ride our wheelhouse when we get a little tipsy."

"Psychic Warfare" debuted at No. 11 on The Billboard 200 chart after shifting 26,000 equivalent album units in the week ending October 8, 2015.

Cuban-Born Ex-SLAYER Drummer DAVE LOMBARDO Performs In His Former Homeland For First Time Ever (Video)

Cuban-Born Ex-SLAYER Drummer DAVE LOMBARDO Performs In His Former Homeland For First Time Ever (Video)

Ex-SLAYER drummer Dave Lombardo, who was born in Havana, Cuba but emigrated to Southern California with his parents when he was a toddler, finally got a chance to visit his former homeland earlier this month when SUICIDAL TENDENCIES played two shows in Cuba. The May 7 concert at Centro Cultural Club Bariay in Holguin and the May 11 gig at Salon Rosado De La Tropical in Havana marked the first time Dave has ever performed in the Caribbean nation.

A video recap of SUICIDAL TENDENCIES' time in Cuba can be seen on Facebook. A couple of video reports from AFP are available below.

On Thursday, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES posted the following message on Facebook: "We had the greatest time in Cuba. As a band, we couldn't be more honored with the opportunity of going and playing two shows for all the wonderful people we met there, and as bandmates we couldn't be happier for witnessing all the love our brother Dave Lombardo received from his people. Suicidal and proud... We are family! Stay cyco!"

President Barack Obama rolled back regulations four years ago, making it legal (and easier) for Americans to visit Cuba without a tour group.

Back in 2014, Lombardo told Canadian rock journalist Mitch Lafon that he "would love to go back" to Cuba "one day. I think it would be awesome. I [would] probably see some distant cousins and whatnot, and would love to play and just absorb the culture, something I've been longing for." He added at the time that he was "saddened" by the fact "that there's a country there 90 miles off the coast of Key West [Florida] [and] I haven't been able to travel to [it]. Even when my dad was alive, it would have cool to take him back over there and for him to tell me everything, [about] where the family started," he said.

In a 2012 interview with Noisecreep, Lombardo spoke about how his Cuban roots affected his musical upbringing. "Living in a Cuban household, my parents would go to these Latino social clubs when I was a kid," he said. "I remember being there and seeing the men playing dominoes, drinking coffee and talking about the old country. It was a really family-oriented kind of thing. But what I remember the most were these dances they would have at the clubs."

He continued: "My mom would try and get me to go out and dance to the big live bands that would perform these parties at the social club. But I would be backstage, sitting on a piano stool and staring at the musicians in the band. That's where my fascination with being a musician started. My mom would get so mad and say, 'Come on, Dave! There are some pretty girls out there that want to dance.' But I was more interested in watching the band performing."

TALLAH Feat. MAX PORTNOY: 'Placenta' Video Released

TALLAH Feat. MAX PORTNOY: 'Placenta' Video Released

Pennsylvania metal band TALLAH — which features in its ranks Max Portnoy, son of Mike Portnoy (DREAM THEATER, AVENGED SEVENFOLD, THE WINERY DOGS, SONS OF APOLLO) — has released a video for the song "Placenta". The track is expected to appear on the group's upcoming five-song EP.

Max stated about video: "It's like 2001, but with all the new age twist you could want and none of the rehashed bullshit."

TALLAH is comprised of Justin Bonitz on vocals, Andrew Cooper on bass, Derrick Schneider on guitar, AJ Wisniewski on guitar and Max Portnoy on drums. They have a shared passion for playing intense, angry, loud, heavy, and intricately weird music. The band relies on the spirit of innovative metal realized through panicked guitar screams treated with industrial elements and distortion. Screaming vocals mixed with melodic choruses and driving bass guitar with deep and dirty tones sync up effortlessly with the thunderous bellows of the drums and screeching ping of the snare.

TALLAH made its live debut in Brooklyn, New York and recently played two shows on the Schecter stage at NAMM 2018.

GEORGE LYNCH And COREY GLOVER Team Up In ULTRAPHONIX: 'Original Human Music' Album Due In August

GEORGE LYNCH And COREY GLOVER Team Up In ULTRAPHONIX: 'Original Human Music' Album Due In August

earMUSIC has announced the worldwide release of the debut album by ULTRAPHONIX, the new creation of Corey Glover (LIVING COLOUR) and George Lynch (DOKKEN, LYNCH MOB), alongside the great rhythm section formed by drummer Chris Moore and Pancho Tomaselli on bass.

"Original Human Music" was co-produced by Bob Daspit (SAMMY HAGAR) and it displays the magic match between Glover's iconic voice and Lynch's unique style on the guitar.

The core and value of ULTRAPHONIX lies in the songwriting and the quality of the songs.

Due on August 3, "Original Human Music" is an album where Glover's profound and thoughtful lyrics sound loud — together with the warm and heavy wall of sound created by Lynch. It's all sustained by a rhythm section that can go anywhere musically.

Lynch says: "The album sounds like a fusion of early [RED HOT] CHILI PEPPERS meets KING CRIMSON meets JUDAS PRIEST! It's a super-fun band."

Drawing on (very heavy) rock, funk, and jazz influences, the band paints a picture of a band still believing that social consciousness could be celebrated through great rock songs.

On Friday, May 18, the first single "Walk Run Crawl" will be available as digital download and stream.

The official video for the song can be seen below.

"Original Human Music" track listing:

01. Baptism

Video: TREMONTI Performs Acoustic Cover Of THE CARS Classic 'Just What I Needed'

Video: TREMONTI Performs Acoustic Cover Of THE CARS Classic 'Just What I Needed'

On May 16, Mark Tremonti and Eric Friedman of TREMONTI stopped by WDHA's Coors Light Studio and hung out with Terrie Carr. While there, they performed an acoustic cover version of THE CARS' classic "Just What I Needed" as well as the song "Take You With Me" from TREMONTI's fourth album, "A Dying Machine".

"A Dying Machine" will be released on June 8 via Napalm Records. The disc was produced by Michael "Elvis" Baskette, who has helmed all previous TREMONTI albums along with ALTER BRIDGE's last four long-players.

From the militant drum assault of the album opener "Bringer Of War" to the instrumental closer "Found", "A Dying Machine" is TREMONTI's most-diverse musical offering to date. Songs like "From The Sky", "Throw Them To The Lions" and "A Lot Like Sin" are signature TREMONTI that fans have come to love from the trio. Tracks like "Trust", "The First The Last" and "Desolation" take the listener to new places sonically, all backed by Tremonti's signature vocal style.

"A Dying Machine" is the first concept album of Tremonti's career and the music is inspired by a story that came to Mark while on the last ALTER BRIDGE tour. During that time, the epic title track "A Dying Machine" was born. The story, which is being turned into a full-length work of fiction authored by Mark Tremonti and John Shirley, takes place at the turn of the next century where humans and fabricated beings called "vessels" are trying to co-exist. Tremonti and Shirley are working on finishing the novel to release alongside the record.

TREMONTI's third album, "Dust", was released in April 2016 via Fret 12.

"Dust", which was recorded during same sessions as 2015's "Cauterize", featured Tremonti on vocals/guitars, Eric Friedman on guitars, Wolfgang Van Halen on bass and Garrett Whitlock on drums. Baskette produced "Dust".

Although Wolfgang Van Halen was part of TREMONTI's touring band in 2013 and played on "Dust" and "Cauterize", he sat out TREMONTI's tour schedule because of commitments with VAN HALEN.

As previously reported, METALLICA will embark on a European stadium tour in May 2019. The trek, which will run through August 2019, is expected to be officially announced in September.

METALLICA just completed a 24-date European tour and is next scheduled to hit the road at the end of the summer for the 2018-2019 North American leg of of its "WorldWired" tour.

Touring in support of its latest album, "Hardwired… To Self-Destruct", that arrived in November 2016, METALLICA launched the world tour in Latin America a month before the disc's release. In early 2017, prior to the North American stadium tour, the band made festival appearances and headlined concerts at venues in Asia, Europe and Latin America.

Although METALLICA played U.S. stadiums last summer, the band was mostly indoors for the first leg of its European tour last fall.

METALLICA's European tour included the first drone swarm for a major touring act. It consisted of 120 autonomous micro drones that emerge from the main-stage prop lifts during the song "Moth Into Flames" and swarm into several formations over the band's heads, according to Pollstar.

The 2017 dates on the "WorldWired" tour, which included stadium shows across the U.S., grossed $110.3 million in North America and $152.8 million worldwide.

GUNS N' ROSES Makes First 'Mainstream Rock Songs' Chart Appearance In Nearly A Decade

GUNS N' ROSES Makes First 'Mainstream Rock Songs' Chart Appearance In Nearly A Decade

GUNS N' ROSES' "Shadow Of Your Love" has landed at position No. 31 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Songs chart after being released earlier in the month to promote the upcoming reissue of the band's debut studio album, 1987's "Appetite For Destruction". The song, written by singer Axl Rose and friend Paul Tobias, was originally recorded by Axl's pre-GUNS N' ROSES band HOLLYWOOD ROSE. It then ended up being the first track GN'R ever rehearsed together for "Appetite" producer Mike Clink during studio sessions circa 1986.

"It was magic from the first day," Steven Adler, the band's drummer at the time, said. "The first song we played in rehearsal was 'Shadow Of Your Love', and Axl showed up late. We were playing the song, and right in the middle of the song, Axl showed up and he grabbed the microphone and was running up and down the walls screaming. I thought, 'This is the greatest thing ever.' We knew right then what we had."

The newly released version of "Shadow Of Your Love" earned 1.1 million audience impressions in three days of airplay across all rock radio formats in the U.S. in the week ending May 7, according to Nielsen Music. "Shadow" is GN'R's first track to crack Mainstream Rock Songs in nearly a decade and its 22nd entry overall.

The "Locked N' Loaded" deluxe boxed set of "Appetite For Destruction" will arrive on June 29 and include 73 songs — including 49 tracks that never before been released — spread out across four CDs and seven 12-inch 180-gram vinyl LPs. A super deluxe version will also include a 96-page book with unreleased photos from Axl's personal archive, new lithographs and a plethora of memorabilia.

GUNS N' ROSES will return to the road in June for a seven-week European jaunt, continuing the semi-reunion tour that started in April 2016 and features Rose, guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan.

Adler and guitarist Izzy Stradlin, who both played on "Appetite", have not been part of the reunion trek, although Adler did play drums on two songs at a handful of stops on the tour.

Listen To New NINE INCH NAILS Song 'God Break Down The Door'

Listen To New NINE INCH NAILS Song 'God Break Down The Door'

NINE INCH NAILS will release a new EP, "Bad Witch", on June 22. The six-track release is billed as the final installment of a trilogy, following 2016's "Not The Actual Events" and 2017's "Add Violence".

The first single from "Bad Witch", track called "God Break Down The Door", can be streamed below.

In an interview with Beats 1's Zane Lowe, NINE INCH NAILS frontman Trent Reznor stated about his somewhat unique vocal approach on the new song: "We find if we don't watch ourselves, we tend to try to get somewhere comfortable, because it feels better. And from the sound of the drums to the kind of frantic drumbeat to looking around the studio and seeing the untouched baritone tenor and alto sax that are sitting there, they're there because they remind me that I can't play them as well as I used to be able to. For 20 years, I've been saying I'm going to really get my technique back because it would be fun to do. And there they sit taunting me in the corner. We pulled them out and we just started fucking around, really, led with Atticus [Ross] arranging. An hour performance kind of turned into this thing that felt like we hadn't been there before and that started to reveal a whole different character. The space changed and then we felt motivated. When it came time to sing, I was really just trying things out, just to see. I never had the courage to sing like that; I didn't know I could sing like that."

Reznor also spoke in more details about NIN's upcoming material, including the trilogy's evolution and where "Bad Witch" fits within it.

"Let me drop some cryptic information on you," he said. "The idea of this three EP thing was all to find truth in us figuring out who we are now and how we fit into the world. The first EP, 'Not The Actual Events', was meant to be from a personal, angry self-destructive reflection on that question and defining how I feel in a world. It feels stranger. Part of that's aging. Part of that's because the world is getting weirder. Finding your place in a world that looks different every day and reacting to that in the first EP through anger and self-destruction and sitting alone setting a match to your life. The second EP, 'Add Violence', was meant [in response] to the same question. But looking for answers externally. Maybe it's because of this and there's comfort in that. Maybe there's a reason things feel kind of crazy, and it's not that I'm insane [or] that I'm in a situation that's insane. There was the third EP which has grown into an LP ['Bad Witch']. The entire system has a much more bleak and pessimistic outlook, and I don't want to say too much because it gives away kind of the what the thing is. But it wasn't necessarily what we thought it was going to be when we started. I thought it was going to go more science fiction."

In support of the EP, NINE INCH NAILS will embark on the "Cold And Black And Infinite" 2018 North American tour. The trek will launch September 13 in Phoenix, Arizona and include two-night appearances at Colorado's Red Rocks (September 18-19), New York's Radio City Music Hall (October 13-14), and Chicago's Aragon Ballroom (October 25-26), wrapping with four dates at the Palladium in Los Angeles (December 7,8, 11 and 12).

Tickets to the tour at being offered at The Physical World presale events beginning on May 19 at each venue's box office (except for a two-night stand at Red Rocks, whose presale will be on May 20 at the Denver Coliseum box office).

All seats for the tour will be offered on an in-person, first-come-first-served basis only with a four-ticket limit per show.

Support at all dates will come from THE JESUS AND MARY CHAIN.

IRON MAIDEN's BRUCE DICKINSON Talks About Embraer Legacy 500 Private Jet (Video)

IRON MAIDEN's BRUCE DICKINSON Talks About Embraer Legacy 500 Private Jet (Video)

IRON MAIDEN's Bruce Dickinson, an accomplished pilot, recently visited Embraer to spend some time flying a Legacy 500, which the employees personalized for the occasion. Check out what has to say about the plane in the video below (courtesy of AINonline.com).

The Embraer Legacy 500 is a midsize private jet introduced in 2014. It costs $20 million and can fly non-stop between New York and Los Angeles.

Dickinson, a registered commercial pilot who owns Cardiff Aviation, told Wales Online in an interview that he still gets a thrill out of flying, but that it's a totally different sensation to playing live.

"The satisfaction flying airplanes is getting the job done, but the satisfaction with playing live is external, looking out at all the people looking at you," he said. "With an airliner, it's all internal. If you've got passengers, nobody goes, 'Wow! Wasn't that great?' They're thinking about the rest of their day. Your job as an airline pilot is to deliver them safely and be invisible. That's quite nice for me because it's completely the opposite to what I do when I sing."

Dickinson flew his band around the world in their plane dubbed Ed Force One, named after IRON MAIDEN's iconic mascot Eddie.

He gained a commercial pilot's license after learning to fly in the 1990s. In 2012 he set up Cardiff Aviation, an aircraft maintenance company which has signed an agreement with the Djibouti government to help re-launch their national airline.

DEPTHS OF HATRED To Release Bloodguilt EP In July; Teaser Streaming

DEPTHS OF HATRED To Release Bloodguilt EP In July; Teaser Streaming

Montreal technical death metal outfit Depths Of Hatred is the latest band to join the Prosthetic Records roster. Having released two full lengths and done countless North American tours, the band has now aligned with the LA metal powerhouse to release a new 6-track EP titled Bloodguilt on July 20th.

This will mark the first recordings with new frontman, Nico Monette, who replaces exiting singer, Dominic D.D.

A sample of the album featuring Monette can be heard below:

The band comments on all the recent activities, “Hey guys, we've been pretty quiet for the past few months but with good reason. It is with great pleasure that we announce our signing with Prosthetic Records, our new frontman Nico Monette and a new EP, Bloodguilt, set to be released in July. We want to thank our forever brother Dominic for everything he did for Depths Of Hatred and wish him nothing but the best. We are back in full force now and looking forward to getting back out on the road. See you all soon!”

D.D addressed his departures by saying, “This has been hard to keep under the covers and no easy decision for me to take, but after our last tour in December, I decided to step down as vocalist for Depths Of Hatred. I have lived and learned so much in the past seven years with the boys, but life on the road eventually took its toll on me and it wasn't fair to the band to have me sticking around. That being said, their new vocalist is an incredible frontman and I can't wait to see what lies ahead for the band. The new album rips. Thanks to everyone who's ever given a damn about me and the band, shaken my hand, had a good talk with me or simply given me the 'good set dude' after a show. I'll be around!”

Coming right before the release of Bloodguilt, the band will embark on a two and a half week Canadian run with Hideous Divinity . Starting July 19th in Montreal, it will serve as Monette’s first concert with the band as well as their EP release show. Complete tour dates can be found below.

They followed that up with a single in 2016 and hit the road again with Aegaeon, Alterbeast, Virvum, Vale of Pnath and more. Depths Of Hatred deliver a ruthless sound that keeps their listeners on the edge of their seats. KHÔRADA Featuring Former AGALLOCH, GIANT SQUID Members – Debut SALT Out In July; “Ossify” Single Streaming

KHÔRADA Featuring Former AGALLOCH, GIANT SQUID Members – Debut SALT Out In July; “Ossify” Single Streaming

Rising from the ashes of Agalloch and Giant Squid, a new group is born: Khôrada. Featuring former Agalloch members Don Anderson (guitar), Jason Walton (bass) and Aesop Dekker (drums) alongside ex-Giant Squid guitarist/vocalist Aaron John Gregory, Khôrada creates colossal, textured, and emotionally powerful music. The group will release its debut album, SALT, on July 20th via Prophecy Productions. First single, “Ossify”, is streaming below.

“’Ossify’ was the last song we wrote for SALT, with the sole purpose in mind of it being the big closer on the record. By premiering this track first, we may be giving away the ending of the movie. But, we'd rather think of it as a flash forward - leaving the listener to ponder all that came before it - especially considering the strange yet fitting ‘futuristic’ vibe of the song, thanks in large part to the contribution of lush keyboards by Andrew Southard from Giant Squid. Lyrically ‘Ossify’ explores what I imagine may transpire after all the often dystopian themes told throughout SALT.” - Aaron Gregory

As a completely fresh concept, Khôrada is an opportunity for the musicians to explore new soundscapes while creatively challenging themselves. With SALT, Khôrada forges breathtaking swathes of sound that swell, stretch, submerge and recede with panoramic power.

At once atmospheric, aggressive and apocalyptic, the album's emotion is driven by the band members' view of today's world; these are precarious times. SALT was written under the pressure and uncertainty of the beginning of the Trump-era, standing as a musical exploration of the landscape in which, we now live. Paired with the surreally visceral artwork of internationally renowned painter & sculptor Cedric Wentworth, the visual explorations prove to be as haunting as the ethereal vocals of Aaron himself.

“SALT is what a collection of musicians, each with over 20 years of experience, sound like when they start over from zero. Watch LAMB OF GOD's Video For Cover Of BIG BLACK's 'Kerosene'

Watch LAMB OF GOD's Video For Cover Of BIG BLACK's 'Kerosene'

Richmond, Virginia metallers LAMB OF GOD have released the Zev Deans-directed video for their cover version of the BIG BLACK song "Kerosene". The track is taken from LAMB OF GOD's covers album, "Legion: XX", which will be released under the BURN THE PRIEST banner on May 18 via Nuclear Blast in Europe and Epic Records in the U.S.

"BIG BLACK is a very important band to me," says vocalist Randy Blythe. "When I was 12 and first listening to punk rock, I thought all punk came from England — but then through skating, I got into BLACK FLAG and BAD BRAINS. I soon discovered this super-smart American punk rock — very caustic, and deeply sardonic about the murky side of the human experience. That got me into Steve Albini's future bands SHELLAC and RAPEMAN — and all the noisy smart punk rock on labels like AmRep and Touch & Go. 'Kerosene' was one of their biggest songs, if they even had one. It speaks to small-town boredom."

LAMB OF GOD may be one of the biggest bands in modern metal, but they will never forget where they came from. Mark Morton (guitar), John Campbell (bass) and Chris Adler (drums) formed the first incarnation of the band, BURN THE PRIEST, in the winter of 1994 after meeting four years earlier as students at Virginia Commonwealth University. Less than a year later, in the summer of 1995, they met Blythe before adding Chris Adler's brother, Willie Adler (guitar), prior to transitioning to LAMB OF GOD — and the rest is global metal history.

Morton says: "To truly understand the essence of the band BURN THE PRIEST, one must first consider the landscape in which it began: the mid-'90s. Grunge and alternative music ruled the airwaves. Social media and the internet had yet to assume their role as our collective sources for entertainment and cultural exchange. It was a time when DIY 'zines turned us on to new bands and regional scenes, and 'copy and paste' still implied a print shop and a glue stick."

BURN THE PRIEST's self-titled debut album, released via Philadelphia-based Legion Records, documented what was, in essence, a primal punk band performing metal. Ultimately, as they grew in local popularity, the five-piece chose to stray away from their name to avoid being associated with satanic metal, choosing the name LAMB OF GOD.

Morton continues: "As our sound and songs developed, so did our goals… we began playing basement parties and warehouse shows and in doing so, we realized that the energy we were creating was transferable. The shows we played in those squats and warehouses [in Philadelphia] and the people we met there are forever embedded in our collective consciousness and the DNA of our band."

As they enter their 20th year since releasing their first self-titled album as BURN THE PRIEST, the band will release a full-length covers album that reflects on the greatness of classic punk, hardcore, crossover and noise — rock subgenres that contributed to what LAMB OF GOD, and indeed, the world, now view as modern heavy metal.

As BURN THE PRIEST, the band presents "Legion: XX" — featuring tracks originally performed by CRO-MAGS, AGNOSTIC FRONT, QUICKSAND, MINISTRY, BAD BRAINS, MELVINS, S.O.D., THE ACCÜSED, BIG BLACK and Richmond punk band SLIANG LAOS. The tracks are performed with the unmistakable precision that has kept the band vital for two decades, but ultimately harks back to the raw, punk-driven sound first explored by four unsuspecting college students and a line cook-turned-vocalist in their formative years. Produced with Josh Wilbur at the helm, "Legion: XX" exhibits BURN THE PRIEST in their true element.

"Our inauspicious beginnings somehow grew into something none of us had ever even imagined possible, let alone aspired to, however, this is the story of BURN THE PRIEST," adds Morton. "The songs we chose to cover on this album reflect that story. They are touchstones from that point in time. The inspiration we gleaned from these bands and these songs carries through our work and our creative pursuits, even to this day. Many thanks to these bands for lighting our fire and endless gratitude to our fans around the world for keeping it lit."

"Legion: XX" track listing:

01. Inherit The Earth (THE ACCÜSED cover)

02. Honey Bucket (MELVINS cover)

03. Kerosene (BIG BLACK cover)

04. Kill Yourself (S.O.D. cover)

05. I Against I (BAD BRAINS cover)

Video Premiere: POP EVIL's 'A Crime To Remember'

Video Premiere: POP EVIL's 'A Crime To Remember'

American rock titans POP EVIL have debuted a stunning new music video for their track "A Crime To Remember". Directed by Columbia Tatone, who also helmed the band's last two videos, "Waking Lions" and "Colors Bleed", this is now the third music video installment we've seen from the band's most recent self-titled LP.

The video beautifully defines the core message of the song, which is clear and present in the song's triumphant background vocals: "Are we divided / Are we united?" — also a constant theme throughout the new LP.

Vocalist Leigh Kakaty comments: "Columbia has delivered what we feel is the most powerful video to date for POP EVIL. The concept keeps an open book storyline on how human beings view the world at the moment. Our hope is to raise awareness that it's time for all of us to come together and be united."

The video is being released in memory of late producer Kato Khandwala, who was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident last month in Los Angeles. Kato had produced countless rock albums, including the most recent POP EVIL LP. Kakaty says: "It's been a long few weeks for us. We are still grieving the loss of Kato, who was an incredible talent and an amazing human being. His daughter Paris is in need of help since his passing. Donations can be made to her here."

Starting tomorrow, POP EVIL will return to American amphitheaters in full force supporting two legendary acts, POISON and CHEAP TRICK, on the "Nothin' But A Good Time 2018" tour. VIP Packages are available now at PopEvilVIP.com. Produced by Live Nation, tickets for all cities are on sale now.

POP EVIL's fifth, self-titled album was released on February 16 via Entertainment One. "Pop Evil" marks the recording debut with the band of British drummer Hayley Cramer, who joined POP EVIL in 2016 following the departure of Josh "Chachi" Marunde.

"As soon as we saw [Hayley's audition] video, we were, like, 'Oh my goodness. She's the one,'" Kakaty said. "Her first tour with us was in packed arenas opening for ROB ZOMBIE and DISTURBED. It was crazy, but when things work, they work. She's been like the big sister we never knew we wanted but we're so glad we have. And she's so passionate about the music. Songs that we'd been playing for years suddenly came to life in a different way and then she came in and killed it on this record. It was a rejuvenation for us. She's nothing short of a blessing."

SPOCK'S BEARD: 'Somebody's Home' Lyric Video Released

SPOCK'S BEARD: 'Somebody's Home' Lyric Video Released

U.S. progressive rockers SPOCK'S BEARD will release their 13th studio album, "Noise Floor", on May 25. For this disc, Ted Leonard, Alan Morse, Dave Meros and Ryo Okumoto are joined in the studio once again by drummer and original member Nick D'Virgilio.

The official lyric video for the song "Somebody's Home" can be seen below.

SPOCK'S BEARD is a band that is in a continual state of evolution, as is always the case with genuinely creative musicians. And "Noise Floor" fits perfectly into this process.

"We are always about evolution, not revolution. But what we have done this time is make the songs more melodic," believes vocalist/guitarist Ted Leonard. "We still love our crazy prog, but now appreciate how important it is to grab people's attention early on."

As with all SPOCK'S BEARD songs, most of the new album was written by the individual members, and then brought to the rest of the band as high-quality demos. "We all do this type of thing in our home studios," says Leonard. "So, by the time they reach the stage where the entire band get to judge them, they are really developed, and therefore everyone can make a reasoned judgement." Much of what you will listen to here is very much the product of fresh inspiration from the Californian band.

One key change on this album sees the return of drummer Nick D'Virgilio, who originally left in 2011. There are also two violinists, a cello player, a viola player and an English horn featured on the album, thereby giving the sound a slightly more evocative and persuasive twist.

The album was once again engineered by long-time collaborator Rich Mouser and will be released as a 2CD digipak (featuring an EP of material from the same sessions), gatefold 2LP + 2CD and as a digital download.

The track listing is as follows:

Disc 1 - Noise Floor

01. To Breathe Another Day

02. What Becomes Of Me

03. Somebody's Home

04. Have We All Gone Crazy Yet

05. So This Is Life

06. One So Wise

07. Box Of Spiders

08. Beginnings

Disc 2 - Cutting Room Floor

01. Days We'll Remember

02. Bulletproof

03. Vault

04. Armageddon Nervous

SEAR BLISS: 'Shroud' Lyric Video Released

SEAR BLISS: 'Shroud' Lyric Video Released

Long-running Hungarian atmospheric black metal band SEAR BLISS will release its eighth album, "Letters From The Edge", in July via Hammerheart Records.

The group, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary, has just made available the first song, "Shroud", from the upcoming album in the form of a lyric video created by guitarist Attila Kovács.

SEAR BLISS vocalist and leader András Nagy said: "It was a pretty difficult decision when we were asked by the label to pick up a song to publish prior to the official release of the album. We felt we could make a video for any of the songs. Finally we chose 'Shroud' as it represents very well the atmosphere of the whole album and shows a clear vision of the musical direction we have taken with the band.

"I don't want to go into details of how the song was written or the message it carries. We want to leave it to the listener to explore its depths.

"To sum it up, this is a very personal song both musically and lyrically and the video made by Attila also reflects the unity of the band and the way the album was born."

"Letters From The Edge" track listing:

01. Crossing The Frozen River

02. Forbidden Doors

03. Seven Springs

04. A Mirror In The Forest

05. Abandoned Peaks

06. Haven

07. The Main Divide

08. Leaving Forever Land

09. At The Banks Of Lethe

10. Shroud

Nagy previously stated about "Letters From The Edge": "It's been a while since our last album was released. Many things happened... some good, some bad. Then, since the year 2015 things started to roll again and we built a pretty solid lineup. We had lots of live shows all over Europe and in 2016 we celebrated the 20th anniversary of our debut album, 'Phantoms', with a memorable tour. As the chemistry in the band grew, we went to an abandoned castle to write new songs in January 2017. Most of the songs of the album were written there, yet the recordings/mixing took nearly a year by the supervision of producer Viktor Scheer. The album was mastered by mastermind Dan Swanö.

"We have put an enormous amount of effort into these songs, and I know it's lame to say, but I do believe this album is going to be the definitive SEAR BLISS record. I know it, because I only felt this when we made our first album back in 1996.

"To me, 'Letters From The Edge' is kind of a synthesis of all what SEAR BLISS is about. 25 years of exploring our borders.

"We are glad to work with Hammerheart Records on this, a label we always respected."

I PREVAIL Debut “Rise” Video

I PREVAIL Debut “Rise” Video

In the closing chapter to their debut album, Lifelines, Michigan rock group, I Prevail, give fans their signature mix of narrative and humour with their new music video for “Rise”.  Directed by the team at Dominar Films, the video follows the boys of I Prevail attempting to face off against the most challenging of foes in a modern arcade environment. The track is a favourite off their album, Lifelines, released in 2016.

“We knew we wanted to create a video for ‘Rise’ very early on in the making of Lifelines,” lead-guitarist, Steve Menoian, explains. “The song is an anthem about the competition and dedication that come with overcoming obstacles and achieving goals. During our first year of touring, we spent almost every day off at Dave & Busters. This was partly because we couldn’t afford hotels or fancy restaurants, but mostly because we found ourselves having to compete with each other at every turn, no matter how petty or small the stakes.  It’s just part of who we are. This video will give you a front row seat to our over competitiveness and a window into our darker sense of humour. The entire process of making this video allowed us to travel back in time and remember how much we love what we do and how we wouldn’t want to be doing this without each other and our fans.”

The band is currently playing mid-west dates at select venues and making several festival appearances, including Rock On The Range, Rocklahoma, and Rockfest. In the span of two years, I Prevail have played festivals like the main stage on the Vans Warped Tour, Rock On The Range, Carolina Rebellion and have mostly sold out over 200 headline shows. To date, their debut album, Lifelines, is approaching 400,000 albums sold worldwide.

I Prevail is Brian Burkheiser (clean vocals), Eric Vanlerberghe (harsh vocals), Steve Menoian (lead guitar), and Dylan Bowman (rhythm guitar).

Tour dates:

18 – Peoria, IL – WIXO Spring Fling
19 – Lafayette, IN – Lafayette Theater
